Even if there's not a clinical study on the thing that is plaguing you, because HCC is not. It's not an HPV supplement, it's not a skin supplement, it's not a cancer supplement, it's a human body supplement. And it works on a myriad of different mechanisms of action that there is no downside to trying it and seeing how it can positively affect your life. And, you know, I'm bringing up all of these different diseases and conditions, but it's also really great for people who are healthy that want to stay that way.

This is Thyroid Fixer podcast. And this. This is where you rise. You have questions about your thyroid, about your labs, what they mean. What about your hormones? What about insulin? Why are you gaining weight? Why are you so tired? Why are you losing your hair? Why won't my doctor listen to me? Why won't my doctor test these things? All of these questions that you have running around in your brain, and you know that if you just had the answers that that could push you over the edge into optimal health, that you could be that badass human that you are meant to be. Well, I got you covered there because I am going live every single week in the just fix your thyroid Facebook group. That is my Facebook group. A beautiful community just filled with amazing people where I am in there, My nurse practitioners are in there, My health coaches are in there. There are patients in there that have been with me for so long, they're experts in their own right, and they answer just the way that I would. So we have you completely covered in this group. So not only can you post your question every single day, every single hour, if you want, you can mark your calendars for our weekly live Q and A sessions where you get to ask your question to me and I'm going to answer it live on air. And not only that, we are doing product giveaways, we're doing working with our team giveaways. You're going to want to be in there and actually be live on that call. If you're at work, go into the closet, just shut the door, take minutes for yourself, take a half an hour for yourself, take an hour for yourself so that you can get the information that you need to bring yourself into optimization land, where you're not looking sideways at a brownie and gaining weight at the same time, where you can feel amazing every single day. Because that's my goal for you. You know that I love, love, love to answer your questions and this is the place where you can get them answered. Live healthy hormones begin with healthy cells. So when we talk about thyroid or hormone health, we usually focus on lab supplements or symptoms. But there's a deeper story happening in your body and that's one that begins in your cells. Every hormone your body produces relies on healthy, energized cells to do its job. And at the heart of each cell are the mitochondria, your energy centers. As we age, or when the body is under stress, mitochondrial function naturally declines. That can show up in so many ways. Fatigue, slower recovery, or just simply that feeling off. This is where Timeline Nutrition's breakthrough mitopure comes in. Mito pure is a highly pure form of a nutrient called urolithin A, if you've ever heard of that. It's backed by over 15 years of research, multiple human studies, and has been shown to support mitochondrial health, muscle function and overall cellular performance. By helping your mitochondria work more efficiently, you're supporting the foundation of your energy and your long term wellness. I personally found that this deeper cellular approach to health is a powerful complement to everything we do for thyroid and hormone balance. It's not about quick fixes, it's about building resilience from the inside out. If you're ready to support your body at the cellular level, mitopure offers a clean, clinically backed way to start. So you are going to go to timeline.com/forward/doctor Amy so that's T-I-M E L I N E.com forward/D R A M I E and you're gonna see the code on there. Dr. Amy 10 D R A M I E 10. But if you want to try the gummies, the mito pure, it's actually going to give you 20 off your order. So just go ahead and click that code D R a m I e 10. You'll see it on the page or you can add it at checkout. You're going to save some money while giving new life to yourselves. It has been almost five years since my guest that you will soon hear has been on the show. And since we have talked about this very unique, very amazing mushroom, I'm not going to even call it a mushroom because I'm going to let her break it down. It's the bottom of the mushroom and how it can impact cancer. And I know in this whole world of supplements, right, you can't use the word cure or prevent because three letter governmental agencies just start losing their minds. But once you get into the science, we will let you all, all you listeners decipher for yourself whether this is a true cure or prevention or of the big C to which obviously you all know I went through this year. And many of you know if you've been following my Instagram, my dad is currently in his own cancer battle. And when I posted that, my dear friend and colleague Mimi Lindquist reached out and said, let me help you with this. Is your dad on ahcc? I said, no, not yet. You know, I tried to give it to him, but he does this piecemealing with his supplements and will only take one of this and two of this. And she was so gracious with her time, her knowledge discount codes for my dad that now we have him on hcc. And I bought my dad a book that described the power of this mushroom. I'll just lump it into that. And even he was blown away. So I'm like, you know what, I talked about it a little bit because I was obviously taking it when I was going through my cancer battle. My dad is now taking it going through his cancer battle. We need to unpack this for the audience as well because this is so powerful, but yet not talked about enough. So Mimi, thank you for coming back on the show so that we can unpack this for the audience so that they can benefit as well because it is about spreading the message and education. You know, these cures, these preventative products out there are basically hidden because Big Pharma doesn't want us to know that there are things that we can do to literally protect our bodies from the big C. They want us to go through the chemo and the radiation and take all the drugs, because that's where they make their money. But there are answers. So thank you for jumping on. I know that was a really long introduction, but we need to talk about this.
