Francesca Sipma
This is the Spiritual Hustler podcast. Well, hello my beautiful spiritual hustlers and welcome back to the podcast. I hope that wherever you are listening to this that you're just using this season, we're coming in hot. Actually should say we're coming in cool at the end of 2024. And I love this time of year. I love, I love the holidays. Not only just because they're the best time to eat a lot of really good food and get into the holiday cheer, spend time with family and slow down, but to really use this time to reflect and dream. I love a new year. I love a fresh start. I love that we're moving into a new Chinese New Year, which if you listen to my episode with Christina Hollinger on feng shui, which you must go back and listen to, you will know that next year we're heading out of the year of the Dragon and into the year of the Snake. You can go look into what that means, but essentially next year is going to be a yin year. The snake is a feminine animal, apparently, according to Chinese astrology. And the dragon, which is the year we've been in, is a masculine animal. And I don't know about you guys, but this year has been definitely a year of creation and action and fire and expansion and it's been so beautiful, at least over here where I sit in, you know, Nashville, my little life. Launched a book this year, sold my business this year, started a new business this year launched a brand new program. My signature flagship program called the Feminine Frequency business school took 54 women through that sold out my retreat that's happening in the beginning of 25 in Mexico with 21 incredible women. But you know, it's. It's been a push. It's been a season of hustle, spiritual hustle, no doubt, but a lot of action and that Yang energy. And wherever you are in the world, whether you're in the Western hemisphere where the time has changed and the days have gotten shorter, it gets really dark here at like 4:30 in my part of the world. And I have felt that shift in my body of really an earthly call to slow down and go within and to embrace non productivity. I've really built my business this year in a way that really supports me as the CEO, as the founder, as the queen. I talk a lot about this in my program. I'll be sharing more about this on the podcast. You know, I've built three businesses at this point in my life. And I've traditionally built businesses where I am in the business where I am in charge of most decisions that I am the bottleneck typically and really spinning a lot of plates. And that has really led to a lot of burnout, to my ultimate burnout that has shifted my entire trajectory and why. I launched this podcast called the Spiritual Hustler to help you, to help all of us build our businesses differently. And I want to acknowledge that even when we have recalibrated and set our businesses up where we can truly be supported, to really stay in our lane of genius and magic and creativity and flow, the feminine right and. And we have to have those masculine structures with our systems and our operations and our people and our strategies. No matter how well we do that. There are of course going to be seasons of sprint and this has been a sprint year for me. I really want to thank you all for those of you that have been on this journey of this podcast for the last year. I not even a year I launched I rebranded this podcast in March. I've been podcasting for five years, but repeatedly rebranded the show to the Spiritual Hustler not even a year ago. And many of you have gone along on this journey watching me launch this book the Light Work. So many of you have picked up a copy of it if you haven't yet. Go do so the light work. Reclaim your feminine power, live your cosmic truth and illuminate the world. That book channeled through me in three months. I was simply the vessel that is a book for you. I really wrote that from my soul, from a higher place so that you could unlock your lights that's why there's a key on the COVID And so I just want to thank you for being on this journey with me. And I want to give us all permission right here as we head into the holidays to hit the downshift, to open up space in your life to do nothing. I want to give you radical permission to do nothing. That is kind of the vibration that I'm in. I've actually had some weird moments of guilt. Like my days during the week have been a little slower and I'm like, what's wrong? Like, why am I not producing and why am I not answering? Answering a million emails. What do I do with my hands? Like, I, I have moments like that and I have to stop myself every time and thank the goddess, thank my team, thank my past self for designing a business that allows me to breathe. And that is my highest intention with every single conversation that we bring into this space, that you realize that your power isn't in your doing, but it is in your being. It is in you living your truth, living your light, trusting yourself, recognizing your worth, knowing that everything that you want is available to you and that we really don't have to try that hard to, quote, unquote, accomplish that. It's already done. Everything that you are desiring is on its way in its perfect time. And the more we let go and the more we trust that the more we manifest, the more we magnetize, the more we open up space for miracles. And I couldn't think of a better guest today to come on and share her magic with you. This is a woman that I have gotten to know really well this last year. She actually brought me into her business as her coach and it was the greatest gift. She is by far and away one of the most amazing women I've ever met, let alone to get the privilege and honor of calling a client. But I really wanted to bring her on, not only to share her beautiful story, but for her to give you her codes. Because this woman has codes and she has really cracked the code on how to manifest your dream life. Truly, you're gonna wanna pay attention to this conversation intently because she has truly given us the playbook, if you will, and how to unblock your self limiting beliefs, unblock your trauma, unblock your scarcity, and unblock your purpose with a tool that we all have and it's free and it's our God given gift and that's called our breath. Francesca Sipma is the founder and CEO of a company called Mastery. And she is the creator of a revolutionary technique called Hypno Breathwork. And I have worked with Francesca's Breathwork app. It's Mastery is an incredible app that you can download on your phone. You're going to want to go do that as soon as you hear this because her stuff is legit, you guys.
