Arden Fanning Andrews
This episode of the Run through is brought to you by ebay. Hi, y'.
Alex John Burns
All.
Arden Fanning Andrews
It's Arden Fanning Andrews, Vogue's beauty editor at large. And I'm back to talk about one of my favorite topics, ebay. At long last, I have become a seller. All of my years of shopping on ebay have shown me what to do now. Like, what information do I want to know? What do I want to see? I don't believe in hoarding luxury. You have to share it. And that's why I'm shopping and selling on ebay.
Christian Allaire
Stand clear of the closing doors, please.
Alex John Burns
Good morning, it's Alex. John Burns, a producer on the Run through podcast. And I just got out of Canal street, and I am walking to the vintage sale. It is a beautiful sunny day here in Manhattan, kind of cold, but I'm about to see perhaps the big line of people waiting to get into Vogue's vintage market today. Okay, I'm approaching. It looks like there's a line I'm getting here now.
Margo Ambuba
Hello.
Alex John Burns
Hello.
Irene Kim
Good morning.
Alex John Burns
Thank you. It's windy and cold outside. There is a really long line down the block of. What is this, Mercer Street? With people waiting to get into the sale. Pretty much as far as I can see. You are at, like, the front of the line right now. When did you get here? Literally, just now. I used the same old line, dudes. It's a company in New York for line standards, and I heard about from a friend last year, and she used it and she loved it. And it's a way to save time. So how does it work? So you just pay a head to one of the people that are in charge of the company, and then they send someone here to stand in line for you. Okay, so you're standing in line right now. When did you get here?
Emma Chamberlain
We got here at 8:45am okay. Committed?
Alex John Burns
Yes, very committed.
Emma Chamberlain
We had to be here.
Alex John Burns
Okay, and what are you looking for today?
Emma Chamberlain
I'm looking for brooches, because I think men need to bring brooches in. And I'm also looking for great, like, bomber jackets. I'm thinking, like, maybe like a mandarin jacket or also, like, these Napoleon jackets. I think those are really interesting, so
Alex John Burns
I'd love one of those if I could find it.
Emma Chamberlain
I am looking for jewelry.
Christian Allaire
Some of the jewelry that I got last year has just completed so many
Emma Chamberlain
different looks and outfits.
Alex John Burns
Okay, amazing. And you guys all got here together? Yeah, we met mine.
Christian Allaire
Making besties in line is probably the
Emma Chamberlain
best part of this.
Alex John Burns
It does.
Emma Chamberlain
This line brings people together. It's so fun to so beautiful.
Alex John Burns
Well, coffee, shopping. Good luck in there, and thank you for talking to me.
Emma Chamberlain
Of course. Hi, it's Irene Kim, and I'm the production and editorial associate of Vogue Runway.
Alex John Burns
Can you tell me a little bit about what is going on in here right now?
Irene Kim
Right now it's 10:30, and we are here at the VIP breakfast where friends of Vogue, stylists, influencers, celebrities get a first look at what we're selling today. And it's very crazy in here. We see everyone. We see, you know, Anna Wintour, Adam Baidawi, and the entire Arch Digest team. We have Doja coming down the stairs. Okay, Chloe, what item are you most excited to buy?
Alex John Burns
Well, Doja just told me that she has her eyes on the two hands interlocking Kate belt.
Margo Ambuba
And now I'm like, well, now that
Emma Chamberlain
she wants that, I want that.
Irene Kim
So I don't know. Katan. Chloe Malchoga.
Margo Ambuba
I know.
Alex John Burns
I mean, to be honest, when I did a little pre trial downstairs at
Emma Chamberlain
One World Trade Center, I was very
Alex John Burns
into all of the very small coats that belong to one very small person,
Emma Chamberlain
but they did not fit me, and
Alex John Burns
it was very sad.
Irene Kim
Have you had a chance to walk around today at the vintage market?
Emma Chamberlain
Yes. I saw a incredible jean dress that my mom is a denim queen.
Irene Kim
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
Every outfit she wears has some type of denim on it, and I'm like, I need to figure out a way to get that dress.
Irene Kim
What is the most covetable item at this market?
Emma Chamberlain
Hard to say.
Irene Kim
But I will say there's a Prada
Alex John Burns
look from the fairy collection that would have to be right up there.
Emma Chamberlain
There's an amazing Gucci kimono from Gucci
Alex John Burns
at circa Tom Ford, I believe.
Emma Chamberlain
It's amazing.
Alex John Burns
There's other very good Prada.
Irene Kim
There's some amazing Chanel, which is everyone's
Alex John Burns
yapping about, so that has to be probably. And you? I'm a Dries fan, so you and I know there's some good Dries here too. To be honest, I've just spotted over there those tiny little Gucci bags, and I'm quite obsessed.
Emma Chamberlain
Okay, guys, I'm looking for a very specific item. I've been hunting for this item for three months. It's a Fendi croissant bag. Basically, all it's able to hold is like a card and a lip gloss. And honestly, not even a card because the man should be paying black and white.
Alex John Burns
Black and pink Dries dress. It's like fringe. It's so Olivia Dean coded. And Naomi Alize Blue and I are fighting over it, I'm coveting, as always, Pesquier Balenciaga, vintage Prada, and vintage Margiela. And there's some good Balenciaga in this, all the ladies stuff. And then also for more girly girls, there's a lot of florals for spring. Groundbreaking. There's a Mimi jacket over there that I have my eyes on. I was just looking at the Chanels. People are, like, schmoozing and talking and networking here, but I'm not. I'm just. You're here to show my head is in the racks. Yeah, I love to hunt.
Emma Chamberlain
It's like a sport for me to
Alex John Burns
find most beautiful pieces.
Emma Chamberlain
We're here with the iconic Emily bod.
Irene Kim
She's shopping right now. You're in the sea, going through the racks. What are you holding?
Alex John Burns
You know, I went straight to George Cortina's rack, so I found a sweater of his, and I'm looking at two little halters made out of scarves. So it's Alex Gonzalez Bonnie. Right now we're here at the Vogue market, and I somehow managed to get something already. I feel so lucky. This gorgeous, fabulous Cartier watch. I mean, like, it's just the most insane thing I've ever seen. So chic, so fab.
