Jimmy Faux
What's up, everybody? Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show. Well, guys, it's another scorcher here in New York City. With the temperatures reaching 98 degrees, it's been three days of relentless heat. Now I know what it feels like to be a 711 hot dog. Enough. It's brutal out today in Central Park. Any man who tried riding the metal horses on the carousel, you can no longer have children. And that's, you know, it's hot when you get to your stop on the subway and you need to be spatulaed out of your seat. That's what I. That's when. Seriously, it was so hot today.
Jonathan Bailey
How hot?
Jimmy Faux
It was so hot today. Only fans is only selling fans. It was. It's so hot. On my way into work, I saw a squirrel icing his nuts and I go, that's.
Jimmy Fallon
Hey.
Jimmy Faux
It was so hot.
Jimmy Fallon
How hot was it?
Jimmy Faux
It was so hot. I spent the day sweating like a Love island contestant trying to read a book without pictures. I mean, it was. Oh, it was so hot. I was sweating worse than Andrew Cuomo's campaign manager. Well done. That's funny. Yeah. Everyone was talking about this last night. In a major upset, Zoran Mamdani beat Andrew Cuomo to win New York's Democratic mayoral primary. Mom, Donnie is 33 years old. After he won, he was like, My seven roommates are never gonna believe this.
Jimmy Fallon
Dudes.
Jimmy Faux
33 years old. Wow, that's a good age. Because he knows the meaning of both the spending cap and no cap. You know, he's one of these. Yeah. Last night, 33 year old Senate assemblyman Zoran Mamdani pulled off a huge upset and is now the favorite to win the general election. Check out what some former mayors said after his big win. First, Mike Bloomberg said, I wish you the best, Mr. Mamdani. Becoming mayor was the greatest honor of my life. That's nice. Next, Bill de Blasio said, we're all rooting for you. There's nothing like being mayor of New York. Then Rudy Giuliani said, yo, kids, can I borrow 20 bucks? Then next, Mike Bloomberg said, running the city is challenging, but also rewarding. Then Rudy Giuliani said, forget the 20 bucks. Can I sleep in your car? Not, not for long. Just for like six or seven months. And de Blasio said, I look forward to watching his campaign. And finally, Rudy Giuliani said, quick cue. Is it better to train a pigeon to retrieve food or just eat the pigeon?
Jimmy Fallon
Wise words.
Jimmy Faux
Interesting. Have you all had something you could say that was nice? And finally, I read that skimpy men's swimsuits are making a comeback. Yeah, men's speedos are super popular now. Well, as long as the pool is heated, we have a great show. Give it up for the Roots, ladies and gentlemen.
The Roots
The pool is taking over. What you want. The boys is taking over. Tell me what you want. It's all over now.
Jonathan Bailey
Over.
The Roots
Come on.
Jimmy Faux
What a show we have for you tonight. He is a very talented, talented actor. Oh, my gosh. He is the number one dude right now, man. Yeah, he hit a homer with this one. He's in the giant new movie Jurassic World Rebirth, which is in theaters July 2nd. Jonathan Bailey is here tonight. Great. He was great in Wicked. He was great in Wicked and Jurassic World. This guy can do everything. I'm so happy. This is the summer of Jonathan Bailey. Yeah. She's starring in season four of the FX series the Bear which is streaming now on Hulu on. Our pal Abby Elliott is joining us.
Jimmy Fallon
Come on, Abby.
Jimmy Faux
This is big news right here. They are Grammy winning music icons who are going on tour together for the very first time. It's called the Boy is Mine tour and it kicks off this fall. Brandi and Monica are here tonight. It's a big deal.
Jimmy Fallon
We'll be right back with Jonathan Bailey.
Jimmy Faux
Our first guest is an Emmy nominated actor who stars in the highly anticipated new film Jurassic World Rebirth, which is in theaters July 2nd. Please welcome Jonathan Bailey. Jonathan Bailey, welcome back to the show. Oh, is right. It is good to see you again.
Abby Elliott
It's so good to see you again.
Jimmy Faux
Congrats on everything. It is the summer, I think of Jonathan Bailey. Look at this cover of gq. That's what I'm talking about. Stud cover of Hollywood Reporter right there. Come on now.
Abby Elliott
That was my 9 to 5 job.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah, that's.
Abby Elliott
That's me on the weekend. Just.
Jimmy Faux
Oh, yeah, oh yeah. That's casual. Jonathan Bailey. And I mean, Wicked was fantastic. It was phenomenal. The trailer for Wicked for Good came out and it broke all sorts of records. That's going all over the place. When you saw that trailer, did it go back to you? Oh, yeah, I remember we filmed that.
