The YouTube Theater, which I'm certain I've been to, but cannot remember which theater. Exact. That one is because everything's named after something. Why do I feel like. She was there opening night for Othello. Apparently there was some sort of an incident where she and another celebrity who was there got into it. Now, the reason we know about this is because Sherri shepherd has a television show and she Went on that show and talks about it. She addressed the incident in the person calling them, quote, an unnamed celebrity and alleged that this person grabbed them, grabbed her by the arm while she was having a separate conversation and like, thrust her around and confronted her about shading them on her talk show.

Was it Megan?

Apparently the mystery unnamed celebrity was supposedly outed to be Nia Long.

Now why did I think it. Oh, because she just came from Megan. Duh. So why would Megan be that girl? Okay, wait, so. So Nia Long was on the red carpet with Sherri shepherd and hemmed her up and was like, bitch.

Not necessarily the red carpet, but it was, I think maybe after the show or intermission or something. Okay, yeah, she was. She said that she was having conversation. Supposedly Nia Long grabbed her by her arm, turned her around and confronted her about being shady. She said that she responded to her and was like, I haven't been shady. And Nia said, yes, you have, and then walked off. She said that she then waited for Nia in the bathroom during intermission but didn't see her again. So she decided to bring it up on the show, saying, I would say to unnamed celebrity because we've known each other a long time, come sit on my couch so we can talk about it. That was left there. Nia Long since has posted a. A selfie of herself. A selfie of. As opposed to a selfie of someone else.

Like, she literally did at one point bring up the fact that a lot of women of color still want to see him succeed. Now, mind you, the audience is full of, like, aunties and then a scattering of homosexuals. So it's a bunch of people who are ready to clap and cheer for Jonathan Majors anyway. No shade, right? But she was like, yeah, you know, I. I just want to know how you were feeling when you were going through all that and how you felt after the audio came out from 2022 talking about being aggressed. But it was just basically, like, a lot of emotional hand holding. Like, you're, you know, you're just a good boy, and we want to see you succeed. And then she was talking about the movie and how, you know, her son is a black man going through this world. And so she wants her son to see himself in Jonathan Major's portrayal of this character. And this is, you know, over here calling her ma'am, and she's like, don't do that. Call me Sherry. So she's like one of them people where you're like, you're 23 years older than me. I'm gonna call you ma'am. Like, you're a ma'am? What you mean, call you Sherry? We're not peers. But anyway, he started. And, you know, when he's. When he was like, you know, I just can't help but say ma'am, which I do think is sincere. He's from Dallas. He probably legit grew up saying that.

But he also just got free.

I sat there and watched the whole fucking segment with Jonathan Majors. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Yes, it did. Yes, he did. He did an interview with the Hollywood Reporter talking about how this is sad, but he had been, you know, abused as a child by men and women. And so like, you know, he finally told his mama about it and assembled this Avengers team worth of like the best therapists, best doctors. I actually don't have too much bad to say about his responses other than that God has a plan, because that was quite hilarious. He burst, of course. He. Sherry was like, you know, I just checked the news and it looks like you got married yesterday. So he's like twirling his ring around and busted out crying, talking about how much he loved Megan and she's been this rock and blah, blah, blah. I. So I say all that to say Sherry got on my nerves in that interview as well, because it's like, yeah, she was like, there's so many places you could have gone, but you came here. He went to Sherry because who the else was gonna hold him in a. In a proverbial mammy titty and make him feel comforted and safe and hold his hand and baby him through these questions?

And it's been a healing journey and it's been accountability and growth, and I just feel different and blah, blah. Like, I'm not. I'm really not even opposed to all that. My only issue is like, yes, you fuck up, you pay the price. You assuming that you're telling the truth about going to therapy, healing and all that, all that's great if it's true. It just does not entitle you to be a famous movie star. It doesn't entitle you to be in blockbuster films. That's all. Like, should you be able to work? Yes, but work in this specific industry, not really. You should be able to get a job. A job?

Yeah. Not this year, which he has done. He's been able to maintain a job. He's been able to maintain funding, support a team. And to your point right now, which I think is the one part that is. Over the years since becoming an adult, my mom has gotten sober, is a proud business owner, and although our relationship has struggled because she hasn't healed her own trauma, I've allowed her to be part of my son son's lives, but with strict boundaries. Y'all be getting your parents together. And honestly, I do love to see it.

