Teens share everything that may include the bacteria that can cause meningococcal disease known as meningitis. Even if your teen's been vaccinated in the past, they could still be missing meningitis vaccinations. Ask your teen's doctor or visit meningitis.com today Sponsored by GSK, The Tim and April show, where we unravel faith politics culture. Hi everybody. Welcome to the Tim and April Show. I'm April.
Tim
I'm Tim.
April
And today we have something maybe more fun, maybe more light hearted.
Tim
We need a pallet cleanser. We need a palate cleanser. Yeah, absolutely. We're going to respond to a few weird Christian bleeps that we have found on the Internet. We were talking, April, about how, you know, obviously this work is heavy. We cover all the bad stuff and I think we just need to have an episode that is a little more lol than yeah, you know, crying emoji
April
isn't bad in its own way.
Tim
Yeah.
April
But it's just something we can all maybe have a chuckle about.
Tim
Yeah, exactly. So if you're watching, thank you for being here. Please make sure to like this video, subscribe to the channel. Don't forget, we go live every Thursday at 12:00 clock Eastern right here on YouTube and with our friends over at Lincoln Square Media on substack. So make sure to tune in for, for that. So you want to just kind of hop into it and just kind of get into the whole flow. Do you want to do the pride one first or do you want to get into the AI stuff?
April
Yeah, let's do the pride one first.
Tim
Okay.
April
So this video showed up on my actually saw it on threads first. It showed up on, on my feed and apparently. So this I don't really know much about this person but there are several in the comments, I guess that live near her in Springfield, Missouri that say she's like trying to make it in politics and it's kind of this up and coming, I guess, wannabe influencer for the, I would assume maga. But Just very conservative and Christian and all the, all the things that we talk about every week. Her name is Heather Overstreet. It says. Oh. She's also a radio show host in her own bio.
Tim
But, well, she. Springfield, Missouri is like one of the meccas of, like, conservative Christian industries.
April
Like Assemblies of God headquarters.
Tim
Yes. And Child Evangelism Fellowship is also in Missouri. That's the biggest missions organization that target boys and girls that I worked for for over a decade as a teen. So it's a pretty. It's a pretty conservative Christian area. So I'm not surprised. So the caption for those who are listening on podcast says, walking through a Pride Fest, Springfield, Missouri.
April
Yeah.
Tim
And we will go through and pause appropriately. I have not seen this. This is a blind react for me. You've seen this before, right? I have.
April
I just made my own little video about it because it's interesting.
Tim
Let's see.
Heather Overstreet
All right, everybody, I am in Springfield, Missouri right now. I'm going to go into the belly of the beast so that you do not have to. So you're welcome in advance. But also, I'm sorry in advance for what I'm about to show you. Okay. So I have to be honest, I was not expecting to run into a Pride Fest today, but I was gonna go to a bakery and then I saw this and we were gonna turn around, but I said, wait, let me show the followers. So you're welcome. Now, truthfully, I really did not have the guts to stop and talk to anybody. I was actually very nervous and on edge because I had never seen Sodom and Gomorrah before.
Tim
Okay, pause
April
in the room with us.
Tim
How do you describe this to the podcast audience? I mean, imagine the most, like, American suburb, downtown street, maybe a little extra busy with pretty typical looking people walking around. Some have pride flags.
April
Perhaps the colors of the outfit are generally brighter.
Tim
Yeah.
April
More colorful.
Tim
Yeah.
April
But maybe it's basic. It's mild. I mean, it's just people walking around.
Tim
Notice how quiet it is. Nothing is happening. People are just walking around. And some people are wearing rainbows. And she goes, sodom and Gomorrah. Oh, my God. Which I do think we have to mention the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible has nothing to do with homosexuality. I encourage anyone. Go read Genesis 19 and tell me where you spot the homosexuality. You're not gonna. You're not gonna spot it at all. It doesn't exist. It is a made up trope. Oh, my gosh.
April
Also, like Ezekiel also says the sin of Your sister Sodom was that they were basically gluttonous, lazy, and didn't help the needy.
Tim
Yes. Okay. Since we're here for folk, for folks who have been indoctrinated with the Sodom and Gomorrah nonsense. The. There's a passage in Jude and Second Peter in Judah talks about how the men in the town went after strange flesh. It's literally talking about having sex with angels. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is that these angels who take on human form as men, go to the city. Lot insists that. That he takes them into his house, which. As. Which as a person, in that context, you do to show hospitality. The men of the city come out and say, we want to essentially r word these two men. The story is about inhospitability. Lot offers his two virgin daughters instead of these two men, which is so problematic in and of itself. And then the angels, remember, they're angels, blind the men so the men couldn't find them. And then later, God destroys the city with fire and brimstone. That's the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. It has nothing to do with homosexuality. Everything to do with other things.
April
Listen, Sodom and Gomorrah.
Tim
So sick of it.
April
Based on the way conservatives have talked about it, and even the Bible, it's got a reputation.
Tim
Sure.
April
You know, and just. She's calling this.
Tim
Yeah, this.
April
Yeah, Sodom and Gomorrah. And honestly, I'm. I am underwhelmed. I thought I'd see a little more debauchery.
Tim
A little more.
April
I mean, yeah, just a twinge, you
Tim
know, maybe like one person holding a beer can or something. I mean, anything. You know, maybe some kids gambling, underage. I don't know. But so far, nothing. All right, we'll keep watching.
Heather Overstreet
But I think it's important for people to understand what is happening here because, you know, I can talk about it all day long, but going to it is just a whole other thing.
April
There is no pause for a second.
