Pastor E
So listen, one of the things that we get to do on Wednesday, which I absolutely love, is we get to sit down and dissect the Word of God line upon line, precept upon precept. And we're on this journey on the road to Pentecost.
Dr. Crumpton
Oftentimes we talk about Pentecost and the day of Pentecost had fully come.
Pastor E
But oftentimes we don't know the journey it took to get there. And that's enough to Preach for some of you today. Some people don't know the journey it took for you to get where you are today. And there's a road. There's a story behind that. So today I have a few of my colleagues with me, if they will come join me up here. Dr. Crumpton, could you put your hands together for Dr. Crumpton.
Dr. Crumpton
And the none other incomparable.
Pastor E
The man has a memory like none other. Because there's 62,000 seats. He's getting ready to step to sit down. My brother, my friend, Pastor Thomas. Listen, you can take your seats. You can take your seats. God bless you. Tonight, uniquely, we're going to do something. Make sure we set up some prayers for our other colleagues who are traveling and not feeling well.
Dr. Crumpton
But tonight we get to talk about something that I am absolutely excited about,
Pastor E
because one thing that I've learned about
Dr. Crumpton
church is sometimes church can be antiquated. Okay, let me make that real nice.
Pastor E
Sometimes the church can keep its old
Dr. Crumpton
way of thinking when God is trying to do a new thing. Okay, I'm gonna say that again. It's gonna be real rough right about here. Sometimes God has moved and we didn't. And oftentimes we're asking God, where are you? And God has said, no, where are you?
Pastor Dobbins
Yeah.
Pastor E
And understanding that when God says, where are you? He's not concerned about topography.
Dr. Crumpton
He's concerned about spiritually, mentally, emotionally.
Pastor E
Are you moving with him?
Dr. Crumpton
Because it's amazing to me, how can
Pastor E
God be everywhere at the same time, yet still. He's still moving?
Dr. Crumpton
That's a powerful guy.
Pastor E
Isn't it amazing how God can be in yesterday, today, and tomorrow at the same time? So he's not concerned about tomorrow because he is tomorrow. So if you know the God of tomorrow, you're in relationship with the God tomorrow, then why are you worried about
Dr. Crumpton
the person who holds tomorrow?
Pastor E
So we should be able to shift and move how God tells us to shift and move and think it not strange concerning these fiery darts of the enemy. So what we're going to do tonight
Dr. Crumpton
is we're going to take a deep dive. A deep. A deep dive. And I think I want to start with my colleague, Dr. Crumpton. We. We're going to take a deep dive into. Y' all. Hold your breath. Women in ministry.
Pastor E
I. I see you clapping online. I see you clapping online. Tonight we're going to talk about women in ministry.
Dr. Crumpton
And we going to hopefully tear down some walls of dogma, antiquated ways of thinking to. Now we can think more freely that we are a team, that we work better together, that. Okay, I'm not gonna stop. Okay. Dr. Crumpton. I know.
Pastor E
Because I think one of the things
Dr. Crumpton
that we miss Dr. Crumpton, is oftentimes we run out after the gospel, but we. We see it from a male egotistical standpoint, which it is male dominated in the text, but oftentimes we overlook the hinges.
Pastor E
The most powerful part in the text
Dr. Crumpton
and is where a woman shows up.
Pastor E
And it's when she shows up sometimes
Dr. Crumpton
that we don't do due diligence, understanding
Pastor E
the importance of why she showed up. So when we talk about the road to.
Dr. Crumpton
I don't say the road to Damascus.
Pastor E
We talk about the road to Pentecost. It's important that we understand that
Pastor H
man
Pastor E
was out of place.
Pastor H
Yeah. So first of all, give the Lord a praise, because I'm using my iPad tonight. I'm trying to transition from my written notes to my iPad. So praise the Lord.
Dr. Crumpton
The shift.
Listener or Participant I
The shift.
Pastor H
We went to Africa. As far as as many of you know, that I take the doctoral students to Africa. And so this one trip, we were in Nairobi, and Dr. Timothy Noya, if I'm saying his name correctly, was talking about the power of women. He was raised by a single mom, and she taught him how to be a man. And he was talking about that, that in the culture of Africa, women were the dominating force. But because the masculinity felt challenged, then they would suppress the women. So it was not that the women weren't powerful. Bathsheba. Not Bathsheba. Yes, Bathsheba. The women weren't powerful. It was that the men felt challenged. And so they would suppress the women so that their masculinity could come forth. It is also known in Scripture that a lot of scripture suppresses women. And because of that, and even though they're in scripture, I found a person in scripture that I've preached about and didn't know her name. Oh, my goodness. I just found out what her name was. But she was hidden in the pages of Scripture. And although it sounds male dominated, there are women all through scripture, and they are leaders in scripture. They are ministers. They are missionaries, disciples in Scripture. And so that's what we're here to talk about tonight.
Dr. Crumpton
As a matter of fact, it's funny you say that now. I didn't say it. It's it. I've heard it stated before that when Mary gives the announcement to the apostles, she's technically called the apostles of apostles. Now, I'm not going to bother that. I'm Just telling you what I read in the Bible.
Pastor E
I'm just so. I think.
Dr. Crumpton
I think a good way to kind of open this discussion is let's take a deep dive into some scriptures that we may have omitted. Read her name real fast without understanding the relevance of the role she played in that.
Pastor E
Because even if you look within the
Dr. Crumpton
heartbeat of our community, I'm not trying to be funny. You all know this. I don't have to testify anytime.
Pastor E
An athlete, somebody gets something. Hey, I want to thank my mama. Hey, my mother was there, my grandmother was there. I told my boys, I said, listen,
Dr. Crumpton
you get on that TV now, you
Pastor E
thank your mama, but I better be next now.
Pastor H
So what we're going to do, where I would like to start, because as we were discussing what scriptures we would come from, we talked about John, Matthew, you know, we went all around. But I want to start in Mark.
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah.