Jessica Zweig
It's beyond.
Francesca Sipma
And she's been able to incorporate in all of her work in her retreats and her certification programs, the power of hypnotic suggestion and visualization to actually rewire the mind. She supported companies like Deloitte and Athletic Brewing and Staples and medical professionals and elite athletes and educators across the world to reach peak performance. And what's so amazing about Francesca is that she wasn't always in this space. She actually came from New York City. Fast paced advertising life. She hustled herself, she hustled hard. And she's going to share today her journey of how she found herself really through spiritual work and her travels to Bali and India and Peru that would not only change her life forever, but change the course of thousands of people's lives. And she's coming out with a new book, it actually launches today called Unblock your purpose, Breathwork, Intuition and flow state. And we're going to get into all of it today. And so if you haven't yet tuned into her work, I'm going to leave links to all of it in the show notes. You're going to want to go buy her book, follow her on Instagram, get an involved in her email list and just follow her journey. Because this woman is a powerhouse and she's really setting an example for what's possible by the way. She lives her own life and we really get to the heart of how she's done this for herself. She is living proof that breath work works. And I know that this is going to be not only an education on really the power and the science and the magic of breath work, but a complete permission slip for you to follow your call, get into alignment, tap into your flow states and really, truly manifest your dream life. And it's so simple, it's really so much simpler than we think. And my highest intention here on this show is to give you all the codes on business and branding and leadership and feminine power and of course, the quantum. It's all one big tapestry of how we're designed. It's all connected. It's intrinsically connected. And this conversation today is going to give you hopefully an even clearer path to that truth within yourself. So without further ado, here is my incredible conversation with the boss. Babe, badass lightworker Francesca Sitma.
Jessica Zweig
Francesca, it's so good to meet you in person. I mean, I'm. I have a mad girl crush on you. I'm serious. It's just been the biggest blessing to get connected to you this year and to have you in my studio talking about this new book you're about to birth into the world. Before we get into all things, unblock your purpose and you and your story, I always ask my guests the very first question. Do you know what the Spiritual Hustler podcast means? The essence of the show is really, you know, reframing this word hustle from a new vibration. So my question for you is, what are you currently spiritually hustling for?
Francesca Sipma
I am spiritually hustling for a new way of being. So it's actually a very similar concept and we have a lot of parallels in our work. Right. And I want to still hustle and make impact, and I'm still a type A achiever, but I want to do it with a lot more flow and I want to give other people and women permission to do it from their feminine.
Jessica Zweig
Yeah, let's go. Let's go. So, so much of, I think what has led us to a point as women in this current collective consciousness around hustling in an old paradigm that isn't really ultimately serving us. I call it the toxic masculine patriarchal mode. It's not our fault. Like, we're not bad. I think it's really based on conditioning from childhood. And you do really masterful, pun intended work when it comes to hypno breath work. And I want to know, based on your experience, how can we use your method and your work to really go that deep? Is it possible to really unblock ourselves from that level of childhood trauma?
Francesca Sipma
It's definitely possible to start to rewire and to change your habits and to change your conditioning, but it does take going deep into your subconscious. So I know in my journey, it's been a bit of a deconstruction and dismantling what I thought success meant and what it looked like and allowing myself and giving myself that permission to do it with more grace and with more flow instead of forcing outcomes and letting things come to me. But there's like, practice in that. It's almost like daily reminders to surrender a little bit more, to trust a little bit more, to not have to send 150 emails that day and hope that maybe those three will have the more impact because there's momentum and energy and intuition behind them. So it's a daily practice of changing your Habits?
Jessica Zweig
Yeah.
I mean, you are such an anomaly to me and I say that in the most complimentary way because you're a badass. You have been a high achieving woman and I want you to go into your story and tell us more about the woman that you were living in New York. You were sending 150 emails a day. You've accomplished a lot. And take us up to the moment where hypno breathwork or breath work and this whole space became available to you and how that shifted your life because now you teach it to the masses. But first you were the student to it.
Francesca Sipma
Yeah. So my background is that I used to work in advertising and marketing, very fast paced in New York City. And I had sort of reached my goals and the things that I thought would really fulfill me and make me happy. And it turns out it was just an insatiable mode that once I got to those things, I was looking for the next one, the next promotion, the next trip, the next account, the next client, the next guy. I was never present in the moment. And one day just woke up and I was like, I feel empty, I feel miserable, I feel insatiable. There's something broken, there's something fundamentally wrong. And so I thought, you know, I'll move to San Francisco because I want to try something more entrepreneurial. Maybe I need more autonomy. And that definitely didn't work because the city just wasn't for me. But it did force me to go inward because it didn't have all the stimulation and the partying and the fun of New York City. And I started reading, which was new for me at the time, and I came across the Power of now. And that was so powerful for me because I learned how to get still. I learned how to tune into my body. I learned how to stop worrying about the past and the future and to just learn how to ground in the present. And that's when my whole body and my intuition told me to go to Bali and to go to this seven day breathwork retreat. And that just completely changed everything for me because I thought I was, you know, a self aware into development and knew my patterns and my voids and the breath took me into my subconscious. And it was so revealing and so cathartic and so healing that it just became a mission. I had to bring it to more people. I had to explore myself deeper and I had to modernize it so that more people would experience it.
