Transcending Digital Realities with Kofi Oduro Welcome to the Supernova Podcast, where I speak about creativity, technology, and human existence. Sometimes I interview people who are much cooler than me. Today I interviewed Kofi Oduro (@illestpreacha), creative coder, programmer, and multimedia artist based in Montreal, Canada. His work combines videography, poetry, performance art, and code to highlight the realms of the human performance and the human mind in different scenarios. As Kofi writes on his website, with a dose of technology, there is an endless range of progress in human creative endeavors. We had a fascinating and inspiring conversation on technology, art as activism, and how digital realities can be transcended by generating multi-dimensional experiences. Kofi spoke about how identity, Black culture, poetry, and the power of play intersect to inspire his work, as well as the topics of live-coding, audiovisual mediums, algorithmic weaving, transcending the screen through multi-sense experiences, advice for new programmers, pursuit of knowledge, and the role of technology and art as activism. Thank you Kofi for being so generous with his wisdom and his time. All music and the cover art used in this podcast episode is created by Kofi Oduro.