Irene Kim
Okay, we're here with the one and only Paloma. You donated so much stuff to the Vogue vintage market. Everyone's giving you nuts for it. What is the best item you think that you donated? The best thing I donated was a Jean junior skirt. It's like a mermaid tail junior skir that I love so much. It doesn't fit me, and I'm really excited for another girl to have a new life with it. We're here with global fashion features director Nicole Phelps. She is a Runway expert. Nicole, with your expertise, what is the most covetable item at the boat vintage market tonight?
Alex John Burns
Oh, gosh. Well, I haven't done a thorough search yet, but I do like the Miu Miu jacket in the. In the window, and that is, I think, a 2025 jacket that is a callback to a much, much older collection. I know there's a lot of Anna Wintour Chanel, including stuff that was designed especially for her by Karl Lagerfeld. And I did see one of our
Emma Chamberlain
VIP friends holding on to that coat.
Irene Kim
What did you find today? So I bought Doja Cat patchwork jacket or top? Okay, cool.
Alex John Burns
I bought some green hoops and some
Irene Kim
fabulous Gucci platform heels that are gold with big frills all over. They love that. I don't Know what I need, but it's all fabulous. I'm so excited for you to wear.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm so excited.
Alex John Burns
Thank you.
Emma Chamberlain
That's it for our on the ground coverage of the vintage market. The run through will be back in just a moment with Emma Chamberlain.
Arden Fanning Andrews
I am even more of an ebay scholar as a seller. Picture this, a perfect pair of brand new Prada loafers. They are a little clunky with a round toe and also half a size too small. Even the thinnest sock is not working. The shoes don't fit. And I've had my eye on a pair of pink mesh Converse Mary Janes that I haven't seen anywhere but ebay. So it feels like the right time to let one go and let one in. I was expecting it to be a little bit more complicated than it was, but ebay made it easier than ever. It only took me a few minutes to take a dozen photos, add a few details about the shoes, set my price, and put the listing up. One of my favorite pastimes is making a best offer on ebay. And now I'm excited to get my first offers.
Alex John Burns
Margot.
Margo Ambuba
I'm Margo Ambuba. I'm Vogue's senior beauty and wellness editor.
Christian Allaire
I'm Christian Allaire, Vogue's senior fashion writer.
Margo Ambuba
We are very excited today to have with us Emma Chamberlain.
Emma Chamberlain
Thank you for having me.
Margo Ambuba
Thank you. Welcome to the run through. You look amazing.
Emma Chamberlain
Thank you.
Margo Ambuba
You mentioned when you were walking in you just are fresh off of a red eye. But will you tell us what you're wearing, how you're feeling?
Emma Chamberlain
Yes, I am wearing a full vintage outfit.
Christian Allaire
Vintage.
Emma Chamberlain
Which is so fun. Wait, are you?
Margo Ambuba
Yes. Okay, tell us everything first.
Emma Chamberlain
Okay. So I actually don't even know the brands of everything. Like I switch is vintage.
Margo Ambuba
Makes it better.
Emma Chamberlain
Like I think this top is YSL by the way. Such a like so cringe me being like I don't even know. I think it's why I thought that this cute bottoms. I'm wearing like some cute like boxy capris, gray, a little culotti and then I'm wearing a gorgeous boot. Okay, wait, let's put the boot up.
Christian Allaire
Oh, let's flex.
Emma Chamberlain
Ignore the sock though. That's not chicially but these are great boots.
Arden Fanning Andrews
Great.
Emma Chamberlain
Are they comfortable? No.
Christian Allaire
Well, that's why they're great.
Emma Chamberlain
They look amazing.
Margo Ambuba
Boots are also not comfortable and they're vintage so I feel you.
Christian Allaire
Do you remember where you got it? Like all the pieces are from all
Emma Chamberlain
over so to be honest, no. Like it's actually, well, all of it's from ebay.
Christian Allaire
Oh, we love ebay in this house.
Emma Chamberlain
We love ebay in this house. And I'm a very much like, I love shopping in person. I really do. But there's something about end of a long day, I'm in bed, what am I going to do? It feels productive to like online thrift. Does that make sense? It's not just like online shopping. It feels like more. It's more responsible.
Christian Allaire
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
And so it is indulgent, but it's like I can't even remember half the time, like, when things got added to cart.
Margo Ambuba
I love a surprise male arrival.
Emma Chamberlain
I mean, see, but I'm trying to be good about not purchasing unless I really think first. Like, I want to have something saved for a bit and I want to think about it.
Margo Ambuba
Okay, so your ebay technique is what exactly?
Emma Chamberlain
I mean, I think on ebay specifically, I really like to be specific. Like, I like to think about something in my wardrobe that perhaps I'm missing. And then I like to look up keywords and see what comes up. Okay. And then I kind of let the algorithm take me on a journey from there. I like utilizing algorithms for my journeys. Like, even on, like, when I'm watching YouTube, it's like, you know what, the Internet, it is a mess. It is toxic. But I'm gonna use the algorithm to my benefit if I can.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah. I'm curious what your closet looks like, because you obviously, we said are a vintage girl, but you're a fashion girl in general.
Emma Chamberlain
Well, I, I, I'm in such a unique position where my closet at this very point in time is actually very bare bones. I don't have a lot interesting pieces.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
To be honest, I did, I think it was a little over a year ago now. I did major purge. Yeah, Major closet clean out. And I did that because I had collected. Especially, you know, going to thrift stores, it's easy to sort of overdo it because I think you can. Cause you get a good deal a lot of times, right. It's like you go into a vintage shop and it's like there's so many things that especially for me, who likes to kind of experiment, it was like I'd go into a vintage store or a thrift store or whatever, and I'd see a bunch of different things, and there was so much potential that I would just kind of eyes bigger than my stomach, if you will, and I would just get way too much. And then I got to this point where I had an overwhelming collection of clothing where I couldn't utilize everything. And it was like, okay, someone else can utilize this better than me. And I also cannot deal with this clutter. I need to sort of own the mistake I've made as a consumer ultimately and sort of start over in a way with a different mindset. And so I've done many different things in order to sort of get those clothes in the possession of other people. It's been a process and a journey.