Jessica Zweig
Okay, so many things I want to go into because I want to talk about the breathwork piece. But before we do I, I want to actually have you share how you've actually transformed your career and the brand that you've built and the business that you've built because you are no longer that ad executive marketing hustler from New York. You're living in California, you're often going to Bali. You've built a personal brand platform. Really take us through your model and really the beginning of that courage that, that entrepreneurial courage that you got to, to really switch paths.
Francesca Sipma
It was honestly just a process of daily intuitive action. So after I had that experience in Bali, I was like, okay, I need to go back to work and be a responsible adult. My body was like rejecting that notion of going back into marketing. And my intuition and I have chills as I tell this story, was like, no go to India, no go to Peru, no go to Thailand. Explore more modalities, learn more about breathwork, learn about hypnosis, Ayurveda, Ayahuasca. And so it really took me on a full on healing journey. And I was just listening to myself every day. Instead of my ego and society and what my parents thought I should do, I was just tuning into myself and I was booking these flights and I was going to these workshops and retreats and it was really uncomfortable, but I was just doubling down on my intuition. And I would get little synchronicities that would reward me along the way, like a thousand dollar flight voucher here or I would meet some amazing human there. And so I knew I was doing the right thing, even though I had no clear direction, which I was used to. And then eventually the consistent breathwork gave me clarity that I was supposed to become a coach. And even in that retreat in Bali, I had birthed an entire concept, like an entire company idea. UX frameworks, you know, logos, fonts, designs, acquisition strategy. I was like, who? Oh, I think I'm gonna bring like a Breathwork app into the world. Like I'm gonna fuse this with modern day technology. So I thought I knew that was kind of a north star and on the forefront. But the universe had this whole different plan for me where I had to become a coach first and really understand people and understand their behavior patterns and what vocal cues and what cadence and how to craft a really effective journey. And so I just honestly listened to myself, did breath work every single morning. And I still do breath work every single morning.
Wow.
And it's how I have built my business, it's how I've scaled my business. Every single idea that I've birthed into the world from My app to my courses, my certification, my retreats, my book. Everything came from breath.
Jessica Zweig
Wait craze to pause for a second. I mean, there's so many questions I have about breathwork. Walk us back through your daily practice. I'm curious, like, give me the details, how you start your day. What exact practices are you doing for yourself?
Francesca Sipma
So it started with me just listening to the playlist that my teachers gave me from Bali and breathing and sort of setting an intention and seeing what would come through. And then I would go to different workshops and I would see different teachers. But what I saw was there wasn't a lot of structure to a breathwork session five years ago. It was just, you know, play some shamanic music and see where it goes and it will be healing, but you won't necessarily know how to connect your experience to your intention. So I saw this huge opportunity to infuse more hypnotherapy principles and almost talk myself through different questions that I needed. Why was I triggered that my boyfriend did that? And then I would breathe and I would get an answer. How do I want to show up differently? And then I would breathe and then I would see my higher self. What's my next action step to have more vulnerability or connection in my relationship? And then I would see the thing I needed to say to him or the act of service or love I need to do. I was like, whoa, Could I make customized, topical thematic breathwork sessions and get other people to have these same results? And so then I started making my own products and I would do my own breathwork sessions. I would just listen to my own voice and my own journeys. And it was amazing. But I was like, I don't want to log into this platform every time on my laptop to do this 30 minute session. And so that's when the app really came to life, because it's what I needed. What topic do I need today? Today I'm triggered about this. I'm procrastinating over this. I need more self love here. And I created with my coaches 80 different sessions that are universal human behaviors and triggers that people have that we need to breathe through for 20 minutes to be our highest self, have clarity and take action from every day.
Jessica Zweig
And everybody needs to go download mastery right now. So good. I mean, I am a student of yours and I've listened to those meditations and they are legit. They're really powerful.
Francesca Sipma
You did the belief session, which I love, because, you know, halfway into my journey, I started to get diluted in my belief of the mission, because I started, you know, I took investor money, and then it's a whole different game because it's about data and it's about revenue and less about the impact. And I was starting to really second guess myself. And I was like, I need to connect back to being of service. I need to connect back to my mission. And so I created that session called Belief on Mastery. And I made it free because I was like, this is what everyone needs to be their purest, most authentic self and keep going after their dreams. And I do that session all the time to get back into alignment. All the time. Yes.
Jessica Zweig
Wow. So I want to talk about the mechanics of breath work because you. You've blended hypnosis, hypnotherapy with breath work, with the questions and the themes, but from a biological perspective. Because I've done breath work, yeah, quite a few times. And it is more powerful than doing plant medicine. Like I have gone up into. There was one particular session, Francesca, where I literally saw my entire spirit team.
