Foreign. Sower Nation Today is Monday, May 25th, in the year of our Lord 2026. I'm Dan Wilt and this is your Wake Up Call. Today we're beginning a new series on the Wake Up Call. It's called all the Things Everyday Ministry in the Power of of the Spirit. Some time ago, JD came to me and he's going to get a break now through this season so we can prepare for the next one. And he's going to be popping in here and there along the next 45 days of our time together, our daily meetings with Jesus. But we were talking about a focus on the Wake Up Call that would take us into this idea of what were all the things that Jesus began to do every single day of his life. We talk about all the things related to our own lives, related to our schedules and our errands and our relationships and all the things we have to do. And if someone says, what do you have to do? We say all the things. All the things. Well, what happened when Jesus did all the things that he did? The sick were healed. Outcasts were embraced and loved. Fearful souls were seen. They were known. They were ministered to by the love and the power, the compassion of Jesus moving in that way. All the things that Jesus did every day welcomed awakening. Awakening in individual hearts like your heart and mine, and awakening in entire communities of people from 1 to 1 to 1 to 1. As JD often talks about how awakening moves, it moves at the the pace of friendship in relationships. But it's that moment of transformation that was part of the all the Things ministry of Jesus. Then here we are on Pentecost Monday. Jesus rises from the dead. 40 days later, he ascends to the Father. 10 days after that, there's a rushing, a sound like a mighty rushing wind in an upper room with 120 disciples. And then tongues of fire light on them. They are filled with the Holy Spirit, what we call the birth of the church. And they move move into the world in awakening ministry by the love of God that has met them and the power of the Spirit moving through them. Jesus fully intended to continue to do his ministry through the ecclesia, through the church. And that's what this series all the Things Everyday Ministry in the Power of the Spirit is about. And we have a fun journey ahead of us every day in our meetings with Jesus. So I'd encourage you get a hold of the journal. There's everyday entry spaces within each of these for journaling. There are activations, there are prompts. You can do it yourself. You can do it with a group, you can do it with a whole congregation. We have good moments of transformation and awakening joy ahead of us in these times of gathering together in the presence of Jesus. So wake up, sleeper. Rise from the dead and Christ will shine on you. Let's pray together our prayer of consecration as we begin. Jesus, I belong to you. I lift up my heart to you. I set my mind on you. I fix my eyes on you. I offer my body to you as a living sacrifice. Jesus, we belong to you. And we're praying in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Today's entry is titled all the Things do what Jesus does with him and our passage is from Acts 1:1 2 Hear the word of the Lord in my former book Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven. After giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles, he had chosen the Word of the Lord. Today we begin a journey together I believe will be life changing for all of us. There's a small but mighty phrase found in Acts 1, verses 1 to 2 that also happens to be a phrase used by many 20 or 30 somethings in my life on a daily basis. These three little words, when put together, provide a kind of shorthand for the long list of activities, tasks, opportunities that vie for our attention on any given day. It pops up when a question like what are you doing today? Is asked. All the things. Comes the answer, I'm doing all the things. All the things in one translation. Acts 1, verses 1 to 2 says, in the first account I composed O Theophilus, concerning all the things that Jesus began to do and to teach. Let's sit with that a moment. All the Things in the context of the life of a follower of Jesus, all the Things is about all the things that Jesus did, that Jesus does, and that Jesus taught us to do with him. These are the things that you and I are called, invited to be about every single day as apprentices of Jesus. These are troubled and troubling times when the proclamation of the gospel through words can't be heard through the din of the Internet and the news noise that surrounds us every day. A passage like 1 Corinthians 2:4:6 becomes more relevant, more vital for the body of Christ to embrace than ever before. Here it is. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power so that your faith might not Rest on human wisdom, but on God's power. A demonstration of the Spirit's power. Yes, our words matter. But friends, without a demonstration of the Spirit's power moving through a loving person willing to step beyond their fears, to partner with the Father in undoing the works of the evil one, we simply won't see much spiritual progress in this generation. But when ordinary believers combine all the things that Jesus did and said with obedience and and discernment, we are able to move in the power of the Holy Spirit, a power that breaks down strongholds and opens hearts to the Savior. So what are all the things that Jesus did and taught that we'll explore? Jesus preached the Kingdom of God. Then he backed up his message with a ministry. He healed the sick, he raised the dead, he delivered the demonized, he loved the unlovel, and he touched lives in myriad dramatic ways. But then, and here it is, Jesus invited, called and commissioned, which means commissioned his disciples to do all the same things with Him. Let's imagine that we are taking a long daily walk together in these meetings with Jesus over 45 days, considering all the things Jesus did and all the things that you and I are commissioned to do with Him. Each day we'll consider passages that reveal something about what Jesus began to do and to teach and that speak to the ministry he has passed on to us and does through us. Most days, I'll share a short story at the beginning of the entry that highlights something Jesus actually did in someone's life through an ordinary Christian who was willing to be obedient to God's voice. Most stories will be from my own experience, but I'll