Crystal
And I am Cheryl Miller. This is the read. Thanks for coming back.
Kid Fury
It is indeed. Here we are in March, almost April. It is incredible how fast time flies. And hopefully four years flies really, really quickly.
Crystal
Amen.
Kid Fury
Like, quicker than ever.
Crystal
Agreed.
Kid Fury
My God. All right, let's get started with some black excellence. Beginning with Billboard's 2025 Mother of the Year 1, Tina Knowles, Mother of Dragons. She will be honored as the first ever Mother of the Year at this year's Billboard's Women in Music. And it will take place at the YouTube Theater on March 29th. The YouTube Theater, which I'm certain I've been to, but cannot remember which theater. Exact. That one is because everything's named after something. Why do I feel like. No, what's the PlayStation Theater called now? I was so excited because there was one theater right in Times Square. Oh, and that was something else.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
And then for a second, I feel like it was called the PlayStation Theater, like the Sony Theater or something. And then they changed it again. Oh, this is the YouTube Theater. Now is the YouTube Theater in New York.
Crystal
It's the Palladium. It's called the Palladium now. Oh, wait. Okay, hold on. No, this is something. No, never mind that it is that it. Maybe, but I know what you mean because it was the Best Buy Theater and then it was PlayStation Theater. Yes. I think the naming rights for these venues just expire every now and then. It's whoever has the money, so.
Kid Fury
Yeah, but YouTube I'm not.
Crystal
Congratulations.
Kid Fury
I know. I know of that theater. I just don't remember which one it is or where, but awesome. Congratulations, Ms. Tina. I know she also has a book titled Matriarch that is releasing this year as well, which is exciting and also, you know, duh. We're fans, and we got to meet her and take photographs with her, and she did our hair and you bonded. It was.
Crystal
We did. It was really great. It was so nice to meet her and just listening to her talk. I'm hoping more of those fun little anecdotes are in this book, because she is just. I mean, the brief amount of time we spent together, very warm and just big auntie energy. Big, big auntie, like, you know, this lady already type of energy.
Kid Fury
Just have known her your whole life. Your whole life.
Crystal
Your whole life. She used to whoop you.
Kid Fury
She's happy to see you. She wants to know if you've done your homework. How's school going? Yep.
Crystal
Do you have a boyfriend?
Kid Fury
Okay.
Crystal
All that.
Kid Fury
Okay. Well, you know, make sure you prioritize what matters and save your money. Like, she's just.
Crystal
Yeah. Really great. Really great. So congratulations. This. This definitely feels like an award we came up with just to give it to Ms. Tina, but mother of the Year.
Kid Fury
Yeah, it kind of does.
Crystal
Because why would there be a category at Billboard?
Kid Fury
Women in the Billboard Women in Music. Yeah.
Crystal
They were like.
Kid Fury
But actually, why not Beyonce? Because lots of women in music are. Mom.
Crystal
Beyonce and Solange are so great. How can we award them again without awarding them directly? It's like, let's just give it to a mama and that's it.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
So.
Kid Fury
But, I mean, I do. Yeah. Women in music a lot. If the whole thing is honoring women, I guess lots of them are moms. Why not? I don't know. That's.
Crystal
There's a book coming out. And the publicists and agents and such began to.
Kid Fury
How do we give Ms. Tina.
Crystal
In a way. How can we do that?
Kid Fury
We want her to come.
Crystal
Yes. Yes, they are. Because this tour is already looking to be like, a celebrity event. How is Michelle Obama Star Spangled? Not Star Spangled. A Star Spangled Book tour with Michelle Obama at the fucking Kennedy Center. Like, bitch, you coming out the gate like that. Okay. All right.
Kid Fury
I love Michelle Obama.
Crystal
Yes. Me, too. I saw her on Kylie Kelce's podcast. That's what you saw, too? You know who Kylie Kelce is? I'm shocked. That's amazing. So anyway, yeah, she's. She's another one who seems like, you know, there There was a certain image that had to be portrayed when she was. Her husband was in the White House. And so she's also there her kids. And now she like, girl, none of that is my business. I'm not running. Don't ask. I'm just here to talk about my experiences and what it's like being a mom, being tall. Me and. Me and Kylie for the bond. Yeah, it was.
Kid Fury
She's fully. Just like, I'm a black lady mom now. Get out of my face.
Crystal
And they're grown. Talking about coming over to my house, stealing all my groceries, my good wine and shit.
Kid Fury
Right. I love this for her. Yeah, Love it.
Crystal
It's fun.
Kid Fury
Love it. Still inspiring. Still, like you said, little anecdotes and little. Do you think you just fell out of coconut tree. Like little.
Crystal
Right. Little sayings. Yeah. Mom and dad.
Kid Fury
Other than that, I mean even that one.
Crystal
Which one?
Kid Fury
Kamala was like, oh, popular vote. Fine. Connect four in her alma mater hoodie with the babies, the nieces and nephews and stuff. Like, girl, anyway, just fine.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
Also Black Eyed Clinton is going to go to one. Denzel Washington, star of Othello on Broadway, which has now made history as the top grossing play of all time. Out of all of the plays.
Crystal
Yeah, there's a lot. There's a lot.
Kid Fury
Out of all of the plays. This play, Othello starring Broadway, which just opened up, has broken the record previously held by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Crystal
My goodness.
Kid Fury
It generated US$2.8 million with eight preview performances alone. Denzel first started as Othello in college at Fordham University when he was 22 years old. So this is a bit of a circular moment for him, but it was also a star spangled affair. Joe Biden was present.
Crystal
Wow. Holy shit.
Kid Fury
Kandi Barriss now has an usy with Joe Biden and his wife Candy. Apparently she's a co producer. Yeah.
Crystal
So shout out to Candy's like, let.
Kid Fury
Me tell you something.
Crystal
Big money.
Kid Fury
I'm getting paid big money. I don't care what you are talking about, what you are singing about. None of that matters what you are lying about. I'm getting paid.
Crystal
Yes. So like correct, correct, correct.
Kid Fury
Work. But yeah, I am very excited about this news. Just because work, Denzel. I'm also enjoying unk, I guess, as the kids, whatever. I'm enjoying Denzel also being in this era of his career where he is celebrated, still amazing at what he does, still very handsome and charming, but also in the energy of like, let me tell you something, I paid my dues. And I don't give a fuck.
Crystal
I could turn everything down if I want to.
Kid Fury
Shit. What the fuck? I want to. Girl. He can't. He was doing an interview for a whole other movie like Gladiator 2 or something and was like, oh, yeah, me and Ryan Coogler talk about Black Panther 3. That's going to be T. And Marvel was like, Marvel Studios was like, yeah, that isn't life exciting and possibilities like, what you gonna do about it? Or say, bitch, that better be in that motherfucking movie she talking about. Anyway, on top of that, obviously black people in Broadway and excelling at it and putting up the numbers is also really, really excellent and exciting. And I don't believe this is a musical either. So people are just going out to watch.
Crystal
It is not. This is a play.
Kid Fury
Yeah, that's right. Old fashioned, that one thing there.
Crystal
Yep.
Kid Fury
Are you gonna go see it?
Crystal
Have you seen it? Literally, literally. Made a note to put the Othello because I just saw the link when I googled the article. I'm like, let me go ahead and save this here little linksy poo, because I will be going to see this. And I saw Jake Gyllenhaal is in it too. So, you know. Yeah, yeah, Jake Gyllenhaal is also starring in this. So they really. I know Kandy wants that Tony real, real bad. And it's like, girl, you done. You done set yourself up. You have really set yourself up for one.
Kid Fury
So, yeah, it's in there because is good.
Crystal
Are you doing the where's the cheese? It's under the sauce thing.
Kid Fury
No.
Crystal
Okay, never mind. Anyway, yes, definitely going to see this because it's not going to be playing forever. Denzel's like, I'm old. You get three months and then I'm going back home. So.
Kid Fury
Yeah, and then they'll replace him with somebody else like us.
Crystal
But I'll make sure to. To carry my ass on down to Broadway while he's here.
Kid Fury
Yeah. Iconic.
Crystal
Yeah. Got to. Got to.
Kid Fury
Okay, that's gonna be it for black excellence this week. We're going to get started in our pop culture, talk all about it, whatever I want. Segment called the Hot Box. Speaking of Othello and someone we recently dragged, Sherri Shepherd. She was apparently also there.
Crystal
Okay. At the premiere. Go for her.
Kid Fury
She was there opening night for Othello. Apparently there was some sort of an incident where she and another celebrity who was there got into it. Now, the reason we know about this is because Sherri shepherd has a television show and she Went on that show and talks about it. She addressed the incident in the person calling them, quote, an unnamed celebrity and alleged that this person grabbed them, grabbed her by the arm while she was having a separate conversation and like, thrust her around and confronted her about shading them on her talk show.
Crystal
Was it Megan?
Kid Fury
Apparently the mystery unnamed celebrity was supposedly outed to be Nia Long.
Crystal
Now why did I think it. Oh, because she just came from Megan. Duh. So why would Megan be that girl? Okay, wait, so. So Nia Long was on the red carpet with Sherri shepherd and hemmed her up and was like, bitch.
Kid Fury
Not necessarily the red carpet, but it was, I think maybe after the show or intermission or something. Okay, yeah, she was. She said that she was having conversation. Supposedly Nia Long grabbed her by her arm, turned her around and confronted her about being shady. She said that she responded to her and was like, I haven't been shady. And Nia said, yes, you have, and then walked off. She said that she then waited for Nia in the bathroom during intermission but didn't see her again. So she decided to bring it up on the show, saying, I would say to unnamed celebrity because we've known each other a long time, come sit on my couch so we can talk about it. That was left there. Nia Long since has posted a. A selfie of herself. A selfie of. As opposed to a selfie of someone else.
Crystal
Right. Stupid.
Kid Fury
Posted a selfie with the caption about last night. She looks gorgeous. Obviously she's new long and a little kissy face. And that's it. It's from the night of the event. So there you have it. Like, I don't know what else we're supposed to do that. I guess Sherry said that she was really mad about it, which I.
Crystal
Why was she waiting in the bathroom? Did Nia say, meet me in the bathroom? Why did you do that?
Kid Fury
Yeah, that part I didn't particularly understand. Okay, okay, that's fine. But okay. I don't partake in Sheri's show to know whether or not she has truly been shady towards me.
Crystal
Right. Same, same.
Kid Fury
So I can't comment on that. I actually don't even partake in the show enough to know if she's shady in general to other celebrities. If it were Wendy, I would have no doubt about her.
Crystal
Right. I actually don't know what kind of show you have over there.
Kid Fury
I have no idea because I don't watch.
Crystal
I only watch interview clips when something that usually pisses me off comes across my timeline. I'M like, let me go watch the whole thing for context.
Kid Fury
Otherwise, no one shares anything else.
Crystal
I. I mean, I just did that with the Jonathan Majors thing. When you brought up Sherry Shepherd, I thought you was going to talk about that. She just had Jonathan Majors.
Kid Fury
Oh, she had him on his.
Crystal
Just had. Yes, it was like his first.
Kid Fury
Oh, his movie just came out.
Crystal
He's got a movie coming out. Yes, but he was. God, you know how she is. She's just so. God, she's just so, like, fraudulent. Gen X. Just do whatever you can to. To fall all over these men and take care of these men and all this. So it was very like, he came in, man, holdy.
Kid Fury
You know, the community loves you, and we, the Black Women Society of Peach Cobbler, we are here.
Crystal
Like, she literally did at one point bring up the fact that a lot of women of color still want to see him succeed. Now, mind you, the audience is full of, like, aunties and then a scattering of homosexuals. So it's a bunch of people who are ready to clap and cheer for Jonathan Majors anyway. No shade, right? But she was like, yeah, you know, I. I just want to know how you were feeling when you were going through all that and how you felt after the audio came out from 2022 talking about being aggressed. But it was just basically, like, a lot of emotional hand holding. Like, you're, you know, you're just a good boy, and we want to see you succeed. And then she was talking about the movie and how, you know, her son is a black man going through this world. And so she wants her son to see himself in Jonathan Major's portrayal of this character. And this is, you know, over here calling her ma'am, and she's like, don't do that. Call me Sherry. So she's like one of them people where you're like, you're 23 years older than me. I'm gonna call you ma'am. Like, you're a ma'am? What you mean, call you Sherry? We're not peers. But anyway, he started. And, you know, when he's. When he was like, you know, I just can't help but say ma'am, which I do think is sincere. He's from Dallas. He probably legit grew up saying that.
Kid Fury
But he also just got free.
