Jimmy Fallon
From Studio 6P in Rockefeller center in the heart of New York City, the Tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Tonight joins Jimmy and Ken super old champions Jalen Hurst and Saquon Barkley and Jalen Brown, Janet Cathart, comedian Leslie Liao. And featuring Darren Paper and the world's most dangerous banner in the right studio. And now. Oh, my God. Welcome, everybody. That's how you do it. Thank you, Paul. Enjoy yourself, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show. You're here. Thank you for watching, you guys. I'm very excited for this. From the super bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Saquon Barkley and Super Bowl MVP quarterback Jalen Hurts are my guests tonight. Right now, every Giants fan is like, good Lord, will this nightmare ever end? As if winning the super bowl wasn't enough, Sunday was also Saquon's birthday. Before the game, they gave him a cake and then he blew out the Chiefs. Yep, the Eagles absolutely dominated on Sunday. The last time somebody from Philadelphia smacked someone that hard, they got banned from the Oscars. Saquon and Jaylen are joining us after two straight days of partying, drinking champagne, smoking cigars. It's kind of like when Martha Stewart comes on the show, I gotta be honest. Well, the ratings for the super bowl are in and a record 126 million people watch. That's crazy. I mean, imagine how high they would have been if the game wasn't over after the first quarter. Meanwhile, the Eagles super bowl parade is this Friday, which is also Valentine's Day. It's also Valentine's Day, so while couples will be enjoying an edible arrangement, Eagles fans will be enjoying an arrangement of edibles. Yeah, that's right. The Eagles parade is this Friday. It's great for fans because there's no work the next day, but bad because they can't see a judge till Monday. Some political news. Apparently President Trump's new tariffs could be to blame for delayed shipments from temu. Not sure what's worse, telling your wife her Valentine's Day gift is delayed or that you got it off temu. Well, some business news. Elon Musk just offered to buy OpenAI, the company that owns ChatGPT, for $97.4 billion. But in response, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted, no, thank you, but we will buy Twitter for 9.74 billion if you want. Yeah. So they're beefing. Well, it didn't stop. It didn't stop there. Then Elon said, nice burn. Did ChatGPT write it for you? Ben Altman said, no, if I Wanted a burn, I'd just turn on a Tesla. Then Jeff Bezos said, guys, stop. This doesn't reflect well on either of you. Then Mark Zuckerberg said, oh, shut up, Jeff. I could see my reflection in your head. And President Trump said, enough already. Hey, if you're all here, then who's getting me my Diet Coke? And then everyone said, oh, yes, sir, right away, sir. And that's ok. Got that settled. Yes. I'll get it. You get it. You guys see this? A new study found that taking Ozempic could lead to vision problems. How cruel. You finally lose weight and now you're seeing double. When they heard the alternative to Ozempic as exercise, people were just like, well, just how blind are we talking? Well, Listen to this. McDonald's sales have dropped to their lowest level since the pandemic. Yeah, it turns out they lost a lot of money after Grimace started taking Ozempic. McDonald's is pretty upset. If you ask for right today, if you ask for a Happy Meal, they go to Wendy's. Nothing happy here, dude. We have a great show. Give it up for Paul Shafer and the world's most dangerous band. Oh, my goodness. What a show we have for you tonight. An unbelievable show. They are fresh off a historic super bowl victory on Sunday night. We're so excited to hear from the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts and NFL offensive player of the year Taquan Barkley are here. We're here tonight. Also keeping it going. Oh, my goodness. He's a four time NBA all star with the Boston Celtics and last year's finals mvp. He also is the founder of a new performance line 741, which is available now. Jaylen Brown is joining us this evening from the Boston Celtics. She stars in the hit series XO Kitty. Season 2 is streaming now on Netflix. Anna Cathcart is here. That's fantastic. And we got great standing from Leslie Leow, everybody. Leslie Leow is here. Well, guys, I'm so excited that Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are on the show because they actually helped me win bingo on my super bowl bingo card.
Ken
Oh, that's cool.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Here, let me show you what I mean.
Saquon Barkley
Here.
