Hello, and welcome to this Life of Mine, the show where our incredible guests pick the places, people, possessions, music, and memories that have made them who they are. Joining me today is someone at the helm of a dynasty that dominates tv, social media, fashion, skincare, tequila, and so much more. She is one of the most successful, influential and powerful figures in the media industry, featuring in and overseeing multiple television shows, managing the careers of five of the planet's biggest stars, and still finding time for an afternoon martini. She's shared pretty much every inch of her life with us. The incredible highs, some shattering lows. But what she and her family have created has without question revolutionized what it means when we talk about a brand and popular culture is forever changed by her very existence. So, Mummager Kardashian, family CEO, are you ready to do this?
Kris Jenner
Oh, my God.
James
Are you ready? Then take us away.
Kris Jenner
I'm Kris Jenner. Welcome to this Life of Mine.
James
I'm so happy to see you.
Kris Jenner
Thank you for having me.
James
I really, really am.
Kris Jenner
Wow, what an introduction. Thank you.
James
It's true.
Kris Jenner
Well, that's lovely. Thank you.
James
But it is true. I don't think you could doubt anything I said, could you? In a sense.
Kris Jenner
Well, when I listen to it all in the same sentence or paragraph. It sounds overwhelming, but it is overwhelming. Yeah, I guess so. But one day at a time.
James
I actually think maybe your greatest strength is you really don't often have a rear view mirror. You're very, very rarely looking back. You're often just looking straightforward. What's next? How do I deal with it?
Kris Jenner
How do I.
James
How do we overcome it and what do we do?
Kris Jenner
Right, right. I'm very solution based, but I'm also very just. I have the greatest outlook on the next day because I have to. You know, I love what tomorrow's gonna bring.
James
Where does that come from, do you think?
Kris Jenner
I think faith. My faith. And I just feel like I believe that everything happens for a reason. And I'm so blessed to be here and have all these kids and all these opportunities and all these friends like you. And just everything that's happened to me, life, I feel like, is a blessing from God. So I just. I'm very. I try to be grateful and thankful every single day in the midst of a storm or not, but it's often a storm. Yeah.
James
And so today we're talking about a memory, a place, a person, a piece of music. But we're going to start with your possession. Okay, tell us the possession that you chose today.
Kris Jenner
My possession that I chose is my stuffed monkey named.
James
Okay.
Kris Jenner
Could you imagine that I would have a stuffed monkey named Annabelle?
James
Well, I had no idea what this would look like, and I had no idea at all. But we've got Annabelle right here.
Kris Jenner
Of course you do. Did you sneak into my closet?
James
I did not. Here is Annabelle.
Kris Jenner
This is Annabelle.
James
Right.
Kris Jenner
Isn't she cute? So, Annabelle. Annabelle. So when I was seven years old, I had a bump on my leg that appeared on my left near my knee very quickly, and it was about the size of an egg. And my parents were freaking, and so I went to the doctor. It ended up that they had to do an operation and my mom had to sign a piece of paper in those days that said if it was anything weird when they went in, they would have to amputate my leg. And so my parents had to sit in the waiting room of that surgery when I was 7 and wait to see what happened. When I came out, did I or did I not have to have such a dramatic procedure? And so, of course I didn't, which I will always be so thankful for. And my mom and my dad brought me Annabelle. And so Annabelle's been with me ever since. She was my good luck of getting through my surgery. When I was seven years Old. And so she's always with me. She's in my closet, she hangs out in the bedroom. You know, she's kind of like the guard of the bedroom suite at my house.
James
Because it was a bone tumor, right? Is that right? That's what you had. When did you know that this was really serious?
Kris Jenner
When? I guess immediately. I remember walking home from school one day and I fell on a curb with my friends. We were skipping along and the next day this big knot came up in my leg and it was a bone tumor. They just didn't know if it was malignant or not. So I got very lucky.
James
Have you given any.
Kris Jenner
Hi, James.
James
Hi, Annabelle. Have you given any thoughts which daughter will get Annabelle?