Abby Elliott
Yeah. It sort of teleports you back. There's so much that I didn't see because the girls, their extraordinary work and John Chu, the director. It was the. Yeah. I mean, I'm a massive fan of Wicked anyway, but like you, I got to see so much stuff that. The first time.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah.
Abby Elliott
And it is enchanting.
Jimmy Faux
Did you see anything in the trailer that you go. Oh, yeah, well, you weren't in that scene, so can you tell us?
Abby Elliott
I think Cynthia and Ari on a. On a. On a pink swing floating in the.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah, I mean, I saw something, but I don't know if you want to give a spoiler, can we. But it looked like there might be a wedding.
Abby Elliott
Jimmy. Jimmy, Jimmy.
Jimmy Faux
Jonathan. It's so good to see you. It's so good to see you.
Abby Elliott
I don't. I don't. I don't marry until.
Jimmy Faux
Okay, but does someone marry and tell?
Abby Elliott
We have to find out.
Jimmy Faux
I don't want to get you in any trouble. I want to talk to you about Jurassic World. Rebirth. Man, oh, man, is this a great film. This is such a good movie. It is so fun. It is frightening and terrifying in the best way. It's just so well done and it's got that kind of summer blockbuster, Spielberg y type of vibe.
Abby Elliott
There's a lot of love on screen. There's so many Easter eggs and homages to all the films we loved growing up.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah.
Abby Elliott
Beyond Jaws, it's like Gremlins and the Goonies. It's a big adventure and I couldn't be prouder to be a part of it.
Jimmy Faux
Last time you were on the show, I think you were saying, we announced. We announced that we were going on to do.
Abby Elliott
Which was 14 months ago. It's amazing what can happen just every year.
Jimmy Faux
Home run. Well, you hit a homer in great.
Abby Elliott
Company with Mahershala Ali and Scarlett Johansson.
Jimmy Faux
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Scarlett Johansson. Come on. Yeah. It's the best. Is it everything you could have imagined it would have been?
Abby Elliott
Yeah, everything and more. Everything and more. And I feel really. Yeah, it's. We were filming in these extraordinary locations in Thailand, Malta and London. And there were sequences that just felt so. I sort of developed a verb to Spielberg.
Jimmy Faux
Oh.
Abby Elliott
Because the only way you can sort of describe the experience of shooting on a gimbal on a. We were in Malta on a. On a boat. And the boat was flipping and there was water cannons flying and flips and we like. The action sequence is a knockout, but it's. It just. The only way to describe it is to Spielberg. We. Spielberg for a few months.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. Because we're Spielberging right now. We're full on Spielberg.
Abby Elliott
Is that your Spielberging face?
Jimmy Faux
Yeah, that's it. That's what I would do. I would freak out. Yeah. I mean, not only do you star in the film, but this is. I saw this and that. This was very cool. You also helped part score the film as well.
Abby Elliott
Yeah, this really was a highlight of my career. Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Nerding out about this.
Abby Elliott
I love this is the nerd in me sort of erupted like Vesuvius. But I was, I was doing a play, I was doing a production of Richard ii. So I was playing Shakespeare every night. And I'm sure you've done theater. You sort of go completely cuckoo trying to sustain the performance. And. And I was doing adr and Gareth Edwards, extraordinary director, was saying, we're going to be recording Alexandra Despatch new original score for the Jurassic, which will include the John Williams theme next week. So I was like, brilliant. I'm going to go over to Abbey Road Studios. And he let me in and I sat with my mate at the top.
Jimmy Faux
And we said, can I just go watch?
Abby Elliott
Just to watch, Just to, you know, I'd got goosebumps. 105 piece world class orchestra. Conrad, the original orchestrator who worked with John Williams was there. The original score was in his hands. And as the week progressed, I came back and I was like, I could. Can I bring my clarinet? Because I played the clarinet at school. I told you it was a nerdy story. And on the Friday they said, look, you can come. And I just wanted to play one, like, just. Even if it was like one slightly sharp note John Williams score, it would have been my dream come true. And I came and I ended up playing the clarinet with an amazing. With John and Caris, who were the clarinetists. And I played on the John Williams score and I stayed there. And Alexander Desplat, amazing composer, was like, hey, you can play. You stay, you stay. So I stayed in the session and then. And we were playing all the cues that were coming up. Extraordinary music. Like his score is amazing. And then a clarinet solo came up and he said, come on, you're gonna play. And I was like. And obviously world class musicians. I was like, I can't do. I'm not gonna. I said I couldn't do it. And I said no. And I sat there as this clarinet solo played and I was like, I'm gonna regret that for the rest of my life. And I just sort of sat there, carry on. And you know, I played the odd note here and there and then Again, a clarinet solo came up, and he said, it's now or never. And I just went, okay, let's do it. And I ended up playing the theme of Dr. Henry Loomis, the character I play in a Jurassic park film, on the clarinet, which is in the score.
