Bobby
No.
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
No, you're not. Are you older than Mark Cuban? You couldn't handle the zip patch.
John Stamos
Yeah, I didn't think it was.
Bobby
Well, when I was a child, I watched Full House and you were old still.
John Stamos
You probably watched reruns. I'm 62.
Bobby
Okay, you're older than I thought. Welcome to the really good podcast. Today I'm here with John Stamos. Do you know your name? It's so crazy because I feel like your name carries weight, you know, like, it's like John Stamos. Like I old. No, because you're John Stamos. I've seen you. Do you know, before? A long time ago in my life, you're the first celebrity I've ever seen in real life.
John Stamos
Was I nice?
Bobby
I didn't talk to you. I just saw you from afar at Disneyland.
John Stamos
You did?
Bobby
And my everybody was like, john Stamos is here. And I was like, who? Where? No. We were determined to find you and we saw you walk by and we were like, oh, my God. Do you know my dad is the biggest Disneyland fan?
John Stamos
Why didn't you say hi?
Bobby
You were a million feet away. Oh, and there was A lot of people around you, but we just. I do remember.
John Stamos
How long ago was that?
Bobby
I don't know, I was probably like, I was a kid, like 13, 14.
John Stamos
How old are you now?
Bobby
I'm 28. Do you dye your hair?
John Stamos
You know what? I dyed it today. I dyed it yesterday, last night.
Bobby
Is that why you don't look?
John Stamos
And my wife was like, you smell like hair dye, you better do something about it. I'm like, what the am I going to do about it?
Bobby
What you do? Nothing. Did she help you?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
Were you gray when I saw you last time?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
You, you don't want to go gray?
John Stamos
No, it was just kind of. I don't know, it was gray hair. I do sometimes, but I'm like. Usually I'm doing something that I can't talk about.
Bobby
I don't talk about it though.
John Stamos
I'm always with younger people or younger girls and stuff, so I don't want to look.
Bobby
Have you had a facelift?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
Everybody's having them.
John Stamos
I won't do that.
Bobby
You won't?
John Stamos
I don't feel like Botox on my forehead before, but not for a long time. And when I was a kid I had a nose job when I was a child.
Bobby
You had a nose job?
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Why?
John Stamos
Cuz it was kind of. I broke it when I was a kid. I got hit with a golf club. There's a little scar here. And I was on General Hospital, which
Bobby
is a soap opera. Yeah, of course.
John Stamos
And I just didn't like the way it looked and so I got it done and it didn't look great. And then I went. And then I actually had it fixed by Michael Jackson's guy.
Commercial Announcer
Really?
John Stamos
Yeah, but he didn't make me look at Michael Jackson, thank God. Do you, were you close with your parents? Do you have a good relationship with
Bobby
them or have you had. Do you have a good relationship with your parents?
John Stamos
They passed away.
Bobby
Oh my God, that's so sad. You're that old that your parents or did they when they. When you were young?
John Stamos
My dad was young. My dad was like 64.
Bobby
Was it easier to become famous back then than it is now?
John Stamos
Well, you tell me. I mean it seems like there's a lot of people that get famous from
Bobby
just social media, but social media is like short lived, I guess real. I guess being TV famous is also.
John Stamos
Could be right?
Bobby
Could be, huh?
John Stamos
Yeah, I, I don't know. I think to become an actor it might have been easier back then. It was easy for me. I was very lucky. I got right onto. But I was working at my dad's restaurant on the weekends and Sunday, and then I got General Hospital and I called home, I said, I got it on tv. And my dad was like, tell him you can't work on Sundays, you might say. And I had to keep working at the restaurant, and I would shoot the show during the week, and then, like, it aired, like, two weeks after you shot it, and it was really popular. And so people were starting to come into the restaurant going, like, can I have a cheat? Hey, aren't you going? No Comedy. Have you ever been to Disneyland with your dad?
Bobby
Of course I've had a. Even when we had no money for anything else, my dad would make sure that we paid at least a month of our monthly Disneyland pass ticket. My dad was their opening day. So he's like, oh, was he? Yeah, he was five years old when we took him on opening day. That's so cool. He just gave me film to develop that has Disneyland opening day. Like, I need to go get it developed.
John Stamos
Did you develop? You haven't developed?
Bobby
I'm going to.
John Stamos
You know, I collect, like, Disney stuff.
Bobby
I. My dad. My dad, when I tell you he's so excited for me to meet you because he knows you collect Disney stuff.
John Stamos
Is he here?
Bobby
He's not here. He said, please, please ask him where he keeps the Disneyland sign.
John Stamos
I have it in my backyard.
Bobby
Do you actually up.
John Stamos
But I have the whole sign that says so interesting. There was an auction. They were. It was right when ebay started. They were auctioning off Disney stuff.
Bobby
Who was? Disneyland.
John Stamos
Disneyland.
Commercial Announcer
Wow.
John Stamos
And they. And I should have bought all of it, because nowadays everything's. You know. But it was. The opening bid was like $33,000 or something. I said, oh, I'll do that, everybody. Michael Jackson wanted it. He called me, too.
Bobby
Really?
John Stamos
Hi, John.
Bobby
And you were just like, no, it's mine.
John Stamos
He called me after, and he really wasn't about to sign. It was a weird message. I was on ER at the time, and I remember playing it for the cast, and he was like, hi, John, this is Michael. You know, I really dig your stuff. Let's go to Disneyland sometime.
Bobby
Like, yeah. My dad has been like, my whole life. That's his favorite thing to do, is go talk about Disneyland. Everything just. He loves Disneyland. It's like his favorite.
John Stamos
I hope I get to meet him. I know you've been to Club 33.
Bobby
No, he. He told me today. He's like, I bet you. He said, I bet you John Stamos can get into Club 33. I was like, let's do it. He would. You would. He would talk your ear off, though.
John Stamos
Well, not saying. I'd go with him. If he get him.
Bobby
He would talk.
John Stamos
I'll be happy to. That'd be fun. I was just in. They just opened the new ride in Florida, the new rock and roll coaster. Yeah. I'm in it. Like, in the. In the. In the. In the queue there, you know, with the Muppets.
Bobby
You are?
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
That's pretty cool.
John Stamos
I've done some cool things, but I think that was one of the coolest,
Bobby
being with the Muppets.
John Stamos
Yeah. Do you like the Muppets?
Bobby
Like the little puppet?
John Stamos
Yeah, they are puppet. Yeah. How was Legoland?
Bobby
I like it better than Disneyland.
John Stamos
No, get out.
Bobby
I'm telling you now.
John Stamos
I got to go. Goodbye, everybody. It was nice to meet you.
Bobby
I'm telling you, you can't. Have you been there?
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
I went there and I was like, wow, why have I been taking you guys to Disneyland when I could have. Actually, I feel like at Disneyland, I'm always stressed out. There's sunglasses that don't really look like they block any sun.
John Stamos
Well, not in here they don't.
Bobby
Anywhere they get darker. These are not. Oh, they're like one of those. Are they prescription?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
What do you mean they get darker?
John Stamos
Like, if you go outside, they get darker.
Bobby
I don't believe you.
John Stamos
I swear to God. Leave the microphone and go outside.
Bobby
I'm just gonna put them right here, okay?
John Stamos
Oh, okay. That's gonna.
Bobby
Do you think they're actually gonna get darker? Maybe you made that up right now. They've never gotten darker a day in their life.
John Stamos
Do you think this interview is going well? Because you're a tough interview.
Bobby
Why am I tough? What's tough about this? This is lovely. They're not gonna get darker.
John Stamos
They are gonna get darker.
Bobby
It's okay. How long do you think you'll have sideburns for?
John Stamos
That's a good question.
Bobby
I think that's really the. What the people want to know.
John Stamos
Now she's getting into. Nah, she's starting to dig.