Wow.
Like, I have a council. And they. I think we all do. And they were sitting in a half circle around me. One of them is my grandfather. My grandfather had a carpentry accident when he was young, and he lost a finger.
Francesca Sipma
Oh, wow.
Jessica Zweig
And I could see his hand. I mean, from an hour of breathing.
Yeah.
I was able to access a completely new dimension. What is happening, like, in our brains? Can you explain how that is possible?
Francesca Sipma
So you're changing the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in your body. And what that does is it starts to shut down the prefrontal cortex. That's your analytical mind. That's the default thought loops. That's the old stories that we're constantly telling ourselves. And we're breaking through into the subconscious. And the subconscious is the storehouse. That's the record holder of all of your experiences, your values, your beliefs. That's the depth that we want to get into in order to create real change. So in breathwork, you're activating the subconscious, and you're starting to access stored memories. And maybe it's those childhood memories that developed the coping mechanism and the protective strategy. And then simultaneously, the exhale is breathing out the root of the emotion, and it's dissipating the trigger in real time as you're gaining this awareness. It's so profound, you know, and. And I think it's so powerful that you said it's. It's more powerful than plant medicine. And I had a very intense experience with ayahuasca. And I will say that it, it shifted me quite a bit. And it. And it was very profound. But the breath work is something I can do every single day.
Jessica Zweig
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
So that I can be a better version of myself and I can deal with real life things as they come.
Jessica Zweig
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
The rejection from the investor, you know, the disappointment from the client, the user feedback that makes me feel like that little girl that didn't get chosen. You know, all the things that we deal with as entrepreneurs. There's so many psychological blocks and barriers and milestones. And so for me, that's why it's so powerful to breathe every day. I don't want to do ayahuasca every single day. It's like I don't want to do it again after that one experience. So this is just a way for us to have a really efficient and effective and results driven way into personal development.
Jessica Zweig
Amazing. Let's talk about flow states, because I'm just so curious. It's a huge part of your work. You work with a lot of. As a high performer. High performers. That term, that word is such a buzzword. I remember hearing Steven Kotler speak. He's amazing. But I think for many people, it seems like something out there that's not something. It sounds nice.
Yeah.
And yet not something we can constantly, obviously be in. And so I'm curious to know how one, we get into flow states and how flow states really work. What happens in the unblocking, unlocking of new possibilities.
Francesca Sipma
So flow state is extremely accessible and you can actually hack it in 20 minutes with breath.
Jessica Zweig
Tell us.
Francesca Sipma
And everyone can do that.
Jessica Zweig
Okay.
Francesca Sipma
So flow state is optimal consciousness. It's when you're in your zone. Right. Things are effortlessly flowing. You're intrinsically motivated, you're productive, but you're also in alignment. And that's like the best sweet spot ever.
Jessica Zweig
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
So the way that it's working is once again, you're going into your subconscious. And because your subconscious is the storehouse, that means everything that you've ever been inspired by, every experience you've ever had, every work skill that you've developed, every conversation, all of those things are housed in the subconscious. And when you have a focal point, an intention, and a song that corresponds with it, and I say see the project, see the 2025 roadmap, see the pitch, see yourself on stage, see the company mission, see how you want your team to collaborate. When I give you those very focused cues around your goals, your brain will start to come up with creative solutions and it'll start to connect the dots in really New and innovative ways. So it's so exciting. And I learned how to create this flow state breathwork when I was trying to take my breathwork coaching off the ground. You know, I approached it like an ad exec. And I had a war room in my bedroom, and it was like, physiological benefits, psychological benefits, spiritual benefits, messaging strategy, content, pillars, media channels, partnerships. And I had all of these on white sheets around my bedroom. And then I would go in to breathe, and it would be like, boom. This word with this person, this email, and this video. And I'd be like, whoa. And I would get complete downloads for my messaging. The fonts, the colors, the what I would wear.
Jessica Zweig
20 minutes of breathwork.
Francesca Sipma
20 minutes. And the first insight comes within like, five or six minutes.
Jessica Zweig
So because I've been in breathwork sessions that are like an hour and a half or, like, longer. Do you or you believe it too long that we can achieve that kind of unlock in 20 minutes or less?
Francesca Sipma
So if you do the 2 part inhale and 1 part exhale, typically it takes around 4 minutes for you to enter deep theta states.
Jessica Zweig
Wow.
Francesca Sipma
And that's the goal, is to get into your theta brain waves where you're more suggestible, where you're more open to new expansive ideas. So I would practice with an EEG headband and see that with breath work, I was getting there in four minutes. With meditation, it was taking about 12 to 15 minutes, and I would still oscillate totally. So the two part inhale, one part exhale is really effective in terms of dropping us in really fast.
Jessica Zweig
Through two through the nose, out through the mouth.