Jimmy Fallon
It's the greatest story ever.
Abby Elliott
But, you know, in 1993, Jurassic park came out. It was a formative experience for all of us. That's why we loved that film and the franchise so much. And the same year, I got given a plastic clarinet by my granddad, who I think won it in a. In a. In a pub.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. In a pub.
Abby Elliott
And I started playing then. And you just. It just shows that, you know, if you find something you love and you commit to it, you never know how it comes full circle. But honestly, it was like. It was so emotional. Yeah. I mean, there's just certain things that happen that you couldn't possibly even imagine. But. Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Another thing that's going around is the glasses that your character wears.
Abby Elliott
Yes.
Jimmy Faux
In the film is going all over. The movie's not even out yet, but it's become an Internet sensation.
Abby Elliott
You know, this is Blakely Thornton, who's come up with this.
Jimmy Faux
So. So. So everyone's. What are they saying about your glasses? They're.
Abby Elliott
They're saying they are slutty. Slutty, yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Glasses. Yes. And I just think that's hilarious. That's. That's. That's how they're describing your glasses. But were.
Abby Elliott
You see the film and you see Dr. Henry was. It always would be so proud to be called slutty.
Jimmy Faux
Your character look.
Abby Elliott
Yeah. When we had the first costume fitting, you know, this in. In the franchise and also in all the Spielberg films, the characters have such specific costumes. And so, yeah, at one point, he had a big old beard. I grew my hair. I have a long hair. So the first thing to go was to cut. I cut my hair, and then I found a fisherman's hat, which I really liked. I have a really big beard, and I chose these glasses, and they're made by cubitts. I'd worn cubits for 10 years, so that's always good. And then I was like, it's a nod to Dreyfus, which is Dreyfus in Jaws. That was the idea.
Jimmy Faux
Oh, really?
Abby Elliott
I lost the fisherman's hat. The beard had to go, but the glasses stayed. And here we are.
Jimmy Faux
Shout out to Richard Dreyfuss. That's really good.
Abby Elliott
If Richard Dreyfus knew that. The butterfly effect.
Jimmy Faux
But then. But then talk to me. About the Shameless Fund. This is a charity that you're involved in. Tell me about this.
Abby Elliott
It raises money to fire up and support small non profits that helps the LGBT global community. And we've just releasing this new product. I mean, this, which is, you know, a shameless little glasses.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah, these are.
Abby Elliott
It's the same. Yeah, it's the same frame but with the pink lens.
Jimmy Faux
This slutty little glasses.
Abby Elliott
Wear them shamelessly.
Jimmy Faux
I'm going to wear them shamelessly. Yeah. Where did they go to to pick these up?
Abby Elliott
This is on Cubits. Cubits website and follow Shameless Fund. We've managed to raise nearly a million in a year, so.
Jimmy Faux
Million in a year.
Abby Elliott
Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. That's cool that you did that.
Abby Elliott
I'm very proud of that.
Jimmy Faux
That's cool that you did that.
Jimmy Fallon
Jonathan Bailey. Jurassic World Rebirth is in theaters July 2nd. Jonathan Bailey, go check out Jurassic World Rebirth. We'll be right back aboard tonight, everybody, 24 7. Our next guest is a Golden Globe.
Jimmy Faux
Nominated actress starring in season four of the acclaimed FX series the Bear, which is streaming now on Hulu. Please welcome Abby Elliott.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, I'm so happy to see you, Abby.
Jonathan Bailey
So happy to see you.
Jimmy Faux
You look great, pal. Thank you. So much has happened since the last time you've been on the show. You've got married.
Jonathan Bailey
Got married.
Jimmy Faux
You have two beautiful children.
Jimmy Fallon
Congratulations.
Jimmy Faux
Two kids. Two kids. Thank you.
Jonathan Bailey
Yeah. Bing. My son is two years old. He's amazing. Edie. My daughter is four years old now.
Jimmy Faux
Oh, my gosh, Abby, I'm so happy for you.
