The Roots
I love you. I love you. That's right.
Jimmy Fallon
I know.
The Roots
I see it.
Jimmy Fallon
I love it.
The Roots
Enjoy yourself. Welcome, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show. You're here. Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon
Thank you for watching. Well, guys, yesterday was daylight savings time and we lost an hour of sleep. Democrats were like an hour. We haven't slept since November. You guys see this today? X went down multiple times. And Elon Musk later blamed the outage on a massive cyber attack. Yep, it was rough all day long. Users had to get their misinformation from Facebook. That's great. Rough day. Today, some political news. During a Fox News interview, President Trump declined to rule out the possibility that that his economic policies could cause a recession. Trump was like, depends if we use my economic policies from this morning or this afternoon. I don't know. But we're in good hands. If anyone knows how to fight a recession, it's Elon Musk. Wow. And get this. Today, as a result of Trump's statement, the stock market dropped 1,000 points. It's not great when the summary of your first two months in office is stocks down, measles up. You know, that's bad. That's not good. Tesla's stock plunged and had its worst day in five years. No.
The Roots
Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
But on the bright side, usually when you hear about a Tesla plunge is when it drives itself into a river. Well, listen to this. Trump is now threatening to new tariffs on Canada, including a 250% tax on dairy. Even crazier, Trump said that we're going to start drilling for milk in our own country. Dairy prices don't affect Trump because most of the cheese he uses comes in whiz form. The Twitter was down. Well, this is fun. King Charles just released his personal music playlist and it had a lot of songs you wouldn't expect, including Beyonce's Crazy in Love.
Higgins
Yep.
Jimmy Fallon
King Charles loves Beyonce. So that's two royal family members who have joined the Beehive guys. I'm so excited. J. Hope is here tonight.
The Roots
I know, I know. You're back. Yes. And he could do it all.
Jimmy Fallon
And finally, there's a new fashion trend that's sweet, sweeping the nation. And it's pretty strange. Watch this one.
Gal Gadot
Legged pants. These are jeans that, as you can see, have one full leg. The Other one looks like you're wearing shorts. Some online retailers have picked up on the trend. They have these on sale from $45 to $700.
Jimmy Fallon
That's the biggest fashion statement that says I got caught in an escalator. If one legged pants aren't a sign we're in a recession, I don't know what is.
The Roots
We have a great show. Give it up for the Rudes.
Jimmy Fallon
Have.
Oh yeah.
The Roots
What a show we have for you tonight. What a crowd.
Jimmy Fallon
By the way, thank you very much. She stars in the new Disney film Snow White which opens exclusively in theaters March 21st.
The Roots
Gal Gadot is here tonight.
Jimmy Fallon
You know them from the hit Peacock show, the Traitors, which was the number one most watched unscripted series in the country.
The Roots
The winners of the Traitors are joining us tonight.
Jimmy Fallon
And he is a global superstar who you know from BTS.
J Hope
New.
The Roots
Single Sweet Dreams featuring Miguel is streaming now. J Hope is here.
Jimmy Fallon
Guys, I've been obsessed with the New York Times games lately. They're all very good, especially this game, Connections. You know that game? Oh yeah. It is so much fun. But the day got away from me and I haven't done today's puzzle. So I was thinking we could all just do it together. It's time for tonight's show Connections. Let's do it together. This will be fun. All right, so the way it works is there are 16 random words or phrases and our goal is to find four groups of four words that share a common theme. Okay, once we think we have one, I click submit and we'll see if we're right. Higgins, do you see anything?
Higgins
I think I do. Okay, I see Treebeard.
Jimmy Fallon
Okay.
Higgins
Legolas.
Jimmy Fallon
Uh huh.
Higgins
Shelob and Wormtongue.
Jimmy Fallon
Okay, and what's the connection there?
