Before we dive into this great discussion on recognizing God and recognizing the glory of God, the power of God. Because I think there's so many things that we want to recognize because many of us are spiritually hungry. Where the spiritually hungry people at the Glory Chase has come to Bible study The glory chase is log on in this text. Do me a favor, TV team, if we could go to Isaiah chapter number six. I want to read the text, make sure we put it in context. We're reading the new King James version because I think we're getting ready to run into this prophet Isaiah, who's trying to recognize God. The 32nd version. Y' all know how my brain sometimes works. Isaiah has 66 chapters. This is the sixth chapter within the book. The first 39 books of Isaiah is really like the Old Testament. The next 27 is really like the New Testament, because Isaiah's assignment as a prophet is to speak to the backslidden state of Judah and Jerusalem. So herein is this cataclysmic move and this convergence in this text. But we're getting ready to introduce this character named Uzziah. Some preachers would say Uzziah. It's typically Uzziah, but U, Z, Z, I, A H. He is the king at the time. He's a very successful king. And this king has been so successful that all of a sudden he stepped over into pride and started burning incense on the altar as if he was a priest. But he was a king. And sometimes we understand that your flesh will put you in positions that your call did not qualify you to be in.

All right.

So herein lies the mission in this text. King King Uzziah has been struck with leprosy, and he's really about to die because of the sin. You can double check this with Second Chronicles, chapter number 26. The Word of God reads as thus. I'll read these eight verses and then we'll tag team. In the year that King Uzziah died in the same year. This is the prophet Isaiah. I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up. I'm trying not to bother this fasted. I'm just trying to read it. Something had to die in order for him to see something. High and lifted up and the train up. I'm supposed to breathe. And the train of his robe filled the temple. Verse 2. Above it stood Seraphim. These are angels. Each one had six wings. With two covered his face. With two covered his feet. And with two he did fly. In other words, you don't fly with your eyes and your feet. You fly trusting God. And verse three. And one cried to another and said one. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory. Am. I'm just trying to read the. You know, because after I read, you know, they going to Preach, you know, so I'm just trying to play my part.

We're going to preach by ourselves. You're not going to be engaged in the preaching.

[Dr. Val]

Okay, we've got it.

So verse four says, and the post of the door. How heavy were these posts? And the post of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out. And the house was filled with smoke. Lord have mercy. No fog machine. The real glory. So I said, woe is me, for I am undone. This is what Isaiah says. Because I am a man of unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. It was my environment. For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Last three verses. Then one of the seraphims flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken from the tongues from the altar. Oh, God.

I'm not gonna.

It has to come from the altar.

Read on.

I got two verses. Y' all read. That's an old storefront country church in me. Last two verses. Verse number seven. And he touched my mouth with it and said, behold, this has touched my lips. Your iniquity is taken away, your sin dispersed, your sin is purged. Last verse. Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said, here am I. Send me. I need one of these preachers to my left and my right to help me out. Because I think in this text, the summary that PT is pushing and ushering us to is to recognize the glory and the power of God. But sometimes there is something obstructing our view. I think his supposition or his synopsis is that King Uzziah was his view that had to be taken away for him to see the glory or for him to recognize God. Dr. Val.

What's this text saying?

[Dr. Val]

If we can have just a little Sunday School. Isaiah 6:1 says, the vision concerning. I'm sorry, when King Isaiah died. In order to understand just verse 6, chapter 6, verse 1. We got to go back to Isaiah 1 and 1. Isaiah 1 and 1 says, the vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amos, saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Dathom, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Somebody say, mile marker.

Mile marker.

[Dr. Val]

So what happens in the first verse of Isaiah 1 is Isaiah is introducing himself as the writer of the book. And as he introduces himself of the writer of this book, he also names the four kings. In the first 39 chapters of the book, as Pastor was saying, he names the four Kings. And he names those four kings because they are mile markers of the timeline of the happenings of the first 39 teachers.

Auntie.

