Welcome to the Spiritual Hustler podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Zweig, multi seven figure serial entrepreneur, best selling author and branding and business coach. And this is a show where we are redefining the word hustle. Reclaiming our true feminine nature of magnetism and putting down the self judgments and shame around loving to work and making a lot of money at it. On this show, you're going to learn how to stop hustling and start spiritually hustling by pressing play. You are now now part of a new movement of women who don't hustle for money. We hustle for meaning. We don't hustle from lack. We hustle for love. We don't hustle from survival. We hustle for humanity's thriving. We hustle toward healing the ancestral programming of fear and step into a new understanding of safety in the body to receive. This shift isn't going to only heal your life. It's going to make you a whole lot richer too. This is the Spiritual Hustler podcast. Well, hello my beautiful spiritual hustlers and welcome back to the podcast. I'm your host, Jess, and as always, I am so excited and grateful and honored to be with you in this space. I do not take your time for granted. I do not take your reviews for granted. I don't take your subscribing for granted. I don't take your shares on social media for granted. This is a really beautiful community. Yes, it's a podcast, but I feel my Spiritual Hustlers in the ether. I often meet you guys out in the world at events and conferences. So many of you are in my community inside of the Feminine Frequency Business School. It has really just become such a special place that I look forward to coming to every single week. And I'm honored that you join me here every single week. So if you are not new, welcome back. If you're new, welcome here. You are so welcome here, sister. I just want to give a little bit of context to today's conversation because I was thinking about it. When I go back to the birth of this podcast, the Spiritual Hustler, it really was an inflection point. This show was in many ways my response to the perpetually invasive, pervasive program called Hustle Culture, especially for women. And that we have been conditioned consciously and unconsciously to work ourselves to the bone in order to achieve and succeed and to survive. And I was asleep to that most of my life. And so much of our survival tendencies really get activated when it comes to money. Money is one of the Biggest, hottest, most in demand conversations and topics out there in the world. Hello. The birth of the patriarchy was basically derived from that one exact point. But really, when you look around the world of marketing and messaging, it's typically health, wealth and relationships. Those are the three biggest drivers. I think that our human psychology is like looking to optimize. Right. And that's just sort of a 101 on how to think about your brand and positioning. And I do think about that very often because I think there's a real deep reason for that. And I think money is one of the hottest topics. Yes, but I believe it's one of the sorest subjects because I don't really know too many women who have had an immaculate relationship with money their entire lives. I certainly didn't. I went broke at 33. I turned it around, started making millions of dollars, thought I was a rich bitch, all in abundance. But no, I was never really healed from scarcity and running and killing myself because I didn't feel safe enough to hold money and I didn't want to die. And my guest today is honestly one of the most important voices in the space on money. Not because she's going to teach you how to crunch a budget, although she'll teach you how to do that in a very cool kind of way. But she's going to help you align to how money can flow into your bank account, into your work, into your life, into your nervous system, theoretically, energetically and actually that creates a whole new state of sustainability and safety and scalability, like how we can actually step into wealth. What are the actual practices from a neuroscientific perspective that upgrades our entire relationship with money forever. And there is no better voice, in my humble opinion. And not only mine, but it's obvious. Kate Northrup has been featured in Oprah, the Today Show, Harvard Business Review, the New York Times, so many more for a reason. She's the best selling author of Money Love Story and her other bestselling book, Do Less and the host of the top ranking podcast. You might know Kate Northrup. She really is here to shift consciousness and she is working with the magic of this tool that we all have at our disposal and have an infinite supply of called Money. And she is going to talk today about how we rewire our sense of enoughness, how we really go through the process of how to create true financial freedom in your life. That is not just a cute tagline, but actually truly practice it. Created on a daily basis, we talk about her relationship with money and how she came to be Kate Northrup. And one of the most exciting things about Kate's medicine and what she creates in the world is happening in just a few weeks. She hosts a once annual three day experience called Good with Money. And it is a program that is really here to help you finally create a healthier, less stressful relationship with your money. She's completely upgraded this experience with brand new quantum tools and systems and science based quantum technology and actual practices so that you can really start to turn your income into consistency, to finally feel financial clarity and experience real ease in earning and spending. And Good with Money is taking place on April 9th. That's day one. April 14th is day two and April 16th is day three. I'm gonna leave a link in the show notes to register for that event. I am pretty confident that after you hear maybe even 5, 10, 15 minutes into this conversation, you're gonna be like, ooh, Jess said it's in the show notes. I'm gonna go click on that link and register for it. I will be attending Good with Money this year. I could soak Kate Northrop's genius up every single day of the year. She only does this once for three days, so do not miss it and do not miss a moment of this conversation. We go so deep today. This is actually Kate's second time back on the podcast and this conversation was just so vulnerable and honest and profoundly brilliant. And I know that you're going to walk away wanting to go deeper into Kate's work, so I'll leave that link Good with Money. And here without further ado is my amazing conversation with the formidable Kate Northrop.