Pastor H
Because what you'll find out as you study scripture, each gospel has a different phase or aspect of the tomb. And I want to go back to the tomb from the morning at the tomb to the performing the ritual at the tomb, which I'll talk about in a minute. Watching the tomb and then making preparation, preparation at the tomb for the body of Jesus. Now, Mark's gospel is unique because it records collective accounts. What that means is it's composed of accounts that people told stories about Jesus's tomb over time. So this is a collection of stories in the book of Mark rather than the context of one single person. Right. Mark's approach to his gospel is community driven, which presents Jesus's story in a more palatable fashion. Because we see now his death traumatized the community. And when we were talking, when Bishop and PT Were talking Sunday and PT Was talking about trauma, it just triggered something in Pastor Vin Shard and I, and we start talking about trauma. Well, Mark's Gospel talks about the trauma to the community when they lost Jesus. Now that Jesus is gone, the people are having to suffer a great loss, and they are deprived of their leader and their collective beliefs. Their collective beliefs and their shared identity is unraveling now because they're mourning the loss of a great leader. But here's where the women show up. In Greek and Roman and Jewish culture, mourning was a ritual practice, and it was designed to help a community process through trauma. Together, these practices were called ritual lamentation. And this is important to note because women played a prominent role in the ritual lamentation practice. Some of the elements of this practice included the certain spices that they rub on the deceased body and Then the crowd would sing songs of lament over this body. And during this time, this is when the community could begin to mend from their brokenness, from their grief, and from their loss. So who were the women at the tomb of Jesus? They talk about. And we read that in Scripture. And again, I'm just in the Book of Mark, we got Mary Magdalene, we got the other Mary, who is likely the mother of James and Joseph. And then we have Salome. Salome is the mother of James and John, the sons of Zebedee. Then we have Joanna, the wife of Chuza, steward of hair in Herod's household. And then one of the scriptures, one of the Gospels, I think it's John. It's either John or Luke says, and the other unnamed women. But what I like about Mark is Mark takes the time to identify all the women at that went to the tomb. And he starts from the beginning of the book of Mark all the way to the end. And he's identifying these women. So he brings up Simon's mother in law, the woman with the issue of blood, Jairus daughter, the Syrophoenician woman, the poor widow, the woman who anoints Jesus, even Jesus's mother and Jesus's sisters, all of them went to the tomb. When in the other Gospels, women had been relatively silenced. Mark not only records their names, but he also provides characteristic illustrations or identifying traits of who these women were. One of the other reasons that Mark identifies these women by name is because Mary was a popular name and almost half of the community was named Mary. So he had to identify what Mary was. So I want to read to you, and then I'm almost finished. I want to go from Mark 16 and the first 14 verses. It won't take us long. Go with me there. And I think it'll be on screen as well. And it says when the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James and Salome, bought, not brought, bought spices so that they bought, not brought. They bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus's body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb. But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled away. And they entered the tomb. The they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side. And they were alarmed. He told them, don't be alarmed, you're looking for Jesus, the Nazarene who was crucified. He's risen. He's gone. See the place where they laid him. But go tell his disciples. And Peter, we don't have time. He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him just as he told you. Verse 8 says. Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone because they were afraid. Now here's what I want to tell you. Under Jewish law, women could not be a witness. It was a tradition that the Jews shared with the Greco Mormon gender stereotypes because women were thought to be gullible, credulous, superstitious, hysteric, and especially when they were in a place where there was a lot of uproar. And so their wit with witness was not considered credible. Their witness was considered unreliable. And as the women arrived at the tomb with the spices to anoint Jesus's body, they saw that the. The. The stone had been rolled away. So I want to drop down to verse nine. It says, when Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. Watch this. She went and told those who had been with him, who were mourning and weeping. But when they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they didn't believe it. Why? Because of what I just told you. A woman could not be a witness under Jewish tradition. Afterward, Jesus went in a different form to the two of them, which takes us back to last week, Luke 24. While they were walking in the country down the road of Emmaus, these returned and reported it to the rest, and they didn't believe them either. And later Jesus appeared to the 11 as they were eating and he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him and he had risen. So Mark shows us in his Gospel his attitude toward and his perception of women and how he esteemed their validity, he esteemed their significance, their resilience, and he considered them equals. And so reading the Book of Mark, you get to see the grandiose picture of women with Jesus who followed him not while he was, not just while he was alive, but also to the tomb.
Dr. Crumpton
I am so glad she read all the way through that marked gospel. Yeah, you can put your hands together
Pastor E
for that reason being is this.
Dr. Crumpton
Well, let me say this too. There are deacons in the aisle way. We are taking questions as well. So please, as we kind of go through our panel discussion, if there's a question you have, please, please don't Hesitate to ask, but Dr. Crump, I'm so glad you read that particular passage of scripture, because we. We go through this, and that's the ending that. But if you go back also to Luke, chapter 8, in Luke Gospel, chapter 8, verses 1 through 3, the women were not there just in the end. The women were there in the beginning. So in other words, they didn't get on the train as it was moving. They started with him.
Pastor E
But the one word, the one word that you brought up, you said, and
Dr. Crumpton
the women bought the spices. Yeah, they didn't bring them. They. They paid for it.
Pastor H
They paid for it.
Dr. Crumpton
Okay, I'm gonna say that again.
Pastor E
They pay for it, which now implies they have their own set of income not sustained by a man. So now they're supporting Jesus. They're supporting ministry based off decisions they made, which now says to me they have a business plan, business strategies. That's totally opposite of a man. Okay, I'm gonna take Luke, chapter eight, verse number one says this. It says, soon after, Jesus began going
Dr. Crumpton
around from city to city village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom, the twelve with him, verse number two.
Pastor E
And also some women who had been
Dr. Crumpton
healed of evil spirit and sicknesses.
Pastor E
Mary, who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons gone out.
Dr. Crumpton
Now, here's what is. And Joanna, the wife, Harrod Stewart, Susanna,
Pastor E
and many others who were contributing to their support out of their own private means.
Pastor Dobbins
Wow. Wow.
Pastor E
I didn't write it. It's in the text.
Pastor H
It's in the text.
Pastor E
It's in the text. So they came with a support system that was totally opposite of the 12 disciples. So we can't just leave that alone. We can't just walk away from that and say, okay, well, the women have no credibility. Sit in the back. No, you can't have my support and sit and have me sit in the back.
Pastor H
Listen.
Dr. Crumpton
But.
Pastor E
But I also need to say this. As. As. As a man, I need.
Dr. Crumpton
I need to understand and get. Be able to communicate.
Pastor E
I don't have to tear you down
Dr. Crumpton
to build me up.
Pastor Dobbins
There.
Pastor E
There's. There is enough glory, there's enough God for all of us that's right to be equal in power and submitted to
Dr. Crumpton
the will of God.
Pastor E
So we can't just take away that support system that the women had from the beginning. Here's what we do. Here's what we have. And the Bible says they did it from their own private means, not borrowed.
Pastor H
And most of the financial support that Jesus got, if you consider it, came from the women, even back to Mary of Bethany, the one that anointed his feet, she bought that with her own money. A year's worth, a year's worth of finances, a year's worth of income. And she bought that with her own money and used it on Jesus. And so most of his financial support came from the women that followed him.
Pastor E
So she took a year's worth of salary. I need y' all to hear this. She took a year's worth that she
Dr. Crumpton
had saved up, came in, broke it at his feet. And what men thought was wasteful, God thought was worship.
Pastor H
Yep. Absolutely.
Pastor E
So be careful how you see somebody's interaction with God, because what you may
Dr. Crumpton
deem as wasteful, God may see his worship.
Pastor E
And then Jesus turns to correct the man and say, what? What are you talking about? He didn't put it like that. I put it like that. That's the version of Don. What are you. What are you talking about? I can't even imagine if he says, what if. Y'.
Dr. Crumpton
All, we're not doing this.
Pastor E
Pt's not doing.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm not doing it.
Pastor E
What if God said, everybody bring me
Dr. Crumpton
a year worth of your salary? Everybody just paused, right Then, just.
Pastor E
It got ripped. Blessed quietness, a spirit of hush just
Pastor J
fell over the church.
Pastor Dobbins
Y' all stood with us online.
Pastor E
Wait a minute.
Pastor Dobbins
Can you hear us? Put. Put something in the chat.
Pastor E
Hey, everybody's salary just decreases. I'll bring you a thousand now. I'll bring you 2,000. But a whole year. Here's the key, Doctor, I just thought about this when you just said that to me. She had a whole year set aside.
Pastor H
Set aside in a saving somewhere.
Pastor E
She had it just sitting there.
Listener or Participant I
Sitting there.
Pastor E
You talk about a shout all by itself. What if you had a year of salary just sitting to the side that you had access to anytime you wanted it?
Pastor H
Anytime you wanted it.
Pastor E
You can't do that with a dream. You do that with a strategy.
Pastor H
And think about it. Think about it. The woman with the issue of blood, she used all her own money to go to all the doctors. She didn't give any to Jesus. She gave it to the doctors. But because she had spent all her own money, Jesus came back and saw that she was really in need. All her financial support was gone. It was gone. And this dis. Ease. Dis Ease that had taken her out. Now he says, listen, you spent everything. So now let me handle it. Let me take care.
