Caitlin
Every single person thought I was pregnant. This is a first.
Taylor
Oh boy.
Caitlin
I finally went to the gynecologist. We're in the clear.
Taylor
You got a lot of eggs.
Caitlin
I got a lot of eggs.
Taylor
Does that mean we're getting to work?
Caitlin
That got me nervous. That made me sweaty. We have a new date night. Technically do it every night, but I think a lot of people but we did together.
Taylor
And it we watched the Harry Potter franchise, we sat down and each night we watched a different movie.
Caitlin
Wicked. After we finished the Harry Potter franchise, we were trying to find another franchise. So we landed on the Twilight series.
Taylor
Heard of it once or twice. It's been tough for me to watch them. You just tend to critique yourself and just, you know, just be hard on yourself.
Caitlin
I was a little nervous to watch it, but. But I'm happy to report I loved it just as much.
Taylor
You still have the same opinion about what team you're on? Or did that like change at all or still the same.
Caitlin
Hello Lemon Drops. Happy Wednesday.
Taylor
Happy Wednesday. This is I Just yelled, sorry.
Caitlin
This is. This is a first in quite some time.
Taylor
In quite some time.
Caitlin
Yeah. It's not a first in quite in.
Taylor
Yeah, it is a first.
Caitlin
The first of the year.
Taylor
It is definitely the first of the year. And it's the first in way too long, that's for sure.
Caitlin
Since July.
Taylor
That's crazy. We were just talking about this before we started and that it's unacceptable.
Caitlin
Yeah. I don't know how we let ourselves do that.
Taylor
What?
Caitlin
We just had so many amazing guests that we had to highlight and share. I. Yeah, sure, I guess so.
Taylor
But I think we need to put, you know, more of an effort into doing these, you know, every so often.
Caitlin
Well, I had posted on my story, which you guys debunked my imposter syndrome, because, I don't know, I was just like, why would people, like, want to listen to me talk? Like, just me, not you. Just me, or. Yeah, like, I would feel like people would want a guest more than, like, me just blabbing. Okay. And according to my Instagram story and you guys voting, I was apparently wrong.
Taylor
So what was that percentage like?
Caitlin
It was. I was, like, 70, 30, if not more.
Taylor
I mean, honestly, who is voting when you put that on your Instagram story? Who's. Who's taking the time to go, no, people wouldn't like to listen.
Caitlin
People did. People did, Apparently. I mean, I guess I haven't listened. That is concerning. I didn't think about that.
Taylor
I mean, if 30 said no, I.
Caitlin
I do feel like it was more 80, 20, but I have to go back and look, I don't have my phone.
Taylor
Okay, well, they should really apologize to anybody listening or watching right now that voted no to that.
Caitlin
Yeah. Sorry.
Taylor
You're stuck with us.
Caitlin
Yes.
Taylor
Have fun.
Caitlin
Yes, you're stuck. Have fun. Little reminder, there are so many of you guys that are new. Please follow or subscribe however you are listening or watching us right now. If you're watching us, you will see that we have a special guest in here that does not often join us, and we get a lot of questions asking where she is. We have Lillian sitting in the chair asleep next to Bo.
Taylor
Yeah. That's an honor.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
You guys are very lucky.
Caitlin
Yeah. You guys really have pinned us that we're. We don't love Lily or that she's just always not there, and Remy is the. Is the star, and that's because Remy loves attention, and Remy just follows us everywhere. And Lily honestly could, like, care less. So.
Taylor
Yeah, Remy is attached to our hip 24 7. Can't let us go anywhere without her. Lily is like, honestly, leave me alone.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
I want to be in the corner bedroom sleeping.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Don't mess with me.
Caitlin
Yeah. But she's here because she missed you guys. Should we start with a citrus Scott reel?
Taylor
Probably should.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Wow.
Caitlin
Yeah. Do. Do you want to pull one and then maybe I'll do one, too?
Taylor
Okay. Well, here we go. Citrus got real. Can you give me a drum roll, please? Thank you. All right. If your personality were a US State, which state would you be? Oh, boy. I almost just embarrassed myself. I almost literally went Miami. That's not a state. Taylor. Huh? If your personality were a US State, you know what yours would be? Love that I'm answering this for you.
Caitlin
I feel like I'm about to be offended.
Taylor
No, you'll be okay with it.
Caitlin
What?
Taylor
It probably would be, like, Minnesota because you're cold all the time. Not cold hearted. Just. I want to clarify that I was.
Caitlin
Literally like, excuse me, you're cold. I am cold all the time. My. Yeah, my hands right now are cold right now.