Kris Jenner
They're going to have to fight over it.
James
It'll be a full fight.
Kris Jenner
My kids will have.
James
It'll be a special on Hulu.
Kris Jenner
Yeah. You know what I did? I'm just leaving all my stuff to them and let them it out.
James
Great.
Kris Jenner
Like I don't even want to get into it.
James
So the bone tumor happened at seven. Annabelle comes home. You got your first job when you were 10, right. Which now the father of like a 12 year old son, it's inconceivable to me that he'd just be off working in a store. Where did you. Where were you working?
Kris Jenner
I was working in my grandmother's candle store and I started in the back room putting stock away. I graduated to gift wrap department, which it was just me. So I became the world's greatest gift wrap artist.
James
Okay, this explains a lot.
Kris Jenner
Learned that. And eventually I got to work out on the floor. And then as the years went by, I got to help with the customers and the cash register and we had an old fashioned, you know, cash register where you gave change. Yeah. And then when I became a teenager and I was in junior high and high school, my first job then was I worked in a donut shop. And my job was taking the scraper and scraping the glaze off of the floor.
James
Wow.
Kris Jenner
And I got free donut holes. So that was really fun.
James
I'd still do that job now that's. I was still.
Kris Jenner
I would do it together.
James
Yeah, correct.
Kris Jenner
Yeah. So I was. And then I would, you know, be on duty, sell. I was the first shift selling the coffee and donuts. And then I'd get on the bus and go to school.
James
Was this a family situation? Saying, look, Chris, you gotta bring some money in or was it you going, I just want to work Because I see the reward of it.
Kris Jenner
I think I wanted to work Because I saw the reward in it. Yeah.
James
So how old were you when you met Robert?
Kris Jenner
17.
James
So not long after this?
Kris Jenner
No.
James
So where did you meet?
Kris Jenner
At the Del Mar racetrack. And I wasn't old enough to bet, so I had to stand aside over it. I was standing next to a pillar in the area where people go up and make their bets at the window. And I probably look like I was, you know, 12. I thought it looked like I was 25. And Robert came up to me and said, you know, some fancy line and said, is your name Jackie? And I said, no. And he goes, well, what is your name? And I thought, oh, good one. Sliding right in. So that's the day I met Robert at the Del Mar racetrack.
James
And were you just in love instantly? Were you?
Kris Jenner
I thought he was really cute. And then we dated for a few years, and I went off and I became an airline stewardess for American Airlines.
James
Right, so this was at that time.
Kris Jenner
When you were dating all of that.
James
Right. I would love, you know, when people go, if you could go back in time, where would you go? And people go, oh, I'd go to the creation of the pyramids. I wouldn't. I would want to be on a plane being served by Christmas. Christiana, the air hostess, because I imagine you were exceptional at it.
Kris Jenner
You know, I think that's where I learned a lot of discipline and a lot of the things that I. The tools that I use today in different ways with people. And when you're in the. The personal service business, it's actually quite fascinating. You learn a lot really quickly, and you don't even realize it.
James
Yeah.
Kris Jenner
And so, yeah, I was really happy.
James
I could imagine you being so good at it. Do you like. Nice.
Kris Jenner
I was disciplined. Yeah, I was really disciplined, but with a smile. I was really proud.
James
Were you one of those really cruel air hostesses?
Kris Jenner
No, I was. I was really nice. Except if, like, some, you know, buddy was trying to hit on you and you just. I just learned to hold a really hot pot of coffee over someone's lap. And what did you say?
James
And you've really been doing that every day since. Metaphorically, in many ways.
Kris Jenner
Yeah. But it's great. It really builds someone's character, and it really does teach one about work ethic and about showing up and about no excuses and about responsibility and about helping others and about being a team. And when you're on a plane with 300 strangers or whatever it is, and you're a team of 12 that are running the show, there's a lot of decisions to be made sure. And a lot of hot fudge sundaes to eat.
James
Yes. So which of your daughters would make the best air hostess?
Kris Jenner
Chloe.