Tim
Okay, okay, here we go.
April
I actually agree that going to it is a whole other thing than talking about it, because I was very surprised at how fun and friendly and how many churches were there and how, generally speaking, it was pretty friendly, family friendly. And, like, there were kids everywhere, people playing hula hoop, people dancing. It was just. It was just whole. It was wholesome. So it was not the way conservatives made it out to be.
Tim
I guess Sodom and Gomorrah, for this person, is zooming in on a human being wearing fishnets and shorts and a T shirt and a jacket.
April
I mean, there are interesting outfits, but I don't understand why that's scary.
Tim
That's what I'm saying.
April
Like dream than like going to a Halloween festival or a Renaissance fair.
Tim
I don't know what the problem is. Like, this person is dressed in. Sure. Is it unique? Sure. Is it Sodom and Gomorrah debauchery or something? No. What is so crazy about this? Okay.
Melinda Hale
All right.
Heather Overstreet
Well, it took us five minutes to walk through this. We did not stop at all. It was a very big event. There are also so many children here. And also, I have never seen so many tales and so few animals, just people. I didn't record it, but there was a little center of this whole thing where there was a ton of people sitting down in the grass and they were getting preached at by somebody. But I couldn't tell exactly what was going on. And truthfully, like I said, this was so nerve wracking. I could.
Tim
I, I Look, has this person ever been to Comic Con? Ever been to, like, there are tons of events. What did I say? I say Comic Con. Comic Con.
April
Yeah. I know what you.
Tim
Comic Con.
Melinda Hale
I knew what you said. Sorry.
Tim
But, like, what I'm saying is, like, there are tons of subgroups in America that have their events where they do what they do. And it's. Ever been to a tattoo convention? You think these people look strange? Go to a tattoo convention if you want to see folks who are like, who are these people? And for her, for her to make this, like some big, huge, scary deal, it's what? It's wild. There's nothing going on here. People are just walking.
April
It's wild to me that she even decided to post this because the footage she has is so, like, mild and mundane. It's literally. She's saying one thing, but is showing us another. And like, she's like.
Tim
It took five whole minutes to walk through this event, but this event was huge. Like, really, five minutes to walk through isn't okay.
April
You know that meme that's like the boy and the girl and they're in the corner and they're terrified, and then they're. It's just like a bunny. Yeah, it's like. And the, the meme, I think, usually put, like, conservatives as being, like, terrified. And then the bunny is just like, things that don't happen.
Tim
Yes.
April
I feel like she is doing the meme in real time.
Tim
There is not. Guys, I. If you're watching on, if you're listening on podcasts, make it take time to Watch this on YouTube so you can see the video. It. It is such a nothing burger. But she's not done yet. She's not done.
Heather Overstreet
I tell that I did not belong there. I did not feel very included at all.
Tim
What?
April
Earlier, let's just. She said. She just said she did not feel very included. And then earlier she said she was so nervous she did not stop to talk to anybody. She walks through the whole thing in five minutes, doesn't talk to anybody, and is now complaining that she didn't feel included.
Tim
Maybe you're not being included because you hate this place. You don't want to be included and
April
you're walking around filming people.
Tim
You call that Sodom and Gomorrah? Yeah, makes sense.
April
Also, Pride. Pride festivals are generally, like, super inclusive and friendly. Do you know how hard you have to work to not feel included at a Pride Festival?
Tim
You probably have to walk through it in five minutes with the camera. With the camera filming people and purposely not talking to anyone to do that.
Heather Overstreet
Yeah, yeah. I cannot express enough to people how videos do not do these events justice in person. They are so shocking. That's the best way that I can put it. But the most shocking thing that we saw was a woman that was completely topless. Everybody needs to know.
April
Pause for a second. I have no idea if she saw a woman who was completely topless. I would bet she had, like, tape on her nipples.
Tim
I also, at this particular event, I can't imagine someone who was totally topless. Like, the event seems very family friendly. I can't imagine people being like, look, no big. Does that make sense? Like, like, obviously private parades are different for different groups. Some are adults only, some aren't. This one looks very much family friendly. I can't imagine someone being topless and being like, not being talked to by event organizers. Like, hey, this is family friendly. So, you know, it makes no sense to me.
April
Right? And like, and to be clear, there are adult Pride festivals and adult like, and where, where the more raunchy stuff happens for sure. And you are advised, do not bring your children, right?
Tim
Yes.
April
But there are also family friendly events where it's totally fine to bring your children. But I will say, just like, if you were to go to like a Halloween, like, we, we take our kids downtown to do a Halloween parade every year. There's always like, one person that is dressed very scantily clad in some Halloween costume, and we just kind of move our children away, you know, like, you. You can do things where it's not a Big deal, right?
Tim
Not a big deal.
April
And are there people? There's. There's probably one or two at any Pride Festival. That sure pushes the envelope.
Tim
This is anywhere in life. Yeah, of course.
Heather Overstreet
Yeah.
April
But you.
Tim
This could be at the beach.
April
You want to know what the most horrible thing that we saw at Pride was? A man with a megaphone walking around telling people that they were going to get their heads chopped off and that they shouldn't take the mark of the beast. That was like the most traumatizing, like, not kid friendly thing that happened. And it was from Christians trying to disrupt it. Not from anybody we saw at the Pride Festival.
Tim
No. No way.
April
Really?
Tim
Shocker. Okay, let's finish this up.
Heather Overstreet
The gravity of these events, it is so different in person. There are children there that needs to be 18 and up. This is sexual perversion. And cities need to be pulling their permits for these. And just a reminder to everybody here in Springfield, this city gives 300,000 dol every year to dei.