Christian Allaire
Yeah.
Margo Ambuba
Do you have like, special pieces that your friends wanted and stuff? Like in my will it says like, so and so gets this. So and so gets that. Like Hannah Jackson, our co worker.
Emma Chamberlain
Yeah.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
Well, anything that special, I'm keeping.
Margo Ambuba
Yes.
Alex John Burns
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
It was the stuff that I think I. That maybe like was more of an experiment. I did a lot of experimenting and I'd like to use the excuse of like, I work in the fashion space, like I'm experimenting, but I actually didn't need to experiment. Like, it was fully, like, it was like I had to learn and I. But I fully am aware now of not even in a way of like on a fully personal level. I'm like that lifestyle, that way of consuming for my own well being, take every other variable out of the picture. It was not good for me. Like, it was like, it made fashion not fun for me because I was just overwhelmed by what I had too many choices. And so I changed my mindset. It's pretty simple. Quality over quantity. Okay. And also making timeless choices where it's like, okay, I'm going to be able to wear this for years to come. And I think what's also really cool is that working in this industry, I get to borrow clothing, you know, I don't have to, which is so sustainable, which is wonderful. And so. And I also work with my wonderful stylist, Jared Elner, and together we're like fashion soulmates. And we have so much fun pulling from brands and ultimately returning the clothing. It's so. It's like everything I wear to an event, that's not mine, you don't need to own much. You know, people are, I see sometimes comments about say like an outfit and they're like, this outfit costs this much money. And I'm like, well, I did not buy that. Yes, exactly. I rented that and that has been given back. So for me, I think it's weird, like my personal style versus, like my style with Jared and what we wear for more editorial moments or events. It's like there is kind of a different thing going. And I think my Personal style is much more simple, I would say.
Christian Allaire
Well, I was gonna ask you about that. Cause what I love is when you go to a show, like, you fully lean into the vibe of the show.
Emma Chamberlain
Totally.
Christian Allaire
Yes. Like, if you go to McQueen, you're gonna look drastically different than if you're going to Loewe. And I feel like you and Jared have a lot of fun with that. So when did you start, like, fully just, like, succumbing yourself to the vibe?
Emma Chamberlain
I would say I originally started attending Fashion Week, and I would go to one show, you know, and it was sort of like, that was the itinerary. And it was. It was cool because I could really focus on one look, really nailing it. Whatever. In my eyes, whatever nailing was at that time. I look back at what I. I don't know. I think I've grown a lot.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah. It must be great to have that all on the Internet when you're like, it's wonderful.
Emma Chamberlain
It's wonderful. It's great. But, you know, it's humbling. Keeps me humble. Every day, wake up, and I. It's. Then there's my streamy speech, and it's like, okay. But I will say, like. So I got to this point where I was like, you know, I really want to experiment and start going to more shows. And that's maybe a less conventional way to attend shows. In a way. I think I really wanted to try to do Fashion Week in a more experiential way. Like, I wanted to do the whole thing.
Christian Allaire
I love that.
Emma Chamberlain
And that's not the traditional way, you know, you will know what I mean.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
That's not really how Fashion Week usually works.
Margo Ambuba
Unless you're working.
Christian Allaire
You go.
Emma Chamberlain
And you're exclusive to one brand.
Christian Allaire
You go to one show. Maybe sometimes. Totally.
Emma Chamberlain
But I love fashion, for me, is such a hobby and such, like, something that I genuinely, just on a personal level, am looking at on my phone when I'm not at Fashion Week. So for me, it's like, I want to be there. I want to be at multiple shows. And very quickly, once that sort of ball started rolling, Jared and I just, like, we had the best time turning me into, you know, a different character for every show. It just. It's so inspiring, and it's so much fun. Because ultimately, it is fun.
Christian Allaire
Yeah, it is fun. It's supposed to be fun.
Emma Chamberlain
And it's like, it really. I look at it. I still look at fashion in a big way as more of a hobby almost than a job, in a way. I think it's like, still very much a hobby and, like, a love, and getting to participate in it is so special and take little risks.
Christian Allaire
Hey, we love a risk.
Emma Chamberlain
We love a risk, and Fashion Week
Margo Ambuba
is the place to do it. But I have to say, we just did a lot of talking about Fashion Week, and you did share something on your YouTube, a video about. I want to make sure I get the name right. Nobody cares that you went to Fashion Week.
Emma Chamberlain
Correct. I did title it that.
Christian Allaire
Thank you.
Margo Ambuba
Will you explain this to me a little bit, though, after we. We cared that you went to Fashion Week, and we're interested, and we just talked about it.
Emma Chamberlain
Thank you. I think that it's tricky because, like, for me, like, the way that I look at Fashion Week is. It's such a novelty experience for me every single time, and it's something that I'm so grateful I get to do, because it isn't. How do I put this? It isn't necessarily necessary for me to attend. Right.
Margo Ambuba
Okay. Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
Like, I don't need to. Like, I don't need to go. I make a choice where it's like, I want to go because I want to be there, and I want to see collections as they come out. A big part of going is, you know, trying to figure out, okay, what are we gonna wear for, say, events or red carpets or editorial shoots or whatever, you know, so there is sort of a function to it, but also, like, technically, we could do that from the comfort of home. I think really the root of me wanting to be there is because I just am so excited about it, and it's like, it is a hobby for me. But I do think that there is sort of a. Perhaps a stigma around Fashion Week where it is very glam. It's very glam. It's very extra. It's very. Yeah. And I kind of also understand from an outside perspective that it's like, enough with. Enough with the fashion stuff. Sometimes I think. I, I. And I think that's where that title came from for me, was sort of understanding, like, this is completely ridiculous in some ways. It's not, because it also is. I think it's art in a way. If you look at it as art and you look at it as all these things, which is also, by the way, up for debate. Is fashion art? People debate?
Christian Allaire
Absolutely. It is.
Emma Chamberlain
I think it is. But to be honest, it is a big debate.
Margo Ambuba
We might be having a big celebration sort of timed around that in May, Literally.
Emma Chamberlain
I mean, so I guess our opinions are on theme.
Christian Allaire
Yes. There we go, actually.
