B
We're back for another midweek, boys. Only Jimmy and Larry around getting silly after 2120 minutes with MacKenzie Thomas. Nearly the E girl supreme according to some headline that clearly was just going for clicks. But we.
C
And it works. We booked her.
B
We dove deep with her. It wasn't just about clicks and headlines.
C
No.
B
What's up, Lawrence? What are you wearing?
C
Wow.
B
Let me good boy fit today.
C
Let me try to get as vulnerable as our friend Mackenzie here. I'm wearing Valley boat shoes. The socks are socks with three S's. The shorts are vintage Patagonia standups. The popover is our legacy workshop Emporio Armani. The hat is a hat. I picked up on vacation at maybe the nicest beach club I've ever been to. Lay Serenuse Mare, which is the new beach club extension of the Le Serenus Hotel. A hotel that I will never be able to afford to stay at, but I can eat dinner there. I can go to the beach club and I can absolutely buy their merch.
B
It's a good green, absolutely nice Mediterranean.
C
The staff were wearing ocean green. Some of the staff are wearing them and they're like all sun faded and washed out because obviously they're like, you know, taking drink orders on the Italian.
B
They didn't buy them pre distressed like your other red.
C
I, I wish I could. I like literally want to be like, yo, let me buy a new one and swap with one of these, bro.
B
You got to put the. You got to earn it. You got to earn those tears and earn those fades. Come on, you know how it works
C
as much as I do.
B
Why don't you take a job running drinks for the summer as much as
C
I do some pre distressed. Yeah, it's. That's my. That was in the marriage contract. I'm doing this for my wife and drinks.
B
No do aperol spritzes as much.
C
Well, actually we were drinking a lot of Hugo spritzes.
B
There you go.
C
But as much as I love pre stress, I do agree with my co host, James over here. You should earn it yourself. The sunglasses.
B
Wear these boat shoes every day to get them scuffs in.
C
Boy, you know, I got. When I got them and they weren't comfortable and I was like. Because even though I got a deal, I. They're expensive ass boat shoes. But then they've. They've been fucking broken in. So now they're fucking. They're nice. And I don't have a ton of like brown shoes that I'm in love with at the moment, so going with these.
B
Sorry.
C
It's okay, dude. I'm sure we'll find something else to hyper fix it on. The sunglasses are the sun buddies throwing Fitz Larry model. I don't think we want to talk about them too much, but they're coming soon and they're fucking fire. And they're the best sunglasses that I've ever owned. James, what about you?
B
What about your underwear?
C
Oh, my underwear are supreme. Hanes James.
B
I'm wearing our legacy clove sneakers in gray and I guess pink. Some Amazon socks in dark gray. The yo, this is. Oh, I'm going to get real vulnerable with a. A skin. I hope it's not on video yet, but I'll show later. The shorts are our legacy stussy linen shorts because it's hot as balls out.
C
Yeah.
B
Alone. Still not as bad as par.
C
No, but today's like, it was like 95 degrees.
B
Well, it's not humid. That's the thing. It's all the dew point, bro. It's all about the dew point. It's 50 to 60. We're good. It doesn't matter if it's 90 or 100.
C
Do the do.
B
Okay. If it's over 60, you're. It was in the 80s.
C
The dew point.
B
Yes.
C
What's today is. That's a metric that you look at every morning?
B
No, but I just saw some random guy tweet about it. Some meteorologist.
C
Okay, cool, cool, cool. Some E girl who does meteorology.
B
Some eorology. The T shirt is Generica. Just plain navy, easy breezy.
C
We know how to pronounce it now.
B
Generica. And what I've been doing on these really hot days is I've been methodical about what colors I wear because certain color T shirts show sweat so terribly and you get like the nasty like middle chest spotting peck sweat. The lower back upper ass marks. Those are a lot of.
C
Those are a lot of dew points.
B
Yeah, bro. At a certain point, even my like shoulder ridges up here if it's really hot.
C
I mean, at this point now I've been, I've been, I've sweated everywhere. Now that I know. So, yeah. Shoulder sweat, though, is.
B
That was more of a Paris thing
C
and shoulder sweat, like, that's, I'm, I'm always with a tote in the, you know, you get all sweaty where the straps are, whatever.
B
So navy, I think, doesn't really show sweats.
C
What's so gray off the table?
B
Completely gray. Green, Yellow. A darker red.
C
Oh, sure.
B
Light.
C
You're good.
B
Well, white. You can see it, but like it's fine.
C
Yeah, well, the white tea is like, that's the. I mean, that's what you basically wore. You were like low key, a uniform guy.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Khakis. Just real quick khakis and white tea.
C
Do you agree with Mackenzie that, like, because we, I don't know if we've ever like lambasted uniform guys.
B
I have.
C
Oh, you have. Because to her point like that there's something wrong with you. Like, I kind of agree.