Jimmy Fallon
Look at this. The first square says, get Super Bowl MVP on the Tonight Show. That happened. Yeah. Come on down. Yeah. Check out the other. Check out the other squares I had during the game. For example, this, this next query says, man in ad with fleshy cowboy hat makes you lose your appetite. That happened. That happened to me. I saw that. Yeah. This next Query is. Everyone in unison says, is that Serena Williams? That happened at the party I was at. Let's see the next query. It says a seal with seal's face. Makes you wonder what was in the brownie. You just ate. And have meat. Of course, the free space Here is Matthew McConaughey commercial. Yeah, we all saw that. Everyone gets that one free space. The next square says that you apply to win 10k from something called Fetch. Have your identity stolen. Yeah, it happened to me, unfortunately. And finally this square says, you start to feel bad for Travis Kelce before remembering he's Travis Kelce. Yeah, I got bingo. Another great Super Bowl. Stick around, we'll be right back with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Everyone, come on back. Our first guests are coming off a historic super bowl win on Sunday night. One is the Super Bowl MVP. The other is NFL's Offensive Player of the year. Please welcome from the super bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Happy NBA. Come on, bud. Welcome, welcome. Champs. Super bowl champs. How does it. How does it feel? What do you feel like when the. When the confetti is coming down? You're holding the Lombardi trophy right there.
Jalen Hurts
I've just been telling people, I was trying to process it, you know, and I think when you go into that, you don't know how you're going to feel. You know, you watch as a fan sports and championship games and these iconic moments and you see the greats and how they handle it and their excitement and the. The rush of emotions. And all I could think about was all the hard work. All I could think about was all the effort. And to see my reflection on that, on that. On the chrome trophy in that mirror.
Jimmy Fallon
That's pretty cool. I didn't even think about that.
Jalen Hurts
It was pretty good feeling.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Because this is a rematch of. You were on the team with the Eagles a couple years ago when the Chiefs won.
Jalen Hurts
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
And. Yeah. And sorry to bring that up. Yeah. Yeah. We'll get back to celebrating you. But I know this. Cause I read this. Could you tell everyone what was on your phone? Your phone, background.
Jalen Hurts
Well, see, I'm not tripping that you brought that up because it's just like a little edge, you know?
Jimmy Fallon
Motivation.
Jalen Hurts
Yeah. So I know there. I guess people anticipate me to change it. It's just a wallpaper, but it's a humble reminder for me.
Jimmy Fallon
What is it a picture of it?
Jalen Hurts
It's a picture of the first one. You're walking. Walking off the field and the Crazy thing is, I told them I might have to start finding these people in there. They taking pictures of my phone and the team meeting and stuff, you know?
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Cause it's become a big story. Yeah. So every time you open your phone, you're motivated, you go, I gotta beat these dudes.
Jalen Hurts
Well, I tell you. I tell you, every time I open my phone, I don't just sit there and have this flashback of a moment.
Jimmy Fallon
I'm happy I asked you. Yeah.
Jalen Hurts
Make sure it's not some psychotic thing or anything like that.
Ken
No.
Jimmy Fallon
Okay, good. Have you changed your background to wallpaper since?
Jalen Hurts
No, no, it's going to remain. It is. There's no urgency to change it. I'm just taking it a day at a time.
Jimmy Fallon
All right, good. Next time you come back, let me know what the wallpaper is. All right. There's an update.
Jalen Hurts
Maybe we could take a picture.
Jimmy Fallon
We'll take a picture, me and you. Yeah. I'll be motivated for you. Yeah. Saquon, not only was Sunday your first super bowl win, but it was also your birthday. Congratulations. Happy birthday. Here you are with your kids after the win. What are they more excited about? Are they more excited about the super bowl win, or are they more excited about dad's birthday?
Saquon Barkley
I think it was a combination of both. Just, you know, being there, celebrating with my family before the game. You know, we had a. That day, we had a daddy daughter dance, me and my daughter. So it was able to get canceled and move to March 14th. So I'm able to have that. That moment with her. And, you know, before the game, she told me now that the game's canceled, she wants to win the Super Bowl a little bit more. So probably the super bowl win.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, my gosh. Well, you actually. You brought a voicemail that your daughter left you before the Super Bowl. Take a listen to this. Hi, Daddy, it's Jada, and we're going to text you for your big game. I really, really, really hope we win. And, Daddy, really, I'm really thankful that you've been caring for your whole family. And I know you're going to win, but if you don't, that is okay. I'll always, always love you. Are you kidding me? That's the cutest message in the world. What a good kid. Jalen, you scored three touchdowns on Sunday. You did by. The first one was doing what people are calling the Tush push. Yeah. Is that what you call it?