Pastor E
Please.
Dr. Crumpton
Please.
Pastor E
Dobinson.
Pastor J
Well, I'm just thinking from a natural standpoint. My grandfather had three daughters. I am the sum total of three women who Reared, raised, challenged me and pushed me beyond my potential. I was raised by strong women. In this text, it's just how my mind goes. Mark, out of all the books of the Bible, takes these 11,304 words to then condense it to one last chapter to articulate the power of women.
Dr. Crumpton
Yep.
Pastor J
In the text you will find some will show 188 women mentioned. There are another alliterations that show 333 women were actually mentioned in the entire Bible.
Dr. Crumpton
Hold on. Dominus, I need you repeat that number so they hear you.
Pastor J
There's how many men women mentioned 333. Some scholars try to start with say 137 specific. Then they try to upgrade it to 188. This shit how my mind works so mathematical in that. And then the text begins to expand to at least 333 women by specific name. We know Deborah, who encouraged Barack. We do know that he would not have accomplished the battle without encouragement. I would not be anywhere on this stage or anywhere without the encouragement of my mother, my aunt, my sister, my beautiful wife. I would not be here without the encouragement of a Dr. Val. I am the sum total of a mother. Serita, come on. First lady Serita Jakes. I love women. Y' all are just beautiful in general. My wife knows me, I mean from head to toe, from your toes to your fingertips and everything else. But we over sensualize who you are and we don't talk about the beauty of your brain.
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah.
Pastor J
This woman was so intelligent that she has divine timing. And we're going to get into discernment because she sets aside a specific year's wage for the moment that the master was going to come by.
Pastor Dobbins
Most opportunities that we is because we
Pastor J
don't have the money to fully invest in the project, the investment, the cryptocurrency, the stock, the annuity, the hedge fund and so much more.
Pastor Dobbins
But she had a specific timing with
Pastor J
the rhythm of her money. In fact, this is a rebuke to
Pastor Dobbins
men because the text says if you
Pastor J
look in the Old Testament in the
Pastor Dobbins
Pentateuch, that when a man married a woman, he should be able to make
Pastor J
sure that she had at least one
Pastor Dobbins
year off to take one year to cheer up your wife. That's not just in sex, that's making sure she travels with gold, with pearls, with monies, with jewels and everything else. And you're trying to give somebody to put his name on your name, but his name doesn't mean anything because his.
Pastor J
I'm sorry, I'm loaded tonight.
Pastor Dobbins
Because his name, his Credit score is down. His name, it doesn't have a good track record with other women. His name does not have value. His name is not recognized in the bank. His name doesn't own property. His name does not even really have a vision and a strategy. And because you have overlooked your name for the name of somebody who you think will take you out of your misery, let me encourage my sisters to be beautiful. You, you are super fragile. Catalyst, expialodocious. You are gifted. You are anointed. You've got purpose, you've got destiny. You are vivid in your creation. You are in touch with your emotions. We have to struggle and ask God for discernment. When you got automatic instinct and intuition. Use the gift that you've got and. And shake up the world. I'm trying to say one last little thing, because on the way here, my bride, she couldn't make it tonight. We were talking and she said, babe, there is a stat, particularly black woman doesn't mean that every other every women are holding up the church in general. But there was a specific stat on hundreds of thousands of maybe 600,000 black women that have been laid off. And they actually are the forerunners of actually supporting and actually pioneering and leading the funds within the churches are. Where in the world would we be without strong women? These women, trembling and afraid, stayed at the cross. These women in spite of. First of all, can we talk about the men? Can we talk about the fact that the text says that the men were locked up behind closed doors for fear of the Jews while strong women like Amazon women, strong women like black women, strong women like Hispanic women, strong women like Caucasian women, strong women like Asian women, strong women like Australian and European women. Strong women were standing up front. Jewish women were strong in their Hebrew culture to say, come hell or high water, we will stay until the Master shows up. When you get to Matthew Chapter number 28, we often find that the angel. I'm going to read in just a moment. The angel comes down. There's an earthquake, there's a shaking. Everybody's scared. The angel speaks to the women first and say, he's not here. But we wouldn't believe the credibility of a woman because we have typecast you for the women who broken our hearts, not knowing that our hearts had to be broken because we put too much stock in people that didn't value us. It's strong women who have to rebuild the integrity of Jesus ministry.
Pastor H
You know, it feels good to just sit here and listen to him talk. That a blessing. Listen, you better give it up, man.
Pastor Dobbins
I'm not saying that I am without fault. I had to learn some things to get my anger in check, to get my emotions in check, to get my temper in check. I will never forget at a young age being in counseling. And I remember Dr. Nicholas Eno, he said, where does this anger come from? And I was like, I don't know. What do you mean, I don't know? I'm just thinking I'm into it with a prior relationship. He said, you know where it comes from. He said, abuse is a learned behavior. He said, you learned it from the things that you saw growing up. So I came to challenge every man who has ever faced a woman in verbal abuse, in physical abuse, in emotional abuse, in financial abuse. I came to challenge you to be a real. A real man uplifts a woman. A real man deals with the little boy on the inside of him. And a real man is able to dump out his emotions on weights and running and everything else and is able to value a vivacious woman to see the beauty of her mind.
Pastor E
I don't.
Pastor Dobbins
I'm sorry.
Pastor E
No, you're good.
Pastor Dobbins
You're good because we're talking about women. But I need you to understand that there's some men in this room, there's some men online, and you're wondering why you keep going from one failed relationship to the other. Because you've not really taken responsibility for being the head of yourself.
Dr. Crumpton
Self.
Pastor Dobbins
Oh, God, that's good. Be the head of yourself first. Last thing you know, preach is a long way. That's why I was quiet.
Pastor J
I did. They.
Pastor Dobbins
They. I was quiet.
Pastor J
I was like, I don't know how
Pastor Dobbins
I'm going to control this because I have so much passion for standing up for you. We must be your protectors, your providers. We must be your priests. You must be our sisters. And let me. Let me dispel this. Y' all gotta pull me back.
Pastor H
Let.
Pastor Dobbins
Let me dispel this belief. Because we. We read this text and we dominate the text and say, wives, submit yourself to your husband. And for some reason, it got across, and you think you got to submit to every man. The text is not telling you to submit to every man. The text is. Is telling you to submit to the man who's taking care of you for headship and protection. But not every Tom, Dick, and Harry that is able to tell you that you
Pastor E
can. Can I add something to what you're saying?
Pastor Dobbins
Oh, God, come on.
Pastor E
No. Because you can take this and keep preaching. Because the text, we start in the middle, but if you back up one verse, it says, submit yourself one to another to another. So he starts with equal before he starts with authority. I just want to give you.
Pastor Dobbins
And I run and in the garden. The one thing that I love about. There's many things I love about Adam, but the one thing I love about Adam is when he awakes from his sleep. Oh, God. That's a whole nother Jesus. Down, preacher, down. Because sometimes as men, we need to be quiet and we need to go to sleep. Sometimes as men, we talk about how women talk too much. No, no. Sometimes men need to go to sleep. Men need to be quiet. But Adam awakes from sleep, and he says, whoa, man. This is a man with the womb. In other words, I am nobody without a woman because she has the ability to birth and to produce the things that I could only even dream about.
Pastor J
Okay, I'm done. Now.
Pastor E
How am I supposed to follow that? You were talking Dobbins, and I thought about something.