Francesca Sipma
Yeah.
Jessica Zweig
Okay.
Francesca Sipma
Two inhale through the nose, one exhale out of the mouth. But there's a craft to this, you know, and it's something that I teach in my certification and with my coaches. But the way we set intentions, the story that I tell in an introduction, the benefits, the way that I prime the room, the music that we choose, the vocal cues, the way that you set it up, there's really a meticulous craft that goes into a flow state hypno breathwork session so that we make sure that we deliver those results. We want to bring content to the surface. So sometimes before that, we breathe. I'll have people do a creative brainstorm. Tell me all the solutions to that goal. Tell me all the people that can help you get there. So now their brain's going. We're already priming it. So we don't need that much time and breath. Because as soon as they drop in, the answer is going to come. It's going to reveal itself, and it's going to be fast.
Jessica Zweig
I have the chills. I can feel it. We've talked on the phone and zoom so many times, and to be in your energy is. I can see how powerful you are.
Francesca Sipma
Can I. Can I throw you off for a second?
Jessica Zweig
Oh, God. Let's go.
Francesca Sipma
Yeah, I want to throw you off for a second because I was thinking, obviously, reflecting on being here with you today, and I just felt really warm, and I felt, like, so excited to have a conversation with you. I have chills right now as I say that. And I was thinking about it, and I was like, there's something so different about you. And I was like, what? What is it? Like, how would I, like, explain it to someone? And what came through for me is you come off so healed.
Jessica Zweig
Oh, wow.
Francesca Sipma
And none of us are healed.
Jessica Zweig
Right, Right.
Francesca Sipma
But you come off like you've done so much of the work, like, you have done so much deep work on yourself that you have no ego, and you're so truly supportive of everyone that enters your vortex. And your energy is honestly so inviting, and it's just really beautiful and loving, and I'm really not used to that. And I was like, there's something so special about how she invites people in. And then I saw this really funny. I saw this TikTok video of the Voice, and Gwen Stefani was saying to the singer, she's like, I've made my dreams come true, and now I just want to help you make your dreams come true. And I was like, that reminds me of Jessica.
Jessica Zweig
Well, first of all, Gwen Stefani is my spirit animal.
Francesca Sipma
Oh, my God.
Jessica Zweig
That's so crazy.
Francesca Sipma
That's weird.
Jessica Zweig
So it's so random. Anytime anyone asks me, like, who would you have dinner with? I'm like, always say, Gwen Stefani. I just loved her since I'm just a girl in my freshman year of high school.
Francesca Sipma
Thank you for all of that.
Jessica Zweig
That is beautiful to receive. Thank you for saying that in front of my community and to. To reflect that to me. I really think people are amazing. I really just do. I find them to be magnificent. And it's my greatest highest. I get into a flow state when I get to uplift, support, activate other people. And you really gave me that as a gift this year. It was meant to be. I don't really consider you a client or passing consider you a sister, like a sister on the path. And I just think one of the best things about having this space is getting to meet all of my Favorite people in person. So thanks for coming into my studio.
Francesca Sipma
Thanks for having me. But really, you just have that energy, and you just believe in everyone as soon as you meet them. I think that really is a reflection of how much work you've done on yourself. I'm still. So when you say I think people are magnificent, I'm like, wow. Really? Like, I'm so jaded still. You know, I'm still peeling back layers.
Jessica Zweig
You are.
Francesca Sipma
And. But it's. It's expansive to be around you, so thank you.
Jessica Zweig
Well, thank you. That actually is a beautiful dovetail. You didn't throw me off too much on my next question because that took work, like you said.
Yeah.
You know, I've done a lot of work, and I've not had it, quote, unquote, easy. And so much of this podcast is a response to my dark nights of the soul hustling in the toxic patriarchal cycle of, like, validation and affirmation. And really, underneath it all, it was just me wanting to make my daddy proud of me. Like, it went so deep. And, you know, I've come out on the other side embodied in another, in a new vibration that I know my worth. I know I'm safe. I know that when you win, I win. We all win. Like, that's just what I know to be true. And I know that there's a lot of women who listen to my show that are growing and doing the work, too. And they come to me and they. They listen to me because they want to really accelerate, not just their impact and their consciousness, but their businesses, too. And I think there's a lot of stickiness women have when it comes to money, like our words around manifesting wealth, stepping into abundance, like, real abundance. And so my question for you is, because you have a handful of meditations and mastery, and I mean, you're. You're very empowered and you're worth as well. How can we use breath work or any of the things that you're bringing through your work to empower women to know their value, to make more money.
Yeah.
To manifest at a different capacity and speed. I'm just so interested to know how you connect that to breath work.
Francesca Sipma
Yeah, I'm obsessed with using hypno breath work for abundance.
Let's go obsessed.
