I was home in San Francisco when an email came in from an unknown sender. There was no subject, no text, nothing. Just two attachments. A picture of Marie Claire and a picture of her grandmother's map. The one you saw in the museum.

And you had never seen her before?

Nope. And I never heard of Ocean Bay before that email came in.

What made you decide to drive all the way up here?

[Agent Whitmore]

I don't have much going on right now. I'm between jobs. My mother is about to kick me out, and I just needed to shake things up, and I was curious.

I'm not suggesting anything, Agent Widmore. That's exactly what he wanted.