Dr. Crumpton
I've read this scripture for years, and I never seen it this way until you were talking and you said, you're enjoying this. Now, the revelation I got was, when Jesus dies, the men run. They run based off fear. And I've always saw it as they were fearful. I thought, until you said something, Dr. Crumpton, maybe God created them to be fearful, to run behind the door to protect the woman for where he was getting ready to take her.
Pastor E
Maybe God was saying, I can't put
Dr. Crumpton
you around a toxic man
Pastor E
because of
Dr. Crumpton
what I'm getting ready to show you.
Pastor E
Because I'm getting ready to show you an empty tomb.
Dr. Crumpton
And a toxic man can't handle an empty tomb.
Pastor E
So I want him to be fearful and go hide while I show you
Dr. Crumpton
something he's never seen before.
Pastor E
So maybe you're trying to run to be connected to a man. And God is saying, it's not time
Dr. Crumpton
yet because he's still behind the door, toxic, living in fear.
Pastor H
Oh, my.
Pastor E
And he hasn't detox yet. Because what I'm getting ready to show you, a woman can do it. Afraid.
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah, okay. Okay.
Pastor K
I'm just.
Pastor Dobbins
Is. Is Lady Phaedra here? I. I see why she over there somewhere. I see why you married.
Pastor E
She over there somewhere.
Pastor Dobbins
I see why you married him.
Pastor J
I.
Pastor Dobbins
You know, she. She over there in the corner saying, my man, my man, my man. Y' all know what she put.
Pastor E
Put that but here. But hear me when he's saying. And I'm coming to your question, that is so true. Because now I'm sitting there thinking, like, wait A minute. God was protecting her. He was protecting the women because he was saying, I'm getting ready because of your hunger. I don't want him to quench your hunger because you are a. You are hungry enough to go to the tomb. He's hungry enough to go hide. And if you think you got to follow him, you might follow him to go hide. So you'll be looking for open door that's closed, but it's an open tomb that you should be standing in front of.
Pastor Dobbins
Can. Can I tag team with you on this? Here is the problem, sisters. Can I say this? This is why we had to put Dr. Val right in the middle because she's got this effervescent glow. She's got the color. You know, we wearing these basics. She's got the color because women actually add the beauty of it all. Here's, here's, here's what's in the text. There are people who run away from
Pastor J
trouble, and there are people who run to trouble.
Pastor E
Oh, I was going there. Oh, let me tell you, here's how I was going there. Because one thing we, we don't understand is as a woman understands, you don't have to be center stage to be significant.
Dr. Crumpton
Okay, okay, okay.
Pastor H
And all the women say, amen.
Pastor E
See you, cuz. The text says they're there, but they're from a far off. They don't mention their name, but they still know they're important. So they don't run away from the calling, understanding I'm significant, even if my name never gets called because I'm more sold out to the assignment than I am to my own selfish need to be pleasure to be filled. So why in the world am I going to look over the grace that God has given me?
Dr. Crumpton
Okay,
Pastor E
see, I'm gonna say something. Coming to your question, we gotta realize sometimes consistency matters more than your visibility.
Pastor H
Absolutely.
Pastor E
If you're consistent, you don't have to be visible. In other words, you understand? My wife have told me a million times, she said, no, no, no, no. I could just sit in the back. I just sit in the back. I'd be like, no, I'll go up front. She said, no, no, no, no, no. She said I could do more power sitting in the back. I didn't understand that, but I understand it better now. And now, like, wait a minute. So you don't see center stage as significant? She's like, nah. Most women have what men. Y' all know I love y'. All. I'm a man.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm a man.
Pastor E
But y' all have what we don't have. I just can't figure it out. That thing called intuition, that whole discernment thing. I gotta pray with sackcloth and ashes. And she'd be like, something wrong with the boys.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm like, what?
Pastor E
Ain't nothing wrong with the boy yet, y'.
Pastor H
All.
Pastor E
Hey, what's wrong with you, Mama? How you knew I'd be like, God, dog.
Dr. Crumpton
I ain't know that was wrong.
Pastor E
But y' all have something that we don't have that God has honed. And I'm telling you, don't think of yourself lesser because of somebody who don't understand the value of your gift.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm sorry, sir.
Listener or Participant L
I just want to say, to Pastor Crumpton's point, it says, with two or three witnesses, let every word be established. And it's three witnesses in the beginning of the text. So women that discredit themselves, don't discredit yourself, because you are a witness. Right? And that leads to my point that I want to ask, how important is it for the women of this day and time, the Marys and the double Marys and the salons, to go back and get the men that are in your life to bring them to the table, to bring them to the church?
Dr. Crumpton
Drop the mic.
Pastor E
Drop the mic.
Pastor H
That's good, son. Because when. When Jesus appears, appeared to Mary Magdalene, the first thing she did was go and get. She went and got Peter and John, and she told them, he's gone. We don't know. Somebody might have stole his body. We don't know what's going on. But she went back to him, to them, got them, and brought them to the tomb. They were somewhere far away, and she went and got them and brought them to the tomb. So it is important for women to go get whatever is astray and bring it in. It is our goal, it is our desire. It is what we're supposed to do as part of our assignment, to go out. And it's interesting because as you made the point about the women, the men weren't the ones that were dressing him at the tomb.
Pastor Dobbins
Nope.
Pastor H
That the lament didn't start. The practice of the ritual didn't start until the women came, which meant that the community trusted that the women could start this practice and people would begin to comfort, begin to come to peace. So it's something about a woman's intuition, a woman's ability that. That innate motherhood, even if you don't have children. Women have this innate ability to bring peace, to bring calmness. And I think that's why the, the devil tries to keep us. Yeah, crazy. Because he knows the power that we have to bring peace. We can bring peace. Tell somebody, I got the power to bring peace.
Pastor E
Say that. Say that.
Pastor H
Yeah, yeah, yeah. My words, my presence, the God in me can cause you to calm down because it's in me as a woman.
Dr. Crumpton
You know that scripture, the back that
Pastor E
they say that he may be one
Dr. Crumpton
with the conduct of. And the word literally means your behavior. It is first Peter, I think it's three and two.
Pastor E
He said that he may be one that way.
Dr. Crumpton
But I want to add just one thing to that.
Pastor E
And this is for the women.
Dr. Crumpton
One thing I love about it is the Bible says she go to get them. I'm a shout by myself right here. She's not concerned about their emotions.
Pastor H
No.
Dr. Crumpton
She don't even care if they believe them or not.
Pastor E
In other words, you may be trying to get somebody and you're looking for the results. Right. Then maybe your job is to only say, come, come. Well, I don't feel like coming. Just keep on coming. Just keep, just keep, just keep on coming. And sometimes we're looking for immediate results from the question that we're asking. And God is saying, ignore what they saying to you. You know what you saw. You saw an empty tomb. You keep telling them to come on and eventually, oh, they will come. And I don't know who that's for. Prophetically, eventually they will come. As a matter of fact, somebody put that atmosphere. They coming. They're coming. They come. Your child is coming. Your grandkids are coming, your husband is coming, your nephews are coming, your niece. They are coming to Christ because you have seen an empty tomb, which means you've been a witness. They are coming.
Pastor H
Let me correct something I said and then we'll take your question. I said that when she saw Jesus, he went and got him. No, she hadn't seen Jesus yet. She had just seen the empty tomb. And that's when she ran to get Peter and John. And they believed her. They believed her. And she hadn't even seen him yet.
Pastor Dobbins
These were women of faith.
