Brenda Song
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon
Ah. I love you. Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself. Welcome, everybody.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Thank you.
Mick Carroll
Welcome.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Well, guys, everyone was talking today about how bad the security was at the White House Correspondents Dinner. The good news is everyone is safe. And I think they've now secured. They said from now on, they're gonna put Trump in a locked deodorant case. Like cbs. They'll never get into that thing. No. Yeah. When the incident occurred on Saturday night, Oz the Mentalist was performing for Trump. Trump looked at him like, yes, I did have the 6 of diamonds, but why didn't you predict this? This is that. What is. What do you. But Trump wants the event to be rescheduled within 30 days. And FBI Director Kash Patel said he expects the security at the next dinner to be entirely different because by then he'll be fired.
Jimmy Fallon
Completely different.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Well, some more news from Washington today. King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in the US to begin a four day visit marking America's 250th anniversary. Apparently, America and the UK are that rare couple who celebrate their divorce.
Jimmy Fallon
We're cool.
Diljeet Dosanjh
How you doing?
Jimmy Fallon
You doing good?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah. Charles actually kicked off his official visit by joining Trump for a military review, a garden party, and a private tea. Yep. There was a huge misunderstanding when Charles invited Trump to tea time and Trump showed up with the golf bag. Yeah. Trump and Charles spent a lot of time together and we actually got our hands on the audio of their private meeting. Listen to this. It's so nice to have you here, Mr. King. Quick question. Have you met Harry Potter?
Jimmy Fallon
What?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
No. Ron Weasley? No. Hermione? No. Hagrid? No. Voldemort? Love that guy? No. Hedwig?
Diljeet Dosanjh
No.
Stanley Tucci
Snape?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
No. That evil blonde kid with the slick back hair? You call me dad? No. Get out. Aw. That adorable little elf who works as a servant? You call me sir? No.
Stanley Tucci
Get out.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Aw.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That old wizard with crazy white hair? Did you call me? Get out. Thank God. Can I go now? Wait, I have one more really important question. The answer is yes. I have met Paddington.
Jimmy Fallon
Yay.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Very interesting.
Jimmy Fallon
Right?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
He wants to know if he knows Paddington.
Jimmy Fallon
Everyone knows Paddington.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Well, some sports news. There was a cool moment in the NBA playoffs this weekend when LeBron James threw his son Bronny the first father Son. Alley oop in NBA history. Here to break it down is our Tonight Show NBA correspondent Mick Carroll.
Jimmy Fallon
Thanks for having me, Jimmy.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Mac time.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
So tell us about this play.
Mick Carroll
It was unbelievable. Early in the second, Lakers up by 10. LeBron grabs the rebound, pushes it up the court, sees his son Bronny streaking down the right wing, throws a perfectly
Jimmy Fallon
placed lob, and bang.
Mick Carroll
My dad never even said he loved me.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Sorry, what was that?
Mick Carroll
That was NBA history, Jimmy. I mean, we're talking about probably the greatest player of all time, still dominating at 41 years old while sharing the court with his actual son. If you don't like that, you're just like my dad when he found my poetry.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You doing okay, Mack?
Mick Carroll
Yeah, I'm doing great, Jimmy. I mean, I think this LeBron Bronny stuff might be bringing up some of my own issues, but I'm a professional, you know, I can watch LeBron set his son a pin down screen without thinking about the time my dad left me in the middle of the woods and said a real wouldn't need a compass. I was out there two months. Jimmy had to learn to speak bear just to survive.
Stanley Tucci
Wow.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I'm. I'm so sorry.
Mick Carroll
No, no, no. Do not be. I wrote a great poem about it. Grr. Roar.
Jimmy Fallon
Grr.
Mick Carroll
Salmon. If you speak bear. It's really beautiful.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I'm sure it is. Look, Mac, not all of us can have LeBron James for a dad, but we can do our best to be a LeBron James for our kids.
Mick Carroll
Amen, brother. You know what? I'm gonna start telling my son I love him every single night just as soon as he finds his way out of those woods.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Oh, come on.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, my gosh. Mac Carroll, everybody. Mac.