Tim
Oh, my God. Wow.
April
What is the video?
Tim
Guys, I need a pause. The video just ends there. That's how the video ends, in case you're wondering.
April
Also, I was assuming she. I don't know if she is straight, but I would assume she probably identifies straight. And I do think a straight person going through a Pride Festival is kind of dei. Like, her being there was the dei.
Tim
You're probably the odd person out, right? And you're being included in this event. You're being welcome. No one's telling you to kick rocks, even though you're filming them for content and totally misrepresenting the footage that you recorded, like her. Her voiceover and the footage do not match. They don't match. And also, this whole idea of sexual perversion, what. What people do, right, is they. They will focus on, like you said, maybe this topless person and try and make it seem like these kinds of events are inherently, you know, bad and evil. But then they will minimize or they will tolerate other kinds of sexualizations in. In other parts of life and not think about it that way. For example, right? I've never heard someone say, don't take your kids to a football game because sometimes the cheerleaders are kind of scantily dressed and do sexual is dances during their cheers.
April
I have seen some of them say that.
Tim
I haven't. Have you?
April
Every year at the halftime show.
Tim
Have you ever. Have you ever heard Matt Walsh say that? Have you ever heard. No, it's like. It's like there's no, like, you know, there's no, inherent. Like, yo, these. These football games are there are. They are grooming children. Because look at these people who are dancing on the field during halftime sometimes. I'm just saying, like, there's. It doesn't happen the same way. And it's so wild to watch someone record a pretty G rated Pride festival and be like, we're in the belly of the beast. This is Sodom and Gomorrah in 2026.
April
She picked the most mild, the most. I just can't believe she still posted it. Like, she did something, which makes me think, like, what does she think she saw?
Tim
Like, and I do think, what are her eyes see? Yeah, right.
April
Like she's seeing something that nobody else is seeing. But okay. To put myself back in my old conservative shoes, I remember I used to feel, like, very uncomfortable if I was around a gay person or like, someone that was kind of dressed, like, gender bendy. Just because you're taught that's wrong and that's bad and, like, you don't. So I don't know. Maybe. Maybe she. I'm sure she was just looking at it through some crazy lens, but just looking at it objectively. It was just people walking around having a good time, enjoying an outdoor summer festival.
Tim
And guess what? You don't have to go to that event. She didn't have to show up there and record it and film it and make it seem like it was a big deal. All she had to do was not go. Parents don't have to bring their kids to events that they don't want to bring them to. You know what I don't do, April? I don't bring my kids who are rated R movie and then get mad at the producers of the movie for making the movie. That's what I don't do.
April
Right, Right.
Tim
I'm not like, how dare this movie be out in theaters because I brought my kid to it and it was inappropriate for them like that, that no one thinks that way. But for some reason, around Pride festivals or certain kinds of Pride events, these people feel like the issue isn't parents bringing their kids to things that might not be for kids. No, the issue is the event itself.
April
Also, I have suspicions on whether or not she really accidentally stumbled upon it. No, I doubt she put a whole story in there. Like, I meant to go to a bakery and then found this and just couldn't help but walk through the entire thing.
Tim
Look, April, you and I are content creators, and we know as content creators how it's easy to embellish stories like that. Making it seem like you just came upon something when in reality, maybe you. You know, like there's ways to kind of like merged that. I don't think she just walked upon it by accident. I'll just put it that way.
April
I made a video about it and one of the organizers of that Pride Fest actually commented.
Tim
Really?
April
And said it was a beautiful weekend, but said no one told us about this. Meaning this girl filming people, which means people saw her recording and no one cared. Someone please let her know that she can just attend next year. She doesn't need to pretend she's on a research mission. Someone please let her know you can just go.
Tim
Yeah, you just go.
Melinda Hale

I'm really thankful for the work they're doing, and I think that there is a really important job to continue. That's why I offer my support. Between the pandemic, Donald Trump, the dehumanization of the LGBTQ community, I just think we really need to reevaluate, evaluate what we're doing as a church, as evangelicals, as new evangelicals. So, yeah, glad to be a part of this community and love the work.
Tim
All right, let's move on. Listen, today will be a shorter episode. Most likely we're only doing three of these total. We want to move to a different segment. April, tell me how. First off, tell me how your TikTok algorithm even gave you this, because I don't know.
April
This is why my algorithm. Brick by brick. I think I saw someone swipe by swipe. I know. I think I saw someone reacting to some video from this page and I. I Did research to try to get to the original page, and it was just a hotbed of a bunch of AI Christian videos. But it looks like. And you. And I just figured this out beforehand because we were like, there's so many. How do. How do we choose which ones to react to? Yeah, it looks like it's an actual person that has made this. They're like a bunch of short films of this. Like, it feels very Frank. Peretti, if you ever read those books where he kind of personifies demons and angels and makes, like, very mundane things in life. Spiritual warfare.
Tim
Yep.
April
It's like that. Only this guy clearly put something into an AI prompt, but puts himself as, like, the Christian, like, protagonist. Because the guy in the AI videos looks very similar to the. The actual human that runs the account.
Tim
I have noticed these types of AI videos going around in other spaces. I think there's, like, maybe a generator. But I have someone that I kind of know in person, like, through my old church network, that will post AI videos that look like this. Like, the same kind of vibe, the same kind of style. So I'm not sure if there's, like, a generator or what. You know, April, in evangelicalism, there's some Christian AI company that is like, oh, you want to make Christian AI generated content? Use our simulator that kind of produces the same stuff. It looks like that. So I think the first one. Should we do this one or should we do the one that. That you said?