Because I think that one of the biggest challenges of why people don't live their purpose and they don't go pursue something that makes them happier is the financial security we're so conditioned to need. The biweekly check and the bonus in the 401k. And then we'll play small for decades or our entire life, because taking that risk is too scary. But when you do breath work, then you start to open your portals for income. You start to see different revenue streams. You start to have creative ideas of how you can call in abundance or create programs or work with certain people or pitch yourself. And there's so many layers when it comes to money. So, for example, you know, when I had the courage to and my ego had to die to go from, like, director titles in Manhattan to a breathwork coach, I did breath work on that. But then there was a point in my journey where I went completely broke, and it was terrifying. I was $20,000 in debt, my credit card declined at a hot yoga studio, and I was doing sessions around West Hollywood where people were like, you've changed my life. Your work is life changing. I'm like, okay, I'm living my purpose. How am I broke? Like, this isn't. I'm like, universe, like, what's up? Like, this is really strange. So I did breath work on it, and I saw that I had three limiting beliefs around money, and they were that I resented money because it made my father absent. I was irresponsible with money because my mom protected me from scarcity and that I was overcompensating for my stepdad's frugality. And I was like, whoa. I thought I had a great relationship with money. I had no idea that those were the three beliefs that were lying in my subconscious. So I breathe them out. I see a new future where I can go off on my own. I don't need a corporate job in order to have abundance. And I start to visualize this new future and what that might look like. And then, of course, as the universe would have it, I got invited to go to this spiritual entrepreneur workshop. And that's when I learned about pricing and packaging and how to position my offers differently. And kid you not. Next day, first 10k client chills. Because I had the quality of the work, right? But I didn't have the business strategy, which is something important for people to know about you, because you are, like, so genuine and so kind and so feminine, but you are fierce. Like, you are sharp, and you are so strategic.
Jessica Zweig
Thank you.
Francesca Sipma
And you do have to have both.
Do.
We are not promoting living in love and light and just, you know, flying free. It's like, you have to have structure and organization in your business. And so I cleared the money blocks. I got clarity on the new solution. And then it was like, 10k client, 15 client, you know, 26k. And then group courses and certification, 100k months. Like, all these things were opening up to me, but then it was like, next belief was, money comes as fast as it goes. So I was like, oh, I'm an overspender when I have it. All right, how do I breathe on that? And learn how to hold money and learn how to save money, learn how to invest money and invest in myself? So that was my next reprogramming in a breathwork session. So there's still. And I still do it. I do the abundance sessions all the time because I have so many different behaviors when it comes to money. We all do.
Jessica Zweig
And cue my entire audience going to download those. Those meditations. That's insane, Francisca.
Francesca Sipma
And the biggest thing, too, is I think we don't necessarily come from a society where we know how to invest in ourselves.
Jessica Zweig
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
It seems like a luxury, which in my opinion, I'm sure yours. That should be baseline to me. Now, the most important places that my money goes are my health, my energy, my skills, and my experiences. And I always make intuitive decisions around that, too. So that's what the breathwork does, is it helps you make intuitive investment decisions. Because sometimes if you're a type A and you're a grinder, you'll just invest in every training and every certification because you think that's what you need to do, but your whole body will be like, no, actually, just work with Jessica for this period of time. And that was one of my action steps.
Jessica Zweig
Right.
Francesca Sipma
And I reached out to you, and. And it was one of the best things I did because you gave me an entire blueprint of what was coming with this book launch, and that was invaluable for me.
Jessica Zweig
I just want to reflect because I want to talk about the book. The power of the Quantum with the 3D.
Yeah.
The masculine, the feminine. Listening to how you really worked with intuition and how you were able to manifest it into actual, tactical, tangible life changes in your bank account as much as your consciousness. It just really speaks to the power of that spiritual hustle.
Yeah.
Just wanted to reflect that.
Francesca Sipma
It's part functional, you know?
Jessica Zweig
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
Like, I have visions and downloads and breath work about, you know, big speaking opportunities and book tours and stuff like that. But then my next action step is, okay, invest in a writing coach, invest in a speaking coach, Invest in my speaker reel. Invest in a business strategist, Invest in PR company. And it's a process to get there. It's not like, oh, I manifested this vision and then it just lands on my lap. No, you actually have to co create and you actually have to become the person and that takes time and that takes reps.
Yes. So yes, you flex the weight.
Jessica Zweig
Everyone's going to go buy your book. Talk to us about, you know, we've been unblocking, you know, talking about lots of self limiting beliefs around money and childhood trauma and getting into the flow states. But you titled the book Unblock your purpose. Why say more?
Francesca Sipma
I believe that's the ultimate goal. I believe that purpose will heal the mental health crisis. I think that when you know your purpose and you are able to use your gifts and your talents and your creativity and your skills and your experiences and the obstacles you've overcome and you can turn it outward and be of service to others, I think that's what it's all about. And I've never experienced a fulfillment like I do when I'm of service. There's days, you know, I'll have like really high revenue days and I'll get like really cool opportunities and they feel good but they're so temporary. But then when I'm like in front of a group of people and I can take them through hypno breath work and I see their breakthroughs and I see how free they feel and how much joy and they remember who they are. Nothing compares to that. Totally nothing compares to that.