Taylor
You're cold.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
So I'm like, isn't Minnesota the coldest state? Like, what's the coldest state?
Caitlin
I don't. I don't know how I feel about that one.
Taylor
Okay.
Caitlin
I understand. On an external.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
And external.
Taylor
Internally. Man, you are hot.
Caitlin
I'm. I'm.
Taylor
You are. Yeah. You are the summer.
Caitlin
Texas summer. Nevada. Desert hot. Yeah. I don't. I don't really know. I don't. My first instinct was to go, like, Wisconsin or somewhere.
Taylor
What. What would the. I would go Wisconsin Because I love cheese.
Caitlin
Oh, I do, too. Dairy goat cheese.
Taylor
Huh.
Caitlin
I love regular cheese. Oh, I know one.
Taylor
What?
Caitlin
Maine.
Taylor
Why?
Caitlin
Because I'm the main character.
Taylor
Oh, okay.
Caitlin
Not really. Okay, that's more you.
Taylor
Interesting.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
I'll go Michigan.
Caitlin
Okay, that. You know, since I'm not really that. California. What's a state that, like, is a helper.
Taylor
A state that is a help.
Caitlin
Because I'm like a two on the Enneagram.
Taylor
Huh. I mean, Idaho makes great potatoes for us all to enjoy.
Caitlin
I love a good potato. Okay. I love. I'd like Idaho.
Taylor
Okay.
Caitlin
I'll be Idaho.
Taylor
Love it.
Caitlin
Love it. Okay, let me pull one.
Taylor
Here's your drum roll.
Caitlin
This one's really small. Our sauces. This is why it took me a second to read it. Our sauces. Seasoning for food. If you dip your.
Taylor
No, that's not a seasoning. No, sauces are sauces, and they add flavor.
Caitlin
Sauces are sauces, and seasonings are seasonings.
Taylor
But sauces are not seasoning.
Caitlin
Yeah, I would. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like a seasoning is like a before thing, and then like a sauce is like an app, like once. Once the meal is done. Yeah.
Taylor
I mean, you can add seasoning after. Like, you know, if you're plating something, you can put, you know, I mean, salt is a seasoning. Right. So you can put salt and pepper on afterwards, but yeah, the sauce is not a seasoning.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
I would say those are two very different things.
Caitlin
Okay.
Taylor
Two great things.
Caitlin
Fair enough. I love sauce.
Taylor
You love sauce. I love seasoning.
Caitlin
Oh, look at us, the perfect pair.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Okay. Should we dive into this episode?
Taylor
Yeah, let's dive into the episode. I think before we jump into Fun Life updates and everything.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
We should address the fires that our area experienced a couple weeks ago. Just absolutely devastating. We didn't talk too much about our status, our personal status of it online. Thankfully, we were safe. There was a couple. I mean, it's. It's concerning. Like, it. It was scary.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
It's scary no matter what, when anywhere near you is experiencing something like that.
Caitlin
Especially because they were just. They just kept popping up.
Taylor
Yeah. All over because of the extreme winds. It's like an ember can take off and, you know, start a new fire. And it just was so unpredictable. And it felt like there for the first, you know, three, four, five nights, there were multiple new fires being started every day.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
So it. It was scary. And I mean, honestly, this is. No complaints from us. We are so blessed in this situation. But for us, the biggest thing is our power was shut off for a while, and we kind of had to. I don't want to say evacuate, but we. We were forced to leave and. And find a place to stay that had power because we don't have cell phone service where we live. So we just were, like, off the grid.
Caitlin
Yeah. Which was scary because with all the fires popping up, we needed to, you know, get updates, know if there was something that we were in danger in.
Taylor
Yeah. But we. No, we. We were lucky. Most of our close friends and family were good, but we do certainly know a lot of people that did lose their homes. And it seems like we're still finding out more and more people that were affected seriously by it by the day, so it's just absolutely devastating. Sending our thoughts and prayers and condolences to anybody affected by the fires. This month's proceeds to the Lemons foundation will go directly to.
Caitlin
Yeah. 100% of everything donated this month is being donated to fire relief because it's just. It's just so heartbreaking. I've lived here my whole life, and I've never seen anything ever happen like this before.
Taylor
Yeah, definitely not.
Caitlin
Yeah. But with that being said, I think we should transition into some life updates.
Taylor
Okay.
Caitlin
Since it's been a minute since we've been on here, and I keep, like, a little notes section in my phone, and I just, like, as life goes on, I always, like, write little things. If we hear something, if we go through something, I'm always like, oh, I want to talk about this, because I feel like the lemon drops would just absolutely love to hear it.