A
Yeah, well, thank you for having me. I mean, this is such an important conversation, obviously directly impacting your personal life.
B
Your.
A
Your father. This is a very close to the heart topic for me. My mother is a breast cancer survivor. I was in junior high or high school, I think, so I wasn't in this world at all. But it really opened my eyes early on in life to the process and what they want to put you through. And she didn't go the route of chemo. She did have a lumpectomy, and then she just changed her entire life, basically, her nutrition, her supplementation. It's been almost 20 years, and she's still with us. She's thriving, and she's doing amazing. And you better believe I have her on a hefty dose of HCC to help maintain that. So, yeah, this is a topic that's very, very close to my heart.
B
So is that what got you to diving into the science of hcc? Because we don't even hear about it that much. You're one of the only people that I know that are regularly talking about the power of ahcc. How did you stumble upon its miraculous benefits?
A
Yeah, well, I would say that my mom's story kind of sparked an interest in me way back, but that was kind of went dormant for a time in my life as I was going through college and everything. But really how I first heard about HCC was through my work as a dental hygienist. Long story short, I was a dental hygienist in Seattle. And as a dental hygienist, you take a health history of every single patient. So I'm doing this with thousands of patients over the course of years and really seeing that HPV is a problem. Hpv? Human papillomavirus. And one day, one of our patients, she was in her 50s, I believe, she got diagnosed with HPV. And she said her naturopath recommended this, quote, unquote, mushroom to help clear it up. And it worked for her. And I was really intrigued by this. And I was like, to my knowledge, all I know is that the. The treatment, quote, unquote, is a vaccine that they offer, but really, like, there's not really much for women. And so this really piqued my interest. And because it worked, I was. You know, I went down the Google rabbit hole and saw that they had hcc has a whole research organization, over a hundred different published studies. And I have just never climbed out of that rabbit hole, kept going. And that was seven, eight years ago now. And only way that I can explain it is this intuitive nudge from the beginning. Like, this stuff is so amazing. One, how have I never heard of it? If it is this amazing, why is it not used in every oncologist and gynecologist and so on office if it, if it has these results? And how can I tell more people about this? So that really kind of catapulted me into an adjacent avenue of my life, which is education, of course, but instead of dental hygiene, now it's on the Internet and podcasting and things like that. And. And so that's how I heard about it. And my obsession, my fervor for this functional food just keeps growing every year because the more people know about it, the more feedback, positive feedback I get, and the more I just want to keep this going. There's a couple of reasons why it's not as well known as it should be. It originated in Japan in the 1980s. It's not like a new thing. It's been around since the late 80s, is technically the most clinically researched functional food specialty immune supplement in the world. It's used as, you know, really as a normal part of the adjunct therapy for cancer in places like Japan. And it's studied all over the world, places like MD Anderson, Harvard affiliated hospitals, teaching hospitals, research organizations. But with a name like ahcc, it's not sexy, right? It requires, you know, I hear all sorts of like H, A, C, H, you know, like all sorts of different combinations of this acronym. And it's hard. It's not. It's not an easy, sexy, marketable product. And with so many, really millions, probably mushroom supplements out there, it takes actually quite a bit of education on my part, which is why I'm here with you, to really dive deep into what makes it so different, so so unique to other generic mushroom supplements out there. So all of that, in combination with the fact that it's a functional food, can never. It's classified as a functional food, it's a health supplement. So it will never be recommended officially by the FDA for any sort of treatment or cure or whatever you want to call it, because they literally, they don't regulate health supplements. The studies that we see are smaller in size because the large studies, as you know, take millions and millions and millions of dollars. The NIH is not going to fund those very, very large studies if it doesn't lead to a pharmaceutical. At the end of the day, there's a whole lot going on of like some, someone's going to be listening today. That's like, if this stuff is so great, why have I never heard of it? Why are there not these 50,000 patient large studies or whatever? And this is why. Yeah, I tried to keep that concise, but there's a lot that goes into why someone who's listening may not have heard of it.
