Welcome to the. I forgot to start my intro. Welcome to the really good podcast Today. I'm here with Nick Cannon. Thank you, Nick. Nick. Today we're doing a yoga class.
Nick Cannon
Yes, we are. Lexi.
Bobby
With Lexi. Yeah. She's been. How long have you been teaching? Oh, one minute. She's been doing this? Yeah. She's been teaching for her whole life.
Nick Cannon
All right.
Bobby
Yeah, I know it's been a minute. Okay, go teach us something.
Nick Cannon
Well, they say yoga. They say they don't have teachers, they have instructors. Really, because we. The energy of the yogis is what teaches us. They're just vessels.
Bobby
Do you go to hot yoga classes?
Nick Cannon
That's my main thing. Like, that's the. Otherwise I have a yoga studio myself, but I don't have a hot one. So that's.
Bobby
Why don't you get a hot one?
Nick Cannon
Because it comes with a lot. I was actually trying to build one and it can ruin the floors and you have to build the infrastructure for that. So I let the. I go to the hot yogas and all of that stuff.
Bobby
Do you go to private classes?
Nick Cannon
Not being able to just.
Bobby
You go in with just everyone.
Nick Cannon
Everybody be all sweaty and funky up in there together. They don't talk to you afterwards? Not during the class.
Bobby
Maybe you don't feel like they're staring at you.
Nick Cannon
Nah. You see, when you get centered and you're at one, you're not. You don't worry about your surroundings.
Bobby
I feel like I'd be, oh, I'm sitting next to Nick Cannon right now. I don't think I'd focus.
Nick Cannon
I wish. It's usually like dark in a vibe and like, so you're not even really.
Bobby
It's not that dark.
Nick Cannon
I mean, yeah, it's not that dark. You recognize who's next to you, but you're not. You're. It's so intense that you're not paying attention. If you're paying attention to the person that's next to you, you're there for the wrong reasons. To get centered and to be one with the universe.
Bobby
Do you Come out feeling like you're one with the universe.
Nick Cannon
I come out feeling hot and sweaty, but I feel like I have release. I feel like the toxins have left my body. I feel like, you know, I've stretched and reached bounds that I would not normally. So I feel like I've accomplished something. And then I feel, like, loose and limber. But regular yoga, you can do all of that too. So we're here. That's what we're gonna do today.
Bobby
Let's do something. What's our next move?
Nick Cannon
Oh, gonna close our eyes. Do you trust as much? So you got to trust to close your eye. It took me a while to get to that, because otherwise, I'll be looking like, well, why not? Like, who the. Is somebody gonna do some shit to me? But when you can get to that space, you just close your eyes.
Bobby
I think I trust everyone in this room. What are you doing? Okay, Should I do that, too?
Nick Cannon
I mean, this is to see. Either you. You put your hands down to get grounded, or you raise your hands. Hands up to receive the energy for the universe.
Bobby
Why would you want to get grounded?
Nick Cannon
Well, grounding is part of the process of being at one with nature, and it actually gives you the stability. It's almost like you're in touch with the foundation. So to be like. Because most people, like, I got adhd, so, like, I'm always all over the place. So to get grounded, even. That's why they tell you, like, sometimes you get barefoot and go walk through nature to get ground, grounded.
Bobby
So do you do that?
Nick Cannon
I have, like, if I'm high off mushrooms.
Bobby
Oh, do you like mushrooms?
Nick Cannon
I. I like them a little too much.
Bobby
Do you. I've never tried them.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I can't do that.
Bobby
Where do you get them?
Nick Cannon
Illegal sources.
Bobby
Are they. I think they're legal now, aren't they?
Nick Cannon
No.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
Nah, they should be. I mean, there's a bunch of. There's, like, psilocybin studies and philosophers that are actually, like. Like, trying to make sure that it is because it helps with, like, PTSD with, you know, men and women of service. There's. And to me, like, I've always done it for a spiritual connection. Like, it allows me to have, you know, conversations with God and be aligned with the most high. But if you do it too much, you become a hippie. And then, like, everything's. Hey, man, I love you, bro. And I don't. I don't want to be. I like that for, like, a couple hours. But. But if I'm like, I'll like, forget about my kids and shit. If you do it too long, be in Joshua Tree and never come back. But it's a cool experience for like, if you've never. Like, I've, you know, just studying a lot of, you know, ancient spiritual philosophies and stuff. That's kind of how I got into it a few years back. And then I realized it was like, I never did. I've never done ayahuasca. That was like the next step. And I was like, nah, that's going a little too deep. I'm good.
Bobby
Everyone was talking about that recently online.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, that's it. Like, I don't want to do the purging part.
Bobby
The purging.
Nick Cannon
So when you do ayahuasca, when you take the plant, though, I guess how you get to the other realm is like you got to throw up for like a few hours.
Bobby
I don't think people talk about that.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, that's the part that gets you in, in there. It's like you go through. You're supposed to like, lay down. They take you through. You get a shaman through it. And then you start. Start to purge. And they say, like, that's part of the. And like, throwing up is probably like, I'd rather somebody shoot me in my head than throw up. Like, throwing up.
Bobby
Have you had norovirus? No, it's the throw up.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, but I know, like, I mean, obviously, like my. My health journey. Like, I, like, had a lot of shit with like my lupus and stuff. And like, throwing up is the worst part.
Bobby
You don't get norovirus. You don't stop throwing up for 24 hours straight.
Nick Cannon
I'm never. I've never had it and I don't want. I have poisoning and that's.
Bobby
No, this is worse. This is.
Nick Cannon
Well, that. Cuz that's throwing up and. And simultaneously.
Bobby
So imagine if you just couldn't stop throwing up for 24 hours straight.
Nick Cannon
But like, what's the.
Bobby
There's no break.
Nick Cannon
Like, there's no break.
Bobby
Once it starts, there's no break. You're on the toilet. There's like blood coming up because you're just trying to throw up.
Nick Cannon
How does one catch norovirus? So I can just stay away from that. It's not like a sex.
Bobby
No, it's not.
Nick Cannon
Can you get it from the air?
Bobby
If I had it right now, you would have it now.
Nick Cannon
So how common is it?
Bobby
It's pretty common. Once it goes around, it goes around like crazy. If you find out one of your cousins.
Nick Cannon
Is it like Covid Common.
Bobby
Yeah. Not.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I guess like should I have on a mask right now? Type of thing?
Bobby
Yeah, no, you should. It's really. A friend came over one time when I was pregnant and I had a two year old and she came over for a play date with the two year old and she thought her son was just acting a little bit weird. But nothing was. It wasn't too deep. And the next day my daughter started throwing up. Non stop that night. Me and my ex husband, non stop. And then for the next 24 hours we sat over a toilet as a family and just threw up. And then I took my daughter into the ER because she was so lethargic that she was just like. And I was like, what is happening? And she couldn't stop for 24 hours.
Nick Cannon
So someone. You invited someone into your house and they infected your whole family?
Bobby
Yep. It was horrible. That person right before Christmas.
Nick Cannon
Right before Christmas. You didn't give them any presents?
Bobby
They didn't. Nope. That ruined my whole rest of the. It was the worst. And then my mom came over to help me because we didn't know it. And then she's throwing up.
Nick Cannon
Right.
Bobby
With us, it was all you do is throw up non stop.
Nick Cannon
How do you stop it?
Bobby
24 hours later you're fine. It's like nothing ever happened because you just have to throw up a hundred times. So if you don't like throwing up, don't get that.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. So you purged. You got rid of all.
Bobby
I should have taken ayahuasca that day.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, exactly. You would have talked to God while you were throwing up.
Bobby
Damn. Why won't you take it? Should we take it right now? I have some Ioska.
Nick Cannon
If we did, we would not be able to see for like 48 hours. Do you got an extra 48 hours to spare?
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
You want to go on a journey into the spirit realm with me? God, I like that.
Bobby
Let's do it. Let's just.
Nick Cannon
Let's do ayahuasca. What would you say to God if you got a chance to talk to God?
Bobby
Is this. Are you real? I don't know.
Nick Cannon
He's gonna be. He's like, I'm sitting right here in front of you.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
Of course I'm real. You would have to ask that question. That's the thing that when they say when you have outer body experiences and near death experiences, all the questions you think you would ask God, you don't ask because you're just in the presence. So you're like, oh, I get it. And like mushrooms Are kind of like that. Like, you understand, like, the meaning of life and why we're here. And it's so, like, literally, like, euphoric that you're like, I don't ever want to leave this state. Why would I ever go back?
Bobby
Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't do that. Do you smoke?
Nick Cannon
I used to, but not as much anymore. I don't do. I'm like. I'm super cleansed now.
Bobby
But nothing. You don't drink?
Nick Cannon
I've never drank. I don't even know what being drunk feels like. I've never been drunk.
Bobby
How's that possible?
Nick Cannon
I just don't drink. I like my. I don't. I don't like poison. I don't, like. I don't understand the concept of being drunk. Like, you just take something that tastes horribly, that makes you act like a fucking fool and gives you a headache the next day.
Bobby
Where's the fun it makes you. I don't know. I used to like the feeling of it, but I don't like tasting it or the next day. Now I don't drink it.
Nick Cannon
And it seems like it makes people make very bad decisions and have you.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
End up in court.
Bobby
Does do that.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Like, I don't. I've never, like. Especially being, like, out there like that. I've seen people do some very dumb stuff on alcohol.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
And then other drugs as well.
Bobby
But not mushrooms.
Nick Cannon
No, other than you just sit in one place and soak up the universe. But I would. I. You know what? I wouldn't recommend someone do that because it's. That's still a substance, too.
Bobby
So you just recommend nothing.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. I would just say try to get one with the universe, like yoga. Because you can get the same experience. And I've done it. You can get the same experience through meditation and yoga that you can get with shrooms.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
It takes. You gotta get. You gotta get there.
Bobby
How. How long does that take?
Nick Cannon
Like, you gotta be super aligned with the universe. Probably like over two hours of just, like, meditating.
Bobby
Oh, I couldn't do that.
Nick Cannon
You could do it.
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
Can you.
Bobby
I can't meditate for five minutes.