Pastor H
They believed her. But when she went back and said she saw them saw him, that's when they didn't believe her. Think about that for a minute. They believed the tomb was empty, but they didn't believe that she had seen him.
Dr. Crumpton
Come on, somebody. Yes, anyway, go ahead then.
Pastor H
Hi.
Dr. Crumpton
Italiano.

so I have my girls program here so I'm just needing a little advice towards with dealing with the younger generation as well. I've been studying a lot about like the woman in the Bible but the thing I've noticed like a consistency in is that it's the young virgins or Esther they were they're all young majority of them. And you had stroke A cord. Dr. Dobbins, you was going in, you had stroke a cord when you were speaking. And so I keep hearing and sensing like there's something with the youth. The young girls, they have an anointing in them like they can pray, they can lay hands but they're being overlooked and so Crumpton, what would be your advice as a steward just over just even the youth because it starts there before they become the Magdalenes and the other woman that were mentioned in the Bible, if that makes sense.
Pastor J
Absolutely. I think I'll take that one. I want to tag team to something that brother Malachi the answer to. Dr. Val gave the answer to his question there. I want you to notice sisters watching online hundreds within the room. The women went to go get men that they could trust that were proven that were already safe.
Pastor Dobbins
Couple of things I got to make sure we wolf proof the room as
Pastor J
well as the Internet make sure that
Pastor Dobbins
the man you connect with you feel
Pastor J
come on y' all let me know if I'm wrong.
Pastor Dobbins
A woman has to feel at least three things. Safety, comfort and security.
Pastor J
If you do not feel safe, if you do not feel confident, if you don't feel the security, then you know
Pastor Dobbins
that that is a repellent. Be careful that you don't go get
Pastor J
men who you don't feel safe with, because I often see this first part of this nurturing.
Pastor Dobbins
The enemy would try to use your nurturing ability against you. And you will be caught up and trapped up in a bad relationship for a long time. Because within you is the number one thing that Dr. Ron Elmore calls some women in relationships is the changer.
Pastor J
You believe that you're going to tweak that thing.
Pastor Dobbins
You say, he's cute, but I'm going to tweak this. And it starts with an outfit, but it ends up being now you're trying to be his mother, his aunt, you're trying to be his father, you're trying to be everything else. Be careful that you don't play junior Holy Spirit.
Pastor J
I got to make sure that we
Pastor Dobbins
wolf proof the room because men will. Some men will manipulate and trick you, and then they will use you up and you will wonder why there were no results. What does that have to do with
Pastor J
young ladies with great potential?
Pastor Dobbins
Young boys have what we call testosterone. It is this ability for courage and strength. But with testosterone and immaturity at a young age, we often will dominate and try to control you. Make sure that the young boy in your life is not trying to dominate or control you. Abuse does not really start in the 20s and the 30s. It actually starts in teenagers.
Pastor J
I was both youth pastor here as
Pastor Dobbins
well as young adult pastor, and I do studies. I'm a child care counselor, so on and so forth. When we look at the studies, it actually starts 12, 13, 14, grabbing, holding, punching, telling you you're no good, telling you got a spot on your dress, pulling your hair. It actually starts with sexual acts and. And a lot of other things that I can't fully name here in church. So my advice to young girls is
Pastor J
to make sure that you are focused
Pastor Dobbins
on the vision that God has for
Pastor J
you and not the vision that the boy has for you.
Pastor Dobbins
Even if you don't have a father in your life, if it's an uncle, if it's a principal that you trust, if it's a vision that you talk with your mother about, make sure that you process your destiny, your purpose in safe spaces. Be very careful that you don't dump your heart out in spaces that you don't feel safety, comfort and security. I hope that helps within that aspect.
Pastor H
So. So let me add to that. Titus 2, verses 3 through 5 says the older or the mature Women should mentor the younger women, mentor them in how to live godly, how, how to have self control and how to take care of the family. So to your question, what we, as the older generation should be doing is training the younger to be the coming Esthers, the coming Ruth's. That's our position. One thing to note that somebody trained us. Some of us are so fortunate that we had someone to train us. And now it is our obligation and our assignment to train the younger. So you can reach out. I don't know if your young group goes here or you've brought them here, but please reach out, because we are here. We have our women's ministries. We have everything. Pastor Sarah we're here to help our young women be trained in the way that they should go.
Dr. Crumpton
Even in that girl, I think it's girl evolve.
Pastor H
Girl evolve?
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah, girl evolve. The circle is important. Who they surround themselves with, the circle is extremely important. And if I can say one thing, it is that who you hang around will influence you.
Pastor H
Absolutely.
Dr. Crumpton
It would definitely influence you. And that's in every capacity of your life. You hang around broke people.
Pastor E
Nine people.
Dr. Crumpton
You hang around broke. They're gonna be ten go after a while.
Pastor J
And just a quick note. We're starting this. Does that, does that make sense? Creature.
Pastor H
Okay, we have. We have one question, and this is what it says. How can we pursue or reconnect with a husband in a way that honors his role in leadership without coming across as though we're trying to take his place or authority in the home?
Dr. Crumpton
My God.
Pastor J
This is a question from online. Ashley, thank you for your courage there. I am not sure if this is a separation, if this is a. A potential divorce. I'm not sure if you all are still married. So I'm going to hit it from various angles. Number one, it is okay to articulate what you believe regarding the vision, the mission, the goals and the initiatives of the house. Yes, we place that upon the man to try to lead it and steer. But it does not mean that you don't have a vision, that you don't think, that you don't have goals and visions and aspirations.
Pastor Dobbins
How do we do it?
Pastor J
In a way that honors the leadership. You ask your husband to communicate with you and to lay it out. Now, I'll be honest with you. I've been married going on 24 years. Pastor Don is the goat over here going on 30, 50, 40, 60s years. You know what I'm saying?
Pastor Dobbins
Because he's older than me.
Pastor J
I'm just joking. But one of the things that my wife and I would do is, like, every Monday, we would sit down. At first, she didn't like it. You know, we got that financial meeting. But I had to incorporate both the financial meeting as well as the goal meeting to say, hey, baby, what do you think?
Pastor Dobbins
Now, if the man is not listening
Pastor J
to you, it is okay to get a third party. This is why everybody that is single within the room, we always recommend premarital
Pastor Dobbins
counseling, because this is your fireproof way to say if something goes wrong. This is our plan. The problem is, many didn't go through premarital counseling, so now you're having to deal with it. Imano want one on one.
Pastor J
And so you all are kind of going back and forth. You have to ask your husband in a time of peace and not when he's just come home from work, not
Pastor Dobbins
just when he's frustrated. There is a way.
Pastor J
We say you get more bees with honey.
Pastor Dobbins
It's a saying.
Pastor J
There is a way to articulate it.
Pastor Dobbins
You know, you.
Pastor J
You know how you got your husband. You know how you got him. There is a way to also use those smooth lips to also articulate your heart and your vision.
Pastor Dobbins
Give him time to process it, but establish specific goals and details so that
Pastor J
a plan is established.
Pastor Dobbins
Did I over.
Pastor E
Does that make sense? Pastor, you were good. I'll just add another layer to that.
Dr. Crumpton
Again, this is us answering in a generic format without getting details. I probably would ask, have a conversation with my husband, what is his definition of leadership? Because you may have two different definitions of what leadership is, and then you always lead to frustration if you don't establish in your home, what does that look like? So you know where what may work in one house may not work in the other home. And leadership evolves. What does that look like now? You know, what does it look like when you're 17 years married, when you're 20 years married? So we're 30 years in now. Okay. Leadership looks different now.
