B
Enjoy yourself. Welcome, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show.
A
This is it. You made it. Thank you for being here.
B
You guys, what was an absolutely beautiful 80 degree day here in New York City?
A
Come on.
B
It was so warm. I saw a Wall street stockbroker sharing a pinkity drinkity with Zoran Mamdani. Thank you. It was so warm today in Central Park. I saw a square rubbing SPS 50 on his nuts and I.
A
No way.
B
Let's get to some news here. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis just signed a bill to rename Palm Beach International Airport as President Donald J. Trump International Airport. Finally fulfilling Trump's lifelong dream of having an entire Chili's two inside him. You'll know it's officially Trump Airport when they open up a Hudson. Fake news. You'll know it's Trump Airport when they replace the TSA scanners with MRI machines. You know what I'm saying? Meanwhile, Trump just shared renderings, renderings of what his future presidential library in Miami could look like. Did you see this?
C
This is real.
B
Take up this photo. Wow. Oh, yeah. Well, it's better than the original rendering where Trump had two Las Vegas spheres attached. And I think that's. That was too much. That was. I didn't. Switching gears. Do you guys see this? A group of thieves just stole several paintings from a museum in Italy. Yeah. In just three minutes, they managed to steal works from artists like Renoir and Matisse. Joining us now via satellite to talk about what happened is the museum's head of security, Jacques Fournier. Thank you for being here, Jacques.
D
Merci,
C
merci. Jimmy. It has been, how you say, a challenging time here in Italia.
B
Right, right. The museum is in Italy, but if I'm not mistaken, you sound French.
C
We, I am originally from la France. I moved here after I was fired from my old job.
B
Oh, what was that?
C
Head of security at the Louvre.
B
I see. Well, to be honest, I'm surprised they hired you, considering they also had a giant heist.
C
I guess I interview well, but I do not know how this happened again, but we have the best gods, the best chemicals and the best, how you say, thermal imaging, security, infrastructure. Absolutely nothing can get past us.
A
No, no, no.
B
Jacques, Jacques, Jacques. A man in a ski mask just stole a painting.
C
I know. I know. It's still fresh in my mind. My family is ashamed. My father says I am, how you say, a disappointment to my entire lineage. And I am beginning to believe he is white.
B
Jacques. Jacques, stop him.
C
How can I stop him? He is my father. He can be harsh. But I love him. He made me the man I am.
B
What is that sound? Jacques, you have to do something.
C
I know I do. I will call him later and ask for forgiveness. But that sound means it is time for my smoke break. Au revoir.
D
Wait.
C
Hey, you.
A
Internet. And I have a light.
B
Hey, smoking. Well, everyone, this is going viral at Disneyland Paris. Just opened a new frozen theme park. And their Olaf robot had a little malfunction. Check it out. Do you want to rebuild a snowman? You had to do it.
A
Yeah.
B
Yes, the video of Olaf went. And it is a guess, a little unsettled. Here to comment on it is another Disney animatronic from Frozen. Kristoff.
A
Hi, Jimmy. Great to be here.
B
We're excited to have you. Now, the Olaf animatronic malfunctioning yesterday was pretty unsettling. Has he been fixed?
E
Ha ha.
F
Fret not, dear friend. My companion Olaf is currently undergoing maintenance and will be back to providing Disney magic soon.
B
That's good. What do you have to say to guests who are slightly disturbed by the malfunction?
A
Ha ha.
F
Worry not. Malfunctions are rare. And I can assure you us animatronics are reliable as ever. Would you like me to sing you.
B
A song?
C
Sure.
B
Are you sure you're okay?
F
You make me laugh. I can assure you. Disney magic soon.
B
Okay, I hate to break it to you, Kristof, but you also seem to be malfunctioning here.
E
Aha.
F
Fret not, dear friend.
B
Would you like me to sing you a song? No thanks. It looks like some kinks need to be worked out. Thank you for being here.
A
Magic.
C
Fret not. Sing you a song.
