Well, guys, today was the second day of the government shutdown, and lawmakers in Congress are saying they have no idea when it will end. Yeah, no one has any idea how long it will last. People are calling it the Grey's Anatomy of Government Shutdown. When will it. When will this still. Still? If this does last a while, I think they should at least make it fun for the rest of us, right? I mean, how about for each day of the shutdown, they release one name from the Epstein list?

Come on, just one name. One name. Why not keep it fun for us?

How about if the shutdown lasts a week, President Trump and J.D. vance have to switch makeup just for one.

Come on, come on, make it fun.

Right now, the government has no funding and no clear path forward. We've basically become the United Red Lobster of America. It's like, are we open? Are we open? Are we not? We don't know. That's right. It's day two of the government shutdown, and Trump still hasn't met with the Democrats to try and reach a deal. In fact, he uses a special excuse generator to come up with reasons why he can't talk to them. It actually works. I'll show you how it works. Watch this. When people ask, why didn't you meet with the Democrats about the shutdown? It tells Trump to say, I would meet, but unfortunately, I'm stuck on an escalator. It's a good excuse.

I want to believe them, but I just asked someone if Instagram is listening to me, and that video popped up. Apparently, Instagram doesn't listen to people through their microphones. Meanwhile, Apple and Amazon are like, just keep your head down. Don't make eye contact. Don't make eye contact. They're not looking at you. Meanwhile, Instagram and Facebook said that they're going to start showing people ads based on conversations they've had with Meta's AI Chatbot. Basically, it'll remember what you talk about most and then use that to show specific ads. Like, for instance, I use the chatbot to talk about exercise. That means I start seeing an ad for Peloton. So, yeah, I think it's pretty incredible technology. Isn't that cool, Higgins? Yeah, it is. Yeah, for me. I'm always talking to the chatbot about things like donating to charities.

You know, I am scared of birthdays. Not because I'm scared of aging. I actually love aging. I think aging is amazing. It's like, I'm like, oh, yeah. Everything just feels like it matters much less when you get older. I'm like, yeah, actually, anything goes. As long as I'm surviving, I'm good.

But my mom used to have really grand birthdays for me, so I actually feel like now I downplay it a little bit. Like, I'm like, I'll never live up to what she did for me.

And I remember being like, this is a dream. So I had Hannah Montana. I actually think the Cheetah Girls were playing as well. And so I got to see the Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montana, which is, like, really crazy. And then another birthday, I went to Justin Bieber on my world 2.0.

That's so cool.

[Addison Rae]

Like, how do you beat my world 2.0?

[Jimmy Fallon]

No. No.

Justin Bieber. Did these concerts make you want to be a performer?

[Addison Rae]

Yeah, Well, I grew up dancing, so I always loved to be on stage and performing. And I think seeing, you know, him on stage, I was dying. But also just like, wow, one day, like, that'll be me up there, really, in the levitating heart.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah. But now you are.

Yeah.

[Addison Rae]

It's crazy.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I know everyone's probably doing this to you and, like. Yeah. Cause they love you so much. I mean. And did you ever get to meet any of these people or. No, just go to the.

Well, at the time, you know, I remember, like, really fangirling and just desperate to, like, have any ounce of me be seen. Like, I'm like, I need to be seen or heard by Justin Bieber. And so my cousins and I actually went to the concert together, and we all had matching hot pink shirts with, like, glitter decals. We, like, customized the shirts. We came up with this chant that we were like, oh, this is gonna get us backstage. So I'll tell you, it was. We've got bieber fever. It's 102, and the only way to cure it is to go backstage with you.

I mean, talk to me. First of all, I know that Charli XCX brought you out for Von Dutch. What was it like working with Charli?

[Addison Rae]

I mean, I love Charli. She is someone that is such a true artist and is so vulnerable and honest and always just so true to herself. And I think that's so inspiring to me for so many reasons. I think watching someone be so diligently themselves is always really inspiring. And someone that kind of has taught me that there are no rules to this and songwriting and artistry can just be anything you want it to be. Yeah. And she brought me out for Coachella, and now I get to go and do Coachella on my own, which is really nice.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Oh, my God, buddy, that's so great.