Emma Chamberlain
But I just. I think it came from an awareness of, like, I can see how it can be even dystopian to perceive this sort of, like, situation of all these, you know, Internet personalities, if you will, at Fashion Week, and actors and people who make music, whatever, everybody there. And it's just. It is. It's a bit dystopian. It's a bit weird. And I think I understand the complexity of it.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
But I also just love it so much because it's so. I just get so excited about it that I want to share it. So I think it was about sharing it with ideally as much as I could in a level of self awareness.
Christian Allaire
Yeah. But you're always so real and candidate.
Margo Ambuba
You were very good. Like. Like sense of humor and self awareness. That is so nice. Like, I've missed so many baby showers, so many, like, weddings and stuff because of Fashion Week or Couture or the Met or whatever. Yeah. Something that we like to ask everyone. Do you have a first fashion memory?
Emma Chamberlain
Yes, I do. Yes, I do.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Christian Allaire
I had it ready.
Emma Chamberlain
I know. Which actually is, like, so bizarre because I don't know why I have this. It's. It was, like, really at the forefront when I was younger. I loved dressing up in costumes, and I had various different costumes. I had a dolphin costume. It was like, almost like a furry situation, like full body suit.
Margo Ambuba
Oh, yes, the famous furry dolphin, of course.
Emma Chamberlain
And then I also had a cat one as well. Purple cat.
Christian Allaire
It was a purple cat lady over here.
Emma Chamberlain
Huge cat. I have two cats. I totally get it.
Margo Ambuba
Tell us their names.
Emma Chamberlain
Declan and Frankie.
Margo Ambuba
Your mom loves you.
Emma Chamberlain
I mean, love. I don't miss you guys right now, though, because it's kind of nice to have a break because I'm super allergic to cats, actually. What? Yeah, I am. I. And I also just did an allergy test, too, and it came back, like, highest for cats. Out of, like, my whole.
Margo Ambuba
Are you going to do I take
Emma Chamberlain
Allegra and I go like this and I get allergy attacks daily. And it's totally fine. I love them so much and. But it is nice to have a break.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah. You're like, I cannot wait to breathe out of my nose.
Emma Chamberlain
My eyes are not itchy today, and that is a treat for me. But anyway, what was I even saying?
Margo Ambuba
A first fashion memory. You're dressing up purple cat dolphin.
Emma Chamberlain
So I like, I loved campy stuff like that. But I think my favorite piece of clothing that I owned was this sparkly pair of Mary Janes that I'd wear with a pink Tutu, usually. And I wore those until my foot was. Was bursting out of them. Like, I. And my. My mom was like, you can't wear these anymore, honey. They're like, your foot. You're hurting yourself. And I was like, no, no. Anyway, so then I just had to, like, deal with. I mean, then I just put the dolphin costume back on and got over it. But. Yeah, but it was like, I really loved. I had very specific things that I was really into that were, like, really extreme, and I made sure to wear them as much as possible, even when it was sort of inappropriate for the setting that I was in.
Margo Ambuba
I mean, dolphins should be allowed in
Christian Allaire
all spaces, not to go back to vintage. Gotta know where you're shopping.
Emma Chamberlain
Yes. Okay.
Christian Allaire
Well, I mean, Bay Area, New York, anywhere.
Emma Chamberlain
Ooh. I mean. Okay. I'm very much the type of person where I don't have, like, one fave vintage store.
Alex John Burns
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
Like, I'm not like, oh, I'm hitting this spot every single time. And this is like my go to.
Christian Allaire
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
Like, for me, when I'm in New York, we'll start there. Because I'm here. Chinatown.
Christian Allaire
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm bopping around.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
You know what I mean? Like in James. Gloria.
Christian Allaire
Sorry.
Emma Chamberlain
I know. Yeah. But also, all the little shops up in that little shopping center.
Margo Ambuba
Yes. It's really become an interesting. Interesting, like, Mecca. Vintage shopping.
Emma Chamberlain
But then right off of Times Square or whatever, there's so many little spots you can pop into. So that's wonderful. I also like. But even to. In. Where is it? It's like near Orchard. On Orchard.
Margo Ambuba
There's like, some spot.
Emma Chamberlain
I love those. I really scored on those. Okay. Los Angeles, I would say. Well, I love the Rose Bowl. Flea.
Christian Allaire
Yes.
Margo Ambuba
Oh, I haven't been in it yet, and I'm dying to go.
Emma Chamberlain
So wonderful. And it's. I mean, it's massive and it's so overwhelming, but it's cool because it's. I don't know, it feels very la and it's all in one place.
Margo Ambuba
Are you a negotiator? Like, no, no, no. Christian and I both like to haggle.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm like a tipper. I. I'm just. I'm at a place in my life where I'm like, if I love something.
Alex John Burns
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm just so grateful I found it. I'm like, take the full price. Here's also an extra $10. I can't. I'm just so lucky. I don't want to buy something unless I pay more for it than it's worth. Almost.
Christian Allaire
Okay.
Margo Ambuba
Like, because then you take care of it. Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
If that makes sense.
Christian Allaire
No, it does.
Emma Chamberlain
I found this like amazing pair. It's my favorite pair of pants right now. It's this like vintage pair of pair of cream work pants. They're like the perfect fit. And I found them at the Rose bowl flea. And I like tried them on at the flea, I think, which was honestly like a little bit of a wild
Christian Allaire
experience because it's like on the open.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah. Not even.
Emma Chamberlain
Not fully. I mean I would by the way, I wear granny panties. It's like, it's like, okay, let me just. Whatever. But I think I got into one of those little tents and I'm like, oh, whatever. And then I'm like trying to find a mirror and I'm whatever. And I look in the mirror and I like was like, whoa, those are good. And I, I was so stoked. I was like, I said to myself in my head, I was like, I don't care how much these are. I don't care if there's some sort of weird rare pant. Like I will drop Japanese dinner only 120s or something. 200 for these. Even though they're like kind of decrepit and they're like stained. Let's do it. I don't remember how much they were
Christian Allaire
cuz I didn't care.
Emma Chamberlain
I was like, these are perfect to me. I like. And that is my new shopping philosophy is like, like I want something to be so perfect. It's a no brainer. Yeah. I like a find. I like a diamond in the rough.