April
I actually don't remember which one. I don't think it's fine to do either one.
Tim
Every video is titled the same way it says spiritual Warf are in real life, AI generated. I mean, the irony right away, you know? And again, if you're watching, if you're listening on podcasts, you're gonna miss a lot of, like, the imagery. But just whatever you're thinking, when you hear this stuff, you're probably not too far off from what it looks like. I'll just leave it at that.
April
The animation style feels very much like, if you've ever played Dungeons and Dragons, like the type of animation that's in the books.
Tim
Yes.
April
For, like, the monsters and the demons and all that stuff.
Tim
Very like. Yeah, almost like a. A mix of, like a. A Lord of the Rings, like, fantasy land kind of vibes. That makes sense if you kind of. If you kind of combine, like, fantasy and, like. Yeah, it's like that kind of.
April
But the. But the women are very.
Tim
Are hyper sexualized, I think.
April
Yes.
Tim
Okay.
April
Like, the women demons, the women humans,
Tim
like, they're all designed to be as hot as possible, okay? Like, they're very. They have that kind of like they're going for that look, you know? Red dresses, low cut, blonde hair. Just like again. Use your imagination. All right, here. Here we go. Here's the first one. Again, again. And again and again. Both of you demoted.
April
My Lord, send me. Let me go, My Lord. Spare my daughters. Let me handle this myself. Hurts most right in his marriage, right in his daily life. We must approach with caution. But I will not fail you. Okay, we need to grab some onions, vegetables, and a few other things for dinner. You go grab the onions and vegetables. Nature calls. I'll be back real quick.
Tim
Okay? Wait, did she say nature calls?
April
Yeah, she's going to the bathroom.
Tim
This is definitely for sure your time, babe. Okay, really quick. We just watched a video a second ago of a girl saying how hypersexualized this pride event was. And here we have Christian AI generated content. And there's an image of a woman wearing almost nothing. Like, literally almost nothing. And in like a very, like, demonic, but like sexual kind of like pose. And somehow this is not the problem.
April
And I think I need to give some context. I don't know if it's one of the videos that we pulled, but one that I. That we watched. The. I guess the Satan character is talking to the demon character, and they're talking about the main human man as like, he's now saved millions of souls. We have to save. Stop him. So, like, he. This guy, whoever he is, thinks he's just like the biggest threat to hell.
Tim
Hot bleep. You know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's.
April
So that's why these. These demons are going after him.
Tim
He's saving too many souls from hell. Yeah. Cuz that's how it works in the Bible. Give me a break.
April
Oh, shoot. I'm so sorry.
Tim
Oh, don't worry about it. No problem.
Heather Overstreet
Actually, you know what?
April
Here.
Melinda Hale
I'm so sorry.
April
Here. It's a tide pod. It helps with the stain.
Tim
Wow, thank you.
April
God bless.
Tim
Okay, really quick. I'm sorry, we have to pause. So in this video, this woman bumped into our protagonist. Nothing happened, nothing spilled on him, and she whips out a tide pod for him to clean his very white flawless shirt. AI is terrible. This is horrible. Plot hole. Okay, I'll stop now.
April
He thinks she's cuter than you. He's a cheater. He's a cheater. He's a cheater.
Tim
Okay, babe, I got the onions and jalapenos.
Heather Overstreet
What else do we need?
April
Mm, I'LL get it.
Heather Overstreet
Okay.
Tim
Well, we need dish soap, right?
April
Yeah, it's on the other side.
Melinda Hale
Go.
Tim
This Ajax one or which one?
April
Yeah, that one.
Melinda Hale
Okay.
April
What's going on, babe?
Tim
We were fine when we came in. Why the cold shoulder?
April
I saw you talking to that girl. It's the same thing like the gas station. Why? I seen you with that girl over there, and you were speaking with her, and she gave you her number. I seen you at the gas station with the other girl, and sometimes I feel like you just don't love me anymore. I'm talking just not enough. And you want other women and I don't make you happy, or I don't satisfy you enough. I just. I don't know what I'm thinking anymore.
Tim
Hey, listen to me. She gave me a Tide pod because she bumped into me.
Melinda Hale
Look at me.
Tim
I married you on purpose. God gave me you. You're his daughter. And I will lay down my life for you before I ever let the enemy come between us. Let's pray right here.
April
Who cares?
Tim
Come on, baby. They're gonna pray the store. Joshua, they're praying. That means we can go, right?
Melinda Hale
Come on.
Heather Overstreet
Stop.
Tim
Trey. They have to invite and call upon the Lord, and in him, first and foremost, we can enter. There's even laws and rules us angels must abide by. Okay, so this is so crazy.
April
Some exposition there.
Tim
This is so bad. First off, let me just say if. If your wife gets jealous of. Of you talking to a stranger who bumped into you, you got deeper issues in your marriage. My guy. Okay, maybe you're doing something on your head that isn't just about that. That's.
April
Yeah, this AI Video. What? The prompt was given by a man. Something else going on. He's made his AI wife like that. Fragile.
Tim
So fragile. Right?
April
You have to want me, not her.
Tim
And this guy is such, you know, he's so hot that random other hot women bump into him and act all like, oh, sorry, here's a tide pot. Like, come on. Like, dude, I think you're. I think you're projecting a little bit. Now we switch to the angels, and it's three dudes. The guy on the right is, like, you know, Greek. He has, like, that, like, very. What's the look?
April
Kind of like Greek, mythological.
Tim
Like, has the muscles and everything. And now they're giving the rules of when they can, I guess, surround this guy and his wife to.