Taylor
Before we get into that, I feel like you should address. Why are your nails that color? Because, man, are they blinding.
Caitlin
Guys, I never paint my nails like a color, and they're like, really a color. I mean, well, I did it for the Lions.
Taylor
Yes.
Caitlin
And hopefully by the time this episode comes out, they've won two. We hopefully by the time we're going.
Taylor
To the Super Bowl. Yeah. If not, then this is a very sad moment right now.
Caitlin
And hopefully when you're watching this, I'm still sitting here with blue nails because we're going to the Super Bowl.
Taylor
Super Bowl. Let's go.
Caitlin
If not, I'll probably devastate it, but sorry if I'm blinding anyone that's watching this. Yeah. I never get. I never get color on my nails. And I don't know how I feel about it, but I'm doing the Honolulu Blue. Hers up. Okay. So one of my goals for last year, which I actually think I'm going to do again this year, because I feel like I felt very accomplished after doing it, and it's something that's easy. One of my personal goals was to complete a 30 day challenge. Like, whatever that was, if that was, you know, going on a walk every day, taking my vitamins, journaling, whatever that looked like.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
For me, I decided to not drink for 30 days. And I feel like I did that at a time when life was, like, really stressful and I felt like. Felt like I would have been like, I need a glass of wine or something. But after, like, I feel like the first week, it was very easy to do. I mean, granted, I'm not a big drinker anyways, but especially when you're like. The flip side of that, though, is when you're doing the challenge, you're like, oh, like, I actually want a drink. Like, you want it more.
Taylor
Because think about it more.
Caitlin
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But when I was doing this, you know, we got, you know, we hang out with friends all the time. We'll go out to dinner, like events, whatever. And I just, like, wasn't drinking. I was like, oh, no, I'm okay. And I. Literally every single person that I said turned, like, said no and turned a drink down to thought I was pregnant.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Like, literally every single person. Yeah.
Taylor
I don't think one person was like, oh, okay, great, and just, like, moved right on. Yeah, it was. We literally could feel the eyeballs just being like, oh.
Caitlin
Our friends would stutter. People would literally be, like, just, like, snap their head and be, like, acting weird.
Taylor
We'd be like, I think I know what you're thinking. It's a no.
Caitlin
Yeah. Well, the first couple ones, I feel, like, caught me off guard because I didn't even think about it. I didn't think that someone would think that.
Taylor
Yeah. It took a few times for us to realize, oh, this is a pattern. This is the first thing you.
Caitlin
We were out to lunch with Mar and Ry, and I turned down a drink, and Ryan was very confused and was stuttering. And that's when I was like, oh, they think I'm pregnant. They think we're going to lunch, and I'm about to tell them I'm pregnant. Sorry. I was not pregnant, but I just thought that was really interesting. And. And for someone who is, you know, sober or is on their journey of sobriety, I feel like that would be hard. Like, there was times where I was like, oh, I'm actually just going to, like, drink at this event because I don't want people thinking I'm pregnant and, like, having to have that whole conversation.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Like, it's just crazy that that is the first thought. If someone isn't drinking that they think that they're pregnant.
Taylor
Yeah. I'm sure Dr. Amen would have something to say about that.
Caitlin
Yeah, he. He definitely would. Um, but I just thought it gave me a different outlook on. On sobriety. And, you know, people who are even just trying to not drink, because that's never happened to me before. Um, but I. 10 out of 10 recommend it. I ended up doing it for, like, three months.
Taylor
Is it that long?
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Really?
Caitlin
Almost. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, it was just under three months. I loved it. And it. Once you do it a little bit, it's. For me, it was very easy to just, oh, I'm gonna get a Sprite. I got so many Shirley Temples at dinner. It was great. But we also. I feel like we're eating home. Eating at home a little bit more, too, which definitely, like, made it Easier.
Taylor
But yeah. But no, it is. It is interesting.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
It's like, you know, and this is what, like Dr. Amen and a lot of people speak towards is how normalized it has become.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
That, you know, if you go out to dinner or you're at an event.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
At a friend's house and you're offered alcohol and you turn it down for whatever reason.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
It's. The first thought is not, oh, all good. It's, oh, why.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Like, what is the why? For us, it was. They thought we were pregnant.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
You were pregnant.
Caitlin
Yeah. Yeah. So. So, yeah. It's interesting. Would recommend a 30 day challenge. Also gave me some insight into when I am pregnant. I'm gonna need to. I'm gonna need to learn how to lie or something because I got really uncomfortable from people asking me.
Taylor
Right.
Caitlin
Or from like tipping people off.
