What if the very thing you're trying to grow beyond is actually the thing God created you to do? Lately, I've been getting the same question over and over again: "Todd, with everything you've got going on—gyms, franchises, masterminds, speaking, books, coaching executives... why are you still personally training clients" It's a fair question. This week, after spending every morning training the New Orleans Saints and then coaching everyone from NFL athletes to men and women in their 60s and 70s, the answer became crystal clear. Coaching isn't simply something I do... it's who I am. It's part of my calling. It's one of the purest ways I can serve others and honor the gifts God has given me. Whether it's personal training 1:1, coaching a small-group or large-group training session, or leading a retreat or live-event, I LOVE coaching! And maybe that's the question you need to ask yourself today. Not, "What do I do?" but, "Who am I?" Because when you discover your divine uniqueness and stay obedient to it, everything changes. Success isn't about drifting away from the work that made you come alive. It's about continually finding ways to live inside your calling, no matter what season you're in. In this week's episode of The IMPACT SHOW Podcast, I';m sharing my heart on why I'll always coach, why human connection matters now more than ever, and how you can rediscover the work that fills your soul instead of simply filling your calendar. Here's what you'll hear in this Episode 488: Why live coaching and human connection will always be more powerful than information alone. How stepping away from your God-given gifts can quietly steal your joy and fulfillment. Why culture isn't taught—it's caught—and how great leaders build it every single day. The importance of staying connected to the work that first made you come alive. Why your "laboratory" is where your greatest lessons, breakthroughs, and leadership are developed. How to recognize the season you're in and give it everything you've got. The difference between chasing profit and pursuing purpose. Why remembering who you are matters more than what you do. How to discover your divine uniqueness and live fully inside your assignment. Three powerful questions that will help you reconnect with your calling. At the end of the day, your greatest impact won't come from trying to become someone else. It comes from fully becoming the person God created you to be. Maybe you've experienced success. Maybe you're building something new. Maybe you've gotten busy chasing the next opportunity. My challenge for you this week is simple: reconnect with the work that makes your soul come alive. The world doesn't need another imitation. It needs you operating boldly inside your calling. If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs the reminder to get back to their roots and live with even greater purpose. And if you're ready to grow deeper—in your leadership, your business, your faith, or your life—I invite you to join us inside IMPACT-X Performance, one of our live events or coaching programs, or just swing-into IMPACT-X Performance San Diego for a high-five, hug, or handshake. And yes, if you are ready for some coaching yourself, my team and I are ready to SERVE YOU. Remember... when your gifts and your calling align, you don't just make a living—you create IMPACT. What if the biggest breakthrough of your life isn't waiting in another book, social media post, or YouTube video... but in a room full of people who challenge you to think bigger, dream again, and become the person you're called to be? This week, I'm coming to you "LIVE" from the Perform Better Summit in Long Beach, CA, after an unforgettable day of coaching, teaching, sweating, connecting, and pouring into hundreds of coaches, trainers, and business owners. My voice may be a little rough from coaching all day, but my heart is completely full. Here's what I know: information can be downloaded, but transformation happens in the room. When you surround yourself with the right people, have the right conversations, listen to the right messaging, and feel the vibration IN the room, your energy changes. Your perspective expands. Your vision gets bigger. One conversation can spark an idea. One connection can change your entire career, literally. One decision to invest in yourself can completely alter the trajectory of your life. If you've been feeling stuck, uninspired, or simply know there's anotherlevel inside of you waiting to be unlocked, this episode is your reminder that your next breakthrough may be one room away. In this episode, you'll learn: Why information is everywhere—but true transformation only happens through real connection. How energy becomes contagious and why the people around you elevate (or drain) your performance. Why proximity changes possibility and how getting around high-level people raises your own standards. How one conversation can create opportunities that impact your business, career, relationships, and life. Why disrupting your routine is one of the fastest ways to create new growth and fresh perspective. The importance of investing in yourself—even when it feels uncomfortable. Why accountability hits differently when you're physically present and fully engaged. How experiences create lasting memories that lead to meaningful action. Why the best live events don't simply educate—they