Nick Cannon
You got adhd?
Bobby
Yeah. And I would just lose it. I was thinking.
Nick Cannon
Do you say you got it or, like. Cause, like, I've been, like, diagnosed with this.
Bobby
I've been diagnosed, but I don't take anything for it.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. My grandmother wouldn't let them give me medicine.
Bobby
Have you ever.
Nick Cannon
They tried to put me on all that.
Bobby
I took Adderall for a while. I love it. But.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I Never. I've heard about it. I've heard some people really enjoy Adderall and, like, get.
Bobby
You get everything done, but I think.
Nick Cannon
I'd probably get addicted if I got. If I took it.
Bobby
I don't have an addictive personality.
Nick Cannon
You don't?
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
So there's nothing in your life that you have to have?
Bobby
No. I could lose everything right now, and I don't think I'd be fine.
Nick Cannon
Really?
Bobby
Yeah. I really have.
Nick Cannon
You're a minimalist.
Bobby
How did it come. Maybe it's not my matcha. I ordered matcha to the wrong address, and then I tried to bribe him with $20. He said no, but I don't know if he maybe.
Nick Cannon
Was that where matches are part of this yoga class? For real? Like, yoga and matcha?
Bobby
I don't. I. I love. I don't. Can you drink coffee?
Nick Cannon
I don't drink. I drink green tea, though, which is, like, the origin of, like.
Bobby
Yeah. Of matcha. Yeah. I cannot drink coffee for the last few months. It makes me, like, have a panic attack.
Nick Cannon
Really? Too much caffeine. Another poison.
Bobby
Oh, my gosh.
Nick Cannon
Nice. $20 bribe worked, and now I got.
Bobby
To make sure I do it. I didn't think he'd actually do it. My sister said he wasn't my yoga instructor.
Nick Cannon
Sorry.
Bobby
She wasn't gonna. He wasn't gonna do it. Do you have siblings?
Nick Cannon
I do.
Bobby
How many?
Nick Cannon
I have four younger brothers.
Bobby
Four younger brothers?
Nick Cannon
Yep.
Bobby
Do. Why do you have so many kids?
Nick Cannon
Why do I have so many kids?
Bobby
Yeah. Like, what.
Nick Cannon
Do I gotta explain to you how.
Bobby
Thank you so much. Like, no, not how they. No, I have. I understand that.
Nick Cannon
No Work. The reproductive system. I call mine a productive system.
Bobby
Yours is very productive. Yeah. No, I just mean, like, what inspired you to.
Nick Cannon
I mean, I always wanted a big family. I come from a big family, but. And I've come from an unorthodox family, so.
Bobby
What you just said you have a king complex. You have a what?
Nick Cannon
A king complex. I was like, you know, as black men, we always be like, what's up, king? Okay, king. Like, I. Like. I really think I'm a king.
Bobby
So you need to have. Do kings have a lot of kids?
Nick Cannon
Yeah.
Bobby
I didn't know that.
Nick Cannon
You know that. That's how they. They're court. They're territory. That's why I thought they. Had you heard of King Solomon?
Bobby
Is that from the Bible?
Nick Cannon
He's from the Bible. Yes, I've heard that name. Wives. 700 wives and 300 concubines.
Bobby
That's what you want no, I'm good.
Nick Cannon
I don't want no wives. I just want kids.
Bobby
Do you want more kids?
Nick Cannon
Are you propositioning me right now?
Bobby
Oh, yeah. I'm asking because I want. I want to have your. Your. How many kids do you have?
Nick Cannon
I have 12.
Bobby
I want to have your 13th child.
Nick Cannon
We got work. Why are we here? Why are we wasting time at yoga?
Bobby
That's crazy. Can I have a napkin, please?
Nick Cannon
Well, no, I mean, I think I'm. I think I'm done.
Bobby
You think you're done? How old are you?
Nick Cannon
I'll see. I'll be 45 this year, so that's usually where they are.
Bobby
That's where they start in LA. 40. 40 is 40 started. It's the new 20.
Nick Cannon
20.
Bobby
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Nick Cannon
I think I'm done.
Bobby
You think you're done? I don't think you are once you're. How old are you?
Nick Cannon
Because I didn't know I was saying When I was 30, I didn't have any kids.
Bobby
When you were 30, you didn't have any kids?
Nick Cannon
I had my first child like in my 30s or set up because we had twins. And then by the time I was 40, I had 12.
Bobby
I don't.
Nick Cannon
So I don't know. I don't know what God in the universe have in store for me.
Bobby
Do. I'm not smart. So do twins run in my family? What type of twins are those? Are they.
Nick Cannon
I think I have a boy and girl, so they're fraternal. And then I do.
Bobby
Wait, isn't fraternal. That's just genetic, isn't it?
Nick Cannon
Meaning it's all comes from some not.
Bobby
Not the split egg one identical or not.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, yeah, I. That I've. I've learned and forgot. But I know it's like there is something about two egg. I think fraternal is two eggs.
Lexi
Yes.
Nick Cannon
And then the other one, the identical is one egg that splits into two.
Bobby
So then.
Nick Cannon
So I have two sets of fraternal.
Bobby
The moms side. Or is it from you too? I think it has.
Nick Cannon
I have a lot of so many.
Bobby
So if you have more, you might have a lot more. Do you have a house with like 15 bedrooms in it?
Nick Cannon
I do. I have a few houses though. I think that's my goal is never to have everybody under one roof.
Bobby
Why?
Nick Cannon
Because that's like a cult.
Bobby
You don't. But that's kind of like a king and all of his.
Nick Cannon
But see, like when you're a king.
Bobby
You'Re right, you have different.
Nick Cannon
Yeah.
Bobby
So you don't want to Have. You don't want to. You have no desire to be a cult leader?
Nick Cannon
No desire to be a cult leader.
Bobby
And take on a couple wives? A couple dozen wives.
Nick Cannon
I've had one wife and I think.
Bobby
You only had one wife.
Nick Cannon
Only had one wife. I got married once and I don't think I'll ever do it again.
Bobby
Why?
Nick Cannon
I don't know. Why would you do it again?
Bobby
I would.
Nick Cannon
Really?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
You want to get married?
Bobby
I didn't get. I didn't have a wedding and stuff. Did you?
Nick Cannon
I did.
Bobby
I didn't have.
Nick Cannon
I had. I used to get married every year to my wife.
Bobby
Wow.
Nick Cannon
And then we would like celebrate.
Bobby
Didn't get married.
Nick Cannon
And then I was like, yeah, I had enough of it.
Bobby
That's enough weddings with you.
Lexi

Bobby
Yeah, I didn't have a single wedding. I wanna have a wedding in my lifetime.
Nick Cannon
Oh, okay. So, yeah, see you. Like that's. Women often like the pageantry of it. They always say like, the wedding is for the woman.
Bobby
Is it?
Nick Cannon
That's what they say.
Bobby
That makes sense.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Cause like, I mean, guys are like, oh, I can't wait to.
Bobby
You know, you're right. I picked out my tux and the colors and make fun.
Nick Cannon
Like women want the dress and they want.
Bobby
I love all of that. I want to get proposed, too. I want to. I want to do the whole thing.
Nick Cannon
I proposed several times, only went through with it once.
Bobby
You said, you don't want to get.
Nick Cannon
But that was before I got married. I led up to.
Bobby
And then you were like, I was.
Nick Cannon
Engaged probably like half a dozen times before I actually did it.
Bobby
Half a dozen times? You did they keep the rings?
Nick Cannon
Some did.
Bobby
Do you want to propose to me?
Nick Cannon
I mean, then we'd have to get married.
Bobby
No, no, no. You've clearly shown that you don't have to get married if you propose.
Nick Cannon
But then, like, absolutely.
Bobby
I want to bring. Your car was really nice.
Nick Cannon
Yes.
Bobby
I don't even know anything about cars, but that looked nice.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, Nana. So, Rolls Royce Cullinan.
Bobby
But it looked expensive.
Nick Cannon
Yes.
Bobby
I don't.
Nick Cannon
It's like half a ticket.
Bobby
With a ticket.
Nick Cannon
A ticket. You don't know what a ticket is?
Bobby
No, I just learned what a blue stripe was. What is it? A blue line? A blue stripe on a pregnancy test. Oh, you don't know what that is? A blue stripe?
Nick Cannon
A blue strip. Oh, I was like, not.
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
How did you learn that?
Bobby
Because there was a song that was popular right now, and it was saying, blue strip. Yeah, blue strip. And then my sister was like, yeah. And it means. And then the person we were with was like, like, that's so embarrassing that you guys don't know what that is. And I was like, I don't feel like a lot of people know what that is. You knew what that was, though.
Nick Cannon
I mean. Yeah. A blue strip. Not stripe. I think that would be something else.
Bobby
Okay, well. Yeah.
Nick Cannon
So a ticket is a million dollars.
Bobby
That's half a million dollars. Okay.
Nick Cannon
I have a couple of sprinters.
Bobby
And do you go on, like, family vacations on a bus?
Nick Cannon
I mean, not in the Sprinter. Yeah. You go to, like, Disneyland in the Sprinter.
Bobby
You go to Disneyland with, like, a sprinter full of.
Nick Cannon
I spend so much money at Disneyland.
Bobby
I do, too, but not nearly as much as you do.
Nick Cannon
I probably spend close to a couple hundred thousand dollars a year at Disneyland.
Bobby
Jesus. That's not a lot. What are you spending it on the Tour?
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Because what it costs, like, I mean, on average, if you want to, like, have the private.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Tour with the escort, that's, like 10 grand.
Bobby
Well, it's.
Nick Cannon
Well, when you're like, I think that it's somewhere, like, I was quoted 5, 800, but it's like, it's $800 per person type of thing.
Bobby
So I don't.
Nick Cannon
If it's just like you and.
Bobby
Oh, because you have so many.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. So, like, so just that. That's not even for the tickets. That's just for the person.
Bobby
Does that give you front of the line access?
Nick Cannon
Yeah, you don't have to sign no lines, by the way.
Bobby
No lines at all.
