The Strata Season 12 this is a short summary of events that occurred in the previous season. Amina leaves her job in the Underground to take up an official role coordinating a distribution centre in Dockerton, helping the sick and impoverish. She encounters an old friend, Angelina, and they discuss the recent skirmishes between Millicon and the resistance fighters who have been causing disruptions in the streets. While attempting to track down Angelina's brother Tanix, who has been missing for some time, Ximena comes across Summers, who has been investigating disappearances in the area that are linked to a company called Vogel Construction. Summers and Rust follow a Vogel transport out of the Strata and into the southern Deadlands to a remote outpost called Corova Station, where it is revealed that Vogel is a shell company operated by Strickland Corporation. Meanwhile, two traders called Firefly and Grout search a lonely coastline in the southern Deadlands. When they come across an unconscious body, it turns out to be Crichton, who is washed up on the beach after his fight with Rust and Tessa. Firefly and Grout take the body to Corova Station where they are taken prisoner. A worker at the facility, Jonas, takes an interest in Crichton and nurses him back to health. It is revealed that Jonas is in fact the infamous Jonas Hagmire who assists Carver during the Ghost Uprising in Docherton. He tells Crichton that he is being held against his Will at Corova and convinces Crichton to help him escape. During the last several months, Jonas had been secretly rigging the complex with explosives and plans to detonate these during their escape. Meanwhile, Rust and Summers infiltrate Corova as they attempt to discover its secrets. They come across Fireflow, who helps them to navigate the complex. As they reach the exit, they confront Jonas and Crichton. Rust impales Jonas with a crowbar before he can detonate the explosives. Crichton drags Jonas away, but Jonas later succumbs to his injuries. Rust and the others busy themselves rescuing the other captives. Once this is done, they organize transports to return them to their homes in the Den Lands. Meanwhile, in Docherton, Jimena tracks down Tanix, who reveals that he was taken far from the Strata to a lab in the Deadlands and subjected to various biomod experiments. Now that he has returned, his body chemistry has been utterly changed, giving him certain enhancements, but also making him totally reliant on a drug manufactured by Strickland Corporation. Essentially rendered a slave to Strickland, Taniks has been forced to join Millicon as a special operative. Humanoid tells Taniks that he is in fact the father of Carlita, but Tanix refuses the offer of reconciliation, conflicted by the changes that he has undergone and knowing that he can never live a normal life again. When Amena tracks down Angelina to tell her the news, it is discovered that Angelina is a high ranking member of the resistance, which makes her a swarm sworn enemy of her brother Taniks. As they take shelter in a resistance hideout, Ximena and Angelina find themselves in the midst of a Milecon raid. Taniks himself shows up as part of the raid, but given the opportunity to kill Angelina, a designated target of Millicon, Taniks shows mercy and allows her to live. Ximena is relieved of her duties at the distribution center for failing to help Millicon to track the whereabouts of resistance fighters, and returns to the commune to look after Carlita with Rust, who has just returned from Corova Station.