Taylor
Yeah. And you weren't. Yeah.
Caitlin
Imagine I was so uncomfortable and I wasn't even pregnant.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Oh, boy. Speaking of.
Taylor
Get you some acting classes.
Caitlin
Well, maybe you can teach me.
Taylor
I know a guy.
Caitlin
Can you imagine?
Taylor
No, I can't. So we're not doing it.
Caitlin
You're not going to be my acting coach?
Taylor
No.
Caitlin
Why not? Because we can print out monologues and I'll read them to you.
Taylor
Oh, boy. Okay.
Caitlin
Yeah. You would crawl and die.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin

Well, speaking of pregnant. Huh, you lady lemon drops. I finally went to the gynecologist a few months back. We had Mary Hollis and Dr. A on from SheMD podcast and we talked a lot about PCOS, endometriosis, all of women's health things. And so I ended up going to see Dr. A because when I was talking with her, she on the podcast, she was a little concerned for me because I've been on birth control for 10 years and never taken a break. And she was like, you know, you could like, not have any eggs right now. And she was very concerned.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
For my reproductive health. But I ended up going in last month. She is the absolute best. I am truly obsessed with her. I love her so much. But we're in the clear. I got a lot of eggs.
Taylor
You got a lot of eggs.
Caitlin
I got a lot of eggs. So we're. We're in the clear.
Taylor
Does that mean we're getting to work?
Caitlin
We're. No, not yet. That got me nervous. That made me sweaty. We could if we wanted to. We could if we wanted to.
Taylor
That's the good news.
Caitlin
Bearing all your stuff is fine. Yeah, you never know.
Taylor
Great. Now it's my turn. Yay.
Caitlin
You never know. So that gave me a lot of peace of mind, uh, because I was definitely, like, a little nervous because she was concerned. And truthfully, by the grace of God, there's a lot of upset. Yeah, we're good.
Taylor
Understandable is that's. That's something that a lot of women like, like develop a fear over or stress about quite a bit.
Caitlin
I literally, since a child have feared that I could not have babies.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Like, that's always been a constant thought, especially because I'm an only child. Like, I'm always like, oh, well, like, what it. Like, who. Like, what if my mom could have only had one? Like, you know.
Taylor
Right.
Caitlin
I've always just. I think that's just a thought I put in my head as a child, and then it just grew with me as I got older. But, oh, I think a lot of women struggle with that because, you know, it's always our fault if, like, if we can't get pregnant. Like, that's on. That's on us, quote, unquote. Yeah, I know.
Taylor
When, when are you supposed to start going to a gynecologist? Or is that. That's what Dr. A is?
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
When are you supposed to start going to, you know, check on these things?
Caitlin
I believe that's actually a really good question. I don't know if it's. I don't know if it's when. I believe it's sometime after you get your period to, like, make sure everything is okay and, And. Or when you're sexually active. But that's not the case because if someone isn't sexually active until they're like, you know, 30, like a freaking. A nun or something, someone that, you know, you still need to go. But no, I would say, like, 18 would probably be a time you should go. I didn't go right away because I was scared. I didn't go until I was like, 20, 20, 21.
Taylor
I wouldn't know.
Caitlin
Yeah, well, you would know. I started dating when I was 20.
Taylor
Oh, yeah? When the heck did you.
Caitlin
I know. I can't. I can't remember together. I can't remember. I haven't. Now I'm getting in a good routine. But the thing is with. With finding a good obgyn, like. Well, the thing is you have to find a good one. Like someone like Thais that is, you know, actively is looking at your account is, you know, checking all of these things and all of these underlying, you know, checking your blood and stuff. Most of the time you go, they swab, they swab you. Then you're like, okay, you're good. Bye. And they don't, like, they don't check to see what birth control you're on. Like, they don't. They don't look at you as a.
Taylor
Whole being somebody that truly cares.
Caitlin
Yes.
Taylor
Yeah. So that's just doing their job.
Caitlin
Yeah. Yeah, that's. Yeah, that's the, that's the problem with women's Health, Taylor. Yeah, that is the problem.
Taylor
I feel you.
Caitlin
Dr. A is fixing that, though. She's changing it. Okay. Something that I. This is actually something that I heard at dinner, and I immediately pulled my phone out and I wrote it in your notes.
Taylor
Wow.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
When she pulls her phone out and writes it in her notes and holds it for an episode on the Squeeze.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
You know, it's something good.
Caitlin
That's when you know it's real. But no. So a few months back, we were out. I think we were out for our anniversary at dinner.
Taylor
So this would have been in November.