transform who you become. Practical ways to identify the next room, event, mastermind, or coaching experience that can help unlock your next level. The truth is, life changes at intersections. It changes through conversations, relationships, mentorship, and moments where you decide to bet on yourself instead of waiting for the "perfect time" Because the perfect time doesn't exist. So my challenge to you is simple: Get in the room…the RIGHT room. Whether that's a conference, a mastermind, a church event, a coaching program, a leadership retreat, or simply surrounding yourself with people who make you better—don't wait. Invest in yourself. Show up. Ask questions. Take notes. Build relationships. You never know which conversation will change everything. If this episode encouraged you, challenged you, or inspired you to take action, would you do me a favor? Share it with a friend, a teammate, or someone who needs the reminder that their next breakthrough could be just one room away. Halftime 2026. Remember, halftime isn't the end of the game—it's where iconic coaches, leaders, and champions make adjustments. It's where winning teams regroup, refocus, and come charging out of the tunnel with a renewed fire. Maybe the first half of your year has been incredible. Maybe it's been one of the toughest seasons of your life. Or maybe it's been somewhere in between. Wherever you find yourself today, hear me loud and clear...the game is NOT over. You still have six months to create breakthrough and end 2026 in epic fashion. Six months to strengthen your faith. Six months to improve your health. Six months to restore relationships. Six months to chase the dream God placed on your heart. Six months to become the person you're truly called to be. In this special Halftime Episode, I'm sharing the 5-biggest reflections I'm personally walking through, along with 10-powerful questions that challenged me deeply. My prayer is that they challenge you too. Don't just listen to this episode...pause, reflect, answer the questions, and then go take action. Because the best may still be ahead of you. In this episode, you'll discover: Why every great comeback begins by honestly reviewing the scoreboard. How gratitude builds confidence and why celebrating your wins is essential for sustained growth. Why championship seasons always include losses—and how to transform pain into purpose instead of letting setbacks define you. The simple adjustments that can dramatically change your next six months. Why small daily disciplines truly become the "small hinges that swing big doors." How to evaluate your faith, family, fitness, finances, fun, and leadership at halftime. The importance of dreaming again, believing again, praying again, and stepping boldly into what God is calling you to do. 10 soul-punching questions that will challenge your heart, sharpen your focus, and help you finish 2026 stronger than you started. What it really means to stop surviving...and start playing to WIN the second half. The truth is this...the scoreboard at halftime doesn't determine the final outcome. Championships are won because someone chooses to make adjustments. Someone decides to believe again. Someone gets back up after being knocked down. Someone renews their faith, recommits to the process, and refuses to quit. That someone can be YOU. As you reflect on the first half of the year, don't waste this opportunity. Recover. Refocus. Reignite. Give yourself permission to celebrate what God has already done, learn from every setback, make the adjustments you know you need to make, and attack the second half with everything you've got. Your story is still being written. The best version of you is still waiting to emerge. And remember...the best is NOT behind you. The best is yet to come. If this episode challenged or encouraged you, I'd love to hear from you. Share it with a friend, post it on social media, and tag me so I can see who's committed to making the second half of 2026 their strongest yet. There are some conversations that simply leave a mark on your heart. This is one of them. This week's episode of the Todd Durkin IMPACT Show is one of the most vulnerable, emotional, and hope-filled conversations we've ever had. My man, Jesse Winkler, shares his remarkable story that is going to challenge you, encourage you, and remind you that no matter how far you've fallen, you're never too far gone for God to restore your life. When I say, 'Live a life worth telling a story about…what's your story?", this episode is one heckuva story! Maybe you're carrying shame. Maybe you've made mistakes you wish you could erase. Maybe you're walking through depression, anxiety, addiction, failure, or a season where you've simply lost hope. If that's you...lean in. This conversation is for you. I truly believe God has someone listening to this episode today who needs to hear these words. Jesse's willingness to share the darkest chapter of his life could very well become the light that helps someone else find their way home. No matter where you are today, remember this: your setback doesn't have to become your ending. Sometimes, it's the very place where God begins writing your greatest comeback. In this episode Jesse shares what it's like to stand on both the mountaintop and in the deepest valley. After spending years serving as a pastor, planting churches, leading people, and