April
This is quite the eclectic group because you've got the Greek guy who looks like he's about to go battle for Troy or in Like Troy movie. And then the guy in the middle, he has a ton of fabric on.
Tim
He's wearing like a. It's like a sheet plus some armor, very gold plated.
April
Like, both of it looks like it came from a TBN set.
Tim
Yes, yes.
April
And then you have the guy on the right who's just in a white T shirt and a white blazer.
Tim
Yeah. With angel wings.
April
With wings. Yeah. They all have wings. It looks like. Yeah.
Tim
All right, but you're learning. Look ahead. Oh, my God.
Heather Overstreet
Peace.
April
Jesus. Jesus name.
Tim
Okay, okay, hold on.
Melinda Hale
Sorry.
Tim
Now there are gremlins and demons all around them. I got back up a second.
April
That one thing right there. Okay, that looks like Dobby from Harry Potter.
Tim
Yeah, it does. So, okay, so there are demons all around them as they pray to protect their marriage because she's freaking out because another girl talked to him in the grocery store.
April
Give us peace, Jesus. Jesus name.
Melinda Hale
Amen.
April
Mommy,
Tim
What is happening?
April
Oh, those like fallen angels.
Tim
I stand against you, ancient serpent. Let's go. Can't check out anyways. Notice how the serpent is a woman depicted in this? And the guy who's destroying the serpent is this, like, alpha bro, male dude with the sword. Yeah, it's like these things matter. Like this. It's just very telling of how this world depicts this unseen, ancient spiritual world. That looks a lot more like a Game of Thrones episode than anything else.
April
I'm a little confused by the lore. So were the two angels like secret agents for the side of the demons?
Tim
Yeah. What happened? Right, because that happened real fast. Also, this whole line of I'm sorry, Mommy. We're sorry, Mommy.
April
That is so, like, hyper weird.
Tim
Weird. So they're.
April
I feel like there's some, like, kink thing happening in these AI videos.
Tim
No. For sure. And then. Okay, so I guess. Yeah, I don't know.
April
We don't kink. Shame.
Tim
No. But, like, it's weird. It's weird, though. This is weird.
April
Yeah.
Tim
Okay, so he's destroying the serpent. What?
April
She has a hearing aid.
Tim
What?
April
Why is he carrying her? She couldn't walk to the car herself.
Tim
Wait, what?
April
So he puts her into the passenger seat, but then she's in the driver's seat.
Tim
He puts her in the passenger seat. In the next frame is her in the driver's seat and him in the passenger seat wearing a white T shirt. That is wet, by the way.
April
I love you.
Tim
I love you, too.
April
She just flipped again.
Tim
You ever wonder how it feels like to be human? I can only imagine.
April
I looked different.
Tim
Wait, you ever wonder what it feels like to be human, I could only imagine. But he's a human. Guys, this A.I. this is the epitome of A.I. slop. When people use the term A.I. slop, it's this.
April
Maybe they established the hearing aid earlier. You know, like, maybe there's some like.
Tim
It's like part three or something, you know? Wow, April, I don't know how you find this. I. I don't know how you.
April
I told you it was wild.
Tim
We're gonna watch one more. We just have to. I. We just have to watch one more. The thing is, you can't stop watching them because they're so preposterous.
April
It's so. Like someone made that. Someone put a prompt in and then liked it enough to then post it. And this person's channel. I don't remember the name of it, but it's just fun. Full of these.
Tim
Full. No, no.
April
Part one, part two, part. It's like. Like a movie.
Heather Overstreet
Full.
Tim
Full. Okay, let's watch this one. This. This one. Okay, again. Spiritual warfare in real life. What happened, Jezebel? Is the prompt on the thumbnail? Wonder where we're going to go. Here we go. Oh, by the way, the. The shot is there, I think in hell. I'm going to assume hell.
April
Yeah, we. I would assume that as well.
Tim
What happened, Jezebel? I sent you in fear on a mission to stop Pongu from saving thousands of souls. Waking up, and you can't stop him?
April
My Lord, if I can say my sister, jealousy can help very well.
Tim
If you fail, your ass is being demoted. They curse. They curse.
April
Not very.
Tim
This is edgy Christian stuff. This is edgy Christian. AI, they said the A word.
April
You said off.
Tim
And yeah, again, these angels are hyper sexualized. Like, no doubt about it. It's, like, evident.
April
They're like, very hot.
Tim
Very hot. Yeah. This Gates. Would you like anything, babe?
April
Back in the real world, an Alina, if not Celsius.
Tim
Okay, which one?
April
Surprise me.
Tim
Wait, you know how this is fake? April, you know how this is fake? I'll show you.
April
She's in the driver's seat again.
Tim
Gas, 199 a gallon. That's how you know this is A.I.
April
yeah, but also, she's in the passenger seat. And then, look, he shuts the door, and suddenly she's in the driver's seat when he walks away.
Tim
That too. That too. Oh, and another. Another woman talking to him.
April
Watch for surprise. He likes her. He thinks she's cuter. Is this earlier in the day? Hold on. Pause for a second. Pause in the first video we watched when she's get like mad at him, she's like. And then earlier at the gas station, I wonder if she was talking about this.
Tim
We went out of order. Darn it. Okay, so.
April
All right, so this is the prequel timeline.
Tim
This is the prequel. Maybe the hearing aid gets established here.
April
Maybe.
Tim
It's possible.
Heather Overstreet
It's possible.
April
I can take next in line. These are buy one, get one free if you'd like another.
Tim
Great, let's do that. So she just like the woman who is getting tempted to be jealous. Just like supersonic voiced this demon out of the car. I don't know what that was.
