This is the story of my rock and roll butler. Welcome to the Rock and Roll Geek Show. 00:00:23 My name is Michael Butler. Thanks a lot for joining me. I really appreciate it. 00:00:26 Today is Saturday, July 18, 2026, it’s 8.03pm and we are in Clarion, Pennsylvania and it is pouring down rain. The beautiful undisclosed woman, travel companion Raquel, drove most of the way. 00:00:48 I drove the first three hours and then she took us in the last four. We had about a six hour and forty minute drive. Last night we stayed in Bolingbrook, Illinois and Jeffrey Zalapugas and his lovely wife Winnie met us at the hotel room. 00:01:10 He brought me a twelve pack of Tecate. We got to the room and I said to Raquel, we’re going to have to get some more beer, we’re running out of beer here. We only had eight modellos left and in walks Jeffrey and Jeff knocks on the hotel room door with a twelve pack of Tecate in his hand. He heard my call, we put it out there to the universe and the universe brought Jeffrey 00:01:35 Zalapugas, is that how you pronounce his last name, Zalapugas, I think it’s Zalapugas. He brought a twelve pack of Tecate and we went, if you heard yesterday’s show you heard us talking, we went to a bar, last night was a sports bar and Jeff would not let me pay for anything. We got tons of food, tons of beers, modello draft and saw a good blues band. Only problem with the blues band, his brother Mark was there and his wife, I didn’t get 00:02:12 his wife’s name, but Mark is a harp player, he used to play with this guy, great guitar player, great band, supposedly the bass player played with Dave Mason, but he played a Marshall Stack and that thing was so fucking noisy, he had a ground problem or something with that thing, but he was a good guitar player, they were a great band and after they left there was a classic rock band that came on after them and the place kind of cleared out. We had a really good time, thank you Jeff Zalapugas for your hospitality. He was really, Raquel was very impressed. 00:02:47 We’re a little cranky right now, I think we’ve made it this whole trip without any arguments and we’re both hungry, we’re both wet and thirsty and yeah, ready to get back. We’re going to be arriving in the undisclosed location tomorrow by three and we’re waiting for a Manhattan and somebody’s pissed off they’re not getting their fucking Manhattan, she’s ready to punch me in the nose. Oh boy, alright, okay. I think we should wrap this thing up, we’re hoping to get back to the undisclosed location 00:03:26 tomorrow to make it back in time for the finals of the World Cup. Thank you for listening to this trip, I’ll try to do a wrap up show tomorrow, we’re in a place right now called, do you know what the name of this place is, RRR Roadhouse, Triple R Roadhouse. We were going to a dive bar and we couldn’t get a cab so we were driving the Penske truck and we’re driving to the place and there’s a car in the middle of the road and he rolls down his window and tells us to stop and he said, you guys can’t go any further it’s flooded 00:04:03 down there, you’re not going to make it in that truck, so we had to turn around and drive up to this place, all the other places are fast food places except for this place, it’s a steakhouse, she’s waiting for her Manhattan and she’s ready to jump over the bar and wring this guy’s neck. I hope she doesn’t because he looks like he could kick my ass and I’d have to fight him and I’d rather not do that. We made it this whole trip, it’s been a joy on this trip so we’re going to make it the 00:04:37 last day and a half a joy, once she gets that Manhattan down her gullet she’s going to be fine I think. We might have to do some mushrooms tonight, I don’t know, we’re going to have to do something to turn this moods around, we’re both cranky, we haven’t eaten all day, I had a 7-Eleven hot dog that was pretty bad and she hasn’t had anything so we’re ready to kill some, not kill, we’re not going to kill anybody, we’re ready to throw down and I don’t think I want to throw down in Clary, all the guys at the bar look like they could kill me. Alright, we’re going to wrap this thing up friends, thank you for listening to all these 00:05:16 shows and thank you to Jeffrey Zalapugas, it was a joy to hang out with you Jeff, we’re hoping to hang out with Jonathan Travers today but that didn’t work out, his mom had an emergency at home so he had to run and do that, we had to keep driving and here we are in Clary, we have like a 5 hour drive tomorrow, Manhattan up, what’s up mean, not ice, no ice, oh boy, up is martini glass, she wants it up though, can you put it in martini glass, yeah, I mean 00:05:50 is it hot if the ice is still in it though, I mean, I don’t think she wants it in the fight here and I’m going to have to get off the phone with Lieutenant Raquel, that’s alright, oh boy, I’m going to do some damage control, alright, we’re going to go fight some people and we’re going to have a, if you don’t hear from me tomorrow that means we went, we threw down in Clary in Pennsylvania with some locals, I think Raquel, I think Raquel could take 00:06:23 them, could you take them, alright friends, thank you for listening, I’m going to get out of here, I’m thirsty, cheers, it’s a beautiful Manhattan, he did a good job, there’s no cherry in it, oh boy, she’s pisse...