Caitlin
Yes. And, you know, we're just chit chatting away, the two of us having dinner. And then there's a table next to us has, like three people at it. And we like, over here, like, the waiter being like, are you guys celebrating anything tonight? And they're like, yeah, we're actually celebrating a promotion she got. You know, she got a promotion at work and it was just like three friends. And I don't know why I just thought it was such a tender moment between the three of them. And, like, the fact that I got to, like, like looking at them. And the girl who had the promotion, she was just, like, had the biggest smile on her face and her friends were there celebrating her, and it really made me, like. It reminded me how important it is to actually take the time and acknowledge and celebrate those victories in life. You know, whether it is, you know, a job promotion or something big or even like the small, the smaller things.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Which is something that I feel like we can try to do better at this year.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
I feel like we, like, acknowledge it and move on just because we're not really, like. I mean, we're sentimental people, but I mean, feel like with. With holidays or bigger things, like, we. Sometimes I feel like life just moves so fast and we don't.
Taylor
That's what I was going to say.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Because I think the biggest thing thing there is forcing yourself to slow down.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
You know, life gets fast. You get stressed, you know, bad things happen, and you don't take the time. You don't slow down and take the time to celebrate those smaller things. And some of them aren't even small things. Like, you know, that promotion for that girl was probably massive. But yeah, I think the biggest thing is, is really forcing yourself to slow down, take a deep breath. Don't only look at, you know, the negative, the stressful stuff. And when you experience those victories, no matter how big or small they are, like, stop. Celebrate them, enjoy them. Soak it in, you know, tell. Tell people about them. Don't just. Don't just gloss over that. Is that the. Yeah, don't just gloss over that and, you know, get on to the next. Whatever the next day. Like, stop for a sec.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
You won.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
You're doing good, kid.
Caitlin
Yeah, I know. It's so sweet. It was really. It was really tender, and I feel like, just, like, getting to, like, somehow be a part of, like, that moment, like, watching them all just, like, beam with, like, excitement. It was just really tender and really sweet.
Taylor
Yeah. I love that. It's. Yeah. It seems like such, like, when you say it out loud, it seems kind of, like, obvious and small, but I did. When you went to write that one down, I was like, that's. That's a good. That's a good thought.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
I think all of us can be reminded to do a little bit better at that.
Caitlin
Yeah, for sure. Okay. We have a new date night activity that we like.
Taylor
Okay.
Caitlin
That would be an activity, right? Maybe date night.
Taylor
I don't know if that's an activity.
Caitlin
I was gonna say theme, but that's not really.
Taylor
We'll just go with a date night idea.
Caitlin
Idea.
Taylor
But I love your. I love your acting like this isn't an existing date night idea, and we.
Caitlin
Technically do it every night, but I.
Taylor
Think a lot of people do this specifically.
Caitlin
Yeah. Okay. You guys have heard the struggle of us finding, like, shows to watch. Taylor is very vocal about how difficult I am to sit down and watch things.
Taylor
And why is that?
Caitlin
Shows? I don't know.
Taylor
Well, what do you think it is? Is it. Is it. Is it that you don't want to sit down and watch something like. Or is it that we can't come to common ground on what to watch?
Caitlin
Maybe 50. 50. Well, no, if it's like, a show, I will say we did pretty good around Christmas time. Watched a lot of Christmas movies because that's.
Taylor
Because we both love those things.
Caitlin
Yeah. No, Yeah. I think. I think sometimes when I'm like, it's the end of the day. I don't want to watch, like, a new show. I'd rather watch Friends.
Taylor
Yes.
Caitlin
That's. I like.
Taylor
You don't want your brain to have to work.
Caitlin
I'm a rerun, girly. I want something familiar.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Something safe.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Well, you. Yeah. Yeah. You also just like to, like. I like to put on something that's. Yeah. Gonna. You can just immerse yourself in.
Caitlin
Get it stimulated in there.
Taylor
You would rather put on something like Friends or something where you can Be watching it, but also be on your phone and also, you know, just be chilling and not have to pay too much attention to it. Except for when you want to. Like. I'm like, no, turn all the lights off.
Caitlin
Is that relaxing to you, though?
Taylor
I think so.
Caitlin
Fair enough.
Taylor
It's.
Caitlin
Yeah, it's so relaxed.
Taylor
Relaxing, but it's. It's fun.
Caitlin
Maybe that's what it is for me. Regardless, this date night idea is very used. Very much has been used in the past.
Taylor
Try that one again.
Caitlin
Has been. You guys get the point. Anyways, we decided random. How did we get this idea?
Taylor
I don't know.
