Welcome to the recap for the Strata Season 13. This is a short summary of events that occurred in the previous season. In episode one, Detective Kavanaugh reconnects with Summers at Overton's bar on his birthday. The conversation touches on his late daughter Annie and his lingering sense of unfinished business. Despite avenging her death, Summers talks about her attempts to recover encrypted data from a Shard obtained at a Strickland facility and advises that she may be hard to contact at times. As Kavanaugh leaves the bar, he encounters a disoriented young woman, Jade, who mysteriously knows about about Annie. Before he can learn more, a group of armed men in a black van appear, forcing Cav to escape with Jade. Meanwhile, in Alder's Hollow, a pair of merchants named Charlie and Darrow hire Crichton as a bodyguard for their journey to the Strata, offering free passage and medical assistance for his failing metal body. In episode two, Rust and Davina meet at a diner to discuss the recent mission with Summers at a Strickland facility. Rust recounts their success in shutting it down and rescuing captives, attributing much to Summers, who is now trying to crack the encrypted data. Their conversation is interrupted by group of suspicious men and they leave. Outside, a man named Dreyfus and his goons attempt to force Rust into their car, leading to a skirmish where Rust and Davina prevail. Simultaneously, Kavanagh shelters Jade in his apartment. Jade, still disoriented, reveals intimate details about Cav's late daughter Annie and predicts Captain Graham's call about her, suggesting Graham is connected to their pursuers. Kavanagh, despite his skepticism, covers for Jade. In episode three, Russ meets with Sienna at her workshop and recounts his chaotic night, expressing a gut instinct that the confrontation with Dreyfus may have deeper ramifications. Sienna agrees to investigate Dreyfus. Davina arrives and alone with Rust on the balcony, offers him some soup. Rust explains some specifics about his synthetic digestive system. He also describes his metallic body's ability to feel, including pain, which serves as a crucial warning system, deepening Davina's understanding of his unique physiology. Meanwhile, Crichton, Charlie and Darrow's journey north is interrupted by Charlie's apprehension at a suspicious bridge, leading them to take a longer and safer coastal route. Episode four opens with Jade waking in Kavanagh's apartment, her memory still largely blank, though she experiences more visions, including those of her pursuers. Kavanaugh, finding a metallic implant in her skull, remains skeptical, but feels a strange sense of duty toward her Concurrently, Summers meets the eccentric gridcrawler Maddox, who despite his condescending security measures and paranoia, agrees to help her expose the secrets hidden on the encrypted data shard. Kavanaugh calls Rust and asks for assistance, given that Summers is not able to be contacted. Episode 5 opens with Rust and Sienna arriving at Kavanaugh's apartment. Kavanaugh reveals Jade is experiencing visions linked to Annie and the man with Green Eyes. Kavanaugh also shows them a metallic implant in Jade's skull. Jade begins to express herself through watercolor paintings and finds herself compelled to depict a series of drab industrial buildings that Cav reveals he may be able to track. Rust and Sienna go searching for an old friend who they believe may be able to reveal the nature of the implant in Jade's head. In episode six, Crichton, Charlie and Darrow are ambushed on their journey north. Crichton skillfully neutralizes the attackers, demonstrating his value and forcing Charlie to agree to a detour to the abandoned facility at the coastal region of Amity. Kavanaugh and Jade search for the building from Jade's visions, identifying it as a chemical factory partially destroyed by an explosion, hinting at a larger mystery. Finally, Rust and Sienna track down Crowe, Rust's sole contact, discovering he now runs a high end bioclinic in Highgate City. Episode 7 begins with Strickland CEO Veronica Madison meeting a nervous overseer, Argento, in a remote basement, revealing that the company is going into damage control due to the leaks being spread by Maddox and Summers. Argento is tasked with finding and stopping the leak. Summers meets Jade at Kavanaugh's apartment and is immediately distrustful. Jade. Meanwhile, Rust and Sienna track Dreyfus to a restaurant in Highgate City where Dreyfus admits that he has given up chasing Rust after deciding it wasn't worth the effort. He is unable to tell them who set up the contract due to it being sent over an encrypted