Hey, I'm Jacqueline Snyder and I'm the host of the Product Boss podcast. This Dear Jacqueline episode. This is the place where I answer questions that you've been afraid to ask anyone else about your product business and the life you're actually trying to build around it. And I want to start today's episode with a number. $10,000. There is almost always $10,000 already sitting inside of your product business and you did not have to launch something new to find it. So you don't have to build a new sales channel, you don't have to manifest it. You just have to know where to look. And most product based business owners default to new every time they need to grow. New product, new launches, new sales channels, new offers, a new thing. And the truth is, almost every product business I have ever worked with is leaving real money on the table in places they have stopped looking. So today we're going to talk about where that money is hiding, the seven places to check, and the one move I'd have you make if you needed to get cash right now. Let's get into it.

I've helped launch and grow thousands of product based businesses, even one of my own. And over the last 20 years, I've seen behind the scenes of businesses just like yours. Whether they are makers, manufacturers, artists, or food and beverage businesses, I have spent so many hours studying it all. I've discovered what makes them successful, what mistakes they could have avoided, how did they turn their ideas into successful business, and what are the strategies that they have used to make more sales and be discovered by more customers. And this is what this show is all about. Whether you're just starting out or you're looking to become a million dollar product

permission to chase your dreams no matter how big or small. All you need is the right mindset, a little courage, strategy and support, and you too can be the next million dollar product boss. Let's do this.

