Welcome to the Afters Uncut bonus content for our best friends behind the paywall on the substacle. This week we're around and getting silly with Jimmy and Larry after a verbose two hours with Pablo. Is it Tori or Torre?
Larry
Torre.
Jimmy
Torre, like the podcaster. Not Joe Tori.
Larry
But that guy's name is spelled T O U R. Yeah. Yeah.
Jimmy
Wow. I haven't had a Filipino talk that much since Gan was on the podcast.
Larry
Since G. Since Gan was drinking beers, dropping puns. Ones.
Jimmy
Yeah, but like, unlike a podcast with gn, this one had a lot of sports, which honestly, what a delight with this. This episode has been years in the making. I mean, I could go back.
Larry
You could.
Jimmy
To the DMS and be. And. And Pablo was legit. Like, I'm sorry, I can't. Right? I work for one of the biggest media conglomerates in the world.
Larry
Work for Disney. I can't do a show about ppm.
Jimmy
July 2021. Don't ever say that we are slacking on trying to DM people to come on the show.
Larry
Has anyone ever said that?
Jimmy
Pablo, would you ever want to come on throwing fits? Pablo says on the one hand, absolutely. I'm so glad you asked. You guys legitimately make me. Lol. I'm a fan. On the other hand, we would. Wait, hold on.
Larry
What can you not say?
Jimmy
We would undoubtedly wind discussing many things that would promptly get me fired from espn. So I probably should remain a listener for now. But Suicide Pipe. Suicide Bipod is weirdly appealing. Tbh, dude.
Larry
Suicide by Pod.
Jimmy
I said if you ever want to burn out rather than fade away, we're your guys.
Larry
Suicide by Pod is the perfect title for the after Suicide by Pod. Thank you Pablo. People need to know this at home.
Jimmy
Oh my God. And then. Oh my God. So this is hilarious about because we just talked about this. The thing is, I actually want to do the show you guys do, but with a voice modulator so I too can talk about FaceTime, sex practices, etc. I said baha, you're telling me Disney don't. And then he says counterpoint and sends a tweet to that is the video clip of Stephen A. Smith saying he's a bottom feeder.
Larry
Wow. Well, Stephen A. There different rules apply to the goat.
Jimmy
But I'm saying we talked about that clip and this was four years ago that he's emailing or DMing me clips of Steve Nay talking about eating butthole. How have we just spent so much time talking about it in the past two plus hours with our new bestie, the Life Of Pablo.
Larry
How have we never seen Stephen a first take with pink eye? Honestly? Right. What are the.
Jimmy
The secret is a hot washcloth.
Larry
Ah, see, who says the show can't teach you stuff? Here's what the people need to know at home. Anyone who grew up coming home from school, college, high school, whatever, or just shirking your responsibilities at your gig, going home sick early. And you watched PTI into Around the horn, the goated one, two punch. For wannabe ball knowers across this great nation, these people have to understand that Pablo Torre, a legend in his own right, is a huge fan of throwing fits.
Jimmy
Yeah.
Larry
And we've been trying to make this happen for a long time, and we finally around and found out, and it was honestly, what a joy, dude.
Jimmy
I know. So much fun, you know? Yeah. We talk fashion, but we also know ball.
Larry
Yeah. Come on. They were Tim. We're like Timothy Chalamet was two old guys with no talent.
Jimmy
Yeah. And as proof. As proof that Pablo is a fan of ours, he told us a story that I kind of wish he had told on podcast, but he told us, like, on the way out. I think it just occurred to him. I mean, he was so wrapped up and so dialed in. Yeah. Into the run of show, into the you interview questions, into the fallouts, into the yucks, into the gigglies, that it must have slipped his mind. But he told a great story on his way out.
Larry
Should we do a fit check first?
Jimmy
You want to do a fit check first?
Larry
Okay, let's. Let's go through this fairly quickly. I'm wearing Clark's wallabies. I have on Hicks slouch socks hiked all the way up because it is fucking frigid outside, like leader Hosen. The leather pants are stussy. The turtleneck is Emporio Armani from the Archer collection and our legacy workshop from the tactical turtleneck collection. The base layer is a Cortez tank top. My big old camel coat, which I didn't wear in the photo because we went coats off for Pablito, is a vintage polo coat. Not of the Ralph Lauren variety, but a very good vintage style that I think was made for Bloomingdale's. Bloomingdale? Oh, how did you know that?
Jimmy
Because I looked at the tag when I threw my coat up there. Wait, you were tag watching polo? But it's not Ralph.
Larry
So a polo coat is a coat that was invented for pole players. This was. I bought this from Gallagher many moons ago. So shout out to Jacob Gallagher, friend of the program. The hat is a redhead Gore Tex hat.
Jimmy
You have intel from Trevor Gorgi?
Larry
Yes, Gorgina, the genius wonderkin of Fugazi himself. Um, and the rollies on the wrist. The wedding ring is on the thingy. The wifey's on the pinky. The chrome is on the other hand, Zins hydro flask of Lower Sad's finest. James, what did you wear? Oh, the underwear are unfortunately not Brady brand. Today they are skims.
Jimmy
What would you love?
Pablo
Skims.
Larry
But we love skims.
Pablo
Marketing is hard, but I'll tell you a little secret. It doesn't have to be. Let me point something out. You're listening to a podcast right now and it's great. You love the host. You seek it out and download it. You listen to it while driving, working out, cooking, even going to the bathroom. Podcasts are a pretty close companion. And this is a podcast ad.
