And if you were surprised to see the US attack Iran, don't worry. So was Congress. Yeah, in the attack, the US took out Iran's 86 year old supreme leader. Everyone was like, 86? What'd you do, throw him a surprise party? Could have just popped a balloon. And now nobody knows who's going to take over Iran. As of now, it seems like it's down to Paramount or Netflix.

I don't know.

We'll find out. The operation against Iran is called Epic Fury, which I'm pretty sure is a new Mountain Dew flavor, which is Epic Fury. Sounds like a Jackie Chan movie released directly to streaming. When did he make that? Meanwhile, Trump watched the operation play out from Mar A Lago in a secure area that was shielded with a curtain. Nothing says secure area like a curtain. Yeah. Trump was in a makeshift situation room at Mar A Lago and the photo is going viral. This is real. Take a look. There it is there. Well, it was a sort of event at the Royal Academy, and all of the students got to do monologues in different rooms and she would stop in front one of the rooms and whoever she stopped in front of would get to do their monologue. Yes. I was in the same year as Jesse Buckley.

Yeah, we did a bit of Shakespeare together. In fact, our very first job after drama school was at the Globe Theatre. We weren't in the same play, but we were in the same. I did miss something, like Dream, and she did the Tempest.

Now, is that, like, form the Queen at the Globe Theatre?

Yeah.

I mean, Bridgerton, where is it all I've done. Okay, you've done not bad. But you've done everything.

[Luke Thompson]

Yeah.

Do you think it's the end now?

[Jimmy Fallon]

No, no, no.

I'm saying. No, no. It's just the beginning. Just the beginning? Are you kidding me? Just the beginning for you. But I'm just saying, these are giant things. I would freak out, just even be near the Queen. Globe Theater is a dream.

Yeah.

It's massive. People love it. Yeah, People love the romance. You're a stud. I mean, let's talk about Bridgerton this season. Tell you, bud, this season is about you.

When do you find that out? When you.

[Luke Thompson]

You don't have too much time to sort of, like, work up to it. I'd say, like, maybe like a few months. I knew. But it's quite good because, to be honest, I think as a job, it can be a little bit allergic to preparation. Like, it's good to prepare a little bit.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Okay.

[Luke Thompson]

But also, if you prepare too much, you worry and then you get in

[Jimmy Fallon]

your head, it won't be as good,

[Luke Thompson]

and then it'll be a disaster. Ah, you like to keep it.

Yeah, yeah.

You just have to go, go, go with the flow a little bit.

It's amazing because, like, we've got. Well, they bring that history with them as well. And also we've all done this thing. We're the only three brothers so far that have done.

So have you ever worked with him before this?

[Luke Thompson]

Johnny? Yeah, No, I didn't work with him, but he. I took over from him in a play. So I was doing King Lear and it was with Ian McKellen. Ian McKellen was playing Lear.

Oh, my goodness.

[Luke Thompson]

And he was playing at Ferdinand. And then I took over for the West End. So we weren't actually on stage at the same time. But that's what's great about this show is that in a lot of other projects, you wouldn't necessarily get to be in scenes with someone who's like, I guess, in your sort of casting bracket. Do you know what I'm saying?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Luke Thompson]

As in, like, it's actually really nice to have us as three brothers.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You know each other.

[Luke Thompson]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And you know each other in the final episode of Bridgerton Part 1.

[Luke Thompson]

Yes. No spoilers. Okay, I know what you're gonna say.

I know, I know. But I think what's wonderful about it is that, you know, everyone talks about the show in terms of the episode one being, oh, it's a Cinderella story. It's a Cinderella story. And it is up to a point. But the whole dynamic of the show is all these record scratch moments. It's all about fantasy and then the real world this season, I think.

Yeah.

And so actually, you know, he. And also, I hope he redeems himself in part two. We'll find out.

And another great accomplishment. You got engaged at the Olympics the day before the gold medal game.

What are you talking about? Here's you proposing to your then girlfriend, Brittany.

Were you. Were you nervous there? What are you standing on? By the way?

You know, I was really nervous during the Olympics, and logistically it just made sense with her schedule, my schedule, and I just went full send and didn't think about the grate until I was hovering over it. Half kneeled, shaking.

This is as far as I can go.

Yeah, go.

Which way does the box open? Did you have the ring with you the whole time?

[Hillary Knight]

I did, and I would check on it every single night. And I was like, this is the day.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Hey, congratulations, gorgeous. Come on. I can't see. The women's gold medal game was a couple of days before the men's. Quinn, what was it like for you guys to watch Hillary and the women's Team win gold. Yeah.

I mean, it was awesome. I mean, my mom's been working with the team for the last two or three years now, and I know they won like seven or eight in a row against Canada. So we were just hoping that this wasn't the one, that Canada would get over them. But it was great to watch.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Where were you watching it?

[Quinn Hughes]

We were in a box at the game. And we were actually, you know, with Tom Brady. And there's me, Jack and Tom watching the game.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's kind of exciting. Yeah.

[Quinn Hughes]

I mean, it was crazy. I don't know how we got up there.

