The vaguely chronological recap of our careers enters 2021, and that strange finding-your-feet period after furloughs and social distancing. With no Sunak schemes to support us, it was back to working for a living (not that we actually stopped) for both of us, which was a mixture of lockdown-induced creator-owned projects and new stuff, of the live-action TV department, (TRANSFORMERS) computer games. and comic nature. Plus a few strange ones that fall into none of those categories.Useful linksDetails of the sadly cancelled TRANSFORMERS REACTIVATE gameMassive PublishingTo The Death: Rex & RuleMore stuff at wildfur.net

We're 50! Another millstone... sorry, milestone is reached, with two top-notch TRANSFORMERS guests to boot. And they said it wouldn't last. We're joined by writer extraordinaire James Roberts (More Than Meets The Eye, Lost Light) and writer/artist Nick Roche (Last Stand of the Wreckers, More Than Meets The Eye), who take us back to their childhood (in TRANSFORMERS terms anyway), their experiences of TF fandom, and their pro starters for ten. Me, James and Andrew squeeze a few words in here and there, while the rest is Nick Roche.Want more?...Enquiries about Generation Mechs by James Roberts can be directed to mtmte.books@gmail.com.Check out the Nick Roche Webstore thingy at https://nickrocheart.bigcartel.com/And you can follow Nick on Bluesky! @NickRoche https://bsky.app/profile/nickroche.bsky.socialAnd as always, more stuff at WILDFUR.NET

Our reboot of Wildfur's The Engine: Industrial Strength is back on the table, and we show our hands (a bit) with some teaser chat about the project.Wildman and Furman - back together! (Were we ever apart?) Our co-created motion comic is getting a fresh coat of paint this year, reimagined somewhat and re-delivered - via Kickstarter - to you, our wonderful audience. We chat about that, our appearance at the upcoming 10th anniversary TFNation, and our bumper-sized, guest-laden 50th RIGR. Another wander down movie memory land as we dissect a bunch of movies (all pre-1986) that made a BIG impression on us way back when. Not for the first time, we examine movies that - we like to think - made us the creators we are today, often (very) subliminally. The lasting and sometimes traumatic cinematic scenes that were etched (seared!) onto our subconscious minds. From A Matter of Life and Death to the Jungle Book, from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to Dirty Harry, these are our origins forged in celluloid.Want to see this as a video and get more content? check out our special offer membership at WILDFUR.NET

We lean into the art side of the process this podcast, and turn the clock back to days of yore when pen, pencil and paper were king,Bristol Board, Sable brushes, Dip pens, Indian Ink, and HB pencils come under scrutiny as, from the dawn of time it feels, we pluck memories of creating comics the old fashioned (occasionally Marvel) way, and discuss the various methods and how things have evolved - and how the fundamentals still remain the same. Plus, we talk a bit about our new creative process on a new collaborative project - whoo-hoo!Video and extras at WILDFUR.NET

We talks scripts... what goes into 'em, an' what doesn't... and delve into the craft of comic books in depth, both individually and collaboratively. We're going into the deepest, darkest, most arcane corners of what makes a comic book this podcast, drawing a lot on the classic TRANSFORMERS UK epic Target: 2006 (40 this year, don't you know?). Between us, and between this and next episode, we'll be going right back to our earliest work, looking at how our approach to creating comics has changed in some ways... but stayed rigid to the 'rules' in others. And an apology to Simon from Andrew for totally misjudging him at the end ;-)For more episodes, information and extra content, visit wildfur.net

We look in on 2020, and you-know-what, as the world locks down but we keep on keeping on... if at somewhat reduced rates of output. It's a dark time for the world at large, but people still need comics and animated TV shows, right? That's what we hoped, and to a certain extent was borne out, but a lot of our time was filled pursuing our own creative endeavours. Though Battletoads, Kitti Katz, Little Baby Bum (really!), House of Dolmann and more also got a look in.Find out more about the podcast and the podcasters at wildfur.net

We continue our retro workload round-up, circa 2018-19, including Transformers '84 and Shane the Chef, and some more... oddball one-offs.Reimaginations were all the rage, as Transformers '84 delved back into the earliest (Marvel) TRANSFORMERS stories and Titan's Robotech stirred another oldie-but-goodie in new and interesting ways. Meanwhile, our eclectic workload/output also included Horrid Henry, Magnificent Racehorses (no kidding) and a re-airing of Brute Force. When we shake these memory pots you - and we - just never know what's going to drop out.More at wildfur.net

EP43: SEMPER VIGILISThat means 'forever vigilant' by the way, which we both are and we discuss, by way of our joint/parallel careers and a large dash of nostalgia. We're back to our pro timelines this episode, circa 2018/2019, as we wax nostalgic about British comics of yore (and their reinvention as The Vigilant) and The Clangers (no kidding), plus Shane The Chef gets an airing and Marvel Comics hits 80 (allowing Death's Head out of his cupboard once again). Who knew there was so much going on in our careers back then - not us, that's for sure.Keep those questions coming in to wildfurproductions@gmail.comFor more content and the podcast as a video, visit WILDFUR.NET

Actually, we don't. After all, this is a family-friendly podcast. But we do give our verdict on a bunch of movies and TV, including I Swear. We've packed in a few more big and small screen watchings since we last vented (um, critiqued). And we swear to tell the whole, if as spoiler-free as possible, truth, and nothing but the truth about... The Housemaid (reprise), Send Help, Sinners, I Swear, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, Wuthering Sh*te (as Andrew so quaintly re-named it) and more. We are running off at the mouth, speaking our mind, and generally letting it all out - uncensored! All correspondence to wildfurproductions@gmail.commore at wildfur.net