B
Hi.
A
Welcome back.
B
Thanks for having me. This is such a joy.
A
Do you know that you're out now
B
that we're neighbors now?
A
We are such neighbors.
B
So great.
A
I would like to take some responsibility
B
for you moving to Nashville. I actually was driving up your very high road and I was thinking, you know what? Jessica is somewhat responsible for the fact that I live here. So I literally thought that thought.
A
Sorry. Not sorry.
B
A
We're also happy you're here, Kate Northrup, and the chance to be with you in person, it's like the best. And do you know that the last time you were on my show, I don't know if you know this, but it's one of the highest downloaded episodes I have.
B
Really?
A
Yes.
B
Okay, well, let's try to beat it.
A
Okay, let's go.
B
I'm not competitive with anyone other than myself. Same.
A
So we will beat this one and I'll Tell you why I think it was one. First of all, everyone loves you. You're just so beloved. And the light and the energy. But like what you're bringing to women when it comes to money is such a deeply desired hunger because we share like a very beautiful type of community are just longing for. And so I've been thinking about abundance a lot and would love to start with this concept of enough. Like, what does enough mean to you?
B
Enough is definitely an inside game. When we are operating in the live scarcity, no amount of external wealth, resources or opportunities will ever fill that hole. And the live scarcity, just to get data driven for a minute, let's go.
A
I love your data brain.
B
It is a lie. There are enough resources on the planet for everyone to live a really good life. So what's true is plenty. The lie is scarcity. And being rooted in the lie of scarcity creates greed and distorted versions of wealth and power that we see rampant everywhere. But being rooted in the truth of plenty actually creates overflow, generosity, collective healing, and the flow of abundance. So one of my mentors and now friends, Lynn Twist, who wrote the Soul of Money, talks about the concept of sufficiency. And sufficiency, again, is personal, right? So as opposed to abundance, okay, abundance is like more, and I love abundance. So this is not a competition between sufficiency and abundance. But sufficiency is the deep internal sense that you have enough and you are enough and just there is enough. And that is not anything that could ever be measured other than with a feeling.
A
Okay, you guys, here's the truth that most female entrepreneurs never hear. Your nervous system is running your entire business, your entire life, not your mindset. So you can have all the vision and all the strategy, but if your body is carrying chronic stress, inflammation or pain, everything is always going to feel harder than it needs to be. And this is where Microflow comes in. Now, this brand, I swear by Microflow, it has changed my entire life. It's founded by root cause health expert Christy Nalt. And Microflow creates the cleanest micro dosing supplement on the market. Okay. It's 100% organic, third party lab tested, Raiki infused and intentionally formulated for women. Now, each blend is designed to support brain, heart coherence, your nervous system regulation and neuroplasticity, which helps you at the end of the day shift out of survival and into sustainable growth. And here is what's actually happening. Microflow helps quiet the default mode network in your brain. It's the autopilot in your mind while activating Neurogenesis so that you can build new pathways wired for creativity, clarity and resilience. This is why thousands and thousands of people who've used Microflow has said that it is the one thing that has drastically, clearly, evidently changed their life. And now Microflow has introduced a brand new blend that I am also obsessed with called Rapid Relief, which is the next evolution of holistic pain support. Now, Rapid Relief works with your body, not against it. It supports your innate healing intelligence so that discomfort can finally resolve at the root without harsh downstream effects. Think of this as like your new one stop shop. Midol, Advil, Tylenol, but better because it's formulated with Microflow magic. Micro doses, regeneratively farmed CBD and ancient botanicals. I've used it every single week since I've got it. It helps calm inflammation, soften tension and restore the flow back into your body. Now, for female entrepreneurs navigating long days, nervous system overload or burnout recovery. You guys cannot not have Rapid Relief in your medicine cabinet. Start with the Exude and Surrender bundle and add Rapid Relief when your body needs extra support. And explore theta for deeper somatic and ceremonial work. If you are ready to increase your capacity by upgrading the technology of your nervous system, then you've got to get down with Microflow. Get the whole bundle, get the whole stack. It will be the most life changing tool you could possibly ever, ever work with. Visit microflow healing.com and use code JESSICA10 for $10 off of your order. That's microflow healing.com and use Code JESSICA10 for $10 OFF of your order. So let's talk about this. You said the words deep internal sense and I think that we go about creating abundance in our lives. And I love this sufficiency benchmark here with mindset and learning more about budgeting and trying to figure out ways we can make more money and grow our financial bank accounts. But your work really taps into a very different pathway in the body. And so can we talk about the somatics, the nervous system and what that has to do? Because it's the core of your work and I feel like the nervous system is like everywhere on Instagram today.