[Jack Hughes]

He was the most pumped out of

[Luke Thompson]

all of us, too.

[Jack Hughes]

He was crazy.

[Quinn Hughes]

It was fun to watch. And obviously they got it done. It was a nail biter. But I think they were the better team and was happy for them. And no one was happier than Tom. He was jumping up and down.

Yeah, he loves you guys.

[Quinn Hughes]

And obviously me and Jack were thrilled and, yeah, super happy.

Did it inspire you to try to go for the gold there? And you go, yeah.

[Quinn Hughes]

I mean, obviously it would have been the first time that USA Hockey went 2 for 2 at the Olympics, So we were trying to do that. But, yeah, you did it.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You guys were. Quinn, you and Jack were roommates too, right? In the Olympic Village? You sure were.

[Luke Thompson]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Now, describe the room to me. How big we talking about here?

[Jack Hughes]

Like, this was the size of the beds right here.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Jack Hughes]

It was like, I didn't go to college, but Quinn obviously went to Michigan and. Yeah, go blue.

[Luke Thompson]

Yeah, go blue.

[Quinn Hughes]

Yep.

[Jack Hughes]

But he pretty much said it was like being back in the dorm rooms again. And it was just, like, funny because we walked in and the beds were, like, this far apart from each other. And then the first thing we did, we were like, we gotta move these beds. So we started shifting things around because.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Did it feel like you were growing up in your bed?

[Jack Hughes]

I didn't want to roll over and be, like, this far from.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Jack Hughes]

So did you move the beds? It made the room seem a little bigger.

[Jimmy Fallon]

But did you talk to each other, like, before you went to bed?

[Quinn Hughes]

It was funny. This guy, like, there's a couple nights where I'm rolling around, he's like, dude, you gotta stop rolling around. Like, I can't. Cause you know when the covers make loud noises.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah, of course.

[Quinn Hughes]

But, I mean, we loved it. The room was small, like you said. I felt like I was a freshman at Michigan again.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And who's a messier roommate? Be honest.

[Jack Hughes]

I will say, like, so over time, I Am definitely the cleaner guy. But we got, like four hockey bags of USA clothes. Every Olympian athlete. So, like, it was mayhem in the room the first three, four days. Cause you're just ripping packages open. You got new clothes, and it's like the room's small. You got four new hockey bags each of clothes.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You have no room.

[Jack Hughes]

But yes. Like, his side of the room ended up being a lot messier than my side of the room.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You lived a moment every kid who plays hockey dreams of, Jack. You scoring the game winner in a gold medal game. But before that, you got your hit in the mouth and you got your tooth knocked out.

Oh, no.

And then you scored the game winning goal with no tooth.

It was. It was the most hockiest thing.

Oh, my God.

[Luke Thompson]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Dude, I thought you. I thought you were gonna pull out the tooth. I swear, for a second, I thought that is the most hockey thing I could even think of ever happening in the world. What happens to. And you would know, too, as a hockey player. You get hit in the mouth, I would freak out. What do you do?

[Jack Hughes]

Yeah, I mean, I just remember Quinn. He was the first guy closest to me, and I remember him coming up to me at the TV timeout, and he was like, it's not that bad. Like, it's only chips. That's what he said.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I thought. That bad.

[Jack Hughes]

And that was like four minutes left in the game, like, when we were serious, like, trying to win this thing. And he came up and said, look at me. But more of just like, you don't want to spend time in the dentist's chair, obviously. So that was. That's the biggest issue, I'd say.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So you haven't had time to get anything repaired. I feel like this might be your thing. I think you might have to just. Are you getting used to having the hole in your mouth?

[Jack Hughes]

I can promise you this won't be my thing.

[Jimmy Fallon]

But now, come on.

It has to be your thing. Every time you come on the show, I want you to knock it out.

[Jack Hughes]

Since we've been back in the US we feel the love like crazy. Like, so much support. But when people are coming up for a picture, they'll be like, smile, Yeah. I gotta see the teeth smile.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And I'm like, you gotta show the tooth. Yeah. Hillary, playing in the Olympics, let alone five Olympics, is a lofty goal. But this is true. You actually told your mom when you were five.

Yeah.

You said, I'm going to the Olympics.

[Hillary Knight]

Yeah. I'm just dialed like that, you know,

[Jimmy Fallon]

and they were there.

[Hillary Knight]

We didn't have women's hockey in the Olympics at that time. I just must have seen it on TV and. And was like, that's what I'm doing. I want to play hockey.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's right. That's right. You tell them how to do it. Yeah, but then, you know, you go five Olympics.

Yeah. And then you win the gold. Right?

Come on. I mean, come on. Your family's super proud.

[Hillary Knight]

It's so cool. Cause our entire family went over to Italy and got to cheer on Team USA and be the best cheerleaders, best supporters.

Good to meet your brother. He's awesome. Yeah.

Your brothers made you who you are on and off the ice. I hope that they'll be able to say you did the same for them and that they had great NHL careers, too. Maybe you even suited up with them a couple of times. Maybe we all represented the United States at the Olympics. Maybe we won a gold medal or gold medals together. What an honor that would be.
