Is there something in your life you are afraid to share? Well, this episode is that thing for me. I am scared to share this with you, but I know it will help you in ways it has helped me. So let's talk about it ... the shame of home and shame of clutter. Over the last few years ago I went through so much change and so many shifts. And because of that piles of clutter surround my home (and my life). So I found myself sitting in the same mental, physical, and emotional place I was a decade ago before I decluttered for the first time. In this episode Allie discusses: 🏠 The current reality of her home and clutter, and where shame started to creep in over the last few years ☀️ The shame women feel in their home (+ how real, normal it is) ❌ How the energy of hiding hinders you in every area of your life 💛 Choosing to live against the grain when it comes to clutter + things Mentioned in this Episode: Email Sequence Course Connect with Allie: Instagram Website Podcast Page This podcast is produced by Pivot Media Co. Being feminine is so beautifully portrayed in becoming a mother. But the messaging in society doesn't support that. Feminism is all about receiving but motherhood is all about giving. Ultimately, the misunderstanding of feeling like we need to constantly give, give, give comes from an unhealed part of ourselves. To dive into that healing, we need to learn how to be loving (with ourselves and others). I am so excited to chat about all of this (and so much more!) with Danielle LaPorte. She is an author and chart-topping podcast host, and a member of Oprah's SuperSoul 100. Her most recent book is called How To Be Loving and speaks to when your heart is breaking open and the world is waking up. Danielle is also the author of The Fire Starter Sessions, The Desire Map, White Hot Truth, and producer of dozens of meditation kits and online programs for spiritual support. Creating a family mission statement is a really great way to lay the foundation for what your purpose is as a family. It outlines the things you stand for and things you don't. A family mission statement is exactly what it sounds like, an intentional statement that you make together with your family. It encapsulates your priorities and your goals as a family. When parenting gets tricky, and your kids start getting older, it's a really great way to have something to go back to and compare things with. Your family is going to be raised, and your kids are going to grow and become adults, setting a solid foundation with a family mission statement, can help keep you all focused on your family goals. Today's topic is something that I've been asked a lot about, but it's something that I've always struggled to share. I am opening the door for the first time on a very vulnerable, difficult and now, exciting part of me and Brian's story. It's something that I needed to get to a certain place in my life and heart, before I was really ready to open up and share. I've been feeling, for a few months, that the time is coming. I'd even planned on writing a big blog post last year, but I kept putting it off. I kept procrastinating. Subconsciously, I just wasn't ready to share. However, after I ended up starting my own podcast, I felt like it was time to talk about it. It's much easier for me to share this with my voice rather than trying to find the right words in writing... This is the story of the start of my business. How a little hobby blog, that I kept in the quiet, late night hours, while waiting for my husband to get home from a job that he hated, and how it was so difficult for us because we were barely getting by. This is how this little blog turned into a global empire and saved our family and got my husband out of his 9 to 5.