Jalen Hurts
It's not what I call it.
Jimmy Fallon
It's not what you call it? No, that's not what I call it. What do you call it?
Jalen Hurts
You know, I'm not gonna say what I call it, but it's not.
Jimmy Fallon
Okay, but it's not. Everybody.
Jalen Hurts
Everybody came up with their own name for it.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Jalen Hurts
The Brotherly Shove, the Tush Push, all these different things. It's not that.
Jimmy Fallon
It's not that.
Jaylen Brown
No.
Jimmy Fallon
Okay.
Saquon Barkley
I was shocked, too, because when I got there, I'd known that the Tush Push, but. But I didn't know if that's what it would be called, but I thought it was called that. And it's not called the Tush Push, actually.
Jimmy Fallon
No. What is your role in the. In the quote unquote tush Push?
Saquon Barkley
I think I have the easiest job, to be honest. I think I'm the one who pushes the tush.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, my Saquon, before you and Jalen became teammates, you'd play against each other when you were on the New York Giants. There's a clip from this past season of Hard Knocks that's been going viral all season. You were a free agent at the time. You know the clip I'm talking about. And this is the Giants owner say that maybe there's a possibility of losing you to the Eagles. But let's take a look at this video. What's the latest? Just on the city quant thing. I just got a text that Chicago's.
Anna Cathcart
Driving the price up and Philly's out.
Jimmy Fallon
I don't know if that's true or not. I'm gonna have a tough time sleeping if Saquon goes to Phil, I'll tell you that. As I've told you, just being honest.
Jaylen Brown
He'S the most popular player we have by far.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Have you heard from the organization since you won?
Saquon Barkley
Yeah. I mean, you know, that clip doesn't really display my relationship I have with that organization from top to bottom. They're the people that brought me in. But after the game, so many guys and people from the organization reached out to me and was super happy to, you know, one for my birthday and see me hold that Lombardi Trophy up because they know the hard work that I put in. So, yeah, just. That's. That clip is in the past, and I'm happy to be an Eagle. And I look at it as, like, Marshall Falk, one of my favorite running backs. You know, he played for the Colts, but he's remembered as a Ram. So now I'm just trying to be remembered as an Eagle.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. And that work. Jillian, this is you post game, by the way. You just got a cigar and you're Just like exhausted. Is that. What are you dealing with there? You're just like. I just gave it all.
Jalen Hurts
Yeah. You know, we went into it and we were talking about making it worth it and leaving it all on the table, no stone unturned. And I think for me, just being able to have that moment, I call that the moment of having happy feelings. You know, just listening to one of my favorite songs and, you know, smoking a good one.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Yeah, you deserve it. Saquon. There's a clip of you shotgunning a beer. A little different, maybe faster than I've ever seen in my life. Let's take a look at this video. This is very short. Wow, that was fast. That was fast. Come on.
Saquon Barkley
I think I actually. I was going to get to my teammate there, Nick, and I think I lost that one, but. Yeah, he beat you. He beat me there.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, my God.
Saquon Barkley
I came in seeing everybody celebrating, partying. You know, back in my day, I did go to Penn State, so I had my party there.
Jimmy Fallon
You know how to do it? Yeah. Well, there are five people here tonight that this super bowl victory would be impossible without. So please welcome the starting offensive line of the Philadelphia Eagles. Lane Johnson. Buc.
Anna Cathcart
Congratulations.
Jimmy Fallon
Come on, buddy. Congratulations. That's right. Come on. Look at that. They love you. They already cried in honor of your super bowl win. I thought we'd all shotgun beers together. Does that sound all right? We can do this. Yeah, everyone's got two of them. Oh, you go in there.
Saquon Barkley
I need to hold to be a little bit.
Jalen Hurts
Oh, I ain't doing it.