also include the stories of others. Let me just put a parentheses in here. The reason that I'm going to share many personal stories is because I want to get under the hood behind scenes of the kinds of things we're feeling, the impressions we're getting, the moments we're in, and what being real human beings is like as we move in the power of the Holy Spirit, as we respond in obedience to something we see and sense the Father doing. And that's why I'll use a lot of my own stories and as well draw on stories of others. Then we'll look at how we can partner with the Holy Spirit in doing what Jesus did and does. We'll learn how to see what the father is doing, John 5, 19, 20, and then do it with Him. We'll learn about the Kingdom of God, about being apprentices of Jesus, and about getting out of our own way so we can get into God's way. And at the conclusion of each entry, along with our prayer and journaling prompt will be an activate section. I love this part. We're all going to do this together. This is what you can do. Next step to help you translate what we're learning together into simple real world action. And along the way, I'll share more about this later. We're going to be collecting Holy Spirit stories in a big way over this season, so get prepared to share what God begins to do do in you and through you. During the series. If someone asks you what you're doing today for the next several weeks, let's all share the same answer. We are doing all the things. I'm doing. You're doing all the things. So here's our prayer for today. Lord Jesus, I am awakening. I am awakening to the reality that the words on the pages of the Gospels and the New Testament have something to do with me. Something to do with how you want to love others through me. Show me the role I am to play in the lives of the people I meet today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. And here are our journal prompts. And again, there's lots of journal space in this book, in this collection of the daily entries. And all the questions and activations are here. So journal this in your all the things journal. Have you believed that you have a part to play in what Jesus is doing today? Have you believed that? Have you owned that he fully intends to do his all the things ministry through you, through me, through his church? And the second question. Do you believe that with a mustard seed of faith, guided by the Holy Spirit, you can do what Jesus did with him? Hear that question again and journal this out. Do you believe that just with your mustard seed of faith who you are? You're no superhero. I'm no superhero. We're just people who have been loved by God and invited into something that is beyond us because it should be. Because we need the Spirit in us to do that. Ministry through us as willing hearts and willing lives, ready to spend ourselves on the gospel and all that it means for the transformation of people around us. Do you believe that with your mustard seed, guided by the Spirit, that you can actually do what Jesus did with him? Take some time and answer that question honestly. That's all we're looking for. Here is honesty. And then here is today's activation. Today begin to ask the Lord to send you people, individual people over the next six weeks, people he is already at work within. Notice who he sends your way and begin writing in your all the Things journal. Document what God begins to do in your life and in theirs. He's going to help you to notice people. You're going to begin to have a sense that he's at work in their lives and you're going to begin to sense an invitation to begin to pray for them, to be aware of them. And the Lord may have more he wants to do in in them through your participation. So that's our activation for today. Begin to notice who God is sending your way. So this is an exciting series. I really am looking forward to all that God's going to do in me and in you and all of us together here in Sower Nation as we go and sow seeds of the Kingdom of with Jesus moving through us to do it. I just wanted to share something as we move toward singing a song that we're going to sing and worship with every single Monday of the series. But I want to read this from the Invitation to Awakening. We put this at the beginning of pretty much all of our recent seedbed books and it's something that JD wrote and I love these words. They'll just orient us to what this series is all about out and what our meetings with Jesus each day will focus on. He writes this yes, 2000 years hence since the resurrection of Jesus and the the ascension and the church's birth. 2000 years hence and more than 2 billion followers of Jesus later, this awakening movement of Jesus Christ and his Church stands stronger than ever. Billions of ordinary people the world over have discovered in Jesus Christ an awakened life they never imagined possible. Isn't that true? They have overcome challenges, defeated addictions, endured untenable hardships and suffering with unexplainable joy, and stared death in the face with the joyful confidence of eternal life. And here it is. They have healed the sick, gathered the outcasts, embraced the oppressed, loved the poor, contended for justice, labored for peace, cared for the dying, and yes, even raised the dead. We are being invited into the awakened life for our own benefit and good God's glory, and then for God to move through us in the world to bring others into that place of wholeness and fullness, of belovedness before Jesus and a truly awakened life. So our song that we're going to be singing every Monday together is a hymn, and it's actually probably my favorite hymn of my entire life. And it's the Doxology. And if you have your Our Great Redeemers praise hymnal in front of you, it's number 682. Through the series, I'm going to be leading us in acapella hymns and in contemporary worship songs as well. So we'll be singing a lot and worshiping together as we conclude each time. We're meeting with Jesus together, so let's turn our hearts toward him. Let's open ourselves to the presence of Father, Son and Holy Spirit here in us and with us as we sing. Praise God from who blessings flow? Praise him, O creature here below? Praise him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen. Amen. Well, let's get our seeds together today, and I'll see you on the field for the awakening. I'm Dan. Well, blessings.