Pastor E
So always, you always want to have
Dr. Crumpton
that conversation, because leadership evolves.
Pastor E
It's not set in stone.
Dr. Crumpton
And one of the most frustrating things in the world is to give me what I used to need, because now
Pastor E
I need to understand what does that mean? So I would have a conversation with
Dr. Crumpton
him, set boundaries, talk about what leadership look like, and then from there, we start dissecting. And most people try to heal without first having surgery first.
Pastor J
Lord have mercy.
Dr. Crumpton
So. Yes, ma'.
Pastor E
Am.
Pastor H
I'm sorry, Ashley, that's a great question. Was he a leader before you married him? Because if he was a leader, before you married him, you should have understood who he was and you should have had this conversation prior to saying I do. That way you haven't put yourself in an awkward position. Now, if he became a leader after, he should have consulted you because, hey, he's taken on a leadership role. This is going to change the whole dynamic of the family. So it should have been a family discussion. All right. I mean, it's neither here nor there at that point. But there's just a couple questions. Did you notice before you guys got married or did this change during the marriage? And when did the leadership part of his life come into play? And then that's how you can determine. And one thing I want to add to that, too, is read Esther, because Esther tells us how she approached her husband very loyally, very humbly, and he was a leader of leaders. So depending on how the structure came into being in your. In your relationship, consider Esther, because she can give you some pointers either way.
Dr. Crumpton
Sidebar too sin why everyone that desires a further relationship as related to marriage, please stop thinking premarital counsel is a disease.
Pastor J
Come on.
Dr. Crumpton
There are flags that you can figure out early before you get into it. And leadership.
Pastor E
That was a great question.
Dr. Crumpton
Dr. Crumble was how was he a
Pastor E
leader before you got married? Because now you want to marry somebody because they.
Dr. Crumpton
Fine, fine. Gonna wear off when you frustrate it.
Pastor E
They ain't gonna wear off real fast. I know you fine, but I'm tired of dealing with you. Okay, y' all got me on this relationship piece. Now I can really talk about that because I'm. I'm tired of people after their marriage. Well, I didn't know what God didn't tell me. No, you should have thought I had these questions beforehand. Listen, you. I preached a message years ago.
Dr. Crumpton
I may do it again one day.
Pastor E
It's called show me your carfax
Dr. Crumpton
before
Pastor E
I buy this car. How many accidents have you been in? How many owners have you had? I need to know. Have there been. And they released.
Pastor Dobbins
Did you say how many owners of bodies? Owners. I.
Pastor E
How many owners I need. Know how much mileage on this thing. What do we. I need. I need to know. I need. Are you trying to turn the miles back?
Pastor K
No, no.
Pastor E
Show me your car facts. Is it certified?
Pastor J
I need.
Pastor E
Okay, I'm sorry. I preached that a long time ago.
Pastor Dobbins
How did we get here for married? He said, how do we get from the tuning? Well, one last little thing.
Pastor J
It does not mean that the man is automatically the strongest leader.
Dr. Crumpton
Absolutely.
Pastor J
I just want to articulate that sometimes the woman is stronger in finance, she's stronger in organization, she's stronger in leadership, and a real man will be able to submit to your strengths.
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah, I just want to say that's good.
Pastor E
I'm sorry.
Dr. Crumpton
Yes, ma', am, go ahead.
Pastor H
I want.
Podcast Host
I kind of. My question kind of goes in with what you said, Pastor Dobbins, and what you said earlier. You said women have this intuition, this knowing. And I think we could all agree if we think about Moses and his wife, what she did saved his life.
Pastor Dobbins
Wow.
Podcast Host
Right. So I think for me and a lot of my experiences is I can know that I have this knowing and this wisdom that I mean well. But it's. How do you. How do you, you know, continue to walk in that if you're met with pride in. In the. In the man.
Pastor Dobbins
Restate that again. How do you continue to walk in.
Pastor H
Yes.
Podcast Host
How can you continue to also walk in the authority and the wisdom and the knowing that God has gifted you with if you're being met with. With a man that is prideful and won't.
Pastor H
You know.
Dr. Crumpton
Can I just make this one statement? Just. And I'm going to leave it as this. Your gift doesn't diminish because of my ignorance.
Pastor H
And can I add to that?
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah, Y.
Pastor H
And then you keep going. Just cuz we have this innate ability doesn't make us prophetess,
Pastor E
my God.
Pastor H
But I just had to throw that in because women have a tendency to take this. This innate ability that we have this and call it a. Call themselves prophets, prophetess. And that's not really always the truth. And I want you to know, because we are women, we have something and it's not always call prophecy. So I just needed to throw that in and.
Dr. Crumpton
And I'll. And I'll add to kind of what Dr. Crum just mentioned. You. You have a gift. You have that thing. And it may be met with pride, but there could be a number of things that's happening. You're mentioning whatever that thing is.
Pastor E
Do you have to see the results of it?
Dr. Crumpton
Or was your assignment only telling what God said so many times?
Pastor E
We want to be the giver and
Dr. Crumpton
the receiver reciprocal and reciprocate what it is.
Pastor E
No, I want to see what I said. No.
Dr. Crumpton
Your job was only to give it one man planet. One man waters. But only God gives the increase.
Pastor E
So sometimes your gift stirs up his pride.
Dr. Crumpton
Sometimes his pride can help you submit to your gift.
Pastor E
Sometimes God is saying, hey listen, don't
Dr. Crumpton
get mad because you had a job to tell it because as deliverer, I have never.
Pastor E
My mailman has never cussed me out because he has one job. Deliver. Now, what's in that envelope, that's between you and who it come from. And I say that jokingly, but I think every now and then, sometimes we want to see it. I want to say it to you, and I want to see you change. And I think we have to be careful with that. That does not give a man excuse to be ignorant, prideful, whatever. But what I am saying is, even as a man, sometimes we need to learn. Moses's sign is great, but God tells
Dr. Crumpton
Abraham, listen to Sarah.
Pastor E
She knows what she's talking about. So even though Sarah gave him information,
Dr. Crumpton
sometimes a man need to hear from
Pastor E
God before he change.
Pastor H
And sometimes you may know, but wisdom says, stay silent.
Dr. Crumpton
That's good.
Pastor H
Be quiet.
Pastor E
That's good.
Pastor H
Because the time will present itself for you to say, and it depends on the level of relationship you have with this person as well as. As how you can talk to them. So Wisdom says, be quiet. And when the time presents itself, he will actually tell you how to say it. That goes back to Esther.
Pastor E
He will.
Pastor H
Esther. And she needed to tell them because they were rushing her. Go tell. Go tell the king. They're about to annihilate our people. She said, okay, wait, wait, wait. Let's calm this down. Let's go and fast and pray, right? And then let's. What was it, three days? Let's fast, let's pray, and then when I go in, I'll go in. And if I go, if I don't come out, then, you know, so be it. I did what I was supposed to do in the order that it should have been done. So sometimes wisdom is being silent, even
Dr. Crumpton
though, you know, can I make this one statement? And I'm. That's good. Ladies, men, ladies, men. Remember this.
Pastor E
Timing is just as important as content.
Pastor H
Yeah,
Pastor E
you can have great content stated
Dr. Crumpton
at the wrong time, right?
Pastor E
So now you got to seek God for both. God, don't just give me content. Give me timing, too, because that is just as important.