Mick Carroll
I miss my bear, dad.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
All right.
Jimmy Fallon
Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Mac Carroll eating a salmon. Oh, no. During his interview.
Stanley Tucci
Wow.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
He had a. Guys, listen to this. The CEO of United Airlines said that they're abandoning their merger proposal with American Airlines because American wasn't interested.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Ooh.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
American released this message about the news. Take a look.
American Airlines Spokesperson
You may have heard that American Airlines isn't interested in merging with United. But just for the record, it's not because we don't like United. It's just we're not ready for anything that serious right now. Like, the chemistry between United and American is there for sure, but American just has a lot going on, you know, with work and stuff, so it's really just a timing thing. But, United, you're great, and we really value your friendship, and we'll probably regret this someday. American Airlines. It's not you, it's us.
Jimmy Fallon
We have a great show. Give it up for the Roots, everybody.
The Roots / Musical Guest
Let's have it. Mr. Onassis. Drop top ribs. My boys can go happen AMC seem so below average. Every one of the king won't go.
Jimmy Fallon
What a show we have for you tonight. What a show.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
He stars in the highly anticipated new movie The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is in theaters May 1.
Jimmy Fallon
Stanley Tucci is here tonight.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You can see her in the hit Netflix series Running Point. Season two is out now.
Jimmy Fallon
Brenda Song is joining us. And he, he is a global music superstar who just kicked off the North
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
American leg of his Aura World Tour.
Jimmy Fallon
Diljeet Dosange is here.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Dilgit, He's. I love him so much. He's been on the show. I think he made his debut on our show here. I think maybe American late night tv. And it is so. His music is so good. Everyone, you're allowed to dance if you want to. Yeah. It is fun. It is contagious. It is so good. I just love him so much. Get ready for Diljeet Dawson, who is on the show tonight. I had a super interesting weekend. I flew to England and I did Saturday Night Live, SNL uk. I did. It's the British version of Saturday Night Live. It's a big hit. It's on sky tv. It's on Peacock here if you want to watch it the next day. It was so fun. They're the most talented cast. Great crew. Everyone's awesome. It was odd. Was it weird? A little bit. Because it's exactly like SNL here, except I don't know anyone and they all speak with a British accent. Yeah. But I did, I did Update. Weekend Update with Anya Magliano and Patty Young. Yeah. So it's there. And they're so talented. We did a bit called. They have a bit called Hand in hand where they hold hands and they talk people through stuff, an issue or whatever. And this was about how America's thankful for England and England's thankful for America. And so we did hand in hand and hand. So I was the third hand. So I. So I was. So I came up from behind the desk, you know, to do my in hand, you know, so I was doing that. So I went out before I go. I was waiting for the guy to cue me so I could sneak so that the audience didn't see that I was behind the desk. Cause I was a surprise. So I went out and I went out five jokes too soon. Oh, that's good. I was sitting under the desk for about 10 minutes. This is. This is a photo of me. That's me there.
Jimmy Fallon
I was so nervous.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I don't know the stage manager. So I was like, I don't want to disappoint anyone, so I'll just go out. So I just crawled out. Man, we had the best time. It was so fun. Shout out to Nicola Coughlin, who hosted the show, and the Foo Fighters, who are musical guests.
Jimmy Fallon
They were fantastic.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I loved it. Thank you for welcoming me. SNL uk. Check it out on Peacock. It's really, really great, Guys. Life can be complicated, but it's not that hard to make it simple. In fact, everything can be broken down into three simple steps. I'll show you what I mean. It's time for three simple steps.
Jimmy Fallon
Three simple steps. Yeah. Three simple steps.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Okay, our first topic is watching the NBA playoffs. Let's break it down into three simple steps. Step one, decide which game you want to watch. Step two, google where to watch it. Step three, sign up for three seven day trials on apps called Spebo, Doopie and Borpo. Very simple.
Jimmy Fallon
Easy.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Very easy. Borpo's great. Very easy. Up next, we have being a waiter. Step one, take a table's order. Step two, wait for them to take their first bite. Step three, Usain bolt to the table and ask, how's everything tasting?
