Councils are one of the most effective ways to accomplish our work, but some leaders and members do not fully understand how to efficiently contrubute to a council.

Being able to effectively assess means that a leaders knows the standard as well as knows what is actually happening. Few are experts on both and need help to become a more balanced assessor.

There are certain rules that apply to all (doctrines) and other rules that depend on the circumstance. Knowing the difference between the two is an essential skill for Christ-centered leaders.

An essential skill of Christ-centered leadership is the ability to find the balance between too much and too little. Leaders who fail to strike that balance often do harm to others. One key to finding that balance is to be a balanced leader.

Christ is the greatest example of Come Follow Me leadership as opposed to those who say, "Go and do."

Christlike leaders should follow the example of Heavenly Father and number, know and visit their sheep.

Too many leaders hover over their team or do each task themselves. Heavenly Father allows us to assist in His work, even with our imperfections. We should do the same with those we lead.

Christlike leadership means loving enough to correct and doing so appropriately.

Leadership means love. But love is different than the emotion of love.

The Savior has declared that those who appointed to be the greatest are also the least and servant of all.
