But first, in order to do that, they had to get rid of everything that was living inside of it. Pigeons, squirrels, Rudy Giuliani. I mean, that had everything out. Yeah, the tree was tied up and whisked out in the middle of the night just like a Venezuelan dictator. Speaking of, President Trump just hosted oil executives at the White House to talk about Venezuela. But the CEO of Exxon told Trump that the Venezuelan market is uninvestable. They're like, sir, we'd rather invest in a beach house in North Korea. They were like, sir, we'd rather invest in Le Booboo dolls. Now they were like, sir, we'd rather invest in straight hockey shows. You get this. After his meeting with oil executives, Trump flew to Florida for a dentist appointment. Hey, if you're gonna get a job looking at Trump's cavities, that's probably the one you want. You know, at the end of the visit, the dentist was like, I think you need a crown. And Trump was like, you read my mind, sister. Some more political news. The Justice Department has now launched a criminal investigation of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell over the cost of renovating the Federal Reserve headquarters. Trump said Powell is not very good at the Fed and not very good at building buildings. I'm not sure Trump's very good at wording words. Keep in mind, until recently, Trump thought the Fed chair is something you could buy at Raymore and Flanagan. Well, guys, everyone's talking about Trump's foreign policy. He's been getting more and more aggressive towards other countries. If you haven't kept up, I'll break it down for you. Things are happening fast. Trump's threatening to invade Greenland just after he invaded Venezuela, or as he calls it, Venezuelas. What's next? Is he gonna go into Africa and go after Namibia or as he calls it, Nambia, or maybe Tanzania, which he calls Tanzania, or maybe even Azerbaijan, or as he calls it, Aberbaijan. After that, he can go for the Middle east, maybe the United Arab Emirates or as he calls it, the United Arab Emirates. It's not every country. Trump will probably let Saudi Arabia and Russia remain independent, or as he puts.

Oh, my gosh, what a game. I couldn't even. I almost said I had a heart attack. And then I came back from a heart attack.

And then survived that. And then it was. Oh, my God.

How. How much of a fan are you?

Are you like, it's bad?

It's, like, borderline unhealthy. Like, it's really. We were watching the game at our house, and I had, like, five friends over, and it's serious. I don't sit down during the first half. Cause I feel like I'm coaching the game, like, and I kind. I feel like I need to be up and down the sidelines. Right.

And so, like, I'm so You're facing with the headset.

Yeah.

[Ashton Kutcher]

And I'm, like, trying to, like, watch the TV from the angle so I can see what the offense is looking at. And Then watch from the other side. See what the defense is looking at. It's great. It's. It's really. It's. It should. I should be on, like, homicide watch every time I watch the game. Cause it's bad. And then it's like, it is. I wear the jersey. I check the jersey schedule so I can ensure that I'm wearing the jersey that the team's wearing.

Oh, my God. And then I think, all right, what.

[Ashton Kutcher]

Players are gonna need the most support in this game? And so then I wear, like, if it's a running. If I feel like the running game needs to get going, I'll wear a running back jersey for the game. So I felt that against Green Bay. Holy mackerel. So I had Gale Sayers on just to bring the spirit of Gale Sayers into the game.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Wow.

[Ashton Kutcher]

So that we quit. It's bad. It's really bad.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You think that you have something to do with the. The way the game is going to end up.

[Ashton Kutcher]

I'm 100% certain that the outcome of the game is based on my. How I'm behaving. And everyone in the room, like, I make. I mean, I'll make people stand still. I'm like, something good happened. Don't move. You got to stay there.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I love that.

I swear.

Superstition.

So the first half, I'm up, I'm pacing, I'm coaching, I'm doing the thing. I sit down at halftime, I'm like, oh, my gosh. This is not going the way we thought it was going to go, guys. Like, we got to. So then I sit down. Then the second half happens. Things start going well. My buddy leaves to go to the bathroom. He's now not allowed to come back in the room. That's correct. So he's got to watch it from the bathroom. From the bathroom, yes. And so he watches it. Then my buddy shows up with pizza. And then we start doing real well because somebody's eating the pizza. I'm like, we all got to eat pizza. Let's go.