Nick Cannon
At one point, you know, what was it? My third wedding was at Disneyland. We shut Disneyland.
Bobby
Oh, my. That was fun. Did you bring all of your kids? Did you have kids then?
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Cause it was also their birthday on our wedding anniversary.
Bobby
What was making you have weddings every year?
Nick Cannon
Something fun to do. But think about it, like, the first one was in the Bahamas. The second one was in the Maldives. The third one, I believe was in. Was that the Disneyland one? No, I think it was Paris at the Eiffel Tower. Then the fourth one, we shut down Disneyland.
Bobby
When you're saying you had weddings, are you meaning, like, the dress?
Nick Cannon
Literally, we. There was a dress. There was. We invited guests. It was a party. Out flew people out. Like, we literally shut down Disneyland. And, like, right in front of the castle. Yeah, we got Mary right there, and she pulled up in, like, Cinderella's.
Bobby
You don't feel like people are like, this is enough weddings.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. And that's the thing. If it. Like, we did it, like, we had. Think we had, like, seven of them, and then we got divorced.
Bobby
Should have kept having them holding you guys. It was the wedding.
Nick Cannon
It was the wedding. Exactly.
Bobby
I've never in my life heard of anybody who just had that many.
Nick Cannon
It was just that much fun. I mean, I guess if you could call it, like, it was a ceremonial anniversary party.
Bobby
It was on your anniversary?
Nick Cannon
Yeah, April 30th every year. We just knew, like, we was going to turn up. And it just so happened, like, how. How amazing is God? That was the same day that our children were born.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
So then it became like a family party type of vibe.
Bobby
That's pretty cool how.
Nick Cannon
All the way up to, like, they were four.
Bobby
What year did you first get married?
Nick Cannon
2008.
Bobby
How old was I?
Nick Cannon
You were a child.
Bobby
I was like, 12.
Nick Cannon
You were 12 in 2008 and 12.
Bobby
Yeah, I was like 12.
Nick Cannon
You just made me feel like an ancient.
Bobby
You kind of are if you weren't getting married. How old were you when you got married?
Nick Cannon
I was 27.
Bobby
You were 27? Yeah, I was in seventh grade. It's crazy.
Nick Cannon
And now look, you're.
Bobby
You're growing two children and 12 more to go.
Nick Cannon
Exactly.
Bobby
I don't.
Nick Cannon
We got it. We got to get started. If we go and plan, I mean.
Bobby
Yeah, no, I've got a.
Nick Cannon
Because you. What, you have two now?
Bobby
Two girls.
Nick Cannon
Two.
Bobby
You need some boys and. Yeah, and then I'll be done.
Nick Cannon
So that means like, what? Your boys. That means you need to be on your back with your feet.
Bobby
Oh my God. God. Never thought of that.
Nick Cannon
That's how the boys work.
Bobby
Is that what.
Nick Cannon
So you was on top. That's how you got girls, wasn't I don't remember. Cause it's like boy sperm swims deeper.
Bobby
That has to be a myth.
Nick Cannon
It's science.
Bobby
Is it really?
Nick Cannon
Boy sperm can get in there. Girl sperm.
Bobby
So what do you have to do to have a boy?
Nick Cannon
You gotta lay on your back, put your feet in there so you can give. I think. I think something like that.
Bobby
That's crazy. Did you. Did you plan out your genders each time? Nah, you just. It was luck of the draw.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Whatever happened. But I have more boys than I have girls.
Bobby
How many boys do you have?
Nick Cannon
7.
Bobby
And how many girls do you have?
Nick Cannon
5.
Bobby
It's a lot of girls to have.
Nick Cannon
I know, they're intense. Girls are. Girls are way more difficult than boys.
Bobby
How so?
Nick Cannon
One, because I'm a boy, so it's easier to like interact with them. And like I can. I talk to them differently. I can rough house with them. I can like. We do martial arts in my family, so I can make them do push ups on their knuckles. Like, I can't do that to my daughters.
Bobby
You can.
Nick Cannon
I mean, I don't want to though. Like, I don't like even. And then they. They know that I'm a softie when it comes to them. So they push.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
And they like, just like. I have one of my daughters, her name is beautiful. And she like cries in surround sound. Like I don't even know how. Like, she'll be right here and you can hear it everywhere. Like she has like this.
Bobby
How old is she?
Nick Cannon
She is two going on three. And like she knows if she's not getting her way, no matter where we are, no matter what's going down, she'll just like. It's like the fire starter. Like Drew Barrymore. You ever seen that movie? It was back in the day.
Bobby
What movie?
Nick Cannon
She. Drew Barrymore was in this movie. Like it was like an 80s classic where she was like. It was like after she did ET So she was popping and like she starred in this movie and like she's like the youngest star ever. Like I think like her and Shirley Temple. But it was a dope ass movie where she just would when she Got upset. She would like, scream and fire would just erupt everywhere. And her hair would. Like.
Bobby
Daughter is.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, that's beautiful.
Bobby
That's. What are their names?
Nick Cannon
I just told you.
Bobby
You told me one.
Nick Cannon
Oh, you want. You want all 12?
Bobby
12 names?
Nick Cannon
This is where I usually get in trouble.
Bobby
Why? Cuz you don't know all of them.
Nick Cannon
I know all of them. But, like, when you're labeled, like, can you label or just rattle off 12 of anything?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Okay. What can you rattle of 12 of 12? Can you name 12 states right now?
Bobby
They're not. Like, what's something personal to me that I can.
Nick Cannon
Okay, can you see? Exactly. Okay. Name 12. What do you have 12 of?
Bobby
Well, I don't. Most people don't have 12 of anything or $12.
Nick Cannon
Can you have 12 tattoos?
Bobby
That's. I don't even have 12 tattoos. You have more kids than I have tattoos.
Nick Cannon
Exactly. All right, here we go. I'll label off for you. See, let's keep me. Keep me honest. There's Rock Roll, Golden Powerful, Rise, Onyx, Legendary Zion, Zillion, Zen. And see, this is where. How many you're missing two. I'm missing two. And then I would say. Oh, yeah. Did I say beautiful? Did I say there's beautiful? And then there would be Halo, my youngest.
Bobby
There you go. You almost saw it. I feel like it was.
Nick Cannon
Almost did it. See, I knew I was like. I had. There's like. Cause I didn't want to do that. There's a song and I was like, I don't want to do that.
Bobby
There's a song.
Nick Cannon
Like, I do. I wrote a verse that had all their names in it, and I just. Sometimes I recite that just to.
Bobby
Can you do that?
Nick Cannon
No.
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
That would be bad right now. Well, I mean, we'd probably go viral.
Bobby
But just do it.
Nick Cannon
I just gave you all 12, though. But they. They kind of have a rhythm to them anyway, so.
Bobby
Yeah. Are you close with all of their moms? Yeah, if you're good with them, yeah. I mean, that's a lot of moms to get along with. I mean, I got 12 moms.
Nick Cannon
It's not 12 moms. It's only six moms.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
It's 12 kids.
Bobby
Okay. I don't owe.
Nick Cannon
Everybody on average has two.
Bobby
Everyone on average has to. Does anybody have one?
Nick Cannon
I mean, I said on average. Actually, two of them have two. I mean, two of them have one.
Bobby
Okay, so you didn't want to give those two.
Nick Cannon
They only wanted one.
Bobby
That's kind of cool.
Nick Cannon
That's what I Mean, because I'm like. I'm like self serve, like Burger King. You can have it your way. How many you want? How many you want for me?
Bobby
I'll take two.
Nick Cannon
Okay, I got you.
Bobby
Yeah, just two. Baby daddy.
Nick Cannon
Close. You want close?
Bobby
Yeah. Like, yeah, you can just.
Nick Cannon
Or maybe we can knock twins out.
Bobby
Oh, nope, I don't want those.
Nick Cannon
So you would rather have two more pregnancies for your body's bounce back opposed to than just one twin?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Cause first of all, twins normally aren't like the biggest babies, so it actually.
Bobby
Mine were so little though.
Nick Cannon
£3, £4.
Bobby
My kids were full term. £5 and something.
Nick Cannon
Oh, wow.
Bobby
40.
Nick Cannon
Because you're. You're.
Bobby
Yeah, they're teeny kids. So they didn't. They didn't.
Nick Cannon
They didn't stretch. Everything's intact.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Did you get stretch marks?
Bobby
No. Somehow I got really lucky. So now I know that baby number three would just get rid of all that. Oh, I would never. I would.
Nick Cannon
It bounced right back.
Bobby
No comment. Why?
Nick Cannon
So you rather talk. You could talk about your stretch marks, but not the place where the baby came from.
Bobby
I think that everybody's.
Nick Cannon
Does bounce it. No, no.
Bobby
Yeah, I do.
Nick Cannon
I mean, it depends what you do.
Bobby
It's just scientifically going to just go, we're here.
Nick Cannon
We're here in yoga class. Part of yoga is Kegel exercises. Did you do that during pregnancy or afterwards?
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
You didn't want to do it now?
Bobby
I was. No, I do not want to do it. Why not? I was also.
Nick Cannon
Really, you should be doing. First of all, you should be Kegeling all day long. I don't like I'm Kegeling right now. It's happening. It's because a lot of people don't know men can Kegel.
Bobby
Can they?
Nick Cannon
That helps with semen retention.
Bobby
Does it? Do you need help?
Nick Cannon
And I have control.
Bobby
Do you need help with that?
Nick Cannon
Clearly that's my problem.
Bobby
I don't think you're doing enough Kegeling.
Nick Cannon
I just knocked out like 40 kegels in this last, like 30 seconds.
Bobby
Have you. Who taught you how to do that?
Nick Cannon
One of my therapists taught me because she was like, yo, you need to control. First of all, Kegeland gives you way better orgasm.
Bobby
Oh, great.
Nick Cannon
And. But it also, like, if I need to hold, I could do that.
Bobby
So you mean to tell me without. Without doing that, you would have had 20 kids right now?
Nick Cannon
Oh, absolutely. First of all, all my kids are on.
Bobby
Do you know what a condom is?
Nick Cannon
I see. First of all, okay, if I didn't know what a condom is. I'd probably have a thousand kids.