Crystal
All bitches eat that shit up.
Kid Fury
Yeah, they do. I mean, it's true.
Crystal
Even just the pretense of, like, Southern manners and respectability. They like, see, that's a good boy. That's like. That's just a good man, that's a good black man. Sherry was like, how. What can you say about this audio that just came out where you talk about aggressing your ex? And he said, God has a plan.
Kid Fury
Yes, he did. No, he didn't. That's not what he said.
Crystal
I sat there and watched the whole fucking segment with Jonathan Majors. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Yes, it did. Yes, he did. He did an interview with the Hollywood Reporter talking about how this is sad, but he had been, you know, abused as a child by men and women. And so like, you know, he finally told his mama about it and assembled this Avengers team worth of like the best therapists, best doctors. I actually don't have too much bad to say about his responses other than that God has a plan, because that was quite hilarious. He burst, of course. He. Sherry was like, you know, I just checked the news and it looks like you got married yesterday. So he's like twirling his ring around and busted out crying, talking about how much he loved Megan and she's been this rock and blah, blah, blah. I. So I say all that to say Sherry got on my nerves in that interview as well, because it's like, yeah, she was like, there's so many places you could have gone, but you came here. He went to Sherry because who the else was gonna hold him in a. In a proverbial mammy titty and make him feel comforted and safe and hold his hand and baby him through these questions?
Kid Fury
With all due respect, which is not.
Crystal
So little.
Kid Fury
Sherry, you could have all gone all. He's not Kang anymore. The movie's co produced by Zeus. Like, he's gone anywhere.
Crystal
I don't think so. I don't think Kelly Clarkson would have took this interview. I don't.
Kid Fury
Sweet. I think you took it. He's going where he can go, right?
Crystal
Jennifer Hudson might not even take it. Well, I don't know. We'll see. But I. Yeah, J. I don't have any problem because he was.
Kid Fury
Bitch. That fucking that self help choir line, hallway.
Crystal
Don't do the hallway process.
Kid Fury
No, I love it. I love it. I'm saying that alone is gonna shut that down because how are they supposed.
Crystal
To do it, right? Oh, they. You know, when people who aren't that famous come, they just don't do the hallway. So they might just not do that. Oh, they don't do it for everybody.
Kid Fury
Well, okay. No shade. I've seen some people get hallway worship where I've been like, oh, they must do it for all the guests. I'm not gonna name anybody's name.
Crystal
Well, I think I'm not gonna name anyone's name. You have to be somewhat notable. And you will notice most of the time it is when it's the really famous people. That hallway is packed.
Kid Fury
But, girl, we don't have to talk about it.
Crystal
It's fewer. We don't have to talk about it.
Kid Fury
We don't have to talk about it.
Crystal
Actually, I feel like if I was going on Jennifer's show, I would be so full of anxiety of like, am I getting a hallway? Is it gonna be everybody or niggas gonna be Crystal? Who?
Kid Fury
That's another reason why I.
Crystal
Anyway, when Sheri asked him, you know, how are you feeling when you were going through, like, the trial and all this? He was like, you know, I was just feeling like, you know, we talk so much about being at war, and now I'm really at war. And, you know, we read about trials and tribulations in the Bible and it's different when you going through it. Like, I'm really. I'm in it now. I'm in the trials and the tribulations. And it's been a healing journey and it's been accountability and growth, and I just feel different and blah, blah. Like, I'm not. I'm really not even opposed to all that. My only issue is like, yes, you fuck up, you pay the price. You assuming that you're telling the truth about going to therapy, healing and all that, all that's great if it's true. It just does not entitle you to be a famous movie star. It doesn't entitle you to be in blockbuster films. That's all. Like, should you be able to work? Yes, but work in this specific industry, not really. You should be able to get a job. A job?
Kid Fury
Yeah. Not this year, which he has done. He's been able to maintain a job. He's been able to maintain funding, support a team. And to your point right now, which I think is the one part that is. All of. It's a privilege, but really visibility, you know, like, he is still working as an actor, but he is also having people like Sherry shepherd be like, welcome back. And you should have never gone nowhere. And aren't you just the perfect example of black men? And I want my son to be just like you. And it's like, girl, okay, yeah, pay the price. Stand up in it. And if acting is your passion, you should be permitted to act. But it doesn't mean that you.
Crystal
You're not number one on the Call sheet for Mar Vell no more. And that's fine.
Kid Fury
And that's just gonna I guess have to be how the cookie crumbles.
Crystal
Consequences.
Kid Fury
We don't have to make nonsense, right?
Crystal
Keep your hands to yourself. Go to community theater and get a. A regular 9 to 5 like every other actor who doesn't get the opportunity to be in giant blockbusters.
Kid Fury
And like Jessie Wu and many other people have pointed out hilariously, if the roles were reversed, girl, the whole audience would be spitting on you like black. Black girlies and femmes don't get no chances.
Crystal
You don't get to mess up.
Kid Fury
Chrisann. Michelle won one Basquiat skirt and that was the end.
Crystal
It was a wrap.
Kid Fury
Haven't heard of her. I regret nothing.
Crystal
She's doing shows which is, you know, it is what it is. No shame in it. A check is a check.
Kid Fury
Look what she said. Singing.
Crystal
That's what you still singing?
Kid Fury
Still singing music.
Crystal
You still singing. Just not for me somewhere I'm not listening for somebody. The people who still want to Hear it all 20 of them are at your show. They there the people. And the thing about Jonathan Majors being violent with women is so not an issue that if this movie does well, expect to see him right back in the spotlight.
Kid Fury
Yeah, yeah. It's already like. I don't think it will. It doesn't look very good but.
Crystal
I.
Kid Fury
Mean he's an excellent actor. So you know what I mean. But it doesn't.
Crystal
I'm not even talent.
Kid Fury
All of that. All of the violence and the case and stuff aside, this doesn't seem like a movie I would have been in hurry to see anyway. And then the reviews I've read don't seem great. But yeah. All that to say. I just think that it is sort of interesting. Yeah. To your point. Violence against women, especially when the attacker or the one who's engaging in the violence is like an able bodied male who is making money for votes. It's just like well, I mean is it so does she have to be there at that time wearing that and being unconscious? You know what I mean? Like that.
Crystal
Yeah. Isn't it really her fault for talking back?
Kid Fury
Cause I've even.
Crystal
That's what it's gonna turn into.
Kid Fury
No, seriously. And it's like ugh. I even read all of the. Oh the rumors that he'll be in Avengers, Doomsday, Michael B. Jordan wants to make pretty Thor and Da da da da. All this other stuff and it almost seems like the. From the things I've read and stuff over the past couple of weeks it almost seems like the industry is kind of waiting to see how this movie performs and how I think specifically niggas.
Crystal
Well expect to see plenty of black women. Plenty of black women are going to go see this palenty.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Probably even more than black men. Black men. Because black women love black men. It do not matter what they do to us or to other women. It simply do not matter. We love and support them niggas. We gonna hold them down no matter what.
Kid Fury
Well, in, in fairness, I think black.
Crystal
Women simply love to their own detriment.
Kid Fury
Yeah. Often I'm speaking about us as a group.
Crystal
I am not one of you bitches, but I'm speaking about us as a collective as especially the older ones such as myself. These old bitches are deeply attached to these men and they not letting them go. They don't give a fuck how many women he beat. That don't matter. That don't matter. Did you talk to Jesus about it? All right, if Jesus forgave, then so can I. That's dead ass. They thought process. So.
Kid Fury
But like all right, Jesus forgive. Like we don't really know.
Crystal
That's what the whole interview. I'm like, if you actually did these things, if you're being sincere, then this is great. But you're such a good actor that I can't call it based off your reaction because you got teary eyed. You're supposed to be able to do that because you got emotional talking about your wife. Okay. Again, you're an actor. I have no idea what's real and what's not. And I don't know you personally. So I have no idea if you've changed or grown up. I also don't care. I'm not going to see this, this Zeus ass movie. I don't give a.
Kid Fury
So I honestly think he's just weird. Like I don't, I don't care or have any interest in like analyzing it further than that. I don't know how much because some part of it, especially after that in N out high school, oh my God.
Crystal
That was so fucking.
Kid Fury
I was like, okay, so what's going on? Like what is going on? I think it's just kind of weird. But I also just don't. I'm not interested. And then Sherri shepherd is just.
Crystal
I said not you again.
Kid Fury
Endlessly aggravated.
Crystal
Not you again. So Megan, thee stallion was a problem and somebody who needs to be confronted being a fad role model and all this shit. But you want your teenage son to see himself in this really? That made sense to you in your mind, are you worried about Nia Long?
Kid Fury
A movie about a tweaked out bodybuilder. Not to say that it won't have depth and nuance and all these other.
Crystal
Things, but like, all right, she's crying.
Kid Fury
She's starting to cry. But like, oh, God, Megan's pasties on her grown adult titties that are hers.
Crystal
True.
Kid Fury
At a private event, that's when we need to start discussing the effects of these people and who can be a.
Crystal
Role model when you're famous, you're just a role model. What happened to that?
Kid Fury
But this motherfucker, literally, you asked him about this audio where he admits to being an aggressor, and his response was, God has a plan, and you're just teary eyed and ooh, the children should be looking at myself.
Crystal
That's right. God do have a plan. One thing about God, he be planning.
Kid Fury
Okay, that makes sense to you?
Crystal
It did.
Kid Fury
Like a week and a half apart. These. These opinions.
Crystal
It did. It did.
Kid Fury
What a dumbass.
Crystal
So I don't.
Kid Fury
Nia should have spit at your feet. I don't give a fuck.
Crystal
It would be so funny if Nia got her confused with somebody else and was like, oh, that is actually my bad, girly pop bitch, I would die.
Kid Fury
Wait, you mean that wasn't Charlamagne? I thought that. Oh, God damn it, Spencer.
Crystal
Oh, my God.
Kid Fury
I could have sworn.
Crystal
I am so sorry. Who? I play too much girl. That's my bad. Oh, well, yeah.
Kid Fury
Furthermore, if you've known them for such a long time and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, then why not have a private conversation about, like, why be like. Because I've known you and da, da, da. Come sit on my couch so we can talk about it? If I'm accusing you of shading me on that couch, why the fuck would I put dollars in your pocket by coming to sit on this couch and talk about some shit that you pissed me off? And if we've known each other for such a long time, why did I have to see you at a premiere or opening night to address it? And why do you have to camp out in a fucking bathroom like you're playing hitman? Waiting for me?
Crystal
I told you that I was gonna meet you in the bathroom. Where did that come from?
Kid Fury
What the fuck are you talking about?
Crystal
Did I say meet me in the bathroom so I could run to Faye? Like, why did you?
Kid Fury
No. Cause you would have brought that part up.
Crystal
Right? You would have brought that part up. But it's Interesting, because I found this story. And so she says that she. That Nia said, you've been shading me a lot. And Sherry's like, no, I haven't. And he says, yes, you have. And then she walked off.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
And so Sherry's like, you know, I know good and damn well. Like, I don't do that. And when something scandalous happened about you, I talked about on the show, and I was on your side, obviously, when her husband was found to be like, when email, she was like, good for you leaving that man. Take care of your baby. So, but just. But what I'm noticing reading this is that Nia didn't say, you've been talking shit about me on your show. She said, you've been shading me, period. So maybe you've been running your mouth about Nia long off camera in real life to other people. Y'all have mutual friends. And it got back to her. It wasn't that. You know, I don't know why you assumed that that meant you did it on the show. But, yeah, if. If I approach you in person about shit I've been hearing about you, and you say, come on my show, can we. So we can talk about it? Bitch, why would I give you the pleasure or the dollars in what? Why would I do that? You give me $3 million and I'll come sit on your polyester couch, Right? You can be fucked up. The fuck do you mean, weirdo? One of the most important ways that we can express our individuality and our style is through our clothing choices. Over at True Religion, those good people really believe that you should own your true. It inspires you to live in confidence, unfiltered and unapologetic. Kid Fury
Lizzo is going to be playing the role of sister Rosetta Tharp, the queen slash godmother of rock as well as.
Crystal
Role.
Kid Fury
Influencing folks like Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, Lil Richard and obviously Elvis. She's one of the pioneers of rock and roll music.
Crystal
She truly is.
Kid Fury
And help popularize and pioneer the sound as well as the relevance of the guitar. Electric and otherw. Hmm. Yeah, it's gonna be an exciting. This is Amazon, MGM Studios. Amazon makes things. I'm just here to tell you, like Amazon and Apple, they do. They're over there making the stuff. They are like those people with their huge amounts of dollars that they have had since before streaming. They're putting it in there. It's in the sauce. It's under the cheese.