Let's order.

Another fiasco.

That's how bad it is. Nah, that's wild.

How is the family? Mila was just on the show a couple months ago. She was fantastic.

She's great. She says, thank you for the sardines.

Jimmy sent like a crate of sardines to our house.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Crate.

[Ashton Kutcher]

Cuz they were talking about sardines. Cuz I got her this tin for our anniversary. Cuz it was the tin.

Anniversary tin. It was very romantic gift.

[Ashton Kutcher]

No, literally. There's so much sardines.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Congratulations.

[Ashton Kutcher]

And now she. I. I was leaving the house, and she's, like, eating the sardines on toast, and she's about to take a bite. I'm like, wait, can you kiss me first?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Kiss me first, then eat the sardine.

[Ashton Kutcher]

It's really. It's.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Did you get away for the holidays or what you do?

[Ashton Kutcher]

No, we went to Iowa. Yeah, we went back home to Iowa to see the family, and we had. We stayed. We stay at an Airbnb because the whole family comes back for the holidays, and there's not enough room in the house for everybody to stay. So we stayed at Airbnb, and the host tried to save our lives, but our lives didn't need to be saving. It was a. It was a real thing. Okay? So Don and Carol, real sweet hosts, and we've stayed in this house before, and it was lovely. They put up 27 Christmas trees in the house, Jimmy. Wow. Yeah. Cause I called. Well, I texted before on the Airbnb app. I was like, hey, do you have. Is there Christmas trees? Kids, holidays? And they're like, my son counted 27 in the house. You'll be good. We got there 27 trees inside the house. For real. Every room had a tree.

[Arden Cho]

It was amazing.

[Ashton Kutcher]

So then we're there, and the first night we're there, it's like an old farmhouse in Iowa. We wake up in the morning, and it's like 50 degrees in the house. It was like, 20 degrees outside. And now it's like 50 in the house. And I wake up, I'm like, man, I think the boiler went out, right? But the boiler was, like, locked up in the basement through, like, a combo lock, and I couldn't access it to fix it. So I text Don, and I'm like, don, it's Christmas morning, and I know this is an inconvenience, but we don't have heat. He's like, oh, man. I was afraid this was going to happen. And I was like, why are you afraid this is going to happen? And so he's like, well, you see all the space heaters that are out? He's like, because we've been having issues with the boiler. I'm like, great. So I turned the space heaters out. Blow breaker in the breaker box. That's also in the basement. I can't access it.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Hey, Don.

[Ashton Kutcher]

So now Don gets there. We're opening presents.

[Audience Member]

We're like, no, we got our whole.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Family and Don's there.

[Ashton Kutcher]

So then we go to help fix the boiler. I'm like, don, just show me what the deal is. The condenser unit. I figured out. So then Don leaves the next morning. We're, like, gonna sleep in. Cause the kids woke up at, like, 4 to make sure Santa came. Of course Santa came. And then so we're like, mila and I are gonna sleep in. So we've got our dogs with us, and we have our dogs. One of our dogs just had ACL surgery on her knee. Her name is Ricki Lake. And this is gonna be important in a minute. Okay. I'm serious.

[Jimmy Fallon]

This dog's name is Ricky Lake.

[Ashton Kutcher]

I love Ricky Lake.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah, me too.

[Ashton Kutcher]

Oh, my God.

I grew up on Ricky Lake.

Anyway, so this is. Oh, by the way, fan it. Ricky Lake. The other one's name is Bernadette Peters. They both coincidentally played the same character in a film at one point in time, but whatever. So point is, Ricki Lake's there, so she's crazy.

Ricky Lake and Bernadette Peters play the same role.