Bobby
Oh my God. That's a lot of sex.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. And I also believe in like, you know, every time. I don't know. Cause this could get controversial too, but I just love kids in a way to like, I think life is so purposeful.
Bobby
So I think you're able to provide for them. So I see no harm in you having as much.
Nick Cannon
But then everybody, because they have that conversation like, oh, money isn't everything. And just because he's financially capable, no one can be present for 12 children. I'm saying, hey, watch you watch me do it.
Bobby
You seem like you're pretty present with all of them.
Nick Cannon
Try.
Bobby
I think in general, dad more present.
Nick Cannon
Than my dad was.
Bobby
Yeah. I was gonna say my dad was like, he worked all the time. He wasn't he. Even, even an ideal father is not really there that much for their kids because they work. So I don't know that.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. So I think I've been blessed enough to be in a scenario to where I probably get to spend more time, physical time, because of the way my work structure is set up that, you know, me and my kids get to do so much more activities than. It's so cool that like I get to go to like all of these facilities.
Bobby
School together.
Nick Cannon
No, but like in pockets, you know, like my, you know, because even like I have like one, I still got two year old. So. So they're not even really. They're in preschool. So, you know, I get to do those type of things where they bring their own home. Like the construction paper art.
Bobby
I don't think I realized how much money you had before this interview.
Nick Cannon
A lot of people tell me that.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
You don't.
Bobby
I don't know. I just wouldn't like imagine.
Nick Cannon
Oh, I think because I don't brag about it. I don't try to get on like the Forbes list. And like I've been doing this for so long.
Bobby
I was just thinking you have to probably pay for 12 people's houses.
Nick Cannon
That's a lot, right?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
And even then, like, so that's the.
Bobby
Thing, like, even they're probably all in private school. They have to be very expensive.
Nick Cannon
It's quite.
Bobby
At least you'll pay for my next two kids.
Nick Cannon
Exactly. It's a rich man's sport. But like, would you want, like, you want to do home birthing?
Bobby
No, I love a epidural.
Nick Cannon
That costs a lot of money too. But. So then we'll get like the suite at seats Cedar Sinai Yeah, exactly. So that. That's expensive. I paid for that a couple of times.
Bobby
That's a sweet thing. I wouldn't know.
Nick Cannon
Okay, so they have like. I don't know if they call them like celebrities.
Bobby
I had like. It's a Kaiser.
Nick Cannon
Oh, wow. Really?
Bobby
I was broke. Okay.
Nick Cannon
I mean. Yeah, Everything turned out well.
Bobby
Yeah. So tell me about the celebrities.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, they have like a suite, like, you can get like, you know, it's a room where like mom is and they make sure. Or it's offline and they have a room adjacent to where you could keep your family. Or like, if, you know, the father wants to step away and stuff. So it's like a whole. And you can do like a corner suite. And they have better food. You can upgrade the food.
Bobby
How much is it service?
Nick Cannon
It's really, it's. It's stupidly expensive. Like, the birthing suite is probably like 10 racks a night or some shit like that.
Bobby
My. My kids were a thousand dollars each to have. Just to have double Zach. So cheap.
Nick Cannon
Because you have insurance.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
See, like even.
Bobby
Oh, because insurance doesn't cover the.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, you can't. Insurance doesn't cover the birthing suite.

Nick Cannon
Yeah, but like, I think just in general, if you don't have insurance, and I know this from experience, a, A typical birth at like a place like Cedars is somewhere like $75,000, but with insurance it could be like a thousand thousand dollars.
Bobby
Yeah. I mean, I didn't, I couldn't afford Sean Cedar cyanide when I was.
Nick Cannon
Yeah.
Bobby
Having.
Nick Cannon
Is it. I don't know.
Bobby
I think it's more.
Nick Cannon
Because is it more expensive per hospital?
Bobby
Kaiser is just cheap and it's just cheaper. Cheaper. It was still pretty expensive, but Cedar Sinai was not. I was like, I forgive you. Yeah. No, that wasn't. That's. That's crazy.
Nick Cannon
Yes.
Bobby
Yeah, you're.
Nick Cannon
And then that just. That's when it just starts. Or even before then because then, you know, you're doing all like the classes and. Did you have a doula? Did you. No.
Bobby
You. You have like rich pregnancies? I had, I had broke.
Nick Cannon
All my pregnancies were rich pregnancies.
Bobby
Yeah, I didn't have those.
Nick Cannon
But I was, I was a. I was a broke delivery. I was. My mom.
Bobby
You were broken? You never.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, my mom was a teenager.
Bobby
What does your mom think about this?
Nick Cannon
I don't know. I got to ask her. We don't really talk about it much. She loves all her grandchildren, but I think, like, my mom is, like, she's super laid back, so she just, like.
Bobby
It must be nice to see you have such a different life than what she.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. And, like, she's good. Like, she got a big old house.
Bobby
Take care of her. I would imagine.
Nick Cannon
She's. She was my. The. The woman I got to first provide for.
Bobby
That's sweet. Where does she live in la, too?
Nick Cannon
She lives in San Diego.
Bobby
That's where you're from?
Nick Cannon
Yeah. And she, you know, first. The first big purchase I ever bought, I bought my mom a house and then I got even more successful and she's like, I want a bigger house now. So, I mean, now she lives in a giant mansion by herself.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
Her and her dog. Her dog's name is Mick.
Bobby
That's adorable. So.
Nick Cannon
Mick Cannon.
Bobby
Oh, my gosh. Wow. Are you. What about your siblings?
Nick Cannon
They're good. They're grown now. I think all my siblings are.
Bobby
They're successful and they're owner.
Nick Cannon
Do you. Yeah, they do their own thing. They're all. They're all my dad's sons, though. They're not my. My mom's only son.
Bobby
So. You're. Oh, yeah. Papa was a rolling stone barely compared to you.
Nick Cannon
Well, yeah. No, I had to. I had to barely top my pops.
Bobby
I had to, like, you topped him by. So, you know, my dad was the opposite of you because you had so many kids with so many different people. My dad had so many marriages and so few kids.
Nick Cannon
Really? How many times your dad married?
Bobby
Five times. Times. Wow. And not.
Nick Cannon
Why would it. See, I don't. Why. I don't even understand the point of being.
Bobby
I don't know either.
Nick Cannon
A business contract.
Bobby
It was. He just loved getting married.
Lexi
And.
Nick Cannon
And so maybe he liked the weddings.
Bobby
May. Maybe he should have had one wife that he kept married, but he was getting courthouse marriage. He wasn't having.
Nick Cannon
He wasn't even having, like, full wedding.
Bobby
Just wanted to be married for some reason.
Nick Cannon
That's interesting. I would love to study that. I never know because maybe. Is your dad easily convinced?
Bobby
No, he was the one who wanted to get married.
Nick Cannon
He wanted to get married?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Does he have, like.
Bobby
I think he has, deep down, like, the values of a very, you know, traditional man. But then he's a little bit of a hoe.
Nick Cannon
I'm saying, like, is there, like an insecurity thing of, like, I want what's mine?
Bobby
Yeah, I think. And then he's like, actually, that was. I don't need that anymore.
Nick Cannon
Next. You know, it's like an ownership thing, like, to me. That's why I think there's philosophies that to me don't. I can't align with when it comes to marriage because I don't want to own anyone.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
I don't want to be like, that's mine. Yeah, I got the papers.
Bobby
It does feel very like that.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. So that's like, I don't, I don't need that. You can be the free bird you want to be. That's why we would work out so well.
Bobby
It's true. We'll have nothing to do with each other, but we'll go to Disneyland.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, we'll go to Disneyland a couple of times a year.
Bobby
I can't imagine I was gonna do. I've never done the VIP tour because for me.
Nick Cannon
Well, now you.
Bobby
I know, I feel like. But don't you feel like that draws more attention to you?
Nick Cannon
Actually, no. Okay, so there's levels.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
So now if you get, if you.
Bobby
Get the cheap one that draws attention.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Then you actually have to be like, excuse me, I got the tick. I get to the front of the line and people like, fuck out of here. Who the fuck you think you are?
Bobby
That's where I would be at the bottom level.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. When you get the vip, when you, you know, when you holla at Disney and be like. Then there's like secret tunnels.
Bobby
Oh my God.
Nick Cannon
You only have to be like, you could be at Disneyland all day and you only see you've been in the.
Bobby
Secret tunnels and you see only your family. That's so nice. My least favorite part about Disneyland is the people.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. No, we don't. We go to Disneyland, there are no people.
Bobby
Oh my God, that's crazy. Take me with you, even if we don't have a kid. Okay, yeah, I'll just hop on, I'll pay myself.
Nick Cannon
§ you don't have to pay. You can go.
Bobby
That's fine. I wanted to offer, cuz I don't want you to think I'm, you know, using you for money. It'll be great. Our kids will probably get along and everything.
Nick Cannon
So many people use me for money. It would be.
Bobby
Do they? I don't. I'm not going to. Because I'll pay my little section cuz.
Nick Cannon
You got, you got your own money.
Bobby
Enough for me and my kids. Not enough for everybody. And not, not the extra fancy stuff. We're like, we're getting there, you know, slowly.
Nick Cannon
That's good.
Bobby
Like we started in the back of the plane, then we moved up to Comfort Plus. Then now we're now we're. Now we're in the front of the plane.
Nick Cannon
That's awesome, though, because you're doing that.
Bobby
By yourself and then private school's so expensive, so.
Nick Cannon
It is.
Bobby
It's too expensive.
Nick Cannon
It's like, it's. Well, the base rate is like 30.
Bobby
Grand a year, so I'm. Your new podcast that you're doing is. It's a little different than anything I've ever done. Is it. It's like a sex.
Nick Cannon
It's not a sex. I mean, sex is definitely part of it, but it's relationship sex. In love.
Bobby
Yeah. I've never gone on a podcast and. Or talked publicly about sex.
Nick Cannon
It's gonna be fun. I'm glad you're gonna do it.
Bobby
I can't believe I was like, okay.
Nick Cannon
Well, yeah, because that's. That's how, like, when you're in the podcast world. Yeah, you do mine, I'll do yours.