Christian Allaire
I have a hot take question with vintage because I'm kind of disgusting and I won't clean anything when I buy it.
Alex John Burns
Oh, I.
Emma Chamberlain
What's your.
Christian Allaire
What's our. What's our thoughts on this?
Emma Chamberlain
I'm dry cleaning. Sorry. Wait, no, you go first. You go first.
Margo Ambuba
I like. It's known around the office, which is weird. Wear vintage underwear, vintage everything.
Christian Allaire
Yeah, you do.
Margo Ambuba
No problem with putting it on my body right off the, right out of the. And I'm like a digger. I will go to like anywhere right off.
Emma Chamberlain
Just do not care.
Margo Ambuba
Straight away. I open it up, put it on. I do not care. I know underwear is next to me. I know, I know. And also like the places that I go is I go to like warehouses where I'm wearing like full dishwasher gloves pulling through. Try it all on as soon as I get home. I don't care.
Emma Chamberlain
Okay.
Margo Ambuba
Wear it if I want underwear.
Emma Chamberlain
But that I know this makes me feel particularly clean.
Christian Allaire
And yeah, you're like, your girls got away from me.
Margo Ambuba
I'm a very clean person normally. I will like, wash it, obviously, eventually. And I wash everything, like hand wash everything in the bathtub. So I'm doing laundry every night because, like, the cycle of doing it. But yeah, I don't.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm not judging. Here's the thing.
Margo Ambuba
And then sometimes I get distracted and wear it around.
Emma Chamberlain
Totally.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
I don't think you're grimy for that, by the way. I. I'm not judging you at all. However, there was like a rumor for many, for the first, like five years of my career that I was a grimy girl.
Christian Allaire
Oh, really?
Emma Chamberlain
Yes.
Christian Allaire
I think I've never heard this.
Margo Ambuba
Literally.
Emma Chamberlain
So now back.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah, yeah, bring it back.
Emma Chamberlain
No, but everybody. I like, made one joke once that I don't shower or something, and then it like, it lasted for like five years, whatever. But I've gotten progressively more grossed out as I've gotten older. Like a bit more scared of like, things like lice.
Margo Ambuba
You are like, aware or like little
Emma Chamberlain
mites or like little. Or like, what if you put on a pair? Like a little. Like there's some things you can get.
Christian Allaire
I know.
Emma Chamberlain
And I think I become. I think my health anxiety has gotten worse as I've gotten older. So it's not even that it's like, like gross to me. It's more like I literally get it dry cleaned. I will throw it straight in the wash. I'm doing that. But then again, though, I'm at the Rosewell Flea trying on my favorite. And like. But underwear, I think the underwear, I think that's where I draw the line. I think I've hit my limit. But I love that you would do that. And I. And you got to see if it fits.
Christian Allaire
Yeah, true.
Margo Ambuba
I'm like, really hardcore about it and I'm just sort of like, whatever. It doesn't bother me.
Emma Chamberlain
What do you think is like, Christian's
Margo Ambuba
like, end up stuffing?
Emma Chamberlain
I loved it. I loved it. And I hope. And they will probably cut it, but I hope we keep it in.
Christian Allaire
No, I love it. I want to know what the wildest thing you've ever found is, like, out of vintage store market, your holiest grail. Like, what is the craziest thing?
Emma Chamberlain
Okay, I will say I have this vintage Jean Paul Gaultier top.
Christian Allaire
That is a good start.
Emma Chamberlain
No, well, listen, I also have like some random, like, you know what I mean? But this is the coolest piece I think I have. And it's this top. It's maroon, it's like, sweatshirt material. And it's a three quarter.
Christian Allaire
Three quarter.
Emma Chamberlain
Three quarter. But it's not even three quarter. It's like, it's a little longer than three quarter. Whatever. And it has, like, a wide neck. It's maroon. And it has two little pockets on the tummy here and you can put your hands in. And it's gloves.
Christian Allaire
Sheesh.
Emma Chamberlain
No. It's the coolest thing I've ever found. And it's like, so me in a top. And that is my best vintage find.
Margo Ambuba
Love is surprise and delight. Are you, though, coming into it being like, I want this JPG top, or did you find it and fall in love with it, or is there two? There's, like, a surprise thing I hope I find, and then, like, I'm leaving it open to the vintage gods also.
Emma Chamberlain
Well, if I'm in person, I'm just, like, letting it come to me. Like, it's like, full, free for all.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
And I am just letting the vintage designer gods show me the light.
Alex John Burns
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
However, online, I do have, like, certain brands that I know I have looking for. Like, I love vintage cdg. I love Margiela jpg. Like, there's certain brands that I know just, like, have a plethora of vintage that I love.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah, totally.
Emma Chamberlain
That I think we all love, by the way.
Christian Allaire
Like, hello, there's competition.
Emma Chamberlain
Yeah, I know.
Christian Allaire
Are you a bidder?
Emma Chamberlain
I'm.
Christian Allaire
Do you bid?
Emma Chamberlain
But the gambling can be kind of fun.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
Of it all in life in general. Right. But I'm not. That's not where I'm at. I want to be obsessed and be like, this is something that I'm gonna wear for years to come. I'm so convinced. It's like, say yes to the dress level. That's the one deal.
Margo Ambuba
It's a deal that aligns with your closet ethos. I like.
Emma Chamberlain
Yeah.
Margo Ambuba
So I think she really does, like, align with it.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm glad I've arrived here. It was a long journey, the run through.
Margo Ambuba
We'll be back in a minute.
Arden Fanning Andrews
I'm a big believer in making room for what's to come. In this case, it's literally making space in my closet for the items that I've had on my ebay watch list. Like a Paloma Picasso book bag that looks like an actual book with a raised spine and everything. And a gorgeous little tassel. A Jill Sander iridescent jacket and trousers. Dior vintage wool suits. I've bought four, and two were backed by authenticity guarantee, and all of them fit like a glove. I like letting Something go. And investing in what I want the next phase of my life to look like. And ebay always helps make it a reality. I'm already thinking about what I can post next on ebay. Maybe it's the pink knit Miu Miu mini skirt that I have not worn.