channel. Episode 8 sees Charlie, Darrow and Crichton arrive at Amity, an old decommissioned port in the Deadlands. Crichton leads them to ruins where he believed his companion Adanna fell during a fight. He finds Adana's sword, confirming her burial there by the Custodian, Tessa. Meanwhile, Summers reveals a message from the Grid identifying the man with green eyes as Archer, who has placed a bounty on Jade. Kavanagh then sees a man in a hoodie outside his apartment via surveillance. Rust and Sienna investigate the lead provided by Crowe, but the technician known as Stilla is missing and his clinic shows signs of a disturbance. Episode nine opens with Kavanaugh returning to his apartment. He tells Jay that he pursued the man in the hoodie she had painted earlier, but was unable to catch him. Soon after, Captain Graham arrives at Kev's apartment, ostensibly to check on his condition, but it is clear that she has other motives for being Russ meets with Crow to warn him about the incident with Stilla. As their conversation continues, Crow suggests that Russ should consider removing his steel and returning to a life with an organic body. Episode 10 opens with Russ meeting Davina at the docks. Davina suggests they take a trip to the remote Pearl Archipelago for some natural rejuvenation. Kavanaugh receives a call at his apartment from Summers and advises that she has captured the guy in the hoodie. In episode 11, Kavanaugh, Summers and Jade interrogate Solari, who claims to be Jade's brother. Solari reveals Jade's memory loss stems from a wipe triggered by her neuroshard to erase incriminating memories of Project Downfall. He explains they used a shard to hack and sabotage Blaine Industrial, the company responsible for their parents deaths, causing factory malfunctions and worker fatalities. Solari confirms Archer, the man with green eyes, works for Blaine and has been hunting Jade. An intercepted transmission reveals Archer is now targeting Solari himself, indicating they were able to gain information from Stiller, leaving both siblings in danger. In episode 12, Kavanagh and Summers discuss Jade's memory loss and Solari's involvement in Project Downfall. Summers expresses her disgust at Solari's mindset, but Kavanaugh feels compelled to see the situation through. Rust arrives, learning about Jade's neuroshard, its memory wipers and escape mechanism, and the siblings revenge against Blaine Industrial. Solari insists on restoring Jade's memories, but Jade expresses doubt, questioning the value of her traumatic past and the endless pursuit by Archer. Rust and Sienna return to Crow's clinic seeking his help, only to interrupt him on a call with Valdis, an art dealer and former enemy of theirs. It is revealed that Valdis is the one who put out the contract on Rust, and after failing with Dreyfus, Valdis turned to Kro for help. In the Deadlands just south of the Strata, Crichton and Daro have a strong disagreement during their interactions with some of the local merchants. Episode 13 begins with Russ, Sienna and Crow at Crow's Old Midtown Workshop preparing to begin a medical procedure. Kavanagh arrives with Jade and Solari. Crow performs the operation on Jade after they leave. Valdos arrives expecting to find Rust unconscious as per instructions to Kro However, Rust has turned the tables and in the ensuing skirmish, Valdus is covered in liquid from the nearby cryo tanks and his body is petrified. As Kavanagh drives Jade and Solari to a rendezvous, they are blocked by Captain Graham. Cav forces her to back down, revealing he has incriminating evidence against her. In the Deadlands, Crrichton discovers that Darrow's cargo includes Amber, a dangerous material from the mines in the Western reaches. In episode 14, Kavanagh delivers Jade and Solari to the docks. Jade, having removed her neuroshard, finds peace in starting fresh, while Solari reluctantly accompanies her. Kavanagh then confronts Archer, revealing the Shard's removal and the fact that it now renders Jade harmless to Blaine Industrial At a bar in Midtown, Summers meets with Argento and celebrates the successful takedown of Strickland's Biomod program. Argento promises to return Crichton, Charlie and Darrow reach the Strata where Darrow betrays Crichton, revealing a massive bounty on his head due to his crimes. In the Western region, Crichton is subdued by a group of mercenaries and Darrow smugly promises that he will be sent back home to face justice. Finally, Kavanaugh, Summers, Rust and Sienna meet at Cav's apartment to discuss their future plans and Summers and Cav decide to take a well earned break. This completes the recap for this season.
