Trump and Elon's relationship blew up faster than a SpaceX rocket. You can tell Trump is really mad at Elon because earlier today he was seen driving a Prius. And that's not true. Yep. Trump said he hasn't felt this betrayed since McDonald's started putting Apple slices in Happy Meals. Like, what is going on? Yep. Trump is now feuding with Musk. It's orange versus white. I said it very quickly as I was mumbling for my acceptance speech, because I actually got stuck in the rain. I got stuck in traffic. I Almost didn't even make it to the receipt.

Thank you so much. And once I saw Mariah Carey, I knew I was gonna win because I had this whole idea in my mind of, like, the butterfly and that metamorphosis, and she is the butterfly. I knew I had to get it.

Titled because I'm, like, so in love with every. You know, what I do. It's like when I wake up and life happens daily. It's constant inspiration, and I can't help but write it down.

What was the first song? What was the first song that you wrote?

[Miley Cyrus]

Something Beautiful was the first song that I wrote on this record. And it became, again, this compass for me where I knew that this was the path that I was meant to be journeying on right now. And so I just cleverly titled my last album in the Summer Vacation, so then I could be on vacation, and it would look like that was a part of my aesthetic. So all I had to do was take pictures of me in a bathing suit and be like, esv. And that was the promo.

Oh, my God.

I know. And all my fans were like, you're not promoting this album. I was like, I'm making the next one.

People, calm down. I've got it.

I'm wanting the illusion I got it.

But what's cool about this is. And I think I heard this. I don't know if it's a rumor, whatever, tmz. But something said that Harrison Ford told you what to kind of do with this album.

Well, I saw Harrison Ford at the Disney Legends event, and he asked me, what's up?

You're both Disney Legends.

We were both Disney Legends.

And I've known him for a while, so when he asked me, what's up? I told him, you know, I'm not the person. Like, oh, I'm good. You know, it's like, what's up? I'll show you a PDF. I got out the document, and I was like, well, this is what's up. This is what I'm working on. And I showed him, and it was actually titled Somewhere Beautiful. And it was a tour in all these magical places that I can enjoy these shows as much as the audience. So deep in the forest and, you know, in front of the pyramids, he looked at it and goes, looks expensive. Not sure if it's worth it. And walked out.

He's not wrong. So I went and told management, you're not gonna believe what Harrison Ford said. He goes, that's what we've been trying to tell you for years.

The quarter of a budget version is. I shot this at the Paramount lot, and it's a lot cheaper than shooting at the Pyramids. But it's got, you know, it's got the same spirit.

Let's talk about the new season of nine Perfect Strangers. Man, oh, man, you're hitting with some heavy hitters here and holding your own. You're great. Thank you. But Christine Baranski's in this. How is Christine Baranski? She's fun, right?

She's the most wonderful. Not to be hyperbolic, but she's truly, like, the most wonderful woman I've ever. She's everything you want Christine Baranski to be. Plus, more like dirty, dirty mind. Like, great hang.

She's amazing. I had. I had, like, a life moment with her on set. Cause we play a mother and daughter on the show, and we had this one afternoon where we're playing this scene where we're having hallucinogenic drugs administered into our bodies as mothers and daughters do.

Yeah, it's a very modern show.

[Annie Murphy]

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we spent the afternoon. We were in these, like, twin beds next to each other. And, you know, on set, it's a lot of waiting around, and it was tight quarters, and so instead of going back to trailers, we just decided to stay in these very cozy beds while.

The crew worked around.

[Annie Murphy]

And at one point, she just leans over to me and she's like, you know the best way to make use of your time right now, darling? And I said the first thing that came into my mind, which was Kegels. And she goes. That's exactly what I was going to say.

Wow. For those of you, that's a really. I didn't think you were gonna go there.

[Annie Murphy]

For those of you who don't know what Kegels are, it's an exercise that one does to strengthen one's pelvic floor. And you tighten and then release.

And so we spent.

So we spent the afternoon with her just lying there, and she'd go, Darling, 45 seconds, go. And then they just, like, lie in the bed quietly doing Kegels with each other.

And how about the great Nicole Kidman? Oh, my God, she's just the greatest. Well, you know, the greatest.

No, it was.

How cool is it to be around Nicole Kidd?

It's bizarre. It's a bizarre experience. Like, she's otherworldly.

She's a pro, ma' am.

She's such a pro. And she's so kind of mercurial. And she Can't. I don't know how. She is alive. Like she works so much. She's just.

She's also a producer on this.

She's producing, she's doing all these jobs and so she can act. Oh, my God. And she does every take something completely new, every single take. So you're constantly like just trying to keep up with her. And it was. It was amazing.