Jonathan Bailey
Thank you. She's just the sweetest. They're both so sweet.
Jimmy Faux
What are they into?
Jonathan Bailey
She loves Elsa Rapunzel. Mick Jagger, of course.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. That's the. The three kids little girls always love. No, she really loves Elsa Rapunzel and Mick Jagger. Yes. That's fantastic.
Jonathan Bailey
She genuinely loves the Rolling Stones. Like, I think this was my husband that got her into it.
Jimmy Fallon
Love that. Yeah, but like, do you want a better snowman?
Jonathan Bailey
Yes. Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
Love that.
Jonathan Bailey
But she started with I can't get no satisfaction. Then it got a little, like, deeper. Beast of burden. Now she's like, you know, when she, like, wants to decompress, she'll listen to Angie, you know, like after preschool.
Jimmy Faux
You're kidding me.
Jonathan Bailey
No. She's like, I just want Angie right now. I need to, like, chill out.
Jimmy Faux
She's four.
Jonathan Bailey
She's four.
Jimmy Faux
That's the cutest thing. I haven't seen you since the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary. Yeah, that was a big deal.
Jonathan Bailey
That was wild. That was crazy.
Jimmy Faux
A lot of people. You were a cast member for four seasons.
Jonathan Bailey
Yeah. Yeah.
Jimmy Fallon
Fun fact.
Jimmy Faux
You were the youngest female cast member ever.
Jonathan Bailey
I was, yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Congratulations.
Jimmy Fallon
Pretty fun little history.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. Was it fun going back and seeing everybody?
Jonathan Bailey
It was so fun. And, you know, the pressure was not on. Cause I wasn't performing. So I felt like, okay, I can, like chill out and, you know, relax as an audience member. And then for good nights, I didn't really realize that we would all go on stage.
Jimmy Faux
Isn't that cool?
Jonathan Bailey
That was so cool. It was just the sea of, like every celebrity and everybody that's been on the show and just, you know, every talented, creative person that you love. And all of a sudden it was Tom Hanks. And then Paul McCartney was like in my face saying hello. And I introduced myself to him and I was like, I'm Abby. I didn't personally work with him. He was a musical guest, I think, when I was there, but I didn't meet him then. And so I met him on stage that night and I was like, I'm Abby. I was a cast member a long, long time ago. And he was like, well, couldn't have been like that long ago, right?
Jimmy Faux
Yeah, of course.
Jonathan Bailey
But, yeah. And then a joint was passed around, like at that. At that moment, really on the stage. Yeah. And so I wasn't in that section. Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
So there was.
Jonathan Bailey
We're all just kind of in a little huddle. Paul Vanessa Bear, Emile Joaquim, who's a great new cast member. Yeah. And I'm not gonna say who partook in this, but this was like a dream. Blunt rotation coming to life. That actually.
Jimmy Faux
Wow.
Jonathan Bailey
Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
That's unbelievable.
Jonathan Bailey
So then that's all I remember.
Jimmy Faux
There you go. All right. That's a great story. That's all you need to remember. That's cool.
Brandi
Yeah.
Jonathan Bailey
Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Abby, you've been crushing it on the Bear, by the way. Congrats on everything. Oh, my gosh. The Ice Chips episode everyone was talking about from last season. Here's one review says the Bear. Season three's Ice Chips is a soul stirring stunner that lets Abby Elliott and Jamie Lee Curtis shine. Congratulations.
Jonathan Bailey
That's awesome.
Jimmy Faux
That's how you do. I'm so happy for you.
Jonathan Bailey
Thank you. I appreciate that. It was such a gift to get to work with Jamie. She's so incredible. And yeah, I had been pregnant season two, and I kind of brought my pregnancy to them and I was nervous about how it would turn out. And then they wrote this incredible birthing scene. And so between Seasons two and three, I gave birth to my son, and I knew that I was gonna get to do this, and so I knew it was with my fake mother on the show Jamie, Donna. And so I had my mom in my birthing, in my labor room, and she was filming my contractions so I could go back and watch my contractions to try and emulate them.
Jimmy Faux
You were a vested actor. Oh, my gosh. I mean, wow.
Jonathan Bailey
What I didn't realize was that she would film the entire birth.
Jimmy Faux
Mom, stop filming. Mom, edit this. Mom, edit this. Yeah.
Abby Elliott
Geez.
Jonathan Bailey
But, you know. Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
You ended up able to do what was. And Jamie Lee is just the best.
Jonathan Bailey
She's the best.