Now I have my husband here, so I better go see my other family. 00:04:26 You get away from your husband for a while. Does Jeffrey go with you? This is the story of my rock and roll butler. Welcome to the Rock and Roll Geek Show. 00:00:22 My name is Michael Butler. Thanks a lot for joining me. I really appreciate it. 00:00:25 Today is Thursday, July 17th, 16th, July 26th, it is 9 or 4 p.m. when I’m recording this. 00:00:38 We’re at a dive bar in Omaha, Nebraska called the Fontan Club. Supposedly this is one of the oldest bars in Nebraska. I’m here with Raquel, the undisclosed girl, the beautiful, beautiful undisclosed girl. We’re in Omaha, Nebraska, this place is supposedly the oldest bar, it used to be one of the jockeys, there used to be a horse track, we’re in Oscarbon District, whatever, Nebraska spelled backwards, 00:01:12 that’s the name of this district we’re in. You can hear some noise going on at the dive bar. There used to be a horse track here, supposedly, and all the jockeys used to hang out here and drink, but it’s not, there’s no horse track here anymore. 00:01:31 It doesn’t get much diver than this place, but this is a good, we picked a good one here. And the owner seems like a nice guy, what’s his name? Jace. 00:01:39 Jace, J-A-C-E. His great grandma opened it in the 1970s. Yeah, he said his great grandma bought this place in the 70s. Named, it’s the Fan Tan Club, which is spelled F-A-N-T-A-N, 00:01:52 supposedly it’s a Chinese card game of some sort. If you’re Chinese, let me know what that is, rockandrollgeekatgmail.com. 00:02:01 We left Cheyenne, Wyoming this morning and drove seven, over seven and a half hours. That was one long drive. Last night we hung out with Dan Grossman, had a little too much to drink. 00:02:21 We went to a place called the Corner something, the Crown Bar. We had quite a few, the girl, the bartender there looked like she was about 18 years old. She had a nose ring and half her hair was white, half her hair was black, wearing shorts covered in tattoos, a little chubby, boobs hanging out, a little goth, kind of gothy looking. 00:02:44 It was a cool bar and we managed to pick some pretty good dive bars. We’ve been pretty good at it. We carry our own koozies with us. 00:02:54 It always impresses the people at these places when you bring your own koozie. Let me pro tip. We must have had about six or seven beers last night. I think Dan got a little bit, but while I got so drunk, not so drunk, 00:03:11 the room was spinning before I went to bed, but managed to make it through. Dan made it home. I think he had like a two hour drive. 00:03:20 They did a nice place, I’m sorry, Ken Grossman, what am I talking about? Ken Grossman, sorry Ken. You’re now called Dan. 00:03:31 You’re now Dan Grossman. Ken Grossman, the rock and roll Dan Grossman. We had a good time with him. 00:03:38 It was really nice seeing him. We’re going to be driving to Bowling Brook, Illinois tomorrow. We’re going to meet up with Jeffrey Zalapagalos. Jeffrey Zalapagalos, I don’t know how to pronounce his last name, 00:03:57 but he came and met with us in Milwaukee. Joe Pollack was there with his girlfriend, his fiancee Gina. Jeff Fee-la-la-licky was there. 00:04:09 So Jeff Zalapagalos is going to be meeting us tomorrow. We’re going to go watch a blues band if we make it. It’s a six hour and 40 minute drive. 00:04:19 It’s been fun. We’re over halfway. Have you been having fun, Raquel? 00:04:25 A blast. Yes, we’ve been having a blast. So we’re over halfway. 00:04:33 We’re expecting to get to the undisclosed location in New York on Monday. A little tired because we’ve been driving all day. We had ice cream for breakfast. 00:04:41 We stayed at a place called Little America. One dollar ice cream cones. Left about 930 in the morning and had some ice cream cones and hit the road. 00:04:54 And here we are in Omaha, Nebraska in the Ashkenazic District. Whatever Nebraska is backwards. We’re going to have a few beers here. 00:05:08 I’m going to say goodbye. That’s a little update from the road. We’re on I-80 the whole way. 00:05:12 We actually got off I-80. For some reason, it routed us around I-80. But we’re back on I-80. 00:05:17 So if anybody’s on I-80, on our route, send me an email. 00:05:22 Rockandrollgeek.gmail.com. 00:05:23 I would love to meet up with you. Oh, I also forgot to say that Joe Pawlak sent me a $250 Penske truck donation about four days ago. And I’m an asshole for not seeing it. 00:05:36 So my apologies, Joe Pawlak, my bodyguard. But thank you so much to Joe for topping everybody’s Penske truck donation. It really helps, and I appreciate it. 00:05:47 Joe Pawlak, one hell of a guy. And if you ever—he likes to travel the country and meet fellow Rock and Roll Geek friends. So look Joe Pawlak up. 00:06:00 He won’t disappoint. Trust me on that one, friends. Don’t let him sit in your Plexiglas chair, though, because he might break it. 00:06:08 Joe Pawlak, great guy, and his beautiful fiancee, Gina. All right, I’m going to wrap it up here. We’re not going to see Joe Pawlak because he’s going to Rush tonight. 00:06:20 Some other band that I don’t remember the name of tomorrow. He’s going to ACDC on Saturday. So we’re not going to meet him. 00:06:27 We’...