Jimmy Fallon
You got that one.
Jalen Hurts
There you go.
Jimmy Fallon
All right. I don't know who can go the fastest, but. All right. I'm gonna try my best. All right. Congratulations to The Philadelphia Eagles. 1, 2, 3. Congrats on being super bowl champions. Jalen hurts, Saquon Burpee. The offensive line of the Philadelphia Eagles, everybody. We'll be right back. One more to Nigel. Stick around. Fantastic. Our next guest is the reigning NBA Finals MVP and a four time all star with the Boston Celtics. He's the founder of the new performance line 741, which is available now. Please welcome Jaylen Brown. Thank you so much for being here. Welcome. It's a big day for champions here. The Tonight Show. Yeah. You're doing incredible things both on and off the court. Let's start with on the court. You're coming off of your first NBA championship. The Celtics are the reigning champ. Congratulations.
Ken
Appreciate you.
Jimmy Fallon
You were also named the NBA Finals mvp and you were just named an NBA all star for the fourth time. Oh, my God. Congratulations. How does that all feel?
Ken
It feels good. Feels great.
Jimmy Fallon
Busy, huh?
Ken
Definitely busy. A lot of work. Faith, consistency, and hard work pays off, though.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Do you like the. The All Star Game and being an All Star, I mean, that's kind of.
Ken
It's a blessing. I think it's a lot for the fans, and they'll be able to see some of the best talent in the world all come together. So.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, I almost feel like you should. The All Stars should be given a week off because they put the work in, you know, they're so good.
Ken
You know, that. That actually makes a lot of sense.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, Right. I was thinking about that. Was it last year. Here's a picture of you dunking. You were in the dunk contest, and you dunked over Donovan Mitchell. How many times did you practice that?
Ken
I tried to practice it with Donovan, but he didn't show up. So shout out to Donovan for that. So that was actually my first time.
Jimmy Fallon
What if it went wrong?
Ken
Then we would all have found out together.
Jimmy Fallon
When you play in the NBA, you never know who you're gonna be seeing courtside. And I saw you tweet something that you said. How can I meet Bill Nye the Science guy?
Ken
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon
Why Bill Nye the science Guy?
Ken
I just grew up loving education, and he made learning fun. I know a lot of people probably feel the same way, but.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, great.
Ken
Yeah. Shout out to Bill.
Jimmy Fallon
Then he ended up coming and meeting you. So you actually did meet Bill Nye the science guy. He's the man. What did you. What did you end up talking about?
Ken
So I teach. I do have an MIT fellowship, and I've done lectures at Harvard. So I told him maybe we can do, like, a Bill, not spin off or something. I would love to.
Jimmy Fallon
Really?
Ken
Yeah. I would love to do something in the educational journey. Kind of like pass the torch and kind of take where he left off.
Jimmy Fallon
That's great what you do, but it's really great that you give back. That's one of the reasons why I love you. But also, I want to talk about your new performance line here. This is called 74 1. Look at these. Come on. That's what I'm talking about. They look awesome. And look at these gems, too.
Ken
Yes, sir.
Jimmy Fallon
What do. What does the number 741 mean to you?
Ken
Well, 741 is one of the seven healing frequencies, and it just represents, like, removing negativity and, like, having, like, protective armor and stuff like that. Also, I just like numbers. Like, numbers. You know, Seven, four, and one. You know, why not?
Jimmy Fallon
Sounds good. You know, just rolls off ton. Sounds good.
Ken
Yeah, exactly.
Jimmy Fallon
The company is self funded and self designed. That's a giant undertaking. Why didn't you just sign with the shoe company?
Ken
I think I just wanted to be able to tell the story and just encourage other athletes to, you know, start the journey themselves. Kind of independency, you know, understanding your value to some degree and then also just giving some different options, you know. You know, we have some of the same brands that we've seen for the last 10 years. Hopefully the next 10 years we'll be able to see some different ones emerge.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Good for you. A lot of work. You designed them and everything.
Ken
Yes, sir.
Jimmy Fallon
I mean, these are really cool shoes.
Ken
I gotta get you some gloves like this.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, I gotta get some gloves like that too, by the way. Nice gloves. Yeah, I would rock those as well, man. You kidding me? With my sunglasses as well?