[Addison Rae]

Are you going to be there?

[Jimmy Fallon]

I'll totally be there. Are you kidding?

I think it's really cool of you. Let's talk about Addison. Here we go. This is the debut. Gotten great reviews. You released it this summer, and it's been streamed over. I've said this a billion times.

That's fantastic. Well, explain what the vibe was with this and how you actually. I want to hear the story about how you got signed.

[Addison Rae]

Okay.

[Jimmy Fallon]

It's an interesting story, right?

[Addison Rae]

So I went into Columbia, and I had talked to Ron Perry plenty of times before. He's a mutual friend. You know, I had known him, known of him, but I don't think he ever really knew, like, oh, I wanted to take music seriously and, like, be, you know, an artist. And so I kind of was like, okay, well, let me have a chance to talk to Ron about this. Cause, like, I think he deserves to hear my story. And I'm like, okay, you know, let's set a meeting. We set a meeting. I made this binder. I had a binder. And usually when you go into a label meeting, they're, like, expecting you to show them music, obviously.

[Chase Infinity]

Right?

[Addison Rae]

Like, you play the label, the music.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You didn't play any music?

[Addison Rae]

No music. I had colors printed out, and I had words printed out.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Oh, no.

[Addison Rae]

I know. Dream big, guys.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You thought this was a good idea?

[Addison Rae]

I did. I was like, I don't have the music because I haven't been able to go into the studio. But I was like, I know exactly what I want to do. And I was like, here's 50 words that are describing how the music's gonna make you feel. And here's 10 colors.

Wow.

[Addison Rae]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And they believed in you.

[Addison Rae]

And they believed me. I know. But I'm really good at convincing people to believe. I really am.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah. So then you're making the album and they go. They probably go, we don't know what she does.

[Addison Rae]

Yeah, no, they had no idea.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I mean, we don't know what this.

Is gonna sound like. She just showed us colors, so it's gonna be colorful and it's gonna make us feel good.

I know.

[Addison Rae]

I was like, you know, just believe it and some magic will happen, I promise.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And then, boy, oh boy, did it. Yeah.

Went into the studio with my two really close friends and collaborators, Luke and Elvira. So it was a room of females only making this album, which was really, really special and so rare.

And you write your stuff, you work hard, you write your own stuff. And it's amazing.

I mean, it's really crazy to think that I'm so happy. It's getting so much positive response because the project is so special to me, so special to Paul Thomas Anderson, everybody else who was involved. And I've just been feeling so much love from everybody. So thank you all for watching the movie.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I mean, this is your first big thing. Yeah. I mean, now that it's out, have you thought about maybe going and seeing it in a theater and seeing it with. With just the people and the public?

I have.

[Chase Infinity]

I went and saw it.

[Jimmy Fallon]

You did it.

[Chase Infinity]

I went and saw it with three of my best friends, like right after we wrapped the press tour and I went to my local Theater in Chicago, the Music Box. And then I saw it in 70 millimeter there with my three best friends, and I.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Did anyone recognize you?

[Chase Infinity]

Not until, like, very, very at the end. And I was leaving, but then people were coming up to me and they were like, you're not the girl in the movie, are you? And I was like, no, I am. And they're like, oh, my God.

[Jimmy Fallon]

What?

Yeah. You're like, no, I'm just a super fan of her, and I look and dress exactly like her. Yeah. I also saw you posted. Someone sent you flowers. Gorgeous flowers, by the way. And can we say who sent these to you?

[Chase Infinity]

Zendaya sent them to me.

[Jimmy Fallon]

I mean, what.

What did that mean? What did that mean to you?

[Chase Infinity]

Like, literally even looking at it now and thinking about it, I love her so much. And it makes me tear up thinking about it because I was so happy and I was so grateful. And then I got to. To see her and thank her in person a couple days ago at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris, and I was like, I'm just such a massive fan, and I've been watching you since I was 10. So, like, I've seen you.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So.

[Chase Infinity]

Yes, I've been watching her since Shake it Up. So, like, I was freaking out and, like, getting to meet her in person, I was like, oh, my God, this is such a.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Did you tell her that you've been watching?

