We are adorning our tinfoil hats today.
B
Yes, we should put some on. This is two girls, one ghost.
A
Two girls, one ghost. One day we will have said hats.
B
Until then it's on our list. This. I almost said this is too close. Until then, this is still two girls.
A
Until then we've still lost. We still only have one brain cell. Maybe tinfoil hats, we'll like cook our brain cells and like popcorn and make them duplicate.
B
Yeah, that would be great.
A
What if all of a sudden I,
B
like, severely need it. I need something.
A
Your baby in womb has stolen some brain cells.
B
I've never been pro lobotomy, but why people might question if it could do something for you.
A
Oh, I'm always pro lobotomy in the sense of, like, I'm so mentally unwell that when people are like, what do you need? I say, like, probably a lobotomy.
B
I think I. I definitely do. Yeah.
A
I mean, like, we're not actually advocating for it, but.
B
No, no, no, no, no. But, you know, but actually, I would
A
have been one of those women.
B
Brian and I, when we were in Boston for the baby moon. I had never done the swan boat ride.
A
I've never done a lobotomy.
B
So let's do it. We've never done lobotomies, but I was like, we are like, this is our first time, like, actually kind of like being tourists in Boston, not being residents of Boston. So I was like, let's do the touristy thing. We've never done the swan boat. So we went and we were standing in line for the swan boat. And I'm like, obviously extremely pregnant. And I'm standing in front of these three women. Women, but, like, girls. Like, I think they were like, fresh out of college, and they were having a full conversation about, like, whether they thought that they could handle having kids or not and pregnancy. And then they're getting all into like. But you hear horror stories of women who have kids and feel no attachment to the baby when they come out and they're going, like, deep into all the things they've heard about postpartum. And Brian and I are standing there completely silent. And then, like, I glance over to him and he's looking at me, like, worried that, like, is this show about us? I almost turned around and was like, it does happen pretty frequently, more than you would expect.
A
You pull a cigarette out of your mouth.
B
Let me tell you about my last one. But it was like he was concerned looking at me, and I just looked up. I was like, oh, God, brink of it. We're just trying to enjoy the day. And they're like, oh, man. Postpartum.
A
Wait. Well, how was the swan boats?
B
It was great.
A
I've always wanted to.
B
I got to get very close to the little ducklings. Cause they're just like chirping around at my soccer league.
A
The geese are on the field. And like, it's one of the rules is like, they literally say, one of the rules is try not to hurt the geese. But like, it's like they're just There. And I felt so bad. There was one time.
B
I'm shocked that that's the rule. And not avoid the geese because the geese will hurt you.
A
Well, this is what I'm going to say. So there was one time where the ball went off the field towards the geese. And I. It was a throw in, so I had to like, go get it. And it was towards geese and their baby geese and you know how they get.
B
Literally those little gossips.
A
I was like, approaching. I was like, I'm so sorry.
B
I'm so sorry.
A
And then mamba geese was. And I was like, I'm gonna die. Yeah, swan boat good. Geese bad.
B
But also, I don't want to encounter a swan. They were also scary.
A
True.
B
I'm there for the ducks.
A
Okay, the conspiracy here is. I don't know, we're crazy. We have one brain cell. But we were like, okay, we've talked about so many different types of conspiracies, like the Gateway projects or like CIA projects. Or we recently did Men in Black. Yeah. The Philadelphia Experiment, things like that. Men in Black. We were like, what if we have listener stories that kind of like feed into or back up some of these conspiracy theories? And so that is the theme of today's encounters, conspiracies. And I will start.
B
In a way, it was hard for my mind to wrap around, like, what could be a conspiracy, because in a sense, all of the paranormal is. But I was like, no, I need to go based on the chart that someone who's a non paranormal consumer would be like, oh, yeah, that's a conspiracy theory.
A
Well, I started with the GATE program.
B
Oh, shit. Even straight to it.
A
Because when we covered Gateway tapes, everyone was like, oh, my gosh, we need to dive into the connection to the GATE program. That was one of my favorite episodes ever. Thank you. I think there's a lot of people's favorites too. It was a good one. It stuck with me.
B
It's so good. It was yours. It was your research.