Bobby
Are you going to answer the question?
John Stamos
Sometimes I don't have them. Other times I have them.
Bobby
Really? Let me look up John Stamos without sideburns. I just can't picture it.
John Stamos
You're such a. You got to go to the phone all the time.
Bobby
You truly have sideburns? Always. All right, well, but do you think you'd ever just.
John Stamos
Sure. I have. For other. For parts and stuff?
Bobby
Yeah. Do parts ever want you to have Sideburns sometimes.
John Stamos
I just did the Hunting Wives. Did you watch that show?
Bobby
What is that?
John Stamos
You haven't seen that show?
Bobby
The Hunting Wives.
John Stamos
The Hunting Wives, yeah. Netflix.
Bobby
Do you like acting?
John Stamos
I do. I do like acting.
Bobby
You enjoy it? You want to do it forever?
John Stamos
Yeah, I think so. But I get to do music and I get to do.
Bobby
What do you mean when you say you do music? I play drums and play guitar.
John Stamos
And guitar.
Bobby
What does your kid do?
John Stamos
He likes drums and he. He's into theater now.
Bobby
Do you think he's gonna be an actor?
John Stamos
I know he's terrible at sports, like me. He's very funny. The other day he said, dad, you have beautiful hair. I said, thank you. He goes, how do you get it to come out of your nose like that? Swear to God. I go, you're a.
Bobby
Everyone says, my daughter, my oldest, is like a spitting image of what I was like when I was a kid. All right, so she's very funny. She's. She's a funny kid.
John Stamos
Did you want to be an actress?
Bobby
I. That's still my dream in life. It's been my dream since I was a child. I used to, like, do fake interviews in my.
John Stamos
You did?
Bobby
In my mirror. I'd be like, oh, thank you guys so much for coming today. Like, yeah. No, no, no. People ask me about this all the time. I would just sit in my mirror and just practice what it would be like to be interviewed by people I want.
John Stamos
Oh, you were. You were like the person on the top. So not that.
Bobby
Yeah. Somehow I ended up the person interviewing people, but the dream asking, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, no. I know, I know. I was just like, yeah, people. That was me in the mirror all the time. I look at my daughter and she's never met a mirror she didn't love. She.
John Stamos
That's what Sagitt used to say about me.
Bobby
Really? Who said it?
John Stamos
Saget. Bob Saget.
Bobby
Oh, he's. You call him Sagat.
John Stamos
Well, Bob Saget, yeah.
Bobby
Did you sign a prenup post?
John Stamos
Nup. But I. But I'm married twice in both times.
Bobby
Oh, you have?
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Is your ex wife remarried?
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
Who's your ex wife? Is it Lori Laughlin?
John Stamos
Oh, known.
Bobby
You marry her ever?
John Stamos
No, I didn't.
Bobby
That's why you didn't want to?
John Stamos
Well, we just. The timing was never right. We kind of. I think I. I remember going to Disneyland with her and kissing her at one point, but that we were both on the soap opera at the time. She denies it, but I think I don't know, but we were never really. We were always. She was married and I was married. We were never single at the same time. We're really good friends.
Bobby
How old were you when you did Full house?
John Stamos
I was 26 or 27 or something like that. Do you want to still? So you. Do you go on auditions or do you.
Bobby
I send them in every day. They're all on. Yeah. I hate that. I wish it could be like an in person.
John Stamos
Did you ever go on auditions and stuff when you were.
Bobby
When I was younger, my mom would take us to them. But you were a kid. Yeah, but I think we're getting scammed because we'd always do those little, like, acting schools where you pay. Yeah.
John Stamos
And did you ever get a job? No.
Bobby
They send me auditions here and there, but have you got one? So here's the thing. I feel like a lot of the ones that I get sent to me, I don't really want.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
They're always the same description. Like what I like. Am I typ casted? Yeah, please guess. Cuz I don't know why it's everything. It's usually like a ditzy influencer.
John Stamos
Oh, ditzy.
Bobby
Yes.
John Stamos
You're not bitchy, by the way.
Bobby
I know. Bitchy would be better than ditzy influencer.
John Stamos
I think it's your. I think it's your.
Bobby
My what? Why? I think it's ditzy influencer.
John Stamos
You know, you come off monotone a lot of times, but you're not now.
Bobby
But do you know why?
John Stamos
And you don't. And you don't have vocal fry now
Bobby
when you're talking to me.
John Stamos
I used to sometimes. You used to.
Bobby
No, I. Yeah. I was worried about you, John. What should I ask you?
John Stamos
You don't have to cuss. Just.
Bobby
I can't not cuss.
John Stamos
Okay. Well, you haven't cussed one bit this whole.
Bobby
I have. You just haven't paid attention.
John Stamos
I've been paying attention to you.
Bobby
Really?
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Okay, well, then do you want me to give you, like, the. Should I just. Right now, right here, start.
John Stamos
Give me a little vocal fry.
Bobby
I can't. I can't ever bring that. What do you. I hate. I hated having vocal fry. I actually had to work really hard on.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Southern California. Why don't you have vocal fry? I sound like a Kardashian. I used to. Because I kind of do sometimes.
John Stamos
That's right. So go back. Let's get back.
Bobby
What would I say? I would say, hi, guys. Well. And I also wouldn't smile okay.
John Stamos
At all.
Bobby
And Now I'm just so smiley all the time.
John Stamos
It's okay.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
But. Yeah, but go back to the old Bobby.
Bobby
Let's do it.

Bobby
Hi, guys. Welcome to the really good podcast. Today. I'm here with John Stamos. John.
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
It's so nice to have you here.
John Stamos
Thank you. It's nice to be here.
Bobby
Did you come out of retirement to come here?
John Stamos
How much does it cost to get your lips done like that?
Bobby
This is all natural, John.
John Stamos
What's natural?
Bobby
My lips.
John Stamos
Which one?
Bobby
Too much.
John Stamos
I ruined this whole bit. You were supposed to be the mean one and I turned into the asshole. Sorry. Let's go back to the nice one.
Bobby
No, no, no. Okay.
John Stamos
Keep it up. Go ahead.
Bobby
I'm sorry. You're sorry?
John Stamos
Did you come out of retirement for this? Yeah, I did. Yeah.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
That's funny. I just mentioned the Hunting Wives was the most popular show on Netflix.
Bobby
It's not the most popular show on Netflix. I really. I would bet $10. You willing to part ways with $10? I don't have time.
John Stamos
But what is considered the most popular?
Bobby
I don't know. We're gonna look up. What's the most popular show on Netflix?
John Stamos
What was the most popular show last year on Netflix?
Bobby
Oh. Oh, my God. 20. Okay. This is good. The most popular and most watched show on Netflix last year was Adolescence.
John Stamos
Next one.
Bobby
Okay. You weren't in that. As far as I know. Wednesday.
John Stamos
I wasn't in that.
Bobby
Missing you.
John Stamos
Missing you. Who's in that?
Bobby
I've never heard of that.
John Stamos
Is that 2024?
Bobby
2025? Because that's what you said. Stranger Things.
John Stamos
No, I'm not in that.
Bobby
Okay. John, I'm afraid to tell you, you're not in any of these. Fuller House was that popular.
John Stamos
Did anybody watch it on Netflix? It was very popular.
Bobby
Really? I've never met anybody that's watched Fuller House.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
How do I become an actor? Do you have any connections that you can.
John Stamos
Are you a good actor, you think?
Bobby
I think I really do think.
John Stamos
I. I bet you are good.
Bobby
I think I can act.
John Stamos
Have you done any sort of.
Bobby
I have no reason to believe that I'm good, but I.
John Stamos
That's good.
Bobby
In the shower, I feel confident that
John Stamos
I could sing in the shower or something.
Bobby
I act.
