Hi, I'm Jacqueline Snyder and this is the Product Boss podcast. I've helped launch and grow thousands of product based businesses, even one of my own. And over the last 20 years, I've seen behind the scenes of businesses just like yours. Whether they are makers, manufacturers, artists, or food and beverage businesses. I have spent so many hours studying it all. I've discovered what makes them successful, what mistakes they could have avoided, how did they turn their ideas into a successful business, and what are the strategies that they have used to make more sales and be discovered by more customers. And this is what this show is all about. Whether you're just starting out or you're looking to become a million dollar product boss, I'm here to give you the permission to chase your dreams, no matter how big or small. All you need is the right mindset, a little courage, strategy and support, and you too can be the next million dollar product boss. Let's do this. Oh my goodness. Friends, if you are anything like me, you probably spend more time running errands than running your business. Am I right? Like, everything needs something, we gotta run around. And I knew that this was like a major issue for me back in the day, which is why I decided to get help where I could. And I decided to let Instacart handle all of my grocery shopping. So I no longer had to worry about running all the errands and having to run out and get more alm milk for my lattes. Rather, I was like, you know what, we're just gonna let Instacart handle that. So I want you to imagine skipping the store and getting back to designing packaging, orders, making, or maybe actually taking a break, even a nap. Remember those? Okay, so with Instacart, you can get groceries and essentials delivered in as fast as an hour so you can focus on growing your business without sacrificing a meal. Plus, less stress and more focus. And here's a tip. I've actually used Instacart before to order gifts from my daughter's friend's birthday parties because I haven't had time to run out and get presents. And I've been able to get the packaging like the gift bag and the gift gift, like hello Sephora, delivered to my house while I was in the middle of coaching sessions so that I could have the present right. It's like having a personal assistant without having a personal assistant. So if you want to do what I do and get the help where you can, you can try it. Now, if you head to the productboss, dot Com Instacart. Hey, hey, product bosses. Okay, really, really quick. Are you spending more time making all your products or maybe packaging your boxes and actually growing your business? I know. Okay, so if you've ever wished that someone would just tell you exactly what works when it comes to scaling your product brand into real money, right, like the good profit and making sales and growing this business that I know you've dreamed of, then I have something really special for you. I pulled together a special bundle of our top podcast episodes that every product based business needs to hear. So think of this as your shortcut straight to the strategies that help you grow your sales, build a brand that lasts, and avoid that burnout that no one is actually talking about. Enough. So we're talking mindset shifts and marketing strategies and those behind the scenes lessons. And yes, you're going to have some quick action plans and strategies that we're going to share in here as well. So it is my top episodes playlist and it's totally free. We just wanted to gather it up so you didn't have to scroll through hundreds of episodes and think, what do I want to listen to? Right? Let's make it easy. So all you have to do is head to www.theproductboss.com top or click the link in the show notes, pop in your email. I'll send over those exact episodes that have helped thousands of product based business owners like you move from the hustle to sold out. Right? I want you to go from where you are to getting you seen and sold. And that's all going to happen with this compilation of episodes for you. I just want to make it super easy. So let's start building your business with clarity, strategy, ease, and freedom. Welcome back, product bosses. Okay, so let me ask you a serious question. Ready? What would an extra $10,000 mean to your business this holiday season? So maybe you're like, oh, a lot. Jacqueline. Oh my gosh. Let's talk about this, right? So maybe that's your first $10,000 in sales ever. Maybe this holiday season is going to be your first $10,000 month. Or maybe like some of my students, you're dreaming of a $10,000 day during Black Friday weekend. I mean, I've had students pull in $10,000 in an hour. It's incredible, right? And it's just like anything is possible. If we believe anything is possible 100% of the time, what can we create together? So here's the good news. It's simpler than you think, right? It's not about adding more products or chasing every trend or even posting every single day on social media. You know, I'm not about that. For you. It's about clarity. It's about focus. It's about a simple formula. And