Caitlin
I think someone maybe inspired us. Someone did it.
Taylor
I love how you're still making this sound like it's an original idea. We made literally probably 50 million people do this a year.
Caitlin
I think I'm just, like, excited about it because it's something that you would think I wouldn't like. But we did together, and it.
Taylor
We watched the Harry Potter franchise. We sat down, and each night we watched a different movie, starting from 1 through.
Caitlin
7.
Taylor
8. Duh.
Caitlin
I can't remember Hallows Part 2.
Taylor
However many Harry Potters there are. We watched a new one each night.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
That many days in a row.
Caitlin
And I don't know why. It was so fun.
Taylor
It was a lot of fun. Like, we definitely are not the first people to do that.
Caitlin
No, I know, I know, I know. But I don't. I feel like a lot of our friends don't do like that. That's like, you got to take time to do that like that. That's effort. But it was really fun. But I don't know why. It felt like more connected and more like. I really felt like we were, like, intentionally doing, like, a date night, quote unquote thing together than just when we go and watch TV at night, like we do every night together, like, it was intentional time. We're, like, immersing ourselves in this story.
Taylor
Yeah, for sure. But do you also think that it was, like, especially fun and enjoyable for you because you've seen them all?
Caitlin
But that's the thing, though. I have seen them, but it's been 15 years.
Taylor
Okay. Just to be clear, I have seen some.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Also been a long time, but I had not seen all of them. I feel like I, you know, I saw the first for sure.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Maybe the second and then, like, a random one, but I had. I had not seen the majority of them, so. Yeah, I'm sure it was somewhat enjoyable for you to watch me experience it for the first time.
Caitlin
Yeah. Yeah. And, like, I remember, like, you know, I know who's who and, like, who dies and who, like, who's good, who's bad? Like, I know that the characters, but I couldn't remember. Yeah. I couldn't remember, like, the whole storyline. So that was really cool for me to, like, get to, like, live that through.
Taylor
They are great movies.
Caitlin
Yeah. Like, I would probably. I would do that again. It ended and we were like.
Taylor
I could honestly say that I would do that once a year.
Caitlin
Yeah. Great.
Taylor
Maybe around, you know, Christmas time.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Literally find a week.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
And just do it all over again.
Caitlin
They're so good.
Taylor
We'll see how long it can last. How many years? But next year or this year. Yeah, I'm game.

Taylor
Yeah, because we enjoyed it so much.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Like, what other franchise can we do this with that has, you know, I don't know, more than two or three movies. Movies.
Caitlin
Yeah. So I landed on the Twilight series. Heard of it once or twice. Yeah. We watched the entire Twilight franchise. We did front to back.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
I hadn't seen them in a while. I mean, you. You longer than me.
Taylor
It had been a long time for both of us.
Caitlin
Yeah. So I was. How was it? I mean, we all know how I enjoyed watching them because we all know that I love the movies. But how was it for you, like, watching it back? Because this was like your first time really, like, watching it through?
Taylor
Yeah, it was good. It pleasantly was really enjoyable. I feel like a lot of the things I watch that I've done is just tough because you just tend to just critique yourself and just, you know, just be hard on yourself and be like, I wish I would have done that better or wouldn't have done that or. And I know that when I've watched them before, I have done that. And it's, it's been tough for me to watch them and enjoy them.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
This time, I would say, was just a totally different experience. I was able to sit down with you and just really just sit back, relax and like, it didn't even feel like, it didn't feel like I was watching myself. Like, I just was able to remove myself from the movies and just like, as a fan watch them and also say, wow, these are actually, these are pretty enjoyable.
Caitlin
Yeah. I was a little nervous to, like, I was scared for it to be cringe for me, like, because it had been so long. Like, I feel like sometimes I hear people are like, oh, like, I forgot how, like, how kind of insane these movies are.
Taylor
Right.
Caitlin
And they're so magical for me. So, like, it's probably like one of my favorite movie franchises and books. So, like, yeah, I was, I was a little nervous to watch it, but I'm happy to report I loved it just as much. Actually kind of forgot some things too.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Which is surprising.
Taylor
Question.
Caitlin
Oh, gosh.
Taylor
Watching it back this time, would you say that you still have the same opinion about what team you're on or did that like change at all? At all or still the same? Okay, well that's an answer.
Caitlin
I don't. I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
Taylor
Okay.
