It was 73 and beautiful. By the way, 73 and beautiful is also the new Lifetime movie about Bill Belichick and his girlfriend. That's right. We love Coach Belichick. In fact, it was such a beautiful day, Bill said he wished he had more holes in his sweatshirt just to feel the breeze. Yeah. Some political news. Last night, President Trump sat down with ABC's Terry Moran for his first broadcast interview since taking office. Yeah. Trump claimed that. Yeah, we'll get to some jokes. Here we go. Trump claimed that egg prices are down, gasoline is down, and groceries are down. Then a staffer said, sir, those charts are your approval rating. He said, oh, okay. But over the course of the interview, things got pretty heated between Trump and Moran. Watch this. Do you trust him? I don't trust you. I don't trust. I don't trust a lot of people. I don't trust you. This is why people no longer believe the news, because when he was photographed. I mean, you're being dishonest. No, I'm not. I don't have 100% confidence that we're going to finish this interview.

Hey, they're giving you the big break of a lifetime. You know, you're doing the interview. I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you. But that's okay. I mean, what kind of interview is this? I thought you were gonna ask me if 100 men could beat a gorilla. Not about the tariffs. I don't know about the tariffs. Yeah. Trump lashed out and said, I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you. It's the same thing he's told J.D. vance. That's why I don't know who you are. Meanwhile, it just came out today that for the first three months of this year, the US Economy shrank. Trump was like, well, it was the three coldest months. Of course, it was shrinkage. All the experts say the economy is in pretty rough shape. However, Trump's doctor says it's the healthiest economy he's ever seen. Some more news from Washington today. Trump held a cabinet meeting and Elon Musk. Elon Musk decided to have a little fun. Take a look at this Elon. I love the double hat, by the way. He's the only one that can do that, get away with it.

This is a South Dakota ranching family named the Mauds under the Biden administration. They had of their several hundred acre operation. They used about 20 acres and had a fence that had been there since 1910 when their family took over. Took over the ranching operation.

We had talked about that. Me too. I would tag by the finish line when my dad was gambling. But I always felt like. I always felt like coming from outside of Chicago, like, if I got a commercial, that was unbelievable.

And if I could call my mom and like, hey, I have a line on Doogie Howser, like, that's a win. So I never had a plan. Did you now? You just kept like, whatever the next step in front of you was, Right?

When you first. When you first moved to Los Angeles, were you just nailing auditions?

Vince Vaughn
No. Oh, gosh, no. Were you?

I was.

Vince Vaughn
I was a terrible audition. You know why? Because when I would go out for a job interview younger, you had jobs Younger, too. Yeah, right? Very young. We like bagging groceries as soon as I could. But we were taught to be very polite and shake everyone's hand.

Sure.

Vince Vaughn
So you would go into an interview and make eye contact. I'm Vince. It's nice to meet you. You know, you were raised to do that, but that's draining in an audition process. They don't have time for that. If there are six producers, they don't all want to shake your hand and have you. You know what I mean, be overly polite. They wanted to be out of that room. I felt probably super desperado to be when they're trying to do that. So I think I was. It took me a while that, like, if you act like you don't care, you have a better chance of getting the job. But I really did care. They could smell it on me, Jimmy. They could smell it on me. They could smell it on me.

You wanted it too much.

Vince Vaughn
Yeah. Don't you think? Didn't you?

Jimmy Fallon
Oh, I did. I wanted it too much.

They could probably feel it on you. Right. But the kids who didn't really care, you'd be in a waiting room with an actor who, like, didn't know the lines and he couldn't be bothered. Kind of rude to the receptionist. And then, you know, you'd be in your apartment a few months later, and then he'd be the one doing the party.

You had to learn to kind of act like you didn't care a little bit to get it right.

Yeah, I never really was any of my auditions. I mean, Siren Live was the only one I think I actually did.

My first audition was for Lifeguard number two in the Brady Bunch sequel.

And I had to say, get out of the pool. And I brought. I had. This is when they had fax machines. I had my size faxed. And so I went in with my paper just to get out of the pool. Like, I needed a script.

That's so crazy. Did you practice, like, probably 100 different ways to say, get out of the pool. Get out of the pool.

It's so crazy, right? I was gonna ask you, did you like that process? Do you like, even getting famous? I remember seeing you on magazine covers and doing all these photo shoots, and I'm like, he's a stud. He's a natural at this stuff. Do you enjoy that stuff or. That's just part of the business.

You don't know what's going on when this first starts to happen. When you're in these. You know, you go to these photo shoots. I wasn't a model, you know, so, like, they're telling you, like, lift a shoulder here. It starts off small, Right. Like, you lift a shoulder. That's cool.

It's a. It's a real restaurant. In Staten Island, a gentleman named Joe opened up a restaurant and he hired real life Italian grandmothers known as to be the chefs. And it's like a salute to these grandmas who cook their family recipes. And it became very popular locally. Yeah, he's got a cookbook. He's got a cookbook. He later expanded it to Nonnas of the world. So you have Japanese grandmothers, you have Greek grandmothers. And it just became a place for these wonderful matriarchs of their family to go and cook their family recipes. And so it's based on a true story, Hugh.

And when you're panning between like me and I, Ike's like 6, 4. So he's like tippy toes, squat and he's profusely sweating by the end of the take. And he's like also emotionally invested in all of our characters. He has no one to pant, so he's like, I reckon like Sally and Queen have a little bit of romance going on. And I was like, what Mark did? Have you read that? Like, is that in one of the scripts? Did I miss something? He's like, no, no, no. I just reckon there's something going on. Doing a little fan fiction on the side. I reckon, I reckon.

Oh, always, always. Especially working with all these legends or seasoned vets. Like it was. And I was like, we started out like, so hardcore. The first shot, day one, scene one, is Ike and I like spitting each other's face. It was like, nice to meet you, Seth, Evan, Ike. And then I was like, are they testing me? Like, this is the only thing we're filming that day. And Seth later was like, yeah, we were testing you. You were the wild card.