A
We did it. We did it together. I can't do this without you. Like, literally, I would be talking to.
B
I think you're. At this moment, you could.
A
No, no.
B
The brain's not contributing much.
A
It's enough for me. I'll take you just being in any shape. Yeah, we'll weaken at Bernie's you if we need to. That's kind of what we're doing. Okay, so this is from our listener Layla, and it is called gate. Funky Dreams. And then a little bonus. Haunted Tattoo Shop. Hi, Sabrina. Hi, Corinne. It's Laila from Alaska since my last email I've been doing some looking into the gate experiments and I think I might have been a part of them. I just finished listening to the episode where Corinne went to the rodeo in Houston, and as someone who rodeos up here in Alaska and also shows pigs very similar to the cow show that you saw, I want to reassure everyone that the livestock is treated better than the cowboys and cowgirls that ride them. They're very pampered. Anyway, here are my stories. The gate experiments the Gifted and Talented Education Program. They were done from the late 1970s to about the mid or early 2000s. I've seen varying dates from the beginning and end of this program. However, there are mentions of it going as far back as the 1920s, along with varying dates. I've also seen varying accounts of what people have been through and experienced, but I'm going to share what I experienced and how it has affected me in the years since. I used to live in this little armpit town in northwestern Washington State, supposedly where Bigfoot lived, which is a whole other thing. Before we moved, this town had a total of like 800ish people, small enough that almost everyone was somehow related to a good half of the people there. And if you weren't related to someone, you at least knew them. This will all be relevant in elementary school. From about kindergarten to second grade, all of my classmates and I would be pulled out of class for a little while to get our hearing and our reflexes checked by members of the community. Now normally, as far as I could tell, this was legit. They would have us stand in line, we'd read letters, check our eyes, give us hearing tests, tap around our knees with the little triangle hammer thing, et cetera. And our teachers always claimed they did this because not every family had access to these resources or could afford to have them done so. The school provided them with opportunity. Except there were several times where it was just me and maybe four other people who would be pulled out of class and given odd tests. Every time we were asked to do these tests it was run by people I didn't recognize, people who didn't do the other normal tests, and again, I knew damn near everyone in that town. Still, they did these hearing tests with large headphones, but they would play weird frequencies. They would have us answer very odd, very open ended questions and identify difficult patterns. There were also several times they would bring us and we'd be given reading or math tests that were way harder than what we were working on in class at the Time. I was never good at math. Still not good at it today. But the writing was super easy to me. But I remember every day that I would have these classes. I would have a string of really weird dreams.
B
Ooh.
A
I would randomly dream of an entire random day from start to finish, and then have every single event happen in real life a few days later.
B
What in the world?
A
I would dream about how that day was going to go down to a T. I would also have other weird dreams as well. Most of them I can't remember now. But what I do remember is that most of them would make me wake up in a cold sweat. Since looking back into the gate experiments, I've been having weird dreams and occurrences start up again.
B
I'm so curious if this person was friends with the other people that were pulled out of class and if they ever talked about what they were experiencing.
A
I don't know, because there was only like, four people, right? Yeah. Okay, so the following are kind of a set of diary entries. After the few odd dreams that I've had the past few weeks, these are the ones I remember the best after waking up. Entry 1. Last night, I had a dream that I was in a white room. No windows, no doors, no shadows. Just stark, sterile white walls. There was also no noise. It was all so still that I remember panicking because it was so eerie. Too quiet. I remember pounding on the walls, screaming because I wanted out. The vibes were going downhill quickly. And I just remember that feeling of I shouldn't be here. Like something was telling me that if I stayed any longer, I was going to die. I remember, like, the longer that I was there and the more that I pounded on the walls, the heavier my arms started feeling, like it was harder and harder to use them. My arms started moving slower and slower. I started to feel like my legs couldn't hold me up any longer. And I just remember collapsing on the ground. It wasn't long until I couldn't move at all. My whole body felt way too heavy, like I didn't have bones anymore. I was just a lifeless puddle. I really don't.
B
What, were you about to astral project?