Caitlin
But I will say because I feel like one of the most common questions I get from people that are like, oh my gosh, like people like comparing you to your character or like to me. You guys, you and Jacob are like two different people. Because I watched the movies before I knew you.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
And like knowing you as like a full blown adult, like it just. It's like not the same human to me.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
But watching these, I actually had like a really like sweet moment that kind of like made me emotional. Is in what movie is that you're in the tent and you're holding her. I was going to say the third movie. Look at me. In Eclipse when Taylor is like holding, holding Kristen in the tent, warming her up. There's like a close up shot of his face and you can see this little like scar that Taylor has on his forehead from when he had chickenpox when he was a kid. And it's like a little mark on him that I like love and like it's just like a little like some.
Taylor
People are very confused by this, by the way. I don't know if anybody else has this but I just. Yeah. When I got chickenpox as a child, I got it very bad. And I have scars all over my. I don't want to say all over, but I have multiple scars.
Caitlin
Yeah. Just like little on my body like a little dink.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
But you have this little one on your forehead right there. And it's one of my favorite little like details of Taylor's face. And getting to see you were like.
Taylor
Oh, that is the same guy.
Caitlin
It is the same person. No. Getting to like see you be 17. Like I've got to like it was the first time it was you for me. But it was really tender because it was you at 17. 17. 18. And here you are like 32 now. Like just getting to like. I don't know, it just kind of like made me emotional like seeing you because, you know, it's crazy to think you've literally lived like a whole life before I knew you. Like you had like same.
Taylor
You too.
Caitlin
Well, no, you had Like a full career. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, I totally did live life before you. But you, like, lived a life, an interesting one. Yeah. A different one.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
But it was just. I had a tender moment and it was very sweet. It was sweet to get to see that.
Taylor
But anyways, if you haven't seen the franchise, Recommend it. There's 5 movies, 4 books.
Caitlin
Which one was your favorite movie? Watching.
Taylor
It's. It's just that. That is the thing, because I've been asked that question so many times throughout the years and now rewatching them one through five removed from them, the last two are just definitely my favorite. Of course, I love New Moon and have a soft spot for it because that's Jacob's movie or whatever. And I love the action in Eclipse and the tone of Eclipse. But just in terms of the best, most enjoyable movies.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
I think the Breaking Dawns.
Caitlin
Well, I think the biggest thing I felt watching them through was like, I felt like all of you guys, like, all of the characters really had, like, their full circle moments. Like, they knew, like, each person knew who they were. Like, I don't know they care. How. How would you. How would you say what I'm trying to say as like, a movie person? Like, I just felt like all the characters, like, they really had, like, their personalities were, like, dialed in. Like, I knew. Yeah, each person. And like, they were just, like, really, like, everyone played their role, like, really well.
Taylor
Yeah. I think. I think that's two things. I think that's one, the writing, you know, of Stephanie Meyer and like, half of that is her doing of understanding these characters and, you know, tying everything back and really just, you know, wrapping each character up with a bow.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
And then I think it also is when all of us are playing this character for four or five years and it's the fourth and fifth movie, we have come to know our characters more and more. So we got to know, you know, I got to know Jacob and live in his skin for years at that point. So you do start to embody them a little bit easier.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
So I think it's a little bit.
Caitlin
Of both of those fun stuff here in the Lautner household. Lots. Lots of film.
Taylor
Yes.
Caitlin
We are trying to figure out which one we should do next, though. So if you guys could let us know what movie franchise is your favorite.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
Comments? I've message us.
Taylor
She has not seen the Lord of the Rings franchise.
Caitlin
You have not seen. Seen the Star wars franchise.
Taylor
Yeah, I. I've. I've seen one or two out of order. But I know that doesn't count. But you haven't seen a single Lord of the Rings.
Caitlin
No, I have not.
Taylor
So. Hey, I. They're both good options.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
And I don't want to compare Lord of the Rings to Star wars because I know that's.
Caitlin
Well, you haven't seen them, so you can't.
Taylor
Yeah, well, I haven't seen Star Wars.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
You've seen all of the Lord of the Rings movies.
Taylor
To be honest, I'm not sure if I saw all of the last ones.
Caitlin
Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Those are two different ones.
Taylor
Yes. The hobbits come after the Lord of the Rings ones. I believe there are five altogether. There's two hobbits.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, I believe, is the third, but they're long. We would have to do. What we did with some of the Harry Potters is like. Yeah, we start getting a little tired because we watch them at night before bed.
Caitlin
Girl likes her sleep.
Taylor
Yeah. So we would, like, break each movie into, like, half two.
Caitlin
Yeah. It worked, though.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
It was good. It worked for us. Okay. 2025, still in January, so you could still set a goal.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
A dream, a resolution for this year.
Taylor
Huh?
Caitlin
Do you have any of those?