building what looked like a successful life from the outside, everything came crashing down. Divorce. Financial ruin. Depression. Substance abuse. Violence. Trauma. Isolation. Even suicidal thoughts. For nearly a decade, Jesse found himself trapped in darkness, believing there was no way back. But God wasn't finished with his story. Through complete surrender, genuine community, and an unwavering pursuit of healing, Jesse experienced a life-changing transformation that restored not only his faith, but his purpose. Today, Jesse serves alongside me helping lead our "Iron Sharpens Iron" movement, coaches others through our health optimization program, and is passionate about helping men and women discover the freedom he once thought was impossible. His story isn't just about surviving. It's about redemption. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why guarding your heart is one of the most important disciplines you'll ever develop. How success, busyness, and achievement can quietly pull you away from what matters most. The subtle warning signs that often lead to burnout, broken relationships, and spiritual drift. The difference between losing in your failure and learning from your failure. Why isolation is one of the enemy';s greatest weapons—and why community is one of God's greatest gifts. Jesse's raw story of battling depression, addiction, anger, and suicidal thoughts. How surrender became the turning point that completely transformed his life. Why physical health, spiritual health, and mental health all work together. How God can redeem even the darkest chapters of your life. Why your greatest pain can become your greatest purpose. The power of confession, forgiveness, and making amends. How your story could become someone else's breakthrough. One of the greatest lessons from this conversation is that failure is never meant to become your identity. As Jesse says, you're either losing in your failure or you're learning from it. Every setback carries a lesson if we're willing to receive it, and every scar can become part of the story God uses to encourage someone else. That's exactly what Jesse is doing today—using his past to rescue people who are walking through the same darkness he once knew so well. This conversation is also a powerful reminder that healing is holistic. Our spiritual life, our physical health, our mindset, and the people we surround ourselves with all work together. When we intentionally spend time in God's Word, strengthen our bodies, renew our minds, and stay connected to a life-giving community, we position ourselves for transformation. We were never meant to carry life's burdens alone. My friends, I don't know where this episode finds you today. Maybe you're in a great season, or maybe you're carrying a weight that no one else knows about. If that's you, hear me loud and clear: God is not finished with your story. No matter how many mistakes you've made, how long you've been struggling, or how far you feel you've wandered, His grace is always greater than your past. The enemy wants you to believe you're too far gone, but this conversation is proof that redemption is always possible. Jesse's journey is living proof that God doesn't waste pain. He redeems it. He restores it. And He uses it to impact the lives of others. Sometimes the very thing you wish you could erase becomes the very testimony that gives someone else hope to keep going. I pray this episode reminds you to guard your heart, stay connected to community, never stop believing in God's promises, and trust that your greatest comeback may still be ahead of you. Because when you surrender your life to Him, your story isn't over—it's just beginning. If this conversation spoke to your heart, please do NOT keep it to yourself. Share this episode with someone who needs hope today. Maybe it's a friend who's quietly struggling, a family member walking through a difficult season, a teammate who's carrying more than they're letting on, or someone who simply needs to be reminded that they're not alone. You never know how one conversation, one story, or one message of hope can change—or even save—a life. This week's episode is one that's incredibly personal to me. I'm recording it just hours after our very first "Iron Sharpens Iron" gathering at IMPACT-X Performance (San Diego), and I wanted to capture the emotion while it was still fresh. My voice may be a little hoarse, but my heart has never been more full. For years, I've felt God calling me to create something that goes beyond workouts, beyond business, and even beyond Sunday mornings. I believe people are starving for deeper faith, stronger relationships, greater purpose, and a place where they can grow together without pretending to have it all figured out. In this episode, I share why I started Iron Sharpens Iron, the powerful breakthroughs that happened during our very first gathering, and the vision I believe God has placed on my heart for where this movement is headed. My prayer is that this conversation encourages you to become stronger physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally—and ultimately inspires you to become the person God created you to be. In This Episode, You'll Learn: The five reasons I felt called to launch the Iron Sharpens Iron movement. Why authentic community is one of the greatest needs facing men today. How your faith and your fitness work together to build true strength from the inside out. Why leadership always begins with character, conviction, and a relationship with God. The biggest takeaways from our very first Iron Sharpens Iron gathering and why it impacted me so deeply. Why vulnerability isn't weakness—it's often where healing begins. How surrounding yourself with the right people can completely change the direction of your life. The vision I have for taking Iron Sharpens Iron beyond San Diego and building a movement that impacts families, communities, and generations. The 3 questions I believe every one of us needs to answer: 1. Who are you sharpening? 