Have you been faithful to the task?
Mar 2400:01:00Summary readyIt’s not the amount of time that you serve or the prominence and importance of your position which determines your reward. It’s your faithfulness to the task God’s given you to perform regardless of how small or how short or how very insignificant it might appear. I’ve always felt that the Lord someday will call up some dear little lady. She never spoke to thousands like some evangelist or some preacher. She had one little boy. And that’s all God asked her to do; to be faithful, and she was faithful. He’s not going to reward you about the amount of work you’ve done; it’s going to be how faithful you were. Whether you did the job He called you to do.
SummaryThe unknown saints
Mar 2300:01:00Summary ready“Everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.” There is a reward for those who, having been saved, sacrificed for Jesus’ sake. Many an unknown saint today of whom the world has not heard is going to be given first place in His presence someday. I believe that’s going to be one of the most revealing things when we come into the presence of God to find out that the ones you’ll hear of are unknown saints of God.
SummaryWho can be saved?
Mar 2000:01:00Summary ready“When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?” Well, listen to this. This is the explanation, verse 26 of Matthew 19. “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” As far as any person is concerned, it doesn’t make any difference who you are, you’re a candidate for salvation if you recognize that you are not a candidate for salvation; that you have nothing to offer God at all. And when you come to Him to offer Him nothing except empty hands and to hold them out to Him in faith, my friend, He’ll take you and save you.
SummaryThe eye of a needle
Mar 1900:01:00Summary ready“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” There are so many people today that think they’re going to be saved by what they have or who they are. And, friends, you are saved when you find out who you are, and that is a sinner, and when you find out that you’re a beggar in God’s sight and you have nothing to offer Him for your salvation. But as long as you think that you can do something or you can pay God—why you can no more be saved than you can put a camel through an eye of a needle. You say, “That’s impossible.” Of course, it is. That’s the point our Lord is making here.
SummaryWhat is keeping you from Him?
Mar 1800:01:00Summary ready“Jesus sayeth unto him, If thou wilt be perfect (or complete), go and sell what thou hast, give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.” Following Jesus, of course, would have led him to see that he was not keeping the first commandments which have to do with a man’s relationship to God. But there was something standing in the way. For this young man, it was riches. “But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.” What is it today that is separating maybe you from Christ? Is anything in the way that’s keeping you from Him?
SummaryForgive because He forgave us
Mar 1700:01:00Summary ready“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Now because He’s forgiven us, we are to forgive, and we’re to forgive the same way: tenderhearted, forgiving one another. This parable of the king who forgave his servant, but the man in turn refused to forgive another, it illustrates the principle of forgiveness, you see. If God forgave our sins on the same way we forgive, none of us would ever get forgiven. This is a great principle after you become a child of God. Because you have been forgiven, and it’s on that basis we’re to forgive today. This is the principle of Christian conduct, of course.

Mar 1600:01:00Summary ready“And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.” Now listen to Him. “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he was drowned in the depth of the sea.” And, friends, that’s rather strong language, by the way. And what He’s doing here in this entire section, seems to me, He makes the evangelization of children a divine imperative. He gives top priority to this type of ministry. And I commend anyone that’s working with children today; there’s nothing as important as that.
SummaryThe hope of mankind
Mar 1300:01:00Summary ready“As they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.” Now why wait until then? And then why should it be told? Because it’s part of the gospel story. It tells who He is: He’s now the perfect Lamb of God. He’s been tested for three years, and He’s now on the way to the cross to die for the sins of the world. You see, it has to be a lamb without blemish. He’s the only one who could die. In His perfect humanity, He’s transfigured. That’s the hope of mankind today.

Mar 1200:01:00Summary ready“When the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.” You want a good motto for your life, friends? It’s here in verse 8 of chapter 17 of Matthew. Only two words: Jesus only. Jesus only. “They saw no man, save Jesus only.” He’s the one who is the authority. And I hope you’ve marked those two words, “Jesus only” in your Bible. It’s a good motto for all of us.
SummaryHe is the only one
Mar 1100:01:00Summary ready“Behold a voice out of the cloud said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Now this is God the Father’s testimony to Jesus the Son. Have you ever had a voice out of heaven commending you and saying that God was well pleased with you? He’s never said that to you nor anyone else except this One. This is the only One who has ever been well pleasing to God. And you and I will never get in God’s presence until we are “in Christ” by faith. When we accept Christ as our Savior, then we’re put in the body of believers.