I asked my mom about that and she mentioned that he had been in prison for 15 years and because of that, he's super quiet. One day while I was talking on the phone with her, she let it slip that he had to register. After poking and prodding for more information, she finally said that she took him to a local courthouse to be registered as a as a sex offender because he has moved into her house. I asked my mother why she is dating a sex offender, and she said that the incident happened when he was 20 and the girl was 17 and lied to him about being 18, so.

I did some more digging and found the records. Found out that he lied to my mom, and he was actually 25 years old. And the victim was 13.

I tried to explain this to my mom, and she was not receptive. She took his side and explained that he isn't like that anymore, and I need to stay out of their business. My question is, how do I navigate this grieving process? I cut off the only family I had left. Although I'm happy with my choice and I don't regret it, grieving has been difficult. Mama was like, I'm never speaking to this bitch again. So how do I deal with that? Like sucking. Cause it sucks.

And that I would say, yeah, at least you do have that awareness. And like Crystal mentioned, even the awareness of your mom's own trauma. That ain't got nothing to do with you, but to exist in a situation where this person already you have attempted to heal from them abandoning you, not protecting you from abuse because of their own issues, traumas, forms of abuse or whatever. Like you did whatever work to get past that, forgive that. And I mean, crimson colored flags are all around the place and you're showing them to this same person who did you wrong as a child when you needed protection. And the discussion is the abuse of a child.

Yes, let's talk about, let's talk about how you handle this, because this is actually the hard part. Cutting people off is the easy part compared to dealing with the feelings afterwards.

Well, you know, my first I'm always going to recommend therapy if that's optional, because a therapist can. This is the main thing. They do help people process grief. But you mentioned that you're happy with your choice, you don't regret it, that's good. And that you feel really alone. Your friends, you have great friends, but they live out of state. Connect anyway. Connect anyway. Whatever form of connection you can get from people who really see you, really love you, really value you is good. So sending text messages, if it's a group, even like your closest friends, if they. Especially if they all are also friends. If you could say, hey, can we jump on a zoom or do a group FaceTime or something like, I just really need to talk. Stuff like that. Let people know what you are going through. It's huge. Talk about the pain. Talk about the way the feelings of betrayal or anything else you might be going with, spread it around. Let your friends help you carry the burden. It is a lot less heavy when other people are shouldering the pain with you. And dig into your art, dig into your creativity, journaling, coloring, any expression of acting, even like exercise.

Anything to get your feelings out. Anything to get them feelings out. Because this is too much to just sit in your brain and body and for you to deal with on your own.

Honestly, this is also kind of a little triggering because I'm currently dealing with this, but I naturally default to this feeling of like, oh, well, I'm not going to reach out and vent because they don't want to hear that you. Like, my friends don't want to hear that. Or they're going through their own thing or I don't want to gossip or whatever. So then I just hold onto all of it. But it's like the people in my life that love me and call me friend are like waiting and willing to.

So, yeah, saying this person hurt me, I'm hurt isn't necessarily about somebody.

I feel too faced being like, reach out to your friend. Because I'm still practicing. And it is truthfully very helpful even if we talk about nothing or we just sit on the phone. The one I was definitely going to dive into though is what Krystal also said, which is kind of like forming healthy habits and hobbies.

You are a mother of six year old twins. You got plenty of time. I don't know your schedule, baby cakes, but if you can set her aside like I know that, I know that. But if you can set aside 30 minutes to 60 minutes a day, that is for you and your mind and centering that and making a habit out of that, I think it will make a profound difference in the long run. And it'll probably feel. Cause I've ideally get up, get moving, walk, yoga, meditate, stretch. Do something that physically you have to kind of be active in because it kind of does make your mind focus on something other than the things that's frustrating you. And then the more and more and more you do it, you're now then dedicated your time and mind to something.

But yeah, I think that those can be great ways of building just time for your mind to focus on things that are calming and peaceful and building that habit alongside things like therapy and friends and whatever else can really, I think help. Because the thing that I think that really heals grief and stuff is time. So spending that time in the safest, healthiest place in perspective is probably your best course of action. Sitting and stewing in it, not talking to nobody or whatever.