2. Who should you be sharpening? 3. Who is sharpening you? I truly believe this episode is about much more than launching a new program. It's about answering a call. Now more than ever, we need stronger leaders, stronger families, stronger communities, and stronger faith. We need men who are willing to step up, encourage one another, hold each other accountable, and pursue becoming the very best version of themselves—not for their own glory, but for God's. I've said it before and I'll say it again: fitness can change your body and mind, but faith can change your life. When you bring faith & fitness together, lives change. Families change. Communities change. Generations change. If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with another man who needs to hear this message. Your workout partner, your son, your dad, your brother, your coach, or a friend who could use a little hope and encouragement right now. And if you're ready to be part of the Iron Sharpens Iron movement, I'd love to have you join us. P.S #1 If you're interested in joining the upcoming Iron Sharpens Iron six-week experience, text "Iron Sharpens Iron" 619.304.2216, and I'll make sure you receive all the details as we launch this movement. P.S #2. Be sure to subscribe to The IMPACT SHOW, leave a review if today's episode encouraged you, and share it with someone who needs a little more faith, purpose, and impact in their life.

Fatherhood has been one of the greatest gifts and blessings of my life. As I prepare to celebrate Father's Day this weekend and soon enter a brand-new season as an empty nester, I've been reflecting on the journey of raising three incredible kids over the last 23 years. The truth is, there's no playbook for being a parent. No manual. No perfect formula. You learn by diving in, showing up, making mistakes, and loving with your whole heart. In this heartfelt episode, I share the lessons, memories, and wisdom that have shaped me as a father—from those 4 a.m. newborn moments with Luke sleeping on my chest, to coaching my kids on the field, to preparing to watch all three of them spread their wings and chase their dreams. Whether you're a dad, mom, grandparent, coach, mentor, or simply someone who values family, this episode is a powerful reminder that the greatest impact we make often happens at home. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why every season of parenting deserves to be appreciated and embraced. How becoming a parent deepens your purpose and changes your perspective forever. The power of creating meaningful experiences and memories with your family. Why the daily routines, values, and habits you instill matter more than any vacation or milestone. The bedtime affirmation that shaped the Durkin family culture for nearly two decades. How coaching your kids can strengthen your relationships and create unforgettable moments. Why volunteering, mentoring, and being involved in your children's activities matters so much. The life-changing lesson Todd learned from his father about the value of time. How "special time" with your kids can leave an imprint that lasts a lifetime. Why fathers and mothers play an irreplaceable role in shaping future generations. The emotions, excitement, and gratitude that come with entering the empty-nester chapter of life. A powerful reminder that time is our most precious commodity—and we can't afford to waste it. Fatherhood or parenting isn't about being perfect. It's about being present. It's about showing up day after day, creating experiences, building character, teaching values, and loving your kids through every season of life. As I look back on 23 years of being a Dad, what stands out most isn't the accomplishments, the awards, or the milestones—it's the moments. The conversations. The trips. The routines. The laughter. The lessons. The time. And as I prepare for this next chapter with all three of my children now pursuing their own dreams, I'm reminded that our role as parents isn't to keep our kids close forever—it's to help them grow wings and fly. Have you ever felt like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? You're showing up for your family, your business, your team, and your community—but deep down, you're running on empty. Maybe you're exhausted. Maybe you're burned out. Maybe you're questioning how much longer you can keep going. My friends, if that's you today, I want you to know something: you're not alone. In this episode, I'm sharing some of the biggest lessons I've learned from walking through one of the hardest seasons of my own life. A season that tested me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. A season that ultimately strengthened my faith and taught me what true