John Stamos
That's weird. Hi, showerhead. Hi. How you doing? Like, what scenes do you do in the shower?
Bobby
Like, if I'm doing a self tape, like, or in the shower, I'll do it by myself, to myself, in the shower.
John Stamos
What's the last self tape you've done?
Bobby
It was for a role that went to a real actress. Why would they ever let me. You know what? I hate when I do so much effort.
John Stamos
Right. Right.
Bobby
And then I find out that, like, a real actress got it. And I'm like, why did you ever let me audition for something that you knew I had no chance at?
John Stamos
Well, that's probably not true. But also, it's one of the things that makes it harder, I think, to start now is that, like, guys like me are taking guest spots on shows and girls that are, you know, that are.
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
Have long resumes are probably beating you out because, you know. Because they've been around.
Bobby
I know. And I'm like, no one. I just need one person to trust me. I think I would be good. I hope so. I've heard it takes a lot of no's to get a yes. So I'm really. I'm Getting all the no's.
John Stamos
That's a good bumper sticker.
Bobby
It's a great bumper sticker.
John Stamos
It's a lot of nose to get a yes. I. Yeah, I guess it does. I get a lot. You get a lot of.
Bobby
Do you get nose still?
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
You audition for things?
John Stamos
No, I haven't. I would.
Bobby
When do you get nose professionally and you get no's.
John Stamos
Well, I wanted to be on White Lotus. My friend does that and he didn't put me on this year.
Bobby
Next year I think I could do.
John Stamos
Did you do nudity?
Bobby
No. No. Never mind. I would not do anything.
John Stamos
Do you like musicals?
Bobby
I do not. That's the one thing I'm sure I would never do. Music.
John Stamos
I did one musical though, that you would like called Cabaret, which was like this raw, sexy, you know.
Bobby
What makes you think like that?
John Stamos
Well, because it wasn't. It's like a non music. People that don't like musicals loved that show. And so there was. So. It made sense that there was some singing. You know, it was sort of like a show going on and I was in. My whole body was. There was a lot of near new. I shoved my butt in it, actually.
Bobby
Ew.
John Stamos
And it was a. There was a swastika.
Bobby
Were you old? Oh, my God. So it's like your young butt, not your old butt. That's good.
John Stamos
And it was the best thing I've ever done. I loved. It was in Studio 54. Do you know where that is in New York?
Bobby
Nope.
John Stamos
Do you.
Bobby
Did you have to travel a lot for acting?
John Stamos
I have shot. I've done five shows on Broadway where I had to live in New York for some time. And I shot in Canada and those hunting wives, which you, you know, seem to have some issue with.
Bobby
I'm going to. What if I like it? I'm going to watch it and I'm going to.
John Stamos
I think you would like it.
Bobby
I'll watch it.
John Stamos
Did you always do interviews in bed or was that just that one?
Bobby
Just that one.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
We don't have to talk about it.
Bobby
No, it's. I don't have an issue talking about it, but that was the only one.
John Stamos
That guy used to live down the street from me, by the way.
Commercial Announcer
Drake?
Bobby
That guy.
John Stamos
Well, who? Well, I mean, Drake. I mean, I don't know him.
Bobby
Did. What did you call. You didn't. You weren't.
John Stamos
I never met him.
Bobby
What type of neighbor are you?
John Stamos
Pretty good.
Bobby
You didn't bring like.
John Stamos
He supposedly had parties once a year and invited the whole neighborhood.
Bobby
But not you.
John Stamos
But not Me, I think. To be honest with you, I think he. I. He didn't. He moved out. I was there for about a year or two, and then I think he was gone. I never saw him. I don't. I've never met him.
Bobby
I have bad adhd. I think my. I think it's been passed down. It's all of the negative.
John Stamos
Pretty focused today.
Bobby
I'm not.
John Stamos
I seem.
Bobby
Right now. Sure. I. That's the one thing I can do. I can talk. I can't, like, focus on anything. Cleaning my house. Even before you came here, I was like, I need to clean my house and clean. Yeah. Do you know how many other tasks I got done during that? Because I would just jump around. I'm like, oh, I need to clean. Oh, wait, but let me paint my nails first. Let me do this. Like, I was just kind of put
John Stamos
the thing on the forehead, but let
Bobby
me put a zip patch on. Let me just do a mask. Yeah, I got ready in the 30 minutes, like before you got here. That's the only time I was actually being productive. I just want to become really good at one thing. I have, like. You have acting. I need something like that. I just want to.
John Stamos
You have acne.
Bobby
I've.
John Stamos
Sorry. That was. That was. That was old. Bobby.
Bobby
That's.
John Stamos
It's fine. John. I'm sorry. Acting.
Bobby
Say your last name. Stamos. I feel like I always find out I'm saying people's names wrong. What's your middle name?
John Stamos
Phillip.
Bobby
Is that why you don't say it?
John Stamos
Yeah, that's right. That's. Yo, Bobby. That's good.
Bobby
John Philip Stamos. Yeah. That would have killed him. That would have killed it.
John Stamos
John.
Bobby
Don't do that.
John Stamos
Hurt your throat.
Bobby
What's your favorite thing about me?
John Stamos
Oh, okay.
Bobby
What did you think I was going to say?
John Stamos
It's just. What's your favorite thing is. Is. It's.
Bobby
It could go a lot of ways. I'm gonna break out the snack, but I'm.
John Stamos
I like the new Bobby.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
I like the new Bobby.
Bobby
Out with the old and with the new.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
If you had to give, like, based up, you're kind of old now. You want some cashews? Do you healthy?
John Stamos
Can I have one? I'm trying to quit, sugar. I gotta get in shape because I'm doing something this summer that I need to be in shape for.
Bobby
Do they help you get in shape when you have to get in shape for things? No, you just have to just do it.
John Stamos
I work out with this trainer, and I wear this I wear this suit, okay? It's a electro electric muscle stimulation. 20 minutes.
Bobby
That's it.
John Stamos
That's it.
Bobby
I can tell.
John Stamos
Three times. That's good.
Bobby
Let's get back at it.
John Stamos
Bravo. Get back on that shitty horse.
Bobby
Maybe you should do Shitty Horse.
John Stamos
That's a good name.
Bobby
Have you thought of 40 minutes? Have you?
John Stamos
This is the Bobby.
Bobby
Answer the question. John Stamos.
John Stamos
I've been told.
Bobby
J. Wow.
John Stamos
See what I'm saying?
Bobby
I feel like I have the same muscles. You do not feel it, John.
John Stamos
A little sweat.
Bobby
There's not much there.
John Stamos
How much more do you need?
Bobby
I don't know. I just feel like.
John Stamos
You don't have muscle.
Bobby
I have a little one. Look.
John Stamos
What are these shitty tattoos?
Bobby
They're all getting removed. Don't call them shitty.
John Stamos
Well, they're little. I just got my first tattoo.
Bobby
I just got all of mine removed.
John Stamos
You did it hurt?
Bobby
No, but low key. I regret it. I do. I make impulsive decisions and then I'm like, I'm back.
John Stamos
Oh, well, you could do that.
Bobby
I know. I think I'm gonna have to go find the same person and be like, can you actually rewrite this all on me?
John Stamos
I got my first tattoo about a couple months ago.
Bobby
What is it?
John Stamos
It's an old Beach Boy. It's a logo that they used sort of later on in their career. Know who the Beach Boys are?
Bobby
Give me the beat, boy.
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
That's it, is it?
John Stamos
No. You know who the Beach Boys are?
Bobby
I don't know who they are. Sing me a song real quick.
John Stamos
Aruba to me.
Bobby
Okay. I do.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
What did I just.
John Stamos
We're playing at the Hollywood Bowl.
Bobby
We are like. You are with me and you.
John Stamos
Yeah, they. I am with them on July 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Will you come?
Bobby
You're a Beach Boy.