B
Oh, and listen, that's why I've been doing these spotlight series on all things cancer and different things that we can do. Even if it's, you know, the ketogenic diet and cancer, HCC and cancer, hyperbaric oxygen and cancer. Because unless we, we get these alternative options out into the world and being talked about amongst laypeople, we're all going to be dictated by big pharma. We're all going to be dictated by our oncologist who is also getting a kickback. And I mean, I know that's a whole other rabbit hole episode to go down, but I think people's eyes are open. I mean, if we go back five years when you and I first talked on the show, so much has happened. Number one, people's eyes have been open to the lies that we are told by big medicine, big food, big pharma. And to your point, exactly. Now we have seen the rise of cordyceps and lion's mane and all of these mushrooms that are put in our coffee or that are in a cognitive supplement to light up our brain. And people are mistaking or blending everything mushroom related. Just kind of like what I did in the beginning, I called it a mushroom. But to your point, it's a functional food and it really does stand on its own. It is outside of the, the lion's mane and the cordyceps and all of those mushrooms that you get in, in your four sigmatic coffee. Right. It stands on its own as its own very powerful agent. Now I recall when we talked before and I want you to tell the listeners how it actually does differ because it's not the top of the mushroom, it's, it's down below. Right. It's, it's under the ground. So it's a more unique part of the mushroom that they are extracting to actually get Ahcc.
A
Yeah, yeah, you're right on the right track. So we call it a, a functional food, but it does come from mushrooms. So if we go Back to like 8th grade biology, when you're looking at the fungal organism, the mushroom Right. The cap and stem that you see above the grass, that's what most people call a mushroom. Right? That's the fruiting body. What's underneath the you may not see, you likely will not see, is called the mycelia. And this is sort of a combination between the neural network and the immune system of the fungal organism. Some people might call it the roots, but it's so much more than just roots. It's really, really intelligent. This is the most important and intelligent part of the mushroom. So when we extrapolate out and look at HCC specifically the way that it is, there's two different ways. Well, there's many, but the two that I usually focus on when we're talking about how HCC is different than other mushroom supplements out there. One is how it's manufactured and two is how it's absorbed in its potency inside our body. So I'll start with the manufacturing. It is a functional food, it's classified as a health supplement. So we know that it's very, very safe. The name functional food doesn't really reflect fully how the clinical efficacy, the clinical variation of how it's used and also the manufacturing quality. So the quality of HCC is equal to that of any pharmaceutical. And say what you want about pharmaceuticals, obviously there's some life saving drugs out there. It's not like every medication is horrible, but what one thing that is consistent that the pharmaceutical industry does get right is that when you get a bottle of pills, you can bet that every single capsule or pill is going to be identical. So the manufacturing standard is top notch and it has to be that way. HCC is the same way. It goes through a very rigorous manufacturing. And also it's not just the process, it's the length of time. So the way that I, I won't get into the nitty gritty of how it's done because that could, you know, eat up some, some very valuable time. But just know that the way that AHCC is manufactured is different because the length of time that it's cultured. So it is cultured in these big liquid tanks for up 90 days and then freeze dried and encapsulated. The way that it's monitored in those liquid tanks is equal to something like a pharmaceutical. So they can ensure that every single capsule is identical to the original that was first used in the 1980s. So if you go buy a supplement online, a mushroom supplement, generic mushroom supplement, no brand that's going to be on Amazon like that is going to be able to make that claim that, oh, every single one of our capsules is identical. Okay. So that's one way that it's a unicorn. The other way is the actual constituents. The makeup of ahcc, it comes from very specific hybridized shiitake mycelia. So in the 1980s, a group of researchers was researching these different strains of mycelia and seeing their specific effect on NK cells, natural killer cells. These are very, very important when it comes to the conversation around cancer and so many other things, but cancer specifically. And so when they saw this reaction of this specific strain or these, this group of strains hybridized, they saw this amazing result with NK cells, and that's what became ahcc. So then they took a sample, and it's kept in an ISO certified deep freezer. And every single capsule is identical to that original sample. And the way that it's absorbed in the body is going to be more potent, more bioavailable than said mushroom supplement because of the way, on a molecular level, we're looking at alpha glucans versus beta glucans. So alpha glucans are molecularly much smaller in size than the beta glucans, and so your body absorbs them more easily. I'm dumbing this down a little bit. I'm summarizing, but this is essentially what it is. The molecular size is absorbed in a different way by the body.
B
Okay. And that makes sense. And I remember one thing that you said, and you referenced it earlier in this conversation too, when you said that the neural network. So it's like they're the immune system network, and the neural network communicate with each other. And I'm going to bastardize this. You're going to have to clarify it for the audience. But in a nutshell, where I'm going is that kind of overlays with our own physiology. And when we take hcc, it's almost like it's connecting to our own immune system to. And speaks to it to basically say, hey, you need to kick things up a notch. You need to release your natural killer cells to go attack those mutated cancerous cells. You need to take care of this autoimmunity you have going on, where immune system is so confused that it's attacking your own thyroid gland. Right? It actually works with our own immune intelligence to regulate. Am I, am I saying that correctly? Like I said, I'm probably bastardizing that whole explanation.