mental toughness is really all about. Because mental toughness isn't about pretending you're okay. It's not about grinding harder or carrying every burden by yourself. It's about staying faithful when life gets hard. Replenishing your body, mind, and spirit when you're running on empty. And it's about trusting that God is preparing you for something greater—even when you can't see it yet. Here's what we'll dive into on this week's IMPACT SHOW podcast: Why strong people burn out too The hidden cost of carrying too much for too long What mental toughness really means when you're in the middle of a storm How faith fuels resilience when motivation disappears Why prayer, scripture, worship, and community matter more than ever during difficult seasons The importance of replenishing your energy, your spirit, and your soul Why you can't pour from an empty cup How to perform a personal life-energy audit The connection between recovery and high performance Why your greatest impact may come after your hardest season A simple 7-Day Recharge Challenge to help you get your mind, body, and spirit back on track A powerful closing prayer to remind us that it's our Faith that feeds your mental toughness One of the questions I ask throughout this episode is this: What burden are you carrying today that was never meant for you to carry alone? Think about that. Because so many of us are trying to be everything for everyone. We're trying to hold it all together. We're trying to fight battles with our own strength. And sometimes the strongest thing we can do is surrender. Sometimes the breakthrough isn't found in doing more. Sometimes it's found in reconnecting to the Source of our strength. My hope is that this episode fills your cup. That it restores some hope. That it reminds you that whatever storm you're facing today is only a season. And that your setback can become your setup. Your pain can become your purpose. And your struggle can become your greatest testimony. Keep the faith. Keep serving. Keep showing up. And remember...the best is yet to come. If this episode encourages you, please share it with someone who may be walking through a storm right now. And if you have a prayer request, a question, or an idea for a future episode, text me directly at 619-304-2216. Have you ever felt like you're doing all the "right" things—building your career, chasing success, checking the boxes—yet still feel like something is missing? If so, this episode is going to hit you right between the eyes and straight into your heart. This week on The Todd Durkin IMPACT Show, I sit down with a young man I've been business/life coaching in my Mastermind for a while. Brady Hutchins is a coach, author, and an overall IMPACT-maker with a great story. Brady recently released his new book, The God Within: Remembering Who You Are in a World That Tells You Who to Be, and in this episode, we unpack what it truly means to reconnect with your authentic self in a world constantly pulling you toward external validation. Brady shares his deeply personal story of navigating unimaginable adversity after a tragic car accident involving his father and younger brother, the lessons he learned from being forced to grow up fast, and how those experiences ultimately shaped his life's purpose. We also dive into the panic attack that became his wake-up call in 2022—a moment that forced him to examine whether he was living in alignment with who he truly was. Through powerful insights on identity, purpose, faith, leadership, personal growth, and the difference between living from fear versus living from love, this conversation will challenge you to stop looking outside yourself for answers and start reconnecting with the greatness that already exists within. Whether you're a high performer, entrepreneur, athlete, coach, parent, or simply someone searching for deeper meaning and fulfillment, this episode will inspire you to remember who you are and step into your true calling. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE: Why so many successful people still struggle with identity and fulfillment How Brady's personal tragedy became the catalyst for discovering his purpose The powerful story behind his new book, The God Within What "The God Within" actually means and why it applies to every single person The true meaning of enthusiasm and how it can transform your life How to identify the difference between your conditioned self and your authentic self Understanding the concept of "Magnetic North" versus your "True North" Why panic attacks, stress, and burnout can be important signals—not setbacks The daily practices Brady used to create greater alignment, peace, and resilience How meditation, breathwork, cold plunges, and coaching helped him expand his capacity The importance of auditing your decisions through the lens of love versus fear Why living from love creates greater impact, fulfillment, and freedom Practical strategies to reconnect with your purpose and become the person you were created to be How men in their 20s, 30s, and 40s can build an identity beyond career success and family roles The mindset shifts needed to live with greater authenticity, confidence, and purpose This episode is a reminder that your greatest power isn't something you have to earn, achieve, or chase—it's already within you. We're bringing the HEAT this week as it's our very