Crystal
It's in the sauce. Okay, yes. Whatever you talk about, I can't believe you haven't seen it, but it's like a sound on TikTok. Yeah.
Kid Fury
I haven't seen anything.
Crystal
This makes sense though. Lizzo as Rosetta Tharp. It's like I see it. I think the appreciation for her as a cultural and. And musical icon and you know, physical similarities and all that. I think this has the. The opportunity to really be good. So yeah, good for her. I'm glad to hear.
Kid Fury
I haven't seen. Let me pull it up. I haven't seen who's producing or writing and that stuff is kind of a lot more relevant to me now that I more familiar with some of these people. But either way I'm excited.
Crystal
Your friends?
Kid Fury
Not friends, but just like I study a lot more than I did when I was a kid, so. But I still don't even see a name past just the Amazon is producing part. But it's probably on Variety or something. I'll look for it later. There isn't a release date yet. But yeah, it is. Hopefully it'll be exciting. I'm trying to think of what I've seen Lizzo act in because I know she's acted.
Crystal
Has she?
Kid Fury
I feel like I've seen her in a scripted role before, but I can't think of what it was. I don't. This probably. This is more than likely to be her biggest role ever.
Crystal
I'm sure, I'm sure.
Kid Fury
But I don't think it's like her first time on in something scripted. I just can't think of what I've seen her do. The only thing that's coming to mind right now is Barbie.
Crystal
But she was in the Mandalorian.
Kid Fury
Oh, that's right. She was in the Mandalorian. That's what I'm thinking about. That was really fun.
Crystal
She did voice acting for the.
Kid Fury
That was really small. Yeah, I saw that too.
Crystal
Okay. Oh yeah, she was in Hustlers. That was just for a minute.
Kid Fury
Oh, I never saw that one. I heard it was good though.
Crystal
It was cute. Better than I thought it would be.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Okay.
Kid Fury
Well.
Crystal
Yeah, good. I. I see this for her. I do.
Kid Fury
Yeah, me too. I think I'm want to wrap it there because I don't really work care about a lot of this other stuff. I will just piggyback off of, you know, for my own thoughts and opinions. Piggyback off of what? I was just saying in terms of films and stuff. And my thought just left.
Crystal
Okay.
Kid Fury
My thought just. Oh no. What I was saying about TV and Amazon and Apple and stuff. Severance is her.
Crystal
Very good.
Kid Fury
Not for you, but I've Heard nothing. And it's not even. Like, it's not for you. It's not super bloody, but it's not for you. But it is great, Lute. Yep. They have great films. They've got great shows. There's a new one on there called the Studio with Seth Rogen, and at first I was like, I don't care, but I think Catherine O'Hara is in it. So now I have to watch that one.
Crystal
Oh, yeah. Oh, this looks funny. Newly appointed head of a movie studio desperate for celebrity approval. This sounds hilarious.
Kid Fury
Oh, I watched. I watched two episodes of Running Point. It's funny, as I told you. It is really good. It is very good. It's very good. I have to finish that. But, like.
Crystal
I'm really. I'm ready for season two.
Kid Fury
Oh, and Kathryn Hahn is in this studio show, too. Agatha all along. So I have to watch that. We'll see what it gives. Catherine O'Hara is also going to be in the Last of us, season two, I believe, on HBO, which I'm just.
Crystal
When you said Catherine O'Hara, I did think Catherine Hahn, and then you said it again just now, and I have to remember that that is the moment from home alone.
Kid Fury
Catherine O'Hara.
Crystal
Yeah, my bad. My bad. Because I saw the Agatha all along, and I was like, oh, yeah, there she go. Catherine O'Hara. No, different girl.
Kid Fury
Different both of them, but at the.
Crystal
Same time, very funny. Like a couple of my favorite white girls to see on the screen. So, yeah, Apple has a bunch of hits. All the stream. The big streamers. Yeah.
Kid Fury
You don't watch the Last of Us, and you didn't play the game.
Crystal
No.
Kid Fury
So this means nothing to you, but Katherine O'Hara is going to be in the second season of the Last of Us, which is based around the second game. Oh, did they say who she's going to play? God damn it. Never mind.
Crystal
Oh, okay.
Kid Fury
Yes. Because at first they said they were like, oh, Catherine is going to be playing a character who didn't play, who didn't show up in the game. But, you know, we're getting to flesh her out now, and it's gonna be really exciting, but we're not gonna say who it is. Blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, okay, cool. I think she's gonna play the lead, the leader of the Seraphites, which is like this cult.
Crystal
Oh, yeah.
Kid Fury
Essentially, I know them, but she's never shown. From what I remember in the game, she, like, dies prior to whatever. She's, like, referenced a lot. But you never See her. That's how they talked about this one. But Wikipedia says she's playing Gale.
Crystal
Oh, yeah.
Kid Fury
Joel's therapist and Eugene's wife.
Crystal
Wow. That's not a conflict of interest.
Kid Fury
No, I don't think it should matter, Galen. I mean, Eugene and Joel don't work closely together enough, I guess. I don't know. Eugene is never in the game either.
Crystal
Yeah. He's only a photograph. Right?
Kid Fury
I mean, sports shorts, your way through this. And so every time.
Crystal
Every single time. Speaking of sports shorts, we could talk about March Madness if you want to. If you want to get.
Kid Fury
Of course, March is so mad all the time. And man, the NCAA and the other letters in the Alphabet are so relevant to the cause of March Madness. And really collegiate sports.
Crystal
Sure.
Kid Fury
And pro level sports and athletics in general. And what a time in March for it to be for as an athlete or as a fan. For the coming together of all of these events where so many really profound and sport like things have happened this month, including wins and losses. And that one guy who broke that record. The one.
Crystal
The one guy.
Kid Fury
Yeah, the one guy who broke that significant record and helped them win, which was really. Which is really interesting and unprecedented and unbelievable. And then there was the, the other moment.
Crystal
What the hell are you talking about? What in the hell are you talking.
Kid Fury
I'm talking about the one game in March Madness, the one that everyone's talking about.
Crystal
That would be the. That would be the. That would be the USC game from the other day. It wouldn't even be a men's game. So what are you talking about?
Kid Fury
I'm talking about the one that everyone is talking about.
Crystal
The Florida Yukon game.
Kid Fury
No, sweetheart, everyone is talking about. See, you don't know what's actually going on.
Crystal
You could just tell me that. You could just tell me which game I've been watching.
Kid Fury
So you can just tell me which game. What's known doesn't need to be said. You know what I mean?
Crystal
Yeah, but it isn't known. That's why I'm asking you to say it.
Kid Fury
Yeah, by you. Which is the issue here, you know.
Crystal
So you're the sports expert.
Kid Fury
The fact of the matter is. Yeah, but you're the alleged sports fan. And so from the fan's perspective, it's like, how much education do I have to do, if you know what I mean? Like, do I have to hold your hand? Can I not just reference the thing that is very clear, you know, you're talking about, oh, the cheese is under the sauce and the meat is in the fridge and Just expecting me to know what you're talking about? I would say not.
Crystal
Yukon, Florida game. So it's not the UConn game, is it? Is it?
Kid Fury
Is it?
Crystal
Is it?
Kid Fury
I'm asking you.
Crystal
I'm asking you.
Kid Fury
I'm asking you.
Crystal
You come.
Kid Fury
Exactly. So, as I said, this has been Sports shorts. Thank you, guys.
Crystal
So you would just be talking. What about juju Watkins? What about that?
Kid Fury
What about her? And that's one ACL that everyone is incredibly hurt about. Everyone is very. Like, I didn't want to bring it up, but here you are. Well, here you are.
Crystal
How you. You were talking about March Madness and you didn't want to bring up usc.
Kid Fury
Yeah. Something very, very hurtful. Something unfortunate that no one wants to talk about. Oh, but here we are. Thanks. Classless, inconsiderate, out of your mind, lacking tax. I didn't want to have to go there. But since you brought it up, what do you want to say about Gigi Watkins?
Crystal
So. Well, honestly, shocked you even know who she is, much less that you know she is. It's probably just been all over your Instagram. So you had no choice but to know that it happened or.
Kid Fury
I'm prepared. Up to speed. Knowledgeable.
Crystal
Oh, these are great lies. These are great lies.
Kid Fury
Absolutely ridiculous.
Crystal
Okay, so Final four men. Who. Who you. Who you got?
Kid Fury
Final four men.
Crystal
Yep. And don't. Don't you touch no computer, phone.
Kid Fury
I'm not touching any wonderful thing. Wonderful.
Crystal
Okay. Final four men. And then women.
Kid Fury
Final four men. I'm going to say nobody, because at the moment.
Crystal
Yeah, all right.
Kid Fury
With the way that patriarchy in this world is set up, I can't bring myself to openly.
Crystal
You're just saying shit. Just saying.
Kid Fury
But I'm great at it. Like, if I really wanted to shift gears and get into, like, politics or something, I would be fierce. Or like, the traitors.
Crystal
You would really have to.
Kid Fury
You know, I would lose to the trader. I would be good at the traders for, like, two weeks, and then I would forget that I'm a trader. Like, if I was a trader.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
I would forget I was a trader and just say something dumb at breakfast.
Crystal
And they'd be like, like, we're getting your podcast right out here.
Kid Fury
Do you wanna just pack?
Crystal
Just go pack now. Cause this is over. You have fucked it. Thanks.
Kid Fury
I would literally be walking in one morning, sit down for my breakfast sausage, and be like, yeah, Robin had to go because. Oh, shit.
Crystal
And then you be like, and you're next. Thank you so much. You.
Kid Fury
Wow. Thank you so much for all of that money. Goodbye.
Crystal
So nobody's making it to the Final Four in the men's. Nobody's.
Kid Fury
I don't know. I literally have no idea. I don't watch sports. Thank you.
Crystal
That's all I wanted to hear.
Kid Fury
You're welcome. Fuck. I don't know.
Crystal
Arguing me, gaslighting me.
Kid Fury
I do know that USC won the game.
Crystal
Well, they played it in which juju Watkins was injured. They played an eight seed. They. They should have still won, but I. Unfortunately, I don't see them making it to the Final Four without her.
Kid Fury
It sucks.
Crystal
It does. It really is tragic. I was. It was actually gonna be my read this week. The universe for. For allowing juju Watkins to tear her acl. Because what the.
Kid Fury
On top of it being, like, the worst. Just from a. From that individual standpoint who's passionate about the thing that they do and is doing well. And, like, this is a setback. From what I always hear. It is indescribably painful and, like, takes a minute to recover from. So it just sucks altogether. It's like, you can't play. This affects your team. And then you also have to, like, recover from something that hurts a bunch. You do, you know, hopefully get back into fighting shape so that you can play again. That blows.
Crystal
It does.
Kid Fury
And it's something that athletes put themselves, like, in the line of every freaking day.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
Jeez.
Crystal
I think they'll get past Kansas State, but just like, I think UConn will blow right past Oklahoma. Love, my girls, but I think that's as far as we're going this year. However, I think Gino, Paige. Never mind. I'm saying names. You don't know these people. I think I do, too.
Kid Fury
I just named 18 people from the last of us.
Crystal
And you're like, Yeah, I think UConn is going to. I think they're going to beat USC and.
Kid Fury
Potatoes, man.
Crystal
Yeah, it is. It's just sad that. Really. It genuinely is sad. But I'm excited to see how the rest of the tournament plays out. What did you think about. Never mind. The ruse is gone. I was about to engage with more sports shorts knowing you've already given up. You've already given up. I'm not gonna ask you about South Carolina versus Indiana. Right. Because that was something else.
Kid Fury
Yeah. I don't know what you're talking about.
Crystal
Yeah, no, I know you don't. I know you do not.
Kid Fury
So.
Crystal
Amen.
Kid Fury
Yeah. Well, that's the hot box. Let's take a break.
Crystal

Kid Fury
It's time for your letters.
Crystal
Yes, it is. Send your questions to ask the readmail.com we may read them aloud on the show. We do have an update. Remember the mom who wrote to us about her son playing an enslaved person in the school?
Kid Fury
Yes.
Crystal
So she wrote back and said, I tried to talk my Aquarius son into choosing another character, but he wasn't having it. Aquarius duty. Like that.
Kid Fury
That is so funny. Or something.
Crystal
It's Like. Right. I also voiced my concerns with his teacher, who informed me that there were various historical figures he could play throughout American history that were included and gave me the option to change the character if I could feel uncomfortable. But like I said, my son wasn't having that. He wanted to be the bear hunter.