John Stamos
I've been playing with them since way before you were. Since 1985. So 41. 41 years.
Bobby
Are you. That's like your.
John Stamos
I don't consider my Beach Boy, but I've been touring with them for many years.
Bobby
Why?
John Stamos
What's your favorite band? Drake.
Bobby
My little. My. My daughter Luda. My daughter is. Do you know Alex, Lauren and that
John Stamos
song, that one song, Ordinary? Yeah. My daughter from Instagram. Where did she hear it?
Bobby
It's a huge popular. Like his. Every song of his.
John Stamos
She doesn't listen to the radio. Where does she hear it from? Instagram?
Bobby
Spotify? My daughter's not on Instagram.
John Stamos
She sits around, goes on Spotify. By herself?
Bobby
No, I play her music.
John Stamos
Okay, good.
Bobby
So that's why she doesn't like all of it.
John Stamos
Can you sing?
Bobby
No.
John Stamos
That's why you're not successful.
Bobby
Is that. Do you sing?
John Stamos
No. Yeah. I don't like to sing, though. I'm not a good singer.
Bobby
But I do sing. Yeah. I wouldn't expect you to be a good singer.
John Stamos
But why?
Bobby
I don't know. You just don't look like you would start singing.
John Stamos
I don't like singing.
Bobby
I can tell.
John Stamos
I've been in a lot of musicals. Did your kids watch? You know, I was in Little Mermaid Live. Have they watched that? I bet they.
Bobby
What was your character?
John Stamos
I played the chef.
Bobby
You did? I'll watch it again and I'll look out for you. My daughter truly only watches Alex Warren on YouTube.
John Stamos
Really?
Bobby
She loves him. She's having a birthday party and she asked me to get him to come. No, I should have. No, listen, I did post. I posted on my story a video of her singing because she just. She knows every. She'll listen. She has. This is a crazy memory. She'll listen to a song once and then the next.
John Stamos
Because they don't have a bunch of shit in their heads. That's why My kid can remember everything, too.
Bobby
Really, it's. It's so crazy. She goes. Until. So she started singing, and I recorded her in the car, and I posted on my story, and I was just like, Alex Warren's biggest fan. And then he replied to it and was like, you should bring her. Bring her to a show or something like that. Something along those lines. And I told my daughter, I said. And she's like, oh, my God. And she got so excited, she said she wants to marry him. I told him he has a wife. And then she said, well, can I meet her, his wife, too? And I was like, yeah, you. Like, I don't know if you're. I don't know if we're gonna meet him, but for her birthday, you taking
John Stamos
her to a show?
Bobby
Yes. And she's so excited. She tells everyone every day, like, I'm going to see Alex Warren for my birthday. She loves him so much. Like, I've never seen a kid with, like, such weird.
John Stamos
I mean, I guess not.
Bobby
I mean, no. I loved the Jonas Brothers. I wanted to marry Joe Jonas.
John Stamos
He's cool.
Bobby
I used. My little sister had Nick, I had Joe, and then my older sister had Kevin. And when we went to the concert, that was like the best my. And that's why I know my daughter's gonna remember this forever. But my.
John Stamos
Yeah, right.
Bobby
My family.
John Stamos
That was your first concert?
Bobby
My first. And like only concert. Really?
John Stamos
Really?
Bobby
Yeah. I wasn't here.
John Stamos
Will you come to the Hollywood bowl when I play there?
Bobby
Probably not.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
Yeah. But thank you for the invite.
John Stamos
You're welcome.
Bobby
I'll bring my dad, actually.
John Stamos
Your dad would love it. And your dog and kids love the Beach Boys.
Bobby
Really?
John Stamos
Yeah. They have a few more hits. They do. They have a few more hits than Alex.
Bobby
I don't think they do.
John Stamos
You don't think they have.
Bobby
I actually don't think. I think that.
John Stamos
Get the money.
Bobby
More relevant. It's going to be Alex Rowan. Yes, he is the Beach Boys. To. Okay. To not the elderly.
John Stamos
The what?
Bobby
The elderly.
John Stamos
The what?
Bobby
The elderly. You can't hear.
John Stamos
Yes. No. Yeah. I'm deaf. I'm.
Bobby
Are you?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
Do you wear a hearing aid?
John Stamos
No. There's the old Bobby. OG Bobby.
Bobby
What age does it. Does that start?
John Stamos
I don't know. I don't need one.
Bobby
Do you wear glasses?
John Stamos
What?
Bobby
Did you say Glasses. Oh, my God. What did you say?
John Stamos
You fell right into it.

The Beach Boys. My dad Would my dad love that?
John Stamos
Kokomo Good Vibrations don't.
Bobby
These aren't ringing any bells in my head.
John Stamos
Go on. There.
Bobby
I bet you if I hear it. But I would never play it. Like, I'm never like.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
I bet your kids know I'm in the mood to listen to the Beach Boys.
John Stamos
You should be.
Bobby
I'm not 70.
John Stamos
What do you want to hear? Red. Sexy Red. That's. She's good.
Bobby
I listen to Alex Warren. That's really all one hit. No.
John Stamos
Name another song.
Bobby
He has eternity. Look. Look at my searches. I'm like, Find place to die. This is a great.
John Stamos
Find Place to Die. That's a good one for your daughter.
Bobby
She'd listen to the. It's a beautiful. So. His voice is beautiful.
John Stamos
He is a beautiful voice.
Bobby
You can't deny that. Look.
John Stamos
Can't deny his voice. You know, I was listening to today.
Bobby
The Beach Boys.
John Stamos
Shaggy?
Bobby
Who the is Shaggy?
John Stamos
Now we're getting into it.
Bobby
You don't know Shaggy? Like, from Scooby Doo? Yeah. No.
John Stamos
I'm starting to get tired. No, I'm kidding.
Bobby
John, drink your water. Trying to lose some weight. Are you trying to gain weight or lose weight?
John Stamos
Lose. I eat too much sugar.
Bobby
What are you eating?
John Stamos
Addicted to sugar.
Bobby
Have you seen the viral dot cake everywhere?
John Stamos
Viral what? Doc? Cake.
Bobby
I'm gonna stop repeating myself and just see what you pick up. I'm speaking English.
John Stamos
This is the. This is the good stuff. Have you seen Alex Warren?
Bobby
That probably. I love him. I love Alex.
John Stamos
Did your daughter just go on YouTube by herself?
Bobby
No, I searched Alex Warren for her in the car.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
Because I let her watch TV in the. The car.
John Stamos
That makes sense.
Bobby
And so she'll play all of his.
John Stamos
By the way, people at home, rich people have TVs in their car. Go ahead.
Bobby
I feel like even when I was poor, I would. They had an iPad.
John Stamos
Oh, an iPad.
Bobby
Yeah. Yeah. It's not a tv, it's just. It's an iPad.
John Stamos
You said I let her watch TV in the car.
Bobby
An iPad in the car. John Stamos, where do you shop?
John Stamos
I don't.
Bobby
What? Grocery store. Oh, you don't grocery shop? Are you. Yeah, I have.
John Stamos
Huh.
Bobby
Do you make a lot of money?
John Stamos
I have gone to grocery stores.
Bobby
Do you make a lot of money?
John Stamos
I have made money.
Bobby
Like, you're.
John Stamos
I live next to Drake.
Bobby
I guess you're right. There's no way that he was in, like, a cheap house. So you're probably like, I've been.
John Stamos
I've done okay with my money.
Bobby
Just. Why? Why did you not eat that cashew John?
John Stamos
I will. I'm listening.
Bobby
What would you. What would you be saving these crumbs of cashew for?
John Stamos
I like to eat in bed, too. My way.
Bobby
What does that have to do with you tearing apart this poor cashew? He didn't deserve that. I'm gonna die, but cashew. My throat.