Margo Ambuba
I don't know what we are and are not allowed to say, but if you were going to attend the Met.
Emma Chamberlain
Yes.
Margo Ambuba
Would you have already picked your outfit out?
Emma Chamberlain
Oh, we're working.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
Oh, we're working.
Christian Allaire
We're working.
Emma Chamberlain
We are working.
Margo Ambuba
We're in the process.
Emma Chamberlain
We have sketches.
Margo Ambuba
Oh, okay. See? I mean, we're like a month and a half out.
Emma Chamberlain
Well, I'm really fortunate because I work with you all. You know, I do a little bit of what y' all are doing. I do it a little bit. I'm really fortunate that, you know. You know how it is. Like, Met invites, kind of. They're, like, trickling in sometimes for some people until, like, the last week.
Christian Allaire
Totally.
Emma Chamberlain
Brands are filling the tables. It's a whole thing. And I'm so fortunate that I get my sort of invite a little earlier because I'm. I'm kind of. I'm kind of working the day, and so it's so cool because I. I get a lot of time.
Christian Allaire
So you're like a Met veteran almost at this point?
Emma Chamberlain
Yeah, but I don't expect anything. And no. No one ever. Like, you cannot, like, you cannot assume your position. Like, every year I'm like, this could be the last year. And that is absolutely okay with me. I am so grateful that I've ever been able to do it. And I am, like, if I get kicked out and I never get to go to another Met, the fact that I got to go to what this will be like, my.
Christian Allaire
Yeah. What is it? Six. Six? Yeah.
Margo Ambuba
How many have you been to?
Christian Allaire
Almost six, too. I think we might have had. But do you still get nervous? Oh, it seems nervous.
Alex John Burns
How do you.
Margo Ambuba
You don't seem nervous at all. How do you prepare for, like. Like, talking to celebs, talking to people? I mean, you're a celebrity yourself. You do it all the time. I'm sure. But, like, it's a lot of pressure on camera.
Emma Chamberlain
I mean, I think something that brings me a lot of peace, I think now at this point, is that I've done it so many times before. However, I do still feel it's. It's one of those things where, like, I really want to evolve it. I feel, like, really inspired by, like, what. How can I improve this I think my greatest anxiety is, is it's so short, you know?
Christian Allaire
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
Like, you get seconds with somebody, two minutes with somebody right before they're about to go out on the carpet. And a lot of times they're nervous. Cause they're about to walk the biggest carpet of the year. And it's like everyone's. There's so much pressure. Like, I know that feeling because I do that part as well. So it's a really interesting. It's an interesting dynamic where you want to be disarming. You don't want to, like, overwhelm people with questions. They're not necessarily, like, perfectly prepared for it.
Christian Allaire
Right.
Emma Chamberlain
But then also, too, you want to ask interesting questions. But then you also don't want to. Like, the Met is such like a. There's so much complexity to the event and all this. So you also don't want to, like, bombard somebody. It is this dance. And I think I would like to believe that every year I get better at it. I really. I'm. This year I'm. I'm manifesting, like, exponential growth. I'm like. I want to, like, I want to lock in this year.
Christian Allaire
Lock in.
Emma Chamberlain
I'm ready. And maybe I'm jinxing myself. And you all can hold me accountable and say, emma, you did not lock in. You said you were going to and you didn't.
Christian Allaire
But I was gonna ask you. You're so great, obviously, at creating these viral moments on the carpet. We could talk about Jack Harlow, but we won't. But I'm sure you've been asked a
Emma Chamberlain
million times, but, like, people love it. People love that moment.
Christian Allaire
Can you plan, like these amazing viral moments or is it really just like, you gotta hope and pray that you really vibe with someone or how does that work? Like, you really are good at creating these amazing moments on the carpet.
Emma Chamberlain
It is fully, like, to be honest, if you wanna know what the real experience is. For me, my approach is fully feel based, based on the exact ender. I don't want to plan ahead because I. I know how complicated the situation is emotionally, timing wise, you know, so it's very spur of the moment and. And going off of people's answers. What they say, does it seem like they want to keep it surface level? They don't want to dig into anything right now. And they also don't want to talk about the day they've had bad. They just want to like, talk about the look and get on because. And sometimes that's the way it is. And that's totally understandable. And great. Sometimes people, I can feel like, oh, people are looser. And then I just have fun with it and let loose and play and hope that the editors don't cut my jokes because they were too funny. Because sometimes that happens.
Margo Ambuba
Everyone's laughing too hard.
Emma Chamberlain
A little too hard. I'm being a little too silly.
Margo Ambuba
That happens me a lot with this podcast.
Emma Chamberlain
It's fine. But it's like. But honestly, though, I think that's how you create viral moments is. It's.
Alex John Burns
It.
Emma Chamberlain
You cannot plan it. You cannot.
Christian Allaire
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
And because the audience can weirdly feel that they want to feel like they caught something.
Christian Allaire
Right.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
So if there's like, if anything feels remotely manufactured, that will not go viral. It's. You never know it's going to go viral. I swear, every time. In my every viral moment I've had, there haven't been that many, but it's like, every moment, it's. It's been completely unpredictable.
Margo Ambuba
You're like, that. That was the moment.
Emma Chamberlain
I know. Like the Jack Harlow. I would have never. Whatever. And it's. Which is super cool. I mean, I think. But that's also the magic of, like, not going in with a super rigid plan. Like, I think we were able to riff because we just had that energy.
Christian Allaire
Totally.
Emma Chamberlain
And. But again, that's also not necessary in every interview. You're not gonna have that in every interview. Some are gonna be a bit more professional. And I think that that can also be interesting and intriguing in its own way.
Christian Allaire
Totally.
Margo Ambuba
Totally. So obviously, I'm beauty and wellness editor. I wanna know, what are you. Do you do anything to prep? Are you getting facials?
Christian Allaire
Oh, yeah.
Margo Ambuba
Are you. You meditating to get your cortisol down? What is your sleep score if you are tracking it, tell me pre med, post med, I don't care. Just like in your life. But also when you have a big event like this, like, I'm going to give facials and I'm working downstairs, like, typing away on my little laptop because I'm like, I want to look pretty in the building.