Ken
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon
But you're doing something I think is really cool, by the way, as far as pricing for kids sneakers. Tell everyone what you're doing with that.
Ken
So the kids sneakers, I think is a great, affordable price. It's like 70 bucks.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Ken
The adults is a lot. You know, it's. It's about a 200 right now. But, you know, it's about the kids, you know. Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
Because you were like, hey, it's a smaller shoe. It should be a better price for kids. Yeah. So any parents out there, you can get it. They're like, yeah, 65 bucks. It's fantastic like that. I think this is my size too. If I wear these, do you think I could dunk like this?
Ken
All right. You asking me?
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Ken
So I'm gonna tell you the truth. I'm gonna look you in the eye. Absolutely.
Jimmy Fallon
That's unbelievable. Oh, my God. That's what I'm talking about, my man. Congrats on the new line and the championship and being an all star. Jaylen Brown, everybody. His new performance line 741 is available now. We'll be right back with Anna Katk. Come on back. That's what I'm talking about. Thank you, Talisha. Our next guest is a very talented actress who stars in the hit series XO Kitty. Season 2 is streaming now on Netflix. Please welcome Anna Kastcar. Anna, welcome to the show.
Anna Cathcart
Thank you so much for having me.
Jimmy Fallon
I'm so nice to meet you and I'm so happy I got to meet your.
Anna Cathcart
Yes. Oh, my gosh. They're so, so excited to be here. They literally found out and we're like, we have to book off work. They flew here just for this. They're so excited.
Jimmy Fallon
Really? That was the best. I love meeting them. I love that your family, very supportive.
Anna Cathcart
Who trans? We're who trans of you. So this is like a dream for me to be here. I honestly cannot believe it.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, good. No, I love you. I know that. I was talking to your dad. Your dad's a big fan of the Voice as well.
Anna Cathcart
He is. It's like his favorite show in the world, which is very funny. Cause he's the last person to ever be a singer, like, ever. But for his birthday a few years ago, I brought him to the Voice, which was so amazing. And then my whole family was jeal. So we went back all together this year. It was great.
Jimmy Fallon
And did they play it cool?
Anna Cathcart
I think they know I want them to play it cool, so they've learned how to. But I know they're freaky on the inside, especially my dad, which just brings me joy. But, yeah, this is very similar to this, honestly.
Jimmy Fallon
All right, good. Let's get into you here. Now, you've been acting 10 years now.
Anna Cathcart
Yes. Crazy.
Jimmy Fallon
That's 10 years. When did you realize that you got the bug? You want to do this for a living?
Anna Cathcart
I mean, Zendaya has always been truly. It sounds silly, but, like, she is someone who. When I grew up, I was watching Disney Channel all the time. Like, every show. I, like, memorized their lines. I loved it so much. And I always say I liked Zendaya before, she was like, Zendaya. Like, before she was like, who she is now. She was just Rocky Blue on Shake It Up Chicago. And I loved her.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, my God. Shake it up, man.
Anna Cathcart
Shake it up is like. It raised me. It, like, made me want to honestly be an actor. And I had her poster up on my wall, and I just. I thought it was so cool, but I never thought I could actually be an actor. Like, it feels like wanting to be an astronaut, wanting to be a superhero. I'm like, no one becomes an actor. Like, it didn't feel real or reachable. So I still am always like, how did I get here? Like, very crazy.
Jimmy Fallon
No, you're very good. Yeah. And Zendaya, I love that it's a good idol to have hope to meet her one day.
Anna Cathcart
She's so cool.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, yeah, she is cool. Well, the show has gotten so popular. Is there anyone that are fans of you that you're surprised that they're fans and you're like, oh, I didn't know you watched yeah.
Anna Cathcart
Oh, my gosh. Okay. So honestly, recently, I was at the Knicks game and I was like, courtside, Knicks game. Which already. I was like, this is crazy. I was trying to play it cool. And I was in like that fancy little suite where you eat prime rib and try and be normal. And someone tapped and turn around, and it was Adam Sandler. And he was like, I'm so sorry to bother you. I just had to say hi. I was like, you're not bothering me at all. I was like, this is insane. And he was like, my daughter's a huge fan. And I met his daughter Sunny. She was so sweet.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, she's great.