Kid Fury
I know that's right.
Crystal
So I followed up with a couple of talks about slavery and racism. And he wrote his own speech. She included the speech. It reads, I was determined, quote, I was determined to attack grizzly bears. My name is York. I was brave because I had to do William Clark's work. I was enslaved by William Clark and he was mean to me. I was scared because he treated me mean. But I was able to do great things like hunt and practice medicine. End quote. Yay. And his costume came out great as well. Thanks for your advice. Wishing you much more continued success. Yeah.
Kid Fury
The Grinch heart, right? The Grinch heart. When it. It's all shriveled up in the end and he hears those. He hears gratitude. Children in the air. I mean. Yes. They wake up without presence and they sing anyway.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
And his heart grows past the size of a normal heart. That's how I felt reading that. That young man got himself a black education at home from his mama who gave a damn. And he was like, well, I will be the bear hunter because that's fear. That's not.
Crystal
And I'm gonna put a thing in here about. I don't. I don't like that savory stuff. And it was not nice and it hurt my feelings a lot.
Kid Fury
I hear where you're coming from, but I'm that girl. So let's. Let's co produce this pilot.
Crystal
Shout out to the teacher for completely.
Kid Fury
That was so well done too.
Crystal
I just love that the boy fully had options to be a variety of free people and said no. Actually.
Kid Fury
Actually, this was such an ideal outcome.
Crystal
Yes, it was.
Kid Fury
He had options. The teacher respected your feelings and boundaries. You respected your son's wishes. Your son understood because everyone gave him the opportunity and space to, like, have a human brain.
Crystal
It was enough, like, why you want to be that man? I told you that man was a slave. You ought to be Shay Pixa by Pick Booker T. Pick Book people kind.
Kid Fury
Of gave him the room and space to, like, look at what's going on, kind of determine what's going on and shape it for himself.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
And what happened was great. He acknowledged, you know, he got a deeper understanding of, I think, what slavery meant and what it meant for this character, this person. This figure that he's playing and in the cutest little tiny single digit age way was like right here. Is that part about it. Like, that sucked. I was enslaved. But guess what? I was also fierce. I hunted bears.
Crystal
Nigga, I did that.
Kid Fury
And practiced medicine. I did his work. He sucked.
Crystal
But I was great. And you will know my name.
Kid Fury
That makes me feel so good.
Crystal
That's really beautiful.
Kid Fury
So because I felt her, I did same, same.
Crystal
But that really worked out.
Kid Fury
That's so complicated.
Crystal
That really worked out. All right, let's dive right on into our letters this week. Our first question comes from Keisha, who says, hey, y'all, I'm a 30 year old black woman and I live in Florida with my 6 year old twin sons. Most of my family also lives in Florida, but we're not close because I've never really had a relationship with most of them. They've been in and out of jail, on drugs, selling drugs, or overall just been a bad influence. Influence.
Kid Fury
Sounds like.
Crystal
The only person I've had a somewhat okay relationship with is my mother. Although I didn't have the best childhood because of her, I have experienced a lot of different kinds of abuse that she never protected me from because she was also in and out of jail and on drugs. Over the years since becoming an adult, my mom has gotten sober, is a proud business owner, and although our relationship has struggled because she hasn't healed her own trauma, I've allowed her to be part of my son son's lives, but with strict boundaries. Y'all be getting your parents together. And honestly, I do love to see it.
Kid Fury
It's it. It needs to.
Crystal
Yeah, it needs to happen.
Kid Fury
Our little age bracket.
Crystal
It's time. It's time you either gonna break the cycle or continue it. Like, what you gonna do? What you gonna do? Here's the issue. My mom has recently got into a relationship with someone that she claims makes her extremely happy. I've met him once along with my kids, and he seems okay, but a little standoffish. I asked my mom about that and she mentioned that he had been in prison for 15 years and because of that, he's super quiet. One day while I was talking on the phone with her, she let it slip that he had to register. After poking and prodding for more information, she finally said that she took him to a local courthouse to be registered as a as a sex offender because he has moved into her house. I asked my mother why she is dating a sex offender, and she said that the incident happened when he was 20 and the girl was 17 and lied to him about being 18, so.
Kid Fury
Nicki Minaj, I'm so sorry. Okay. That didn't have anything to do with this, obviously.
Crystal
I did some more digging and found the records. Found out that he lied to my mom, and he was actually 25 years old. And the victim was 13.
Kid Fury
Jesus.
Crystal
Which explains the 15 goddamn years in prison.
Kid Fury
Jesus.
Crystal
I tried to explain this to my mom, and she was not receptive. She took his side and explained that he isn't like that anymore, and I need to stay out of their business. I decided that very day that I would cut my mother off because I do not want my sons being around her or her man, especially since I'm in a current. Especially because I'm currently in a custody battle with my son's father. Makes sense.
Kid Fury
Oh, my God. Girl, do you want to come over? Like, what aren't you going through?
Crystal
My question is, how do I navigate this grieving process? I cut off the only family I had left. Although I'm happy with my choice and I don't regret it, grieving has been difficult. I feel alone, even though I do have amazing friends, but they all live out of state. I'm really not sure what to do with this grief. Please help. Love, Keisha. Girl, I feel you. Because this is not a. What should I do? You are very clear on that. The priority is protecting your children.
Kid Fury
You know what? Yeah. It's not.
Crystal
Should I cut my mama off? You are very clear that your mama's taking places for a rapist, so she needs to stay. Like you said, she hasn't healed her own trauma. So a man can lie to her about spending 15 years in jail because he was 20 and slept with a 17 year old? That don't even make sense.
Kid Fury
First of all, right?
Crystal
17 is the age of consent most places. So why would you do 15 years for that? 15 years? No, it makes a lot more sense that he was 25 and the victim was 13. Then you will indeed go to prison for 15 years as you deserve, so.
Kid Fury
And the lie was. Was a deal breaker in and of itself.
Crystal
Well, I mean. And the thing is, the boyfriend could have easily lied to the mama, but when she said, hey, I looked into that, and that's not true. For the mama to take his side means that it don't even matter if he.
Kid Fury
Stay out of our business. Say less.
Crystal
I'm sending you screenshots of court records telling you that this man violated a 13 year old child. And you telling me to mind mine. You don't have to worry about seeing me or my twins ever the again, sweetheart. And I'm ever so serious about that. Stamp it. I mean that, I mean, you're right.
Kid Fury
That if anything, at least this isn't one of the letters where it's like, yeah, my mom and her boyfriend came over to our house and they set it on fire and they stabbed my husband. But then she said, sorry, I wanna know if I should forgive her. And then we have to be like, we have to spend like 35 minutes.
Crystal
On packing getting you to understand this is not okay.
Kid Fury
Mama was like, I'm never speaking to this bitch again. So how do I deal with that? Like sucking. Cause it sucks.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
And that I would say, yeah, at least you do have that awareness. And like Crystal mentioned, even the awareness of your mom's own trauma. That ain't got nothing to do with you, but to exist in a situation where this person already you have attempted to heal from them abandoning you, not protecting you from abuse because of their own issues, traumas, forms of abuse or whatever. Like you did whatever work to get past that, forgive that. And I mean, crimson colored flags are all around the place and you're showing them to this same person who did you wrong as a child when you needed protection. And the discussion is the abuse of a child.
Crystal
Right?
Kid Fury
And they're like, so that's my man.
Crystal
Mind your business. I have six year old twin sons. Whether they're around a rapist is completely my business.
Kid Fury
Are you.
Crystal
He's changed. I don't give a hot nut. Fucking. How about that? How about that?
Kid Fury
I don't know that nigga.
Crystal
I don't know that.
Kid Fury
Just to be quite honest.
Crystal
I don't care.
Kid Fury
I don't know you.
Crystal
Cause what kind of bitch chooses a nigga who just got out of jail over her kid and grandchildren?
Kid Fury
Most of my life he was drunk, high, and in and out of jail. Bitch, we just getting to know each other.
Crystal
So I do a lot of shit because of your neglect. And you think you're gonna. I'm gonna let my children, I'm gonna let you sit back and not pay attention to what's going on in your own home. So it can happen to my kids too. Yeah, you've taken leave of your senses. You have, you have. I'm out. I'm out this.
Kid Fury
But she asked about the grief.
Crystal
Yes, let's talk about, let's talk about how you handle this, because this is actually the hard part. Cutting people off is the easy part compared to dealing with the feelings afterwards.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Well, you know, my first I'm always going to recommend therapy if that's optional, because a therapist can. This is the main thing. They do help people process grief. But you mentioned that you're happy with your choice, you don't regret it, that's good. And that you feel really alone. Your friends, you have great friends, but they live out of state. Connect anyway. Connect anyway. Whatever form of connection you can get from people who really see you, really love you, really value you is good. So sending text messages, if it's a group, even like your closest friends, if they. Especially if they all are also friends. If you could say, hey, can we jump on a zoom or do a group FaceTime or something like, I just really need to talk. Stuff like that. Let people know what you are going through. It's huge. Talk about the pain. Talk about the way the feelings of betrayal or anything else you might be going with, spread it around. Let your friends help you carry the burden. It is a lot less heavy when other people are shouldering the pain with you. And dig into your art, dig into your creativity, journaling, coloring, any expression of acting, even like exercise.
Kid Fury
That was going to be my.
Crystal
Anything to get your feelings out. Anything to get them feelings out. Because this is too much to just sit in your brain and body and for you to deal with on your own.
Kid Fury
Yeah, that was going to be my suggestion for sure. Is like, Because I agree with the first thing Krystal said, I'm struggling with that still, to be honest with you. Honestly, this is also kind of a little triggering because I'm currently dealing with this, but I naturally default to this feeling of like, oh, well, I'm not going to reach out and vent because they don't want to hear that you. Like, my friends don't want to hear that. Or they're going through their own thing or I don't want to gossip or whatever. So then I just hold onto all of it. But it's like the people in my life that love me and call me friend are like waiting and willing to.
Crystal
Be like, and this isn't gossip.
Kid Fury
This is.
Crystal
Yeah, you're very real life. Like, this is real shit going on.
Kid Fury
So, yeah, saying this person hurt me, I'm hurt isn't necessarily about somebody.
Crystal
Not at all.
Kid Fury
Not at all. But that's how my anxiety or my, you know, like, I'm like, I don't want to badmouth people, whatever, but I just sit in it. So I, I'm. I feel too faced being like, reach out to your friend. Because I'm still practicing. But in Like I have been doing it a lot more in the past couple of weeks than I've done in the past I don't know how many years.
Crystal
Amen.
Kid Fury
And it is truthfully very helpful even if we talk about nothing or we just sit on the phone. The one I was definitely going to dive into though is what Krystal also said, which is kind of like forming healthy habits and hobbies.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
You are a mother of six year old twins. You got plenty of time. I don't know your schedule, baby cakes, but if you can set her aside like I know that, I know that. But if you can set aside 30 minutes to 60 minutes a day, that is for you and your mind and centering that and making a habit out of that, I think it will make a profound difference in the long run. And it'll probably feel. Cause I've ideally get up, get moving, walk, yoga, meditate, stretch. Do something that physically you have to kind of be active in because it kind of does make your mind focus on something other than the things that's frustrating you. And then the more and more and more you do it, you're now then dedicated your time and mind to something.
Crystal
You work it out of your body.
Kid Fury
You'Re working it out of your body.
Crystal
Very good for you.
Kid Fury
But yeah, I think that those can be great ways of building just time for your mind to focus on things that are calming and peaceful and building that habit alongside things like therapy and friends and whatever else can really, I think help. Because the thing that I think that really heals grief and stuff is time. So spending that time in the safest, healthiest place in perspective is probably your best course of action. Sitting and stewing in it, not talking to nobody or whatever.
Crystal
That's probably not going to, it's just.
Kid Fury
Going to make it going to the healing process.
Crystal
Longer time. Time doesn't heal all wounds, but it does heal treated wounds. That's something I like to say.
Kid Fury
Right.
Crystal
So you need to, you need to treat the, the injury first, which is, I mean, if I were you, I would be grieving my mother as if she had died. Yeah, because if you chose a child rapist over me and my kids, there's no coming back from that. There's no coming back from that.
Kid Fury
Period. Point blank, chapter one, the end. And we're not even talking about like the beginning chapter or prior book is, is me.
Crystal
Right?
Kid Fury
You already have a bad relationship.
Crystal
You were looking past the way she neglected you and so you ended up being abused in all these ways. Physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, and you, you.