[Dr. Val]

Okay, so he names those. So when we get to Isaiah 6 and 1, when we see that Isaiah has died, what Isaiah is doing is telling us when this happened. So this is a mile marker. This is an event that has happened. This is just at the base level of the conversation of the scripture. This is a mile marker. When he says this is what. This is what happened when Isaiah died. Okay, Just bottom line, base. Remember us talking some weeks ago about acts and about you knowing the time when you received or were filled with the Holy Ghost, Then you can mile mark it. You have a timeline. You have an event that happened that makes you remember your day that you were filled with the Holy Ghost, Right? So this is that time when Isaiah. Isaiah marks that time. It was when Uzziah died, when I was called to ministry to the public ministry. This is when he says it was when Isaiah died when Jesus or when the Lord called me to public ministry. It happened because Uzziah tried to be a priest. Try. And he went into the temple.

He went into the temple to burn incense. And it wasn't his job. Be careful.

To do something that you haven't been called to do.

[Pastor Don]

Please be careful. Because it's no joke to be sitting here, to be doing what we're doing unless we knew we've been called. Be careful. And it's called strange fire. Is that what the Bible. Strange fire. So here what we see in six and one is Isaiah mile marking the time when. When Uzziah died. Because this is when that major thing happened. He was called to public ministry. I'll stop right there right now.

I looked at. I said, oh, I'm going to bother that. Because mile markers are so important. So not only is Isaiah the 66 chapters in the book, a spinning mirror of the Bible and Isaiah 1, it is the introduction, the vision. In Genesis 1, it is the introduction and the vision. If you go six books over, not six chapters. If you go six books over, you go over to Joshua, chapter one, it says, now Moses is dead. Isaiah chapter six says, now Isaiah is dead. These are mile markers. So what God is saying something has to die before transition comes.

Oh, yeah.

[Pastor Don]

So so many times we're crying about things that we're losing when God is trying to promote us. So we don't hold on to last season. So sometimes we are so loyal to the last season, we hold on to Uzziah we hold on to Moses. And God is saying, I need you to move on because there's something I need you to see.

New thing.

[Pastor Don]

The new thing you need to see. And there's a glory that you haven't been introduced to yet. Until something dies.

[Dr. Val]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And that is the mile marker here. It's a mile marker. It's not a residence.

It's not a residence. You're not meant to stay there.

This is a perfect segue because to that point, Dex, beloved Dr. Val is saying, Pastor Don is saying there are times that we put periods where God meant for there to be a comma.

But in this text, it comes in a painful place. Talk to us about the things that have died either in you or around you or what has to die in us for us to see the master clearly.

For me, what had to die was my insecurity and fear.

[Dr. Val]

Yeah.

Before I was able to even be up on this stage, I fought. I talked about this a few weeks ago, how this was nothing that I wanted to do necessarily. So I had to submit myself at the end of the day and say that me being in the will of God was way more important than. Than my no.

[Pastor Cora]

Very good.

[Pit (Pastor in Training Dexter Jakes)]

And I'm gonna be honest.

[Pastor Don]

That was good.

[Pit (Pastor in Training Dexter Jakes)]

I think I like. Yes.

I think I like the shirts that we have.

You know why you like it? Because you see the Lord high and lift it up. It's a brand new hunger.

Hunger. Yeah. Yeah.

It's that hunger. It's that drive now, like, oh, there's another purpose. There's a better version of me. There's another version of me.

[Pit (Pastor in Training Dexter Jakes)]

Yeah.

And that's what in it. I love it because I love to see people happy, but I love to see you even happier now when you see people walking in their purpose.

I get to sleep better. I didn't even know I was carrying the weight. You don't realize the weight of a no when you're walking in it. Sometimes it's so comfortable, the no. You fall asleep with the no, and then you start being in the will of God and it changes your trajectory all the way. Just saying, yes, I'm going to submit myself to God. Whatever you want to do. I have my list of things that I want. But, God, what do you want? I want you. I want to feel your glory. And ultimately, that's what changed for me. I'm like, God, I'm hungry for your glory. I need to be fed by you. I need the chief shepherd to feed me in good pastures. That's exactly what my yes is bringing.