Higgins
Those are all like Lord of the Rings characters.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, okay, let's see if that's correct. No new new diseases under healthcare secretary RFK junior. So it is. It is a connection. It's a connection. But Ron, what is it? Wrong. Kenny, you're close. That was good question. You got one? I think so. Let's see, there's cheep, chirp. Okay. Chir and cluck. Okay. What are those sounds of bird meat? Ah, that's right. Let's try that. How do you call for the check on St. Patrick's Day? Can I get the shirt? Can I get the shirt please? The cheap. Can we get the cheap please? Kamal, you wanna try this? Yeah. Let's go, man. Okay, what do you got? Let's go. Breast. Yeah. Thigh. Yep. Leg and Giblets. Okay. There you go. The connection is those are all parts of the chicken you can eat. It makes sense. Let's try it. What? TSA squeezes if you have something in your pocket. That's true.
The Roots
Giblets. Right in the giblets.
Jimmy Fallon
Got my giblets. So that just leaves us with Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia. Well, obviously, that's the Golden Girls. Yeah. Yeah. Let's see. Mitch McConnell's hall passes. Either way, we got it right.
The Roots
Thank you for your help. That's all for tonight's show, Connections. We'll be right back with Gal Gadot. Everybody, come on back.
Jimmy Fallon
Our first guest is a very talented actor you can see in Disney's Snow White, which opens exclusively in theaters March 21st. Everyone please welcome Kal Gadot.
The Roots
They love you. They love you. We love you.
J Hope
I love you.
Jimmy Fallon
Welcome back. It's so good to see you.
J Hope
So good to see you, too.
Jimmy Fallon
I think since the last time you've been on our show, your family's gotten larger. You have two more kids. It's a family of six now.
J Hope
Yes. Family of six.
Jimmy Fallon
Wow.
J Hope
Yes.
Jimmy Fallon
How's the family?
J Hope
We're very grateful. We're great. We're exhausted.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, you are.
J Hope
It's messy.
Jimmy Fallon
What are the age ranges?
J Hope
Thirteen, Almost eight. Three and a half and one just seemed one.
Jimmy Fallon
That's a lot.
J Hope
So we experience every hormone possible.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes. It's all happening in the house at once.
J Hope
Different phases.
Jimmy Fallon
That's a movie itself.
J Hope
That's my husband. Yeah, he's hanging. We got a male dog. Cause it was like, I gotta have.
The Roots
Buddy.
J Hope
I gotta have like, come on, buddy.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh. I evolve female energy at my house.
J Hope
It's all I know.
Jimmy Fallon
Two girls. And my dog is female as well. Yes. I love it. It's great. Yeah, it's amazing. The cutest. You had a scare happen with the newest baby. I did. Obviously. You're okay.
J Hope
Yes, I'm okay. I'm on the other side of it. I had a huge scare. All of a sudden I realized what it means to be scared to death. Was very pregnant. I'm talking about it just because I think it's so important. Because if someone there out there in the world is going to have the same thing, and because she heard my story, she's going to get checked. Then I done my thing. I had a brain cl and it was a huge one. Like three. I had three. When I do something, I do all the way.
Jimmy Fallon
Here you go. All the way. But how did you know that you had this?
J Hope
I had major headaches for Three weeks. And I've seen doctors and different neurologists and you gotta advocate for your health. Our bodies are always communicating with us. We just need to listen and get checked if anything. You're gonna check. You gonna over check yourself. But it's better to over check than to not check.
Jimmy Fallon
But you just said, hey.
J Hope
And then I just. And they're like, it's probably a migraine. It's the hormones. Da, da, da, da. Then three weeks later, like, after having those crazy headaches, my mom is like, you need to check it now. Like, just go and get an mri. We did. They found out this horrible thing and we were rushed to the hospital and they got the baby out immediately. And I went through a thrombectomy. I had the most amazing team. They cared for me in Cedars Sinai.
Jimmy Fallon
Cedars Sinai. Shout out all the doctors and nurses out there.
J Hope
They saved my Life. Mara and Dr. Song and Michael Alexander and everyone. Thank you so much for saving my life. But I think, you know, just love yourself and check yourself and be on top of your health.
Jimmy Fallon
And now you're great and the baby's fantastic and beautiful.
J Hope
Congrats, caterpillar.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Good. I'm so happy. Is the family excited that you're Snow?