Kid Fury
Want me to neglect mine.
Crystal
All of that because she's done well, she's gotten sober. All this, which is great. But if she's continuing to do the same bullshit, then all the. None of that matters. None of that matters. She is still just like you were. Look, just like when you were a child. She is still choosing herself, her desires over what's best for you. And now your own kids. So especially in a custody battle, the last thing you need is your ex husband being like. And she got my kids over there with her mama and her mama got a sex offender living in the house. You won't see them kids again. So, yeah, you won't see them children no more. So go. Yeah, this is. I would be treating this as if my mother had died because I just don't see. I don't see a path forward for us. So. You know, when people lose their moms, they grieve a very long time. A very long time.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
So you grieve as long as you need to be gentle with yourself, patient with yourself. Because this is a hard thing to feel. Like you straight up told your mama, hey, this man isn't who you think he is. And she said, how about there's a box for my business and a box for yours and never the twain shall meet. Like, okay, bitch, fine, fine, bitch, you. You got it. That's hurtful, of course. But yeah, be patient with yourself because this is a hard thing you're going through.
Kid Fury
And I was about to do the whole, like, oh, you know, and I understand the mind and sickness and we just talked about, you know, Gen X and above and that black woman generation and how they'll. And I was about to do the, you know, she's sick and recovering and been in jail and so her probably. And I get it, it's fucked up. But you know, I was gonna do the. But I'm not even. Fuck all that. Like, fuck. Fuck every inch of it. You are a grown titty ass woman. I don't care. Like, it's enough space. I know your ass on TikTok girl. Get your algorithm together so that you can swipe up to somebody who's going to tell you you need to get your shit together. Sober or not.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
I don't. We.
Crystal
Because all of that. The, the whole, all of that you just mentioned is great for answering the how. It's great for answering the why.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
But it doesn't excuse or make. Okay. The behaviors that she is currently ignoring.
Kid Fury
Exhibiting, currently know the how and the lie. I Think it's just something that our generation does where we're like, yeah, well, it's.
Crystal
It's.
Kid Fury
I know. Such and such. But they don't excuse it.
Crystal
Like, we don't even have to do that. It's a natural curiosity. Because parents aren't supposed to treat children like this. This goes against the natural order of things.
Kid Fury
Yeah, it does.
Crystal
So when your parents are up and are treating you in a up way, you are now in the up position of trying to make sense out of that. So, yeah, your mind is like, what is this? What is that? Why was she this? Why was she that? Because that's your mom, and she's not supposed to be like this.
Kid Fury
And not only did you neglect me, I am now. I am now. Move. Moved past that and addressing that, you are attempting to neglect my children and actually put them in harm's way.
Crystal
Harm's way. You moved.
Kid Fury
Unforgivable.
Crystal
First of all, if you told me you did 15 years in prison for sleeping with a 17 year old when you were 20, I would call you a fucking liar and tell you, get out of my house right then and there. Because that's simply. I'm sorry. Where. Where does that happen? In what world? You wanted. Your. Your mama wanted to believe that about that man. She could have googled him and found the same court records you did. She wanted to believe it. That's her problem, though. Don't make it yours. And I beg, don't make it your son's.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Best of luck to you, baby.
Kid Fury
Reach out to your friends. Therapy, coloring, stretching, exercising, comedy. Yo, Life hack sad girl. Life hack cartoons.
Crystal
Ooh, Steven Universe cartoons. Watch Steven Universe. Oh, my God. Watch Steven Universe. Steven also had a complicated relationship with his mother, and that's putting it mildly. That bitch was leading wars and revolutions, so she was also a hot mess. But the war and the revolution right there's good and bad, just like with all of us. But you can't allow other people's misbehavior to continue have such a negative impact on you. So good luck, baby girl. Our next letter. Oh, boy. Oh, okay. Our next letter comes from Ginger, who says, hey, y'all. My former best friend Dodie ghosted me when my grandmother and my mother passed away 10 days apart back in 2022.
Kid Fury
Jesus.
Crystal
We've been friends since our senior year in high school. Her son was my godson. We talked about everything, and we were so supportive of each other. In December of 2021, Dodie texted me, complaining that I never show up to her son's birthday party. I reminded her that I did go to his first several birthday parties. But now Covid is a thing. And it's cold and flu season. Flu season. And I have young children who always get sick. I guess she was mad because from there, we didn't communicate again.
Kid Fury
I guess she was mad.
Crystal
A few months later, I lost my grandmother. And then ten days after that, my mother also passed away. So naturally, I was devastated and broken.
Kid Fury
Insane.
Crystal
Inconceivable. That kind of lost so close together, but, geez, she never reached out to me in any way. At first, I thought maybe she didn't know and was just cooling off from our conversation. But fast forward to spring 2024, and I got a text saying that she missed me and she loves me. I told her about my mom. Now, that's from 2022 to 2024. Y'all did not speak at all. Okay. I told her about my mom and grandmother, and her response was, oh, yes, I know. Sorry for your losses. I just lost two of my friends.
Kid Fury
Ouch.
Crystal
I took a couple days before responding so I wouldn't message her out of anger. But eventually I explained that I figured she just never knew about my mom and grandma dying and that we were taking a friend break. But to know that she knew this whole time and never even tried to reach out to me was foul. And I said I no longer wanted to be friends with her and then blocked her. Do y'all think I should have given Dodie the opportunity to explain herself? I was really hurt and also still very much grieving. I miss my godson, and I do miss her as a friend, but I don't know if I should try to forgive and forget. Thanks, Ginger. This is so crazy, because didn't we just say that grieving a parent is something that people take years really to do? Like, of course, you are very much still grieving the loss of your mother. Yeah, right. Sound like you, Ginger, had a great mama and a great grandma, too. So, of course, you know, two, three years later, you're still grieving and they're both gone. Right?
Kid Fury
And you knew about that and didn't say nothing to me because I didn't come to, what, your birth? Your son's seventh birthday or something?
Crystal
So this is where I'm like, it can't be because I didn't come to this birthday party at the peak of COVID and flu season. That can't be it.
Kid Fury
It can't be.
Crystal
I just know you not mad at me for in 2021. No, baby girl. No. You're not mad at nobody for refusing to go to. So either. There's something I would love to hear Dodie side of this, like, kind of. Did you piss Dodie off so many times over the years that that one thing was like the proverbial straw? Because I'm going to tell you this. If I was Dodie and I was mad at my friend for something petty. It happens. It happens.
Kid Fury
We're here. Yeah. Yeah.
Crystal
If I was mad at you for something petty and then I found out your grandma died, I'm texting you then, yes. But if I was still mad and then 10 days later your mama died, I'm absolutely facetiming you. And I'm sending an edible arrangement or something to the door.
Kid Fury
Because 1000%.
Crystal
That's why I'm like, this bitch had to be really mad at you. It ain't no way. This is really just about like, there's.
Kid Fury
Either something critical missing.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
Or pissed Dodie off.
Crystal
Right. Or Dodie is.
Kid Fury
Or Dodie is insane.
Crystal
Or Dodie needs to stay at the Grippy Sock Hotel.
Kid Fury
Like, that bitch is awful.
Crystal
One or the other. Because who does that?
Kid Fury
Your best friend.
Crystal
This is your son's godmother.
Kid Fury
If this is someone who I haven't spoken to. Best friend, we could have fallen out over something. Whatever. Whatever. If I find out that your grandmother died, I probably will send you a text message just like, I'm so sorry. Whatever. Even if it's one sentence, I will send condolences. Right. But you're right. Let's say I'm pissed. I'm just pissed.
Crystal
So mad. Big, mad, big, mad baby.
Kid Fury
You haven't said anything in this email that I could determine would be. I'd be that pissed about, but let's just say that I am pissed. Sure, your grandmother dies, and I'm just like, well, I hope she's all right, but I'm mad. Not even a full two weeks I found out that your mama died. You are 1000 getting over it. Speaking to you.
Crystal
I'm getting over it. I am. Because if it was something that petty and small, like, yes, you're this child's godmother, but it's Covid cold and flu season. That alone is a reason to not go. Do you know how many times I simply didn't go to things, parties and places because of COVID and the flu? Countless.
Kid Fury
Also, children are the sickest thing nasty.
Crystal
And they're so nasty, they wipe their nose and then smear it all over the kitchen countertops and the table. It's like they're trying to. To get the whole household sick.
Kid Fury
They cough on everything.
Crystal
And it's winter, so everybody's inside. The air quality is terrible. They probably don't have air purifiers and fans and shit going. So I'm not even mad at you for not. Annie will send you a present. We'll go hang out when it's warm enough to be outside. Love you so much. This is insane. So should you have given her the opportunity to explain herself? Maybe. Maybe. Because I really want to know how she was so mad she didn't reach out when she heard about this?
Kid Fury
Yeah, I feel like I want to.
Crystal
Know was she resentful towards you for years and just never said something like, you. If she's that petty, if it was really just you didn't come to the birthday party, so I didn't hit you up with your mom and dad.
Kid Fury
If she is or this or you're.
Crystal
Lying, then it's time to not miss that friend no more. You need to go ahead and grieve the loss of your friend. That's over. That's over. If she's genuinely that petty, I would not ever.
Kid Fury
Ever.
Crystal
There's nothing. What am I trying to reconcile with you?
Kid Fury
Missing your godson is fair because, you know, innocent baby. Innocent baby ain't do nothing to whatever. But, yeah, you can go ahead and grieve that friendship, because that's crazy.
Crystal
It is.
Kid Fury
And the reason I feel like it may be that Dodie is just that damn petty. Is that, like, how was your response? Oh, yeah, I heard. Sorry that I heard that.
Crystal
I know. And then I lost two of my friends.
Kid Fury
Yeah, I didn't. And I lost two of my friends. Not like, yeah, I didn't say nothing because I was really pissed about Blinkity Bang, blink, blink. Just this. Really? Offhand, like, I lost two friends, bitch. I lost my mama and my grandma.
Crystal
Right.
Kid Fury
10 days apart.
Crystal
You said that like, I was like, oh, I lost my. My fucking gerbils. First of all, I might have loved the out of them gerbils, but even so, like, you're responding so cavalierly. Like I just said, oh, I went in, I picked up the baby outfit from TJ Maxx. Like, you just said it. Oh, yes, girl. Oh, yes, your mom and grandma. Oh, I know. Oh, my friends.
Kid Fury
Yeah, me too.
Crystal
What have you.
Kid Fury
Like, did you lose your mind over the past two years?
Crystal
Perhaps, Perhaps. Maybe she's just one of those people. But I wouldn't try to rekindle this.
Kid Fury
Yeah, I wouldn't be that Is so cold.
Crystal
Yeah. You really got to be.
Kid Fury
The response is out of it.
Crystal
Yeah, yeah.
Kid Fury
I'm sorry. I don't know. Listen, this is. This is, like, the makings of, like, a scream killer. This is like she's an orgy. One of them bitches in a slasher movie that you find out at the end. She's the killer.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
And it was like, oh, you don't remember in 11th grade, you dated Bobby when I told you I liked him, and so I killed everyone. Okay, like, what is.
Crystal
Yeah, Ginger, get her out of here. I wouldn't be trying to forgive and forget that shit. I. I, quite frankly, would not be capable of forgetting at all.
Kid Fury
Never.
Crystal
Oh, I know. I know. You know, Bitch, you know? Okay, all right, all right. I'm sorry. I'm gonna. I'm gonna keep ruminating on this because it's just that wild. Like, either we're missing a lot of details, or she just like Nicki mama. She needs to be.
Kid Fury
It's, like, observed with the mama. I feel like the same type of thing.
Crystal
Nicki Minaj. Get out of here. No, I want you out of here.
Kid Fury
Even after that nigga leaves her, my grandkids still not coming to see you. You are dead to me.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
Even if you will never look past.
Crystal
You in jail for violating another child. I'm. It's not happening.
Kid Fury
You are never.
Crystal
I'm getting over this.
Kid Fury
Listen, in the words of. Of. Of a blessed black man, God has a plan.
Crystal
All right. Best of luck, Ginger.
Kid Fury
To find that cliff.
Crystal
Wait till you see it. I swear to God, I wrote. I said it ain't no way.
Kid Fury
That is fierce.
Crystal
This is why I. I have told y'all for years to record conversations. Shout out to that white girl for recording that conversation. That clip coming out, I don't know what the reason was for that, but that straight up said to put a in position. You see, it's bad out here.
Kid Fury
That's what.
Crystal
Like, that's frustrating, but it be like that sometimes.
Kid Fury
Sometimes.