April
The demon and like, did a little
Tim
like holy breath or something.
April
Holy breath on her. Also her hair was down and now it's up again.
Tim
And also now she's driving, apparently in the uk because everything is reversed. Wow. This is. This is top tier cinema. Am I right, April?
April
Yeah. She's flirting. She's flirting with him. She's a cheater like the rest in Jesus name.
Tim
You're a liar. Leave. This is crazy, babe. Did you feel that too?
Heather Overstreet
I did.
Tim
Wow, babe. That's crazy, right? Like spiritual warfare.
Melinda Hale
Spirits attack.
Tim
That's why we need to always pray every day and put the armor on.
April
I agree, babe. Never forget to pray. Amen.
Tim
Oh, my God.
April
I agree, babe. Never forget to pray.
Tim
You know why this stuff is so problematic for real? Because for people who believe in this type of, like, charismatic theology, this is the imagery that they're going to put in their head when they are waging war on the spirit. They're going to think about these spirits like this.
April
Yeah.
Tim
I mean, yes, this is hilarious. It's stupid, it's dumb. It also shapes how millions of people think about this world of the spiritual that the Bible describes. And it's. It's way more like modern notions of fantasy than it is anything like what the ancient authors might or might have, might not have thought about when it comes to this kind of stuff. It's just crazy.
April
Well, and it shows like these really intense imagery of demons and angels that are going to battle over pretty mundane things.
Tim
Pretty mundane things.
April
Even as silly as it is that she got jealous over the girl bumping into him at the grocery store, that's still a relatively mundane thing for this whole battle to erupt 100%. And that, I think leads to actually the first video where we're seeing a very mundane festival and people just walking around and that girl's convinced herself that she's walking through the belly of the Beast that she's Sodom and Gomorrah. Yeah, right. Because she's imagining this spiritual war that
Tim
these demons that are animating all these queer people. Exactly, exactly, exactly. Also guys, if you're getting jealous over other human beings talking to your partners, you have an insecure attachment style and you need to work on that. Maybe like I'm just putting it out there. Like if you're getting jealous because either your wife talks to the gas station attendant or your husband talks to someone who bumped their car into them, there's prayer. Prayer is not going to solve those feelings. I recommend doing it. Yeah. We all have our stuff. We all have our. We all have our wounds. Like, no judgment. But like praying about it isn't going to magically call down these like alpha bro angels to kill the Jezebel demon spirit.
April
Yes.
Tim
That are, that are then going to fix your marriage. That it just, it's not going to happen. I'm telling you right now.
April
Not going to even like to jump to things that actually do matter. I've seen people use like spiritual warfare to like, I don't remember. I, I saw some video years ago. It was a conservative like influencer guy or something. Basically he had cheated on his wife, but said like, he really couldn't help it because he became over. Like he was overcome by the. By demonic influence.
Tim
Yes.
April
And so she like easily just took him back. It was like, you know, you couldn't help it that you were being swayed by demon. Like, it's also like a weird cop out. Weird cop out to where like people don't accept their own behavior and own up for their own mistakes because they just say, well, a demon made me do it. Like, it's just horrible all the way around.
Tim
While projecting personal responsibility on people that, that they don't like. Right. If you're queer, you're living in a lifestyle and you have to stop doing it if you cheat on your wife. Oh, those are the demons. Right. Like it's a very convenient, convenient piece of rhetoric that somehow lets you cast judgment on the people that you don't like and call them demonic, but then also escape your own accountability when you do things that are terrible.
April
Because demons also, it can be, it can just be really harmful where you just like read the demonic into situations. That's clearly just a normal situation. For example.
Tim
Yes.
April
Can I tell you a personal story?
Tim
Personal time.
April
So When I was 17, I went on a mission trip to Singapore.
Heather Overstreet
You.
Tim
I don't know this story. Okay, I'm ready.
April
Yes. Okay. So it Was less mission trip, more like. My dad just spoke at a bunch of churches and, like, conferences and blah, blah, blah. So there was actually. There were three people there from master's commission.
Tim
And, you know, I almost went to one of those, right?
April
You did or you almost did?
Tim
I almost went to master's commission in Rockford, Illinois, and in Finland for a month. I worked at a master's commission on the Arctic Circle. So I know exactly what you're talking about. Continue.
April
Okay, so they were there. So there were these other Americans that were working at the same church. And we were there for five weeks. It was like a long situation. My dad was doing revivals, and this other. These other Americans just happened to be there the time we were working at the same church. And one of them was. I found him very attractive. I was into it.
Tim
Angel, right? Yeah, I got it.
April
Yeah, yeah. He was like, early 20s. It was. It was a thing and.
Tim
Sure.
April
And, you know, I was like, oh, this is gonna be. He's godly. I'm very attracted to him. I could tell he was very into me. Like, I was seeing before. My dad would preach. You know, I was a singer.
Tim
He was looking.
April
Daughter.
Tim
You catch him looking?
April
Oh, yeah. Oh, I was also looking back, of course.
Tim
Obviously, America. St. Jesus, am I right?
April
I know. So we spend the whole summer. Okay. And, like, we got a little flirty. Like, it was pretty. Obviously we were flirty. Sometimes we got on our computers at night and chatted on MSN Messenger.
Tim
You did.
April
It was all pg.
Tim
Are you sure bad things happen that late on MSN messenger or my parents were around.
April
There was fine. It was nothing. I was still a goody two shoes.
Tim
Yeah. Okay. Fair, fair.