James
Yeah, I agree.
Kris Jenner
Definitely.
James
Yeah.
Kris Jenner
Chloe would have the galley organized. She'd redo the pantry. She'd have the pillows fluffed and the blankets folded.
James
So you worked on the airline for a year. You married Robert in 1978 when you were 22. You head off on your honeymoon, which brings us to your memory. Tell us the memory that you've chosen today.
Kris Jenner
Well, the memory I've chosen is the first time I had a baby. That's the memory. So I go on the honeymoon is where I made the baby.
James
Right. So you go off on the honeymoon.
Kris Jenner
You go off on the honeymoon, and nine months later, yeah, Courtney pops out. So that experience and what I was allowed to focus on during that period of time in my life was one of the best gifts because I enjoyed my pregnancy. It was the best feeling I've ever had. Like, pregnancy, to me, was the best thing I'd ever experienced, and I didn't want it to end. Like, a lot of women are like, oh, I don't like being pregnant, or it's hard, whatever. It was so great for me. And I just was very blessed with really healthy pregnancies and a great, you know, delivery. The minute I delivered Courtney, I felt like I wanted to do it all over again. I was like, oh, I hope I get that chance to do this again, because this is. This was amazing.
James
I mean, for anybody, anybody, the birth of your first child, birth of a daughter is a huge, huge event for you. I mean, like, you giving birth to these extraordinary. These people that go on to become these extraordinary women is, I mean, life changing, I would say, even on a different level to what it normally is. The path that your life took really, from that day on, I guess.
Kris Jenner
Right. Well, I think that I am so lucky. And I think back on that, and I think I've had so many different chapters of my life. Like, I had that chapter to have babies and be a stay at home mom. And, you know, I'm a nester, so I love my home to be a certain way. And I mean, when I think about the. Just the privilege and the gift of being able to. That was my focus and raising those kids, you know, for 10 or 12 years before I really had to concentrate on, you know, focusing on a career again. But, you know, between 10 and 15 years, I think I had the most idyllic, perfect situation where I feel like I could give my kids all the attention they deserved. And I lived this fabulous life.
James
Your commitment to family is, I think, inspiring, actually. Your, you know, it's worth saying, literally seconds before we started recording this, you're on FaceTime to one of your daughters, you're texting another one of your daughters. You are intent constantly to keep your family close all day long. Why do you think that is? Where does that come from?
Kris Jenner
I think it's just, you know, this sounds silly, but we're just sort of obsessed with each other. We just love looking forward to being with each other, to celebrating each other, to working with each other. You know, it's just every day I feel like there's something really exciting happening and we're all doing it together. And that's the joy. It's part of the reason that it's been so possible for us to do a television show. We're on our 25th season of shooting a show together, and most people that get to a place in life where they're working or a career, whatever it may be, they do it by themselves. And for us, we've been able to do it together. And that's really remarkable to me. So our own support system, and, you know, we obviously need our friends and extended family, but I think I'm so lucky that we get to have each other to get through anything with.
James
Well, and you do get through some stuff.
Kris Jenner
Yeah, a little bit.