Bobby
Exchange.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. So I think you'll be great on it because you're.
Bobby
I mean, I did not. This is new for you, this thing.
Nick Cannon
Well, I mean, it's just because it's kind of. I'm trying to reinvent late night, but then at the same time, don't make it just like people coming on and promoting their shit. Like. So it's like, nah, let's come on here and talk about. And it's not like, we're not. We're probably not gonna even talk about your love life or sex life.
Bobby
Oh.
Nick Cannon
It's like people submit videos and questions, and then we talk about. We try to help them. And we're sitting with the doctor.
Bobby
We're sitting with a doctor, a professional. I know nothing about what's happening.
Nick Cannon
But that's. Yeah. So it's. It's like a sex therapist or sometimes it's a ob gyn.
Bobby
Oh, my God.
Nick Cannon
And they. They're. They give the expert advice and we just have to give commentary.
Bobby
We're giving commentary to it.
Nick Cannon
Just. We're doing what we're doing now, but other people's problems.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
Simple.
Bobby
That's crazy. That's. What's crazy is I've never talked about sex during mine, and you did that, so I feel like I'm going to end up having to talk about it on. On yours a bit.
Nick Cannon
I mean, not really. I mean, it's. It's.
Bobby
I'm a weirdo, but that's what.
Nick Cannon
That's what makes you special.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Like, that's your don't. You don't have the typical approach to any of this. You don't have to. I see. You said that you don't have a.
Bobby
Typical approach to talking about it.
Nick Cannon
Does it make you feel awkward?
Bobby
For sure.
Nick Cannon
You talk about everything else, not.
Bobby
Not how you make babies. I grew up really Christian.
Nick Cannon
Me too, but I think it. My dad. I was a pk.
Bobby
What?
Nick Cannon
Preachers.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
Yeah.
Bobby
So that's crazy.
Nick Cannon
My dad was trying to be a televangelist. He had like a public access show and everything. Like asking people for money.
Bobby
Oh, my gosh. Wait, I read that on your Wikipedia. You. Your first thing you did was on his.
Nick Cannon
On his public access show?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Yeah.
Bobby
What did you do on it?
Nick Cannon
I did everything. I used to run the cameras. I used to.
Bobby
But I thought you were on it.
Nick Cannon
But like, I was the. I was. My. I was the preacher's son. So he would give me in rewards. He would give me stage time and let me tell jokes.
Bobby
Are you guys close?
Nick Cannon
Yeah. That's my dog.
Bobby
What does he think about your life?
Nick Cannon
He loves my life.
Bobby
Still a preacher?
Nick Cannon
No, he stopped like once. Soon as I got like my first gig. He quit preaching, moved into my guest bedroom, and he ain't left ever since.
Bobby
He lives with you?
Nick Cannon
I mean, he did back then. Now he has his own spot now.
Bobby
You got him his own spot?
Nick Cannon
I mean, he's his own man.
Bobby
That's weird.
Nick Cannon
We make. We. You know, we do all right for a family.
Bobby
So that's good for you.
Nick Cannon
You know, everybody could get a house. That's my thing. You could get a house. Did you have a house?
Bobby
I don't own a house.
Nick Cannon
Why not? Let's make it happen.
Bobby
You're gonna buy me a house?
Nick Cannon
Absolutely. That's what I do for all the mothers of my children.
Bobby
I'm not a mother of your children. But also the house. Yes. Yet. Damn, I'm excited to be a mother. That's gonna be crazy. Headlines.
Nick Cannon
G Wagon. What kind of car are you driving now?
Bobby
Not a G Wagon. That's my dream car. I'm sounding great. I can't wait to sign up at all.
Nick Cannon
You want the new electric one or you want the.
Bobby
I don't know anything about cars.
Nick Cannon
You probably cuz you don't. The responsibility of the electric is too much. I'll just get you one of the.
Bobby
Yeah, just give me one of each.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, it depends on how many kids you got. If we. Are you gonna do two? Two gets two vehicles.
Bobby
Yeah. Oh, gosh. And two houses. Just one house. I don't know. A vacation house.
Nick Cannon
I mean, because you making your own Money, like.
Bobby
Yeah, I know. That's why it'd be so great. We can invest to live in.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. We get a spot in Joshua Tree where we do shrooms.
Bobby
I'm down. I do. I have a baby with you. I get a house. I get a car. I do shrooms once a year in Joshua Tree. We go to Disneyland.
Nick Cannon
Sounds like the life.
Bobby
Right? My kids are gonna be set for life too. They're gonna be like, wow, they be.
Nick Cannon
Like some nice little biracial babies. They have curly hair.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Biracial hair is a lot to deal with.
Bobby
I have all black friends, so, you.
Nick Cannon
Know, so you're nice. You can braid and all.
Bobby
I'm pretty good at braiding.
Nick Cannon
And then my sons, they usually have, like, similar haircuts to me.
Bobby
What do you have?
Nick Cannon
I mean, right now I'm doing, like, this weird, weird faux hawk thing up underneath. But usually, like, I let it grow and I get braids or my hair grows really fast. Luckily, like, I'm, you know, I'm in my mid-40s, and I still got a full head.
Bobby
You're getting old.
Nick Cannon
I've been old. I'm grow. I'm not old. I'm grown. That's the difference.
Bobby
You don't think 40. You don't think 44 is old?
Nick Cannon
I'm grown. Old is like, old.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Like, oldest is how you feel.
Bobby
Okay. You feel perfectly young.
Nick Cannon
Young. The swimmers are still swimming.
Bobby
Two years ago, they were.
Nick Cannon
That's all that.
Bobby
I'm three or three.
Nick Cannon
Ready to put them back in the. Back in the Olympics. Back in the pool. Let's go.
Bobby
I.
Nick Cannon
You want boys? They. They.
Bobby
You make some boys.
Nick Cannon
We have not done yoga at all. When are we gonna yoga?
Bobby
You're gonna have to do. What's the ivf? Let's do ivf.
Nick Cannon
That actually.
Bobby
That and we don't even have to have sex.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. I mean, you take kind of a lot of the fun out of it, but.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
All right. I mean, it's.
Bobby
We'll just IVF a little boy. Two boys. That'll be great.
Nick Cannon
Yeah.
Bobby
How tall are you?
Nick Cannon
Six one.
Bobby
Really? I think it says six feet online.
Nick Cannon
I think I. I say. I modestly say six.
Bobby
Oh, that's nice.
Nick Cannon
Because if I say, you know, yeah, six to be like, that's just such a round number. I'm probably not even 6:1. I'm probably like 6:6 and like, 40 something centimeters. I'm just above 6 foot.
Bobby
I just want to make sure they're not, like, short, short boys.
Nick Cannon
I mean, you're pretty short.
Bobby
I'm five six. That's. That's above average for a woman. So.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, they're gonna be tall. Yeah, you gotta make sure they get a lot of sleep.
Bobby
That's how. That's how you get tall.
Nick Cannon
That's how you get tall.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
My kids like and new the proper nutrition, but you know, we're well off, so they'll make sure they'll be eating pretty well.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
No processed foods.
Bobby
Your kids don't eat processed foods. Really?
Nick Cannon
I mean, on Fridays they get to have like pizza.
Bobby
Their moms don't feed them processed foods. What do you mean? Every food is processed besides whole foods, I mean.
Nick Cannon
Well. Well, that's the thing. You want lots of fruits for each of your. See, I don't. I wish. That's what I'm on. To get to that level where every kid has their own personal. Personal chef. They're not there, but most of their mothers can cook really well and they enjoy doing it. Now me, on the other hand, I need a chef.
Bobby
Are they stay at home moms?
Nick Cannon
Not all of them. They are what they want to be. My goal is to make sure my children and my families can have whatever they want.
Bobby
Is that. How are you doing that?
Nick Cannon
I'm trying my best.
Bobby
What are your plans to keep that happening?
Nick Cannon
1. I gotta stay working.
Bobby
Okay. Are you doing that?
Nick Cannon
Yeah, yeah. So I have like a thousand shows.
Bobby
Do you have a thousand?
Nick Cannon
I mean, not a thousand, but I got a lot.
Bobby
How many do you have?
Nick Cannon
If. I mean, probably somewhere between like half a dozen to.
Bobby
Shows. Can you name your shows?
Nick Cannon
Wild N Out, which are gonna come on?
Bobby
Love to.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby
One.
Nick Cannon
So that's Wild N Out. And the new one we just. That you're gonna be on.
Bobby
Oh, yes.
Nick Cannon
Nick Cannon at night. That's too. Then we have.
Bobby
That's a good name.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, yeah. Then we have We Playing Spades.
Bobby
What's that?
Nick Cannon
We Playing Spades. It's like comedians playing cards.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
So Spades is a black cultural pastime where you talk a lot of shit and you throw down the cards really intensely.
Bobby
Is it a. It's a podcast or it's like.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, so we turn, you know, something that we would normally do at family gatherings into a podcast. And it just allows me to talk to all my comedian friends and talk shits. Like, Kevin Hart has been on there.
Bobby
And I feel like Kevin.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, like all. All of the guys have been on and we haven't had a lot of white guests. So I would invite you to that, but you don't know how to Play spades.
Bobby
I don't. I don't.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, we'd have to do a whole.
Bobby
Episode where we're not playing spades. Yeah, I just splashed water all over you.
Nick Cannon
Squirting all over the place.
Bobby
Don't do that. Don't do that.
Nick Cannon
It's moist.
Bobby
You're disgusting.
Nick Cannon
What? Why are people so bothered by those words that only you took it to a sexual connotation? You literally squirted right there with the water.
Bobby
So you had no sexual connotation?
Nick Cannon
No, I didn't plan that. I didn't plan for us to meet today and you squirt all over the place.
Bobby
It's disgusting.
Nick Cannon
It's not disgusting. You literally went like that and made your mat moist.
Bobby
Why are you using those words? You know that they. I don't like those words at all. I don't like any words that could have a sexual connotation.
Nick Cannon
Really?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
You know that's what makes you adorable though, right?
Bobby
Why?