[Dr. Val]

And can I add to that pit? The fear comes from knowing how heavy the weight is.

[Worship Leader]

Oh, yeah.

[Pastor Cora]

That is exactly it.

[Dr. Val]

The fear. And you are afraid to take on that weight because with that weight is responsibility.

[Pastor Cora]

Yes.

[Dr. Val]

And when you know what it takes to be in these positions, if you're really, really, really calling. Chosen. You're afraid of it.

[Pastor Cora]

Yeah.

[Dr. Val]

You're afraid what comes out of it.

[Pastor Don]

Go ahead, talk. Talk. Talk about that. I just.

This is where I want to insert. I call her Pastor Cole, Pastor Cora, because. Interesting. I watched you, both of y'. All. We like. I'm. I'm like unc up here. I watched you guys grow. There was something that made you run to the call early.

[Pastor Cora]

Oh, yeah.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

In spite of the burning building. I used to watch you with the kid. You know, ministry school, you name it, and we would talk. What gave you that? Let me go. Regardless of what. The waiting.

[Pastor Cora]

Yeah. Since I was a child, that. And that's what I was telling Dexter when he preached. I said Sarah and Dexter were the ones to say no. And I was the one at kindergarten graduation saying, I'm going to be a preacher just like my daddy. And so. But I didn't start running until I'd gotten into it.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

Listen, all of us got some of that testing.

Come on, come on.

[Pastor Cora]

You know, sometimes you run before, but I jumped in willingly and then started running because I had experienced the weight. And church people, not all of you are difficult.

[Pastor Don]

Other church people, not you church, not

[Pastor Cora]

the Potter's house, the other church that I belong to, very difficult. And so the expectation, especially when you are us, the expectation is to be Bishop Jakes. And so trying to find your voice in the midst of it was very, very difficult. So I think my running wasn't a fear thing. My running was. I am not going to make you all define what God wants to do in me. And so I'm going to step up out of here and let God tell me who I'm gonna be. And let God tell me what my gifts are. And go to faisum and go to the ministry schools and get wise counsel and do all of the things. And I wasn't gonna let people define me. I think A lot of times it's not a fear of failure. I believe that we, as a church, as a body, and as a believer, we have a fear of success. We have a fear of what God is showing us. He shows us, he gives us the vision, he gives us the expectation. We're not afraid that it's going to fail. We're afraid it's going to succeed. That the expectation is going to be great. And to whom much is given, much is required. So I would just much rather psych myself out of believing that you would even call me to do something that big rather than to jump fully into it. And our dad raised us and I'm trying to raise my kids the same. You feel the fear and you do that thing anyway. You do it anyway. Fear is not going to be the ruler. It almost was an alarm, a signal for me to let me know I needed to keep going. So instead of fear being something that disabled me, it enabled me to continue to go. I felt like, oh, the devil is scared. That's not my fear. That's the devil's fear. So let's make him scared. And I wanted to move in it. I think we're often our obstruction to seeing the glory of God. Our no is often the obstruction to seeing the glory of God. Our fears, our doubts, our low self esteem is often the obstruction to seeing the glory of God. It isn't a lack of power given ever. It is always a lack of power used.

Oh, that's hot. That's hot. But Pastor Dunn, I want you to jump in because you made me think of Marianne Williamson's quote, if I'm correct, our deepest fear is not. Not that we are inadequate, but that we are deeply powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that should shine and give others hope. So the enemy is really afraid of not only us succeeding, but it's going to help somebody else. Pastor Don.

Even along the line of us fearing that we'll succeed, then we automatically disqualify ourselves to think that we're not ready or we don't deserve the version of that success. So we can talk our own self out of a blessing.

[Pastor Cora]

Yeah. We don't tell God what qualifies us for what he asked us to do.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

Right.

[Pastor Don]

Because immediately, yeah, I'm going to tell

you the qualifications for this job that

you hiring me for and that you created.