A
Or were you in, like, double layers? Alien layer? Yeah, I don't really remember anything after that other than jolting awake, laying in a really weird position. Normally, I'm a pretty reliable side sleeper, but this time I woke up on my back with my legs and arms spread out like a starfish. And I was really sore, like, as if I had done both leg day and arm day at the gym. The day before. It's entry one, which feels like a testing facility.
B
It does.
A
Entry two. I was out in the woods this time. I don't know where in the woods, but it was dark, really, really dark. And I could feel like eyes were watching me from all around. Like there were just creatures sitting in the trees watching me. I couldn't see them, but they could see me. I remember walking or, I don't know, floating. It felt like I didn't have legs, but I remember starting to move one way or another. I knew I wanted to get away from the eyes, but I didn't know where to go to be safe. I remember moving through the trees, but the feeling of the eyes never left. The feeling of someone watching me made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. And again after that, I don't remember anything. But when I woke up, that feeling of eyes watching me never truly went away.
B
Hmm.
A
Entry three. I don't really remember waking up. I also don't really remember ever being asleep. So I don't know how else to explain it other than being in this place where I remember trying to fall asleep, and then all of a sudden, I was here. In this dream. I'm also not sure if I was dreaming, but I do remember I was on my back again. I'm a side sleeper, so this is odd. And I was looking up at my ceiling, but I was not able to move. I wasn't overly concerned about it in the beginning, but I also didn't feel like my emotions were my own. It felt like someone planted them there, and it was this artificial calm. So, like, I couldn't feel my emotions, but I could tell that it was wrong. I remember the only thing I was able to move was my eyes. I tried looking around my room to try to place what was going on. And that is when I saw something in the corner of my room. I don't know what it was, but from what I could see, it looked almost like a shadow person. Its shape and outline were very wispy, like it was made of black smoke with white wisps for eyes. I remember seeing it try to reach out and touch me without ever moving. It didn't move any closer, but it was like the room shrank so that it could reach me. That artificial planted calm also never lifted. So even though, like, I felt a panic deep inside of me, that calm was the main feeling. The only other thing I remember about this was that I felt like I could hear it whispering, but I don't remember what it Was whispering. After it was done whispering, I woke up and it was light outside. And I had no idea if I was dreaming or awake or what the hell was happening. I really don't know what's happening in these dreams, but I do know that I prayed over my room after that and read verses and passages from my Bible that I keep on my bedside table. And whatever that shadow thing was hasn't been back yet. But it's so weird. Like, ever since redoing research into it, the dream started again, and I just
B
keep going in my mind. What is this? Priming people for? Like, this, doing these advanced math. Like, it almost feels like you're in the space, brought in as a kid doing these advanced math problems and listening to these weird tones and, like, doing all this sort of stuff to see if you're susceptible to something to then, like, go on to the next level or be invited somewhere. But it's almost like it doesn't matter. Like, the hypnosis essentially happens there and then what? They're just.
A
They're studying you in the astral plane or something? I don't know.
B
Oh, it's so creepy. Well, if it is related to the
A
Gateway programs, which I feel like there's so many similarities that it kind of feels like they are. But if you remember, in the Gateway Tapes episode, we were talking about how they would, like, kidnap kids and do such a variety of tests, but they evolved over years. Like, they realized they could do it differently, and then they took to schools to find the perfect victims. And Layla. I almost said Alyssa. Cause Alaska. And Layla. Alayla. Layla was the perfect subject. Dang. Okay, so then for the next story, all names have been changed to protect privacy. It's a little bit more lighthearted, less conspiracy. The tattoo shop that I go to is haunted. I was there for a new tattoo a few days ago, and the front door kept opening and closing by itself, which these are push doors, and they're a little heavy, so the aggressive Alaska wind cannot just blow them open. Throughout the four and a half hour tattoo appointment, the doors opened and closed probably a dozen times. At the end of the appointment, while I was getting the second skin put on my fresh ink, the door opened again. And I commented to my artist about the spooky shop ghost, fully meaning it as a joke. And the artist and I are relatively good friends, so we'll trade little jabs now and then. When my artist said that the door's opening was because of Krystal, the legit ghost of the shop that they have named Crystal, she apparently was an old customer who used to come into the shop and apparently didn't start getting tattooed until later in life when she was, like, 80s, and she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. And I was told that she was a super fun, adventurous person who wanted to try to make the most of life, despite, sadly, the little time she had left. So this is.
