He called over Hugh Grant and Ashton Kutcher and Greta Gerwig and all these people in this tent, and they all came over, and we started doing shots, and Hugh Grant comes over, and, you know, I sort of assumed he was like, oh, no, no, I'll stay out of it sort of thing. I don't know if I know Reggie. Travis introduced me to Reggie. Yeah, he sounds fun, man. There was another concert you went to Last year. I want to talk to you about this because you knew the person who was performing on stage. And this is your brother Chris Hemsworth on drums for Ed Sheeran.

[Liam Hemsworth]

Yeah.

[Steve Higgins]

Now, I know. I know Chris a little bit. I know Ed. Does Chris play the drums?

[Liam Hemsworth]

No, not at all.

[Steve Higgins]

Okay. That's what I was gonna. I was wondering, how did this happen?

[Liam Hemsworth]

I don't know. I asked him that myself. I was like, what do you think?

[Steve Higgins]

And was he good?

[Liam Hemsworth]

Seems like a crazy idea. He pulled it off. So he's literally never played drums in his life, and he's been doing this show where he tries to learn things in a really short period of time.

[Steve Higgins]

Oh, limited.

[Leanne Morgan]

Off limits.

[Steve Higgins]

Yeah. I love that show.

[Liam Hemsworth]

But I'd sort of heard that he was. He'd mentioned it at one like, that he was gonna learn to play the drums and play for Ed, but he texts me on a Friday night after I'm in London and he's in Romania, and he texts me on a Friday night, and he's like, hey, man, I'm playing with Ed tonight. You should fly in. I'm like, you're playing with Ed tonight?

[Steve Higgins]

Like, that's a. Yeah, that's not a thing people say.

[Liam Hemsworth]

He's like, oh, yeah, I'm doing the limitless episode, and I'm playing drums for Ed. You should fly in.

[Steve Higgins]

That's pressure, man.

[Liam Hemsworth]

Yeah. So I flew in, and I literally get there maybe 10 minutes before he goes onto this show, and I come backstage. I'm like, how you feeling? Why did you do this?

[Steve Higgins]

Yeah, like, that's my brother, man. Does he do stuff like that or just worn out with the show?

[Liam Hemsworth]

And I think this show has thrown him into all of these situations, trying to do all of props to him, but, I mean, he's just adding extra stress to his life.

[Steve Higgins]

Yeah, of course he is.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Steve Higgins]

Well, maybe he'll play at your wedding. Who knows? Now he knows how to play the drums. Let's talk about the Witcher. Congrats on this. You're joining the show.

[Liam Hemsworth]

You took over the role.

[Steve Higgins]

Thank you. You go over the road for the next two seasons. That's why you've been working on this for over two years. What are you thinking about when they make the call? Obviously, this show's a hit, but you were actually doing another movie, right, when you got a call?

[Liam Hemsworth]

Yeah, it was the end of 2023, and I was shooting a film called Land of Bad in Australia, and I got a call from my agents sort of out of nowhere, and they were like, well, how do you feel about stepping on to play the Witcher in this series? And Henry Cavill had done three series seasons at that point, and I'm a huge fan of his, and I'm a huge fan of what he did with that character. And they asked if I'd want to come and do the last two seasons. And I'd played the video games eight years before that.

[Unidentified Announcer/Producer]

Me, too.

[Liam Hemsworth]

Did you play it as well? Of course. So you didn't have a girlfriend at that time?

[Steve Higgins]

No, no, no.

[Liam Hemsworth]

You can't be in a relationship or have a job playing that video game.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Steve Higgins]

Busted. Busted. Yeah. Thank you very much.

[Leanne Morgan]

Yeah.

[Liam Hemsworth]

But, yeah, I was a fan of that, and I was really excited about the idea of coming on board.

[Steve Higgins]

I have a picture of you here as a Geralt right there. When you're getting into wardrobe, is it like going into the video game? I feel like. I mean, when you have a sword on your back.

[Liam Hemsworth]

We did a lot of different costume fittings and all that sort of thing, and. And the final sort of thing that we would do before I'd step on set was put the contact lenses in. And the contact lenses, they're yellow. Right. But it gives you tunnel vision. So it was an incredibly immersive experience where it literally felt like you're in another body of someone else, but it blocked out all the cameras, so all you could see was the actor standing in front of you, and it was this really immersive.

[Steve Higgins]

That's a new form of method acting.

[Liam Hemsworth]

Yeah. I think I'm in a way of contacts for everything now.

[Steve Higgins]

Yeah, of course. Yeah. Next time you come on just, like, looking at me. How do we set up what's going on this season?

[Liam Hemsworth]

This season we. So my part of the journey, he's basically just been in a terrible fight with one of the evil figures in this world, and he's severely injured. And this was one of the things that really intrigued me about this part of the story. And he's gone from being someone who's quite okay with being himself and dealing with things on his own, and he sort of comes to this crossroads where he's now injured, and he's really doubtful about whether he can go and save his daughter, which is his biggest motivation throughout these seasons, is to go and save his daughter. He's dealing with a lot of negative thoughts and things you wouldn't naturally think that this figure or this character has dealt with in the past. And that was what I found really intriguing.