Pastor J
Wow. I think you got everything you needed. Just what comes to mind, the word pride, P R I D E, is really. Sometimes it's pain rooted in dominant emotions. D R I D E. That's what came to my mind. Pride is pain rooted in dominant emotions. Sometimes the person that you recognize pride with may actually be prideful, but it may also be a reflection of a temptation for you to be prideful. Don't take the bait. You've delivered the package Step back, let it flow. And the other person, sometimes, particularly man, has to come to a spiritual maturity in order to reconcile his own emotions so that we or he can present it back to you in a palatable aspect. Because what I hear is the lack of communication. Am I right? Okay, you shake your head, yeah, I'm
Podcast Host
willing to have the hard conversation.
Pastor J
Yeah, you're willing to have the hard conversation. But the other person is saying, I don't want to communicate that yet because it's painful pain rooted in dominant emotions. So once they process their pain with God, there'll be a better flow of communication. You can't force that.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm concerned about a statement you just made. You said, you're the one that's willing to have a hard conversation. The word hard is subjective.
Pastor H
A hard word.
Dr. Crumpton
A hard word. You really. So it's hard to you. Most men don't retreat because they have lack of words. Most men retreat because they don't know if the reward of the conversation is worth the conversation. Because if we gonna fight every time. Hard conversation, we're not gonna have a conversation. But if we can figure out how to have the conversation.
Pastor E
If you can.
Dr. Crumpton
My nephew, I'm gonna give you illustrations. Totally off. My nephew was convinced that he doesn't like onions.
Pastor E
I hate onions. I hate onions. My wife said, watch this. I hate onions. She chopped them onions up. Put him in that stew beef we had that day. Auntie, this so good.
Pastor Dobbins
It's so good.
Pastor E
She said, boy, you just ate onions. No, I didn't. No, I didn't. I said, boy, yes, you did. Pull him out. He said, oh, you'll be surprised. What did you chop up? And you cook it the right way?
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah, it's palatable.
Pastor H
That was good.
Dr. Crumpton
It's palatable.
Pastor Dobbins
Yeah.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm sorry.
Pastor H
She said, that's good.
Pastor E
Yes, ma'.
Pastor J
Am. Thank you. Can you cook?
Pastor H
Hello, everyone.
Listener or Participant I
This is such a blessing. I have a scripture that God has been blessing me with since Friday, March 13th. My son sent it to me early that morning and it's blessed me more than I can share here. I went to. To a tea this past Saturday. Christian women, a little place in Denton called the Beatitudes. And I sat down and when in fact I was going to sit somewhere else and I almost shifted all the way around. I sat down and when I looked up, that scripture was on the wall. And at the end of the T, I was talking to the store owner and she said. I said, that really blessed me. And she said, oh, that's the latest thing We've gotten. It's only been up there a couple of days. And I believe that scripture is really relevant to this conversation. It's Isaiah 60:22. It says, when the time is right, I, the Lord will fix it.
Pastor H
That's cool.
Dr. Crumpton
Selah, I want to tell you how that scripture is so relevant is that the women that showed up at the tomb, they didn't fix it. They just showed up. Sometimes your presence is the present.
Pastor H
Oh. Because they showed up to anoint him, but they didn't get the opportunity to. Cause he wasn't there.
Pastor J
Come on. Come on.
Dr. Crumpton
Here.
Pastor H
That's why Mary of Bethany anointed him before he died.
Pastor E
That's the text. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Pastor H
So. So. So sometimes when you show up to do something, but it doesn't happen the way you show up to do it, even though it's worship. It's worship. God interrupts the way you want to do it, and he shows up anyway because he has this plan that's so good. Oh, my goodness. You can't see the plan. He knows the plan because he's about to fix it. Oh, goodness. He's about to fix it for somebody in this room. I. I don't know who it is. But you're showing up to worship the way you want to show up. But he's going to show up and fix whatever it is he's about to fix for you. Oh, my goodness. Because the anointing had already happened. Mary had already anointed him, so they didn't have to come do it again. It was already done. Oh, my goodness. I'm sorry. Go ahead.
Pastor E
No, you don't have to be sorry. Because they were getting ready to do what was already done.
Pastor H
What was already done?
Pastor Dobbins
The.
Pastor J
The word that's been in my spirit all week long is not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. If we are led by the spirit of God, everything else takes care of itself.
Dr. Crumpton
I had a moment, Dr. Crumpton, like a worship moment. Because so many times we're trying to fix it. And God says, I'm already taking care of it. I just need you to show up.
Pastor E
So many times we're trying to fix our family, and God says, I just
Dr. Crumpton
want you to be in the house with them. I just wanted you to be in the room with them. I didn't want you to say anything.
Pastor E
Watch this. Because your presence, you being in the room give God access. And he said I needed a vessel for them to see the Witness to come in. And so while you're trying to be a fix it. God said, you being there is fixing it.
Pastor H
Yeah.
Pastor E
While they're crying, you being there is fixing it. Them not understanding you being there is fixing it. But we're so humanly oriented that we got to touch it. We got to do this. And God said, no, no, no, no, no.
Dr. Crumpton
Sometimes it's good to just sit in the room. Don't say nothing, just sit there. Because the anointing is already taken care of.
Pastor E
It's already been done.
Pastor J
I think. Oh, go ahead.
Pastor H
No, go ahead.
Pastor J
I think this is why I'll read a brief version if our TV team can put it up. I just want to read these few scriptures because everything we're saying ties into what I studied. Matthew, chapter number 28. Watch the first few verses. This is the NLT version. It says, early on Sunday morning as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb, probably to anoint.
Pastor Dobbins
Suddenly there was a great earthquake.
Pastor J
For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it. His face shone like lightning and his clothing was as white as snow. Verse 4 says, the guards shook with
Pastor Dobbins
fear when they saw him and they fell into a dead faint. Then verse five says, then the angel spoke to the women.
Pastor J
Don't be afraid, he said. I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.
Pastor Dobbins
He isn't here. He is risen from the dead, just as he said it would happen.
Pastor J
Come see where his body was lying.
Pastor Dobbins
And now go quickly and tell his. Go tell the men, go tell your women. Now go tell the men, his disciples, that he has risen from the dead and he has gone ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I told you. The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened, but also filled with great joy. And they rushed to give the disciples the angels message, last couple of verses. And as they went, Jesus met and greeted them.
Pastor J
Wait a minute. They went to the tomb looking for Jesus.
Pastor Dobbins
There's an earthquake. The angel shows up. The angel sitting on top of the tomb and. And then Jesus intersects it. Jesus met and greeted the women first.
Pastor H
Yes, he did.
Pastor Dobbins
And they ran to him and grasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said, don't be afraid. Go tell my brothers the men to leave for Galilee and they will see me there. Here is the issue. The men did not still believe because
Pastor J
the women had an encounter. All of my sisters who are listening,
Pastor Dobbins
whether whatever issues you're dealing with, whether it is your brother, your cousin, your Mate, people on your job, your colleague, your customers, the clients, marketing, advertising, whatever it is, people would not always believe your encounter.
Pastor J
But once you encounter Jesus, oh God, Lord have mercy.
Pastor Dobbins
The question is, have you encountered him? When you encounter Jesus? Jesus, the rest is a wrap. Capiche? Kapoom, it's over. You've got to know what you carry. You've got to know what you've encountered. God showed up for a reason. He allowed an earthquake to come. He allowed an angel to come. You don't need another confirmation. I don't care who's telling you that God didn't give you the vision. He didn't give you the purpose that you're wrong. I don't care what spouse is trying to dominate you. You are a woman of value. You are a woman of self worth. You are a woman of exodus. You have an encounter with the Holy Ghost. Once you've got an encounter with God, that's it. That settles it and the rest is history.