[Pastor Don]

Yeah, that he created us for the job. It's that thing we talked about the other day. It's that self awareness. And when he saw God, he says, I'm a man of unclean lips, he immediately turned to himself. Now self awareness is great, but some people will get stuck in. I'm unclean, don't choose me. I won't go. So now I get comfortable and no. So now my disability has now become my ability just to say no, I won't do it.

[Pastor Cora]

But you know what's crazy? We struggle to say no to everybody but God.

[Pastor Don]

Right?

[Pastor Cora]

Had you noticed? You will say no just to any. I mean, just we struggled. I don't want to tell them no. I don't want to hurt their feelings. I don't want them to feel bad. And so I'm saying yes to everybody. Just a people pleasing away. But where are the God pleasers at? Like, where are the people that struggle with telling God no? Like, you don't never hear nobody in a Q and A saying, I just really struggle telling God no. Like, it is just a hard thing for me. We never hear that. It is very easy to say no to God, but we have to get out of the habit of feeling like we are unqualified. And he's calling us by mistake. Like, you didn't mean to call me. That is like really ridiculous. The idea that God made a mistake in calling you. Like you was supposed to call the neighbor. You wasn't supposed to call me. It was a mistake. No, it wasn't a mistake.

[Pastor Don]

I got the wrong number.

[Pastor Cora]

Yeah, you wasn't supposed to call me. You supposed to call somebody else? No, he called you. But you just cannot seem to believe that he would do that based off of the mistakes that you have made to that point.

[Dr. Val]

Can I? Oh, go ahead. P I T. No, thank you.

I love it. I love it.

That was always what got me. The fact that God could use someone so broken, someone who had faults, who had their own issues, and use that person to be able to speak to his people. I could be a broken vessel and still be of use not realizing that a vessel that was put together, he doesn't get the glory out of that. You get the glory out of that when you present yourself looking perfect. But it is that broken thing, the cracks, that space where you feel like, no, I can't do this, I'm disqualified. A man of unclean lips, that is the exact reason why you are being utilized. So that when you are being used, they know that's God, that's not you.

[Pastor Cora]

And he can recognize it because he too had scars. He too was broken for us.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

Oh, did you just take us to the cross?

[Worship Leader]

Come on.

[Pastor Cora]

I'm just saying he can recognize your brokenness and want to use it because God used his. It's the only thing that he understands and can correlate with. If it is broken, it is usable. Because this was my body that was broken for you. So I don't understand how you would want to be used without being broken. I had to be broken in order to be effectively used.

[Dr. Val]

Absolutely.

[Pastor Cora]

And so I think that that is why he breaks us, because without being broken, we would not be recognizable. He doesn't recognize the brokenness if it isn't given by him. The crushing of the olive, it brings out the oil. And so we have to be open to being broken because he recognizes himself in our scar and.

Wait, no, no, go ahead, go ahead,

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

Dr. Val, I just want to say this right quick.

[Dr. Val]

And that takes us back to Isaiah and when he said, I'm a man of unclean lips, which says that the first five chapters, when he was having these visions. They were visions. They were just visions. He hadn't been called out yet. He was having. He was walking in the calling before he was called out.

Yes.

[Dr. Val]

So he knew something, but he didn't know everything.

[Pastor Cora]

Yeah.

[Dr. Val]

Listen at that. You know something, but you don't know everything. So when we get to 6 and 1, we see him now being called out to his public ministry, Right. And that's why he said, oh, wait a minute. I'm a man of unclean lips, mind you. You've been having all these visions, mind you. God's been talking to you all the time. Now you're a man of unclean lips, Right? Because now you realize that God is calling you into this particular ministry, Right? So this is where you're going now. And he wants to be clean. That's why he was able to say, lord, here am I, send me. Because he already knew. He put two and two together. This is why you calling me. I was having all these visions because this is who I am.

Yeah.

[Dr. Val]

I hope that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense. Faster.

Not only does it make sense, Dr. Bear, he said, I'm a man of unclean lips. Self awareness. And the first thing God does is give him a scar. He takes the coal and put it on his lips. He scars him before he commissions him to go.

We don't choose how we gonna be broken.

We don't choose how we're gonna be broken. Cause watch this. Thomas wasn't won to Jesus by his resurrection.