Going to make it going to the healing process.

Longer time. Time doesn't heal all wounds, but it does heal treated wounds. That's something I like to say.

So you need to, you need to treat the, the injury first, which is, I mean, if I were you, I would be grieving my mother as if she had died. Yeah, because if you chose a child rapist over me and my kids, there's no coming back from that. There's no coming back from that.

So especially in a custody battle, the last thing you need is your ex husband being like. And she got my kids over there with her mama and her mama got a sex offender living in the house. You won't see them kids again. So, yeah, you won't see them children no more. So go. Yeah, this is. I would be treating this as if my mother had died because I just don't see. I don't see a path forward for us. So. You know, when people lose their moms, they grieve a very long time. A very long time.

So you grieve as long as you need to be gentle with yourself, patient with yourself. Because this is a hard thing to feel. Like you straight up told your mama, hey, this man isn't who you think he is. And she said, how about there's a box for my business and a box for yours and never the twain shall meet. Like, okay, bitch, fine, fine, bitch, you. You got it. That's hurtful, of course. But yeah, be patient with yourself because this is a hard thing you're going through.

I stumbled upon using Chat GPT, like a therapy session by accident, and I didn't even know you could use it that way at first, but it's surprisingly been useful for sorting through my thoughts and feelings. It might sound wild, but it's low key. Been therapeutic in a way I didn't expect. I get to express myself, vent, reflect and talk through things without the usual pressure of sitting in a formal therapy therapy session. It's like having a space to unload with no judgment, which I didn't even realize I needed. Now, I want to be clear. I know traditional human therapy is important and not something chat GPT can replace. This is just something that's helped me between sessions. I'm curious if it could work for others who aren't ready or able to access therapy yet. Do y'all think AI like chat GPT can be a real tool for people who can't access therapy or aren't ready to dive into that yet? Like, it's impressive just conceptually how far, you know, we were beating rocks together for fire at one point. So, fine, whatever. But, yeah, I think. Okay, so something stood out to me, which is that you said, you know, this is something that kind of helps you out in between sessions in that regard. Although I've never used AI for therapy or even thought to in that regard. I don't see how it could be harmful unless you start to. Unless it starts to shift the way that you engage with actual therapy. If it's something where it's like, okay, you're having real talk therapy or whatever form of therapy, and it's just something like you use ChatGPT or some other kind of AI tool for advice or sorting out feelings in between, and you leave that as that, then I don't really know necessarily how harmful that could be. Could just be another form of therapy, I guess, depending on how. Again, I've never engaged with AI in that way to have a good enough idea of how that all even works. I do know, and I was looking up in My library right now because I can't remember the name of it, but there's a video game that I downloaded that's almost like this, but it's not AI. And I want to say it's called like something like not kind letters or kind words or something where basically it's like, it's set online and it's very cute, like Cozy Grove kind of looking thing. And you go in your little apartment and you'll write something like your feelings. Like, let's say, you know, oh, I. I had to stop speaking to my mother because she really, really hurt me and I don't know what to do. And you like, write a little letter and it goes out into like this Internet cloud or whatever and it's anonymous and people can basically respond to it. And it's. I don't remember how, but it is curated. Like, you can't just say anything you want, but basically people will send you back anonymous. Words of encouragement, affirmation, maybe advice. I'm like oversimplifying it and making it sound awful. But anyway, all that to say that there are other things that aren't AI that can sort of fill in that gap. Because my only hesitation with AI for this and our reliance on it is the way that it seemingly can morph our thinking and intent. I think that a lot of us are getting a little too comfortable and reliant on it for. For certain things that we really should be looking to other people for.

So this is something that Came up in my grad program that we talked about actually quite a bit. And I want to say, Chad GPT only knows what it has been programmed to know. So, yes, if you say chatgpt, my boyfriend, I just got my boyfriend cheating on me for the third time. What should I do? It's going to come through based off these keywords. Comb through some things and then, like the word salad, basically, and then feed you back something that sounds warm and generous and supportive of you. And you deserve someone who's going to treat you well. Perhaps you could choose. You should consider breaking up with this person. You know it's going to be something like that. However.