Jimmy Faux
No, she can't. She's awesome. She's so fun.
Jonathan Bailey
She's so supportive too. Like, I was so intimidated to work with her, and then as soon as I met her, like, she just gives you, like, the tightest squeeze and hug, and it just, like, makes you feel safe.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. You know, she's one in a million. She truly is. Season four of the Bears streaming now on Hulu. What do we say about what's happening this season? How do we set it up this season?
Jonathan Bailey
I mean, for my character, Sugar's a new mom, so she's navigating motherhood and, you know, working at the restaurant, which is, you know, the thing that all new moms, working moms have to have to deal with is how do I give 100% to both?
Jimmy Faux
Yeah.
Jonathan Bailey
And then at the restaurant, you know, the clock is ticking. Some stakes are higher, and the crew has to kind of adapt and navigate to some new challenges.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. Do people. When you go to a restaurant now, do people just shout you out and be like, oh, my gosh, I get.
Jonathan Bailey
Yeah. At restaurants especially, because they kind of feel like I work there.
Jimmy Faux
Yes. You know, yes, chef.
Jonathan Bailey
Yeah, I get a lot of yes, chefs.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah.
Jonathan Bailey
I got a sup, bursado.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah.
Jonathan Bailey
It was just so cool and. Yeah. Yeah.
Jimmy Faux
Abby elliott, everybody.
Jimmy Fallon
Season four of FX's the Bear is.
Jimmy Faux
Streaming now on Hulu.
Jimmy Fallon
Brandi and Monica join us after the break. Stick around, everybody.
The Roots
Abby Elliot rising up out of the flames like a phoenix Training to carry the weight of my brain like a genius. Sow the seeds. We'll see whose thumb is the greenest. If I said it, I mean, I did it because I need it. I eat, sleep. It's red hot hip hop loving MC in front of an audience that's ever been seen.
Jimmy Faux
Our next guests are Grammy winning, multi platinum selling music icons who have sold over 70 million records between Them for the very first time. They are going on tour together with the Boy is Mine Tour, which kicks off this fall. Everyone please welcome Brandi and Monica. Come on now.
Jimmy Fallon
Come on.
Jimmy Faux
We are so excited that you're here. Woo.
Jimmy Fallon
Oh, my gosh.
Jimmy Faux
This is the biggest thing and the freshest news, by the way, because just yesterday you announced the Boy is Mine tour. And this is. It's happening. Tickets go on sale Ticketmaster this Friday. But let's talk about this. How long has this been on your mind to do this, this idea of the tour?
Monica
Shall I say it?
Jimmy Faux
Yeah.
Monica
27 years.
Jimmy Faux
27 years. 27 years in the making. And now it's finally here.
Monica
Yes. It's divine timing.
Jimmy Faux
Now it's perfect timing. Everyone's going nuts. The tour is named after your legendary duet, the Boy is Mine, which was released in 1998. Okay, let's go. Let's go back to the beginning for a minute. Brandi, is it true you got the idea for this song from watching a Jerry Springer episode?
Monica
Yes, I was a huge Jerry Springer.
Jimmy Faux
F it true. Me too.
Monica
One of the topics was the Boy is Mine, and I'm like, oh, my God. Song idea. Let's do this.
Jimmy Faux
And when did you two meet? Did you know each other before you recorded?
Monica
Well, I was always a fan of hers, and I wanted to work with her, so I called her up and asked her to be a part of the song, and she said yes. And here we are.
Jimmy Faux
And that's the way you remember it as well.
Brandi
Well, that's exactly how it happened. She was working with Rodney Jerkins and LaShawn Daniels, and they were all putting together some incredible music. And when I first heard the song, I'm like, but people are gonna think we're fighting, right? And people still think we're fighting.
The Roots
Hear that?
Jimmy Faux
That's really funny.
Monica
So I don't know if it's the.
Brandi
Greatness of the song or something else, but it did just start something completely different. And so for us, but there is no fighting.
Jimmy Faux
This is a love affair. You guys love each other.
Monica
Yes.
Brandi
We're a musical marriage.
Jimmy Faux
Yes, exactly. You're right. Yeah.
Brandi
Yeah. It is a musical.
Jimmy Faux
Thank you. The Boy is Mine comes out, ended up being number one for 13 straight weeks. Biggest hit ever. Could you even imagine that much success when you were recording it?
Monica
Absolutely not. I mean, who knew? 13 weeks is a long.
Jimmy Faux
It's a long time time.
Monica
And you didn't know that when you're creating it. Like, you hope for that, but here's.