A
No, I love it. No, no, it's perfect. It's perfect. You, you said it. You said it beautifully. And, and I, I love that kind of view where it's like your own innate immune intelligence. That's why when we're talking about ahcc, our product is called Immune intel. Ahcc. I wanted to highlight the fact that this is amplifying the intelligence that already exists in us. But as we know, there's so many things externally that can affect our immune intelligence and our immune surveillance. And so. Yes, exactly. When I talk about it being the neural network and immune system, what I mean is that it has this intelligence that we don't fully understand. Like mushrooms are not plants. They're something completely different. They might be aliens for all we know. It is very, very intelligent. So it sort of acts in an adaptogenic way. And what I mean is, specifically when we're talking about the immune system, this is one of the big mechanisms of action that I talk about. I usually talk about four different mechanisms of action when it comes to hcc. The first is immune modulation. And this isn't just a haphazard boosting of the immune system or suppressing of the immune system. It's really intelligent in the way that it assesses what your body needs and specifically and is able to positively affect both branches of the immune system at the same time. Which is like unheard of with supplements. Right? It's usually one or the other, or medications. It's usually one or the other one mechanism of action. It's signaling this way or affecting this cell or this receptor or whatever. HCC is doing so many different things at the same time. So for example, someone who has HPV who may need, well, they clearly do need a boost in their NK cells to identify these viral particles. What if they also have an autoimmune disease? And so HCC can positively affect both of these things at the same time. The value in HCC is not that it just affects one immune cell or, or this one way that the body works. It's really sort of the network effect of the body. So this is why it's so supportive and effective for all different diseases and conditions from HPV to Lyme to tumors to skin conditions to autoimmune to liver disease. It's. It's affecting so many different systems in the body. And so I mentioned the first mechanism of action is the immune modulation. Second is helping to control inflammation in the body. We know that inflammation can just cause a whole bunch of, just a storm of issues in the body if it goes unchecked. And so it helps lower or decrease CRP C reactive protein in the body, which is really important. And it's also a really potent antioxidant this is important for the conversation around cancer and people using it alongside something like chemotherapy, which is a direct oxidant. HCC has the power to protect healthy cells while not turning off the oxidative stress that the chemotherapy is putting on the cancerous cells. So that's why a lot of people, the different studies see great effects with chemotherapy in conjunction with hcc. People who take HCC alongside chemotherapy do much better than the people who are just taking chemotherapy. And then the fourth, I think I said three. Yeah, I said three. The fourth is stress. It helps support a healthy stress response by helping to regulate stress hormones in the body. We know, for example, you know, how much when you're under stress, how, how that can affect something like your thyroid, and not just your thyroid, but so many different things in the body. And so with this, stress becomes indirect support throughout the body. Again, these are just four mechanisms of action. It's doing a lot and probably a lot that we don't even fully understand yet, but these are documented and well observed in the clinical research.
B
The struggle is real when it comes to losing weight. Listen, I know because I've been there. You're trying all the things. You're doing the diet, you're tracking your macros, you're getting to the gym, you're going to the Pilates, you're doing all the things, but it's not working. It's not working. And this is independent of a thyroid problem. Maybe you have a thyroid problem. Maybe you have low hormones, or maybe you don't and you're just like, I just have a really crappy metabolism that I am putting on weight or I can't lose weight no matter what I do. Then you need some help. But what you don't need is a stimulant fat burner of the old days where you literally thought you were having a heart attack. You need something that is actually going to work to increase your metabolism without jacking up your heart rate. Enter Thyroid Fixer. Yes, I know it's called Thyroid Fixer, but I named it after myself and the brand because it's my baby. It's my child. It's a product that I have been studying for, for 15 years and using it on patients for 15 years before I brought it to you. Thyroid fixer contains T2. And what this does, I call it the forgotten thyroid hormone. No, there's no tests for T2, but your body does produce T2 in small amounts. T2 will increase your basal metabolic rate, literally the amount of fat that you're burning at rest, it's also browning white adipose tissue. So this is why you jump into cold plunges. Or maybe you're like, I don't want to jump in a cold plunge to brown your white adipose tissue. That helps with insulin resistance, it helps with metabolism, it helps with inflammation, helps with overall health. So that's a good thing as well. And here's the other thing with T2, it's not going to affect your thyroid. So many of you know, if you take T3, if we give you T3 or if you abuse T3 when you're not supposed to, it will have a feedback loop, a negative feedback loop on your thyroid and you're going to either look like you're hyperthyroid or you're going to shut down your own thyroid production function. T2 doesn't do that. It's working at the cell level to just simply increase your metabolism. That's a win all the way around because now you're going to burn fat, now you're going to lose those extra lbs. And that's ultimately what we want. It also bonus helps with ATP production at the mitochondrial level. This means, means steady energy through the day. No highs, no lows, no caffeinated red bull spikes, just really nice steady energy through the day to keep you going. So you want to add in thyroid fixer and just literally watch your body change over the next couple months. Because listen, I mean it's, it's time, well, it's time all year long. I mean there's no good time of year to lose body fat that we want to be in shape, we want to look, feel and perform our best. Add in thyroid fixer and your body will absolutely thank you and then you'll come back and you'll thank me. Yeah. And you, you. I mentioned a book earlier that my dad grabbed and actually started reading. You had sent that to me years ago and it's very interesting. I read through it as well. Multiple stories and case studies of everything from cancer to autoimmune disease to hpv. So when in the realm of autoimmune because a lot of my listeners obviously have Hashimoto's along with possible other autoimmune conditions because once we see one, we normally see two or three in the same body. You mentioned that it, it modulates the immune system. So for autoimmunity, was I correct in saying that it's coming in and just saying, listen, immune system, you're really confused. For some odd reason you've started to think that the thyroid is a bad guy and you're going out and attacking it. Or joints in the case of rheumatoid arthritis, or your hair in the case of alopecia. So how does HCC actually come in and talk to our immune system when there's autoimmune present?