James

Kris Jenner
Well, my favorite place is Capri, Italy, which it is and holds so many special memories for me because in the 80s, Robert and I went on a vacation and we went through a little bit of France and Italy and took this whole trip and we ended up in Capri. And it was one of the most magical places, the most magical place I had ever experienced. From the culture to the food to the beauty to the water to the mountains, to the people, the shopping, the. All of it. And we had the time of our lives. And we stayed at this hotel called the Kisi Sana. And it was the hotel in the middle of Capri that everybody sits out front, has coffee, and then the back it's this fabulous pool where every man at the pool was wearing a Speedo because in the 80s that's what men did. And you know, every single man at the pool had on a Speedo, no matter what body type. It was fabulous. And, you know, we were out sunbathing and then we would go to the. The Blue Grotto, I believe it's called, where you go under the. You go in a little boat and you lay down and the rowboat guy takes you underneath and into this fabulous cave that's as blue as your ey and it's just really stunning. And so we did everything that a tourist would do in Capri. And I always, when I left there, I just remember thinking, I cannot wait to come back and have this amazing food at these places that I had never experienced before. It was just beautiful, all of it. And I always thought about it and I never got back there for many, many years. And then we had a TV show called Keeping up with the Kardashians. And first year they asked Kim and I to go do a world tour and go to like seven or eight countries. And we did. And I said, well, we'd love to come, but as part of the trip, can we please stop? I'd love to show Kim where her dad and my favorite place was. And they said, sure, we'd love to stop with you. So they let us spend, I think, two nights there. So we pull up and we get to the hotel and when we walked in, we go to our rooms and we're I was so excited and I'm like putting my stuff down and I'm about to run down to Kim's room and like, jump on the bed and scream and go, aren't we lucky? And I hear this blood curdling scream coming down the hall and she's screaming, mom. And I'm like, oh, my God. Oh, my God. And I go running down to her room and I go, what?
Niecy Nash Betts
What?
Kris Jenner
What happened? She goes, this place is really old. What in the world? Where have you taken me? And I go, kim, it's supposed to be old. This is culture. This is beauty. This is Italy. This is vintage. I used every word in the book. And this was many years ago. And she was like, where are we? But she loved it. And now we all go back as often as we can.
James
So set the scene for me. Me and you go. It's just me and you. One night in Capri. Separate rooms.
Kris Jenner
Oh, good. Okay, good. Glad you clarified.
James
Just to be clear.
Kris Jenner
And Annabelle.
James
You and Annabelle?
Kris Jenner
Yeah.
James
What are we wearing? What does one wear in Capri?
Kris Jenner
Oh, well, it depends on the month, but I'm assuming it's August with summer.
James
I'm imagining linen.
Kris Jenner
You're in white linen. You are in head to toe white linen.
James
Okay.
Kris Jenner
I am in this fabulous Dolce and Gabbana get up. That's to the ground with fabulous Hermes sandals and Hermes bag.
James
Flowing. I imagine the wind takes it in a flow.
Kris Jenner
The wind is flowing.
James
Okay.
Kris Jenner
Yeah.
James
Am I wearing some sort of hat?
Kris Jenner
You're wearing a white fabulous straw fedora.
James
Okay. Drink. What am I drinking?
Kris Jenner
You're drinking an Aperol Spritz.
James
Oh, God.
Kris Jenner
On the rocks.
James
Yeah.
Kris Jenner
Of course.
James
No one's going to give me an Aperol Spritz straight without. Without the rocks.
Kris Jenner
My Aperol Spritz.
James
Hold the rocks.
Kris Jenner
Yeah, hold the rocks. My Aperol Spritz matches my Dolce and Gabbana.
James
Right. Okay.
Kris Jenner
And I'm all coordinated.
James
And my linen, 30 seconds after I've tried that aperospritz has now just dotted orange.
Kris Jenner
It's tie dye. It's tie dye.
James
I feel like marrying Robert introduced your life into a whole new social scene. Would that be fair?
Kris Jenner
Oh, yeah. When I met Robert, I met some of the best friends I'll ever have. That time in my life was very interesting because he was always working very hard and always doing amazing business with associates and this and that. And I think I learned a lot through osmosis. Just being around that lifestyle and those people. It does teach you a lot. And you don't even Realize you're learning something.
James
He sounds like an extraordinary man.
Kris Jenner
Great guy. The best. Nobody better.
James
Well, let's stay with Robert for just a minute. The person you picked as your person for the show is related to Robert.
Kris Jenner
His first cousin, Cece.
James
Tell me about cece.
Kris Jenner
I could have picked my mother or obviously my kids, but I think to honor somebody today, I would like to honor cece. When I met Robert, I met Cece. And cece was and is to this day, like she's my day to day. She's my ride or die. She's my best friend. She's my biggest and my kids biggest cheerleader of life. And no matter what's happening in her life, she's the friend that is cheering you on and just being positive and happy about anything, you know, always there with perfect solutions and support and genuine love. And we all need a CC in our life. And she's just so grateful for everything that happens to her. So she's such an inspiration to me. And yeah, I get emotional.