We went down to the beach. My children, Chuck Morgan and these babies, grandbabies. And we stayed for a week and we stayed in every night and cooked and kissed grandbabies in the mouth. And my kids bought me two grocery store cakes, and I stood at the counter and ate them with a fork.

[Steve Higgins]

There you go. That's awesome.

[Leanne Morgan]

And then we went. I went baifing. I went bay fishing.

[Steve Higgins]

Now, bay fishing. Let me see. This is you. Bay fishing. What is bay fishing?

[Leanne Morgan]

Okay? That's where you don't vomit out at sea, okay? That's where it's real calm. And you go and you do. That's my grandbaby. And you do just like little catfish, redfish, stingray. We caught one of those. But just little things out in that bay. And you don't vomit and you don't. Oh, I had a ball. Look at me with big grandmama sitting up there. I had a ball.

[Steve Higgins]

Now, I know you were just talking about your husband Chuck, who you happen to call Chuck Morgan. Mm, yes, always his full name.

[Leanne Morgan]

Chuck Morgan.

[Steve Higgins]

Yeah, Chuck Morgan. What is Chuck Morgan up to these days, honey?

[Leanne Morgan]

Telling me what to do. What is it?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Why?

He's kind of gotten the big head. Everybody asks about Chuck Morgan, and he says, I'm more famous than you are.

[Steve Higgins]

Oh, my gosh. Does he get recognized now?

[Leanne Morgan]

He does get recognized, but he does not like for me to spend money. And, you know, I'VE made a little bit lately.

[Steve Higgins]

You've done very well.

[Leanne Morgan]

You work hard. You work hard.

I work so hard. And I just got off 150 city tour.

[Steve Higgins]

Holy moly.

Yes. And everybody was wonderful and I had a wonderful tour. But this baby, my 27 year old, is my makeup artist and travels with me. And Chuck does not want us to spend money on two hotel rooms. So we have been sharing a king bed for 150. Well, I don't even know how many shows Chuck Morgan.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I know.

[Leanne Morgan]

And then Reese Witherspoon that I had a tiny part in a movie. That little thing did that for me with Will Ferrell.

[Steve Higgins]

Yeah.

[Leanne Morgan]

And she called us FaceTimed us. And we were in the bed sitting together, me and my child. And she goes, are y' all poor?

[Steve Higgins]

No, that's not.

[Leanne Morgan]

Are y' all poor on tour? But Chuck doesn't like for me to spend money.

[Steve Higgins]

That's funny.

[Leanne Morgan]

But that's good. I'll have a retirement.

[Steve Higgins]

You'll have a retirement?

[Trae Young]

Yeah.

[Steve Higgins]

You and the family got to do something very, very cool. You went on Celebrity Family Feud. Now talk to me about this. That's a good looking family right there. How was the Feud? Did you win the Feud?

[Leanne Morgan]

We won. We beat little Lanie Wilson and her family. And I don't know how we did it. I don't know how we did it. But Chuck Morgan said, I knew we were going to win. Leigh Ann, he's real competitive. But these children said, y' all are going to say something stupid to me and Chuck. And they go, y' all are stupid. And y' all can't answer right. But really ended up. My children went blank. And Chuck Morgan and I ended up winning that thing. And we did win.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yes, Wayne. See, show them what's up.

[Steve Higgins]

You got to show them who's boss. Have you always enjoyed being the center of attention?

[Leanne Morgan]

Yes, Janet, you have. From the time I was little Betty and in high school, I'm from a tiny town, farming town in middle Tennessee, near Nashville. And my choir director, our little band teacher, loved me and thought I was fun. And so he asked me to be in the choir, but I can't sing. So he said, just mouth it, Leanne. And so I would be in the front and I would dazzle, you know, from the 80s with big hair, blacked out eyes, you know, And I would sing. You would lip sync. I would lip sync, but not. That's why I want to come on and lip sync with you, but I can't sing.

[Steve Higgins]

All right, done. Next time you come on, I'll think of bits. We'll do something where you can sing, but not sing.

[Leanne Morgan]

And I can dance. I can bust a moon, boy.

[Steve Higgins]

All right, all right. You can sing and you can dance. Your Netflix special was so good. You have a new special out. This one is called Unspeakable Things. Why is it called that?

Unspeakable Things means that I have to do unspeakable things with Chuck Morgan in a hotel room.

I know he's got a lot of testosterone and I just. I felt like that was a recurring theme in the. In my comedy, in my hour. And I thought I've got to name it Unspeakable Things.

If he gets in a hotel room with me, gets a glazed look over his eyes and then. And it's like honeymoon time, you know, and we've been married 30 something years.

I'm loving it. I'm Loving it. It's a grind year by year. But I mean, I've been. Been a lot further than when I was a rookie for sure when I first met you.

I mean, you're a four time NBA all star. You're also four time. You're also assist leader last season as well as two other prior seasons. Does either stat mean more to you?

[Trae Young]

Can I say those? Obviously the win and the loss column is obviously the biggest stat. I mean the most important stat for me. And I want to.

You just want to win a championship?

[Trae Young]

I want to win a championship.

[Steve Higgins]

[Trae Young]

Obviously. And that's every player's dream.

But when you do stuff like this, when you're the leader of assists, that's.