Brenda Song
Just.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I just. I barely. Next up we have conquering your fear of swimming in the ocean. Very simple. Three steps. Step one, get your feet wet. Step two, slowly walk into the water. Step three, feel seaweed. Lightly brush your leg and run out screaming.
Jimmy Fallon
Shark. Shark. Pool, pool, pool.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I'm a pool person. Next up we have getting on your parents wi fi. Step one, ask them for the password. Step two, they say we don't know it. Step three, squeeze behind the TV and read the post. It stuck to the router by the installation guy 12 years ago. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. And finally we have using Facebook Marketplace. Step one, go to the site. Step two, find an item you like. Step three, meet a stranger in a parking lot and buy an air fryer like it's cocaine.
Jimmy Fallon
That's all for three simple stats. We'll be right back with more tonight show. Come on back, everybody.
The Roots / Musical Guest
What up?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
What up?
The Roots / Musical Guest
It's the man. You better know enough. Whether you disapprove or y' all showing love my appreciation. This is but a token of brace yourself. The sky about to open. Promising as my skin tone addict crystal play onyxes. Then I let the beast breathe.
Jimmy Fallon
Our first guest.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
This is an Oscar Nominated and Emmy winning actor who you can see in the highly anticipated movie The Devil Wears Prada 2,
Jimmy Fallon
which is in theaters May 1st. Everyone please welcome Stanley Tucci. There you go. That's what I'm talking about. That is that movie.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Looking sharp, brother.
Stanley Tucci
Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
We love you, Stanley Tucci. I gotta say, before we start this, I'm a fan of your frying pans. Stanley Tucci has his own line of cookware.
Stanley Tucci
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
It's the most gorgeous thing.
Stanley Tucci
Oh, thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I went into Williams Sonoma, which is like my Disneyland.
Stanley Tucci
I know. It's like a museum. I love it.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I don't even need anything. And I go in there and go, oh, man. Maybe I need a spatula. I don't know what it is. Or like a avocado slicer. I don't know. Weird inventions. But then I saw these beautiful pots and pans. I go, that's gorgeous. That was like a work of art. And it's Tucci.
Stanley Tucci
Oh, thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
And I got an omelette pan.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Which is not like, it's got little sides on it.
Stanley Tucci
Little sides?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah.
Stanley Tucci
You mean omelette crepes.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
It's the most gorgeous thing. I brought it home. My wife. It's in our living room.
Stanley Tucci
Does she.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Because it's that gorgeous.
Stanley Tucci
If we're in the bedroom.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
It's not in the bedroom. Yeah. Every now and then. Flip it, flip it. Yeah. Of course.
Stanley Tucci
That's where the spatula is.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You know, it's so funny, I cannot wait for everyone to see Devil Wears Prada, too. It's fantastic. You're great in it.
Stanley Tucci
Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Thank you. Everybody's great. It's funny. It's stylish. It's cool. And I just thought it was funny how art imitates life and life. There was a shot of you and Meryl Streep in Milan. You went to a fashion show.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
In character, though.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
For the movie.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
And you're just. But here's you at the fashion show. Is that Dolce Gabbana?
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Now, is it confusing for.
Stanley Tucci
I was so confused. You're like, no, I'm not even gonna pretend I wasn't confused. I was very confused because I thought, oh, I'm here going to this fashion show. And yet there I'm supposed to be Nigel, this Nigel.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
But luckily there was no yelling Stanley.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah. Well, both. It was like the whole thing was weird.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You're like, I'm not Stanley. I'm Nigel. Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
Hello.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Wake up.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
This is your third film with Meryl.
Stanley Tucci
Streep. Yeah. This is it.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Enough is enough. Enough is enough.
Stanley Tucci
You can only carry someone on your shoulders for so long.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That's right. You know, and Meryl is. Carried you a long way. Yeah, that's true.
Stanley Tucci
That's true.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Where did you first meet? Do you remember meeting? I don't know.
Stanley Tucci
I don't know. We met through mutual friends, I think. Aiden Quinn and Liam Neeson and his late wife Natasha. And then we just became friends and then we ended up doing the Devil Wears Prada. And then she and Nora asked me to do Julia. And Julia.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That's right.