Jessica Zweig
It is really our highest vibration when we are in service. It's like the like, there's that graph of like levels of consciousness, like love, peace, joy, enlightenment. I think like being of service is 100, the ultimate expression of our highest light.
Yeah.
So the book, what do you want women to or people? I mean I know men and women are going to read this. My audience is mainly, mainly women. What do you want them to take away from the book? I got asked this question all the time on my little box or two but it and it's a big question. But if you were to really boil it down, when they're done with the book, they've absorbed all the pages. What do you want them to know?
Francesca Sipma
I want them to feel empowered, to act on their intuition. I want them to understand that your intuition knows, your body knows you have the answers. I don't have them for you. Society doesn't. Your parents don't, you don't. But they have the answers within them. We are people who hold space for them to hear that.
Jessica Zweig
Right?
Yes.
Francesca Sipma
To kind of go inwards and start to connect those dots. But I structured the book so that the first part was about healing relationships that have gotten us out of alignment, that I've created so many tough masks and walls that we forgot who we are. And then part two is really about connecting your skills and your experiences and finding the passions that light you up. And then part three is now you are clear, now you are tuned in. And you have to take that intuitive action every single day, read every morning, get that clarity and go execute from there. And if you do that consistently, you will create your dream life. You will actually then manifest the things that you want. And if you're turning it outward and you're sharing your gifts and you're contributing to something greater than yourself, your life will have more color, more meaning, more joy, more peace, more freedom than anything else.
Jessica Zweig
Two thoughts. Spoken like a true thought leader right there and true expert. I'm so excited for you. This book is going to blow up your world and blow up the world. Nothing changes your life like a book. And it's such a gift and I'm so excited to watch what's about to unfold for you. The second reflection is that as you're talking, I really believe that we teach, we have come here to learn, and that we must forever remain the student. And just to reflect back to you, like what you said about me, which is so incredibly amazing in front of my audience, I want to reflect to you the same that you really, truly walk your walk and are so authentic and embodied in what you're teaching because you're learning it yourself in real time, practicing the practices, walking the walk. And I don't think that there's a better author like type of author and approach to any kind of material unless you're fully connected to it.
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
At the level that you are, it's.
Jessica Zweig
Just so much more infinitely impactful. And I, I know my audience got to see and feel that today. And I, I, I cannot wait for them to read your book.
Francesca Sipma
I appreciate that so much. And I think it's so ironic that you said that because I was thinking about it in my practice this morning. You know, I have a course that accompanies the book and the book was based off of my journey. I had to heal my relationship to my mom and my father and my inner child and money and relationships. And that's when I got clear and intuitive and connected. And so it's all structured off of that and I created a course with it and hypno breathwork sessions. And I was thinking to myself this morning how cool that I've done my own course.
Jessica Zweig
That's What I was saying multiple times. Yes.
Yeah.
Francesca Sipma
And when I created it, obviously, you know, I was doing the cues and when I made it. But then several points throughout becoming a coach and launching mastery and launching the next levels of my brand, I've had to go back in and go and do all 12 sessions again because I'm like, I'm. I'm losing sight of it or I'm getting into my ego right now, or, you know, these investors are in my head and I've had to do it again. So I really appreciate you acknowledging and recognizing that it does come from me believing in it and doing it.
Jessica Zweig
So clear. It's so, so clear. Okay, I have a few final quick fire questions to ask you, but before we get into them, because we end the interview, I want you to tell everybody where they can go buy the book. Are you hosting an event? You're doing a bunch of things to celebrate this moment and where people can dip into your work.
Francesca Sipma
So you can find me on Instagram at Francesca Sitma or my website, Francescasitma.com and I am doing a virtual launch party for the book that has a free hypno breathwork session on your purpose, and that's going to be on November 26th at 10:00am Pacific Time.
Jessica Zweig
Don't miss it. Go dip into all of the things Francesca, and buy the book. And we'll link to everything in the show notes. Okay, so some final quickfire questions. I call them quickfire. They're kind of not. Answer them however you want.
Francesca Sipma
Okay.
Jessica Zweig
Do you have a favorite spiritual teacher?
Francesca Sipma
Oh, David Data.
Jessica Zweig
Oh, nice. I thought you were gonna say Joe Dispenza.
Francesca Sipma
No, David Data.
David Data.
Jessica Zweig
He's dope.
Francesca Sipma
Sexy.
Jessica Zweig
Yeah, he is. Do you have a favorite book that has really, besides the power of. No.
Francesca Sipma
My favorite book is Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson.
Jessica Zweig
Why?
Francesca Sipma
I cried throughout that entire book, which is the most strange response ever to reading a book about Steve Jobs.
What was.
Jessica Zweig
Was brought up in you to cry about his story?