first LIVE in-person, podcast recording inside IMPACT-X Performance… and trust me, this conversation is going to hit your heart, challenge your mindset, and ignite your spirit. My guest is my good friend Justin Roethlingshoefer, a former NHL strength & conditioning coach turned founder of the powerful new "Holy Health" movement. Justin shares a ton of his insight on "Holy Health" along with a lot of his experiences with his client, Grammy-winning worship artist Brandon Lake, as they are doing a ton together to change many lives. What unfolds in this episode is nothing short of transformational. We dive deep into faith, healing, identity, purpose, obedience, leadership, burnout, and what it really means to steward your mind, body, soul, and calling God's way. Justin opens up like never before about the darkest season of his life after losing his NHL career, the moment God radically shifted his perspective while sitting alone in a kayak during COVID, and how that "yes" to obedience ultimately led him to Brandon Lake and a sold-out arena tour impacting hundreds of thousands of lives. If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, uncertain about your next step, or hungry for more purpose and peace in your life… this episode is for YOU. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why "the only thing that follows obedience is blessing" How Justin went from getting fired from the NHL to building the Holy Health movement The life-changing kayak moment that birthed the vision for Own It Why your identity cannot be tied to your performance What "Health Is Worship" truly means The exact rhythms and routines Brandon Lake used during his 50-show arena tour How anxiety, burnout, and striving steal your calling Why rest is NOT weakness — it's obedience The powerful lesson: "Don't force what you want now for what you actually want most" How Holy Health is helping thousands of people heal mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually Why leadership starts with culture and consistency The importance of surrendering EVERY area of your life to God — including your health How slowing down allows you to finally hear God speak What it means to create "health havens" in your environment and daily life The mindset shift that can radically change the way you lead, live, and love This conversation reminded me that impact doesn't come from having it all figured out… it comes from showing up, being obedient, serving people with all your heart, and trusting God with the outcome. Justin's story is proof that your greatest setback can become the setup for your greatest calling if you're willing to surrender, stay faithful, and keep going. He has a rare combination of the ability to understand the science of sports performance, sleep, and recovery on a deep level, while being able to translate and distill the complex topics into a form others can actually use.

Welcome back to today's podcast which is guaranteed to 'Get Your Mind Right' as we're diving deep into a Q&A episode that covers mental toughness, faith, fitness, purpose, raising strong kids in today's culture, mentorship, fulfillment, and how to stay grounded when life feels heavy…like real heavy. This episode really is all about getting your mind right. Because the enemy isn't just after your circumstances… he's after your thoughts. Your peace. Your mind. Your focus. Your faith. And in today's world—with stress, distractions, pressure, anxiety, and comparison coming at us from every angle—we've got to protect our mindset more than ever before. I share practical strategies, personal stories, mindset shifts, faith-filled encouragement, and some hard truths about what it really takes to stay strong mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually in this season of life. If you've been feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, searching for deeper fulfillment, or simply needing a reset in your spirit and routines… this episode is for YOU. In This Episode, You'll Learn: The biggest fitness mistakes people make after age 40 My favorite hip mobility and flexibility exercises for longevity Why success without fulfillment still leaves people empty How to reinvent yourself at 40, 50, 60 or beyond The importance of mentorship and who's mentoring me right now What kids desperately need more of in today's culture Why discipline and truth matter more than ever The habits that have most propelled me forward in life and business How faith directly impacts performance and mental resilience Practical ways to stay mentally strong when life gets hard Why protecting your peace and guarding your thoughts is essential The "10 meters at a time" mindset that Navy SEALs use under pressure A sneak peek into a possible future faith-based coaching experience and men's group My friends, life is going to test all of us. There will be seasons of stress, uncertainty, pressure, heartbreak, and challenge. But you do NOT have to carry every burden alone. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is slow down, pray, breathe deeply, trust God, and focus on the next 10 meters in front of you. This episode is a reminder that "True Strength" isn't just about physical toughness. It's about faith. It's about discipline. It's about protecting your mindset, staying anchored in truth, and continuing to pursue purpose and fulfillment over empty achievement.