today I'm going to walk you through that formula so you can see exactly what's possible for you this holiday season. Right? So this is the conversation I'm going to be expanding on inside of our Rock youk Holiday Promotions Challenge. But I wanted to give you a sneak peek here on the podcast because I know how much clarity this will bring. So if you've ever thought I just don't know what's realistic or I don't know how many products I need to sell to hit my goals. My friend, this episode is for you. And so many of you have already enrolled in Rock youk Holiday Promotions Challenge. It's totally free, but a lot of you upgraded to becoming a viper because the VIP students get to go live with me every single day with questions, implementation, we go deeper together. It's just absolutely incredible what happens in the VIP group. So if you've joined or you have joined and you haven't signed up for vip, let me tell you, that is the place to be. Okay? Anyways, I'm going to drop the link in the show notes Rocket holiday promotions.com so you can get signed up super easy and let's do this together. Okay? So have you ever thought, I don't know what's realistic, right? Or I don't know how many products I need to sell to hit my goals or I know what I want to make happen this season, I'm not sure I can do it. Or some of you might be like, gosh, like I don't even know if I can keep up right now. But here's the deal. Too many product based business owners go into Q4 without a plan. They say, I hope I sell more this year or I hope that I make X amount of dollars this year or I hope, hope, hope, hope. But guess what? Hope isn't a strategy, right? Or maybe they're thinking, I have to create 10 new products to make more money. Or what I'm doing right here doesn't work. So let me go over here and make something else. My friends, that only leads to overwhelm and confusion and stress and diluted sales. And not to mention, every time we have an idea, it costs us money. Some of you out there are thinking like, where's all my money? Why aren't I profitable? Why is this so hard to Pay myself. It's because, yeah, we're product based business owners. We have to invest in raw goods and products before we ever sell it, typically. Right. That's why this podcast is different than those, you know, coaches and businesses out there that are teaching you how to like, go source product and sell it on Amazon or do print on demand or, you know, work for an MLM and do direct sales. This is very different. But either way, a lot of times in product we have to front the money before it's sold. But some of you out there, especially my makers, get really excited. They want to create, they'd rather be creating every single day. And so it's like something new to create, but versus what's selling. How do I get known for something? How do I sell my best sellers? How do I sell what works? Here's the deal. Without a clear sales target and a plan, a plan, a plan, A plan tied to your actual products, it's going to be impossible to hit the numbers you want. It just is. So here's the deal, here's the truth. You don't need more products. You don't. I know you think you do. Some of you do. You actually need to know what you're known for and lean into that, especially in the season. And once you know what you're known for, right, this might be your best sellers, for example, and you know the pricing, the price point, like what you're going to price it at, making sure that you have margins, that you're putting money back in your pocket. You can literally map out exactly how many units you need to sell to hit your goal. It's like a math problem. It's like a fifth grade math problem. So what we're going to do is we're going to take this vague dream that we're having for your first 10,000. Your first $10,000 a month, your $10,000 a day, your $10,000 hour, your $10,000 five minutes. It's whatever you want it to be. But we get to take this vague dream and turn it into a tangible target. And this is how we're going to do it, right? Because once you see it on paper, it's going to feel so much more doable. We're just going to do the math. Okay? So this is something that I teach, but I'm going to share with you here. And we're going to go deeper inside of Rocker Holiday Promotions challenge. But let's just do a $10,000 holiday formula. So take notes. Let's work through this together. Step one, you get to pick your revenue goal, right? What's your revenue goal? What's your revenue goal for the season? What's your revenue goal for Black Friday Cyber Monday? Like, you get to choose, right? We gotta work from a goal. And I would say make it a goal that's realistic to where you are and where you could be. But if you're like at $2,000 and you wanna make a hundred thousand dollars Black Friday weekend, there's a lot more at play than just declaring it, right? There's a lot more we get to build on the back end. But I'm gonna just say that we pick a $10,000 goal for the season. Now then I want you to do is I want you to choose your offer, your bestseller, or the products you're going to be known for, right? This