I just have a few quick announcements and things to tell you, so I thought I would take a minute between three podcasts to give you a couple announcements. 1. I'm changing the format of the show a bit to three episodes a week from five episodes a week, but I'm going to continue interview the same amount of authors to expose you to basically the same amount of books, but I'm going to group a lot of them by theme. So if you are having a day where you want to focus on grief, you can listen to a grief episode or graduation or, you know, books that make you tremble, things like that. So I'll have maybe 1, 2, or 3. Some will be solo episodes, some will be panels, some will just be a couple in a row with the highlights. I hope that it continues to help you and expose you to books that I think are awesome and that I think collectively will help shape your life and inform you and give you all the inside scoop on the books coming out in the literary world. And also even the nonfiction things that, like, I just finished a book on resilience by Tara Nerula. These things are important, how to help us live better lives. Anyway, so I wanted to let you know that that was happening. And second, I just wanted to mark this moment because it's been almost exactly eight years since I first sat literally in the same spot in the same chair, my elbow on the same desk with the same microphone, and have been doing this podcast religiously for eight years now. And some of you have been listening the whole time. Some of you come in and out occasionally. I welcome you all at any time for any of it. And I just want you to know that by your listening or authors, by your participation in this podcast, you have completely changed my life. You have given my life a level of meaning and purpose that I am so grateful for. I have learned so much, I have grown, so much. I have built because of this show. And I have changed. My very DNA has changed as a result of the 2,300 plus conversations that I've had sitting here. I might not have left my desk for these conversations, although many I've had elsewhere, but the ones I've had here on Zoom or sitting next to me, an author sitting next to me, have been like the biggest masterclass ever. It's like I somehow have designed a university of information that I've gotten. And if you listen, or I hope you've listened to some, or perhaps all, you get a medal if you've listened to all of them. I hope that they have done for you what they have done for me. I am grateful, as always, to all the authors who come on my show, every episode, every book. It's such a huge accomplishment, what you all have done, and getting to talk to you right after I read your book is the best feeling. I recently finished Enormous Wings, put down the book, and talked to Laurie Frankel. I mean, that this is such a privilege, and it's because of you listeners listening that I get to keep doing this and have it be a show instead of just me on the phone. So I just wanted to say a big thank you. Thank you for eight years of this podcast, for going down this road with me, for taking the time out of your very busy lives to listen in the car, folding laundry on the way to work, cooking, whatever you're doing. I'm so glad I've met so many of you at all the events I do around the country who have come up to me and said, I listen to your podcast. And I'm like, really? Because you know what? As I sit here again, same seat, I don't know who is listening. I see numbers, but numbers don't tell stories. And so when you tell me you've listened, it really makes my day. And it makes me know that those numbers are actual people with feelings who are hopefully feeling good because of what I've put out into the world, which for me makes me feel amazing. So thank you all for making me feel so amazing all the time. And thank you again to the authors for doing this. I hope you enjoy version, I don't know, 2.0. I mean, I guess first it was moms don't have time to read books. Now we're totally booked. We have all of our totally booked live. We have the totally booked live TV show. I mean, it's crazy. We have a lot of coming up, totally booked lives in the works. We have, I think July 25th in Chicago. We have October 4th in LA. We'll have October, I think Sunday the 25th in New York and January 20something in Naples, Florida. So come see us for some totally booked lives and bring some friends. Listen, tell friends about the show. I just want to grow and grow and grow and get more people to hear about great books and learn great things and build our community. I mean, we are all doing this together. There are no easy answers in life. This is a crazy time of life, a crazy world we're living in. And yet that feeling, when you connect closely with somebody and learn something and share something, I'm trying to scale that feeling. And you listening, you are a huge part of that. And I know I don't know all of you by name, but I feel like you know me and you know my guests and because you are listening, you are a critical part of my world. So thank you. Thank you to you. Whatever you are doing right now, take a minute, pat yourself on the back. You took the time out to listen and thereby making the author's life better and my life better. And that's pretty awesome. So before you go on to your next show or your next pickup or whatever you're doing, please know how grateful I am. And after eight years, I am just enormously, enormously grateful to all of you for listening. I hope you continue to do so. Thanks so much.