James
I'm so thrilled that you picked cece.
Kris Jenner
Cece is my heart.
James
Yeah. It's amazing. And I think it's so wonderful to hear about someone that I haven't really heard you talk about before, Even in like 25 seasons of the show. Really too much.
Kris Jenner
She. She's been on the show, especially in the beginning.
James
Yes. Back in the early days.
Kris Jenner
Back in the day.
James
Yeah.
Kris Jenner
And, yeah. And it's interesting because she does have a lot of challenges in her life. And I feel like she's so deserving of anything, any blessing, any gift of health or something good that happens to her. She has such a pure heart. We love Cece. She's a hero.
James
Kim was Kimberly on the show. And as you know, choosing a favorite person, if you will, is almost impossible.
Kris Jenner
Yeah.
James
But this is what Kim said when she was on the show.
Kim Kardashian
My person is definitely my mom, Kris Jenner. There is no one like her. When we do interviews, we give so much love and respect to our dad because he's not here. And we honor that. That sometimes I feel like it takes away from what we would say to her. And she deserves all the love and respect. She is the warmest. Just loves to have a good time. Loves a good vodka. Has always been like that. I mean, she just loves life. She loves her kids, she loves her friends.
James
She loves.
Kim Kardashian
She loves to have a good time. And she taught us how to make a home. She taught us how to cook. She taught us, like, how to make a bed. I mean, she literally took all of Those things really, seriously. There's no better teacher on this planet for us. She takes care of us, we take care of her. She's just the greatest mom on the planet. She's the greatest manager on the planet. But she's a mom first. And I feel so good in my heart and soul that she knows how we feel about her.
Kris Jenner
Oh, why did you do that? Oh, that makes me feel so good. Yeah, that was really sweet. Does anybody have a Kleenex?
James
Pretty amazing to hear one of your children talk about you in such a way.
Kris Jenner
It's so amazing and beautiful. I just. I feel like. I know I keep saying it, but I. Every day I'm grateful and so thankful and so blessed for this family that I have that I don't take for granted for one moment. Not one day goes by that I don't, you know, want to let them know how much I love them. So that was really special to hear.
James
You remarried, two new daughters. You really have to kind of learn how to be a manager on the job.
Kris Jenner
Yeah. In real time.
James
How did this happen? How do you just suddenly go, hey, guys, I think I'm going to be the manager? Or did you always know that this is what you were going to do?
Kris Jenner
No, I just think in the beginning, it was survival. And then, like everything else I do, I wanted to get it right. That's just my nature. If I do something, I want to do it really well. If I'm making coffee on the airplane to pass out to passengers, I want to be the best coffee girl in the world. My grandmother used to tell me, go brush your teeth. And every time we brushed our teeth, because she lived across the street from us, we had to clean the sink. But in those days, it was like Comet or Ajax. You know, those really. And we'd be throwing it in the sink, and we had a scrub brush and the whole thing, every single time. And she would say, if all you're going to do is scrub a sink, be the best sink scrubber that ever existed. And I was. I polished that sink like it was the top of the Chrysler Building. You know, it was just so shiny and beautiful. And then on Friday nights, my mom would. Before we were allowed to go out, when I was a teenager, we had shag carpet, right? And it was red. And we. I used to have to rake the shag carpet before I was allowed to go out. And I was the best carpet raker you've ever seen in your whole life.
James
And that's not a euphemism.
Kris Jenner
No, no. So anyway, all those things lead to this place of being the best you can be and doing something that you're unfamiliar with and getting it right and trying to just, you know. And I'm a quick learner, and I think I have really good common sense, and I have good organizational skills, and I'm a good people person. All things that I learned along the way. So I think that helped.
James
I mean, you're so at the center of the boom of what we now know as reality tv. You are. So if everyone makes a documentary about the history of reality tv, there will be a huge chunk of it dedicated to you and you, your family. Why is it, do you think, as a family, that you are all okay sharing so many facets of your life?