B
I've actually stopped talking about.
A
I get, I get why. I kind of have too.
B
Everyone's talking about the nervous system. It's watered down. It is still at the deep core of my work and I'll talk about it here, but like public facing, you know, on social, I've started using different words.
A
Good.
B
Because I don't think most people Talking about it the way they're talking about it is actually scientifically inaccurate.
A
Say more.
B
Well, people misunderstand. So a lot of people who just heard about the nervous system talk about the nervous system, and then they talk about healing your nervous system via mindset work or rest, which is lovely. I love rest.
A
Who doesn't love rest?
B
Rest is great. I could literally do like a three week workshop on why rest. Fundamentally, if your nervous system is jacked up, rest will actually feel like a threat. So. And we cannot think our way into a healed nervous system because the nervous system does energy and feeling. The nervous system doesn't do language, and we think that we can fix everything with our mind. And when we say our mind, we're talking about our cognition, we're talking about our prefrontal cortex, the part of our brain that is responsible for planning for me getting here on time for logistics. We love our prefrontal cortex. It's critical for life, and it is not our wisest self and it is not the place that we can heal from. So, number one, the nervous system is deeply, deeply misunderstood. And people who have been doing mindset work and, you know, working on their beliefs and all of that stuff, which is all super wonderful, have just added in the nervous system to their vocabulary when they actually don't understand anything about the way our brain and body are wired. Yeah.
A
You're doing an event in a couple weeks. I am called Good with Money.
B
Yes.
A
And. And it's a real, I think, profound look into the work that you do creating this cross section between the nervous system and money. No one else is doing what you're doing. And I'm just gonna say that, like, with so much love and, like, awe, what can people expect at that event? And is there, like, some codes on the nervous system that you drop? Can we give, like, a bit of a teaser?
B
Well, I'm really excited that I have. I don't even wanna say created. I received. I say the real things on your podcast. I downloaded and received a way of relating to money that is brand new that I've never spoken about before.
A
This is at this year's Good with Money. Wow.
B
And I'm calling it the Hidden Money Ecosystem. So it has two elements. One element is the energetics. And the energetics covers your emotional relationship with money. Your nervous system patterns how you feel about money, how you relate to money. It's the part that is completely invisible. No one can see it, including you, but you can feel it. So that's the energetics. And then the other Half of your hidden money ecosystem is the engineering. And no one else will ever see that either. But you see it. It's what are you doing in the middle of the night when you're moving money between accounts? How are you pulling out your credit card? And when and why? The why is more of the energetics part. But what's the conversation like with your CPA or your partner or whatever? So the engineering is what are the structures and systems that are actually holding your money and holding you or the lack thereof. And what I find is there are four different states that your hidden money ecosystem can be in, depending on how healthy the energetics and the engineering are. And those different states create a different expression of your actual financial life. So the thing is, most people, like you listed all these things that people do to change their financial life. Yeah. The main one for our people is they lean into making more money.
A
Right.
B
Which is wonderful. Yes, let's make more money. Especially as conscious female entrepreneurs. Because what we know is that when more money is in the hands of women, the entire world gets better. Everybody's lives get better.
A
I want to talk about that. Why do you say that?
B
Because the data is completely clear.
A
Okay.
B
You, it's inarguable. Number one, when women have resources, they invest in the health of their communities. When women have resources, they give them at unprecedented rates compared to men. And this is not bashing men at all because I think this data is probably true of conscious heart centered humans.
A
Yes.
B
We just don't have those stats. So women get better returns when they invest. They're investing at lower rates than men, but ever increasing. So that's really good news. But when they do it, they get better returns for every dollar invested in women. In venture capital, which is vastly underfunded compared to male founders, you get a much higher return for the VC when you invest in a female founder. And I could give you 35.
A
I would love to hear them. I just want to.
B
And I'll tell them all in good with money.