Crystal
That's how it is sometimes. All right. Our last letter comes from Hannah, who says, I wanted to share something that's been helping me recently and get y'all's take on it. I stumbled upon using Chat GPT, like a therapy session by accident, and I didn't even know you could use it that way at first, but it's surprisingly been useful for sorting through my thoughts and feelings. It might sound wild, but it's low key. Been therapeutic in a way I didn't expect. I get to express myself, vent, reflect and talk through things without the usual pressure of sitting in a formal therapy therapy session. It's like having a space to unload with no judgment, which I didn't even realize I needed. Now, I want to be clear. I know traditional human therapy is important and not something chat GPT can replace. This is just something that's helped me between sessions. I'm curious if it could work for others who aren't ready or able to access therapy yet. Do y'all think AI like chat GPT can be a real tool for people who can't access therapy or aren't ready to dive into that yet? Or is there something in the human connection that can't be replicated by tech? Looking forward to hearing what y'all think. Thanks, Hannah.
Kid Fury
Hannah, I think this is a really fascinating question and one that is very clearly reflective of the times we live in. Also. It kind of feels like you know the answer, but you are just.
Crystal
She wants to know what we think.
Kid Fury
Our response. Yeah.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
And I think you kind of know what we'll. Well, I know I. You know, kind of what somebody's response here is, I think both of us, which is that, yeah, nothing is going to replace actual human therapy. AI can't replicate that. AI can't even replicate basic human writing yet.
Crystal
It's not great.
Kid Fury
It's not.
Crystal
I don't know if that's free chat GPT that y'all are using or what, but it's not a good writer.
Kid Fury
Like, it's impressive just conceptually how far, you know, we were beating rocks together for fire at one point. So, fine, whatever. But, yeah, I think. Okay, so something stood out to me, which is that you said, you know, this is something that kind of helps you out in between sessions in that regard. Although I've never used AI for therapy or even thought to in that regard. I don't see how it could be harmful unless you start to. Unless it starts to shift the way that you engage with actual therapy. If it's something where it's like, okay, you're having real talk therapy or whatever form of therapy, and it's just something like you use ChatGPT or some other kind of AI tool for advice or sorting out feelings in between, and you leave that as that, then I don't really know necessarily how harmful that could be. Could just be another form of therapy, I guess, depending on how. Again, I've never engaged with AI in that way to have a good enough idea of how that all even works. I do know, and I was looking up in My library right now because I can't remember the name of it, but there's a video game that I downloaded that's almost like this, but it's not AI. And I want to say it's called like something like not kind letters or kind words or something where basically it's like, it's set online and it's very cute, like Cozy Grove kind of looking thing. And you go in your little apartment and you'll write something like your feelings. Like, let's say, you know, oh, I. I had to stop speaking to my mother because she really, really hurt me and I don't know what to do. And you like, write a little letter and it goes out into like this Internet cloud or whatever and it's anonymous and people can basically respond to it. And it's. I don't remember how, but it is curated. Like, you can't just say anything you want, but basically people will send you back anonymous. Words of encouragement, affirmation, maybe advice. I'm like oversimplifying it and making it sound awful. But anyway, all that to say that there are other things that aren't AI that can sort of fill in that gap. Because my only hesitation with AI for this and our reliance on it is the way that it seemingly can morph our thinking and intent. I think that a lot of us are getting a little too comfortable and reliant on it for. For certain things that we really should be looking to other people for.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
Just period.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
So, yeah, I think it's complicated because I'm a nerd and I'm a techie. I think AI is creepy in general, but I also don't think it immediately sounds like a bad idea. I just think there are way better things you can do for this feeling that involve people besides AI. I don't think I'm ever gonna suggest AI unless it's like ChatGPT, give me a recipe for.
Crystal
Yes, I wish we would do that. I wish you would ask Chat GPT to. To write your grocery list or, you know.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Not. Not to do things humans should be doing. Not to create art for you. Not to make music or replicate some dead rapper's voice or.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Or. Or write poetry or even be your therapist. So I. I do understand that chat GPT is free and available 247 and therapy is not either of those things.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
And some of you are probably getting some very good surface level interaction out of Chat GPT because that's just about all it's capable of doing. So this is something that Came up in my grad program that we talked about actually quite a bit. And I want to say, Chad GPT only knows what it has been programmed to know. So, yes, if you say chatgpt, my boyfriend, I just got my boyfriend cheating on me for the third time. What should I do? It's going to come through based off these keywords. Comb through some things and then, like the word salad, basically, and then feed you back something that sounds warm and generous and supportive of you. And you deserve someone who's going to treat you well. Perhaps you could choose. You should consider breaking up with this person. You know it's going to be something like that. However.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
If you've ever used Chat GPT, you know that sometimes, even when you ask it very direct questions that have an obvious answer, it will give you a lie or something incorrect.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
It's unsupervised, it's unregulated. It. I would trust it even less than Reddit because at least Reddit posts are tagged when they're written by a bot.
Kid Fury
That's tea.
Crystal
I would trust it even less than ready. But you can get, like, how can I manage symptoms of a panic attack, what are some signs of depression? Stuff like that. Easy, you can Google that. Yes, but the children use Chat GPT as if it is Google. They use TikTok the same way.
Kid Fury
I was gonna say that too. I don't even understand how you TikTok. Like, Google that part. Confuses.
Crystal
That's where. That's how they learn to do things. Instead of Googling, like, how do I hang up a painting? They Type that into TikTok and a video of somebody who shows you how to hang painting shows up.
Kid Fury
But see, that, for me, I can't. Okay?
Crystal
That's because we're. That's because we're from the old world.
Kid Fury
Like, for me, when you learn about something you read.
Crystal
Yeah, we're from the old world. We don't do that. They don't read or write. They watch videos and do dances.
Kid Fury
My attention doesn't do that. Okay.
Crystal
And I thank God for it. I actually thank God for it. But. So I'm not even. I want y'all to get help. I know y'all are in emotional distress and therapy is not always accessible. And even if you have the money for it, it can take time to find the right therapist for you. But again, it. It summarizes and feeds you back information. It can't tell you what is actually best for you because it doesn't know you and it can't take into context anything else that's going on.
Kid Fury
So think about, like, your first session with a therapist. That's kind of like.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
And not even. Because at least your first session was going to remember the human educated person.
Crystal
Yeah, she's taking notes and she's going to remember the next time. I don't know. Maybe if you're paying for Chat GPT, it will remember you and learn you. I mean, maybe at this point it can, but it. It.
Kid Fury
You're right.
Crystal
It doesn't have a moral compass. It doesn't have this sense of what's right or wrong. And you can manipulate ChatGPT into telling you whatever you want it to because you're giving it only your side, only your perspective. And so you can frame things to Chat GPT and be like, my man does this. My girlfriend does that. My mama, my daddy. Why? Why? My best friend. And Chat GPT isn't going to do nothing but support you. Whereas a therapist will hear all this and support you and also bring into your awareness the ways you're perpetuating harm or the ways you're doing something wrong, betraying others or betraying yourself.
Kid Fury
Also, I can't help but think that, like, with ChatGPT is like. It's also like, you use a certain turn of phrase and it's just. Just like, I had to leave my boyfriend because he told me he wasn't with his ex. I know. That's captain. ChatGPT is like, your closest hat store is on La Brea Avenue. It's a lid. You can purchase one for your boyfriend. I don't know how big his head.
Crystal
Is, but, like, therapists aren't supposed to, you know, give advice. A lot of you. Oh, God, this is. I love this case.
Kid Fury
Ooh, that's tea. That is tea.
Crystal
Y'all want your therapist to tell you what to do so you can blame her if your life goes wrong. But no, therapy is not supposed to be us telling you what to do. This is what's wrong with you. This is what you need to fix. It's supposed to be a process. It is. Y'all really finna be mad. I'm gonna purell your hands and then hold them when I say this. Therapy for a lot of you is supposed to take a long time because you are going in and undoing some deeply held beliefs that you've had for a long time. And especially if you were traumatized at an early age or traumatized repeatedly, it's going to take that much more work to reconfigure your thought processes. It's not impossible. Neuroplasticity is real. You can heal, but it takes longer for some people than others. Y'all want chatgpt because you think it's the elevator to being healed. But Jennifer Lewis told us there ain't no elevator.
Kid Fury
I was about to bring it out. Take them stairs, bitch.
Crystal
Take them stairs.
Kid Fury
I was just about to say that.
Crystal
There's no express train to healing. You have to take the stairs or whatever.
Kid Fury
You know, you're so right.
Crystal
Works for you. So y'all want. That's. I want somebody to help you fast. Oh, my God. I had this problem, told CHAT GPT my own therapist wouldn't have fixed it that fast, blah, blah. Sure, on the surface, superficial level, a lot of you will see something that works. But you, I would be extremely interested in seeing how some of you who have started this, this therapy relationship with Chat GPT where you are 1, 3, 5, 10 years from now, because Chat GPT isn't curious about you. You tell CHAT GPT that you're mad at your girlfriend. It's not gonna say, tell me about your girlfriend. When did you guys meet? What was that like? That question alone can reveal so much to me about your relationship and the patterns that you and your partner are in. Chat GPT, is it curious about you or your life? It's trying to spit answers at you. It's not trying to understand and help you in a real way.
Kid Fury
And that's not what therapists actually do.
Crystal
To your point, we're not advice dispensers.
Kid Fury
That was salty. Because, like, a lot of. I don't know if you've ever seen the Matrix.
Crystal
Oh, yeah, but the pill, red pill or the blue pill.
Kid Fury
The Matrix. There's a character in the Matrix called the Oracle. This is a black lady. This black lady who's basically like the cpu. She knows everything.
Crystal
Okay. Work.
Kid Fury
And so they'll go to her when they need information or answers to something, and she's always baking cookies and will give them some really vague, poetic speech that will. Basically, she's just like, she knows everything. And I feel like that's kind of what people expect out of their therapist, that they're gonna go and sit down in this little room that smells like fresh baked cookies. And this person is gonna be like, oh, well, all you have to do is go and do this. And if you would just do this, you'll save the world. Good luck. And that's not how therapy it isn't. They kind of look at the cards in your Hand and kind of like help you sort them out in front of you and analyze them, if anything, and figure out how best to, like, keep them in front of you.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
So that when they're not around, you know how to move them. You know, it's not like they. They just kind of help you unpack and unravel and untangle.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
And to the point that Crystal just made.
Crystal
You have to do that work. You do.
Kid Fury
You have to do that work. And a lot of times we don't realize how long that work is going to take. It's hard because we're untangling shit that is 30 some odd years old. A lot of us.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
Literally, it's going to take. It's a long time.
Crystal
Yes. And some of us are more hurt than others. Some of us have more shit to heal from than others. It's not fair, but it's reality. And so, like I said, I get it. Y'all are really hurting. ChatGPT is free. It's killing the environment, but that's less of your concern. So I do understand. I'm not trying to shame y'all for that. I'm trying to let you know that it does have very real limitations. And you can get the same sort of help from following. Not even just therapists. Therapy meme accounts on social media can give you this same help.
Kid Fury
I mean, I run into them by.
Crystal
Accident, the algorithm will eventually start showing you a bunch of platitudes. Yeah, take care of yourself. Water your own plant before you can water somebody else's. Like this. This is the type of shit that CHAT GBP is going to give you. It's not. It isn't going to replace a therapist. Therapist cost money for a reason. I mean it. I just want y'all to know where ChatGPT it could take you, but so far. And that's really. It's like your porch is how far it can take you. It's not.
Kid Fury
They know that you're right. They want to take the elevator. Her.
Crystal
They do. You have.
Kid Fury
They need stretch.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
And her education. Just help him.
Crystal
No, no, no, no, baby. You're going to have to. And the. You know. You know what the real gag is? A lot of very traumatized people struggle with having little to no patience. And yet patience is the very thing your black ass is going to need in order to really grow. So y'all quit therapy early. You switch therapists because you feel like you're not progressing fast enough. You go back to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Unhealthy people, shitty situations. You don't have the patience to really sit with yourself and how hard this is and how much it hurts. And that's what a therapist is supposed to help you with. But if. But I do know also that if you. If you get too deep, chatbots will say, perhaps you should talk to a therapist.
Kid Fury
Oh, yeah, that's true.
Crystal
She will refer to the person. So even chatgpt don't think she's a therapist.
Kid Fury
I know that's true.
Crystal
I know that she will tell you. Actually, how about you call the lady.com? i cannot help with this. Here, baby girl.