Nick Cannon
Because you're like weirded out by everything. You know what?
Bobby
I think that's why why people really want me to start an only fans. Like that's the thing that people always ask and I think it's cuz they don't see me in that way at all. But that's not. They're not going to. Cuz I'd be crazy. Like I don't know what I would do on only fans.
Nick Cannon
Do you know what your appeal is? Like when you think, like when you present every day, you're like, they're going to think I'm cute if I do this or they're going to think I. Because you're not trying to be sexy. That's the. But you're like, you're definitely trying to be attractive.
Bobby
Am I trying to be.
Nick Cannon
I mean everyone tries it. You want to attract.
Bobby
Yeah. Like are you trying to do today?
Nick Cannon
I mean it just, it just happens to you.
Bobby
But I have to try.
Nick Cannon
Like I don't, you know, as they say, I don't chase, I attract. It's like I got to learn how to turn it off. That's my thing. But I'm a narcissist, so that's.
Bobby
Are you a narcissist, do you think?
Nick Cannon
Actually, yeah.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
I don't diagnose.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I went, I did, I did all of the tests.
Bobby
What do you.
Nick Cannon
Because I've been being called a narcissist for so long.
Bobby
From who?
Nick Cannon
Just various.
Bobby
They just call you a narcissist.
Nick Cannon
I think women, when they get upset sometimes they use that term.
Bobby
I've used that term.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Fucking narcissist. Stop gaslighting.
Bobby
I love those terms. Yeah, I can't wait till I say it to you too.
Nick Cannon
It's going to happen. But then I was like, all right, well, let's define what that is.
Bobby
And then you were like, fuck, I am.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Like, because it's the spectrum.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
So it starts, you know, it starts with just like confidence, and then it's overly confident and it's arrogant, then it's overly arrogant, and then that's when it gets to like narcissistic personality disorder.
Bobby
So you're. You're over there.
Nick Cannon
I'm over there.
Lexi
You're past arrogant.
Nick Cannon
I'm past arrogant because there's like this self worth and self adulation that I just have in me. Like, I told you, I have a king complex. I think I'm. I wear a turban every day. That's like, something's wrong.
Bobby
I've never met someone so similar. Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Have you ever met anybody else that wears a fucking turban every day?
Bobby
No. I didn't know you wore one every day, though.
Nick Cannon
I mean, because I like. I like hats and stuff too, though. I'm super into it.
Bobby
You're just like, so.
Nick Cannon
But this is not a hat. This is my sovereign. You know what a turban represents? So turban, even back in the day when it was created in Africa, a lot of people think it was crazy African thing. It was a sign of. Of safety or healing or that person can use. So like even like doctors and protectors, if they had on turbines, you know, those were the men that you actually would go to. And then that's the ancient times. It then started based when religions and all of that kind of really kicked in. It's settled in a place of sovereignty. So if a man had his head wrapped, I mean, he was self governed. No one, only the higher power was able to enforce laws upon him. So I wear my crown as a state of sovereignty. I can only govern myself.
Bobby
How long have you worn that?
Nick Cannon
I think I probably started wearing it in Coachella in 2016.
Bobby
It was just a fashion statement.
Nick Cannon
I was probably high. Okay. I was like, I want to put this fucking turban on. But I had always studied more science.
Bobby
Why don't you wear a crown?
Nick Cannon
I've done that too. These are just. You can get these in a lot more colors.
Bobby
Yeah, I bet you could get crowns and some clips.
Nick Cannon
That might be my next shit. You're gonna start walking around like. Because I actually paid a lot of money for an actual gold crown with diamonds. I have like a crown that I probably now it just sits in the safe. But I think it was probably. I think I spent like $80,000 on a crown. Stupid. I've never. I bring it out. I have died. You know, I have the world's most expensive shoes. Shoes, dress shoes.
Bobby
What are they?
Nick Cannon
They're million dollar shoes, but they're. Each shoe is worth a million million too, because they've appreciated.
Bobby
Oh, my gosh.
Nick Cannon
So when I was the host of America's Got Talent, the prize was a million dollars to the winner. So I was like. We were like season 10 or 11. I was like, I want to do something flashy, make people talk. So on finale night, when we give away the million dollars, I want a pair of million dollar shoes. And then so I went to my jeweler, Jason of Beverly Hills, and I was like, how do we do million dollar shoes? He was like, well, we could try, but is. You're gonna have to do. Each shoe is gonna have to be a million dollars. So I was like, yo, that's fucking $2 million.
Bobby
You can't have like a half a million dollar shoe. What's it called?
Nick Cannon
What do I do? I mean, the amount of diamonds he needed to cover the shoe and I don't know. He convinced he's a jeweler. He convinced he finessed me. We went from a million to 2 million very quickly.
Bobby
Week. I have to look up a question.
Nick Cannon
Oh, what was this? Is this about my million dollar shoes or is this.
Bobby
Oh, my gosh, you're beautiful. Okay, when I said earlier and that's wrong. When I said earlier, I thought you had a lot of money. I was just like, oh, yeah, he has a bit more than I like, thought. You have a lot more than I thought.
Nick Cannon
Well, you talk. Drake is.
Bobby
He has a lot more Cuban and.
Nick Cannon
Oh, yeah, no, see, I don't got. They. I don't got that bad. I'm close, but I ain't got that bad. You have a lot of money. I do. I learned from guys like Mark Cuban.
Bobby
Yeah, I learned a lot from him. For my little bit of money I've made. I don't.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. And I'm still learning because now, like, my entourage is my kids. So that's like so soon. If I continue to hire people, they taking food out of my kids mouth or part of their college education or their what? I want to be able to leave my kids as much of this money as possible. And I want to make more. I look up to people like, ever heard of Merv Griffin?
Bobby
Have not.
Nick Cannon
What about Dick Clark?
Bobby
Is that the ball person? Is that.
Nick Cannon
You know how. Think about it. You still know his name and he's. Neither one of those guys are still with us. But Dick Clark.
Bobby
Dick isn't no Dick.
Nick Cannon
Dick is gone. Dick left a long time ago.
Bobby
Okay. Didn't know that about Dick.
Nick Cannon
But Dick. Dick was very prominent when he was around.
Bobby
Was it?
Nick Cannon
See, this word isn't bothering you. You are moist. Squirt. That was throwing you off. We could say dick several times. None of them had sexual connotations.
Bobby
They did. You can argue, whatever. Anyway, you look up Dick Clark is.
Nick Cannon
Who probably Ryan Seacrest is modeling his career after he was a person.
Bobby
Is Ryan Seacrest worth more than you?
Nick Cannon
No. See, people think he is now.
Bobby
I'm looking that up too.
Nick Cannon
But think about it. If you put my career next to Ryan Seacrest career, I've done a lot more. But he's white.
Bobby
Is that what's happening?
Nick Cannon
So, nah. I love Ryan. He's. He's. I mean, he's super successful and we've all, we've kind of, you know, done similar things.
Bobby
He says it's like so much more.
Nick Cannon
See, but is it the truth?
Bobby
Not true.
Nick Cannon
Is it the. Think about it. I hosted America's Got talent almost for 10 years while he was doing Idol. Then I went on to do an even more successful show than singer. He does. He hosts, he produces still. Yeah, but see, like, that's why I go back to like Merv Griffin. People don't know Merv Griffin, but you know Jeopardy.
Bobby
Yeah, that guy created that.
Nick Cannon
He also created Wheel of Fortune.
Bobby
Oh yeah.
Nick Cannon
Several other shows that come that are still still prime time hit shows every single day. Just imagine how much money he was able to leave his kids.
Bobby
He. Jeopardy. That I used my name was one of the like things.
Nick Cannon
You were a question on Jeopardy.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
You made it.
Bobby
What was it?
Nick Cannon
Don't leave me hanging.
Bobby
Oh, God, I didn't even see you do that. What was it? All I know is my sister in law's grandmother called her to be like, I knew the answer to one of them. It was your. It was your whatever.
Nick Cannon
It means you made it.
Bobby
I was like, oh my God. I was a question on. And then I got a few DMS about like, oh, you're a question on Jeopardy. Or whatever. That's so cool.
Nick Cannon
Yep. Yeah, so that's. I try to model my entertainment career after those type of guys that actually.
Bobby
Seriously, you want to make more and more.
Nick Cannon
I want to produce more content. In that we didn't even get through all of the shows that I do. But, like, again, there's mass singer that. I have another show on Fox that's more for, like, families and kids. And I got. You know, we do a lot of stuff. I got a canon radio show. We do. Then there's, like, scripted shows. And so it's. It's quite a bit, I will say.
Bobby
Like, before our interview, I was like, what. What are you known for? And I just. I don't. I have to. It's.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. What did you want to, like, interview me for?
Bobby
I just know you're. I. I know you for having a lot of kids.
Nick Cannon
Really?
Bobby
Yeah. And wild enough.
Nick Cannon
Well, I'll take that.
Bobby
I'll give you wild and out of children.
Nick Cannon
But that's the thing. That's kind of like your thing. You don't really.
Bobby
I don't know. I don't. I. This is the most research I did was on my car here. I was like, you know what? Let me just see. And then I realized I didn't look up anything. Because when you pulled up in that, I was like. And then you said that it was a ticket.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I was like, half a ticket.
Bobby
Half. Half of the ticket. Damn.
Nick Cannon
But, yeah, I mean, but that's the thing. Like, hopefully I struggle with that a bit because I have done so much. But now the thing that's kind of in the pop culture zeitgeist is like, oh, he's a dude with a bunch of kids. So now it's almost become, like, a new challenge for me to be like, okay, yeah, I want to be the dude with abundant family, but I also want you to know me for this, this, and this. So now I have this new drive to create all of these entities.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
So we're doing it.
Bobby
I think you just have to keep doing it, and eventually people keep having kids.
Nick Cannon
Well, that's what we're gonna do.
Bobby
Oh, that's not what I meant. I meant keep having. But you can do that too.
Nick Cannon
We can do them simultaneously.
Bobby
I don't know if you should keep having kids.
Nick Cannon
So you gonna be my last baby mom?