John Stamos
See, that's why I don't eat them all so fast like you. I don't want to die. Especially on this show.
Bobby
What if you. That'd be great. That'd be my most.
John Stamos
Good for you.
Bobby
I'd put it out.
John Stamos
I'm sure you would.
Bobby
I'd Put it out. No, don't.
John Stamos
Filler makes.
Bobby
I've had lip filler. That's all. I don't need any other fat face. People think I have cheek filler and everything. And I'm like, it's just fat.
John Stamos
It's good. But it's. It's.
Bobby
It's a full filler.
John Stamos
I don't know why people would get filler.
Bobby
It depends on who you go to. But I think, generally speaking, it's okay to age. I think that's something. And it's. I can say that because I haven't 28.
John Stamos
And I can say because.
Bobby
Because you've aged gracefully. But I guess if I was. If I was looking in the mirror and I did start. I do get scared because sometimes I'll see, like, fine lines right here.
John Stamos
Start doing that.
Bobby
No, no, no. I just. I just. But I do take care.
John Stamos
Like, I never have any lines on your face.
Bobby
No. But if I don't moisturize, I'll see.
John Stamos
Moisturize.
Bobby
Well, no, I. That's what I think you can do. Is I take 28? Yeah. I'm about to be 29.
John Stamos
When's your birthday?
Bobby
July 31st.
John Stamos
August.
Bobby
What are you gonna buy me for my birthday?
John Stamos
I'm gonna send you something.
Bobby
Are you.
John Stamos
I think we can be. Do you think we can be friends?
Bobby
I think so. I think we should have a playdate. Our kids are almost.
John Stamos
Oh, you mean with the kids?
Bobby
Yes. And I'll go when you do the VIP tour so I don't have to pay for it.
John Stamos
Yes, yes, yes. Will you?
Bobby
I would. What do you mean? Of course.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
That's not even a question. And I'm gonna go to Club 33.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
I went one time.
John Stamos
Was it fun?
Bobby
My uncle worked for AT T and they would, like, let, for some reason him go once a year.
John Stamos
Yeah, there's a. There's a. There's a. Like a lounge next to it that you have to go with a club member, but that's. That's where you want to go to. That's pretty cool.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
You drink.
Bobby
Is there. Sometimes I'll have a drink. Do you go underground at Disneyland? Is that real? Yeah. Well, that's such a. I feel like only you can get away with that. Does everybody. Does every celebrity go underground?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
Like, you don't have to walk through all the crowds.
John Stamos
Sometimes you do. But they have called backstage. We can kind of go backstage.
Bobby
That's so lucky. I've never had Disneyland.
John Stamos
I went with Josh. I remember going in the tunnels with
Bobby
him because he Got access. You don't get access.
John Stamos
I wrote a book called if you would have told me.
Bobby
And What. What would you have told?
John Stamos
Well, if I would have. When I was a kid, if you would have told me I got to walk in the tunnels, you know, if I got to meet the Muppets, I got to be on Bobby Altoff's thing. I just wouldn't have believed it, really. But I'm just saying that out of gratitude. My life is. I can't. I just can't even believe all the great things I get to do.
Bobby
I know. Isn't that cool? I think it's cool. Well, our kids are never gonna know what that was like, to have to work for things.
John Stamos
Yeah. Right, right, right, right.
Bobby
I think you need to get a divorce. You see, your.
John Stamos
I had to have some. Broke my heart.
Bobby
Why?
John Stamos
Because I didn't want to get divorced.
Bobby
She wanted to.
John Stamos
Oh. Took me a long time to get a. But I have to say that I am sort of. I'm. I mean, she has a nice life. She married another guy. She has kids. They're doing great. I met him recently. It was very interesting. He was very sweet. He was very nice.
Bobby
Why'd you. On purpose. You met him.
John Stamos
We were at a party together, and he came over and he was super nice. He couldn't have been sweeter. He was very, very funny and very charming, and we. I don't. I'd maybe met him once 20, 30 years ago, and then they. And they. And I haven't. But I haven't seen her since we got. Since we got divorced.
Bobby
Really? Was it weird? Oh, you guys are barely married.
John Stamos
We were together 10 years.
Bobby
Oh, 1994. Yeah, I guess.
John Stamos
Can you count?
Bobby
No, actually, because I was like. I'm really bad at math and math, too. Do you believe in manifesting? Yes, I. I do think I believe in that. I don't know why I do, too, but I think that I've manifested everything
John Stamos
I manifested to be on this show.
Bobby
I'm sure you did.
John Stamos
I remember when you first came out and I said I would. I would like to be on her show.
Bobby
What I want to do is act. And if I don't, then I failed at life. But I do think that I can. I'm giving it my haul. I'm going to get an acting coach.
John Stamos
I'm going to, like, maybe one day we'll work together.
Bobby
I would love to be like, Ask them if I can be a hunting wife. Are you done with that show?
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
I don't.
Bobby
You got anything else you could throw me in. Just do me a favor.
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
Maybe a Nepo friend. Is that a thing?
John Stamos
Let me think. What? I got something.
Bobby
Do you have a Nepo friend? Opportunities. I just need somebody to give me a chance. Just throw me in your movie if you're watching.
John Stamos
Someone hasn't. Who called? Let me talk to you.
Bobby
You're not answering my.
John Stamos
Let me answer it.
Bobby
I need you to focus. Do you know Rob Lowe's?
John Stamos
Yes. Who is that?
Bobby
He's goodlook.
John Stamos
Was that Rob Lowe?
Bobby
Yeah, it was Rob Lowe.
John Stamos
People confuse us sometimes.
Bobby
That's.
John Stamos
And he. That's nice that we always goof on each. It's a flattery to me.
Bobby
Yeah. What do you think to him?
John Stamos
Touche.
Bobby
I. I was telling you my goals in life. If you cared.
John Stamos
Go ahead.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
Acting.
Bobby
Acting. And then I want to start a daycare.
John Stamos
Oh, really?
Bobby
That's my dream in life. That. Be cute. So also, if you have any connections to the daycare world.
John Stamos
What connections? Just.
Bobby
I don't know. No. Because I have this idea. Right. So here's the thing. Now that I'm become a mom and I. I have some money, I've sent my kids to schools that I'm like, wow, that's really amazing. And it's like, unlike what I kind of like the things I saw growing up and just the experiences I had.
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
And I do feel like when I was younger, I felt like very frustrated because there's so many kids who were way more privileged and just had lives that I want. I was always envious of people. And I have this idea of starting not like maybe like some sort of daycare or something like preschool maybe where the kids get the same. Maybe even like a private school. I don't know. But I want them to get the same like education and experiences as rich kids. But like they don't have to pay for it. Where the parents can drop them off and like, truly be carefree and like be like, I can go work and I can do. Go do whatever I need to do, but I don't have. Yeah. Like some sort of something that the parents are not worried. And it's like it's not. And like it's like it's in a. Like, it's just. It's very nice. And all the experiences are. Because like my kids preschool. I was like, this is crazy the things they do here. And I'm like, but it's so fun. And my daughter loves it. And I'm like, I want everybody to have that experience. So my dream in life Is to have. I need to. And I also want an excuse to be around kids forever.
John Stamos
That's so cool.
Bobby
I want. I need a daycare. That's my dream.
John Stamos
All right, I think you can do that.
Bobby
I love being the house that all the kids come to. Yeah, I love that. And that's. I want to be like that forever. But I'm like, yeah, that's. My dream is to one day open a daycare. But act. Get me the money, because it's not exactly like a. It's like a. It's not a dream. That's gonna make me money.
John Stamos
I gotta tell you this. This bench is not comfortable.
Bobby
I've got to tell you. The new ones being installed this week. You came. I'm sorry.
John Stamos
I mean, it's just coming.
Bobby
It's so beautiful.