If you've ever used Chat GPT, you know that sometimes, even when you ask it very direct questions that have an obvious answer, it will give you a lie or something incorrect.

It's unsupervised, it's unregulated. It. I would trust it even less than Reddit because at least Reddit posts are tagged when they're written by a bot.

I would trust it even less than ready. But you can get, like, how can I manage symptoms of a panic attack, what are some signs of depression? Stuff like that. Easy, you can Google that. Yes, but the children use Chat GPT as if it is Google. They use TikTok the same way.

That's where. That's how they learn to do things. Instead of Googling, like, how do I hang up a painting? They Type that into TikTok and a video of somebody who shows you how to hang painting shows up.

And even if you have the money for it, it can take time to find the right therapist for you. But again, it. It summarizes and feeds you back information. It can't tell you what is actually best for you because it doesn't know you and it can't take into context anything else that's going on.

And you can manipulate ChatGPT into telling you whatever you want it to because you're giving it only your side, only your perspective. And so you can frame things to Chat GPT and be like, my man does this. My girlfriend does that. My mama, my daddy. Why? Why? My best friend. And Chat GPT isn't going to do nothing but support you. Whereas a therapist will hear all this and support you and also bring into your awareness the ways you're perpetuating harm or the ways you're doing something wrong, betraying others or betraying yourself.

Also, I can't help but think that, like, with ChatGPT is like. It's also like, you use a certain turn of phrase and it's just. Just like, I had to leave my boyfriend because he told me he wasn't with his ex. I know. That's captain. ChatGPT is like, your closest hat store is on La Brea Avenue. It's a lid. You can purchase one for your boyfriend. I don't know how big his head.

Is, but, like, therapists aren't supposed to, you know, give advice. A lot of you. Oh, God, this is. I love this case.

Y'all want your therapist to tell you what to do so you can blame her if your life goes wrong. But no, therapy is not supposed to be us telling you what to do. This is what's wrong with you. Therapy for a lot of you is supposed to take a long time because you are going in and undoing some deeply held beliefs that you've had for a long time. And especially if you were traumatized at an early age or traumatized repeatedly, it's going to take that much more work to reconfigure your thought processes. It's not impossible. Neuroplasticity is real. You can heal, but it takes longer for some people than others. Y'all want chatgpt because you think it's the elevator to being healed. But Jennifer Lewis told us there ain't no elevator.

But you, I would be extremely interested in seeing how some of you who have started this, this therapy relationship with Chat GPT where you are 1, 3, 5, 10 years from now, because Chat GPT isn't curious about you. You tell CHAT GPT that you're mad at your girlfriend. It's not gonna say, tell me about your girlfriend. When did you guys meet? What was that like? That question alone can reveal so much to me about your relationship and the patterns that you and your partner are in. Chat GPT, is it curious about you or your life? It's trying to spit answers at you. It's not trying to understand and help you in a real way.

And I feel like that's kind of what people expect out of their therapist, that they're gonna go and sit down in this little room that smells like fresh baked cookies. And this person is gonna be like, oh, well, all you have to do is go and do this. And if you would just do this, you'll save the world. Good luck. And that's not how therapy it isn't. They kind of look at the cards in your Hand and kind of like help you sort them out in front of you and analyze them, if anything, and figure out how best to, like, keep them in front of you.

So that when they're not around, you know how to move them. You know, it's not like they. They just kind of help you unpack and unravel and untangle.

I'm trying to let you know that it does have very real limitations. And you can get the same sort of help from following. Not even just therapists. Therapy meme accounts on social media can give you this same help.

I just want y'all to know where ChatGPT it could take you, but so far. And that's really. It's like your porch is how far it can take you. It's not.

You don't have the patience to really sit with yourself and how hard this is and how much it hurts. And that's what a therapist is supposed to help you with. But if. But I do know also that if you. If you get too deep, chatbots will say, perhaps you should talk to a therapist.