Stanley Tucci
And then. Yeah. We've always been friends.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I saw somewhere you said that she's. It's. It's challenging or it's not fun to play charades with her. It's not fair.
Stanley Tucci
No, she's amaz. No, she's too good.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
She's too good. That's right. It's not fair to play charades with Meryl Streep. Is it because of her acting or guessing everything?
Stanley Tucci
She's just brilliant. She has a mind that she's brilliant.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah. Did you guys always know you were gonna do a sequel to this?
Stanley Tucci
No, no, no. There were mutterings for like 20 years. And then, you know, as we got closer to the 20th anniversary, it seemed to. People were like. But eventually it happened. But I'm glad it happened now, because part of the story, when you see it, you'll see part of the story is about where magazines are today, where journalism is today. Wow. And where people's jobs are today.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah.
Stanley Tucci
Right. That is with AI and all that stuff. So that's very much a part of the film.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
It's become. It has, like a cult following to it as well, this film. It's super fun. The Internet should thank you for all the quotable memes and lines. Gird your loins.
Stanley Tucci
Yes. Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You had. You came out the. Gird your loins. Was that in the original script?
Stanley Tucci
No, no, no. It was David Frankel who came. We came up with a list of them and David was the one who came up with that. I had a few of them which didn't make it in because, you know, it'd have a different rating.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah, of course. Yeah.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
And after making the first movie, Emily Blunt now has become your sister in law.
Stanley Tucci
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You're married to her sister, Felicity. Beautiful. I met her backstage. Congratulations.
Stanley Tucci
Yes. Thank you.
Mick Carroll
Isn't that.
Jimmy Fallon
Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Amazing how that comes about.
Stanley Tucci
No, it's. The whole thing is weird. Yeah. No, but it's also so wonderful. I Love, Emily. She was my friend. She was only 22 years old when we did the film. I was 75.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That's right.
Stanley Tucci
You know, but yeah, yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I heard that on your wedding day, you had. Instead of a wedding cake, you had wheels of cheese.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah, yeah. Because Felicity and I, we don't like sweet things. We just like. I've never heard of having cheese.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon
It's genius.
Stanley Tucci
Cheese.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Everyone likes cheese.
Stanley Tucci
Pasta, meat. You know, you can throw in a macaroon every now and then.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Every now and then.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah. I don't care.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
How do we set up the sequel? What could people look forward to?
Stanley Tucci
I think they can look forward to having a good time understanding where we are in the world today with regards to journalism and such. But really, I. I just hope that, you know, the world right now. Right now, as we know, is in a difficult place. So I think it will be a wonderful release. A bit of escapism.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah, exactly. Go have a party.
Jimmy Fallon
Watch us. Stanley Tucci, everyone. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is in theaters May 1st. Brenda Song joins us after the race.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Turn Around.
Jimmy Fallon
Our next guest is a talented actress
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
starring in the hit comedy series running point. Season 2 is out now on Netflix. Please welcome Brenda Song.
Brenda Song
Sorry for my weird penguin hug.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
No, I love my hug. Oh, my God, you look gorgeous. Welcome to the Tonight Show. Thank you so much for coming on. People are so buzzing that you're here today because they love Running Point. But also, you're like a Disney legend.
Jimmy Fallon
Let's be honest. Come on now. You are a legend. Here you are at the Suite Life with Z.
Brenda Song
Oh, youth collagen.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Oh, please. No. You look the same. Do people give you quotes when they see you on the street and yell stuff at you?
Brenda Song
It's so funny. Cause when we were on this show, there was a lot of yay me. Which was sort of my catchphrase, yay me. But now I'm getting the prindle a lot.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
What was the prindle in?
Brenda Song
So my character, London Tipton, was learning how to drive, and Mr. Mosby, who's basically her pseudo father, was teaching her to drive. And he asked her to move out of park or whatever. And she's like, oh, you mean the prindle. What is the prindle? And she looked down, and she's like, the gear shift. She's like, park, reverse, drive, neutral, low. So she called it the Prindle.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Prindle. Oh, my God.