A
Yeah, it's a great question. One way that we can look at this is how your body basically identifies self from non, self from threat from non threat. And in the case of autoimmunity, I think that there's a lot about autoimmunity that we don't fully understand understand. And I'm not going to pretend to be some sort of expert or medical provider in this realm. But what I have observed and understood from the research looking at HCC and also hearing back from people is that, you know, in the case of autoimmune, your body's having a hard time like distinguishing and it doesn't actually need a boost. It doesn't necessarily need more cells. In the case of another condition like hpv, the body does need more NK cells. It needs to ramp up that activity. In of autoimmune, you actually don't need more, you need clarity. And so HCC is able to increase the clarity of the immune signaling that's happening between the dendritic cells and the, you know, B cells and T cells and these things that are so important that if their signaling gets off, that's, that can wreak havoc on someone's body. And so HCC again comes in and it's not just doing one thing to one cell. So like for example, the dendritic cells are so sentinels of the immune system. And they come in, they're, they're surveying, they're looking for anything that could be, that could be a threat, whether that's a rogue cancer cell, a viral cell, or, or something that is non self. In the case of autoimmunity, these cells might be confused, they might be suboptimal for whatever reason. And so HCC helps to amp up their intelligence. And it's, it's like almost like educating them, like, no, this is not a threat. We don't need to go after this thyroid tissue. This is not a threat. And so that's just one example of positively affecting something like dendritic cells, which are paramount to our body, like being able to regulate itself. And so that's, that's just one example. There are many more. But this is, this is one way is just like letting your body know like this is not a threat and it doesn't come down to more cells or less. It just comes down to a clarified message among the immune cells.
B
Thing I love about you is that you are so involved, even with your customers. So I know that you've heard stories and. And I mean, tons of stories from a lot of your users of immune Intel. So has anyone reported back, and this is just my curiosity, but a reduction in antibodies, like, are they actually seeing those numbers go down like we can see with black cumin seed oil? I mean, we can put somebody into remission and see Those antibodies drop 200, 400 points. Points. Are you actually seeing a reduction in antibodies with the hcc?
A
Yes. Huh. And I encourage people who do use AHCC to come back to me and tell me about your experience, because I have literally thousands of pieces of feedback and testimonials from people over the course of the last seven to eight years. Everything ranging from HPV to liver disease to cancer to skin conditions to Hashimoto's. But this is why I always encourage people, please come back and tell me about what you're seeing in your blood work. You know, all of this anecdotal evidence is really, really important. As I'm talking to people like you, you know, like Ben Greenfield, where I'm like, no, I need to have this on lock. I need to be able to pull. But I have seen multiple times people coming back, thankfully, and telling me about their experience, whether they're, like, I was able to actually get off or lower the dose of my thyroid medication, what I get is a lot of times I just feel so much better. And even if they don't have the lab results, like, on hand and are telling me what they're seeing with their antibodies, they can. Can tell in their body that they feel so much better systemically and their quality of life is improved. But, yes, we have seen people come back and say, my antibodies are looking better than they've ever looked. So, yeah, really, really grateful for people that come back and tell me about their experience.
B
Okay, well, I love stories. So do you have any that actually stand out amongst the thousands that have come back to you to tell you how they're doing? Any stories that you're like, oh, my gosh, this one was so powerful.