Francesca Sipma
I just felt everything. Like, I felt his intensity and. And his desire to create change and innovation, and I just. And then to be thrown out of your company when you're just intense because you want it so badly and you know it so well, and you have a disdain for mediocrity. It's just like I understood and felt everything and I just found it to be so powerful. And my favorite part of it was, you know, we know him for creating the iPhone, but he created a platform for apps, and apps allowed millions of entrepreneurs to come to life. You know. And that is Impact.
Jessica Zweig
No, he's a lightworker. Oh, he's, like, of another realm.
Francesca Sipma
Yeah. That's my favorite book.
Jessica Zweig
I gotta read it. Do you have a particular spiritual deity, goddess, angel, ancestor that you work with or. Our favorite.
Francesca Sipma
I have in Bali. One of the healers was connecting me to my spiritual guide. And so that is kind of just my own personal relationship that I will call into when I need guidance.
Jessica Zweig
Do you believe in aliens?
Francesca Sipma
I don't know.
Jessica Zweig
Fair. Totally fair. Final question. What does it mean to you, Francesca, to be a co creator of the new Earth?
Francesca Sipma
Oh, when you say it, it feels like a big responsibility. It feels like a privilege. It feels like an honor, but it does feel like a responsibility. And keeping us accountable to continue to do the work as we grow and as we evolve and as we reach new milestones, too. It's just a reminder that we have to keep walking our talk.
Jessica Zweig
Well, you have accepted your assignment here as a lightworker in that co creation, and I just love you so much. I'm so grateful and honored you came to Nashville to drop in with me in person. I'm so excited for you. I know it's coming in this new chapter of your career, your platform, your message, your mission, and it was just the greatest gift to share it with my audience today. So thank you again for being here.
Francesca Sipma
Thank you. Thank you for supporting me and giving me this platform to share my message to.
Jessica Zweig
I see you, girl. Saw you from the first moment we met.
Francesca Sipma
I know you did.
Jessica Zweig
Now the whole world gets to see you.
Francesca Sipma
Yeah, you're welcome.
Podcast Summary: The Spiritual Hustler – "How To Manifest Your Dream Life and Unblock Your Purpose Using the Power of Breathwork with Francesca Sipma"
Released on November 26, 2024, "The Spiritual Hustler" podcast, hosted by Jessica Zweig, delves deep into redefining the traditional concept of hustle for women in business. In this episode, Jessica welcomes Francesca Sipma, a pioneer in hypno breathwork, to explore the transformative power of breathwork in manifesting one's dream life and unblocking personal purpose.
Jessica Zweig sets the stage by reaffirming the podcast’s mission to redefine "hustle" through a feminine lens, emphasizing love, trust, and service over traditional masculine-driven notions of success.

She highlights the shift from a high-paced, ad-driven life in New York to a more introspective and spiritually aligned existence.
“It's been a push. It's been a season of hustle, spiritual hustle, no doubt, but a lot of action and that Yang energy.” — Francesca Sipma [07:55]
Francesca discusses her transition from a fast-paced advertising career in New York City to pursuing breathwork after experiencing burnout. Her search for deeper fulfillment led her to retreats in Bali, India, Peru, and Thailand, where she discovered the profound impact of breathwork on her personal and professional life.

“You're changing the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in your body. And what that does is it starts to shut down the prefrontal cortex.” — Francesca Sipma [20:58]
The discussion shifts to flow states—optimal states of consciousness where creativity and productivity flourish effortlessly. Francesca explains how her breathwork techniques can induce flow states within 20 minutes, facilitating profound personal insights and unlocking creative potentials.
“Flow state is extremely accessible and you can actually hack it in 20 minutes with breath.” — Francesca Sipma [23:21]
Francesca shares her personal journey of overcoming financial struggles through breathwork. By identifying and releasing limiting beliefs around money—such as resentment and scarcity—she was able to manifest significant financial growth and empower other women to recognize their worth and create abundance.

Francesca introduces her new book, "Unblock Your Purpose: Breathwork, Intuition, and Flow State," which outlines her methodology for healing and manifesting purpose through breathwork. She emphasizes the book’s structure, which guides readers through healing past relationships, connecting skills and passions, and taking intuitive action to create their dream lives.
“I want them to feel empowered, to act on their intuition. I want them to understand that your intuition knows, your body knows you have the answers.” — Francesca Sipma [36:57]
In the concluding segment, Jessica and Francesca exchange heartfelt reflections on personal growth and the importance of continuous learning. They also engage in a quick-fire round of questions, revealing Francesca's favorite spiritual teacher, book, and her perspective on co-creating a new Earth.
“What does it mean to you, Francesca, to be a co creator of the new Earth?” — Jessica Zweig [42:32]
“It feels like a big responsibility. It feels like a privilege. It feels like an honor, but it does feel like a responsibility.” — Francesca Sipma [42:42]
Francesca concludes by inviting listeners to her virtual book launch party and encouraging them to engage with her work through her website and Instagram.