A
Everyone needs to go to that event. That's amazing. I just really want to crystallize what you just said because it's the heart of the show and it's a slogan that I say all the time, that when women have money, women have power. Because those two things are conjoined in this 3D reality. Yes. That's not bad. That's not good. That just is like money and power go together. And that's what in many ways has created patriarchal system. And again, patriarchy isn't men As a gender, it's a system. I just want to clarify that. But when women have both, this world becomes a better place. And I say that from my heart is like the Pleiadian that I am. And I love the data that you just broke down and created, like verification that this is proven.
B
It is proven. Yeah. So if anyone listening has any hang ups of like sort of some sort of low grade or high grade moral superiority around under earning or feeling like, oh, it's not okay if I have more because therefore someone else will have less. Number one, it just doesn't work that way. If you deprive yourself that money doesn't automatically end up in somebody else's bank account, who needs it more.
A
Right.
B
Like, that's not how it works. So just. That's a lie. Number two, actually, it is our moral imperative as women to get our hands on as many resources as we can because we naturally bless the world when that happens. However.
A
Yeah.
B
Just putting more money in your bank account will not improve your relationship with money. In fact, money is a fertilizer. Money is an amplifier. It will make louder whatever patterns or imbalances are present in your hidden money ecosystem. So my approach is really different, which is we tend to the secret garden, if you will, which is that hidden money ecosystem, the part that is invisible that you can only feel, and that's really between you and God and you and money. And then the part that's invisible to everyone else, which is, what are you actually doing behind the scenes with your money? And when we deal with the invisible, with the hidden, what ends up happening is we become massively magnetic to more resources. And when those resources inevitably show up, because now they have a safe container, we can actually feel them land. We actually do have an increased level of resourcefulness, stability, a sense of freedom, because we've installed the receptor sites to feel safe and secure and free now, so that when the money shows up, that's amplified as opposed to amplifying a core root sense of lack or anxiety or fear.
A
Beautiful. So a question I have for you is, I think, you know, we talk a lot about getting good with money, bringing it in, feeling worthy, dissolving scarcity, all of that. But then there's the other side to that coin, which is like women who are growing in wealth.
B
Yeah.
A
And can't hold it and don't feel like they have an upper limit, like more money is going to equal more problems, if you will. That is who we're talking to. Like women that are on the path, who are ambitious, who are creating their own lanes, creating their own wealth. But there's a upper limit.
B
Yeah, it's a sense of like if I go bigger, I won't be able to handle it.
A
Right.
B
Because I am the sole infrastructure of my financial life. If you're depending on your brain to hold it all and your capacity to hold it all, you will fall apart.
A
So I've been there and agreed retweet. So if you were to give one tactical. I say it all the time, I say it all the time. I might say it a few more times on this episode. So if you were to give. I want them all to come to your event. But if you were to give the woman listening right now one tactical piece of advice to increase her capacity to receive, to hold, to expand, what would that be?
B
So, number one, I'm actually going to tweak the language because I actually think that one of the problems that we have is that we are trying to learn how to hold more wealth. We don't need to hold anything else. We are already holding plenty. So we actually need to learn to build the energetic integrity and the engineered integrity in our hidden money ecosystem so that it can hold us. Wow.
A
Full body chills, by the way.
B
Yeah. So I don't, I'm arguing with Claude all the time. I'm like, stop, stop saying hold money. Stop saying hold wealth. We talk about being held by our systems so that we don't have to hold it all together anymore.
A
Just hearing you say that, my whole body just relaxed.
B
It's different, right?
A
It's really, really different.
B
Yeah.
A
So this all sounds great in not theory, but I know you have all of the science and tools and practice, but is there something that someone could examine today or absolutely look in the mirror and do today, Whatever that tactic would be 100%.
B
So the state in which we are relating to money, essentially the environment, is the state of our hidden money ecosystem. And then the actual things we're doing within that state also matter. So I would just take a look at from a bird's eye view, as non judgmental as you can possibly find yourself being. Look at. Pretend you've just gone up the elevator and you're looking from a bird's eye view at your money ecosystem. It includes you, your income sources, anyone else you interact with. If you run a business, it's your team. If you have a partner, it's, you know, that the kids, the real estate that whatever like the whole thing and just mere people will like this begin to sense into if you're looking at it. Or you could go within and close your eyes and put it on your internal screen. Where do you sense that there are leaks? Where do you sense that there are blocks? Where do you sense that there are pieces in that web that are broken or dangling? And you'll know. Your inner wisdom will be able to tell you. Now, in the workshop, there are nine specific money leaks that I'm gonna go through and walk people through. One of the most common ones is a lack of architecture. When we are in a state of overdrive, we have a low sense of energetic safety. So it's like, there's not gonna be enough in a week, I'm gonna end up on the street. I have to, you know, like the living in a box deep fear that is so common for women and actually men as well, often. So it's that, like, racing feeling of if I just keep running fast enough, I'll be safe. And then when that's coupled with a lack of structure, meaning what I mean by financial structure is you have pre decided when. Where the money is going before it even comes in. So you're being responsive and proactive and serving your present self, but also in deep relationship with your future self around money. So it's not one or the other. And I mean, there's a lot more to it, but that's like the overarching. Right. So it's being responsive as opposed to reactive. When you have low safety and low engineering, you're in a sense of overdrive. And that is the symptom of no architecture is a huge money leak because you're using yourself as the sole infrastructure. You're using efforting as the only tool in your toolbox. And you are having tremendous performance pressure, which you're probably addicted to and wouldn't know who you are without it.
