MC Henderson
Please don't be dead. Please don't be de Josh.
Josh Mayfield
Mc oh my God.
MC Henderson
You're alive.
Josh Mayfield
I think so.
MC Henderson
Here, let me help you up.
Josh Mayfield
Ah, thanks.
MC Henderson
What happened?
Josh Mayfield
It was insane. The whole street exploded.
MC Henderson
How'd you get out?
Josh Mayfield
It had to be the map makers, because the first time I was in there, I felt a force pulling me towards their world. But this time it was the opposite. The force was pushing me out, not in.
MC Henderson
What about Morgan?
Josh Mayfield
I think that same force trapped him inside. The last time I saw Morgan, he was being torn apart. There were pieces of him flying everywhere.
MC Henderson
But you're okay? You're not hurt?
Josh Mayfield
No, I actually feel pretty good.
MC Henderson
Are you sure?
Josh Mayfield
Yeah.
Map Maker
Ow.
Josh Mayfield
Why'd you hit me?
MC Henderson
For scaring me like that. I thought you were killed when the mural fell apart.
Josh Mayfield
Your grandmother's map. What happened?
MC Henderson
Sledgehammer wrecked it. The entire wall came crashing down. Map's gone.
Josh Mayfield
I'm sorry.
MC Henderson
There's no need to apologize. You were right. Destroying the map destroyed the tram street.
Josh Mayfield
Sure did.
MC Henderson
Josh?
Josh Mayfield
Yes?
MC Henderson
What's that disgusting mess?
Josh Mayfield
Where?
MC Henderson
Over by the wall.
Map Maker
Whoa.
Josh Mayfield
Looks like a few pieces of Morgan made it back out.
MC Henderson
Oh, my God, that is so gross.
Josh Mayfield
Oh, are those bones?
MC Henderson
Is that his eye?
Josh Mayfield
I guess the game is definitely over.
MC Henderson
And we won.
Josh Mayfield
You know what? We have to clean it up.
MC Henderson
Excuse me.
Josh Mayfield
There are gonna be a lot of questions if someone finds those body parts tomorrow morning.
MC Henderson
You're right. Have fun.
Josh Mayfield
Really? I have to do this by myself?
MC Henderson
That's what you get for scaring me.
Map Maker
The call of The Great Northwest 1240, KAB Radio Ocean Bay.
Maddie Smith
Good morning. This is Maddie Smith, and you're listening to 1240, KAB Radio Ocean Bay. There's nothing worse than starting your day off with bad news. But sometimes there's just no way around it. Last night, while we were sleeping, our little town suffered a terrible loss. Gertrude Henderson's map was destroyed. It appears the earthquake we had earlier this week damaged the wall where the mural was painted. And last night's aftershock caused the whole thing to collapse. MC if you're listening, I'd like to offer my condolences. We all know how much that map meant to you. It was a gorgeous piece of art created by a truly talented woman. My mother told me that there's a silver lining to every cloud. And the silver lining here is that your actions saved the museum. The map may be gone, but the building is still there. And that's a remarkable accomplishment. You should be proud. So have a safe drive back to Portland. And please know that everyone here in Ocean Bay wishes you a warm winter.
Josh Mayfield
Good morning, young man. Oh. To you. Hey. Good morning. Looks like we might get some sun later. It sure does. Have a wonderful day. You too.
MC Henderson
Josh. Over here.
Josh Mayfield
Hey. How's it going?
MC Henderson
All packed.
Josh Mayfield
Me too.
MC Henderson
Here, I got you some coffee.
Josh Mayfield
Thanks.
MC Henderson
So.
Map Maker
So.
MC Henderson
How's your coffee?
Josh Mayfield
It's good. Strong.
MC Henderson
I love the local Pelic.
Josh Mayfield
Look at this.
MC Henderson
What happened to your new phone?
Josh Mayfield
It got fried inside the trap street, just like the other one.
MC Henderson
Losing two phones in one week must feel like the end of the world.
Josh Mayfield
So how do you feel about your grandmother's map?
MC Henderson
Hmm. It really sucks that our legacy is gone, but there's no way around it.
Josh Mayfield
What are you talking about? Her legacy's not gone.
MC Henderson
Yes, it is.
Josh Mayfield
No, it's not. The map wasn't her legacy. You are.
MC Henderson
Huh? I guess.