B
A Kristoff animatronic, everyone.
A
Magic, magic, Magic, Magic. Magic, Magic, Magic.
B
And finally, guys, tomorrow is April 1st. That's right. Which gives Trump an excuse to get out of Iran. April Fools.
C
April Fools.
A
We have a great show. Give it up for the Roots, everybody.
D
Hip Hop and Body Pocket doing it. Definition of improving the groove. Use the same tool to shoot the Cooper review.
B
Welcome to the show, everybody. We got some good news today. We got nominated for a bunch of Webby awards.
A
That's what I'm talking about. Hey, couple Webby's.
B
We love the Webbys. And I want to give a special shout out to our entire Digital team. They are the best in the biz. Thank you, everybody who does it.
A

What a show we have for you tonight. She is a very talented actress who's starring in the new movie outcome, which premieres April 10th on Apple TV. One of our favorites, Cameron Diaz is here today.
E
Cameo beats.
B
Love that lady the greatest. He's an Emmy winning actor and producer who created and stars in the new Netflix series Big Mistakes, which begins streaming April 9th. Dan Levy is joining another great dude.
A
Our first guest is a very talented
B
actress who stars in the new movie Outcome, which premieres on Apple TV April 10th. Please welcome Cameron Diaz.
A
Come on now, bud. Cameron, welcome back.
B
Welcome back to the show.
D
Hi.
E
How are you?
B
I know you're in New York shooting a movie and you brought the great weather. It's because of you.
E
Yeah.
B
This is.
C
Yes, it is.
E
This is like so aggressive, this weather.
B
Yeah, it's interesting, right?
E
You just came out of nowhere and just like so oppressive, you know, I
B
don't know what idiot. What to wear, what's going on. Because last week was 30.
E
I know, because you look at the app every day and you're like, what is it going to be?
B
But you like, you told me you like 30, 40 degrees.
E
I'm my sweet spot. Everybody has their like, temperature they thrive in.
B
Yes.
E
Mine is between 30 and 40 degrees.
B
How is that possible? You're a California girl.
E
No, it just speaks to me. I think it's because I'm a California girl.
B
It gives you a little.
E
Yeah, we don't give you a little edge. Yeah. You know, seasons, it's a cycle of life. I feel my death and then my rebirth.
A
Oh, my God.
G
Wow, that's deep.
E
It's very, you know, it's like in your body, it's the root of your soul.
B
Yes. What movie are you doing? Can you tell us any details?
E
I'm doing a movie with Stephen Merchant.
B
I love Stephen Merchant.
E
He's so great.
B
He's so funny, man.
E
He's so funny. Gosh, he's so great. So, yeah, I'm doing a film here with him. I don't know the name of it yet.
B
Yeah. All right, perfect. Yeah. Well, when you have a name, you have to come back and tell us because you took a little break from acting, then you came back with this giant movie back in action. One of Netflix's biggest movies of the Year. Congratulations.
E
Thank you.
A
On that.
B
Thank you. Fantastic.
E
Thank you.
B
Broke records and now I heard rumor that maybe you're gonna be back voicing Princess Fiona.
E
I am.
A
Wow.
E
Yeah.
A
This is what I'm talking about.
E
Yeah.
B
A new Shrek movie.
E
Fifth Shrek. Yes. Can you believe it?
B
That's fantastic.
E
Two decades of. What's that? You're Queen Fiona. I forgot about that. I'm no longer Princess Fiona.
B
Yeah, you're Queen Fiona.
E
You will address me as such.
A
Yeah. Sorry, I apologize.
B
Yes. Scolded a. But I was gonna ask you, do kids come up and freak out when they hear your voice at the grocery store or something?
E
You know, it's really funny. Cause parents are the ones who are like, honey, this is Princess Fiona. She does the voice for Princess Fiona. And one time, this little girl, she just looked at me and burst into tears. She just started crying. So, like, bawling her eyes out. And her mom's like, I'm so sorry. I'm like, I really don't take it personally. I would cry if I found out the voice of.