could be you're known for your holiday seasonal scent candles. You are a jewelry company and people really love your chunky bead necklaces, right? But they're all one of a kind. Maybe you sell stationery, but people really love a certain type of stationery or card food product, right? You're like coach Suzanne, who's one of our coaches in our programs, you know, and she did cookies and she was making cookies and cakes and all these other things, but people loved her smash cookies. And then she could always sell her vanilla Smash Cookies and then she did seasonal ones for the season, right? Do you see how you can play here? But you know, Suzanne's not trying to promote these smash cookies and cupcakes and pies and da da, da, right? Like, if you're a pie company, sell the heck out of pies. You've got all the reasons to buy that, right? We all want to eat the pie. So we really get to think, what are we going to focus on? What are these offers we're going to create? Hey, friends. Okay, so I don't know if you're anything like me, but sometimes it feels like my self care routine is slipping through the cracks. Because when I'm juggling and wearing all the hats in my business and doing all the things, I mean, the last thing I have to do is like really fulfill that self care routine that my daughter's talking about. She's like, mom, so listen. So when it comes to running a successful business, you can't really pour from an empty cup. And a lot of times that self care is like one of the first things to get yourself recalibrated. So. So that's why I want you to meet Glossy. Now, Glossy is my Favorite daily beauty supplement designed to transform your skin and gut health from the inside out. And I'm actually an investor in this business because I so believe in this idea of science backed ingredients for digestion and skin hydration and glossy makes it really easy to look and feel your best without that whole 10 step routine in the mirror. The thing I don't actually have time for, all I have to do is simply mix the stick into my water and I'm good to go. So if you want to try this, because I so believe in this business, I think it's amazing. It's done so many wonders for my skin and my gut, which are two things that I need help with. And you want to simplify your wellness and your beauty. All you have to do is click in the show notes and you can use the code Jacqueline Snyder. So it's my full name. Use the code Jacqueline Snider. And I'm hooking you up with 15% off your order. So cheers to glowing skin and a thriving business. And then I want you to look at the price, right, the price point. So let's say your best selling product sells for $50. I want you to just do the math, right? This is the framework, okay? So it's pick your revenue goal, choose the product you're going to focus on, what you're going to be known for. Look at your price point, how much is it? And then let's do the math. $10,000 divided by $50. Let's say my best selling cuff was 50 bucks and I make $10,000. I would have to sell 200 units of my bestseller only to make $10,000. I did this when I started Cuffs Couture that I wanted to see how many units would I have to sell to make a million dollars? I was like, how many cuffs do I need to sell to make a million dollars? So I worked backwards. I took my average price for a cuff and I remember it was about 7,000 cuffs. And I looked at that and I was like, 7,000 doesn't seem so crazy. It didn't seem like a million to make a million dollars. It was like 7,000. All right, let me figure out how to move that. And it wasn't in a year at that point, it was just, how do I hit a million bucks? So this is really similar to that. That's $10,000 divided by a $50 product. You'd have to sell 200 of them to hit 10,000. Now let's kind of pull out a little bit more. Maybe your product's $100, right. Then it's only 100 sales of that one product. If it's $25, it's 400 sales. So some of you are like, oh, that doesn't sound so bad. And some of you are like, how? Right? You're like, 200 how? Or 200 doesn't sound so bad. Right. We're going to all be in the middle now. Inside of rocker holiday promotions challenge. That's where we're going to start to kind of dig deeper into. Okay, then it's called rock your holiday promotions challenge because we're talking about the promotions that we get to create. And promotions are not always discounts, right? They're offers that we make in the season. It's a promotion that we're running. It could be a discount, it could be a bundle. It could be a free gift. With purchase, it could be free shipping. There's things like that because discounts and offers like that do really well in this season, but could also be, guess what? My new fall launch is here. My new Christmas launch is here. It's Halloween is here. Right. We get to also think about, like, what are we going to promote? I'm going to promote the Halloween collection. I'm going to promote the spooky black T shirt with the ghosts on it. Right. We're thinking about what we want to sell. So inside of the boot camp and where I'm going to give you a little bit of like