Anna Cathcart
And yeah, that was like. So I was like, adam Sandler and his family know what this show is and know me. Like, that was really weird to me. It was crazy.
Jimmy Fallon
That's fantastic. I love. He's the nicest guy. Yes. He's the funniest guy. You were telling me backstage too, about Zendaya. You were like. Cause the show Xo Kitty was the number one show on Netflix. And you were saying something. You said something. Do you remember what you said? It was very funny.
Anna Cathcart
One of my best friend loves Zendaya as well. And she was like, dude, you're number one on Netflix, which means no matter what their algorithm is, you're on their Netflix screen. She was like, you're probably on Zendaya's tv and she doesn't even know. But, like, the fact that you were there in her living room, I was.
Jaylen Brown
Like, that is so cool.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, that is so fun. I'll tell you. You filmed Xo Kitty in Seoul?
Anna Cathcart
Yeah. Yes, in Seoul.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. And did people start recognizing you over there?
Anna Cathcart
Yeah, we had this really crazy day on set that honestly, like, everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. And we started shooting at 2 in the morning. So we wanted this big sunrise moment. But it was pouring rain, so there was no sun. And there was. We didn't want it to look like it was raining on camera. So we had people with tarps over us, like literally running alongside us. Cause it was a walk and talk. So we were like following the camera. It was crazy. Then sirens started going off because there was a flood warning.
Jimmy Fallon
What?
Anna Cathcart
So we were like, everyone was evacuating. We went inside, we came back later. It was. It was brightly sunny, same day, tried to continue shooting, and there was what looks like a protest happening right where we were shooting. It could have been a parade, but there was lots of people with signs, and they didn't look happy per se.
Jimmy Fallon
So I Believe it was probably a protest. Yeah.
Anna Cathcart
Then there was also a live band because there was, like, a music festival. I'm not even kidding. Like, in the exact same spot. We kept shooting. But because all this was going on, there were so many people. We were literally trying to shoot anyway. And they all started watching. People started videoing it and, like, being like, this is ex. Okay, this is happening. It was this big scene. It was the last scene of the whole season. And I grabbed Mino's hand. Like, Kitty grabs love and trust hand. So I was like, are they. Does this mean something? And that was posted on TikTok, and there was millions of views being like, this is a spoiler. This was what happened. But because not shockingly, it was such a mess of a scene, we had to cancel. We had to reshoot it later. So the whole thing was shells. We never saw that scene. And now people are making up theories of, where was that one clip we saw on TikTok? It's not in the season. There must be a secret episode coming. Or like, oh, it's because season three is confirmed. We saw that in. I love that these people are so invested. It makes me so happy. But I'm like, you are fully just lying. Like, what?
Jimmy Fallon
So that scene is just done. It's scrapped.
Anna Cathcart
We reshot it. So the same kind of dialogue is happening, and now it's in a garden in a totally different week that we shot it. Cause it was just such a mess. But I think it's so funny how people are like, I'm setting the record straight. There's no secret episode.
Jimmy Fallon
There's no secret episode. That's it. Yeah. All right, good. It's good to clear it up. What is going on in season two?
Anna Cathcart
Season two. So Kitty went through a lot in season one, and she went with, like, this mission, and everything kind of got turned upside down, and she figured out some new parts of herself and her sexuality, and that was a big part for her. And then different new. Like, a new journey with her mom. And her mom passed away when she was little, so she was kind of finding out all these missing pieces. And season two, she enters it very determined to, like, I'm gonna have a chaos free semester. I'm gonna lean into this new part of myself and figure out what this means. And the, like, no chaos lasts five minutes. Like, it's. Wherever Kitty goes, chaos follows. And that's why we love her. But, yeah, there's a lot of ups and downs. And I think it's. It's, like, bigger and better than season one for sure. And it feels that way. And it felt that way when we were shooting it. So it's exciting to see people think the same thing.