J Hope
Alive, yes.
Jimmy Fallon
No. Alive. Yes.
The Roots
No.
Jimmy Fallon
But also that you're in Snow White because Mom's already Wonder Woman.
J Hope
Yes. Yeah, I'm quite.
Jimmy Fallon
Thank you, guys.
J Hope
They'll come every night.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
J Hope
So I'm kind of curious. They didn't see it yet.
Jimmy Fallon
Okay.
J Hope
And I think once they're gonna watch the film, I'm gonna look at them like this. Cause I'm quite nervous from the reaction. They're so used to seeing me play the goody and the straight heroine.
Jimmy Fallon
They probably thought you were Snow White.
J Hope
Exactly. So Maya, the eight year old, when I told him I'm gonna do Snow White, she was like, yay. And then Alma goes, she's playing the evil queen. She's not playing Snow White. And Maya goes, what? Is that true? And I go like this? And she's like, no. And I'm always like, ima. I love that.
Jimmy Fallon
Must be fun to play the villain, right?
J Hope
It's so much fun, right?
Jimmy Fallon
Cause you just be as evil as you want.
J Hope
Yeah. Everything that we never get to be.
Jimmy Fallon
That's. Yeah, exactly. That's called acting.
J Hope
I just gave myself.
Jimmy Fallon
That's called acting. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, exactly. But it's based on the original Snow White, obviously, which is a musical. But you get to sing in this.
J Hope
I get to sing in this. Yes.
The Roots
That's what I'm talking about.
J Hope
I want to sing with you once. I'm not a great singer, but I want.
Jimmy Fallon
You are a great singer. I would totally one day.
J Hope
Let's do something.
Jimmy Fallon
I'd do anything with you.
J Hope
Dance. We'll sing.
Jimmy Fallon
You know, my dancing. The crowd loves my dancing. When you do a movie like this and it's such a classic thing, you have to say, magic mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? I mean, do you get nervous when you're about to say that line? Yes, It's a famous line.
J Hope
It's a famous line. But, you know, I watched Spielberg's documentary once, and he said whenever he got nervous when he was shooting Jaws and, you know, different movies, he just told himself, fake it till you make it.
Jimmy Fallon
Was that right?
J Hope
So I just come to set, and it's kind of inevitable. I can't not get into character once I wear the costume and the crown. It's so grand.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes.
J Hope
That I even changed my voice and everything was very dark.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes. It was delicious.
J Hope
I loved it.
The Roots
Doll Dados, everybody. Disney Snow White opens exclusively in theaters March 21st.
Jimmy Fallon
Our next guest just claimed victory on the Emmy winning show, the Traitors, which is streaming now on Peacock. Please welcome this season's winners. Gabby Windy, Dylan Ephron, Dolores Catania, and Lord Ivor Manbat.
The Roots
Welcome to the show.
Jimmy Fallon
All of the faithfuls won. You all got together. You won. The Traitors. Congratulations.
Gabby Windy
Thank you.
Dylan Ephron
How's it going?
Gabby Windy
Can you believe it?
Jimmy Fallon
I totally can. Is it hard to keep a secret when you know that you won? And is everyone asking you what's going on?
Gabby Windy
Nobody wants spoilers of the show, so it makes it really. But I have a big mouth, so I want to tell everyone. I'm like, please ask me who won. You don't want to know.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, you guys are all great in your own way on the show, and I'll get through that.
Gabby Windy
But, Gabi, in your own way. What's that supposed to mean?
Jimmy Fallon
No, because. No, you were very funny. Everyone's got their own little moves that were so funny. You said also your fashion was on point. Everybody's. Yeah. Very important.
Gabby Windy
The garment bag.
Jimmy Fallon
The garment bag.
J Hope
Shirt was.
Jimmy Fallon
But you said that if you won that you were gonna get married and you went and got married.
Gabby Windy
I did it.
Jimmy Fallon
Congratulations.
The Roots
Here you are.
Jimmy Fallon
Shout out to Robbie. She's in the audience.