Josh Mayfield
And I know she would be very, very proud of what you did.
MC Henderson
Thanks.
Josh Mayfield
So you know what I was thinking?
MC Henderson
No. What?
Josh Mayfield
I was thinking how weird it's gonna be in a few minutes when we leave Ocean Bay, driving off in two different directions.
MC Henderson
I'll visit you in San Francisco. You'll come see me in Portland. We'll work it out.
Josh Mayfield
I hope so.
MC Henderson
That's strange. My phone's never made that sound before.
Josh Mayfield
What is it?
MC Henderson
You're not gonna believe this.
Josh Mayfield
Don't tell me it's a map.
MC Henderson
It's a map.
Josh Mayfield
What? Really? Let me see.
MC Henderson
Ocean Bay is right there, and there.
Josh Mayfield
Are three roads connected to it. One goes to Portland, one goes to San Francisco.
MC Henderson
And this one goes to Seattle.
Josh Mayfield
Where in Seattle?
MC Henderson
Magnolia Drive, right by Pike Place Market.
Josh Mayfield
This has to be from the map makers. They want us to go there.
MC Henderson
But why?
Josh Mayfield
There's only one way to find out.
MC Henderson
Okay, according to this map, we go down to the end of the market, and then we turn right on Virginia.
Josh Mayfield
Okay, Sounds good.
MC Henderson
Hey, do you think Something went wrong with Morgan.
Josh Mayfield
No, no, there's no way. That guy's toast.
MC Henderson
There it is. Now we go down this alley and Magnolia Drive should be on our left.
Josh Mayfield
There's no one around.
MC Henderson
It's a little creepy.
Josh Mayfield
How much further?
MC Henderson
A few more steps and Magnolia Drive should be right here.
Josh Mayfield
Surprise.
MC Henderson
It's not here.
Josh Mayfield
Of course not. Magnolia Drive is a trap street. It's probably the only one left that's near Ocean Bay. Wonder why the map makers didn't just send Simon here. Seattle is so much closer to his home in Vancouver.
MC Henderson
The two of you are the last descendants. I'm guessing they wanted you to meet up and work together.
Josh Mayfield
Yeah, that sounds right.
MC Henderson
So what do we do now?
Josh Mayfield
Look.
MC Henderson
Oh, my God.
Map Maker
Hello, Josh.
Josh Mayfield
Hey. It's good to see you.
Map Maker
We feel the same way. This must be MC it is a pleasure to meet you.
MC Henderson
Hi.
Josh Mayfield
So, what happened? Is something wrong?
Map Maker
Everything is fine. You performed beyond our expectations.
Josh Mayfield
Thanks. Thanks a lot.
Map Maker
MC you demonstrated great courage and wisdom.
MC Henderson
I don't know what to say. I'm a little freaked out right now.
Map Maker
When Josh first met us, he was quite freaked out, too.
Josh Mayfield
So what's up? Why are we here?
Map Maker
The two of you risked your lives to correct our mistake. So we would like to reward you with a gift that is well suited to your individual talents.
MC Henderson
A gift for both of us?
Map Maker
That is correct. Josh. As you know, we cannot step beyond this portal. But you should be able to reach in and take this.
Josh Mayfield
Sure. No big deal.
Map Maker
Here you are.
MC Henderson
What is.
Josh Mayfield
Looks like some kind of scroll.
MC Henderson
Is that parchment?
Josh Mayfield
It's a map.
MC Henderson
Are you surprised?
Josh Mayfield
It's so complicated.
MC Henderson
But beautiful.
Josh Mayfield
What language is this?
MC Henderson
And what does that red X mean?
Josh Mayfield
Wait a minute.
MC Henderson
What?
Josh Mayfield
This is a treasure map?
Map Maker
That is correct.
MC Henderson
Amazing.
Map Maker
To find the treasure, you will require a knowledge of maps.
Josh Mayfield
That's me. I'm part map maker.
Map Maker
And a knowledge of history.
MC Henderson
Are you kidding? History is like my middle name.
Map Maker
We hope the two of you will enjoy this adventure. And Josh, the mapmakers would like you to remember one simple fact for the rest of your life.
Josh Mayfield
What's that?
Map Maker
Being lost is so close to being found.
Maddie Smith
Maps are a wonderful thing. Maps help when you're lost. They provide paths. They help you reach your destination. A map is an invitation to explore. To find your destiny.