a little sneak peek more. So here is, what would it look like then if we figured out how to sell more than the one product? Right. What if. If you sold one at 50, it's 200 units. But what if we got the customer to spend a hundred dollars with us during the holiday season? Now we only need 100 sales over the holiday season. That's about 30 sales a month, one sale a day. Does that sound doable? I think it does. Right? So if we can raise the average order value, if we could raise the offer, we get customers to buy more from you at the time of purchase. That's how the math starts to math. $10,000 starts to seem really easy. And when you break it down this way, it stops feeling impossible. Right? That impossibility, that. That part is like the roadblock. That's the thing that gets us in the way of like actually seeing the forest of the trees so you can see exactly what needs to happen. And then your promotions, your visibility, your marketing, where you're seeing selling, right, Your main sales engine, which is your sales channel, or if you're adding on an additional sales engine or sales channel, you get to make it all simpler. And now you've got numbers to go against to hit your goal. It gets to be that easy. What if you were doing this right? What if we got our customers to spend a hundred dollars instead of 50? We know we only need 100 sales then, but what if we had four stores buy from us wholesale and they were buying at 500 each? We just knocked out $2,000 from four wholesale stores, and then the other 8,000 gets to come from our products, which means we have to sell less even. And this is that idea of, like, really honing in on your main sales channel, your main sales engine where you sell, and then adding on an additional sales channel sales engine, which I like to call it, so that it can sell while you're doing the other thing, right, so that you can sell more by using other people's audiences. It gets to be that easy. I know you're like, is it really that easy? It gets to be that easy. Are you seeing it? So here's reflection for today. What is your 10K holiday product, your 10K holiday offer, your 10K holiday promotion? When you create that promotion, how many units, how many sales would you need to get you there? So once you do that math, I want you to go off of your bestseller, look at that number and say, okay, what if I raised my average order value? What if I added on a sales engine that I just coached this morning? She's making about $2,000 on her website. So we were talking about her next option could be that wholesale would work for the kind of product that she has and what she wants to do. So I said, what if you make. You don't do any growth on your current website. You make $2,000 there, and then you add on an additional sales engine like wholesale, and now you make $2,000 there. Now your company is generating $4,000 in the month. And then what if we go back to where you're currently selling the $2,000 sales engine, and we make a couple tweaks and get it to make $3,000? We use email marketing, right? We contact buyers that have already bought from us. We raise average order values. We do upsells and cross sells. We go in and we focus on, we fix where we're currently selling. What if you grew that and added on a sales engine? Now you might be at a 5, $6,000 business. Do you see how easy it can be? I know I'm like, I'm great at math. And horrible at math. I do simple math for so many people. Like, thousands of people watch me do it. But I love to create the math problem because it's math, not drama. As my life coach Stacy says. Right. When we look at the math and we just go, how do we work backwards from this? We get to find the solution. And numbers are not dramatic. They're just data points that we get to figure out how to make happen. So I want you to do this for yourself. Write it down, look at that number, and let it sink in that this is actually possible for you, because it is. So here's your mantra for this week. Clarity creates confidence, and confidence creates sales. Okay. And I'm gonna add on math, not drama, because that's something that I love to tell myself whenever I'm, like, spinning out, I'm like, what's the math? Let's just work back from the math. So if this episode gave you an aha moment, and you're thinking, wow, I can actually see how I could hit $10,000 this holiday, then, my friends, if you're not already signed up. Yes. You need to be in Rocker Holiday Promotions challenge. I know I'm going hard on it, but this is it. This is the month. This is when we do it. This is our Super Bowl. This is when it's like, everybody get on the field and let's play this game together. That is why I'm, like, all in on talking about it right now, because it's so important. It's going to be one of the biggest events for product bosses in the entire year, and it's going to be the thing that sets us up for what's possible in this season. And not only what's possible in the season. The Halo period into January and February and how we get to kick off the new year and go through it. Right? Because this year has been a year.