A
Yeah. I mean, in the. In the case of cancer, one woman, I'll. I'll keep names private, but one woman, her. Her father got diagnosed with prostate cancer, and he really was against a lot of the treatment that they were recommending for him. He just didn't feel right about it. And she came to Me asked if this would be something that would be beneficial for him. I was like, yes, absolutely. It cannot hurt. Talk to your doctor, but it cannot hurt. And she got him started on a hefty dose, a high dose of hcc, a therapeutic dose. It's not really a high dose, but in about six months he was cancer free. And she came back and texted me. I gave her my direct number because I was like, please reach out to me if you have any questions whatsoever. And she texted me six months later and said, my family and I are going to celebrate my dad being cancer free today. We're just, you know, we can't believe it. Just so overjoyed and, you know, I don't know if we'd be here without what you're, what you're doing in your education. And I just, like, I just immediately started crying because it's just so. It's just such rewarding work to hear that. And, and one thing, that he changed a few things in his diet and lifestyle. But she said he was absolutely religious with the hcc and that just really warmed my heart. And aside from that story, I mean, I have literally hundreds and hundreds of stories of women with HPV who were told, you need to get a LEEP procedure, remove part of your cervix. There's really damaged tissue here. We got to take this out. And they, you know, there was something in them that was like, let me try to just help my body first. And luckily knew about my page or found me somehow and started taking hcc. And three, four, six, eight months later, they have a completely healthy cervix and no need for resection or anything like that. No need for these invasive procedures that can affect fertility and things like that. I mean, I could go on and on liver disease, skin conditions to the point where they, you know. Have you heard of hydrogenitis suppurativa? No.
B
What is that?

Okay. It's a really debilitating skin condition where the body sort of, they think that it has an autoimmune link that the body creates these sort of like cysts under the skin that kind of become boils and can kind of burst. And this woman came to me, really at her wit's end. They were showing up in her pubic area and on her thighs and they were just all over, very painful, affecting her intimacy with her husband. Just no self confidence whatsoever. And she started on hcc. I was, you know what? I've never even heard of this thing. But if it has an autoimmune link, it's worth a try. And that's what's so great about hcc. It's so safe. It's literally a food, a functional food. There's no negative side effects. So I was like, give it a try and please let me know how it goes. So a couple months later she got back to me and she was like, I'm not at 100% yet, but it has. My breakouts have gone down so much. I feel like my life is changed forever and it's because of freaking mushrooms. You know, I'll never forget her queen quote. She's like, you know, I feel better with my husband and my body. She's like, this has absolutely changed my life. I thought I was going to have to live with this forever. So even if there's not a clinical study on the thing that you're that is plaguing you, because HCC is not a, it's not an HPV supplement, it's not a skin supplement, it's not a cancer supplement, it's a human body supplement. And it works on a myriad of, like I've said in different, different mechanisms of action that it really, there is no downside to trying it and seeing how it can, can positively affect your life. And, and you know, I'm bringing up, you know, all of these different diseases and conditions, but it's also really great for people who are healthy that want to stay that way. Like for me, I don't have any systemic conditions that I know of, but because I take it regularly and have for years, I haven't been sick like a true, like cold flu, anything in almost three years because I believe it's, it's helping increase and optimize my immune surveillance, my body's ability to like, like, okay, what's going on here and, and, and mount sort of the response that it needs before I even feel symptoms. I'll stop there. That was quite the rant.
B
But I love it because you, you are literally saving lives with your message. And like I said in the beginning, you're one of the only people I know that are shouting from the rooftops. Listen. This is a very potent yet safe, well tolerated adjunct to everything, to everything to cancer treatment, to autoimmune treatment, to HPV treatment, to, oh my gosh, skin diseases. Like you said, it's just, it's, it's one of those just even as you're talking, it's reminding me of our last conversation, which I specifically did not go back and listen to because I wanted this to be fresh. I wanted to Be asking you questions. Like, this was the one of the first times I've ever heard about hcc. Like many of the listeners right now, it's their first time ever hearing about hcc, and yet it continues to blow me away. Now, I give it to my dog every day. I'm not good at taking it myself every day, but after listening to you, I'm like, I really gotta get better and more consistent at giving it to me and not just to my dog every day, because it is that powerful. Now I want to talk about manufacturing and where people get it from. Obviously, you manufacture it yourself. I, I say to my audience all the time, let me, let me lay the groundwork. Number one, I said in the very beginning in the intro that this is not a sponsored episode. This is something I believe in. Now, even if I do a sponsored episode and, and a person is coming on or a company's coming on and they're paying for me to, to interview them, I still have to believe in the product. But this is literally me asking you to come back on the show to talk about a product that I've been using, that now my dad's using and that I have believed in for years. But I wanted to refresh the audience, especially in light of the kind of Cancer Spotlight series that I've been doing. Number two, I tell my audience all the time you want to purchase from an individual. And I said this back in my bodybuilding days. I remember telling my nutrition clients that, listen, when you buy protein powder, you want to buy it from a company where there's a guy that owns it. Like Lee labrada still owns labrada Nutrition. Right? When your name is behind it. Like my name is behind the fixer products. Your name and your reputation is behind Immune Intel. That's where you want to buy your products from. If you buy from a big corporation that you don't know who owns it, that the CEO is behind, you know, mass, behind five other people and 10 lawyers, then your chances of that product being high quality are slim to none. And that's just in general supplements. I mean, I was one of the first to come to market with T2, and then competitors and copycats follow. But I'm like, yeah, but I can stand behind the quality. So you sure, you can buy them from somewhere else, but you'll be back when that's not working and you've wasted your money instead of investing into a brand that you know and trust. So can you talk a little bit about. I know it goes a little bit deeper too with hcc, with manufacturing and quality and why it is so important that people don't try to buy this at Sam's club. Right?