Jimmy Fallon
It's a big hit. Congratulations. Anna Cathart. Season 2 of XO Kitty is streaming now on Netflix. More Tonight show after the break. Stick around, everybody. That's great. Our next guest can be seen at the Vermont Comedy Club February 20th through the 22nd. Please welcome the very funny Leslie Leo. Hello.
Jaylen Brown
Thank you. Thank you. Oh, I love this positive energy. I need this right now in my life. I ran into a guy friend, and the first thing he said to me was, whoa, Leslie, you lost weight in your face. I was like, that's not how compliments work, okay? Compliments are supposed to be general, not specific. You're supposed to say, hey, good to see you. Not, hey, good to see your neck spin forever. What a brave thing to say. I do think men are very brave. You're very brave with your thoughts. You know, whatever's in here comes out here. It's beautiful. I had an Uber driver who had to comment on me. He couldn't help it. My life was in his hands. But he turned around with his entire body just to look at me and say, your voice doesn't match your face. I was like, could you focus on the road? So those aren't the last words I hear. But luckily, I am a woman in my 30s, which means I am too tired to care what people say. No time. Too sleepy to care. I used to care when I was younger. I cared so much, I would get all dolled up and dressed up. Every time I left my house, people would check me out. It was flattering. Now when people look at me, it's rude. I get upset. You know, I'm like, hey, what are you looking at? You like what you see? This is what it looks like to love yourself. Take a picture. You like that? You like that? This your thing? Is this your thing? You like watching a woman eating chilaquiles alone? I am enough. That's what these sweatpants say. Okay, that isn't I am enough. I'm just. I'm tired. I'm tired of everything. I'm tired of socializing and talking to new people because everyone just wants to talk about their favorite show. That's all you are. And you are only as interesting as the last show you watched. I was talking to a guy at a party, and he asked me if I had seen the show Severance, and I said, no, I haven't checked it out yet. And then we just stopped talking. We stared at the floor in a panic. It was the entire disgusting interaction. I was like, I left my house for this? I could be home right now watching Severance. But no, I gotta be here with you while you push your show on me. Everyone has to push their show on me. It's so intense. Like, you have. You have to watch Severance. I'm like, I'm a grown woman. I don't have to do anything you say. I can eat chilaquiles whenever I want. It's a breakfast food. I googled it so many times to be sure. I'm like, it's 8:00am like, how early? Chilaquiles. Okay. Like, how? It's just so. Everyone's so intense with their show. Everyone pushes their show on me. You have to watch Severance. It's always the guy. Like, you gotta stick with it. You gotta stick with it. It picks up in season two. I'm like, when does this conversation pick up? When do you develop as a character? My gu. I'm too tired. I'm too tired for this. And I don't. I don't have kids, and I'm tired and I'm undecided on kids. And I'm. I look to parents for inspiration. But you're not helping me decide, because I'm watching you. I can tell you're struggling. I've seen you from afar. There is a video on the Internet circulating. I know people know this video. Parents, to stop their babies from crying, are throwing ch. Did you hear that? Did you hear that? Slices of cheese on their baby's face to stop them. They're throwing cheese. And you're clapping, and you're clapping for this. You're an accomplice. Don't clap. Don't clap for this. It's not. They're throwing cheese. And sometimes it's a toss. Sometimes it's a game of cornhole. Like, it's cute. It's a toss. But then other times, it's like an overhand throw. Like, okay, it's a throw. And the scary thing is it works. The babies stop crying on impact. You know, they stop, but there's no science behind it. No one's study. It's not. No one's like, oh, the texture of the provolone calms the baby. It's not the cheese. It's the shock on the baby's face as the cheese slowly melts away. And they look at their parents like, you're gonna raise me. Oh, okay. And this is not in the parenting books. There's no book called the Mozzarella Method. It's not in the books. You're clapping, but I don't know. And you realize these cheese babies are gonna grow up. They're gonna grow up, they're gonna fall in love, they're gonna date, and they're gonna marry. How do you think they're gonna resolve conflict in their relationship? This is all they know. They've seen it work. This is all they know. Mid argument, their partner's gonna be vulnerable. Just expressing themselves. Like, I just feel like when I. You forget our plans, you don't see me. And then, bam. Pepper Jack. Okay. I'm Leslie Liao. Thank you so much.