[Dr. Val]

Thomas was one when he saw the scars.

[Dr. Val]

Yeah.

So sometimes you Getting up is not going to win. People, they want to see your scars.

[Dr. Val]

That's right.

[Pastor Don]

I want to know where you've been, what you've been through. So when God scars his lips, he says, now I can send you. Because people can see it's not you that's speaking, it's the scars that's speaking.

[Dr. Val]

And we have a habit of hiding our scars because we don't want nobody to know what we've been through. Cuz we feel like people won't be able to handle what we've been through. They'll talk about us, they'll run us down, they don't have our back to support us when we've been through so much that sometimes it's hard to hold what you've been through. Sometimes it's hard because you want to share with somebody so they won't go through the same thing the same way.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

You know, I said I wasn't going to say nothing, but I can't keep it to myself. Pastor Cole, when you were talking about this alliteration of the cross and the scars, no wonder Isaiah 53 and 5, because. But he was wounded for my transgressions, he was bruised for my iniquities. No wonder it took a scarred person to recognize scars that were getting ready to come in the Spirit.

[Pastor Cora]

Absolutely. And then. And then the prettiness of it all when you think about Jesus is. And I think I may have told y' all this before, but that he did this for the idea of you. That. That he dies on the cross, his organs hanging out of his body, unrecognizable to his own mother. For the idea of your. Yes. The idea that you might say yes to receiving his glory, to seeing him, to having him, to having him be your father. Just the idea, not the guarantee. He doesn't die off of the. Guaranteed. Yes. He doesn't die because he knows you're going to choose him. He dies off of these. The idea that you may choose him, and this is beautiful because his life shows us that our purpose and our power is such a threat to the enemy that even the idea of it was worth the life of the most beloved Son of God. God, the power that works on you is such a threat to the enemy that the very idea of you had to be clothed in flesh laid on the cross that victory might come. Just that you may maybe say yes.

Lord have mercy. Come on. Can we give God a praise now? Now? Debts. Dr. Val, this is kind of cheating because I. I think about the old. The old Testament. And I kind of fast forward to the New Testament because he got up on the third day with all power in his hands. We're saying no. And we knew that he. And we know that he got up. If God could raise Jesus from the dead, surely I could come out of this depression.

[Dr. Val]

Surely.

If God could raise Jesus from the dead, surely I could stop Googling this website. Oh, y' all don't want to be honest? If God could raise Jesus from the dead, surely I could stop clapping back at people that God told me to be quiet to. If God could raise Jesus from there, I could. Surely I could leave that relationship alone. If God could raise Jesus from the dead, I could stop. If God could raise.

Surely make it plain.

[Dr. Val]

So to that point. To that point right there.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

We out here now.

[Dr. Val]

Right. We out here now. This is revival.

And revival is realignment.

[Pastor Cora]

Yes.

[Dr. Val]

Meaning that when we are re. Meaning done again, we are brought back into something that we've had before. And what that takes is a realignment our lives, which is a revival of what's going on in our lives. And Isaiah, the first 39 chapters, shows us how to be realigned or revived. So when Isaiah sees God high and lifted up, it's because. And help me to reimagine this, because scholars say that Isaiah was kin to Uzziah. That was his cousin. Yeah, yeah, it was his cousin. Read your whole Bible. It's somewhere in there. Isaiah was his cousin. So. And Uzziah was a very, very wealthy, very productive, very successful king. And the people loved him. He was a good guy until. And they were all prosperous because of him. And some scholars say even Isaiah was respectful of him or respected him, not just because that was his cousin, but because he was making the people productive. So the first five chapters, these visions that Isaiah is getting, is what is to come. Although they are productive, although they are having good success. Think about this. Although they're having good success, he is about. Uzzah is about to do something that takes them all down to hell, if you will. He's about to do something that's taken a whole people down, right? And so when he dies, the people are kind of mourning, if you will imagine this with me. They're mourning because Uzzah has died. The man has made them prosperous, productive, successful, so forth, so on. And now we see that although he messed up, there is still the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords sitting high. So he's high and lifted up. Although we depended and trusted in this particular king, now that he's gone. And we're sad about this, but we got a vision of the high and lifted up that there is still a high king. And the Bible says that only his train filled the temple. Now, his train was just the hem of his garment. It was just a hem. Where you going? I'm trying to go to the woman with the issue of blood, but don't want to get there yet. Only his train filled the temple or his hymn filled the temple. The rest of it couldn't get in there. You know, women that have these gowns with these long trains on them, and you walking down the aisle and your train is still at the back door, but you at the front. That's what it looks like. So God is high and lifted up. And this. This train or this robe that he has on shows the dimension of power that he has. It shows how much power. So the robes on the kings in those days determined the type of power. When they saw a king's robe, they knew how powerful this king was. So that means Uzziah had a robe out of this world. But when his robe was laid to rest, then he was able to see the king of kings robes, which was 10 times greater than the robe that uzaidai. So although the king that you love is gone, there's still another king.