B
Can you imagine going and starting your whole Tattoo journey at 80? 80? I love that.
A
Yeah, why not?
B
That's great.
A
So part of this, like, end of life thing that she did was getting a full sleeve of tattoos. She had both of her legs done, even got a few face tattoos. Get it? Meemaw. And I was told that during one of her appointments when she was getting tattooed, that she told everyone that when she passed, she was going to haunt wherever they went in case the shop ever moved, because being with those tattoo artists was where her happy place was.
B
Oh, that's so sweet.
A
Chad said that after she passed due to her cancer, they would come into the shop to find drawers open, storage toolboxes moved, the bathroom sink faucet would turn on by itself, lights would flicker, the front door would open and close by itself, along with a host of other things. So they think it's Crystal. So on my way out after my appointment, I also said goodbye to Crystal and said, have a great day. Don't pick on Chad too much. But, yeah, that's my last story. Love you guys so much. See you on the other side. Layla from Alaska.
B
Dang. Now. Okay, well, Layla clearly is experiencing a lot and a different variety of things, but now I'm so curious. If Layla did the full Gateway tapes, what would happen?
A
I feel like these experiences are so scary. Like, I wouldn't want to.
B
True.
A
That's the thing is, like, hearing tests, it's the beeps. They don't play frequencies. That's the Gateway tapes. Someone actually sent me a DM the other day and was like, hey, I just listened to your episode on the Gateway tapes and heard you talking about your experiences with them, and it made me want to try them. But now can you tell me where you downloaded them from? Because I'm scared I'm going to download the wrong one and someone's going to have put their own frequencies and fuck with my head. And I didn't even think of that.
B
Never something I thought about.
A
And I was like, I don't know the ones I've been doing. What if that's what's happening?
B
No, but you've been having fine experiences.
A
I've been having fine experiences. But what if it's programmed the tape 6 is the next one I'm gonna do and next thing you know mentoring and candidate.
B
The full Gateway tapes could be the same. You know that's true. Some people have great divine synchronous experiences and others don't stay tuned. But didn't you link where you got them in that episode?
A
I'm pretty sure I put the Google Drive link in the episode show notes and they're on Spotify. You can search the Gateway tapes if you have a Spotify membership. You can listen to them for free. okay, so I was desperately searching our inbox for an Area 51 related story, but we don't have any. The few that we did get, we already read.
A
So more people need to go to Area 51 and tell us what happens.
B
Yeah, so I just did. Adjacent to that, which is aliens and UFOs, which I guess in my mind I'm like, that's not a conspiracy. But it kind of is.
A
Yeah.
B
Some people fully don't believe. And then it wasn't until recent years, in the past few years, that government agencies and whatnot have started to come out and say, no, there really is.
A
Yeah. And they're declassifying things.
B
Yeah.
A
So it definitely qualifies.
B
So it's like a newer conspiracy theory that still has a ton of conspiracy around it because people are like, okay, well why are we.
A
There's still a lot of unknowns.
B
And I also feel like there's a million conspiracies wrapped up with all of the UFO and alien news. Because every single time anyone publicly said something about aliens or UFOs, they're like, okay, well what else is happening in the world that they're trying to distract us from? So that's my justification.
A
You don't have to justify to me. I'm also any excuse for alien stories right into.
B
Yeah, okay, so this is called otherworldly. Hey, ladies. First off, I love your podcast. You two are a couple of funny badass fuckers. Don't change a thing.
A
Funny boo boos over here. Wait, actually I kind of like that we're funny boo boos instead of honey boo boos.
B
They said no.
A
I know. That's just what my brain went to. I said it and I liked it.
B
Am I glitching? Am I hallucinating? Second, I work in an oil field and I spend most of my day driving between locations. So what do I listen to you?
