The only way I can get to work was by jumping in a German bobsled. Yep. All day long, people were wondering, how bad will it get and when will it end? It's the same questions you'll ask tomorrow during President Trump's State of the Union. When will it end? Besides the snow, it's just brutally cold. I mean, people outside are more frozen than Prince Andrew in the back of a police car. You know, really? People are really people. Yeah. The extreme snow caused whiteout conditions. Yeah. Right now, the entire Northeast. Looks like someone turned on a ceiling fan in Miami.

Today's blizzard canceled school for millions of students on the east coast. And it led to a very interesting commercial I saw. Watch this. There's nothing more important than your child's safety, which is why it's best that they stay home from school. But while you take care of them, make sure you also take care of yourself. The storm continues to wreak havoc, and as of now, 60,000 people in the Northeast have lost power. Or as the supreme court put it, 60,001.

Yep. The US may have to pay back $140 billion. Trump was like, I'm going to be honest. It's all tied up in ballrooms right now. So I don't know. Well, get this. Trump said that he is ordering the government to release classified FIL on aliens and UFOs, unless the aliens spent time with Jeffrey Epstein, in which case, still classified. We're not still classified. Well, tomorrow night is the State of the Union, and I just saw an interesting commercial for it. Watch this. Tomorrow night, President Trump will address the nation. And while you watch him speak for 90 minutes, be sure to reach for Jack Daniels. Very interesting campaign they're doing. Sweeping, sweeping campaign. Well, the Winter Olympics are over, and one of the big moments was yesterday when the USA men's hockey team beat

Canada in overtime to win the gold medal.

Canadians were so upset, they started drinking their maple syrup straight from the bottle. It's 9am somewhere, eh? Yeah. The US Men and Women's hockey teams just won gold at the Winter Olympics. Yep, it's pretty incredible. Check out what some of the players are saying about it. First up, men's team captain Auston Matthews said, this is incredible. I can't believe we won gold. Next up, women's team captain Hilary Knight said, I couldn't be prouder of our team. We did it. And finally, yesterday's hero, Jack Hughes said, this is absolutely amazing. I'm so excited. Usa. Usa. Thanks for. Yeah. Have you ever done stuff in front of a live audience?

[Nev Campbell]

I've done a little.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I'll do some theater. Yeah, yeah, I know. You did. You did Saturday Night Live years ago with.

[Nev Campbell]

I did.

[Jimmy Fallon]

In fact, Tracy Morgan was just out here. You did? He was on the cast when you hosted.

Yeah.

There's you.

[Nev Campbell]

He's amazing.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Tracy's Back there behind David Bowie and David Spade. Oh, my gosh. What was that like that night? Were you nervous?

[Nev Campbell]

Terrifying, really. I mean, the scariest thing I think I've ever done, really Well, I was young.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Oh, yeah.

[Nev Campbell]

And it's a big responsibility.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

[Nev Campbell]

You know, I wasn't known for comedy either, so, you know, I was a

[Jimmy Fallon]

little intimidated after air, after the whole thing. Did you want to do it again where you're like, yeah, I'm hooked. Uh, you're like, I did it. Let's do it.

[Nev Campbell]

I honestly felt like in that moment, it was the first time I think I was able to have something, like, understand. I think I just blacked out for the whole thing.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Did anyone give you any good advice or anything?

[Nev Campbell]

Lauren did. He was actually really sweet because he knew how scared I was. And he said something really lovely. He said, you know, what people love about this show is the mistakes. So few. I was like, oh, good, you've got a lot of confidence in me.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Well, get ready for a lot of mistakes. Yeah.

[Nev Campbell]

But it was sweet. And that is what people love about the show is knowing that it's live and anything can happen and when you guys crack up and all of that stuff.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Performing without a net. Yeah. Well, now, I want to mention, you're starring in season four of the Lincoln Lawyer, by the way, which is fantastic. You haven't seen her watch it right now. It was number one on Netflix. It's the biggest thing ever. But this season's all about you, bud.

[Nev Campbell]

I do a lot this season. Yeah, yeah, she's good. Yeah. Maggie, she's a great character. And I know that audiences really want to vie for Mickey and Maggie to get together and stuff, but I haven't. You know, she's a really good lawyer, but I haven't really been able to show that. And in this one, she gets very involved in defending Mickey.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yes.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah.

[Tracy Morgan]

Good.

He's in trouble.

Is it fun to look back and see how much has changed how old I am? No, no, no, no. I mean, just with the movies and

all that stuff, it's nuts. I mean, it's so odd to even consider a sequel of a film, but to consider. I mean, there aren't actually that many franchises.