A lot like things we've seen in the Witcher franchise, Skyrim, other stuff like that. Endless possibilities. Physics based. This quest. And da da da and web, all of that. Beautiful. They impressed me out the gate because I'm like, if they're gonna do a sequel for this, the map is so huge and so prominent. How would they like. I wouldn't want it to be. It needs to be Hyrule. And they were like, yeah, it's gonna be pretty much the same map but a different time. And with a whole world in the sky and a whole world underneath. That was enough to make a standout sequel. They were also like, you know what makes millions of dollars a day because of 7 year olds? Fortnite. So let's make a mechanic. A needless fucking mechanic. And one of the most highly anticipated video games of all time. Where you take wood and you attach it to a stone and then you find a battery and you attach to that and you make a jet. Why? Who cares? But you have to for everything. You have to glue this piece of wood to that stone, to that waterfall so that it can open a door. I hate it. I hate it. I fucking hate it. We didn't need to be here in the first place. The Legend of Zelda was always about this little speechless nigga named Link who goes around to a bunch of dungeons and get. It was just the hero's journey. He goes, gets mother's milk and the. The goat's eye and the magic Sword and whatever. And then vanquishes the bad guy and saves the princess dungeons. That's it. That's kind of how it was. And eventually it grew. It evolved into like, oh, the dungeons are bigger. And the themed. This one's like ice and fire and whatever. That was it. And it turned it into this whole other experience that was very, very fun and very refreshing. And then they were like, what if you also could build a Prius? I don't care. I don't want to do. What is this? Get. It's like, why is there Hulu in my Disney. I don't understand what the fuck we're doing here. Nintendo. I hate that game. Inexcusable. Inexcusable. I couldn't even finish it. And I don't think I will.

It also has a weird mechanic in it where you make shit. But it's refreshing. It's more. It's like, very suiting for the Zelda character. It's easier to use. And the game itself is very much more reminiscent of old school Zelda. It's cute, but it just works. At least I can say that I'm enjoying something in the franchise. Recently, I wanted to like Tears of the Kingdom. I fought tooth and nail.

To really enjoy that game, but I hate it. And I will also say before I finish this, Ubisoft Assassin's Creed Shadows is in excusable. I brought my black ass onto this very podcast and platform, and I defended you niggas because you had the audacity to feature a black samurai as a playable character in this video game. And niggas, including black folk, had an issue with that for some reason. Even though the black man is based on a real nigga in Japan. Oh, he was a retainer. He wasn't a real samurai. The fucking franchise is about secret organizations that are fighting over ancient superpowered artifacts. And you can ride a sea dragon who gives a fuck if the samurai was really black or not? Black samurai. Who gives a shit? Who care? I. And everything I said about that remains true today. What is inexcusable is that game story pacing in the first, like, three or four hours that I played. The fact that that black character that I defended is absolutely pointless, at least as far as I got up to. I mean, like, I actually didn't really get into where he was reintroduced into the. He was in the prologue, then disappeared. And the pacing for the other character was absolute garbage. On top of a. An origin story that is so redundant, it's almost racist. Like, really, she's just avenging her father's death. That's the Japanese girl story. Cool. But I'm not even gonna get into the story and how bad that is. Y'all have made too much money and have made too many Assassin's Creed games. A franchise that was made iconic and popularized for the parkour element of the player characters, mobility, the fact that they would climb buildings and jump across rooftops like one of these white people on YouTube, that was whole. Like, that was the style of the game. 25 games later, it makes no sense that these characters still can't jump over a fence. I don't understand what y'all are doing. I do know that every Ubisoft game that y'all have released in the past 10 years at launch comes with, like 15 DLC packs or little cosmetic packs, extra packs that you want us to pay another $40 or buy some, you know, digital currency to go and buy, you know, get this outfit or that outfit, or, you know, pay to get extra experience. Every Ubisoft, not just Assassin's Creed, every Ubisoft game does this. So I know that y'all have the coin. Why is it that my assassin can't jump over a basic fence? Why can they not recognize that that's a rock? Like, I don't. What is this video game? Inexcusable. You. Tears of the kingdom, Heads on the block. Chop chop. No forgiveness. Moving forward, I will never play another Assassin's Creed game. And that is what you can know tonight. Now, Nintendo and Zelda, that's quite different. I can forgive this one. But it was the longest we've ever been apart. We've known it was three and a half days.