B
They don't quite understand.
E
They don't quite understand. So I always tell parents, like, don't tell them that. It's like Santa Claus.
B
Yeah, but you do everything. You do romantic comedies, you do animation, you do dramas. Is there a genre that you haven't done that you want to do? What's your dream job?
E
I think you know what I've always wanted to do?
B
What?
E
Like a season on snl. Like, a full season on snl. Like, from the beginning to the end. Like, just become a cast member on Drew. And I talked about it, like, 20 years ago. But, like, doing Ethan on. As a cast member on SNL would be so much fun.
B
I think the first time I met you was when you hosted snl.
E
Yeah.
B
And you were fantastic.
E
It was so much fun. I mean, I wouldn't host. I'd be like, you know, just a cast member. Just a cast member.
A
Ooh.
B
Lauren.
A
Lauren. We like this.
D
We sell.
A
The audience likes this idea.
E
But I'm so tired now, I don't think I could do it.
B
No, you could. Please. And by the way, congrats on your wine, by the way.
E
Thank you.
B
Aveline is.
E
Thank you.
B
And I get it. I buy it all the time. But also, you send them to me as gifts, which are very nice of you.
E
You're welcome.
B
You know, I like it. Yeah.
E
Well, I reciprocate because I get the avocado box out of here. Avocado dough?
B
No, but I love it so Much. But it's tough to have a wine take off and you put so much work into it, and it's delicious. And congrats.
E
Thank you.
B
And I always pretend like I know what I'm talking about because I have all your wines at the house. Oh, yeah, I can see I need more vocabulary, you know, I mean, look,
E
you could talk about the body of the wine, you could talk about the palate.
B
Yes.
E
You know where it hits you? On the palate.
B
Oh, that's a good one.
E
Your palate. Mid palate.
B
Oh, this is hitting me back.
E
Of your palate.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
Oh, my God, that's fantastic. I do love that. Are you learning so much about it in the whole scene?
E
Yeah. I mean, winemaking is a science. It is amazing. It's just. It's chemistry. It's just you do one thing, you get one result, you do another thing, you get another. And it's just sort of mad scientists. But the winemakers are so incredible.
B
Well, congrats on this fifth birthday. So happy birthday to Amelie.
E
Thank you.
B
Great, great, great wine.
A
I love it.
B
But let's talk your new movie outcome is the name of the movie. It's very funny. It's also very intense. It's co written by Jonah Hill, our buddy, and directed by Jonah Hill, who we love. How do we set up what the movie is and who you play?
E
Keanu plays a character that's. His character is a movie star. Oh, named Reef Hawk.
B
Yeah. Great name.
E
And it's a great name.
B
Reef Hawk.
E
He's going through this. Something happens where he basically gets a phone call that is life changing. That could really hurt his career. Career. And I play along with Matt Bomer, his best friend. Matt's incredible.
B
He crushes in this.
E
We play his best friends since, like, before he was a star. Like he was a child star, but we've known him since he was like, you know, young teen.
B
So you can talk.
E
So we've been in it, you know, our whole lives together, basically.
B
These characters are loosely based on Jonah's real friends.
E
Yes, actually completely. So Ezra woods, who also was one of the writers on it, is Matt Bomer's character. And mine is Kyle Applebaum, who is Kyle Applebaum, who is like Jonah's friend. Yes.
B
It's not your first time working with Keanu.
E
It's not?
G
No.
E
I worked with Keanu.
B
You did a movie called Feeling Minnesota back in 1996 years ago. Come on, look at this. Do you remember First Impression?
E
That was my fourth film and I was working with you. Keanu Reeves. And I was so. I was so green. I was literally like, oh, my God, please don't remember that we were together 30 years ago. Even though I've seen him since, I'm like, please don't remember.
B
But did he remember?
G
He did.
E
Isn't that so crazy?
B
What'd he say?
E
You know what? I really. Keanu is just a lovely human being. He's exactly the same. Still hits the three shot. You know, he's a. We play basketball together. He. He's got a great three pointer. And I'm up to dunking now.