Brenda Song
Yeah. And I've had so many people as
Jimmy Fallon
of late, like, yo, print the prindle yeah.
Brenda Song
No, truly, they're like. And it's like really kind of, like really, really sweet, overwhelming. That has sort of stuck to people all these years. Because it's been 20 something years since the show. I know.
Stanley Tucci
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
But maybe they should have a name for that section of the car.
Brenda Song
It should be called the Prindle.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
The Prindle.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
We should actually.
Brenda Song
I'm just saying.
Jimmy Fallon
Where's the Prindle?
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Oh, the Prindle's right there.
Brenda Song
Yeah, exactly.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah, exactly. In reading up on you, I learned a couple things that you were a super fan about. Can we talk about your super fandom of the Backstreet Boys?
Brenda Song
Oh, don't even get me started.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Let's talk.
Brenda Song
This is so. I mean, I love them so much. My first screen name was BS Brenda Song. BSB Rocks with an X. Like, they are my favorite band. And I saw them recently at the Sphere, and it was life changing.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
You did? Yeah. I heard. It's a great show. Here's you. This is with Macaulay. We love him.
Brenda Song
Truly. Maybe one of the most incredible moments of my life, aside from the births of my children. I was literally shaking in this photo. I was like. Mac was like, you're shaking. I was like, I know I'm shaking. I was so overwhelmed. I was. I cried, you know, I cried, you
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
know, all the jam.
Brenda Song
Oh, every lyric. And I don't. Like, we went into this. Mac knew I was a Backstroke Boys fan, but I don't think he realized how hard of my fandom. Like, how hard it hits. Cause he's like, oh, you know, every lyric. I was like, every lyric, every beat drop. Don't even get me started.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I mean, come on.
Jimmy Fallon
You're a real deal.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
They are great.
Brenda Song
They're the best. That's truly me in my. Out in the wild.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yes, that's you out in the wild. Good to have fans like you. You're also a devoted Lakers fan.
Brenda Song
Yes, huge, huge Lakers. Huge Rams fan.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
And when. When did that begin?
Brenda Song
Lakers fan. Basically, in 96, when Kobe got drafted. I grew up a Chicago Bulls fan. My dad loved Michael Jordan, so I grew up watching the Bulls.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Oh, yeah.
Brenda Song
But in 96, when Kobe got drafted, I just. I don't know what it was about him. I just loved him. 20 years till 2016, when he retired, I basically watched 82 games, whether it was on the TV or on the radio with Stu Lance and Chick Hearns. I mean, they had to put a monitor underneath the bleacher set at the Suite Life so I could watch the games. Cause I was so obsessed, really. And then when Kobe retired, I was so devastated, I literally had to take a break from basketball. And then I did.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
The sport is no longer not the same.
Brenda Song
And that's how I found the Rams is. I was. I had been sports deprived. And Mac and I started dating. And one Sunday morning, I walked into the living room, and I was like, what are you doing? And he was watching a Rams and Seahawks game.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Had a tough time saying that.
Brenda Song
There you go. And I was like, what's football? And then he sort of walked me through this, sort of, like, you know, all these downs. And I was like, it's a game of inches. This is. How did I not know this? Had I been, like, die hard, Like, I mean, my goal is to be, like, Chris Shula's assistant, our defensive coordinator's assistant.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Really.
Brenda Song
It's my, like, it's my goals. I would leave acting in a second.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Are your little boys watching sports?
Brenda Song
I mean, we love sports so much, we literally have a rolling television that comes out just for basketball and for football. Because they're kids, so, you know, we make them share the tv. If they want to watch something, they have to take turns. But that means mom and Papa doesn't get the TV ever.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah.
Brenda Song
So we roll out this tv, and I've taught my kids how to do the Rams callback. Like, I'll go, whose house? And my kids will go, rams house. So much so that last summer, Mac reproposed to me with the kids. It was very sweet. And I came home, and he had all these flowers and the boys by the front door. And I was, like, kind of confused. And he looked at my boys and he said, okay, guys, what do we practice? What do you say to mama? And my youngest son went, rams house.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
No, what did we practice, Kevin?
