https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Friday-Night-Club-18th-June-22.mp3 The Friday Night Club returns for another gaggle of tunes and a good few cans. Tonight Byrneos covers everything from Luke Kelly to The Housemartins to Girlschool, Derek does a day by day rundown of this weekend’s Dirtnap Showcase in Wisconsin and John spans genre’s from Primal Scream to Propaghandi. Sadly, Sean was pulled away at the last minute for quiet pints so it’s just the three eejits tonight. Tune in for the following bands in the following order. This week Byrneos gets stuck into Denmark, Poland and the Basque Country, Derek plays local bands in celebration of the return of local gigs, Sean plays music about bad weather and John of course plays a bit of Oasis and a bit of Hip Hop (among other things). https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/The-Friday-Night-Club-One-Year-Anniversary-Show.mp3 The Friday Night Club is Back!!! We’ve got the gang back together to celebrate the one year anniversary of our first show and to see if we have learned anything from the last 12 months. Judging by the lack of a professional sheen to the proceedings it would seem we haven’t learned a thing when it comes to putting together a radio show anyways. Tune in for the usual shite talkin and punk rockin. The following bands are played in the following order. https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/The-Friday-Night-Club-Presents-A-Punk-Christmas-and-a-Trip-Through-Old-Portland.mp3 For this week’s Friday Night Club, Byrneos and John play loads of Christmas songs and Derek takes a walk through the Oregonian music scene of the early 90’s. We were hopeful that Sean was going to make an appearance, but had to settle for playing a few songs in his honour at the end. Tune in for chats and tunes including the following bands played in the following order: The post The Friday Night Club Presents: A Punk Christmas and a Walk Down Memory Lane appeared first on Radioactive International.

https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/No-Sean-November-26-11.mp3 It’s another No Sean November here at the Friday Night Club. This week Byrneos throws down some heavier than normal tunes, Derek continues his week of fascination with Canadian bands with 12 Punk tunes from the Great White North and John keeps the skins and the hippies on their toes. https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/FNC-No-Sean-November.mp3 In a sure sign that we are heading for another lockdown, the Friday Night Club has returned. Well most of us have anyways, Sean is off swanning around Portugal. So we’ve got a few things to celebrate, namely the new Grit Album and to a lesser extent, Derek’s new Garage from around the world Spotify playlist project. Tonight its all about the punk through. Tune in for the following bands played in the following order: The pic at the top is taken from the hilarious D.I. album cover mentioned in the show. https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/The-Friday-Night-Club-Party-for-Two.mp3 This week it’s just John and Derek spinning tall tales and tunes. The rest of the lads apparently are back to living their best lives IRL. There’s even a set for Young Damo who was off drinking actual pints in an actual pub at the time of recording! None-the-less, Saturday nights are for cans, so this week there is a show to listen to on a Sunday while having a couple of straighteners. Tune in for: Gorilla biscuits N.O.T.A Totalitar Angry Samoans Black Flag Fear Prince Buster Max Romeo Linton Kwesi Johnson DAMO’s BIRTHDAY SET Easpa Measa Pulled Apart Mongolia The Epileptics Discharge Sham 69 Nirvana Melt Banana Ministry. https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Rock-Jihad-Radio-11th-September.mp3 Much like the old Rock Jihad Night in the International Bar, tonight’s show is full of cracking tunes and ridiculous stories told over the course of an increasingly incoherent evening. Tune in, turn it up way too loud, sit two feet in front of your speakers and try to talk to the person next to you, drink your weight in whatever lager you have on hand (make sure to piss on the floor of your own jacks), and you’ll be transported back to those heady Friday nights down in the basement of the Inter. Tune in for the following bands, played in a completely different order: Metallica, Big Black, Motorhead, Cunts, Red Fang, Coilguns, White Hills, Ho99o9, Wolfmother, Naked Raygun, The Melvins, Pere Ubu, Joe Jackson, Slift, Wizards of Firetop Mountain, Sunnata, Wipers The post Rock Jihad Radio 10th September 2021 appeared first on Radioactive International.

https://radioactiveinternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Friday-Night-Mid-August-Blowout.mp3 We at the Friday Night Club were as surprised as anyone that we actually all had stuff on the last few Fridays and couldn’t get together for a lockdown era bit of Zoom socialising, but the planets somehow aligned this week and the results are in. Those results are 2 hours of bangin tunes and the usual amount of shite talkin. Hopefully, the world will continue to open up and we’ll be able to do these in person at some point, but for now this is a pretty damn good way to spend an evening. (Apologies for the little bits of crackling and distortion…the computer needs a little lie down and some rest but should be fine in a few weeks.) Tune in for: Thanks to Two Headed Dog for the new banner colours! The post The Friday Night Club Presents: A Mid August Blowout appeared first on Radioactive International.