Dr. Crumpton
Can I say this? Go ahead, Doc. Come on.
Pastor H
The final words I really want to say around this is to the significance of women. When the women gathered at the tomb, Mark's gospel says that the healing began because it was around the tomb where they were getting ready to prepare the body and sing songs of lamentation. That was when the community started healing. So the power of women to heal when they come together, it's amazing how we nitpick each other and fight each other because we don't realize the power we have. Together we can change a nation. Together we can turn this world upside down.
Pastor K
Together.
Pastor H
And the enemy don't want us to be together. But if we would come together, red, yellow, black and white, age difference, age equality, whatever the case may be, if the women would come together, the nation would heal.
Pastor E
Listen, listen. Here's what I want you to do. Stay right there. Could you put verse two back on there with that? Pastor do, could you put verse two back on there? When the women come together, I just want to read the first word suddenly. I don't know who need to hear that, but God says when the women come together, there's one word that's going to happen suddenly. And if I can get about two or three women that will join in this place, God's about to send a. Suddenly there was. Suddenly there was a healing. Suddenly there was a breakthrough. Suddenly there was a coming out. Suddenly God's about to change things.
Pastor K
He said.
Pastor E
Doc Crump, you said it. When the women come together, and if I can be sneaky, I want to gather some Men in there too. If there's a suddenly that you need
Pastor K
God to do in your life, I
Pastor E
want to talk to anybody who has
Pastor K
been dealing with some issues, some circumstances. You've been ticked off and now you're trying to make your way to the tomb. Can I please get about 100 women to run to this altar that's willing to labor for the nation? And we are declaring. There's a suddenly. There's a suddenly. There's a suddenly getting ready to take place. We, my kids are coming home. My spouse is coming home. Things are beginning to work out. There is a suddenly that's going to take place. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They came expecting. The text says that they came expecting. They came expecting. They came believing.
Pastor E
And I don't know what you've been believing God for. I don't know what you've been worrying and worrying and worrying and worrying. I kind of said, well, I got want to say you've been worrying and worrying and God is saying you've been worried about the wrong thing. Oh, you've been worried about the wrong thing. But the Bible say when the women came, verse two said there was a sentiment. Everyone standing there was a suddenly. I don't know what you believe in God to do in your life. Maybe you gotta wait for him to do it before you decide to dance, before you decide to shout. But we bombarded this altar with women who believe suddenly. God's getting ready to do it. As a matter of fact, I believe by the time I get home, I'm gonna get a phone call. I believe by the time the mail come tomorrow, things are going to change. I believe by this time next week, I believe by this time next month there's going to be a suddenly. The text says it's going.
Pastor K
Here's the text. The text says suddenly, suddenly, suddenly, suddenly, suddenly.
Pastor E
Dobbins, I almost started shouting because you said suddenly. A great earthquake.
Pastor K
The only way there is an earthquake is when two tectonic plates shift. In other words, there's a shift that's getting ready to take place. And I don't know who this is for today, but God is saying if you open your mouth and praise me, there's gonna be a shift. If you start declaring there's gonna be a shift, shift in my finances, shift in my deliverance. Suddenly, suddenly, suddenly online. Suddenly, suddenly, suddenly, there was a shift taking place. Suddenly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Pastor E
I am believing God that something was said during this walk it out Wednesday
Dr. Crumpton
that has arrested you faith. I am praying for every discouraged woman, every woman that's dealing with issues that you can't even share with people
Pastor E
today
Dr. Crumpton
was meant to be another validation of your significance for your role in ministry. That you heard it from a woman and you heard it from men. That it's in the Bible.
Pastor E
And for anybody that have not told you, you matter. You matter. And for every bad seed that has been spoken over you, I am declaring crop failure. I'm going to say it again. Every bad seed that has been spoken
Dr. Crumpton
over your life, I am declaring crop failure.
Pastor E
You that today will start the tillering
Dr. Crumpton
of the ground for new seed that's
Pastor E
going to be planted in your life. That God will stir up the gift that he placed in every one of you. That he gets rid of your depression. He gets rid of your anxiety. You are more than enough. And for somebody that's watching online, you will live and not die. I come against the spirit of suicide. I come against the spirit of depression. You will live and not die, saith the Word of the Lord. So here's what I want you to do before I give you these few announcements and we get ready to get out of here. I want to be able to make sure that this is a kairos moment that we don't miss the opportunity to give. I want us to miss, not miss the opportunity to understand that it's not just giving up. The word is the planting of the seeds in the ground as well. So if you need of a tithing or offering envelope, raise your hand. Our PMTS we about to serve you please. If you need of a timing offering envelope, please raise your hand. If you're giving via text it is on the screen. You can scan the QR code you can text to give. Don't miss the opportunity. You've heard me say it once and I'll say it over and over again. There is nothing more expensive. Been a missed opportunity.

Pastor E
We are not like Mary today. I'm not asking you to give a salary, a year's worth of salary. I am asking you to watch this to return the tithe. It all belongs to God anyway. You are returning a tenth back to him. You're returning a tenth so he can bless the 90 and those who may not be tithing. It is what I like to call spontaneous or systematic giving. It is the understanding of the principle as it relates to giving. Some of us or some of you may declare, I need a miracle. Well, the more you operate in principles, the less you'll need miracles. Say that again. The more you operate, the more you operate in the principles, the less you'll need miracles. So there's a principle as it relates to giving. Give and it shall be given unto you. Good measure, press down, shaken together, run over. Shall men give unto your bosom. That's what I'm believing in this season of my life. If you're ready to give, somebody shout, I'm ready. So you know we're gonna do that again because that was like a golf clap. If you're ready to give somebody a shout, I'm ready. Okay, let me rephrase it. Let me put this way. If you're ready to be blessed, somebody shout, I'm ready. Oh, see, that changes.
Dr. Crumpton
Then
Pastor E
somebody type in the comment, I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. Father, we thank you for the seed that we're sowing. We thank you that the seed will never leave our life though it leaves our hand.
Dr. Crumpton
God, we planted in good ground and
Pastor E
I am declaring it's going to return some 30, some 60, some 100 fold manifestation within the next 24 hours it's going to start manifesting.
Dr. Crumpton
I am believing and declaring that there
Pastor E
shall be increase in my house. There should be increase in my finances, increase in my everyday walk. I am declaring it and believing the seed that I sow will produce a harvest. In Jesus name we pray.
Pastor Dobbins
Amen.
Pastor E
Amen. Amen.
Pastor Dobbins
Amen.
Pastor E

Dr. Crumpton
Raise your hand.
Pastor E
I see your hand. I say, I see your hand.
Dr. Crumpton
I see your hand. Yeah.
Pastor E
This is so great. I see your hand. I'm so happy. I see your hand. Yes. I see your hand. You can put your hands down. Here's what I want to do. Since there are hands up, we're going to give a corporate declaration. So please repeat after me. Father, I believe you sent your son to die on the cross for my sins. Father, I believe on the third day, Jesus got up from the grave with all power in his hands. Father, I believe that same power that got Jesus up from the grave now lives in me. It is with the declaration of your mouth that you are saved. I saw your hand. I appreciate the love that is given to the brother that was back there with his hands raised. And I am believing that this will be the start of the best days of your life. And I'll say this to you, if you don't have a home, if you need a home, please come join us. Come over here. You're online and you want to join? Become our E Church member. Please scan the QR code. You are more than welcome to join us. There is no place like the Potter's house, and I absolutely love it.