So here's the question that came in. Dear Jacqueline, how do I make $10,000 without launching something new? Now, this client was like, I need to make a quick 10k. They had bills to pay and things needed to happen. So real quick. Before I answer this, if you want me to answer your questions on a future episode, all you have to do is follow me over on Instagram at the Product Boss and slide into my DMs with one of the words Dear Jacqueline and your question. And I read every single One of them that comes in and it's for people who follow the show, follow me on Instagram and the best ones become future episodes. Okay, so let's get back to the answer. So first I want you to hear something important. You do not have a I need enough customers problem. You have a haven't asked them yet problem. So stay with me that. In 20 years of doing this work with more than 2000 brands as my one on one clients and over a hundred thousand women in product based businesses here at the Product Boss, I've seen this pattern over and over and over. So someone wakes up needing more revenue, right? And maybe that's you. And you immediately default to I need something new. And maybe you're spending weeks designing it and spending money that you don't yet have and launching it to not the way that you had hoped. And you maybe you're wondering why nothing is working. Meanwhile, sitting in your customer database, sitting on your email list, sitting on your abandoned cart, sitting in your warehouse is more than $10,000 that you could activate this week if you stop trying to invent and started actually asking the strategy growth is not new. That the strategy is harvest. Okay, so let's talk about harvest. Today we're going to talk about three things, right? The belief that's blocking you from harvesting and making the money, the seven places to look, and the one move I'd have you make this week. So here's the belief that maybe you think new is exciting and you think new is the move. You think that your audience and your customers are waiting for the next thing. But the truth is that your customers already love the thing you already have. They just need you to remind them. They need you to give them a reason to buy right now. They need you to actually ask them to buy. And most product based business owners are afraid to email their list or email too much. And maybe they're thinking that they're annoying people and they think they're being pushy and they think they need a real like reason to wait, right? Like they need a real reason. So maybe you're posting more on Instagram stories and you're hoping, or maybe you send one email and pray and then you tell yourself, well, the list isn't responding or I emailed them too much or I don't know, some story that you're making up and the deal is that you're actually not selling the shift. Is this ready for it? Selling the people who have already raised their hand is not pushy. They've joined your email list, they're following you. They've shown up at your booth, right? They've opted in, they're telling you that they want what you have. So your job is just to keep showing up with the next reason for them to buy. So that's going to bring me to the second thing. Your business is your mirror. And right now your business is showing you something specific is showing that you have customers, you've got inventory, and you have an email list that are not being fully activated. And it's showing you that you have that there's value that you collected and, and there's no shortage of opportunity, there's just shortage of asking. So your business is mirroring back to you and it's saying stop building, right? Stop building something new and start activating what you already have. So now let's get tactical. Here are the seven places that $10,000 is probably hiding inside of your business right now. And I'm going to give them to you fast. Okay? So pauses if you need to write this down. So let's talk about it. Ready? One, past customers who haven't bought in a while, right? If they haven't bought in 90 days, they already love you. They just got busy. So email them. Two, your email list. The people who have never bought. Some of them are one, offer away from becoming a customer. And most product businesses never actually directly invite them to buy it. Three, abandoned carts. If you're not running automated abandoned cart emails, you're leaving money on the floor, right? Like literally floor on the table every single day. So set it up. And for wholesale buyers, right? Wholesale buyers who haven't reordered pick up the phone, send a personal email and ask if they're running low. Most reorders happen because the founder and the owner asked, not because the buyer remembered. Five, old inventory. Yep, Sitting in your warehouse, on your shelves. Bundle it, discount it, make it a flash sale, convert it into cash. Inventory is not money sitting in a box. Inventory is money you've already spent that hasn't come back yet. And six, your bestselling product. Most product business owners under promote what's already working. So your job is to multiply what sells, not pivot away from it. Bundle it, upsell it, like upsell from it, feature it again and again and again. And 7 is pricing honestly. You might just be underpriced. So look at your best seller's profit margin. And if it's under 30%, you might be selling too cheap. In fact, if it's under double, you might be selling too cheap. So test a $5 increase. Most of the time, nothing changes except your bottom line and it goes up. So that's seven places. There is almost certainly $10,000 between them. And I want to tell you about a client of mine. She came to me convinced that she needed to launch a new product line. She was at about $200,000 a year in revenue, and she thought a new launch was the answer. And I had her pause everything. I asked her to send me what her customer list was, and I asked her how many customers had bought from her in the last 12 months. Now, this answer was about a thousand people. So then I went and I asked her what was the. When was the last time that you personally emailed all 1,000 of them? And she couldn't remember. Right. These are people who have already bought months, maybe a year. So we wrote a single email together that was personal, warm. Not just like a sales email, but just I've been thinking about you, and here's what's new and here's what's still in stock. Hit reply if you want me to set anything aside for you. Okay. We made it feel really personal. We sent out that email to a thousand people on a Tuesday, and by Friday, she had $15,000 in new orders. She had not launched anything new. She just had to remember to ask and make a special offer. So if you take nothing else from today, take these three things. One, growth is rarely about new. Growth is about asking the people who have already love you and have bought from you to buy again to. The money is already in your business. It's in your past customers, your email list, your abandoned carts, your wholesale buyer, your inventory, your bestsellers, and your pricing. You just have to look. And three, selling is not pushy. Selling to people who opted in is just a service, right? It's a service of giving them what they wanted. It's your job. They're waiting for you to ask. So here's your work for the week. I want you to pick one of the seven places. I just named just one. And I don't want you to try to do it all seven right now. Take one specific action. If it's past customers, pull a list of customers who haven't bought in 90 days and email them today. If it's your email list, write one email you've been avoiding writing and send it on Thursday. And if it's wholesale, pick three buyers and call them today. Not email. Call them one action this week and watch what happens. All right, so two quick things before you go. Every single week I host a free training called how to scale your product business to a million dollars and passed it without becoming the bottleneck. Host: Jacqueline Snyder
This episode of The Product Boss podcast, hosted by Jacqueline Snyder, tackles a common question among product-based business owners: How do I make $10,000 without launching something new? Jacqueline explains why “launching new” is often a distraction and reveals that real revenue is already hiding in your existing business. She shares mindset shifts, tactical strategies, and seven specific places to look for untapped cash—all before making a single new product or entering a new sales channel.
Timestamp: 00:00 – 04:42
Many entrepreneurs default to “new everything” (new products, new offers, new launches) when they feel stuck or need more revenue.
The core problem isn’t a lack of customers or products; it’s not actively asking your existing audience to buy.
“You do not have an ‘I need enough customers’ problem. You have a ‘haven’t asked them yet’ problem.” (03:16, Jacqueline)
Selling to people who already raised their hands (joined your email list, followed you, bought before) isn’t pushy—it’s service.
Timestamp: 04:43 – 06:12
Timestamp: 06:13 – 08:29
Jacqueline distills twenty years of client experience into seven actionable areas:
“Most reorders happen because the founder and the owner asked, not because the buyer remembered.” (07:06, Jacqueline)
“Your job is to multiply what sells, not pivot away from it.” (07:40, Jacqueline)
Timestamp: 08:30 – 09:28
“We wrote a single email together...sent it out to a thousand people on a Tuesday, and by Friday, she had $15,000 in new orders.” (09:13, Jacqueline)
Timestamp: 09:30 – 10:20
"They’re waiting for you to ask.” (09:58, Jacqueline)**
Timestamp: 10:21 – 10:57
Jacqueline wraps with a practical challenge: just pick one area, take action, and see what happens, emphasizing that harvesting what you have is faster and more effective than constantly launching something new. She invites listeners to her free workshops and 1:1 advisory calls for more support.
For product business owners, this episode is a tactical wake-up call: the next $10k is already in your database, not in your next launch—if you just know where to look and have the courage to ask.