A
Yeah. Wow. Okay. So this just inspired a different question. So many women that I work with, and I know that you work with really struggle in investing in themselves at a higher level. Like, they. They see a coach or they see a container, or they see some sort of opportunity to invest in themselves. I don't care what it is. It's not like buying a trip or a beautiful.
B
Right. It's like for their own growth.
A
For their own growth. And it's a stretch, it's a leap.
B
Yeah.
A
And there's that inflection point that they reach. And I've been that girl too, where. Where it's like, holy shit, I'm about to spend more money on myself than I've ever spent. And I am super scared and I can truthfully afford it, but I fear that I truly cannot. And it's that point where I see so many women negotiate against themselves and don't fully take that leap because it's rooted not in possibility, but in their scarcity. And that scarcity is a story. So if we were to meet that woman in that moment, and the architecture is such a beautiful frame, but in the moment, if she's really deciding to activate and expand and maybe her brain, she's not seeing it as such. It's just like a scary leap in investment. And I'm blind. Faith and trusting.
B
Yeah.
A
Or I'm going to wait till next year. Like, what would you say to her?
B
That's a really good question. First of all, generally speaking, when we wait until next year, we are in the same place that we were before. Nothing changes without some sort of investment. And that doesn't always mean financial. Sometimes it's an investment in our own education. But most people won't get anything done and won't take something seriously without money on the line or without some sort of meaningful collateral from their life. There has to be a little bit of risk in order to light a fire under our tushes. Because especially with AI, every single piece of information we want to know is available for free. So if information that's available for free was going to get us the change it would have by now. What's different is the actual investment. And my friend James Wedmore says the transformation comes through the transaction. Now how do we make that smart transaction? Right. How do we make a smart investment? And I don't believe in just like some people say, you know, make the leap, you know, take the leap and it'll all work out. I mean 99 of the time that actually is true.
A
Yeah, I agree.
B
However, I love people making grounded decisions that they feel super smart about and, and like responsible. And you know, number one is we need to get our bodies feeling safe in order to make good decisions. When we're dysregulated, when we are in a sympathetic nervous system response, we go into fight, flight, bond, flop, all the F responses. That is a time when the blood and the oxygen that our brain needs to function optimally is now going to our external limbs.
A
Wow.
B
So that we can fight or run. And so but we sit at our desks instead and try to like think things through. So I use a three part framework, a three step system, which is number one, we have to stop if you're having spinning thoughts, if you're ruminating if you've been deliberating for hours or days or weeks, you for sure are disregulated around this decision.
A
I've seen it. Yeah.
B
So just know. Oh, if I'm thinking a lot, especially if my thoughts are looping and repetitive, I am dysregulated. So we stop, and then we signal safety. So our bodies are animals. We are animals. So we have to use our biology instead of trying to fight our biology. Our biology is this incredible technology that is literally divinely given to us to experience heaven on Earth. But most women are fighting with their bodies because we have been indoctrinated for centuries that our bodies are wrong or shameful or dirty or. I mean, that's like a whole other thing.
A
We can go down. Totally. Totally.
B
Anywho, so you signal safety. I teach so many different tools, and, you know, there's different things to do at certain times, given. Whatever. But for ease today.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
You can signal safety by simply beginning to feel gravity. So any. You know, you're listening right now. Notice the chair you're sitting in. If you're driving your car, notice what the car seat feels like supporting your back, supporting your tush. What are your feet on right now? Just notice gravity is holding you right now.
A
You told me when we did brilliance together because I was so anxious.
B
Yeah, we did havening.
A
We did havening.
B
That's a nice one, too. So havening is when you just slowly run your hands over each other. This is a nice one. Like on a zoom call.
A
Okay.
B
Because people won't necessarily see you doing it.
A
Yeah, I already feel it.