John Stamos
That's what we're sitting on, folks.
Bobby
Every episode that I filmed in this house has been getting, like, slight upgrades. Yours is the only one that there's been no upgrades for. Like, the first episode, the pictures were not like. It's just. It's been going up.
John Stamos
You see how I'm doing? Takes after things. You try one.
Bobby
But what was the take?
John Stamos
I was like, you know, like sitcom.
Bobby
Yeah. Is that what I should start doing? Just make faces after each one?
John Stamos
What's in your refrigerator? Anything good?
Bobby
Nothing good. Do you want a blueberry? You said you want to be healthy.
John Stamos
We grow blueberries. My wife is a beautiful garden.
Bobby
Is your wife good at gardening?
John Stamos
Yes.
Bobby
Or do you guys have.
John Stamos
No, no, she does it. And I do it too, with her. But she does. Mainly she has chickens.
Bobby
Oh, I wanna. I want chickens. I want silky chickens.
John Stamos
What kind?
Bobby
Silky.
John Stamos
All right.
Bobby
They're not, like, gross looking.
John Stamos
I had four eggs from the chickens this morning.
Bobby
Ew. I've gotten recently grossed out by eggs again. I go in.
John Stamos
Don't tell me. Because I like.
Bobby
I mean, you like eggs right now?
John Stamos
Yeah. Because it's good protein.
Bobby
Yeah. I just started. I went to a farm.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
And he. And he got.
John Stamos
I should have brought you eggs.
Bobby
My kids like them and I. I'm not, like, projecting my. They are good, but I don't like that. It's a chicken's period.
John Stamos
See, this is when we do a. Take chickens period.
Bobby
What do you like that? Like, doesn't that gross you out a little bit?
John Stamos
It does now.
Bobby
It's like he was, like, describing it too much to me where I've come home and I've. I've been like. I don't really. I can't look at an egg Right now, chicken. It comes out of their butt.
John Stamos
Really?
Bobby
An egg. You should know this. You have chicken. I didn't know that.
John Stamos
Where did you think it came out their butt? Yeah.
Bobby
I don't know. I don't know.
John Stamos
I clean the eggs.
Bobby
Yeah, but it really is like. It's. It's their. Like, it'd be the same as, like, when women are ovulating if their egg just went and they ate it. I don't like that.
John Stamos
Okay.
Bobby
So I've.
John Stamos
I'm having that for me.
Bobby
I just can't. I think I need to be vegan.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
But I eat fish.
John Stamos
What? Do you eat fish? Do you eat chicken?
Bobby
I. I could. I could say I do. But when I do eat it, I, like, pick around because I'm really disgusted by it the whole time. I really think I was meant to be vegan. I. I think too deeply about things. No, I would. I've been and I. I hate it. But I love crab.
John Stamos
Who.
Bobby
What movie did anybody put me in? John Stamos.
John Stamos
What movie am I gonna present?
Bobby
Who could help me?
John Stamos
I do.
Bobby
Please.
John Stamos
I have something coming up.
Bobby
I'm begging you. I'm so funny.
John Stamos
I would think that you would be.
Bobby
I. I guess I've never tried to even make it known that I want to act. I'm just kind of like, this is it. Please, now. And now. If it doesn't happen, it'll be extra embarrassing if I don't manifest it.
John Stamos
Just keep going. There's something that I really wanted to do, and I'm going to do it this summer, and I can't say yet.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
But I've been manifesting it, and it's going to come true.
Bobby
And it came true.
John Stamos
It's. Yes.
Bobby
That's amazing. I'm going to.
John Stamos
My whole life, I manifested everything. I manifested being an actor, being famous, playing with the Beach Boys, all those things.
Bobby
What is the song I keep thinking of when you say Beach Boys? Give me.
John Stamos
Give me the beat.
Bobby
Boys.
John Stamos
Boys. It's Drift Away. A song called Drift Away.
Bobby
That's not one of those old bands at all.
John Stamos
Do you know this song?
Bobby
I feel like they play these at Disneyland.
John Stamos
They do.
Bobby
I know. My dad loves them.
John Stamos
What a face.
Bobby
Oh, I've heard this. Oh, I've heard this, too. John. Is your name short for Jonathan?
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
Okay. John, do you think that if the Beach Boys just started now, they'd be famous?
John Stamos
That's a great question.
Bobby
Yeah. Do you think all of those people. What is the other. The Beatles. Do you think if they came out right now, yeah. Do you think if they came out right now, they'd be popular?
John Stamos
The music is better than anything that's out now. Even better than Oliver, whatever his name is, your guy.
Bobby
Don't disrespect Alex Warren.
John Stamos
Alex, you're gonna get the most if you. No, no, I know it. My singing teacher works with him. This music. The Beatles, the Beach Boys, the Stones. Like, those songs are better than.
Bobby
Have you ever thought that? That's maybe because you have, like, an old ear. Like, it's like your ear. Like, stuff like that.
John Stamos
I. My ear isn't that old, but I grew up listening.
Bobby
Exactly.
John Stamos
This is heart music. It bypasses the brain, goes straight to the heart.
Bobby
It doesn't do that to me.
John Stamos
It would have if you let me play longer than 10 seconds, but when
Bobby
I hear it, I'm just like, okay,
John Stamos
you're gonna get hate.
Bobby
I am.
John Stamos
Or you're gonna get people. Because people.
Bobby
I don't even think they're in my. Like, I don't think young people.
John Stamos
If you're watching this, give her some flack for this. Beach Boy hate. I like new music, too, but I.
Bobby
But, yeah, I don't think that's a
John Stamos
bad bust of rhymes. I saw him this weekend.
Bobby
Did you? I like. No, none of that music. I wouldn't ever be like, play the Beach Boys, please.
John Stamos
What about, like, play who? I would say the oldest music you think you would like.
Bobby
Okay, let me think. Spice Girls.
John Stamos
Okay, fair enough.
Bobby
Destiny's Child. These are old.
John Stamos
Yes, they are.
Bobby
Okay. That never. Would I be like, I like. I like. Did you watch Kanye West? Old Kanye? Yes, I did.
John Stamos
Beach Boys were on there all the time. We did music on them. Do you like Elvis Presley?
Bobby
No, I would never be. Play Elvis Presley, please.
John Stamos
You're gonna get some. Eight.
Bobby
I am. Does anybody listen to Elvis Presley? That's under 30.
John Stamos
Yeah. Give me my shot here. People love Alex Warren. I'm not bagging on him at all. I love him. But people also like at least some of this older music.
Bobby
Sure, but.
John Stamos
And Spice Girls and, you know, and Beyonce and stuff. That's cool, too.
Bobby
But I just don't think young people are, like. Exactly. When I go to the Hollywood bowl, do you think there's going to be. What's the demographic when we play it?
John Stamos
When I play with the Beach Boys at certain venues, there's a lot of young people. People that come still. It's. We played a Stagecoach last year. Stagecoach.
Bobby
Well, that's like. People are forced to. They buy the ticket to Stagecoach.
John Stamos
No, they were forced there's different places to go. 60, 000 people loved the Beach Boys at Stagecoach.
Bobby
People came for them. They're like, oh, people came for all of it.
John Stamos
Look, I don't want this whole podcast to be me defending the Beach Boys, but if you had half a brand.
Bobby
Well, because you are. You are. Okay, I'm gonna come.
John Stamos
You like the Beatles?
Bobby
I don't dislike the Beatles. No. Do you want more tattoos, John Stamos?
John Stamos
I do, yes.
Bobby
How many more?
John Stamos
And how many did you have?
Bobby
I have the 10.
John Stamos
Like, about three or four maybe.
Bobby
That's kind of like. Are you having a midlife crisis?
John Stamos
It's past mid.
Bobby
I guess you're right. You don't have much longer.