And there is the king. I'm sorry.

I wrote about it saying that it's outsourced faith, that ultimately we look at social media, we look at a nice quote, graphic that a pastor said something, and that's what you use to build your faith instead of going to your word yourself. That's why it matters for us to get hungry again. That's where revival happens. So if revival only touches you in this room and it doesn't touch you when you go back home, you miss

something that's real good.

That power that is accessible to the pastor or to the leader here is accessible to you. God can give you revelation. Not that you don't need a pastor. A pastor, and I'm not a pastor. You can't continue to utilize them instead of going right to your Word and asking God, what is it that you want me to see? God? I'm only up here because it wasn't a pastor that told me or called me and said, you should be a pastor. A lot of them did that. It was when God spoke to me and said, you ultimately are being called to help shepherd your people. You have to have that relationship, the direct relationship, and that indwelling spirit is where that inspiration comes from. You have to have that personal relationship.

It's a dangerous thing to get into your Word, guys. It's a danger. No, I'm serious.

It is a very big threat to the enemy, and this is why. It is the will of God. The Bible is the will of God. I am trying to tell y', all, you're missing the wheel meeting, and a lot of the warfare that you're going through is because you missed the wheel meeting. Okay? If you would get into the Word of God, you begin to read what he says about you, what he says about the power in you, what he says about the devil, what he says about him being defeated, what he says about your strategy, what he says about you being formed and known before you were even in your mother's womb, what he says about rejection, what he says about abandonment, what he says about fear, what he says about shame, what he says about loneliness, what he says about poverty. Oh, does that sound like things y' all been struggling with? All of that is in the Word. The will of. What he has said concerning your struggle is in the word of God. And it is dangerous. This is why when you open the

It's because the enemy is trying to get you to sleep off your power. He's trying to get you to sleep off your purpose. He's trying to get you to sleep off the will of God. Because if you find out what God has said about you, if you find out about the power that works within you, if you find out how ineffective and how low the devil really is, you're gonna become a threat. And so as long as you don't want to win the Fight.

The devil in the detail.

Listen, because it was written in a. And this is really to the. To the new. The young kids, the young babies, all right? Because you have so much on social media and on the Internet to look at that. When you see that the Bible is not relative to your life, then you won't read it, right? But they all said the devil is alive because there is nothing in God's Word that does not apply to us. Nothing. Although it was written in Hebraic terms in Aramaic and all the other languages, he didn't leave it here for us not to read it. He left it here for us to become the powerful beings that he has made us. And if you don't pick it up and read it, you won't know how powerful you really are. Pick up.

And you know that word up, too, is that a lot of times you're praying for answers that are already in the Word. And so then you get into the. He not even answering me every time I pray. It's like he's silent, he not even responding. And he had already responded. You just ain't read the Word enough to have seen the answer. And so it's not that he's a silent God. You're not a seeking believer. And so when you begin to seek what the Word says, when you begin to seek, you shall find. When you begin to seek, these things are added unto you. But when you begin to add, add excuses instead of applying the knowledge of the Word, you perish. Your prayers perish, your faith perishes, your wisdom perishes because of a lack of knowledge.