My wife. There you go right there. You got married.
Yes.
You got married in Vegas.
Gabby Windy
In Vegas. Cannot Recommend Enough.
Jimmy Fallon
Wait.
Gabby Windy
$7.99 for the deluxe package a limo. Reverend Nature. Big Nate took all the photos. They're gorgeous.
Jimmy Fallon
Reverend Nature.
Gabby Windy
Yes. Reverend Nature.
Jimmy Fallon
Fantastic.
Gabby Windy
Not interested, but would recommend 10 out of 10.
Jimmy Fallon
Wow.
Gabby Windy
She let you have your own space.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Gabby Windy
It's amazing.
Jimmy Fallon
Congratulations. You're married. This is fantastic. Dylan, talk to me about this.
The Roots
You.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes. You got to. You watched the show, but obviously you were on the show, but then you got to watch it now. Anything different when you're watching. Thank. Being on it.
Dolores Catania
Oh, so much is different. So much more intense than you think. And everyone thinks it's so easy to get a traitor. We're not cluing in. Like. Like, you see on TV when it's on Danielle and she's doing those fake tears.
Jimmy Fallon
Danielle was unbelievable.
Gabby Windy
I was like, do you need a propranolol?
Jimmy Fallon
She's anxious.
Gabby Windy
She needs a beta blocker. Where is the medic?
Jimmy Fallon
Falling on the ground and crying. And we don't. Like. You don't see all that.
Dolores Catania
Like, I was looking at my breakfast. I wasn't looking at everybody's reactions. So hungry.
Jimmy Fallon
Looking at the Brigitte.
Gabby Windy
Yeah, this is good for me.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. One of the best parts, I think, of the shows is obviously the first episode. Everyone's blindfolded. Right. The way it works. And then Alan Cumming goes, who's fantastic as well. I think this season, by the way, the best cast. And everybody was just shine. The best.
Gabby Windy
We love to hear it.
Jimmy Fallon
You were great. Alan goes around the table and everyone's blindfolded. And if he taps you, that means you're a murderer, you're a traitor, and you have to kill. Yeah, this is. And there's. Yes, you have to kill everyone.
Lord Ivor Manbat
The problem is the taps are so light, so you actually don't realize. Or you're constantly thinking, no, I know it wasn't happening, but you're honestly thinking.
Jimmy Fallon
But after. Do you feel like you might have been tapped?
Dolores Catania
The worst part is he walks around more than 20 times. Like, you see maybe three times on TV. It goes on and on.
Gabby Windy
I have no idea. So the stress of that, like.
Jimmy Fallon
But are you listening to here? Like, wait, did the person next to me just get tapped or just listening?
Gabby Windy
You could feel the wind of him going by.
Lord Ivor Manbat
But he said he tapped you very, very lightly. And then when we take our masks off, or when we took our masks off, I winked at Sam, who I used to sit next to all the time, and I suddenly thought, christ, why did I do that? Did anybody see me? You know?
Jimmy Fallon
Do you, like, after you see the show, do you think again about what you were Doing like. You're like, why did I say like hello or good morning? Cause you're like, wait, what is that supposed to mean? And you go, I'm just saying good morning.
Gal Gadot
It was that specific.
Gabby Windy
Really? I wasn't like, oh, you changed your demeanor. I wasn't like that. Clearly I didn't do great.
Lord Ivor Manbat
The first thing Tom said when he took his mask off is he looked at everybody like this.
Jimmy Fallon
You know, Tom was fantastic. Dude. He was so funny with the backwards singing.
Gabby Windy
Great teacher, singer, great.
Jimmy Fallon
But like, dude. But I would be afraid. I would be afraid of Wes. I would be frightened.
Gabby Windy
Should be.
Jimmy Fallon
We all were.
Dolores Catania
That's why we want.
Gabby Windy
He's not bad at the round table. Yes. He really comes out for you had the best players.
Jimmy Fallon
But I mean, Boston Robinson. I love Boston Robbie. I know.
Dolores Catania
I love Boston Robbie. He does it. Yeah.