No, I just do the same thing every time.

So the show, it's the second season of Nine Perfect Strangers. It's about a whole bunch of quite privileged people who decide to go to this retreat, this therapeutic retreat to fix their trauma by ingesting psychedelics.

Yeah, yeah. And this is, by the way, it's gorgeous setting.

Oh, gosh. We shot a bunch of it in studio in Munich and then we got to go like into Austria, into the Alps and shoot there. And it was such a, like, it was pinch me moments every single day.

Six months. We were there for six months.

Lived in the Alps for six months.

A couple months ago when I first, you know, posted the Moonbeam Ice Cream.

I was like, you know, what is Moonbeam ice Cream? Like, nobody knows. I don't know. And so, you know, I was like, you know, maybe it'd be nice to kind of spark some just interest.

Internet chatter.

[Benson Boone]

Yeah. Maybe I like, hire a couple people to be like, yo, what is Moonbeam ice cream? Why is this guy singing about Moonbeam ice Cream? Where did he come up with this? I kind of like, you know, get.

Into it, play a little bit. Yeah. Try to have.

[Benson Boone]

So it went downhill quick, you know, People started doing like, oh, what's Moonbeam ice Cream?

[Jimmy Fallon]

I hate Benson Moon. Wow. Really drove off a cliff. There you go. Wow. That fast.

But, you know, if I'm being honest, like, it worked pretty well. Yeah, it worked pretty well.

That's a great question. So I write pretty much everything. Me and this guy Jack, and I love Jack, but we are very unserious when we're together. Like, when we work. Even, like, the song I'm singing is Night at the Mama Song. It's a very serious song. But, like, that song session, the day we wrote that song, like, you would have thought we were trying to not write the mama song.

Oh, really?

[Benson Boone]

Do something. Something way better. But, like, we just. We connect so well, and we were just kind of having a day. It was like a weird, you know, kind of a whimsical day. I've never used that word before.

[Jimmy Fallon]

[Benson Boone]

But, you know, as we get on through the session, we kind of came to, like, what's called writer's block. And it's when you have a melody already, but, like, you cannot think of a lyric. You just beat it up and beat it up. And Jack's sitting there, and we're kind of goofing off, and he just goes, you know what if you just did this? And it looked like he was gonna say something really good. And we've been sitting there for an hour. I'm like, this is it. And here he goes. Moonbeam ice cream Taking off your blue jeans. And I was like, you know what?

You know what? Sometimes you gotta go with it at this point. It's a placeholder, at least. Yeah, it's a placeholder.

How. No, it's not. There's no way. But how'd you come up with the title American Heart?

[Benson Boone]

That's a great question. There's one song on the album called Young American Heart. And to me, that's, like, the inspiration track of the whole album. And it's about me and my best friend. I grew up with this guy, so I have. Okay, this is gonna be like. Why are you saying this? I have four sisters, okay? This dude Eric, he's got five sisters. And we met, like, when I was six months old. He's like the first dude I literally remember and.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Six months. Yeah.

[Benson Boone]

And so, like, we. We didn't have any brothers, but we just had each other. And that's kind of a good line. Yeah, please. I'll take a sec. But when we were younger, we got in a car accident. And it wasn't like a typical car accident. We were driving in a field. We were driving his backyard and we flipped the car. And in that moment, I was young. I was maybe like 15 or 16. And when you're 15 or 16, you're never like, oh, wow. It would really suck to die right now because you don't even think about death. You're like, 15.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You're invincible.

[Benson Boone]

Or 16. Exactly. And in that moment, it was like the first time in my life that I was like, oh, my gosh. Like, this dude, my best friend, he means everything to me. I don't want to die right now. A young American. So it's not like a. It's not meant to be some patriotic. Like, this is who I voted for. It's more like it's me as Benson Boone, the little kid that grew up with a dream to just like continue and doing things that I love with the people that I love. And that's kind of. It kind of sets the tone for the album, in my opinion.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah. Well, it's sold out in nine seconds. No, but this is like, this is by far the biggest tour I've ever done. And it's a big moment for me, for people to just know who I am. You go to the show and this is by far the best performance I will ever up to this point in my life put on. And it's a full on show. I might even change my outfit during the show, which I'll be, yeah, that's a big deal. But I'm really excited to just put myself into the world and let people just see who Benson Boone really is.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah. And will there be, I have to ask, will there be a flip? This is insane. Benson Boone, you flipped off the piano. You flipped off things. I go, dude, what is this flipping thing? And it looks so. It's scary to me again, as your friend.

[Benson Boone]

Yeah.