No, no, no. I want you to jump in this because PT is articulating that sometimes what's obstructing us from getting to the Word, recognizing God is success and achievement, comfort and control, relationships and approval, possessions and security. And then just downright Dex said it earlier, self, Pastor Don, flow along that along with that. And then my question to you is, what made you dig into the Word like you like to dig into the Word?

Well, I'll answer the last one first because it's the easiest I dig in the word. Like I dig in the word cause I'm a fool.

So that. To me, that's the easiest.

That's for me. I can't speak for anybody else. You know, maybe y' all was born saved, but me, yeah, that's. That's my lifeline. But I thought about something that they were talking and what PT Was talking. Those five doctor you talked about the realignment. So when Dex was talking about the realignment, I thought Isaiah said, when he died, I saw God seated. I saw him seated. Which means. Which means he shifts. Which means he shifts from an empty throne to an occupied throne. So now I don't see what I used to depend on last season. I see something now I need to depend on in this new season. But here's the realignment that we all mess up. If you know anything about cards, your car can get out of alignment, but the only way you know your car is out of alignment is when you let the wheel go. Yeah, you gotta let it go and it'll drift on you, but as long as you hold it on to it, you think everything is fine. Because here's the problem. When you're. When you're out of alignment, it's not the outside of the tire that's messed up. It's the inside that's worn down. So your inside can be worn down. And you don't know until you realign and let go. Because it's when I let go, I say, God, I'm drifting. I'm drifting away on Google. I'm drifting away in the social media. I'm drifting away not paying my tithe. I'm drifting away not reading the word of God. So God will have to kill something so you can realign your sight and say, wait a minute, I'm depending on an empty throne. Yeah, for a season. What God was saying was only supposed to be. Supposed to be temporary. Yeah, he says, but now I see the Lord high and lifted up now. Now I see him. Which would imply I didn't see it before.

[Pastor Cora]

That's the word is right there.

[Pastor Don]

I won't get into that.

I didn't see him before. You better recognize. You know, you got to recognize out

here, Dr. Val, first of all, it just. I almost took off running. Because it's self that has to be contained, self that has to be denied. That's so good.

Okay, I wasn't gonna bother, but I'm about.

Come on, come on, come on. Because I. I saw you going there.

[Pastor Don]

When he touched his lips, when he touched. He says, listen, the first thing I'm gonna do before I send you, I' ma heal you of your past hurts, your iniquities and your sins off of you. Which means I'mma heal your mind before you move forward. You heal from your sins, your sins are forgiven. It's your iniquity that guilt we run with. I'm not worthy to be preaching. Well, I know I'm not worth to be preaching, but the word says, he that's on the inside of me makes me worthy to declare his word of God. There is no. There is nothing good dwells within his flesh. However great is he that's on the inside of me. So there must be something good on the inside of me. But I only know that through muscle development by reading the word of God, I can go longer now because I've developed myself. Okay, you know what? That is what I did. That's not who I am.

Can we give God a praise for that?

I just want to say there is a humility that comes with knowing, oh, God, that you're worthy only because of God. Yeah. Because of my own self, I'm not worthy. Yeah. I am not worthy. And that humility keeps you grounded, and the confidence that you have not in yourself, but in him, allows you to walk in this power that he has put on the inside of you and this glory that he trusts you with. So it's always a humility that has to stay in front of you. As Pastor Don said, the Word comes to keep him. The Word comes to keep you humble. Because if you don't stay humble, what does the Word say about a haughty

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

spirit comes before a fall?

[Dr. Val]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And so although you know you're worthy, you know why you're worthy. Always remember you know why you're worthy. And the confidence that you walk in is not in your own. It's the confidence that you have in the God that gives you the power and the glory to walk in.

[Pastor Cora]

You know, go.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

Go ahead, V. No, no, no. I'm just praising God for what she said.

I was going to say that just as the Word keeps you humble, the Word also convicts and corrects.

[Dr. Val]

Yes.