[Chase Infinity]

I had to walk away too soon because I was like, I'm gonna start crying.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Yeah, well, she might see it now, but this is your first movie role, and it's a Paul Thomas Anderson movie. I mean, he's the best. He's so fun. What do you remember about getting cast?

[Chase Infinity]

Oh, my gosh. It was a long audition process. I actually did my first audition via self tape while I was shooting my first TV show, Presumed Innocent. And I went in for Chemistry Reads callbacks, camera tests, so many times, and I think, like, so chemistry reads.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Are you in the room with Leonardo DiCaprio?

[Chase Infinity]

Yeah. So my first. My first callback was a chemistry with Leonardo DiCaprio and Regina Hall. And that was when I met Paul Tim Sanderson for the first time, casually. Oh, and I would have been so nervous.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Are you kidding me?

I wouldn't have ever even done that.

[Chase Infinity]

Yeah, it was really crazy. And, like, I remember, like, right before I went in, I was like, okay, I'm gonna see some faces that I know, and I'm not gonna let that faze me. And I'm gonna make sure that I'm showing up for Myself and being a great scene partner more than anything.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So you can't even talk to Zendaya. I mean, how are you gonna do this? And act in a mov. These legends and Paul Dyers, but you nailed it. I talked to the cast, I talked to Leo, and he was like, oh, once we had a chemistry, we knew it was her. She was amazing.

[Chase Infinity]

It means so much.

[Jimmy Fallon]

They read with a bunch of actresses, and you just clicked with everybody and worked with Paul. How was Paul Thomas Anderson?

[Chase Infinity]

Oh, my gosh. Working with him was like, I feel like every actor's dream. He just lets you play and he trusts you, and I trust him. And he creates such a safe environment for all of us to work freely. And he's such a wonderful collaborator, so I'm so grateful to have worked with.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Him and Sean Penn. Yeah, you have some intense scenes.

[Chase Infinity]

Yeah.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Sean Penn is phenomenal as well. Everybody's great in this movie, but Sean Penn is like a. He's kind of a general, and he's got a weird chin and he walks weird. But then he gets. I don't want to. Then ptsd. Am I scaring you? Because you get into crazy scenes. Did you meet him before you did the scenes with him?

[Chase Infinity]

No, I didn't actually meet him until we had our first day on camera together, which my first camera with him was a scene where we, like, get into a little bit of a scuffle in the sand and I end up flipping him. So that was my first.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's your first time meeting.

[Chase Infinity]

That was my first day meeting Sean Penn.

[Jimmy Fallon]

Was that planned, you think, by Paul Thomas Sanderson? Like, don't meet him.

[Chase Infinity]

It is part of his plan. Like, there was a couple other people that I didn't get to meet until later on in production. Like Teyana. Like, I didn't get to meet Teyana Taylor until.

[Jimmy Fallon]

She was great in this movie, too.

[Chase Infinity]

Fantastic.

[Jimmy Fallon]

And I know her. She's one of the nicest people. And she's frightening in this movie.

She's.

[Chase Infinity]

She is so cool in me.

[Jimmy Fallon]

She's really cool. Yeah. I was like, yo, you scared me, man. It was like. Cause it's so fantastic. And then seeing you in the theater, everyone was like, who is that girl? You were just unbelievable. You jump right off the screen and you're a star. But for anyone who hasn't seen one battle after another, how do we set it up for anyone?

[Chase Infinity]

Oh, my gosh. I feel like it's a movie that you can't really encapsulate in words because I don't want to put it in a box. Because the worst thing, the biggest disservice to do to the movie is put it in a box. But short synopsis is it follows a ex revolutionary named Bob Ferguson who's played by Leonardo DiCaprio. And he's brilliant, too. Amazing.

[Jimmy Fallon]

So amazing you can't take your eyes off.

[Chase Infinity]

And you're pretty much like watching him see his past, catch up with him. And my character Willa Ferguson gets kidnapped and he pretty much goes on this excursion to go get her back. But that's like a very, very.

[Jimmy Fallon]

That's a great way to describe it.

[Chase Infinity]

But it is the most intense. You're on the edge of your seat. It is exciting and it's thrilling. I'm like that soundtrack, by the way.