Emma Chamberlain
Yeah. No, I mean, it's also, like, fun to like, get into the. I don't know, it's a really glamorous. Like, exciting. It almost feels like a pageant. And like, I really enjoy the sort of. Of the novelty of that experience. And I'm not. I'm not aloof to sort of like how in some ways ridiculous. I think it's. It's like, it can be almost ridiculous. The prep, the.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
The drama of, like, putting together this look when it's like. But it is so much fun, and it is such a special thing. So I, like. I don't. I don't think there's anything wrong with leaning into it. And I definitely do. I will say, in general, I. I definitely am secretly health and wellness girly.
Margo Ambuba
Oh, let's hear it.
Emma Chamberlain
But, like, in the way that I, like, drink my electrolytes. I love my hot yoga. I love walking. I walk a lot.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
That's like, something that's coming with the rotation. The last year and a half.
Margo Ambuba
Like, I've 10,000 steps. It's 20.
Emma Chamberlain
Oh, God, 20 is ridiculous.
Christian Allaire
I was gonna say.
Emma Chamberlain
I was like, I can't. No, it's 10 for me.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
And I try to walk outside.
Margo Ambuba
Yes.
Emma Chamberlain
Get the vitamin D going. That's very important to me. You know, I try to cook my own meals as much as possible. Lots of fiber going.
Margo Ambuba
I want to ask about Forbidden Fruit.
Emma Chamberlain
Yes.
Christian Allaire
Yeah, we have to ask about that.
Emma Chamberlain
Yes.
Margo Ambuba
Because you've made your acting debut recently. Will you tell us what that experience was like?
Emma Chamberlain
It was, like, the perfect introduction to acting for me. And a great, like, experience. Cause it was the perfect size. Like, it was a gorgeously petite role. You know what I mean?
Christian Allaire
Gorgeously petite.
Emma Chamberlain
I got to pop in, experience it, and pop out.
Christian Allaire
Was it a day? Like, a day shoot?
Emma Chamberlain
It was two days.
Christian Allaire
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
I think I was there for, like, two and a half days, like, whatever, which is so short. And everybody else was there for, like, a month. I really wanted to experiment with it, try it in a way that was petite, you know what I mean? Like, a bit more. Because I want to make sure that I'm. I don't want to be taking a lead role and not be ready for that. But I also think, too, how do you, you know, how you feel about the experience until you do it?
Christian Allaire
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
Like, you can only prep so much and understand so much before you just kind of gotta throw yourself into the deep end.
Christian Allaire
Of course.
Emma Chamberlain
And, I mean, I loved it. I. I really love the structure. I'm really used to doing everything myself in my life and career, for the most part. And so this was really cool to, like, step into somebody else's vision and kind of let go and, like, it's not me. I'm being somebody else. You know what I mean? I'm dressing as somebody else. The glam is everything. It was like, like. Yeah.
Christian Allaire
Did you find that easier than you expected to be, like, a character?
Emma Chamberlain
Well, I guess I do do that a lot, especially in, like, going to Fashion Week editorial Shoots. I definitely. But that's definitely a different type of character. Right? Like, that's almost like it's a bit more sexy. You know what I mean? It's a bit, it's like, whereas this was, this was like I'm turning into a completely different person.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah. Literal character.
Emma Chamberlain
Not like a built up version of me. So. But I really enjoyed that and I really enjoyed the whole experience. I thought it was like, I felt more comfortable than I thought I would. And whether or not I did a good job is up to debate.
Christian Allaire
Y' all can debate that today as
Emma Chamberlain
we're recording this, which is really cool. I'm honestly embarrassed about my kissing scene because I think I had a kissing scene. I had a kissing scene and let me tell you, I can't watch it. So I will never know.
Margo Ambuba
Wait, I go like this. How do you prepare for a kissing scene in a movie and lose that? Sorry.
Emma Chamberlain
No, actually I was like, I was like shockingly chill about it. Cause I was like, at the time that we shot it, like, I was fully in a relationship and I was like joking around about it with my boyfriend at the time and he was like, you got this. He was like, do you wanna practice? I was like, I don't know, what do I do? But then I showed up and the dude I shot it with, he was so cool. And we just like, we're like, let's just have fun with it. It's like, not a big deal. It's not that deep. And also, like, we don't like each. It doesn't matter if we think the other's a good kisser. Who cares, right? But it's weird to like, act while kissing. It's like, like, was that Kiss me? No. Yeah, that wasn't like a me kiss. I don't kiss like that. So I think that's why it made me cringe too. Cause I was like, already. I wouldn't. I've never seen myself kiss anyone before anyway. But then it wasn't even a me kiss. It was a acted kiss. So then I was like, ew, who is that? And I can't see it, but I think everybody struggles with seeing that. But it was really, it was, it really pushed me out of my comfort zone in a way that was really inspiring. And I don't know what I'm gonna do next.
Christian Allaire
Do you think you'll do more a
Margo Ambuba
petite medium role next?
Emma Chamberlain
I, I, you never know. I have no clue. I'm really in an intuitive phase of my career right now where I'm like, I have a lot of experimenting to do, to be honest, for this next phase. I'm an adult now. Prefrontal cortex locked in. I'm almost 25 in May. And so I'm a completely different person. And I need to. Like.
Christian Allaire
That's a transformative age. I will say so.
Emma Chamberlain
But the Internet, it's like, oh, it's really scary to, like, be on the precipice of what's next on the Internet, because it's like, oh, I might need to pull back for a second and figure it out. And I've been, like, trying to do that for so many years.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
But I've never been able to do it all the way. And so it's. It's. I'm in a weird moment here, but I'm stoked. I. I feel really inspired, though, and excited to.
Margo Ambuba
Amazing.
Emma Chamberlain
Try new things. And, hey, you know, if I get bullied hard enough out of something, then I'll just try the next thing.
Margo Ambuba
And that's how you started showering.
Emma Chamberlain
And that's how I started. And that's when I took my first shower.
Margo Ambuba
Okay, now we're going to play our game. We have, like, a little this or that. So maybe Christian and I'll switch off. Okay.
Christian Allaire
Vintage themed.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
And I'm gonna keep my answer short. Or do you want me to elaborate?
Christian Allaire
No, you can elaborate a little.