John Stamos
I know. That's why I wanna. That's why I want to get more tattoos. Who cares? No.
Bobby
How much longer?
John Stamos
I'm gonna live to be at least 100.
Bobby
Okay. That's ambitious.
John Stamos
So what?
Bobby
I don't think you're gonna live till 100.
John Stamos
What are we talking about? Manifesting. You're a man manifesting.
Bobby
Men don't live that long.
John Stamos
Healthy men do.
Bobby
A hundred.
John Stamos
What's women do? Live longer than men.
Bobby
You want to live to death. Do you think that's why. How old is your wife? You found a young wife?
John Stamos
She's younger than me.
Bobby
Is she a lot younger than you?
John Stamos
We don't need to get into that. Like, what's so.
Bobby
AKA she's 28. No, no, she just turned 40. Okay. Oh, but you're. See, it's like. I think it's fine because you do look like you could be 45, but you are actually nearing 70, which is interesting.
John Stamos
I'm not nearing 70.
Bobby
What are you, 62. Okay, you're getting there. 62, 63. You're almost there.
John Stamos
I don't even care. I don't care about age.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
No issues with them.
Bobby
Why do you want to live to 100?
John Stamos
Because I want to be around to see my son.
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
You know, grow up. And. And you grow up. Hopefully get an acting job. That's why I want to live to be 100. To see you get it.
Bobby
Okay. I hope it happens.
John Stamos
I think it will. My 90s.
Bobby
In your name. I just did it.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Commercial and the next 100 wives. Glad we both went there.
John Stamos
You're. I bet your people will. You know, when you ever get feedback on this, they'll know that show.
Bobby
I'm sure they will. Let me just figure out how much time you have left. You're 62.
John Stamos
Go ahead.
Bobby
72. 82 is probably okay. You've got about 30 years. Yeah, 35.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
That's not bad. That's, like, more than I've ever been alive, so I think that's pretty good. Yeah.
John Stamos
I can't imagine I'm gonna live each day. Not at all.
Bobby
I guess that you could die any day, anybody. But that scares me to think that.
John Stamos
Do you think you'll outlive me?
Bobby
I hope so. I better outlive you.
John Stamos
I hope so.
Bobby
I better not die. If any reason you.
John Stamos
I mean, you'll outlive me. Yeah, but that's why we got to make the most of every day, right?
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
That's what you're doing. You're a good mother. You're a good podcast.
Bobby
And I'm gonna go see the Beach Boys.
John Stamos
You're gonna come to the show on July and you're gonna be like, you know what? I'm glad I came. My kids had so much fun. They could run around with my son and they. You can have picnic stuff there.
Bobby
Okay. Like, I bring my own picnic. It's.
John Stamos
They have food there if you want, but you can. I don't think you bring your own.
Bobby
You can't bring.
John Stamos
Were you trying to think of byop?
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
You didn't get it.
Bobby
Yeah, no, I did get it.
John Stamos
No. You want pee, baby?
Bobby
I said it. I said it. Jonathan, I. I.
John Stamos
Call me Jonathan. I like that. Will you bring incense to the show?
Bobby
I was going to. Is that fine? I'm gonna sage the audience.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Because no, I. I think this is great. I'm so happy I met you. Because I do think this is. It's gonna be a good opportunity for me. I don't know what you're gonna get out of it, but I am gonna get. You're gonna put me in something. You're gonna. You're gonna talk. I know you have a director. I know you have a director in your phone contacts.
John Stamos
Yeah, I think producers on television, who makes.
Bobby
Who casts tv.
John Stamos
Probably more producers.
Bobby
Okay. No, I want to be in a movie.
John Stamos
Writers, movies either, actually.
Bobby
I'm not picky. Okay, so let's start with the movie.
John Stamos
What kind of movie do you want to be in?
Bobby
Any. I think I could do anything.
John Stamos
Like a Maybe comedy you'd be good at.
Bobby
I would do comedy. I think I could also do, like, anything. I could do the obsession movie. I think I could be the first.
John Stamos
What is. What. What is that movie you're talking about?
Bobby
I think I want to see it. It's a horror movie, but she. This guy does a spell where he, like, makes her love him.
John Stamos
Oh.
Bobby
But then she becomes obsessed with him and sounds like she's a great actress. I think I could maybe do that.
John Stamos
To be obsessed with somebody.
Bobby
I. I could act crazy. I am a little bit. No kidding. I don't know if you can tell.
John Stamos
You're a lot more charming and friendly.
Bobby
Really? I get that a lot.
John Stamos
But I figured you would be.
Bobby
Did you? I mean, I've always been this way off camera, but I'm not always been this way on camera.
John Stamos
I saw you at the roast.
Bobby
Yeah. I was afraid to say hi to you.
John Stamos
What? I came and said hi to you. Right. I saw you and I said, well,
Bobby
I saw you first and then I. I did get up. I came and say hi and said hi to you.
John Stamos
Actually, I saw you. I said, oh, there.
Bobby
And I came over and I was
John Stamos
like, I'm not hiding under a tent or something.
Bobby
I was sitting down. Jonathan.
John Stamos
I hosted a one for Sagat, Bob Saget years ago.
Bobby
Bob.
John Stamos
And that was one of the last great ones. Cuz they were all his friends and they weren't. Although some of the jokes were kind of crude. Olsen twin jokes and stuff. They didn't really hold up. So you never know. The line is. But the. I think the jokes were funnier back then.
Bobby
Yeah, I. I was. I've never been to a roast. That was my first one.
John Stamos
Why did you go?
Bobby
Cuz I got invited. Yeah. I didn't see you once we got in there either, but I did hear them mention you.
John Stamos
Oh, yeah, right.
Bobby
I was like, wow, that's kind of cool.
John Stamos
That was kind of weird.
Bobby
They were like, johnson. Oh, wait. Didn't they make. Who made jokes about.
John Stamos
She talked about sticking her tongue down my throat.
Bobby
Yes, that's true. Has she.
John Stamos
Yeah, she did.
Bobby
She stuck her tongue. You guys made out?
John Stamos
Well, I was on her show.
Bobby
You made out on her show?
John Stamos
No, she. Well, she made it. She. She went to kiss me and she jammed her tongue down my throat.
Bobby
So you made out. That's what some people would call making out.
John Stamos
No, making out is. Is. Is participating, like sort of going back at it. I was kind of like, well, okay. That. I was on this roast with Sagat Roast and. Do you know Cloris Leachman?
Bobby
Is.
John Stamos
You probably don't. She's an older woman. She's passed away, but she's very funny and very famous. And she said, I'm not here to roast Bob Saget. I'm here to John Stamos.
Bobby
Oh, my God.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Did you.
John Stamos
No.
Bobby
No. Why? Remarried at the time, I Had a
John Stamos
girlfriend at the time. She did come over my house, though. I invited her for my birthday and she.
Bobby
Oh, my God. Are you a.
John Stamos
No, I didn't. She didn't come over. I was having a birthday.
Bobby
I'm asking. No, you a.
John Stamos
Are you a.
Bobby
No, that's not what I. What have you heard?
John Stamos
I just heard some things.
Bobby
From who? Your friends are all 70? Yeah, they don't know who I am.
John Stamos
All my friends aren't 70, John. How. Who. How did I get stuck on this show anyway? By one of my younger friends.
Bobby
Yeah. It's unfortunate. Do you. Would you like. I feel like. Because you were known for being goodlooking. Did you.
John Stamos
I always wanted to be in a relationship. I always wanted to be married and I always wanted to have kids.
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
And I was in long term relationships for a couple of years. I think there was a time when I got divorced and before I met my wife that I probably was around. I was. I was drinking a little too much and carrying on.
Bobby
Do you think of yourself and you're just like. Yeah. Are you short? What are you, six? That's kind of short. Well, it's not six.
John Stamos
Six. That's six inches.