J Hope
His boyfriend.
Dolores Catania
Guilty.
Gabby Windy
Big romance.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Gabby Windy
He abused him and he loved it.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. Yeah. If they did an all star season, would you guys go back?
Dolores Catania
Yes, I would. In a heartbeat.
Gabby Windy
I can't say it's been. It's been. There's not enough time that's passed. I don't know. I need a break. I need my money. I still haven't even gotten my money. What would I would go on without a check. Like, come on. We wondered when you were going to get that in.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes. You didn't get your money yet.
Gabby Windy
This is NBC. I've been screaming.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, very good. Yes. We got to get these guys there. We're winning money. And then. Then Gavin might come back. We're not sure.
Gabby Windy
Maybe, probably not. But I still want my money. Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
You were so well done. What a great season of tv. And thanks so much. Congratulations again to the winner right there.
The Roots

The Roots

The Roots
Oh, this is a big deal.
Higgins
Now.
Jimmy Fallon
What was your order?
Dylan Ephron
I Ordered.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah.
Dylan Ephron
Cheeseburger anymore style and vanilla milkshake.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes.
Dylan Ephron
And fries.
Jimmy Fallon
And fries, yeah. And good.
Dylan Ephron
It was good.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes.
Dylan Ephron
Very salty and cheesy and sweetie and everything. Not healthy.
Jimmy Fallon
No, no, no. That's what it's for. That's what it's for. That's what. It's the best. Yeah. I know you watched the super bowl and you're a fan of Kendrick Lamar. Have you ever met Kendrick Lamar? Not yet, no.
Dylan Ephron
But I want to meet Kendrick Lamar, so.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. And would you ever. Would you ever work together? Ooh.
Dylan Ephron
I'm ready for walk with you, Kendry.
Jimmy Fallon
So. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Kendry.
The Roots
Come on, Kendrick. That's how you do it.
Jimmy Fallon
You're such a good dancer. You've been dancing your whole life, really. But you were in a group, like an underground dance group called Neuron. Would you compete against other dance groups? And what kind of songs were you dancing to?
Dylan Ephron
Probably, you know, the Kris Kross.
The Roots
Yes, Kris Kross.
Jimmy Fallon
Yes.
Dylan Ephron
I heard. When I was younger, I heard jump, jump, jump.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, yeah.
The Roots
Jump, jump, jump, jump. Dad MacKinnon.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah. No way.
Dylan Ephron
That was the song that was impressive for me, this music.
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, I love Kris Kross. Now, when it comes to new music, when you write lyric or work on a beat, do you think about dance moves that go with it? Like, is it dancing in your head when you're writing? And always really. I don't know if you've heard, but I'm friends with Justin Timberlake and no big deal, but I went to the studio with him once and he was playing me his songs off the new album, and every song, he would just get up and just start dancing and he's like, I can't wait. I can't wait to perform this live. I can't wait to do this live in front of a crowd and just do it, like, every song. I was like, he's already in his head dancing when he's making the song.
Dylan Ephron
Oh, you're saying for me, really?
Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, yeah. You have a new. You have a new single streaming Sweet dreams with Miguel. The music video is also out, by the way, and crushing. And everyone's watching it. Can you tell me the inspiration for the song? Oh, yeah.
Dylan Ephron
That'S right.
Jimmy Fallon
That's right. Yeah.
The Roots
Army, My inspiration.
Jimmy Fallon
Army, Army. Always yellow Me. I mean, the greatest. The greatest. I mean, the world. The army we love army we love the army, love them. You also kicked off your first solo world tour. Yeah, right. No big deal.
The Roots
It is called. It is called Hope.
Jimmy Fallon
Hope on the stage. And you're. You're performing this next Thursday in Brooklyn, New York.
The Roots
How does it feel?
Jimmy Fallon
How does it feel to be back on stage? And what should people expect from these shows?
Dylan Ephron
Hope on the stage. The title itself says it all. So.
Jimmy Fallon
It'S.
Dylan Ephron
You understand, it'll be a show unique to J Hope. So, yeah, I'm ready. And you guys ready?