Kris Jenner
Maybe because we're a little mad. I don't know. I think, listen, we started doing a show, we were showing our lives, and we have complete control over what we put out there in the world. And so, yeah, it really was a way to be able to control that narrative so it wouldn't go somewhere that wasn't truthful or that was, you know, too hyped up in the press. And we've stayed ever so true to what our story is.
James
I mean, the show has this incredible core, this foundation of love in it. But then there's also these moments, which are often the most written about and talked about, the most explosive parts of these, the fights and the arguments that happen in it. How hard is it for you when you're in these extreme fights between them? So like Kim and Kourtney, for example, is one that's very recent.
Kim Kardashian
You cannot stand someone else being the center of attention. You came to my wedding. You couldn't be happy. I was so happy for you.
Kris Jenner
I was so.
Kim Kardashian
Why would I not be happy for you? You hate us. You're a different person. We all talk about it. We don't need you guys anymore.
James
How do you. As in wearing one shoe manager, one shoe mother, which I know is the more important. What do you do in a situation like that where two of your daughters are like, I hate you?
Kris Jenner
I guess it's hard. It's hard because, listen, the last little argument that Kourtney and Kim had, it wasn't at all about jealousy or not wanting the other to do well. That's never been the problem, thank God. And they always root for each other and want the best for each other that I am so proud of. But I think one just thought that the other was stepping on toes of a business relationship that was being established, and it Was very. It was a business thing and I am the one who puts together the business deals. And it can be very touch and go when you don't consider how someone else is going to feel and you assume, ah, this person's going to be great with that. And, you know, so navigating that whole thing was a little interesting, you know, and sometimes I just have to have days because it does get intense where I just go, I know Courtney. Can you believe? And then you get on with Kim and you go, kim, I know Courtney's like crazy, you know, trying to make everybody feel good. And I thought, oh, we just have to get through this and make it okay for everybody. So I'm just happy that they feel that they have the most intimate relationship with the viewers and the fans and that they trust what they share. Do you know what I mean?
James
For sure.
Kris Jenner
I feel like if they're vulnerable enough to express themselves and one another and then air things that aren't so desirable or flattering or a little embarrassing or even cringeworthy, like, oh, that's hard to watch. But they still feel like the people that they do it for, the very job that they have that shares their life with others and those others are going to take care of them and just say, okay, you're safe with us. You know, we're your audience. And I hate the word fan, but you know, the people that watch and that love the show and I feel like that's what we do it for.
James
Would it be fair to say you've got a public Persona that you've kind of curated in a sense of the glasses and the bag and the. It's not the you that I ever really recognize. If we're sat here now.
Kris Jenner
Yeah, well, if I had my sunglasses on and carried my bag right now, it'd be weird, right?
James
No, but it's not even that. I think it's more about an attitude. I guess the question is, do you feel that you, because you are now the manager of these billion dollar companies that in some way, when you get up in the morning and you walk out and you are now having phone calls that aren't, and I mean this respectfully with a showrunner at E. Right, for a show, you are now talking to investors and funds and should this company be public and all of these types of things, that you need this kind of armor to get the respect that you deserve in those situations?
Kris Jenner
No, I don't think that. I think it's funny because you know how people have this perception and I used to Be very offended by that. When we first started filming, I thought, why did these people think I'm like this when I'm like the exact opposite? I'm like, don't they know I have Annabelle? Like, I'm not that girl. But I remember 70s, 80s, 90s, I would go to a sports event. My sunglasses, my big coat, my bag, my boots. I had been wearing the same stuff my entire adult life. So I think part of my fashion statement that then gets perceived as a personality, you know, thing is a little off putting, which then became just like a shield, like, okay, well, I'm just going to go with it because I can throw on this coat, my sunglasses and walk this way and nobody's going to mess with me maybe, right? So I think there's part of it that works for me now in that way. But I don't think it ever started off that way. It started off that way that I was just really, when I was 25 years old, just trying to look cool, like a cool mom. If I put these big Chanel sunglasses on, it's going to look fabulous, you know. But I think that the way that I carry myself or the way that I look isn't meant to be intimidating. It was at first meant to be fashionable and then turned into, I don't know. Yeah, yeah. An armor.