Bobby
Entry. That's entry level.
John Stamos
What are you used to tall. Tall people.
Bobby
So embarrassing. No, you have more.
John Stamos
What's your favorite thing about me?
Bobby
Okay.
John Stamos
My Disney connection.
Bobby
Your acting connections. Your Disney connections, Your Beach Boys connections. Your. Yep. No, that's it.
John Stamos
That's it.
Bobby
Yeah. That's. It's a short.
John Stamos
So it's all about what.
Bobby
What you can do for me. Yes, exactly. I'm glad you see that.
John Stamos
Can you get me more Instagram followers?
Bobby
I can try. Because you're not. You're struggling.
John Stamos
Struggling. I have more than you.
Bobby
Barely. You're. What do you mean? More famous than I will.
John Stamos
You're right.
Bobby
So why are you struggling?
John Stamos
Because I'm older.
Bobby
There's old people with a lot of followers. Mark Cuban's doing great.
John Stamos
Not. How many does he have?
Bobby
Probably more than you.
John Stamos
My bet.
Bobby
Why aren't you more popular on Instagram? Yeah.
John Stamos
Four and a half million is pretty good for a 62 year old.
Bobby
Yeah, but a 62 year old who's John Stamos? It's not.
John Stamos
Well, who. Who what?
Bobby
Like, why does Josh have so many more than you?
John Stamos
I don't think he has. Oh, because.
Bobby
Are you serious?
John Stamos
Because he's younger and he's. That's his game. It's part of his big thing is
Bobby
there's YouTube people that do that.
John Stamos
Who?
Bobby
I don't know you're right.
John Stamos
See?
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
I think it's because of that. And you know, I don't. I don't really care.
Bobby
I know. It's just.
John Stamos
I mean, really, like, who cares? And why do I have more than you? You should have way more than me. What?
Bobby
Well, I lose followers a lot.
John Stamos
I get. I can see.
Bobby
Cuz I. I just decided I don't have a single follower who's a fan of the Beach Boys.
John Stamos
You want to bet?
Bobby
Yeah. Okay, unfollow me, guys. If you guys are a fan of the Beach Boys, I'm not going to lose a single one. Unsubscribe to my YouTube if you are a fan. I'm just. But if you're a fan over 40,
John Stamos
unsubscribe for like a week and then go back and you'll see it dip and then you'll come back.
Bobby
No, you can just leave. They're not there. They're not there. John, I'm just going to take.
John Stamos
Let's do. What if we go on live right
Bobby
now, Instagram live, and then ask them what. Are you a fan of the Beach Boys? What do you think your people are going to say?
John Stamos
Yes or let's go on yours.
Bobby
No. Here. I'm going to do a poll.
John Stamos
Okay. Do a poll on yours.
Bobby
Yes. And it's going to be a picture of you. Are you a fan of the Beach Boys?
John Stamos
Well, I wasn't ready.
Bobby
No glasses. Are you under 30 and a fan of the Beach Boys? Okay, we win.
John Stamos
You get how long you think a
Bobby
director in your phone.
John Stamos
How about I do mine and say, does anyone know who Bobby Altoff is?
Bobby
Oh, no. No one's gonna say yes.
John Stamos
Okay, then.
Bobby
Oh, look. No. 67. Oh, my God. Yes. 60. Okay, we can't. We. It's too soon to tell.
John Stamos
67%. Yes.
Bobby
Give me.
John Stamos
That's a terrible picture. Look, I look like I'm pregnant. Get rid of that picture.
Bobby
I'm not kidding.
John Stamos
Yeah, you are.
Bobby
It's not going away. It's already up.
John Stamos
Delete it.
Bobby
No, John Stamos. I'm not saying it. Do you know what? Why do you care? You're a man. Men should not care about what they look like, John Stamos.
John Stamos
Well, I don't want to look like. Like I have. Like I'm fat. Because I'm not.
Bobby
You might be.
John Stamos
What am I.
Bobby
You maybe are going to do with her. Maybe you should work out for more than 20 minutes a day and maybe you won't be. Maybe about your.
John Stamos
I'm not. But that picture that you took was.
Bobby
It's not happening, Jonathan. Okay.
John Stamos
Oh, that's good.
Bobby
Well, Jonathan, thank you so much. I'm.
John Stamos
I'll end the interview when it's time. Well, Bobby, thanks for having me.
Bobby
I. I really do truly hope you cast me in something.
John Stamos
I will. I truly wish. I hope you come to this concert.
Bobby
I'm gonna come. I'm gonna come.
John Stamos
And let's do a Disney trip with everybody.
Bobby
Let's go.
John Stamos
Family.
Bobby
That would be.
John Stamos
My son is really good with other kids, Younger kids.
Bobby
Really? Really. It would be so full circle for me to have been a kid at Disneyland, seeing you and then to go back and be near you. That'd be crazy.
John Stamos
I wonder.
Bobby
I don't know. But you were younger. Well, much younger looking.
John Stamos
Yeah.
Bobby
Yeah.
John Stamos
Why do you have to end negative?
Bobby
No gray sideburns?
John Stamos
Why do you have to end like a negative bitch? You're doing so well.
Bobby
I tried. I tried to be nice. John Stamo.
John Stamos
So this is. That's the real you.
Bobby
I enjoyed having you leave me with your phone. Contactless.
John Stamos
Ah, you're pushing it.
Bobby
Do you want to say hi to my dad?
John Stamos
How you doing, buddy? I invited your daughter to Club 33. Maybe you can, but let's leave her at home and just bring you. He's so cute, your dad.
Bobby
He's a little old man. You guys are almost the same age.
John Stamos
That's all right. That's why we're cool. Yeah, that's why you're not.
Bobby
He's not as old as me. Daddy really is.
John Stamos
But seriously, we'll go to club. We'll go to Disneyland sometime. Yeah, good. That'd be great. Perfect. He couldn't wait to get off the phone.

Host: Bobbi Althoff
Guest: John Stamos
This episode of The Really Good Podcast features iconic actor and musician John Stamos in an offbeat, lively, and often self-deprecating conversation with Bobbi Althoff. The duo navigates topics ranging from fame and aging in show business, plastic surgery, and childhood dreams, to deep dives about Disneyland, parenthood, and personal quirks. The tone is playful and irreverent, marked by Bobbi’s signature deadpan delivery and John’s willingness to roll with (and roast) the chaos.
John Stamos revealed a childhood nose job, fixed by Michael Jackson’s doctor: “I had a nose job when I was a child... And then I actually had it fixed by Michael Jackson’s guy.” [03:08-03:36]
Serious love for Disney runs in both families, with John owning the ‘Disneyland’ sign and bonding with Bobbi’s Disney-obsessed father: “I have it in my backyard... I should have bought all of it.” [05:21-05:34]
Reflection on fame then vs. now: John notes that he was lucky to get started when he did, and that today social media creates a different kind of fleeting or broad fame. [03:55]
Discussion on cosmetic work's role in showbiz—with both self-awareness and critique.
Running joke/battle on musical taste—Beach Boys vs. modern artists like Alex Warren—showcases generational divides and playful shade.
Bobbi opens up about career frustrations, dreams, and her own personality on and off camera.
John’s philosophy: living with gratitude, lifelong learning (even tattoos in his 60s), and a desire to support those around him—including giving Bobbi the encouragement (and some gentle teasing) she seeks.
Plans are made (somewhat jokingly) to go to Club 33, to the Beach Boys show, and to get Bobbi an acting gig through John’s connections.
This episode is a warm, awkward, and highly entertaining intergenerational celebrity hangout packed with inside Hollywood anecdotes, playful ribbing, and real talk about aging, family, and ambitions. John Stamos’s good nature and self-effacing humor meet Bobbi Althoff’s quirky interview style for a blend of honesty and hilarity.
