Hey, I’m Chloe. A Bible lover, ex Netflix and social media addict, and your biggest cheerleader when it comes to finding phone freedom and hearing the Holy Spirit. I spent much of my 20s numbing with social media and TV shows only to feel more and more insecure. I began to question my calling and purpose and to feel distant from God. I desperately wanted to hear His voice for myself, but I didn’t know how to get there. I finally realized, through an incredible slap-you-up-side-the-head sermon and some God-breathed revelation, that it is absolutely possible to break free from screens and to build sharp discernment of God’s voice. A few simple life habits and key insights took me from being confused on what I was hearing and feeling distracted from listening, to feeling free from my phone’s hold and knowing confidently that I could hear the Holy Spirit. And, I am excited to share these things with you!

When trying to hear the Holy Spirit, we can so often get in the weeds of trying to do what is "best". "What is the wisest, most responsible choice I can make in this situation?" We can put so much pressure on ourselves to choose what is absolutely perfect, and this can be a major distraction from hearing God's voice. And, not just something that makes us distracted, but it can also cause so much spiritual confusion. In today's episode, I am sharing a testimony from my husband and my own recent adventure of following the leading of the Holy Spirit, where we saw the Lord answer a prayer in minutes! We will also dig into Scripture and spend some time talking about a different perspective, a different way to pray that I think will bring you a lot of Biblical encouragement. Hearing different things at different times is the just the pits. Can we all agree on that?! Between the confusion, the feeling of pressure closing in, and maybe even worse than both of those things... the feeling that God is distant. It's just not not not fun. So, let's talk about it. Today, we are in Part 3 of our series on What to Do When You Hear One Thing and Then the Other. This is a very common discernment conundrum I hear young adults often asking about. And, for good reason! I've recently been wrestling this out myself in a particular situation, and it is tough! While I was in the middle of it, I felt the Holy Spirit give me a really sweet prompt that 1. gave me so much Biblical encouragement, but then 2. it also helped open up a conversation with the Lord that took me deeper with Him. My prayer is that today's prophetic nugget will also bolster your faith and trust in God and will give you something to take into your daily prayer life that will help you wrestle through discerning what you're hearing.