Taylor
Do I have any goals, dreams or resolutions for this year? I do. I think I'm going to keep some of them private. I don't. That's one thing about.
Caitlin
I'll allow it.
Taylor
Yeah. I just think sometimes, like, you know, it's so. It's so normal to be, like, asking people what their New Year's resolutions are. And I think. I think sometimes those should be able to be a private thing. But so. Yeah, but I think I will say that 2025 looks like it could be a different type of year for me, which is very exciting. I can't say why exactly yet, but I can tease that there will be an announcement soon. So soon. I don't know when, but soon you will find out why. This year could be a. Could be a fun one for me. We'll see.
Caitlin
Look a little different for us.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
My goals for this year, actually, I want to rewind because there I like, wrote out a goals dreams sheet for 2024 at the beginning of last year.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
And it's still up over there and in this room.
Taylor
Well, looking at it right now, I.
Caitlin
Know, you know, I found myself in December last month feeling a bit discouraged because I wrote some things on there that are absurd.
Taylor
Yeah, but. And I know you can't do this because you told yourself and me when you made it, I'm gonna put the. Why. I'm gonna put some.
Caitlin
Yes.
Taylor
Normal things, and I'm gonna put some wild things.
Caitlin
Yes.
Taylor
But when you don't hit the. Some of the wild things, because my.
Caitlin
Personality, I am like, I am just a go. I'm a go getter, a dreamer. I'm the person that, like, I truly believe I could, like, do anything I put my mind to. So when I was looking at it, I was like, damn. Like, there's some stuff on here that I, like, really wanted to do, but I didn't get. But I was like, hey, I still, like, worked my freaking booty off this year. And, you know, this past year and did so much, and, you know, it's okay that those goals weren't met. Like, you can only do so much in one year, so they're just gonna carry over to this year.
Taylor
Yeah, that's fine. You. You hit so many of your things on that list.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
And you have to remind yourself, when you were creating that list, you literally said to me, I'm going to put some things on here that are wild dreams.
Caitlin
Yeah. Well, my. My word for last year was dream. So. Yeah, that was. That was. I dreamed last year. I dreamed bacon. I feel like I did hit a lot of stuff.
Taylor
Keep dreaming.
Caitlin
Keep dreaming. That's something I still need to figure out for this year. Because I think it's really important to set an intention, like, you know, the resolutions, the losing 10 pounds, eating more veggies, doing the vitamin. Like, that's all great, but I feel like just setting a word and a tone for your year is kind of, like, inspiring for me at least.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
You know, having that word dream last year, I felt like I literally dreamed so big last year.
Taylor
Well, yeah. And it's the reason why you did accomplish so many of the things on that list. Like, sure, there's two or three things that, you know were massive dreams that you still have all the time in the world to achieve.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
But the reason that you can check about 80% off of that list is because you dreamed.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
So is it not dream again for you?
Caitlin
I don't know.
Taylor
Okay.
Caitlin
That's a good. Part of me kind of wants to change it. Part of me still wants to dream.
Taylor
Yeah.
Caitlin
So maybe I think I'll think about it.
Taylor
Yeah, I'm gonna think about mine as well.
Caitlin
Yeah. Lemon drops. Why don't you guys think about it too?
Taylor
Yeah. Come up. I challenge you to come up with a word for the year to just set your intentions, your goals, whatever. You don't need to have all these, like, super detailed, specific. You can.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Like Tay did last year. But I think just an overarching, like, word for the year is a great start.
Caitlin
Yeah.
Taylor
Everything else will fill in around that.
Caitlin
Yeah. If you have a word, comment, let us know what your word is. If you're still thinking about it, maybe continue to ponder. And next time we're here, we can.
Taylor
Talk about our words.
Caitlin
Yeah, we can dive into our words. And we promise it'll be sooner than later because us going six, seven months without sitting down and chatting with you guys was a little bit too long.
Taylor
Yeah. Very sorry. To the 80% of people in the 20 that didn't want this.
Caitlin
Why do you follow me then? Why?
Taylor
I'm even more sorry.
Caitlin
Yeah. Yeah.
Taylor
Hopefully you're still not listening.
Caitlin
Oh, my gosh. Well, we will see you guys. Hey, let them.
Taylor
Let them, Let them.
Caitlin
If you watched last episode, you know what I'm saying? If you didn't go watch it. Thanks, guys, for tuning in. I can't stress enough. You know, I type it a lot, but we just love you guys so much and we're so thankful that we get to do this.
Taylor
We sure are.
Caitlin
So fun.
Taylor
We love you. We'll see you next week, Sam.