April
Anyway, so the point of the story. And Singapore is very safe. Singapore is actually a beautiful country. And, like, it's super safe. So we, like, me, my two brothers, and then this guy, we could just walk through the whole country because it's pretty small. And my parents just let us go. Okay. Because it was safe. It was actually really fun and beautiful. And they're like wild monkeys anyway. Not the point. So we're walking one day. My brothers are ahead. We're walking beside a road. And this guy, like, our hands. Like, we have our hands down, right? And our hands kind of bump. And then he grabbed my hand, but it wasn't like this. It wasn't like this. It was like this.
Tim
Okay, okay, okay. It was the pan still, but still.
Heather Overstreet
Right.
April
I was on cloud nine.
Tim
Oh, I believe it.
April
It's happening. It's happening.
Tim
Jesus, don't you come back yet?
April
Don't you come back when you're like a repressed, like, young evangelical? Like, it doesn't take much. The smallest touch and you're like 100.
Tim
The first time you hold hands, it's like, I. I've arrived. Like, this is life. Can't get any better than this moment.
April
I think I might be pregnant from just this handhold. Exactly.
Tim
Exactly.
April
Anyway, it only lasted, like, five minutes, though. And then my brother turned his head and looked at us, and he let go of my hand. And I would just, like. Was so mad at my brother. He didn't know what he did, but it's fine. So then fast forward.
Tim
He knows now.
April
We. We had a prayer night. Okay? We had a prayer night. And I was like, dad, mom, can I go sit back with the guy for the prayer night? Because I knew prayer night meant there was going to be. Grab your neighbor's hand, close your eyes. Together with small groups like, April.
Tim
Like, any of us who grew up like that have not schemed to make that happen in our lives.
April
You try to stand by your crush so you can hold their hand during prayer.
Tim
I have done that.
April
Yes. So he invited me to sit back with him because my dad was in the front, because he was.
Tim
He wanted it. He wanted the hand.
April
Of course he did. I did, too. It was mutual, obviously. So I go. I go to the back and I sit with him. So literally the whole night, it's like, grab your neighbor's hand, getting partners of two and praying, blah, blah. And it was just. It was actually, we literally, we're. We were praying for orphans. We were praying for world peace. We were praying for all the things.
Tim
April, tell me the truth. Were you just like, this is it. Like, this is what my life can be like with this man. Like, we just are doing the Lord's
April
work while holding hands.
Tim
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
April
In my head, I was like. And it. Honestly, it was so wholesome, too.
Tim
Totally, totally, totally.
April
And we never interlocked fingers. It was all 100% pancake and praying for orphans.
Tim
How much more innocent can you get?
April
Yes. Right? So the night comes for us to leave. Like, we leave the next day. It's our last night, right? We're at our. The apartment that we were staying at for the summer, and he comes by to say goodbye to the whole family. And I've been like, I wonder, like, will he kiss me? I just want to kiss. I don't think that's too much to ask.
Tim
How old are you at this point?
April
I was 17.
Tim
Okay. Okay. And how old was this guy?
April
22. Listen, it was a different world, okay?
Tim
I know. No judgment. Not, not for you, but. Yeah, I get it. Go ahead, Go ahead.
April
Okay, listen, that doesn't matter. We're. We're fast forwarding through that part. I have thought about that since then, but it's fine. Everyone was.
Tim
Everyone was good Christian 20 years ago, 4-20.
April
I do think it's important to note Master's commission. He had to sign a no dating clause while he was in Master's commission.
Tim
And you can't watch PG13 movies. You can't do all kinds of things. Yes.
April
And we weren't dating. I was leaving.
Tim
We were just. We were praying for orphans. We were just praying for orphans.
April
Like, so anyway, I was like, this would just be a great end of the summer. I just didn't know what he'd do. Like, maybe just a hug. I don't know. Whatever.
Melinda Hale
Yeah.
April
So I. He gets up to leave is like, oh, I'll walk you out. Because I. We had a thing. Okay. Like, it was obvious.
Tim
I get it's obvious. I know.
April
I'll walk him out. Do you know what he does?
Tim
What does he do?
April
He freaking Josephs me and gives me a side hug and sprints away. Okay. And I'm literally like standing there being like, what just happened? Then he messages me later on MSN messenger and says, sorry, I rushed off. It's been clear that Satan has been using you to distract me from God's calling on my life. Wow.
Tim
So you were the Jezebel the whole time?
April
The whole time.
Tim
Wow.
April
And I felt so much like so guilty. Like I literally was like, I distract.
Tim
Like I distracted this.
April
Like, this was not a one way street, bro.
Tim
He really said that to you?
April
Yeah, he told me that Satan was using me to distract him. I was, I've been a tool of Satan. I just wanted to cry. I was like, all we did was pancake prayer, hold during prayer. And the one time on the street for two seconds.
Tim
For anyone listening who grew up in these spaces, if you're a guy, you know what that guy was thinking? I've been there. I have been that guy who's been like, this is a distraction. This is not good for me. I wouldn't call you being used by Satan, but like that ideology of like staying pure. I get that if you didn't grow up in that world. I know it sounds bat crap crazy. Like it is crazy to think that. But in especially people don't realize Master's commission. It's an assemblies Of God Discipleship School. It might be accredited now, but it wasn't back in the day. And it's a very intense program. You cannot date. You cannot watch PG13 movies. You cannot work. Some of them don't let you work. You have to survive. Only 25 bucks a day. Your days are full of worship and prayer and missions, work and discipleship. I have been to Masters Commission. I almost went to one. I worked with one. It is very extreme. Like you are taught to listen to the voice of God for two hours every morning in the chapel by yourself for prayer. To cultivate these voices so like it is when you're in that mindset. I know what he was thinking, but my gosh, that is insane to hear it. Insane. And he told you over messenger. He didn't even have the stones say
April
it to my face.