[Pastor Cora]

And sometimes we don't want to read the Word because it's going to require a correction or an accountability within us that we're running from. From. And so it's important that you know what you need to work on within yourself so that the Word doesn't become a bully to you, but a builder for you. A lot of times we want to avoid what will cause a realignment because it costs too much. It takes too much time. I don't have the patience to wait. I need to wait a little bit longer. I can handle the shaking. And so we allow ourselves to stay in the out of alignment, if you will, because alignment cost you something. It cost responsibility. It cost accountability. It costs being corrected. It costs having to be humble before God, which means that I now am submitted to the direction of the Holy Ghost. And I am not really sure that we are often very willing to be submitted and surrendered to the direction of the Holy Ghost. And so we often are detouring ourselves from the Bible because of the correction of it. Not just the humility, but the rebuke the conviction, the correction and the requirement. That's what going to come. Because once you know, you have to change. When you don't know, you cannot be held responsible for what you do not know. But once you know, you have to be held responsible for that in which you know. So some of us just say it's better for me not to know so I can keep acting up fool than to go ahead and start reading the Word so I can correct my character to be able to carry out the mantles that God is placing on me.

[Dr. Val]

And you know why he's wooing. Wait. Oh, I'm sorry.

[Pastor Don]

No.

[Dr. Val]

One thing that if you know you don't want to read the Word because there's some correction coming. That means the God on the inside of you knows is telling you something. Something wrong, Something up here. Something is up. So you already got the witness on the inside before you even pick up the Bible. The witness is there, Good God Almighty, and the witness will make you, will convict you even on no, even if you don't know what wrong it is you've done.

[Pastor Michael Phillips]

Let me say this to the people who may think, well man, is it just correction. John 6:63 says, Jesus says these words, I speak their spirit and life. Yeah, you're not just reading the Word to be convicted and to be cut and to be rebuked. There's life in that word. Anybody want the Zoe life to run after purpose and destiny and business and investing and funding. All of that is tied to the text. But that's not really what I was going to say. Something you said earlier about that tongue reminded me that James called the Revelation because the word is like the tongue, the bit in a horse's mouth. Once you put the bit in a horse's mouth, you can turn it with us, however, which way you want to, because it is God realigning your thought process, cognition, recognition, recognize, because he is changing the verbiage of how you think so that your words would be different. Can we talk a little bit about the words in this text? Because Dr. Val, you brought up a great point and I wanted to try to get to second Peter, but you brought up a great point. The first five chapters, he's flowing, he's hearing, he's seeing visions, but he's not fully functioning in the perhaps he's not fully functioning in the fullness of it. How do we take the Word of God and allow to get into our words to change so that we can really paint our destiny and reimagine a greater future? For ourselves.

So I am. I believe in etymology. I believe in the studies of words. And I'm an exegetical teacher, which means I go line upon line. Every word is written for a reason. And I think oftentimes, you know, we want to pull out of the text what we think, what works best or what gives us a good preaching sermon or some cliche that way. But I think oftentimes we're missing, like, a major thing that's in here. That's a template. The Bible says the angels cry, holy, holy, holy. Now, here's the thing. They set the atmosphere by what they open their mouth and say. And this is what happens when they open their mouth, the post of the door moves. Wait a minute.

If they're a template of what we're supposed to be doing, there's something about us crying his name holy. Which was called some stuff to move. Which now brings us to acts at midnight, while they were praying and singing Acts 16.

Crying Holy, holy, holy. Wait a minute. I'm doing what the angel said I should be doing. I'm crying holy. In other words, I'm declaring who he is. And if I'm declaring who he is, anything that's blocking my destiny has to move.

And there's something about being in God's glory. I know this might be a little antiquated, but there's nothing about glory when I call his name. No, it ain't just his name.

This is why I need you to stay right there. Because a door post is a sign. It's a mile marker for the door. Which door is God getting ready to open and move? See, some of you, you're behind locked gates, and God's getting ready to unfriend. Oh, you don't. You don't understand. Some of you are so broken that you don't even even realize that you're broken in all the right places. Because you're the key that's about to unlock the door. You're the key that's about to.