[Ashton Kutcher]

They play the same role. And some. Somebody told us this because we told somebody who? Our dogs. Oh, they played the same role in this.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Bernadette Peters as well. This is great. All right.

[Ashton Kutcher]

Both wonderful.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Oh, yeah. So the dog had surgery.

[Ashton Kutcher]

The dog's in a crate. Because we're on the second story of the house.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yes.

[Ashton Kutcher]

And we don't want the dog running up and down the stairs because just had ACL surgery.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Correct.

[Ashton Kutcher]

So then we wake up in the morning at, like, 8, and I let the dog. Oh, Mila. I went out to Target, and I bought some, like, male nude underwear. You know how, like, when ladies wear the nude underwear? Okay, so I went to Target because I thought it would be funny to get men's nude underwear and show Mila just how appealing these nude underwear are.

[Jimmy Fallon]

All right, this story is not going anywhere.

I thought it was going.

[Ashton Kutcher]

Okay. So I wake up in the morning. We're on the second story. I'm in my nude underwear, and Mila's like, you gotta let the dog out. And I'm like, okay. So I take the dog out of the crate, and all of a sudden, the door downstairs opens. And it's got, like, jingle bells on it. Cause they really decorated it nice. And the dog starts barking and running down the stairs.

[Audience Member]

I'm in my nude underwear, and I'm like.

[Ashton Kutcher]

She's like, go get the dog.

[Audience Member]

And I'm like, I'm going. I'm going. I'm running down. She's like, no, Ricky No. So Don and Carol are standing in our living room, and they're like, looking. And some lady's upstairs yelling, no, Ricky, no.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Audience Member]

And I'm like, ricky. They're running after my nuda. And Don and Carol are like, oh, my God. Carol's crying. She's like, we thought something happened to you guys. And I'm like, why? And they're like, well, we saw the steam thing outside the house, and no steam was coming on, so we thought you might have froze to death. Cause the boiler went out. And I'm like, no, Carol, I'm good. Just get my undies. I'm like, can you leave?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Merry Christmas.

[Ashton Kutcher]

And then she left. And that was our holidays.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Well, that's a great holiday story.

Yeah, that's real.

That's like the real thing, right? Yeah.

Okay, So I invent a super drug that is basically the fountain elite youth. And it makes you the most beautiful version of yourself.

So this drug is wonderful. And except for it's also an std. So the first person who gets this drug, if you get a little, you give the drug away for free. And I don't know that that it's viral. And so now I've got to contain the drug from going viral so I can make money off the drug to sell the drug. One more catch. After about 800 days, you explode. Now you can take it.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So, yeah. Yeah.

You're feel real good looking.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yes, yes. You gotta. For 800 days, you gotta really want.

[Ashton Kutcher]

But you're gonna blow up. And that's another problem. We didn't know that there was an issue with the drug. And so now we gotta sort that out as well. And so my character's trying to get the get sort things out. And meanwhile I got the feds coming after me and all kinds of problems. And so it's like this combo war with me and the feds.

[Arden Cho]

Brilliant.

Over this super drug.

I mean, you think we hang out all the time or fight.

Yeah, but it was just all voiceovers, so you don't. Never in the booth at the same time. Never.

[Ashton Kutcher]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Well, welcome to the show. Congrats on the success. K Pop Demon Hunters. Holy moly. I think it's been watched over like half a billion times or something like 500 million times. It's the biggest film ever in the history of Netflix. It's the biggest film. And last night it won the Golden Globe for best animated feature.

Come on.

You boys. Roomie and Jinu. Arden, when you auditioned originally, it wasn't for Rumi, right? It was someone else.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

Yeah, it's pretty wild. I actually auditioned for Celine and I remember it was August 2022. I just sent a simple voice note. Sounded cool. K Pop Demon Hunters. I like K Pop. I like demon hunting, so why not?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

And then I didn't hear anything. And about a year later I got an email that was like, hey, would you like to coming for a callback for Roomie?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yes.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

And I was like, wait, the lead?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

Would I like to. Yeah, I mean, of course.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You're fantastic.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

I booked a ticket. I flew in from Korea. I was on vacation in Korea. So yeah, flew in, came into Sony. We had like an hour long session and then a month later I was working.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Hyo Sep, what did you feel when you first read the script?