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, thank you for that. Well said for sure. Hcc, I'm going to be honest, it is a very, very expensive product to manufacture. When my husband and I were looking at bringing this into our business, I was totally on board. I was, I was obsessed. I was, I was passionate about it. I knew that I, I needed to get this message out there. And he's looking at the financials and the margins and the, the cost of goods and he, he's like my CFO behind the scenes and he's like the back end and, and he's like, you know, and he was right. This isn't a great business decision. Looking at how authentic AHCC is. And I was like, don't care. I have to do, do this. My heart, my intuition is telling me I have to do this, I have to pursue this. And I did. And I'm so glad I did. But he was right. Hcc, because of the way that it's manufactured and how long it takes, it comes from one source in Japan. One source has a patent on the manufacturing. They don't sell you the capsules. Right. They make the raw material. And then there are people like me that have fully reputable brands of ahcc. But because it is so expensive to just even get off the ground, to just put in a bottle, there are a lot of fakes out there. There are a lot of brands that say AHCC that might have a little tiny little sprinkle or they have something that's called active hexose correlated compound, which is one of the constituents of ahcc, but it is not AHCC in and of itself. Itself. And this is really, really confusing for consumers because someone will go look on PubMed and see a study that says AHCC and in parentheses it'll say active hexose correlated compound that is one of the constituents of ahcc. It is not HCC in and of itself, but you can manufacture active hexose correlated compound. And this is something that I've been trying to clear up for, for a while. And so all that to say there are a lot of people cutting corners call that you think you're getting this benefit and you're really not. They're doing a little fairy dusting of 2550 milligrams. That is, is going to do nothing for you. When our capsules, One capsule has 750mg of HCC. Pure HCC. There is nothing else to dilute it. This is the highest standard, the highest quality that you will get and I can't operate any other way. Yeah, sure, we could cut it down half and add something else and make it an immune supplement supplement, but it's not pure ahcc, it's not authentic pure hcc and I could not sleep at night if I did that. So yes, I totally agree with you. It's important to get it from someone that you trust, that you've heard speak about it, that you know, knows the product inside and out because there's a lot of nuance with the, the supplement world, as you know. And so yeah, you want authentic AHCC, you want a high dose per capsule, not 50 milligrams per capsule. That's going to do nothing. And this is something that I do on a weekly basis when I talk with people, they say, oh, I heard about HCC and I bought this brand, here's what it is. And they've gotten it off of Amazon and they say, okay, send me a picture, I'll tell you, you know, what I'm looking at here. And nine times out of 10, I have to be the bearer of bad news that like, you're paying for. I don't know what this is, but it's not what you think that you're getting. And it's not necessarily just to like make people buy my stuff. If someone's getting authentic hcc, that's great, get it from where you can, can, but I can't tell people that it's authentic when I, you know, I see that it's not. So this is happening on a regular basis for me is, you know, educating people on or, you know, per capsule they're like, okay, I need three grams a day and there's 30 capsules in this bottle, but each capsule has 50 milligrams. Okay, honey, you're gonna have to take three quarters of the bottle to get one dose of what you need, you know, so it's like you think you're getting a better deal, but you're not, you know, per dose. So I'm happy to, you know, DM me a picture of what you, what you have. And I will be honest with you. But yeah, this is something that is a huge problem. And the manufacturers are constantly talking to Amazon because new brands will pop up all the time that are not legit. And so it's a real problem for sure.
B
It definitely is. I mean, that's the thing. When something great comes along, there's Always going to be copycats and counterfeit. So just to jump on that bandwagon, I mean my God, we saw with the GLPs, I mean you know, if you even if you go buy a GLP from sometimes even a bad compounding pharmacy, it's a counterfeit. It's not even Realtor's appetite or whatever in the vial and that you're talking about borderline pharmaceutical, right? A prescription. So it branches over into the supplement world. And it's something that I'm always talking about. And I remember you actually went, went to the Japanese facility to see how they were doing things because you want to know what exactly is going into your capsules.