B
Oh, wow. Congratulations. Oh, my gosh. Well, it's good to see you guys
E
get out on the court together. And we just like, yeah, it's just like old times.
B
It's magic. It's fun to watch.
A
Cameron Diaz, everybody. Outcome premieres on Apple TV April 10th. Stick around. Everybody.
D
Gonna go bad. Ish. Everybody know that, though. Like Bo Jackson. Everybody know that from.
A
Our next guest is an Emmy winning
B
actor and producer who created and stars in the new series Big Mistakes, which begins streaming April 9th on Netflix. Please welcome Dan Levy.
G
So happy to be here.
A
Levy. So good to see you.
B
So happy to be Aerostar.
A
Come on. Yeah, they love you.
B
Come on. Welcome back. I always love seeing you. Always love seeing you. You're a great follow on the social medias. I follow you and I like seeing. Am I? Yes. I like seeing what you're up to. I know that you're into fashion.
G
I like. Yeah, yeah.
B
You posted.
G
Pay attention.
B
You posted this. You were at a Celine show. Oh, there we go.
G
That's a little Schitt's creep reunion.
B
There it is.
G
David and Stevie have never looked better, frankly.
B
I mean, gosh, you're a good looking guy right there.
G
I find myself in very uncomfortable situations at those things, though. Really? Yeah. It's far less glamorous than you think. Oh, like there. Yeah. I look good.
B
Yeah.
G
It was so hot. And I'm so polite. Like, the Canadian in me is so polite that I was like, I committed to the look. The look is like a wool coat.
B
Yes. It's a winter.
G
Looks fab. Yeah. Could not be hotter. To the point where. And then you get to that point where you're sweating under the clothes and then you can't take the jacket off cause you've already swept through all the clothes.
B
Yes.
G
And then every person I said hello to could feel the heat, like emanating out from my. They're like, wow, you're really hot right now. Really warm.
B
Yeah, you're warm. Yeah.
G
I have a bad track record with.
B
So it's not as glamorous types of events. It's not as glamorous as you would think by watching.
G
Well, I mean, you look at it and you're like, yeah, it's a fashion show. It is. It's great.
B
Yeah.
G
I just haven't. I don't know.
B
You don't have good luck with them?
G
I don't have good luck.
B
You brought us another example to show. This is a. So the front would normally look like this and you look cool.
G
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was sitting on a bench. I'm Canadian, so I'll just agree to anything. So you're sitting on a bench. Someone was like, can someone sit down? Can you move down? Yes. Someone else is sitting down. Can you move down? Absolutely. Someone else is sitting down. Can you move down? This is where I ended up on the bench at, like, a gorgeous fashion show where everyone's looking.
B
Show the picture.
G
Can you see what's going on here? Can we actually zoom into my ass?
A
Are you flowing?
G
This was a Loewe fashion show.
A
How are you doing?
G
Hottest brand in the world.
B
That's a lot of core strength.
C
That is.
G
Full cheek off the bench.
A
Wow.
G
And I was sitting beside this, like, incredible K pop star. I was in awe and could not have been more uncomfortable. So then over the course of this fashion show, if you actually do, like, sit half on a chair, I found myself having to, like, prop myself up. So my friend, meanwhile, is behind me taking these photos, laughing his ass off. Hold on, here we go. Yeah. So the hand comes out. I'm now trembling. The show isn't ending. It's like gorgeous model after gorgeous model.
B
And you're like, quaking. Yes, Quaking quickly.
G
Finally. Yeah, the leg comes out to like, reinforce the fact that my ass is.
B
What an evolution you are. That is.
G
You go home and everyone's like, so how was it? Was it fabulous? And I was like, yeah, it was.
B
You loved it.
G
Clothes were really good.
B
You loved it that much?
G
I don't remember a thing.
B
Yeah. Anyway, that's what you do for fashion.
G
You do a lot for fashion.