B
Yeah, you can feel it. Right? Like. And for those only listening to the audio, you probably heard the tone of my voice change, and I slowed down.
A
Yes.
B
Because when we signal safety to our body, our tone lowers, our words slow down, and we're actually dropped in. I, like, can't talk fast anymore when I'm doing it.
A
Right. And it's so kind of puts you
B
in this beautiful trance of completely.
A
I just felt my whole body shift.
B
So we stop. Then we signal safety. And both Jessica and I, right now, having done the checking in with gravity, and then a little bit of havening where we're running our hands over our hands and making maybe also a little bit up our forearms and upper arms. We just changed our brain chemistry. We just changed our wiring. And what we said to our body is, hey, there's no threat right now. You can metabolize that stress. You can dump that stress and threat bucket right out, and it is completely fine for you. To devote calories to thinking creatively and thinking in possibilities and thinking in new horizons and tapping into your vision and seeing how it could be possible that you could have this thing you want to invest in. So then you solve after you feel safe.
A
I'm so glad I asked that question. That's amazing. I feel like I want to clip that and put that in a mini meditation for all women listening anytime they're up against that moment of fear and leaping.
B
I just love that Kate and I really want to highlight and I think it's clear, but I'll just put a pin. It is not through thought that we access our brilliance, our intuition, our power. It is through feeling.
A
Say more about that.
B
Our brains are wonderful and our prefrontal cortex again, is helpful, but it is not the best place for us to do our expansive work. Our expansive work comes from all more of our fullness. I'll just say, and we are not our smartest self when we're dysregulated. Yeah, we just aren't.
A
Of course we're not.
B
But you get all this access to your brilliance when you feel safe. Literally, parts of your brain come back online. The flow of oxygen and oxygenation to your brain increases, and you just are way smarter. And you even remember things that you like, had completely had amnesia about five seconds ago, including perhaps a check that you haven't cashed or an invoice that you haven't sent or like that account that you've been setting aside explicitly for education and, you know, and business development.
A
What do you. Kate, I don't think I've ever asked you this before. What is your daily practice? I receive you as someone who is regulated like 99.9 of the time. Like, you're such a joy, you're such a light. You're so present. You're so in your body. You have this like beautiful way of speaking about your financial expansion that just feels so rooted is there. And you. But you also are a mom. Like, you live a big life. You know, you travel all the time. You know, it's not like you're immune from everything that we're all up against. But what does your. Do you have morning practice? Do you have daily check ins with yourself? Do you do something at night? Like, I would love to know the Kate Northrup under the hood. Like the woman behind this. What is she doing?
B
That's a fun question. So it's way simpler than anyone could ever possibly imagine. Here's the thing with nervous system health. It compounds. And so the beautiful thing Is just like investing. When you make a deposit in your nervous system health, today's ceiling becomes tomorrow's floor. So you're starting with an increased level of well being than you did yesterday. It's not like brushing your teeth where you just have to do it twice a day, possibly three times if you've had, you know, midday coffee for the rest of your life. Nervous system healing compounds. And so I've done emdr. I've done deep intensive work. I've done guided psychedelic therapy. I've done so much like kind of hero dose. Yes, Profound repatterning. And then on a daily basis, I wake up in the morning, I go outside barefoot, as long as it's not like super, super cold. And I get my feet in the grass and I look at the morning light and I say some prayers, usually just of gratitude. And I do some gentle stretching, a little movement. That whole shebang probably takes less than three minutes because I do need to make my kids breakfast and get them lunches and take them to school. I suppose I could have time for some big morning practice, but I don't want to get up that early because the other thing that is huge for me is sleep is my absolute non negotiable. If we are tired, we will not be able to be regulated because our bodies are for sure in a stress response at that time. So sleep no matter what. My friends know. Like if they're like, oh, we're going to dinner at 8, I'm like, no thanks. Except for a few times a year when it's really special. Exactly. So sleep, morning light getting great. Like grounding barefoot on the grass, humming. I do a lot of humming. I do a lot of hugging my husband, snuggling with my kids. Really physical things that create a sense of groundedness, safety. I really connect a lot with trees and plants. I talk to them. I resource my body from this beautiful tree with pink flowers outside my office and my green hill in the backyard. And when I say resource my body, I literally look at the plant and I feel it's vibration or energy and I open myself up to receiving it.
A
Wait, I love all of this so much. But do you remember I just had a flashback to our episode last year where I asked you in my quick fires, which I'm getting to in a few minutes, what is your goddess that you orient to? And you said it was the place
B
in Miami which now lives on my girlfriend's patio. She has my bogan villas at a friend's house because I don't live in Miami anymore. But now I have, like, a freaking forest and a whole yard.
