Early signs show the redistricting fight may be energizing voters more than Republicans expected. In South Carolina's recent runoff elections, early voting reached levels typically seen only in presidential years. In South Carolina’s 6th Congressional District, represented by Rep. James Clyburn, turnout jumped by more than 50 percent, despite an uncontested primary. That surge was driven largely by Black voters, who make up roughly 60 percent of registered Democrats in South Carolina. In another case regarding the DOJ's so called “anti-weaponization” fund, a federal judge said a lawsuit challenging its creation would proceed given the agency's continued refusal to confirm in writing what Blanche has said publicly, which is that the fund is dead.