This is the story of my rock and roll butler. Welcome to the Rock and Roll Geek Show. 00:00:23 My name is Michael Butler. Thanks a lot for joining me. I really appreciate it. 00:00:26 Today is Wednesday, July 13th, 2026. It’s 5-12 when I’m recording this episode. I am in Cheyenne, Wyoming. 00:00:37 We’re at a place called Little America. I’m with the beautiful, undisclosed person and friend of the show, Ken Grossman. Hey, Michael. 00:00:45 Hey, Ken. I saw Ken back in, when did we play Denver? June? 00:00:54 June of last year. Sometime last year, we played the Grizzly Rose in Denver, Colorado and Ken showed up along with a couple other friends of the show came as well. JB Skulls showed up and somebody else showed up too. 00:01:12 Nice to see you, Ken. You made a two-hour drive all the way to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Hey, just to see you, man. 00:01:18 I really appreciate it. It’s nice to see friends of the show. Long time. 00:01:22 You’re looking good. Oh, thanks. Yeah. 00:01:25 How old are you? What are you, 35? Something like that? 00:01:27 We’re actually the same age, believe it or not. I told him, he got here about the same time we did and he recognized the Ryder truck. It’s not Ryder, the Penske truck. 00:01:36 I’m in a Penske truck driving across the country all the way. We’re on I-80 the entire way. We left San Francisco, got on I-80. We have been on I-80 the entire time, so it’s going to go I-80 all the way to New York, 00:01:51 an undisclosed location in New York. If you are in I-80 anywhere along that route, anywhere east of Cheyenne, Wyoming and would like to meet up, friends, rockandrollgeek at gmail.com or hit me up on the Facebook or Instagram. 00:02:11 I would love to have a beer with you. We are having a fine … What are we drinking here? 00:02:15 Modelo. Fine Modelo’s and the koozie. Kim’s got the Yeti knockoff koozie. I got the extra-tough soft koozie and beautiful undisclosed, Raquel has also a purple Yeti 00:02:30 knockoff koozie as well from Walmart. Take a sip of this fine Modelo. Cheers. 00:02:37 Cheers. Ah, so we were in … Where were we last night? 00:02:44 Not Elko. We were in Evansville. Evanston. 00:02:47 Evanston, Wyoming in the middle of nowhere. We were going to look for a dive bar and there was no Uber, but the guy at the front desk, we stayed at the … Something or other by Win Comfort Inn or something like that. 00:03:08 Anyway, it was a very nice Indian gentleman. No offense to Indian gentlemen, but when I looked in, the lobby was a little bit dirty and the Indian gentleman was eating curry or something and I got a little bit scared. There was going to be a shitty hotel, but it was a nice … It wasn’t bad and he was 00:03:25 a very nice man. He said, well, there’s a taxi service that’ll take you anywhere. Toss 10 bucks anywhere you want to go. 00:03:34 I said, okay, that sounds good. We went up to the room, brought our stuff up and said, we want to go to Spanky’s Bar. Do you know where Spanky’s Bar is? 00:03:41 Yeah, I know where it is. It’s the female taxi driver, but I got to tell you, we’re closing at nine and it was 8.15, so we said, all right, I guess we got to drive the Penske truck. 00:03:55 I really don’t want to get pulled over for drunk driving in a Penske 16-foot truck. That would suck. As we’re pulling out of the hotel, or I should say motel, it’s more like a motel, whatever, we’re pulling out of the motel and about 100 feet past the driveway, we saw the Highway 30 or Highway 80 saloon. 00:04:17 Tavern. Tavern, whatever. Oh, there it is. We drove the Penske truck back to the hotel, slash motel, parked and walked to the saloon 00:04:27 or whatever it was called. We’re looking at places. Where are we going to stop? 00:04:32 Where are we going to stop? We don’t know where we’re going to stop. We had no idea. 00:04:35 I said, oh, I guess I’m going to have to blow Chris Grossman off. Not blow him, but blow him off. I didn’t want to do that. Why don’t we make it an easy drive and drive to Cheyenne and I’ll tell Ken, hey, maybe 00:04:54 we can meet halfway or somewhere. This bartender was there and she saw us looking for places and we were kind of getting cranky with each other and kind of arguing about where we were going to stay. If I piss her off, Raquel, I start getting really bummed out and I start crying in public. 00:05:10 I didn’t want to piss her off. The bartender came up and she says, oh, were you guys … She knew we were traveling. 00:05:15 She gave us some pointers. She told us to stay in Cheyenne. We booked a place called Little America in Cheyenne. 00:05:23 You go down, you’re driving down the freeway and you see $1 ice cream cones. It’s kind of like a Buc-ee’s. All these Buc-ee’s ads. 00:05:33 Have you ever been to Buc-ee’s? Have you ever been to Buc-ee’s, Ken? We have a Buc-ee’s. 00:05:36 Oh, you have a Buc-ee’s up here? We have one. We haven’t seen it yet. 00:05:39 It’s probably about 50 miles from here. If you’ve never been to Buc-ee’s, have you been to Buc-ee’s, Raquel? No. 00:05:44 I don’t know it. Buc-ee’s is the … It’s like Disneyland of truck stops. 00:0...