A
Yeah.
B
So I'm not only communing with just the one.
A
I fully understand. I have deep relationships with my plants.
B
Yeah. I really do. I even will, like, really get down in a squat in the morning and connect with the clover again. Love talking to them. Just to be clear, though, that would be great. I'm just. It's more like telepathic.
A
I. Girl, say less.
B
You're.
A
You're speaking in front of a very warm crowd. On that front, I. Yeah. I get very emotionally attached to my plan, and I think a very healthy way. I love that, Kate. I love how simple it is. And what you said about the nervous system compounding is so inspiring, because I had a moment the other day. I was like, I don't think I'm resilient in my nervous system as much as I want to be. And I'm working on doing EMDR right now. Like, everything you just say, I know.
B
I'm super excited. And then when you do those larger things, like the emdr, like the whatever, every time you put in a deposit, it's just raising that floor. And it just. It doesn't take much to keep it topped up after that, I find.
A
Yeah. I want to ask you a question. This just came to me around your journey because I met you in Palm Springs. Remember summit. Yes.
B
2022.
A
I had the biggest girl crush on you because I had read Money A Love Story, and you made a comment, you, Me, when we last saw each other. At one point, you're like, yeah, I wrote that book when I was so young. And that was just like, pre. Like, that was baby Kate. But you've been talking about money for so long.
B
Yeah.
A
And I love listening to you because you bring such beautiful science and, like, all the data, and there's just such mastery in your message. But you've been on a journey, I can assume, to arrive here. But money was always a central driver for you. And if you were to go back to that young version of Kate, what would you say to her now?
B
So many things. One of them would be, like, take 10% of everything you earn and invest it. Which, you know, my mother did tell me that I just didn't stay with my dad. Listen to her. I would say what I say now to women, which is that, yes, being a vibrational match matters. Yes. Acting as if. Yes. You know, the law of attraction stuff. I love all of that stuff. I practice it. And there is a wonderful African proverb which is, as you Pray, move your feet. And the piece that I was missing was not the energetic safety. I always have trusted money. I have always been like, yeah, there's absolutely more where that came from. Because there is. But I was in. My hidden money ecosystem was in a state that I call diffusion. So high energetic safety, super on board with like, there's more where that came from. There's plenty of low engineering. So it was very spiritually bypassy, where it was like, oh, if I just stay aligned and if I just keep making money, somehow some way that's gonna turn into wealth, which it will not if you don't actually do something and learn and it is not hard. So that's the other piece. It's very purposeful that the financial world has all this jargon and these terms that make it sound boring, honestly. And like, such a snooze fest.
A
Totally.
B
And I want to say to anyone listening, no one was born being good with money. And if you can do fourth grade math, which I barely can, I have a fourth grader, I cannot help her with her math, just to be clear. So if you can do like super basic math, you can be great with money. It is not complicated. And I have so many friends who don't have a traditional financial background, who have created extraordinary lives where now they are work optional because they've been so smart with their money, with their investing, with turning their income into actual wealth. So I would go back and hold my sweet little hand and sit down quarterly to be setting up a wealth building architecture with her, which of course I've done now and it's fine. But it would have happened sooner if I had done it earlier. And that's also perfect.
A
I love that answer. I love her. I love you. You have so many codes. And it's like, I'm so excited for this event that you're doing.
B
It's three days, three days, over a week and a half, though not three days in a row.
A
And you break it up because you really want the people who come to implement and practice. It's a journey. Right? It's totally.
B
Yeah.
A
And you take them on a full experience. So what can they expect when they come in on day one and who they be on day three.
B
So first of all, on day one, we are going to diagnose what state your hidden money ecosystem is in. And then during the course of the workshop, we're going to really have identified, oh, where are the bottlenecks for you? Where are the leaks? How is this expressing? And where are the places that you can start to get the biggest return on the investment of your precious time. Because we, you and I both know our time is our most valuable asset, not our money. You can always make more money. You cannot make more time retweet. So I'm gonna make it absolutely worth everyone's time at the end of the workshop. Every year we get hundreds of emails begging us to purchase the replays of the workshop when it expires. I don't doubt that every year we say no. So I'm just going to say come live or listen to the replays. But listen because it will change your life. And the other cool thing that we're doing this year, that's new. I mean, there's going to be so many new things because I can't help myself. But one of the things I'm super psyched about is we've created a custom tool that will give you a fully personalized 90 day relaxed money roadmap based on your inputs and into my framework. So you'll really know. Oh, this is what you need to focus on.