Jimmy Faux
You guys winning the Grammy for it. By the way, were you excited about. Yeah.
Brandi
Oh, so excited.
Monica
I actually ran to the stage.
Jimmy Faux
You ran to.
Monica
Yes. My composure was completely gone and called me.
Brandi
And here's the thing. She leaves me because I have on these heels and I have on Chanel Runway, and it's flowing, so I'm tiptoeing slowly behind.
Jimmy Fallon
Of course.
Jimmy Faux
Of course.
Brandi
And then when I get up there, she's like, sorry, girl, we just want a Grammy.
Jimmy Faux
I'm.
Abby Elliott
The Grammys.
Monica
Yes.
Brandi
Grammys.
Jimmy Faux
It's the Grammys. You got to get up there. It's got to get exciting. I mean, come on. That's one in a zillion right there. And then cut to 25 years later, you get a call from Ariana Grande, who says that, can I do a remix of a song called the Boy Is Mine.
Monica
Boy Is Mine reuniting us. She did.
Brandi
Yes, she did. I think it was how personable that she was that made us feel so comfortable because we've been very adamant. Just leave history as it is.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah. Don't mess with it.
Brandi
Don't mess with it. But she. Right. But it's like the integrity of it was still there. And the fact that she was consistently. My daughter Leah is only 11, and we've been watching her on Victorious for a long time. So when she FaceTimed me, she's like, mom. Mom.
Jimmy Faux
Oh, my God.
Brandi
Mom. And. And I. I was like, yeah. I mean, you know, she calls me all the time. So.
Jimmy Faux
Someone that really inspired you both was Whitney Houston. And I. I couldn't help but think about Whitney and what she would think. I know what she would think about everything you're doing today. What do you think she would be.
Monica
I think she would be very, very proud of us.
Brandi
She would be sarcastic finally.
Monica
Yes, but.
Jimmy Faux
Right, Finally.
Brandi
But she'd be very ecstatic for us because when she would see us together, it was something special. And we had a chance to really share moments with her together. We were about to do a tribute, Right. And so we are all on borrowed time. You never know what may happen. And we didn't know that that would be our last time seeing her. So it allowed us to share. We have a lot of special moments that just continue to go on and on. But her influence is all over us. Far beyond music. The love unmatched. The love.
Jimmy Faux
That's fantastic. I gotta say, I gotta ask. Cause everyone's talking. Could this mean you guys would record some new music together?
Monica
I think it opens the door for sure. It does you down, Monica.
Jimmy Faux
I mean, what do you think? Brandi, Monica, what do you. Right.
Brandi
We need to.
Jimmy Faux
You're gonna be on tour, right? You get a little studio tour bus going with you guys?
Brandi
Oh, no, now we're not doing the studio tour bus. Yeah, the studio tour bus. Listen, we're seasoned women.
Monica
Oh, okay.
Brandi
We need proper rest.
Jimmy Faux
Yeah, proper rest. Yeah. Okay.
Brandi
We're going to 24 cities. So what we're gonna do is just be smart about it. We'll start working on some music immediately.
Monica
Like in a moment.
Brandi
Am I talking outta turn? No, not at all. You know, we'll start working on the music immediately, and then we can just be promoting it when we're on the road. But no tour bus. Studios. That's for the rappers.
Jimmy Faux
All right.
Jonathan Bailey
Okay.
The Roots
All right, all right.
Jimmy Faux
When you have a song, please come back to our show. We'd love to talk about it and have you perform or do something, but either way, we're so excited that you're here tonight. Thank you so much. Your Tour kicks off October 16th.
Jimmy Fallon
Tickets go on sale this Friday on Ticketmaster. Brandi and Monica, everybody. Check out the Boy is Mind tour this fall. More Tonight show after the break. Stick around, everybody. My thanks to Jonathan Bailey, Abby Elliott, Brandi and Monica. And the Roots right there from Philadelphia.

Summary of "Zohran Mamdani’s Mayoral Upset Over Andrew Cuomo Signals Desire for Change" Episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Release Date: June 26, 2025
The episode kicks off with host Jimmy Fallon engaging the audience with his signature humor, focusing on the sweltering New York City heatwave. Joking about the extreme temperatures reaching 98 degrees, Jimmy humorously compares the heat to being "a 711 hot dog" and shares relatable anecdotes about the discomfort caused by the weather.
Notable Quote:
"[01:03] Jimmy Fallon: ...it's been three days of relentless heat. Now I know what it feels like to be a 711 hot dog."