Kid Fury
And when you get to that prompt, I know it's time. The game I was mentioning before is called Kind Words, too. I just found it on Steam. A game about being kind to real people. Send nice letters from your cozy room. Looks like a little diorama. Go outside and say hi to your neighbors. Swap recommendations. Dress up for poetry and add your dreams to a sky full of wishes. Join a community of real people with their hearts on their sleeves. So it's just like an online thing. You write little letters like, my feelings were hurt because my professor was mean. And you get little anonymous letters. Maybe the next day that I was like, your feelings matter or, you know, it's okay, you're gonna do great in school or whatever, and they're from other real people.
Crystal
That's very sweet. I love that.
Kid Fury
And, you know, ChatGPT is not a person, so I think already you're. This is a better option. I wish it was free. It's 20 bucks.
Crystal
But I mean, this could even be what social media is for. If you just want somebody to say something nice. You could post on your stories. I'm having a rough day. Can you tell me something that would lift my spirits? You'll be shocked at what you get back. So, yeah, I. Best of luck. Because I know that y'all are not going to stop, But I want you to know. I want you to know when it's time to go call somebody for real, because that is not it. All right, if you have a question for us, send it to Ask the read@gmail.com. we're going to take another quick break and be right back.
Kid Fury

We're back and it is time for the read. I will begin. Okay, first of all, while we're still talking about AI and shit, the robots are doing kick flips. The robots are doing hip jumps. The robots are doing cartwheels and jiu jitsu. And the humans are teaching them. The humans are teaching them to train them.
Crystal
Are they training soldiers or are they gonna replace Chris Brown?
Kid Fury
I don't know what else they want.
Crystal
I don't know what. I don't know which direction this is.
Kid Fury
Going in, but I hate all of them.
Crystal
Yikes. Yeah.
Kid Fury
I'm afraid I'm gonna speak more about something I hate. And I wish I didn't have to say this. I hate the Legend of Tears of the Kingdom. I hate it. I hate this game. I haven't finished it. I hate it.
Crystal
Why?
Kid Fury
Because. Why am I playing Fortnite? What is all this building? I hate the building.
Crystal
Like it.
Kid Fury
I hate building things. I hate it. Especially in this game. I want you to understand that the Legend of Zelda started like Breath of the Wild was a very huge left turn for this franchise. And it was one that many of us welcomed with open arms because it was so well done and it was so new for the franchise. Huge open world. A lot like things we've seen in the Witcher franchise, Skyrim, other stuff like that. Endless possibilities. Physics based. This quest. And da da da and web, all of that. Beautiful. They impressed me out the gate because I'm like, if they're gonna do a sequel for this, the map is so huge and so prominent. How would they like. I wouldn't want it to be. It needs to be Hyrule. And they were like, yeah, it's gonna be pretty much the same map but a different time. And with a whole world in the sky and a whole world underneath. That was enough to make a standout sequel. They were also like, you know what makes millions of dollars a day because of 7 year olds? Fortnite. So let's make a mechanic. A needless fucking mechanic. And one of the most highly anticipated video games of all time. Where you take wood and you attach it to a stone and then you find a battery and you attach to that and you make a jet. Why? Who cares? But you have to for everything. You have to glue this piece of wood to that stone, to that waterfall so that it can open a door. I hate it. I hate it. I fucking hate it. We didn't need to be here in the first place. The Legend of Zelda was always about this little speechless nigga named Link who goes around to a bunch of dungeons and get. It was just the hero's journey. He goes, gets mother's milk and the. The goat's eye and the magic Sword and whatever. And then vanquishes the bad guy and saves the princess dungeons. That's it. That's kind of how it was. And eventually it grew. It evolved into like, oh, the dungeons are bigger. And the themed. This one's like ice and fire and whatever. That was it. And it turned it into this whole other experience that was very, very fun and very refreshing. And then they were like, what if you also could build a Prius? I don't care. I don't want to do. What is this? Get. It's like, why is there Hulu in my Disney. I don't understand what the fuck we're doing here. Nintendo. I hate that game. Inexcusable. Inexcusable. I couldn't even finish it. And I don't think I will.
Crystal
Wow.
Kid Fury
I don't think I will. I got to like two of the dungeons. Whatever. I did the sky one, I did the water one, and then I went to go do the next one and.
Crystal
I was like, the fire one's tough.
Kid Fury
I think I was headed to the fire one.
Crystal
Okay.
Kid Fury
I didn't even make it there before. I was like, it was required for me to build a Ford Explorer out of trees. And I was like, I'm not. I'm not playing this game anymore. I'm not fucking playing this game anymore. And I just started Echoes of Wisdom or whatever. The latest one because of Wisdom is fun. Now that one is tea. It also has a weird mechanic in it where you make shit. But it's refreshing. It's more. It's like, very suiting for the Zelda character. It's easier to use. And the game itself is very much more reminiscent of old school Zelda. It's cute, but it just works. At least I can say that I'm enjoying something in the franchise. Recently, I wanted to like Tears of the Kingdom. I fought tooth and nail.
Crystal
Wow.
Kid Fury
To really enjoy that game, but I hate it. And I will also say before I finish this, Ubisoft Assassin's Creed Shadows is in excusable. I brought my black ass onto this very podcast and platform, and I defended you niggas because you had the audacity to feature a black samurai as a playable character in this video game. And niggas, including black folk, had an issue with that for some reason. Even though the black man is based on a real nigga in Japan. Oh, he was a retainer. He wasn't a real samurai. The fucking franchise is about secret organizations that are fighting over ancient superpowered artifacts. And you can ride a sea dragon who gives a fuck if the samurai was really black or not? Black samurai. Who gives a shit? Who care? I. And everything I said about that remains true today. What is inexcusable is that game story pacing in the first, like, three or four hours that I played. The fact that that black character that I defended is absolutely pointless, at least as far as I got up to. I mean, like, I actually didn't really get into where he was reintroduced into the. He was in the prologue, then disappeared. And the pacing for the other character was absolute garbage. On top of a. An origin story that is so redundant, it's almost racist. Like, really, she's just avenging her father's death. That's the Japanese girl story. Cool. But I'm not even gonna get into the story and how bad that is. Y'all have made too much money and have made too many Assassin's Creed games. A franchise that was made iconic and popularized for the parkour element of the player characters, mobility, the fact that they would climb buildings and jump across rooftops like one of these white people on YouTube, that was whole. Like, that was the style of the game. 25 games later, it makes no sense that these characters still can't jump over a fence. I don't understand what y'all are doing. I do know that every Ubisoft game that y'all have released in the past 10 years at launch comes with, like 15 DLC packs or little cosmetic packs, extra packs that you want us to pay another $40 or buy some, you know, digital currency to go and buy, you know, get this outfit or that outfit, or, you know, pay to get extra experience. Every Ubisoft, not just Assassin's Creed, every Ubisoft game does this. So I know that y'all have the coin. Why is it that my assassin can't jump over a basic fence? Why can they not recognize that that's a rock? Like, I don't. What is this video game? Inexcusable. You. Tears of the kingdom, Heads on the block. Chop chop. No forgiveness. Moving forward, I will never play another Assassin's Creed game. And that is what you can know tonight. Now, Nintendo and Zelda, that's quite different. I can forgive this one. Okay, I'll get over this. Because honestly, outside of the building, there's still so much to love.
Crystal
Defusing weapons.
Kid Fury
The fusing weapons is awesome.
Crystal
It's awesome.
Kid Fury
It's. If only that was was asked of me more than like, hey, glue this two by four.
Crystal
And you have to do it so specifically because you have to take into Account the physics. Your. Your jet will not fly if you got too much on it. Like it is. You're right. It is. I forgot because I finished the game so fast. That aspect of it.
Kid Fury
You build the raft to get across the river. The raft bumps into a fish, it explodes. I don't have time for this. I don't have time for this.
Crystal
Oh, my God. Yes. That was one of the side quests. You had to build a raft and go down the river and not hit nothing in order to get one of the merry band members to come rejoin the band. And that. That part was frustrating. Oh, my God. You're bringing back all these memories. That was frustrating. But it was fun.
Kid Fury
If it was like, an element of the game that was like, have fun with it. Like, see optional stuff, what ways you know, you can approach it, but it is required of you so many times. And like you just said, you do have to be very specific, precise. It's not forgiving.
Crystal
It's not.
Kid Fury
So now you spent an hour trying to figure out how to properly build a hot air balloon.
Crystal
What the hell?
Kid Fury
I don't want to do this.
Crystal
I completely forgot about that. Oh, I blocked that out.
Kid Fury
Pissed off. I was so satisfied when I was like, young man, you are an old man. Like, you don't have to play this, sweetie.
Crystal
You don't have to play this.
Kid Fury
You play video games for fun. You are not enjoying yourself.
Crystal
Play something else. Oh, man.
Kid Fury
Fuck. That's it. I'm done.
Crystal
You really just brought back all these memories. I might pull up Tears of the Kingdom later just to see what. Because I'm sure I haven't finished all the side quests. See how long it takes to piss me off.
Kid Fury
I hope they make another one because it works so well. Like, it's just the building. I hate it's just the building. The recall thing, the rewinding time is really fun.
Crystal
Incredible.
Kid Fury
The element of how you can, like, like, swim through.
Crystal
Oh, yes.
Kid Fury
Swimming something above you. Yes. Like, there's so many other cool things, but the building and how much is asked of you is like, I. I don't care. I hated it.
Crystal
There's a few builds that I just saved in, like, the auto builder because I use them so much. That little jet being one of them. But because it's like, once you get it right, you. You have to save that. You can't go back and rebuild that from scratch every time. You will. That game will. You'll be so pissed.
Kid Fury
Maybe I'll revisit it at some point.
Crystal
No, you know, cool. Off. Take some time. They tried you.
Kid Fury
I think I had a raft or something break. And I was like, that's actually it. Close game.
Crystal
Close game.
Kid Fury
Right click. Delete, bitch. I'm not. I'm finished.
Crystal
Well, I promise I'm not trying to talk about Trump in this administration every week, but this shit with them putting the fucking editor in chief of the Washington Post in their. I mean, of the Atlantic. They put the editor in chief of the Atlantic in their war. Playing group chat on signal.
Kid Fury
I just like.
Crystal
You niggas did what?
Kid Fury
I wonder what the other earths are doing.
Crystal
These people accidentally, they said, Jeffrey Goldberg. Yeah, put him in the chat. Wrong, Jeff.
Kid Fury
So funny.
Crystal
These niggas were in there casually texting about, oh, yeah, Europe. But, you know, whatever. Let's keep them hoes on our side for now. Like, so anyway, y'all want to bomb Yemen at 2 or 3. Like what y'all want to do. So take it. Just, let's just. Let's just set aside. Let's, let's, let's. Let's strip this down to the basics.
Kid Fury
Yeah.
Crystal
Number one, the fact that y'all got rid of all of the dei, all of the people who were in there, because not only were they qualified, they also had a diversity of experience and thought and people who come together to collaborate to make things better. Y'all got rid of all of those qualified, good people and brought in yourselves a pack of dumbass crackers with no direction, no idea what you're doing. Donald Trump and J.D. vance are your leaders. So the bar's already in hell. Y'all did all of that just to then turn around and do something so fucking basic in its stupidity that anybody with a security clearance would have known better than to do that shit. Do you know how hard it is to get a security clearance? I know these niggas don't, because y'all wouldn't have never started no group chat on signal and adding random. Just adding niggas, not verifying who you're actually adding to the chat to discuss something so sensitive.
Kid Fury
These niggas butt dialed America.
Crystal
Anybody, and I do mean anybody else, would have immediately been fired, lost their security clearance, might even be facing criminal charges for this shit.
Kid Fury
Oh, without question. Yes, Crystal, this is screw the wall.
Crystal
Because how is this real life?
Kid Fury
I know, I know, I know.
Crystal
Y'all are detailing time of day, weapons, used locations, and had this man.
Kid Fury
It's actually humiliating.
Crystal
Had this man not come out and said, yeah, y'all, y'all did that, they would have never known he Got added to the chat in mid March when Trump's national security advisor accidentally added him. This is the.
Kid Fury
So hilarious.
Crystal
This is the top national security advisor in a group chat with the nation's highest level national security officials and the editor in chief of the Atlantic magazine. Why these conversations didn't happen in person or over a secure line in a secure location. I don't understand. These are things people who watch Scandal can tell you that this ain't supposed to happen. Like, you don't have to know anything about political or science to know that this ain't it. I just know that the United States government has better ideas for communicating information about war strikes to one another than a group chat on signal that nobody has even gone through to verify that the correct people are there. Nobody even went through to say, right name, right phone number, right email address. Right? Jeffrey Goldberg. It's probably 1.3 million Jeffrey Goldbergs in the United States. Why on. These niggas are running the country.