Tim
He could hold your hand in person. He could pray for orphans in person.
April
Yep.
Tim
But he couldn't tell you're being used by Satan in person.
April
I know, I know, I know. I've never. I never saw him again. No idea where he's at in the world.
Tim
Maybe he listens to the show. Maybe he's out there.
Heather Overstreet
Oh, my gosh.
April
Plot twist.
Melinda Hale
Maybe.
April
Someone who did not think I was used being used of Satan.
Tim
So you're very clear about that. As we know, at Bob Evans,
April
We
Tim
gotta tell the story. It's hilarious and so funny. Look, obviously me and April are friends on the show, but we're also friends off of the show. Our families have hung out many times. Like, Beecher and I talk like we're all very. We're very good friends. So we're at our in person event. We're in Sarasota last month, you know, and we. We. We got there, what, Friday. So we had two days. And the Pastor Dan who hosted this, Dan Miner, gave us a lot of time, just a lot of downtime, which was great. So I think, was it Saturday morning when you and I went out to breakfast? Yeah. So we got.
April
We walked to Bob Evans.
Tim
We walked to our hotel in separate rooms in case anyone was wondering. On different floors. Okay. Just to be clear. Different floors. Okay.
April
Besides, just so there'd be no confusion, we abstained from the Billy Graham roll. Seriously?
Tim
Abstain from the appearance of evil. Am I right, April? And so we meet up and we're like, hey, let's find breakfast. I'm like, oh, there's a Bob Evans here. Bob Evans is great. Let's go. So we go and we're just talking, and our server was very nice. But very, for me, very Southern. Like, I'm from New Jersey. So she just had a certain kind of vibe to her that was like, not. I'm not used to. And you tell a story from here, April, because she. What did she say? She was like, oh, are y' all married?
April
Well, yeah. She literally. Because we were. We were just friendly and chatting. Normal friends talk about other things. Yeah.
Tim
Families, kids, like, the stuff that we talk about, you know?
April
Yeah. And so she, at one point, I guess, was like, taking our food or delivering food. She goes, so, are you two married? Which is just like, I can't tell you be sure. And I have gone out to dinner many times. Obviously, we are married. I don't think anyone has come up to us and asked if we were married.
Tim
Whoops.
April
So, anyway, so she asked, like, oh, are you two married? And I think you were like, oh, no, we work together.
Tim
Yeah.
April
And I said, yeah. And I. I was. I was mostly joking just to, like. I just like to joke. But I said, well, we are married, but not to each other. And don't worry. Our spouses know. Yeah. Like, our spouses know we're here.
Tim
Thank you for qualifying it. You know, like, yes, I'm like, yes, April, that's true. Our spouses do know that we're here. Like, it was just such a moment of, like, I felt in the moment, it was like, oh, no. Well, we are married. But. But. But, no, not to each other. And don't worry. Everyone knows that we're here. Like, nothing bad's happening. It's like. I was like, yes, April. I don't think she needs to know all of that, but thank you for qualifying. Yeah, that's our.
April
I just thought it was just kind of funny that, like, what are the chances that someone's actually gonna ask us that?
Tim
I know. It was funny. I'm like, no. Like, we worked together. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, that was. That was a good time. We caught a lizard. Florida was fun.
April
I caught a lizard. You filmed me catching a lizard.
Tim
Hey, it takes two, okay? How would people know that you caught one without me filming?
April
Yeah, but I just don't appreciate the we caught a lizard part there.
Tim
I was scared. I was like.
April
I was on their hands and knees getting that lizard. It wasn't you.
Tim
But as a good cameraman, I was right there in the trenches, okay? I was right there getting all the angles, you know, all the angles. Anyway, well, on that note, friends, hopefully you enjoyed this kind of rando episode. I don't know we're even gonna call it, but AI slop for Jesus or something, so. Okay, well, we'll be back here on Thursday like usual, 12 o' clock Eastern, doing our thing on YouTube and on substack. Make sure. Of course, friends, if you're looking for a better path forward in faith, check out the New Evangelicals, an amazing organization that sponsors and produces the show. Check out TNE Connect, their private community space. It's really amazing. So, yeah, I think that's all I got. Are you good?
April
I am dandy.
Tim
And you're married to someone else. I am married. I knew what was really.
April
And they know I'm doing this show.
Tim
Same. My wife knows where I am right now. She knows. And she knows who I'm talking to. All right. Welcome to Whitaker now.
April
I'm April. Enjoy.
Tim
Goodbye.
April
Bye. Bye.
The Tim & April Show – Episode 123: Christian AI Content is Bizarre
Date: June 23, 2026
Hosts: Tim Whitaker & April Ajoy, The New Evangelicals
In this more lighthearted episode, Tim and April ditch their usual heavy topics for a “palate cleanser”: responding to bizarre Christian content they’ve discovered online, particularly AI-generated videos depicting “spiritual warfare.” They begin by breaking down a conservative influencer’s reaction to a local Pride festival, then dive into the surreal world of Christian-themed AI content that’s been circulating on social media. The duo maintains their hallmark blend of humor, critical thinking, and personal storytelling, all while tackling the ways bizarre content shapes perceptions of faith, culture, and personal responsibility.
Episode in a Sentence:
A hilarious and sharp exploration of how Christian AI content and real-world conservative influences can shape theology, distort reality, and hinder personal growth—all skillfully dissected by Tim and April with their signature wit and authenticity.