James
Do you think you'll ever retire?
Kris Jenner
No.
James
Why?
Kris Jenner
Because my mom retired when she was 82 and she talks about her job every single day when we're together. And she will say to me, oh, my job kept me young and with purpose and with joy and with. It gives you all sorts of different qualities in your life. It's finding solutions for things. It's your organizational skills, it's your people skills. It's the love of life. It's, you know, being. Having somewhere to go, getting up, getting dressed, presenting yourself to the world a certain way and interacting with the people that you love.
James
Let's move to a piece of music which I know that this, out of all of them, was the one that you struggled with the most.
Kris Jenner
Yeah.
James
Tell us the piece of music that you've chosen.
Kris Jenner
The piece of music that I chose was Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra.
James
Fly me to the moon Let me play among the stars Let me see what spring is like On Jupiter and Mars why is this song so special to you?
Kris Jenner
For so many reasons. Frank Sinatra is so fabulous. And I actually got to see him in concert in Palm Springs once at a golf tournament. He had the Frank Sinatra Open. I think I went to one of his last performances of his life. Life maybe. And he was there with his wife Barbara and performed some beautiful music.
James
You.
Kris Jenner
I know when I was married to Robert Kardashian, one of his favorite artists was Frank Sinatra and Charles Arsnivore, which is like the Armenian Frank Sinatra. And so that meant a lot during that chapter of my life. And then having Palm Springs and the desert as part of our lives in such big way. Frank Sinatra is like, you just think about Frank Sinatra when you think about the desert. So when we go to Palm Springs, I always have music playing in my house all the time. And sometimes I have on when I go to the desert, the Frank Sinatra channel. And it just Frank Sinatra Music 247 makes me so happy. I feel like it takes me to another time.
James
Much more than this. I did it my way.
Kris Jenner
And one of the best memories of mine and the song Fly Me to the Moon was my son Rob was on Dancing with the Stars, and he actually, in front of 40 million people live on live TV, came in second place, runner up on the whole show. And the song that he chose at the end to dance to was his dad's favorite song, which was Fly Me to the Moon.
James
Dancing the Foxtrot.
Kris Jenner
Rob Kardashian and his partner Cheryl Burke. And sometimes when I get get really nostalgic and I want to think about that, I look it up, I Google it, and I cry through the whole thing, and I just sit there and cry and cry. It's the sweetest dance. But it was such a great tribute to his dad and that he wanted to do that. And he was so articulate about it, so great in the interview that they did and danced his heart out. So the song makes me really happy for many reasons.
James
You just put the dash into Kardashian. I'm telling you, Frank Sinatra's Fly Me to the Moon is a wonderful way to wrap up this show. Your prized possession, Kris Jenner, is your stuffed toy monkey. Annabelle, your memory is the first time you had a child. Your place is Capri in Italy. Your person is Sisi, and your music is Fly Me to the Moon. Christiana, thank you for sharing this life of yours.
Kris Jenner
Thank you, James. I love you. Thank you for having me.
James
Oh, I love you too. Next week is this.
Niecy Nash Betts
I am Niecy Nash Betts. Welcome to this life of mine. I've been funny all my life, but it wasn't until my brother was murdered that I was like, well, I don't know what to do, but I know I can make my mama laugh. And so I began to perform at the foot of her bed. Every day I feel like I heard a voice as audible as my own say to me, niecy, don't be a selfish heifer. It's other people out in this world suffering just like your mama. Pack this up and go spread it around. And I went outside and I said, my name is Niecy Nash and I'm funny. I had one line to say to Whoopi Goldberg, and every time I came out and said it, she started laughing. I said, hold up, stop. I said, sir, she keep laughing and it's messing up the scene. That's my story. This Life of Mine.