A
Yeah, exactly. I wanted to know from start to finish. I'm leaving dental hygiene and I am becoming this person, this new person. I want to know what I'm getting myself into. And yeah, in 2019 I attended the International Congress on Nutrition and Integrative Medicine where all sorts of researchers and doctors come from all over the world. I think There was about 50 different countries there and they're presenting the newest research on AHCC for hpv, liver disease, cancer, et cetera. And I got to be an audience member in listening and I was just, you know, like, oh my God, this is like the best day of my life. It was basically like a red carpet version for me. But yes, part of that was I wanted to see the facility, I wanted to talk to the manufacturers, I wanted to talk to the people who are putting their names behind this, this very unique special raw material. And so I have full 100% faith in the process, the manufacturing, the people, they are committed to the highest standards. When your raw material is being used in clinical studies all over the world, teaching hospitals, oncology like units all over the world, a thousand different cancer clinics worldwide, it has to be top notch. You would get called out real quick if it wasn't. So I have all of the faith in the world and I've seen the process, process myself amazing.
B
Well I'm sure everybody listening is wondering where they can get your immune intel htc. So we're going to put that down in the show notes and then you've graciously given us a discount code too. So we're going to put that in the show notes as well. It's just Amy A M I E that will save you 10 off immune Intel HCC. But ah, Mimi, thank you so much for jumping on the show again and just unpacking this beautiful mushroom slash functional food food slash preventative slash cure for so Many things. Slash unicorn. It really is. It really is a unicorn product. I don't even want to call it a supplement because we're not supplementing anything. We're giving our body what it needs to function properly. So happy that we had a chance to talk about this again. And you lit a fire under my ass consistent with my use as well. So I am thankful for that too.
A
Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. This is, you know, every podcast that I get to come on and talk to a new audience about this. It just, it's the highlight of my day. And I would just invite anyone who has questions about dosing. We did that was, you know, part that we didn't really get into is like, how much should I take? And things like that. If you have questions on dosing, I'm happy to answer any and all questions. I answer all my own dms, so I assume you'll put my, you know, Instagram handle down in the show notes, but it's Mimi, underscore the medicine. Medicine without an E on the end. And you can DM me anytime and just give me a few days to get back to you, but I promise I will get back to you and answer any and all questions you have.
B
Well, I just kind of just a brand blanket statement over that really quickly dosing wise is really going to depend on what you're actually treating. So, like, for my dad in an active cancer state, that's going to be higher than me taking it for prevention or someone else or to me actually attack my circulating tumor cells that I still have versus someone with HPV versus someone with autoimmune. Right. Those doses are going to vary across the board.
A
Yeah, somewhat. Yeah. So someone who is in a like, disease state, like your dad, is like really trying to hit this thing hard. I'm going to say, you know, six grams is great. A hefty dose for someone with kind of mid level autoimmune HPV or just like, hey, I had cancer. Now I want to prevent things like my mom. I recommend three grams a day, which is four capsul. But you know, there's still benefits to if you, if you're like, you know what, I can't swing that. It's a little too much for me or I can, can only afford this much or whatever. Even taking two capsules a day is beneficial for me personally. I am interested in, you know, optimized immune surveillance. I don't have any systemic issues. So I take two capsules a day and this is even great for kids. As well. Kids under 10 just receive a half dose and you can open it up and put it into yogurt or, or oatmeal or smoothie or whatever you want, juice if you want. And so it's, it's really. And you mentioned pets too. Literally, when I say the whole family, I mean like the fur family included. There's a whole bunch of holistic vets that use HCC for cancer support, tumors, skin conditions, even pets with like anxiety, all sorts of things. Yeah, it's really, really beneficial for literally everyone in the family.
B
Beautiful. Okay. I did want to touch on the dosing since you mentioned that you know that it can vary, but, but like Mimi said, you can reach out to her. She's very, very responsive. We'll put all of that down in the show notes. And thank you once again. I'm going to invite everyone listening too. We all know someone with cancer and if you don't know someone with cancer, you know someone with autoimmune disease. Or maybe it is you. But I'm going to invite you to share this episode, copy the link and literally text it to your friend, loved one, family member, coworker that you know is struggling with a health condition, something like cancer, hpv, autoimmune, a skin condition, and let them know that there is something out there that can help them outside of Big Pharma. So please share this episode and obviously like subscribe, write a review, but the most important thing is getting this message out. So once again, Mimi, thank you so much for jumping on the show.
A
Thanks Amy. Foreign.