[Jimmy Fallon]

No.

[Nev Campbell]

So to think that you actually get to be a part of one and play a character for 30 years is just like, I'm so grateful.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So when you did this, I mean, like, look at this cast. I know it's you and Drew Barrymore, David Arquette, Courteney Cox.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Skeet Ulrich.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah. And at that time, you know, Drew was famous and Courtney was getting there, but the rest of us.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Was Courtney on Friends?

[Nev Campbell]

She was on Friends. But first year. And it was first year of Party of Five.

[Jimmy Fallon]

First year of Party of Five.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah. Yeah.

[Tracy Morgan]

Wow.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So now you're just all. So Drew is the only one that's kind of like the season.

[Nev Campbell]

And then all the rest of us were like, maybe this will do something. Maybe not. But we think we're doing something good.

Yeah. Yeah. Well, the horror movies have been getting a lot of attention recently. You know, Sinners is up for an Oscar.

Yeah.

Incredible weapons. And people say you were the original final girl, which is like, you know. Do you ever think. You and Courtney ever think like, this is it. This is now one of us. One of us is gonna be knocked off.

[Nev Campbell]

One of the. Gonna go, well, you never know. And, I mean, I can't speak to that. Cause you don't know what happens in this one. Right.

[Jimmy Fallon]

No, you're right.

[Tracy Morgan]

No.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I die. You never know.

[Nev Campbell]

Someone's gotta go at some point. No, no, I'm not saying. But we don't know.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah. Do you actually know, though, when you're doing the movie? Do you know?

[Nev Campbell]

I do.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You actually do.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Well.

Cause I'm often carrying it.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah.

Whereas there's cast in it who don't know who the killer is. And sometimes there were even times, I think it was on two or three, that the actors who were playing the killers didn't find out until later in the shooting as well.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Oh, really?

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So you're.

[Nev Campbell]

I don't know. They try to be really secretive about these movies. Cause people get so excited.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Has it changed throughout the years? Like the first year you did it

[Nev Campbell]

was like the first year we did it. Well, that one they weren't too concerned about. But when it hit and got so big, the second one, they started putting these big red lines through all the scripts so no one could, you know, fax it or. Do you remember Fax Machine?

[Jimmy Fallon]

Fax it. That's so funny. Yes. Oh, no, I do remember.

[Tracy Morgan]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Of course.

I love Fax Machine.

Yeah. Yeah.

[Nev Campbell]

And then the third, they started putting out fake scenes out on the Internet to make sure that no one knew who the killer was going to be. These are a whodunit, you know, they're classic whodunit. You don't want to know who done It.

[Jimmy Fallon]

No, you don't want to know who done it, but, you know, kind of whodunit. Yeah. In the film, A Scream is basically a love letter to horror, the genre. And in the film, you actually learn about the three rules to surviving a horror movie.

[Nev Campbell]

Yes.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Do you remember any of these rules?

[Nev Campbell]

Jamie Kennedy.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Jamie Kennedy. Great.

[Tracy Morgan]

So good.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yes. It's classic.

It's amazing. We had such good actors in these movies.

[Jimmy Fallon]

[Nev Campbell]

Matt and Skeet and Jamie and David and the way they carried the humor and just great. But. Yeah. So Randy talks about the roles, and one of them is don't have sex.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's correct.

[Nev Campbell]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's usually when you get murdered.

[Nev Campbell]

Yep. Don't drink or do drugs.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah, that's another one that happens.

[Nev Campbell]

I think nowadays, for me, it's like, just know where the knives are in the house.

And I think the one you always gotta do is run out the door and not up the stairs, which seems really obvious, but it's amazing many of us are still running up.

Still running up the stairs. Yeah. Isn't it amazing how the phones have changed?

Well, that's what I love about these movies, because at the beginning we had the big white one, and then they get slightly smaller, and now it's like

[Jimmy Fallon]

they're in the house. Yeah, I can hear them. How do we set up what's going on with Scream 7?

[Nev Campbell]

Well, I can't say too much, but what I can say is fun. About this is a wonderful actress named Isabel May plays my teen daughter in it. And we got to see that Sidney in Five Was a Mother, but they were young. And in this one, you know, it's very brave of Sidney to decide to be a mom and have kids, considering what happens to most of the people she loves. So her greatest fear is that, you know, people will come. That Ghostface will come to her family. And of course, that's what happens. Cause it's a Scream movie. And so in this one, it's, you know, Mama Bear. Mama Bear comes out.

[Jimmy Fallon]