Alex John Burns
Okay. A little.
Margo Ambuba
Like a petite role in a petite elaboration.
Emma Chamberlain
Perfect.
Christian Allaire
I'll start. Vintage bags or vintage shoes?
Emma Chamberlain
Vintage bags, actually. Vintage shoes.
Christian Allaire
Vintage shoes.
Emma Chamberlain
Wait, Vintage shoes. Because I. I don't like putting, like, my, like, stuff. Like, I don't mind my foot being near, like, something that's maybe more used and stuff. Stuff. The bag sometimes will, like, smell like cigarettes and stuff, and I struggle with that a bit.
Margo Ambuba
Oh, my God. When I find a tissue in a vintage bag, it, like, really makes it very.
Emma Chamberlain
No, it's tough.
Christian Allaire
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
Also, too, I, like, will, like, put my phone in there and then put my phone up to my face so it's a bit more intimate. So I would rather have a new bag. Okay. That's my answer. Why am I talking so fast?
Margo Ambuba
Vintage Levi's or vintage Wranglers?
Emma Chamberlain
Levi's.
Margo Ambuba
Okay.
Christian Allaire
I'm a Levi's girl, too. I'm with you.
Margo Ambuba
Oh, this is gonna be a hard one for you.
Christian Allaire
Vintage JPG or vintage Galliano? Two hot ones on the market.
Emma Chamberlain
I own more jpg. Okay, so I'm gonna say jpg.
Margo Ambuba
Vintage leather or vintage denim?
Emma Chamberlain
Ooh, leather. Leather. Because I do love leather and I prefer to have it vintage.
Margo Ambuba
Yes, totally.
Emma Chamberlain
Whereas, like, denim. I'm not necessarily opposed to a gorgeous new pair of denim.
Margo Ambuba
Yes.
Emma Chamberlain
If it was, like, made so beautifully and whatever. But I do love vintage denim, so that's hard. Hard. Okay.
Christian Allaire
Okay. Vintage Chanel, vintage Hermes. Two of the most luxurious brands in the world.
Emma Chamberlain
You know what's wild?
Margo Ambuba
You don't own either.
Emma Chamberlain
I have one.
Arden Fanning Andrews
Hermes.
Christian Allaire
Hermes.
Emma Chamberlain
Yeah. Because I actually have a. A really cool tote bag that I love that is vintage. Yeah, that's my answer.
Christian Allaire
Okay. Okay.
Emma Chamberlain
But those are not my brands. Like, I'm not looking those up.
Christian Allaire
Interesting facts.
Margo Ambuba
Okay, so to close, we want to just know a quick hit on what your cultural diet is right now. Is there anything that you're loving? Is it that you're reading something? Are you listening to something? Is there a song you can't get out of your head? I was saying I'm learning the Midnight Sun Zara Larson dance right now. Are you gonna learn it?
Christian Allaire
Can't get out of my head now.
Margo Ambuba
Are you gonna learn it with me and do it at the mat? What's happening?
Emma Chamberlain
Okay, well, obviously, I need to get. See, I'm so off the Internet, I don't scroll on anything. The only thing I do is watch YouTube. And I watch the most random, random things on YouTube. Like, it couldn't be more random. Like, I can't even give you, like, a genre. Cause it's, like, it changes every day.
Irene Kim
Yeah.
Emma Chamberlain
But I'll, like. I'll, like, watch, like, a video essay on Applebee's, and then my next video will be, like, a new music video from, like, an artist that I, like, know one song from. And for some reason, the algorithm knew that I'd want to see that music video. It's very random. Okay, I will say my favorite song right now. Heavy Metal Drummer by Wilco. Weird. Weird. There it also is, like, about me. I feel like I. It was, like, one of my favorite songs as a kid.
Margo Ambuba
Oh.
Emma Chamberlain
And I heard the song again because my dad used to play it around me.
Arden Fanning Andrews
Cool.
Emma Chamberlain
And then I heard it again as an adult, and it was something like shiny pants and bleached blonde hair. And I was like, this is my song. I was like, that's so me. But also, it's a great song.
Christian Allaire
Great song.
Emma Chamberlain
So I'm like, on repeat. The plane's taking off. I'm having flight anxiety. Heavy metal drummer. She fell in love with the drummer. Another, then another. She fell in love. Everything's fine.
Christian Allaire
Oh, love. Well, on that note, thank you so much for coming.
Margo Ambuba
I know. Me neither.
Christian Allaire
Just stay.
Margo Ambuba
Thank you. Thank you so much for joining us on the run through. Yes.
Christian Allaire
We'll see you at the Met. We'll see you on the red carpet. We'll see you at Fashion Week.
Margo Ambuba
Yeah.
Christian Allaire
Who knows?
Emma Chamberlain
Who knows? This is just the beginning of us.
Christian Allaire
There we go.
Margo Ambuba
I think so too.
Emma Chamberlain
Okay, good.
Margo Ambuba
That's our show for today. Bye.
Emma Chamberlain
The run through with Vogue is produced by Chelsea Daniel, Alex DePalma, and Alex John Burns, with help from Emily Elias. The show is engineered by Bran Bandee and mix by Mike Kutchman. Bye.
Arden Fanning Andrews
One of the reasons I'm starting to sell on ebay is so that I can make room to start shopping the trends that I saw at Paris Fashion Week. One trend that I'm really loving right now, I'm sort of like loosely calling escapist analog because it's this homage to pre cell phone, like pre social media moments when everything was a physical copy, whether it was a dvd, a cd, cd, a vinyl, a magazine, a book. You can obviously find pristine and perfect clothes on ebay. But if there's something that was really cherished by its owner and pre loved, that's really cool too, because there are frayed threads and a lot of visibly worn items walking the Runway. That really gives you permission to not let everything be too perfect. Right now I do have my eye on some vintage J. Crew leather flats, and they're such high quality and really hard to find anymore. Also, there's a Whiting and Davis mesh top that is disco era, very dance club energy. And I've been watching it for a while and making best offers, but I have yet to woo the seller. But I'm still hopeful because now I do have a plan. I'm going to keep selling some of my own pieces on ebay and start making bids on my dream editions because that's the circle of life for my wardrobe