B
I agree. I think someone's like, oh, it takes the, it takes all the decision making time out of any creative decisions. Like, well, it's good. Why would you do that? Yeah, that's like with. I'm not anti ozempic, but I'm just like people that are like, oh, well, it makes me not hungry and I don't want to eat.
C
Oh, yeah.
B
Eating is, Eating is such a glorious act. Getting dressed literally the same. It is literally 3 to 5 of the joy. Most joyous moments of the day.
C
Yeah. Efficiency maxing away way the creativity and the joy that comes with getting dressed. I feel like we stand in stark opposition to that. With that said, I could also see the flip side a little bit. If you find the things that make you feel and like think you look like the best. Maybe like a la cost polo. Maybe triple. Well, you went in different colors.
B
Triple up, double up.
C
You know, if I was triple. If I was like nine.
B
Tuple up, brother.
C
If I was like, yeah, if they.
B
Yo, how come you don't have any? I, I, I, I do like the look of a long sleeve Lacaspo though.
C
Just for the weather.
B
Again, though. Faded, shredded, but earned.
C
Oh, versus.
B
Do you have any of those?
C
Buying a. Well, I'm hoping to shred and earn all my fades on my current rotation.
B
On the long sleeves.
C
I don't know, I don't own any. Do I have any long sleeve polos? Maybe I have an MF pen long sleeve polo. That for me is a fall thing. I don't know.
B
I'm not talking about now? I'm just talking about the cost and your current cost. Hyper fixation.
C
And if I bought a vintage one that someone did that for me to you that's.
B
Or it's a little. It's kind of cheating.
C
Who knows? We'll see. I mean listen, knowing me, probably we'll get some.
B
The hyper fixation is not going to last that long.
C
Well, we've already moved on, by the way. I already have. I already know what my hype I already. Because I've been collecting them. I just had four come in today for fall.
B
Okay.
C
So we.
B
We'll get some. Some red flannels. Oh they're.
C
They're vintage Big Mac flannels, but yeah.
B
Okay.
C
Which I guess I did wear one after I went to the parade on the podcast. Yeah, I have. I'm collecting. I'm collecting all those now.
B
Cool.
C
Anyway, what else are you wearing, Emily
B
Don Long calorie shells Hanes boxers. Oh and I'm wearing the Jimmies. The throwing fit sunbuddies for a second there. Let's see.
C
Let's throw the paying. Yeah.
B
A little cat eye photos coming soon because we're not putting out the photos of me shirtless.
C
I'll say this dude. I listen if I was you, I also would not want. Were you like purposely doing that? Are you like. Like airing out your. Your stomach? Like what was. When you were.
B
When I was 110 degrees. I was blowing my fan up my.
C
I understand but like. Oh, you didn't think that they were it was being photographed or if it was. It was.
B
I've never thought it would like make it to see the light.
C
I'll say this. You don't look bad, bro. You do not look bad.
B
Thanks.
C
No. Yeah. Honestly, dude, I'm not But what we know you're talking about.
B
I think I saw an ab in there.
C
We don't want to an app the mock the mono. Absolutely.

Hosts: Jimmy & Larry
Theme: Fashion, vulnerability, and the joy of breaking in your clothes — plus a peek behind the curtain of the boys’ fits and some meta-talk on personal style.
This midweek episode of Throwing Fits brings Jimmy and Larry together, fresh off a lengthy interview with Mackenzie Thomas ("the E-girl supreme"). The hosts pivot from their guest's world to their own, engaging in a trademark freewheeling back-and-forth about summer style, the ethics of pre-distressed clothing, “uniform” dressing, and what really brings joy in everyday routine. Their banter is equal parts self-deprecating humor and genuinely insightful commentary on finding pleasure in personal expression.
Lawrence’s fit (‘getting vulnerable’):
Jimmy’s fit:
Lawrence on summer’s essential colors:
"Navy, I think, doesn't really show sweats. Gray is completely off the table." (04:55, Lawrence)
Jimmy on why uniform dressing misses the point:
"Eating is such a glorious act. Getting dressed literally the same. It is literally 3 to 5 of the joy. Most joyous moments of the day." (05:47, Jimmy)
Lawrence on true style:
"Efficiency maxing away the creativity and the joy that comes with getting dressed. I feel like we stand in stark opposition to that." (05:56, Lawrence)
On buying pre-distressed vs. earning your wear:
"You gotta earn it. You gotta earn those tears and earn those fades. Come on, you know how it works as much as I do." (01:52, Lawrence)
This episode showcases the Throwing Fits signature: deep (and often hilarious) reflection on everyday style rituals, gently pushing back on trends that remove personality from fashion. For newcomers, it’s a vibrant invitation into their world: equal parts hot takes, fit nerd talk, and male vulnerability—served with a side of sun-faded Italian hats and unapologetic sweat.