Brenda Song
I was like. I was like, good kids. He knows. No, I'm training them well. And I was like, yes, you trained them well.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Let's talk about running point, season two. Congrats, by the way. Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon
Thank you. Right now on Netflix.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
It's very funny. You, our buddy Kate Hudson, who's just so funny and charming and gorgeous. Justin Theroux. Fantastic. What can we say about season two?
Brenda Song
I mean, season two literally, like, it takes off right where season one left off.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
But you don't have to be a basketball fan, dude.
Jimmy Fallon
No.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
To understand this.
Brenda Song
Not at all. And that's the thing. I actually feel like, I hope this show makes you want to watch basketball after watching the show, but it's really fun. Cause that's what I love about a season two is you can dive right into the hijinks because the foundation has been sort of laid and you can just dive into these characters and that's what we do this second season.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That's funny.
Brenda Song
Yeah. Justin Theroux is back. Like with he's back and he throws a wrench in all of Isla Kate Hudson's plans and it's a lot of fun. I'm really, really lucky to be on the show.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
No, they're lucky to have you.
Jimmy Fallon
Come on, Brenda Song, everybody. Running Point Season 2 is out now on Netflix. We'll be right back with more tonight show. Come on. Our next guest is a global superstar
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
in history making recording artist who just kicked off the North American leg of his aura world tour. Please welcome Diljeet Dosan.
Jimmy Fallon
Welcome. Thank you. Thank you. Welcome. Now please, please.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That to you.
Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Come on, enjoy yourself. Yes. Thank you.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Diljeet, welcome back to our show.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Thank you, sir. Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
And thanks for coming back. I gotta tell you, last time you were on the show, it was such an amazing performance. And everywhere I went for the last, for the year after you came on, people were thanking me for having a Punjabi artist on our show. And yeah. And people were like, people were hugging me. People love you, bud. So thank you for coming back.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Thanks for having me, sir.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yeah, we love you. Thank you so much. You added a line to your performance when you were here last time at the end, do you remember what you said?
Diljeet Dosanjh
Mehu Punjab.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Mehu Punjab.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Mehu Punjab. I'm from Punjab. Sorry, guys, my English is very bad. So I'm.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Pardon me, your English, your English is better than my English. What are you talking about?
Diljeet Dosanjh
Pardon my English. Like the painter. Paint. Paint the painting.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yes.
Diljeet Dosanjh
And it's a signature.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yes.
Diljeet Dosanjh
So that's a signature from my side. I'm from Punjab.
Jimmy Fallon
Ah, yeah, Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
I love that you do something similar when you perform at your shows as well.
Stanley Tucci
Right.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Don't you?
Diljeet Dosanjh
Yeah. Punjabi agar, everyone knows.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Is that. What does that mean?
Diljeet Dosanjh
Yeah, they're like Punjabi arrived, you know?
Jimmy Fallon
Yes.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Yeah. Like this stage.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Yes, like this stage.
Diljeet Dosanjh
Even the stadiums never done before. So it's just for the new kids when they come on that stage. They know we here. Now we go from here to another level.

Yeah, that's very important for me. Like the stadium we did in Vancouver, like 1914 when our people came first time in Canada, they didn't allow us to come to Canada. And that stadium is just 2km away from that part. The Nagorn incident. So yeah, so that's a big thing for us now. 55,000 people in the one stadium there. It's just 2km. You didn't allow us to come and now we are here, man. So that's why.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That's amazing. They're actually teaching a course about you at a university in Toronto.
Diljeet Dosanjh

Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
Do you know what they're gonna teach?
Diljeet Dosanjh

Diljeet Dosanjh
My message is just love. Like forgiveness and respect. That's my message.
Mick Carroll
That's it.
Jimmy Fallon (Host/Narrator)
That's it. Yeah. Easy. I saw rehearsal. It's amazing. Get ready. Crank your TVs up. Put it up loud. It is so fun. And you're gonna dance. I was just. Could you. Could you give me a. Could you teach me a move?
Mick Carroll
Which one?
Diljeet Dosanjh
