Juliane Maxwald is a licensed psychoanalyst, couples therapist, and an AASECT certified Sex Therapist with more than two decades of experience helping individuals and couples navigate challenges such as low desire, infidelity, anxiety, burnout, and compulsive behaviors. Her work focuses not only on symptom relief, but on uncovering the deeper emotional patterns that shape how we love, work, and connect.

Juliane serves on the faculty of the New York Graduate School of Psychoanalysis and the Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, where she teaches, supervises, and mentors clinicians across the country.

She is also the author of two recently published books:Psychoanalytic Sex Therapy: Exploring the Unconscious Life of Sexuality - a clinician's guide to working with erotic symptoms, fantasy, trauma, and relational repair; AND Talking About Sex: A Guide to Confidence, Connection and Communication - a practical and compassionate guide designed to help individuals and couples build greater confidence, connection, and communication around sexuality.