Bobby
I think I should be. Because here's the thing. If you don't want to be known for that, it's just gonna keep making news, and it's gonna be. Yeah. Then you're gonna be like, nick Cannon had another child.
Nick Cannon
Nick Cannon had another child. This will be a good final it.
Bobby
You're done. No more babies.
Nick Cannon
Two twin. Oh, no, not twins. Just.
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
Two boys.
Bobby
How Separate surrogate Then we can do, too.
Nick Cannon
Don't cheat yourself.
Bobby
No, I do, actually. I will say, being a mom to a newborn baby is the best.
Nick Cannon
Like, you want. Your body is magical. But you're gonna have to do that two times. Like, is it gonna be like a year?
Bobby
I love. I wouldn't want to do it just once. I.
Nick Cannon
So when you. When are we getting started?
Bobby
That's right. When are we gonna add? Yeah, just give me your sperm and I will implant it.
Nick Cannon
How does. How are you gonna get it?
Bobby
A turkey? You're gonna put it in a cup.
Nick Cannon
Okay. It's not as exciting as I thought it.
Bobby
No, it will be because you'll have one of my children. That's pretty cool.
Nick Cannon
I mean, it is, but I think you having one of my children is what kind of. I mean, if you just talk about.
Bobby
Though, because, like, so many people have.
Nick Cannon
What do I get out of this?
Bobby
So many people have had children with you. That's not as. Like, it's.
Nick Cannon
Oh, so it's like, special.
Bobby
Yeah, it's a little. I've only had one person have children with me, and it would be even special genetics.
Nick Cannon
Like, what are they gonna. Because, like, when you get my genetics, you getting some. Like, you, like, they're gonna be tall.
Bobby
Mine are gonna be a little half Mexican. Well, no, by then it'll be like a fourth Mexican. It'll be.
Nick Cannon
But, like, are they gonna be driven? Are they gonna. Do they have activity?
Bobby
They're gonna be weird. Awkward. Socially awkward. No, my kids are the cutest things ever. They'd be. You'd be. Look how cute they are.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. We would make some cute babies.
Bobby
They're the cutest kids in the world.
Nick Cannon
That's what I said. There's two things I make beautiful babies and people mad.
Bobby
That's what you make. That's a good. Yeah, you're very self, aware, Nick.
Nick Cannon
You gotta be.
Bobby
Yeah. I don't know that most people are self aware about all.
Nick Cannon
I wish, you know, I was talking about this the other day. I wish I could be delusional. I. You know. Cause I do this a lot.
Bobby
Do you feel like you might be a little, though?
Nick Cannon
No, I wish I was that. Like, I wish I could walk in here and be in my own world and just be like. Like that level of narcissism. I'm not there.
Bobby
Do you think you could get there?
Nick Cannon
I. You can. I think drugs are involved in that.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
Like, that's smoke. Like, people who smoke all the time and just be at a constant, you know, high wherever they go. Or whatever they pills they popping. You need assistance to walk in here with like sunglasses on. You like bob into music that's not playing. Yeah, like you've been around those type of guys and you're just. That makes your podcast great when you make people aware of how delusional they are. I've seen you do it.
Bobby
I don't even recall doing such a thing.
Nick Cannon
You have a magic about you I don't know about.
Bobby
That's so flattering. I can't wait for our little six.
Nick Cannon
Foot one, curly hair.
Bobby
Yeah, he'll be so cute. Awkward boy.
Nick Cannon
Because I'm. I'm naturally an introvert.
Bobby
Are you? Couldn't.
Nick Cannon
Couldn't tell because I know how to turn it on. It's my job.
Bobby
That's good.
Nick Cannon
But when cameras go up, you saw when I walked, I'm like super laid back, chill. But I also turn cameras on.
Bobby
Then you're silly and make faces and.
Nick Cannon
Be witty and I don't even cuss when the cameras aren't on.
Bobby
Well, they are, but when you turn.
Nick Cannon
Them on, I'm like that really turn this up.
Bobby
That happened. I.
Nick Cannon
But then you turn the cameras off. I'm like a sweet Christian boy who abides by the Abrahamic laws.
Bobby
Is there. What is that?
Nick Cannon
I mean, it's the three big faiths that we support.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
Judaism, you're Christian, we all come. Father Abraham had many sons.
Bobby
That's why you want to have many sons.
Nick Cannon
Father Abraham.
Bobby
How the fuck did many sons have Father Abraham?
Nick Cannon
That was always weird, right? I understand how he had many sons, but I guess they're saying because they're his sons, they have him.
Bobby
That's interesting.
Nick Cannon
Whoever wrote that song, I don't love.
Bobby
That song for them. But that's. I do feel like you would consider yourself Christian.
Nick Cannon
I am absolutely, wholeheartedly a follower of Jesus Christ.
Bobby
That you would not consider yourself.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I mean, that's what Christian. That's a Christian.
Bobby
I don't know.
Nick Cannon
I'm just mad. I'm a Christian that's turned so many things. But I attempt to be Christlike. That's my goal. I follow the Bible and all that it represents is. Says so Christian. Yes. But there, you know, there's over 40,000 different denominations of Christianity. No, it's too much.
Bobby
That's a lot. I just.
Nick Cannon
Especially when he said, no man coming to the father, but through me, I am the truth, the way and the light.
Bobby
Okay, and so what's. What denomination are you? The. The.
Nick Cannon
No non denomination.
Bobby
Just the Bible. Does it not say to have One wife and no.
Nick Cannon
Does it really has multiple?
Bobby
I don't know. I don't know anything about the bible.
Nick Cannon
Solomon.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
700 of them and then three. He married 700 different people and then had 300 concubines. That's like 300 side chicks.
Bobby
That's crazy. They were all way back then too.
Nick Cannon
And then his daddy, King David.
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
He was in these streets too. Too.
Bobby
You're. Are you smart? Would you consider yourself smart? You know a lot of stuff.
Nick Cannon
Nah, I'm not smart.
Bobby
You went to college?
Nick Cannon
I did. As a grown man.
Bobby
I kind of. I thought you may have. I didn't know if that was accurate. But you graduated in 2020.
Nick Cannon
2020. I didn't get to walk across the stage because of the pandemic. And I was there for four years.
Bobby
You went on campus and everything three times a week.
Nick Cannon
That's got a degree in criminology.
Bobby
Really? I want to go. I have. I want to finish my degree.
Nick Cannon
She gotta do it. You have the lifestyle that you can do it now.
Bobby
I could, but I feel like that'd be. So did you sat in classes and people weren't.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, people was taking pictures of me falling asleep.
Bobby
Really?
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I did the whole thing.
Bobby
Maybe this will be it. Maybe it's not weird being among 20 year olds while you're not.
Nick Cannon
It was kind of cool because I was kind of going through like a midlife crisis at the time. That feels like five. But then my younger brother was there at the same time as me. So it was kind of cool. So we were like. It was like on some ride.
Bobby
I'll be that age too. You know what? I'm gonna apply.
Nick Cannon
You gotta do it. And you can do it your way because you're mature enough and wise enough. You have the resources. Like I got. I didn't live in the dorms. I got a dope ass condo down the street from that I would just go to in between classes.
Bobby
That's crazy.
Nick Cannon
I would fly in and fly out and go back to work and come back.
Bobby
Oh my gosh.
Nick Cannon
It was like Rodney Dangerfield in that movie Back to school. Another 80s classic. You got to see now I don't watch. You got to see the Firestar and you got to see Back to School.
Bobby
Do you act too?
Nick Cannon
I do act.
Bobby
Why'd you say it like that?
Nick Cannon
Because that's like really like my main job.
Bobby
What do you act in?
Nick Cannon
I did in a bunch of stuff.
Bobby
Did you?
Nick Cannon
What are some of your favorite shows?
Bobby
I don't feel like I've ever seen you in a show.
Nick Cannon
What is one of their favorite shows? Who's your favorite actor?
Bobby
Who's my favorite actor? I don't know. Right now I'm on a Dakota Johnson kick. I really love her.
Nick Cannon
I've never worked with Dakota Johnson. I've done movies I've starred in, like you have.
Bobby
Doesn't it come up when I search you on Wikipedia?
Nick Cannon
No, because only my kids come up. Have you ever heard of a movie.
Bobby
Called your kids don't come up on your Wikipedia? To be clear, it does not.
Nick Cannon
Have you ever heard a movie called Drumline?
Bobby
No.
Nick Cannon
A black classic. If you gonna have my kids, you gotta see Drumline.
Bobby
Never seen that.
Nick Cannon
You know who Zoe Saldana is? You don't know Zoe Salad? She just won an Oscar. You ever seen Guardians of the Galaxy?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
Avatar.
Bobby
Yeah. Okay, I do know. I just remember the name.
Nick Cannon
Drumline was like, our first film together.
Bobby
That's pretty cool. What have you won?
Nick Cannon
Well, I think she might have been in a film before that. Have I won awards? Yeah, I have won awards. I've won awards. I haven't won an Oscar. I won. Was in a Cannes Film Festival. I won. I did a movie with Spike Lee. Caught Chiraq that a lot of people said I should have got nominated for. Spike thought I should have got nominated for it. That was in 20.
Bobby
I just don't want to give you.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, I mean, it's not too late.
Bobby
It's not too late.
Nick Cannon
I'm not a show type of guy, though. I don't like going to those things and showing. And it's a. It's a game to get one of those, and I don't like playing games.
Bobby
Do you see they're having a podcast award at the. What is it, Lexi?
Nick Cannon
They're doing podcast awards for one of the Yoga instructor knows about podcast.
Bobby
Yes. Is it. Is it an Oscar? No.
Nick Cannon
Streams.
Bobby
No, no, no.
Nick Cannon
Like, one of the big Em are doing best.
Bobby
Yeah, they're doing like a best podcast. And I think that's.
Nick Cannon
And Grammys. Yeah, they're like.
Bobby
Is that crazy?
Nick Cannon
That'd be dope, though. You're gonna get nominated.
Bobby
No, but.
Nick Cannon
What are you talking about? This is a really good podcast.
Bobby
Thank you. That's so sweet of you. I don't think I would. There's a lot of really big. Huh? Golden Globes.