A
This is part of Good with Money this year.
B
Second, third. It's part of Good with Money this year. So it's not like a fill in the blank PDF. Like, this is a tool that you will be able to use to walk away with a 90 day roadmap for you to upgrade your financial life in the specific ways that make sense for you.
A
That's incredible.
B
I'm pretty excited about it.
A
Hey, congrats, babe. This is going to be epic. Everyone needs to go sign up. We're going to leave a link in the show notes. I have just a few final quick fire questions for you. I asked you these last time, but maybe they've switched. I'm sure they've.
B
They probably have.
A
Do you have a favorite business book that you always turn to?
B
A favorite business book that I always turn to? Well, it is definitely not an explicitly business book, but I really love the book Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Walsh.
A
I love this.
B
Yeah. Did I say that same thing last year? I don't know.
A
No, you didn't. You came over a couple months ago
B
and we talked about it.
A
I was on my nightstand. That book changed. Yeah.
B
That book changed my life and. And it changed the way we do business. Even though it's about plants.
A
Full circle. This is a through line in this conversation. Yeah. A spiritual book. You could say that book is a spiritual book, too.
B
One of the books that changed my life the most really was the Soul of Money by Lynn Twist, which I really only read a couple years ago and what was so profound about it for me is that it validated so much of what I have known since my early 20s, because there's so many of the messages in that book that I actually wrote in Money A Love Story. And it just gave me such a feeling of validation. And so I love Lynn's Soul of Money.
A
Can I also just sidebar say your books are incredible too?
B
Thank you.
A
Do lesson Money Love Story. That's how I got tuned into your work, was your first book and I know you're working on another.
B
I'm working on another one.
A
Can you say anything about it?
B
It's about money, power and the body.
A
And do you have a timeline of when it might come out?
B
I don't. This book is having a life of its own and it is having its way with me and I am surrendered to the experience. But I'm hoping early 2027.
A
Woo. Okay. Yeah, let's go. I'm so excited to read that one. Besides your tree with pink flowers, do you have a goddess, a deity, an angel, an archetype that you personally love to work with, maybe even around money or just for Kate?
B
I have been really connecting ever since my trip to Egypt with Hathor and I had a very profound experience at the temple and at Dendara. It was really profound about sexual energy and feminine energy and receiving and power and life force and abundance. And I feel like that experience changed me. So.
A
She's my girl. Yeah. Hathor. I mean, you read my book, the Light Work.
B
Yes.
A
That was. It's the whole reason I'm here.
B
Yeah.
A
That moment in Dendera. So that's the third time you're going to come on the show.
B
Okay, we'll do it. Egypt Download.
A
So you clearly believe in aliens.
B
Yeah.
A
The question is, do you believe in aliens?
B
Yes or no? Yeah. How could we possibly live in an infinite universe and not have other life? That just doesn't make scientific sense.
A
That's my whole point. I just, I remember when you read my book, the Light Work, you were like, what did you say?
B
I was like that so much to me, really out there. And that was very bold and unapologetic and brave. I was amazed that you wrote that book. I loved your book. I read every word of it and I was just like, damn, she's just being all of who she is, the wacky ass alien lady. And I just believe in everything. But I have been more measured about where I say it. And so I was inspired.
A
You told me that. And it meant so much to me and you endorsed my book. And it's on the back of the book because I love what you had said. So sidebar, back to this last question. What does it mean to you, Kate, to be a co creator of the New Earth Rising right now?
B
A co creator of the New Earth Rising right now. For me, it's really about opening wider through first feeling safe in my body to then really be a conduit of what wants to come through me. My dad was visiting recently and we were talking about real estate because we're in the process of buying a house was the last morning. And he was like, well, you know, you've really got some big decisions to make. And I was like, you know what, dad? The way I relate to it is not actually me making decisions. What happens for me is I feel guided and the decision is obvious. So I'm responding to directions as opposed to like feeling like it's my ego, small self needing to do the right thing. So I think if we can feel safe enough to open wide enough, all the instructions are already there and all we need to do is follow them.
A
Kate Northrop the planet's better because you're on it. I mean, I love the work you're doing. It's leaving a massive impact and a legacy. I'm so here for women rising into their power. It's so fun to co create with you and I'm so excited for your event. I want everyone to register and sign up. I will be joining. I love listening to you. I love learning from you. You are really, it's all new. I clearly, I'm so pumped for you and for all of us. So thank you for being here today.
B
Thank you, Jessica.
A
Love you so much.
B
Love you.
