Ken explains how the idea came together, where the title originated, and why humour is essential when creating animation for younger audiences.

He also opens up about the realities behind the finished product, from costly pilots and creative missteps to recognising when an idea needs more work. It is a candid look at the persistence, risk and constant refinement involved in getting an animated series right.

The conversation then turns to Peggy and Molly, Ken’s animated project centred on the unlikely friendship between a magpie and a Staffy. With comedians lending their voices to the production and Stig himself involved, the discussion quickly moves into behind the scenes stories, self promotion and classic This Week in Comedy chaos.