B
Dan, I think the first time you came on our show was with the cast of Schitt's Creek.
G
That's right.
B
And you were here and amazing cast and I appreciate you doing that. And I think it was. Catherine o' Hara was on as well. And I've just got to say I'm so sorry about the passing. We. Gosh, you must have been.
G
Listen, it's like a Collective loss. I think she was the greatest. She's irreplaceable. And, you know, I think the great comfort for me has just been to see how loved she was. You know what I mean?
B
She really was.
G
The outpouring. Everyone felt like they kind of knew her.
B
She could do everything. She's one of the funniest comedians I've ever seen. Absolutely. Can do characters. Can.
C
Unbelievably.
B
She's just gorgeous.
G
Talented at improvising. One of the great, great, great, great.
B
Yeah. We love you. I want to talk about your new show. It is called Big Mistakes.
G
Yeah.
B
And it's. Yes. It's very, very, very funny. It has a very funny premise that stems from. I read, a real phobia that you have.
G
I have an irrational fear of being blackmailed into organized crime.
A
Okay.
B
We can relate. A lot of people can relate.
G
I don't know how. I don't know why, but if you really think about it, would you want to be blackmailed into organized.
B
No, I would not. I have a phobia, too, I guess.
G
I mean, I wouldn't do well. So when you're writing a show, you almost kind of have to think about, like, okay, well, what's the worst case scenario that you would want to find yourself in?
B
And it's this.
G
And I am. My character is just as incapable as I would be if I were to find myself blackmailed into organized crime. It's perfectly, instantly killed.
B
Yeah.
G
Like, 45 seconds into meeting me, these
B
people would just off you. Yeah. And you came up with the idea with Rachel Sennott.
G
That's right.
B
Who, Gosh, is so funny and one of the freshest voices in comedy. She's great. How did you just. From this.
G
Well, I mean, I had the premise, which is these two siblings find themselves, like, blackmailed into crime, and I thought, well, who else would be so unbelievably incapable of handling criminal activity? And called Rachel.
B
Yeah.
G
I still to this day, like, she could just be offended by every time I mention this, but she said yes, and the two of us put our brains together and made this nutty show funny.
B
And you play a pastor, by the way.
G
I play a pastor. Yeah. In a stunning turn of events, I
B
also love that you wrote this show.
G
Yeah.
B
You're making all these choices.
G
Yeah. I got to employ myself somehow.
B
Yes, but you chose play the parts
G
you're not getting anywhere else.
B
I know a pastor.
G
No one's handing me action scripts.
B
Going to the orientation.
G
I had to write it for myself.
B
You are doing stunts in this by the way.
G
Yeah.
B
100%. Oh, my God. How do you feel about that?
G
Well, by stunts. Have you done stunts?
B
I mean, I haven't done stunts like this. Well, that's not surreal. That is something else. Not everyone can do that.
G
Once you do that, you can do anything. The great thing about being, like an actor and not a stunt person is that you do the stunt. Or rather someone does the stunt. You then come in and pick up where they left off. So they do all the hard work. And then you come in and you're like, wow. And hope that it looks real.
B
Yeah.
G
And then I guess you come on a late night talk show and reveal all the secrets.
A
No. Yeah. No.
G
No.
B
Yeah. Spoil everything.
G
Anyway, I did the stunt. Yes, I did.
B
You didn't. But it looks real. That's right. And what a cast, by the way. Laurie Metcalf. Laurie Metcalf had me screaming out loud, laughing. She's unbelievably funny.
G
And, like, I've just admired her my whole life. Gosh. And never in a million years did I think she'd say yes. And then the minute you have Laurie Metcalf on your show, you're like rest writes itself.
B
But I couldn't keep a straight face. The scenes are unreal.
G
We couldn't keep a straight face. We were in the scenes. And I learned this on Schitt's Creek. Sometimes you just have to go with the laughter and let your character also find the person amusing.
B
Oh, my God.
G
It's a way of making yourself look a little bit more professional.
A