Nick Cannon
The Golden Globes.
Bobby
Yeah. That's crazy. They have a podcasting. That's the first time this year they're gonna open that up. That's wild.
Nick Cannon
Let's get you.
Bobby
Now. You're gonna Be. I want you to win.
Nick Cannon
I want you to win.
Bobby
I want you to win before me. All right, well, so you can tell me how it goes. Like, what's the process? And I don't really want. I don't like. I've been to one award show and I never want to go. It's so awkward. I don't like a red carpet.
Nick Cannon
I don't like people being fake to one another and other people following the fake people around. I fall back. I don't go. Now I'm a point in my career. I don't have to go.
Bobby
I don't go anywhere.
Nick Cannon
So I don't. I don't. You know where I show up, where they pay me. Eagles soar by themselves. You gotta. There's not a lot of people in the high frequencies, so if you're somewhere where there's a lot of people, it's probably gonna be a lot of low frequency.
Bobby
Interesting. And that's why we do grounding exercises. See, there we go.
Nick Cannon
We did none of them today.
Bobby
So you can finish us off with a yoga pose.
Nick Cannon
Yeah. Yeah. Can you give us a namaste?
Bobby
Yeah.
Nick Cannon
God in me recognizes the God in you.
Lexi
The God in me.
Bobby
I don't know that normal, regular people say stuff like that.
Nick Cannon
Yeah, that's what namaste means. Have you ever heard of namaste?
Bobby
That means the God in me recognizes. Recognizes the God our yoga instructor knows.
Nick Cannon
I just taught the yoga instructor something.
Bobby
Do you know? Yeah. So my sister doesn't. She's not a yoga instructor. I hated it.
Nick Cannon
I kind of figured.
Bobby
Yeah, she's. But she does do hot yoga every day. Twice a day.
Nick Cannon
Oh, really?
Bobby
So I thought that why I was gonna hire someone to do it, and I was like, why hire someone when my sister.
Nick Cannon
It's the best, though. Don't you feel like that isn't the best feeling? When they open that door and you walk out and you.
Bobby
I will tell you. I've. She's brought me twice you never. And twice I leave 30 minutes in because whatever the fuck they're doing, it's like. She does those little ones where they're like fast paced.
Nick Cannon
Oh, yeah.
Bobby
They're like, hey, get down, do this, get up, do that. And I'm like, okay, I'm sweating. You're asking me to do too much to do. Oh, I. That's what you do.
Nick Cannon
Downward dog and all of that. Good.
Bobby
No, but they work you out too, with little exercise things.
Nick Cannon
So you're doing the. Is that shape or core? Core yoga Skull.
Bobby
I hate that.
Nick Cannon
You got. That's advanced.
Bobby
Yeah. She took me into that for my first time, and I said, there's no way.
Nick Cannon
And then I do that for people I don't like.
Bobby
She doesn't like me.
Nick Cannon
I'm like, yeah, let's come to hot yoga. And they pass out their.
Bobby
Embarrassment.
Nick Cannon
There's some resentment there.
Bobby
She does hate me. She begs me to go every single time, and then the two.
Nick Cannon
But it makes you so much better. You should start going.
Bobby
It doesn't make me better.
Nick Cannon
It will.
Bobby
It makes me angry that I sat through that. And then I'm so awkward and I get so uncomfortable that I just sit there the whole time thinking about how I should leave.
Nick Cannon
Rethink this. Are you like a angry baby mama? Because I need you to be able to have. You can be at one and have.
Bobby
Yes.
Nick Cannon
Control your emotions because there's a lot to deal with over here.
Bobby
Oh, God. No. We're just. It's all happy times Disneyland.
Nick Cannon
As long as we structured honesty, communication will never happen.
Bobby
It's gonna be great, Lex. Are you ready to be an antimes? She takes care of my kids a lot, so I don't know if she's.
Nick Cannon
Ready for me to have more kids, special babies.
Bobby
She's already got it. She lives in my guest house.
Nick Cannon
Oh, nice. Built in nanny.
Bobby
Oh, yeah. They're like my kids. Well, she's the, like, anytime they get in trouble, like, if they're bad, she is. Because I'm really soft and I feel like it's hard because it's like, obviously, if my kids are not, like, with. They're not around a man a lot. They have no one that's like. So then my sister.
Nick Cannon
You have to be the masculine in the family. You need me. I'm a good stepdad, too. I'm. I can be that good, strong, familial patriarch.
Bobby
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, she is right now. She's waiting for that role. She needs a boyfriend. If you have anyone for her, too, if you want to be her boyfriend.
Nick Cannon
We'Ll keep it all in the family.
Bobby
Your kids are probably almost her age.
Nick Cannon
Facts. My son, he's a wild boy.
Bobby
How old is he?
Nick Cannon
14.
Bobby
Okay.
Nick Cannon
He only dates 16 and up.
Bobby
He's getting groomed.
Nick Cannon
I know. I mean, he's a player. He doesn't go past 18.
Bobby
I thought. It's crazy.
Nick Cannon
He's 14. He's a player.
Bobby
All right. Do your little things. Lexi. You're the fucking instructor. Tell us.
Nick Cannon
Thank you for spending the time and give yourself the gratitude for coming here today. Go ahead The God in me represents the God in you. Namaste. Yes. See, she does this.
Bobby
And you can bring your hands to your third eye and bow forward. What the.
Nick Cannon
Namaste. Yep.
Bobby
Tissue. Namaste. The God of me, the third eye.
Nick Cannon
This is a real thing. This is your pineal gland. You can see with this. And when you do shrooms.
Bobby
What the.
Nick Cannon
We got a lot of time to talk about this. Talk about it all through your premises.
Bobby
Yeah, no worries. Thank you for coming, Nicholas.
Nick Cannon
No doubt. Thank you.
Bobby
You're definitely late now.
Nick Cannon
I'll be all right. I mean, I'll push it. Hopefully if there's no traffic, I'll be all right. I can get there by 2:45.

In this lively episode of The Really Good Podcast, host Bobby sits down with renowned entertainer and entrepreneur Nick Cannon to delve deep into his personal life, philosophies, and unconventional approach to parenting. The conversation is both engaging and candid, offering listeners a rare glimpse into Cannon's world beyond the spotlight.
The episode kicks off with Bobby and Nick engaging in a yoga session, setting a relaxed and introspective tone for the conversation.
Nick Cannon emphasizes the spiritual and physical benefits of yoga, stating, “I come out feeling hot and sweaty, but I feel like I've released the toxins from my body... I feel like I've accomplished something” (03:02). He distinguishes between hot yoga and regular yoga, explaining the challenges of maintaining a private yoga studio due to infrastructure demands.
Bobby shares her skepticism towards yoga, mentioning her discomfort and preference for stepping out early, to which Nick responds humorously, “If you don't want to be known for that, it's just gonna keep making news” (07:49). Their exchange highlights the varied personal relationships people have with wellness practices.
A significant portion of the episode revolves around Nick Cannon's impressive family size. With 12 children, Cannon openly discusses the motivations and logistics behind such a large family.
Nick Cannon humorously notes, “I have 12 kids,” and elaborates on his desire for a big family inspired by his upbringing in a large and unorthodox family (15:08). He describes his approach to parenting, striving to be more present than his own father, who was often absent due to work commitments.
Bobby expresses her astonishment and curiosity, asking, “Why do you have so many kids?” to which Nick responds, “I just know it's my matcha. I ordered matcha to the wrong address...” (14:09), blending humor with personal anecdotes about his parenting journey.
Cannon delves into his philosophies on relationships and parenting, touching upon topics like marriage, polygamy, and the dynamics of raising boys and girls differently.
He discusses his decision to remain unmarried despite multiple proposals, stating, “I have one wife and I think I'll never do it again” (18:44). Nick further explains his "king complex," asserting his belief in self-governance and sovereignty, which influences his approach to both family and personal interactions.
The conversation also explores the challenges and rewards of raising boys and girls, with Nick sharing insights into his interaction styles and the unique personalities of his children. For instance, he mentions, “Girls are way more difficult than boys” (26:44), providing a candid look into his parenting experiences.
Cannon openly discusses his lifestyle choices, including his stance on substances and his commitment to staying clean.
Nick Cannon reveals, “I don't drink... I don't understand the concept of being drunk” (11:44), highlighting his preference for a substance-free life. He contrasts this with occasional mentions of mushrooms, clarifying his spiritual use but ultimately rejecting other substances due to personal and familial responsibilities.
The duo also touches upon financial aspects related to parenting, such as the high costs of private schooling and healthcare. Nick candidly shares, “A typical birth at like a place like Cedars is somewhere like $75,000, but with insurance it could be like a thousand thousand dollars” (38:53), offering listeners an unfiltered perspective on the economic realities of raising a large family.
Nick Cannon provides an overview of his multifaceted career, including his roles in television, film, and podcasting. He mentions shows like Wild 'N Out and new ventures such as Nick Cannon at Night and We Playing Spades, emphasizing his continuous drive to produce diverse content.
He reflects on his educational journey, stating, “I have a degree in criminology” (69:16), and shares humorous anecdotes about his time in college, including interactions with classmates and balancing academic pursuits with his career.
Nick also discusses his investments and financial strategies, inspired by figures like Mark Cuban, and touches upon his aspirations to leave a lasting legacy through his various business ventures and family life.
Throughout the episode, Nick Cannon offers introspective insights into his personality and self-perception. He humorously grapples with being labeled a narcissist, acknowledging, “I think I'm a narcissist” (54:14), while also emphasizing his self-awareness and desire for personal growth.
The conversation delves into his spiritual beliefs and practices, including his use of turbans as a symbol of sovereignty and his commitment to Christianity. Nick Cannon explains the historical and spiritual significance of his turban, stating, “I wear my crown as a state of sovereignty. I can only govern myself” (56:06), illustrating the depth of his personal convictions.
The episode concludes with a playful and lighthearted exchange about future plans, including having more children and continuing their yoga practices. Nick Cannon and Bobby share mutual admiration and humorous banter, encapsulating the friendly and open nature of their conversation.