[Arden Cho]

Well, when I first saw the title, K Pop Demon Hunters, I thought, okay, this could be very interesting or very weird because I've never seen K Pop and demon hunting at the same time. Anyway.

[Jimmy Fallon]

No, the world hadn't.

[Ashton Kutcher]

No.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah, we didn't know we needed it.

[Arden Cho]

So when I first read the script, I just thought it was really fun, very playful, and also it had a really good message. So I thought the kids Would definitely love it. And I was a very. I was a big fan of an animation as a kid.

[Jimmy Fallon]

It was amazing. This animation was next level. It is, it's gorgeous.

[Arden Cho]

And one of my favorite was Frozen. And that was like almost my entire childhood, Although I watched it when I was like 20. But yeah, I mean, I know how impactful it is for kids to have these kind of meaningful animations and to be able to be on the other side, to give back the message to kids just felt really special.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Congratulations.

[Ashton Kutcher]

That is cool.

[Jimmy Fallon]

But you're. You're a demon though. I mean, do you consider your character?

[Arden Cho]

Uh, I never really thought of Chinwu as a demon. I think that we all have a little demon inside of us.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And that's a nice way to put.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

It, but demons are never nice.

[Arden Cho]

No, I just thought Chinu was more human than demon. He just made a wrong mistake at the wrong time. And through Chinu, I wanted to kind of send the message that, you know, in order to overcome your mistake, you just gotta accept it, accept who you are and just move on.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Good for you.

[Arden Cho]

Yeah, I like that.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah. Arden, out of all the success, I mean, it is massive. It's global. Do you have any moments like a pinch me moment or something happened to you where you're like, oh, yeah, the coolest thing happened to me.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

So many. But I mean, a couple months after the movie came out, Linda Larkin, the voice of Princess Jasmine, called me.

[Jimmy Fallon]

From Aladdin?

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

Yes, from Aladdin. And we had a two hour phone conversation. I like put it on speaker. Cause the entire first hour I was like, is this really happening? Am I talking with Jackson?

[Jimmy Fallon]

She called you out of the blue. That's so nice.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

She wanted to congratulate me and she actually told me that as a voice actor, she was really impressed with my work with Rumi. And she loved the depth and the layers and all of it. And I was like. I think we were both crying at one point. It was incredible, but I will never forget it. And now I'm like, princess Jasmine called me.

Yes.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's so cool.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

And she was like, you're gonna be a modern day princess.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Oh my God. You're also very talented musicians as well. So I know you did separate covers of the song Free.

The Internet went crazy. What made you want to do a cover?

[Arden Cho]

I was actually in Korea doing a different project and they were doing this whole big promo thing in the States and I just wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to give something back to the fans. So it was just a Little fun project. And I don't know, to be honest, like, deep inside my heart, I kind of wanted to sing in the movie. And I just wanted to say.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I'm just saying. I don't know.

I mean, you got a crazy response. Arden, were you surprised with the.

[Kristen Wiig]

Yeah, I mean, people loved it.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

I think same, you know, we just. We love the movie, we love the music. And right after the movie came out, I have so many friends in K pop, and Cha Eun Woo is a good friend of mine. He literally called me and was like, I love the movie. Would love to do a cover. Should we cover free? And I'm like, should we? Would I.

[Kristen Wiig]

With you? Of course.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]

And so it was our last cover, or his last cover he did before going off to the military. And. Yeah, we hit, like, I think 70, 80 million views collective. It's insane. And I feel like the fans are demanding our cover as well.

Yeah. Let's see.

I want to hear that. Let's go. I wanted to make that happen. Let's do it.

[Ahn Hyo Seop]