Kid Fury
Lovers of liberty, welcome to Liberty.
Crystal
Not Sally. Wasn't that her name? Sally?
Kid Fury
Yeah. Sally Langston.
Crystal
Yes. Sally Langston. Not that bitch. They're trying to. They're firing us, telling us we're not qualified because we're black, we're gay, we're Latino. We're not qualified. And y'all niggas are texting. Y'all are telling national security secrets. On signal.
Kid Fury
On signal. What are we talking about?
Crystal
This just. I'm struggling. What the fuck?
Kid Fury
It's like I be judging Natalie Nunn.
Crystal
Oh, no.
Kid Fury
But like, Donald Trump is just Natalie.
Crystal
Nunn and America's business and America. Is Everybody still paying $5 a month to watch her own back.
Kid Fury
That is. That is. That. I don't. It's like, laugh to keep from shitting yourself. I don't know what. Because, like, what. What.
Crystal
What is tomorrow break they talking about? It wasn't war plans. It was attack plans.
Kid Fury
Oh, all right.
Crystal
Because what you can't do is lie and say that that man made it up. They said, here go the screen Shahats. Please don't play with me.
Kid Fury
What are you. What are they. Why are we.
Crystal
What kind of dream is this? Beyonce first asked, and I have to. I have to bring it up. I have to ask. Cause, Bitch, where are we at? Are you fucking for real? This is.
Kid Fury
This dream is neither sweet nor this nightmare. Beautiful.
Crystal
Y'all got thousands of federal employees emailing Elon Musk to tell him what they did that week, and these niggas are texting randos in the group chat about bombing Yemen Let this serve as a reminder that these, these crackers absolutely can't critique you. They can't judge you. They can't put you down on a. They can't tell you that a single fucking thing in this world was given to you. If anything, everything was given to them. That's exactly how they failed their way upwards into these positions in the first place. Not a single goddamn one of them is even qualified to. They can't. Right? And it was taken by way of their families. Most of this is this generational wealth that white people be having. That's slavery. That's the oppression of people of the global majority.
Kid Fury
And they know that. That is why DEI and equality and visibility and diversity scares them so much. Because we would have the opportunity to build generations of wealth.
Crystal
And just saying Kamala and her DEI vice presidency. Not once did this happen. Just saying. Perhaps there's a benefit to having some colored people and a couple of transes in the room full of trans. Perhaps. Perhaps they're not all bad. Maybe we need a few more in the war room. Cause what the fuck are y'all talking about?
Kid Fury
Furthermore, as if you don't have them already because y'all swear to God that you can clog everybody.
Crystal
Oh, well.
Kid Fury
But that's t for a different day.
Crystal
I could not. I. I was flummoxed. Like, I have zero expectations for these people. I know that they're a pack of dumb asses who were born to rich white families and that is all that they have ever needed.
Kid Fury
They have no semblance of how to like walk in a straight line, much less run a country, take care of people, have any sort of respect for themselves or others. Like, that's never been a part of their. Their life or their makeup. Like you said, most of them have been born into wealth and opportunity and given the guideline of how to continue to do so. And that is shit on less fortunate and continue to keep marginalized people marginalized and further marginalize them. That's really all that it is. So that's really. You were. Yeah. Don't let these. These motherfuckers.
Crystal
Do not let these white people make you feel no kind of way about yourself ever. Ever. Baby girl, look at this shit.
Kid Fury
You're always going to be the reason. Sweet dear. One of the one fierce things. That game I was just talking about, Assassin's Creed Shadows with a black samurai. He's in it again. I played like five or so hours of it. So just plastic. The beginning. He's in like the prologue and he. The Beginning of the game, he comes to Japan with these Portuguese people, he's a slave. And they tell him like they're trying to impress, I don't know if it's the shogun or whatever, like this powerful Japanese guy. And then these white Portuguese men tell him like, don't say anything when we go in here. Don't speak, you're a slave. We know. We're trying to make a good thing. When he goes in the room, he's quiet. And the Japanese man sitting at the head of the room or whatever can clock that he's looking around at the room and counting the swords just in case some shit goes down. And he's also never seen a black person, I guess before. So he basically bargains to get the nigga from the white people because he's like, I can tell you're capable, you're able bodied, you're strong and you can fight. It's something special about you. I want you to be a samurai for me. And I couldn't help but think of get out for some reason.
Crystal
Yeah.
Kid Fury
See why and how the white people in that movie weren't necessarily depicted as like out and out racists. They just wanted black bodies because they recognized they were better.
Crystal
But that is, there is, there's racist in the belief that black people are like inherently stronger and all this. Like.
Kid Fury
No, I know that. I'm just saying that they weren't, they weren't depicted as like, oh yeah, no.
Crystal
It'S not MAGA bullshit. No, it's the quiet everyday racism. That's what makes this so scary.
Kid Fury
Exactly. Literally that, that's what I'm saying. Like to that point, regardless of where anybody is leaning, the girls, because again, the popular vote was the popular vote. So I mean, regardless.
Crystal
But they also admitted to rigging the election. Like Trump is just out here being like, we weren't doing good. And then I talked to Elon and he got the election for me. He got it done. It's like, that sounds suspicious.
Kid Fury
I didn't hear about that.
Crystal
That. Oh well, it's. I mean, regardless, millions upon millions, tens of millions of people voted for this man they supported. And, and, and these rich assholes making these decisions, texting a bitch who ain't even in the conversation on signal, are the same ones who say, you don't dive, deserve no support for your family. And if y'all can't make ends meet and y'all can't afford groceries, then you need to go get another job. Meanwhile, people who have two or three jobs, anybody who has ever worked. Especially if you've been an assistant of any kind. Would have known to double check the names and contact information of everybody being added to the group chat. Especially if it was that fucking sensitive. We do that on regular ass emails every day. That's emails. You know why? Because 18 John Smiths work at this company.
Kid Fury
It's.
Crystal
It's basic shit that y'all don't know how to do because you've never actually had to work or learn anything that actually helps the rest of us in this real world. That's how you get away with doing something so sloppy and lazy. Imagine a black woman did some shit like this. Oh, we wouldn't even heard about it because they would have simply murdered her at work and quietly disposed of her body and she would have been replaced. They would have been inexpensive, excusable.
Kid Fury
Literally going to say that and thought maybe I was too.
Crystal
And yet there will be no consequences or repercussions for these people. And the. The Republicans really aren't going to give a. They're going to go along with it, cuz Trump and the Democrats are. Some of them are going to yell, some of them are going to wear a wristband. And you know, and what will really change? And that's my read for this week.
Kid Fury
Just.
Crystal
I mean, I was also gonna cuss myself out because I left Lainey for the first time this past weekend and I was like, weeping brokenhearted in the Uber over leaving Laney with the borders. And when I tell you she gave less than zero about me being gone.
Kid Fury
Not.
Crystal
I thought she was gonna like, lick all over me and be like, oh my God, Mommy, where have you been? Not. That bitch said, oh, what's up? We going home? And that was it. I was like, I cried so hard in the Uber that when the driver dropped me off, he said, it'll be okay.
Kid Fury
Welcome to having a puppy.
Crystal
This bitch was like, I'm sipping my ties with my homegirls on the beach. What the fuck is your.
Kid Fury
When I left, it made me happy. Thankfully. The first. Yeah, I mean, that's a good thing, but it's also normal. It's like, you know, that's your baby.
Crystal
I missed you so much. I thought about you every day. And you were like, ma, Mommy. Say it again. Mommy.
Kid Fury
I told you how I rode home in that car after she got. After Link got Spade and I saw them stitches.
Crystal
Yes.
Kid Fury
See, I felt like they gave me back my child's body.
Crystal
I literally was like, I might. I missed my baby before she was mutilated right so dramatic.
Kid Fury
Very dramatic. But they be fine. Thankfully. When I used to leave, when I started leaving Link, overnight the first time, like when we had shows and stuff when I was living in Harlem, that place, they would send me pictures.
Crystal
Oh, yeah, they send pictures and updates. I think they. I think I was getting on their nerves because I would ask them for the update before they sent it at like, 9am I'm like, how's Lainey? And they're like, we are just getting breakfast. Done.
Kid Fury
Who would. He was, like, her favorite, I guess. But he would send me pictures of her all the time, and she would just be in there acting like a tornado. Ass fool just running around.
Crystal
That's Lainey jumping playing.
Kid Fury
So I'm like, okay, well, she's chilling. You know, she's having a good time. She's having fun, does not remember me. So then I go pick her up, and she's like, ooh, let's go.
Crystal
She's like, oh, yeah, you back. I mean, you do usually come back. So I guess I'm not shocked, but I was just like, I am never gonna cry over leaving your little short ass again. I know that. I know that.
Kid Fury
Also, she's very young, and you weren't gone that long, so she probably.
Crystal
But it was the longest we've ever been apart. We've known it was three and a half days.
Kid Fury
She's probably.
Crystal
So I'm like, now that I know three and a half days is one day to you, then fine, then. Fine. Nigga. I'm finna be gone for weeks.
Kid Fury
When you're gone for, like, four or five days.
Crystal
Mm, you think?
Kid Fury
Watch how Lani act. Oh, I promise you, especially as she gets older, it's gonna be like, now.
Crystal
Wait a minute, bitch.
Kid Fury
So where the fuck have you been?
Crystal
Well, I guess we'll wait for Link.
Kid Fury
Like over the weekend or a couple days or something to go do something. Like when I went to Miami this past weekend for my dad's birthday, it was just like, whatever. She was coming back. Oh, hey.
Crystal
You here.
Kid Fury
You know, regular. Hey, how you doing? Yeah, but if I'm gone for, like, a week or something, Sha'carri, like, just zoomies. Like girls, baby. And that's nice. I'm like, I guess maybe I should leave you for a week now. We've been together so long. I need to concentrate a bit. No, I want to feel loved. I want to be. I want reminders that you are excited.
Crystal
Not, I want to feel loved. Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna appreciate Lainey's youth Here.
Kid Fury
Oh, yeah.
Crystal
Because I said that is the last time. And I do mean the last time I'll be crying over dropping your little ass off. That is the last time you're taking.
Kid Fury
Them to Disney World.
Crystal
Now I realize, I thought, well, you know, she's gonna be thrown off because she's spending so many nights there. No, no, she was spending the night, and there were always people in other dogs around. So this is. This is everything. This was. She was spending the night at Disneyland, literally. So that's the upside to putting her in daycare from an early age is she's very used to going with them. So I'm happy about that. But, yeah, stressed me right out. And then everybody's like, girl, this is just being a mom. This is a mom. This is momhood. It's exactly like this with my human kids, except I miss them less. Y'all be ready to vacate from them children. Kids work y'all nerves a lot worse than Lainey works mine.
Kid Fury
Well, lady can't ask you a whole bunch of questions. That ain't got nothing to do with shit.
Crystal
It's true. And she's always ready to go to sleep. If I'm ready to lay down. She ready to lay down.
Kid Fury
So eat, nap, fetch. I'm sold. Yeah, like, we are good.
Crystal
She don't need nothing else, Diva. In fact, last night, she was looking at me, and then she turned and walked towards the bed and then looked at me again like, you don't think maybe he. We could get in there and see?
Kid Fury
Maybe.
Crystal
What's that about? Like, you ready to go to bed? You can go to sleep.
Kid Fury
You're awake.
Crystal
Go to bed by yourself. Go to bed by yourself. Oh, no, you don't want to be.
Kid Fury
See, that's. She's attached. She loves her mama, but, like, not enough to be. I'm at Disney.
Crystal
Of course. I forgot I had a mom. I was at Disney at a sleep away Disney vacation with all my best friends.
Kid Fury
I'm literally hungover. I don't even know who you are right now.
Crystal
Oh, you got me, girl.
Kid Fury
I got so drunk.
Crystal
You got me, Lance. All right.
Kid Fury
I love them.
Crystal

Crystal
I'm like, you niggas don't surf and swag no more.
Kid Fury
Don't. Don't know.
Crystal
So that kind of. That kind of broke my heart. Either they didn't know it or they were like, that's an old bitch dance. I'm not doing it. But they just sat there looking like.
Kid Fury
They must have just been like, oh, okay, that's my mama.
Crystal
I don't know. I don't know.
Kid Fury

Crystal

Crystal
Well, we can't wobble. Standing room only venue now, but we can switch.
Kid Fury