The Roots
Yeah, it'll be a great time.

You're gonna be headlining Lollapalooza, Lollapalooza Berlin this summer alongside Gracie Abrams, Benson Boone Ray, and Justin Timberlake.
The Roots
You know what I'm saying?
Jimmy Fallon
Uh, but previously, you headlined Lollapalooza in Chicago a couple years ago. And that was. Look at me. That was amazing. That was.
The Roots
That was so great.
Jimmy Fallon
That was so great and so impressive. I was like, dude, how you had the courage to go out by yourself and just go for it. I was like, in Chicago. And you crushed it. Yeah, you. You crushed it. You're going to be performing Sweet Dreams tonight. J Hope, I'm so happy that you're here and I'm so thankful every time I see you. I love you so much and thank you.
The Roots

Highlighting former President Trump's ambiguous remarks on his economic policies, Fallon humorously captured the uncertainty surrounding potential recessions.
Trump’s Recession Comments: Fallon recounted Trump’s indecisive stance: “Trump was like, depends if we use my economic policies from this morning or this afternoon. I don't know. But we're in good hands” [01:14]. This ambiguity led to a significant market dip, with Fallon noting, “As a result of Trump's statement, the stock market dropped 1,000 points” [01:30].
Tesla’s Crash: Adding to the economic woes, Fallon joked about Tesla's stock plunging: “But on the bright side, usually when you hear about a Tesla plunge is when it drives itself into a river” [02:47].
Trump’s Dairy Tariffs: Highlighting Trump’s unpredictable policies, Fallon quipped, “Trump is now threatening to new tariffs on Canada, including a 250% tax on dairy” [02:55], followed by a laugh about drilling for milk domestically.
King Charles’s Playlist: Shifting tones, Fallon mentioned, “King Charles just released his personal music playlist and it had a lot of songs you wouldn't expect, including Beyonce's Crazy in Love” [03:31], playfully connecting the British monarchy with pop culture.
[05:26 – 07:59]
Fallon introduced the audience to the New York Times’ popular game, Connections, turning the monologue into an interactive and engaging challenge for himself and The Roots.
Gameplay Mechanics: Fallon explained, “There are 16 random words or phrases and our goal is to find four groups of four words that share a common theme” [05:26].
Collaborative Effort: With The Roots’ help, Fallon successfully identified groups, such as Lord of the Rings characters and parts of a chicken, demonstrating teamwork and quick thinking. Notable moments include The Roots' collaborative spirit: “Right in the giblets” [07:19] and the humorous conclusion, “That's the biggest fashion statement that says I got caught in an escalator” [04:12].
Engagement: This segment not only entertained but also invited listeners to participate, making the show interactive and inclusive.
[07:59 – 13:54]
Gal Gadot made her appearance, promoting her role in Disney’s Snow White, set to release on March 21. Fallon delved into her personal life and her experiences portraying a classic character with a modern twist.
Family Updates: Fallon noted Gadot’s expanding family: “I think since the last time you've been on our show, your family's gotten larger. You have two more kids. It's a family of six now” [08:22]. Gadot shared heartfelt insights about balancing fame and family, reflecting on the chaotic yet joyful nature of a large household: “We're very grateful. We're great. We're exhausted” [08:38].
Health Scare: A poignant moment occurred when Gadot opened up about a recent health scare: “I had a brain clot and it was a huge one... They saved my life” [09:07]. Her vulnerability resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of health advocacy: “Our bodies are always communicating with us. We just need to listen and get checked if anything” [10:17].
Acting in Snow White: Discussing her role, Gadot expressed excitement and nervousness: “Once I wear the costume and the crown... I even changed my voice and everything was very dark” [13:14]. Victory Celebration: Fallon congratulated the winners, noting their strategic prowess and teamwork: “You were great. Alan goes around the table and everyone's blindfolded...” [14:34]. Gabby Windy humorously revealed, “I have a big mouth, so I want to tell everyone. I'm like, please ask me who won. You don't want to know” [14:42].