A
S. Hehehe.
B
This story is not about ghosts, but it is about aliens. I was about 7 or 8 years old when this took place. So this was back in the 70s. So yes, I am old as fuck. No, no, no, no. I fell asleep on the couch one night and my parents just let me be. They went off to bed and then sometime later, we all awoke by a loud crash and slam. The front door had come open, slammed against the wall, and my dad figured it was just some freak wind or something and then closed the door and locked it. We all went back to bed and this time I was in my room. Within 30 minutes, the same loud crash and slam. The door had blown, quote, unquote, blown open again. But this time my dad closed it and locked it and moved the recliner over in front of the door. I was kind of scared and I remember my dad being visibly shaken as well. So then we all go to bed again. I laid in my bed, afraid to close my eyes. My room was on the backside of the house and the way my bedroom was situated, the moon shined through my window onto the wall.
A
Spooky.
B
All of a sudden I see a shadow moving across my wall. There was something walking outside. I knew there was nothing tall enough out there to put a shadow on my wall where I was. So I ran to my parents room screaming, terrified. They checked my room. My mom looked out my window. My dad went out to the backyard. Everything seemed in place. I remember both my parents being pretty shaken by the events. But we all went back to bed again. I wasn't about to get back into my room, so I did go sleep on the couch. The next morning, we're all in the kitchen getting ready to eat breakfast and my parents were listening to news on the radio. All they were talking about were the UFO sightings by airline pilots at the regional airport the night before. My parents looked at each other horrified and then looked at me. I knew they had to be thinking that I really did see something out my window.
A
Now I'm so curious, like, who else was impacted? Like, what other like, weird phenomenon was happening?
B
I know, especially like the door getting blasted open too.
A
It's like, like bursts of energy, right?
B
So was that like, was someone else getting abducted and they were just like, nearby enough that when they got like, beamed up and like thrown back down or something, that was the door. I remember my dad going to the front door to get the newspaper and he came back in and was white as a ghost. My mom asked what was wrong and he took her hand and led her to the door. I, of course, had to follow. And in our yard were three burn marks in a triangle shape. In the days following, I remember my parents talking to neighbors and other family about the whole incident. And they believe that aliens actually landed in our yard for sure. Possibly tried to enter our house. I have no idea if my parents ended up speaking to the police or any type of authority. It was a long time ago.
A
Oh, my gosh.
B
Anyway, hope you enjoyed my story from Dave.
A
Dave, I loved your story. Aliens landed in your backyard.
B
The aliens in my yard.
A
This reminds me of. There's like, we've definitely talked about this before, but in the town over from where I grew up in New Jersey, they have like, the. One of the largest hot air balloon festivals. And every summer, it's every July. So every summer you'd go and you'd watch them all, like, take off from this massive field, like, hundreds and hundreds of hot air balloons. And then you'd go home. And throughout the day, like, we had walkie talkies, and we'd walkie talkie each other in the neighborhood. Be like, the Energizer bunny's going down in so and so's backyard. And we'd all like, sprint over there and watch it, like, so fun. Crash down in their backyards.
B
And the people just like, awkwardly on it, like, hi, in the basket.
A
They're radioing to their. Their van that would come pick them up. Yeah, but alien version.
B
Damn aliens. Who's to say that Dave and his family didn't actually get abducted and are just missing time because they keep going back to sleep. They keep going to bed.
A
Okay, so we have two options. I mean, both of them are going to get read. But you're saying lost time. I have a lost time story or I have a Men in Black story.
B
Let's do Men in Black or no, let's do nevermind.
A
Okay, well, I'll do the time glitch. Okay, that's what you said first. That was your first gut. And this, it's conspiracy. Because our listener sent us this story, then listened to an episode of ours and was like, wait a second. Did me and this listener experience the same thing at the same time? And like, this is what happened. So it's a piecing together of a conspiracy. The subject line is death, timeline, jump, glitch, imagination, dream. You tell me. This is from our listener, Jaden. Hello to the ladies I've never met but feel like my besties. My name is Jaden. She her? Yes, you can use my name. So why don't I tell this story? Besides once in my life. Because the one time I tried to tell it, the further I got into the story, the less I knew what the hell happened to me. Maybe it was simply a dream. Maybe I imagined the whole thing. Or maybe I died in another lifetime and popped into the current one I'm living in now. I don't think I will ever truly know, but here goes. This story starts when I was like 18 or 19 years old. I was a freshman in college at Carroll University in Wisconsin. And my roommate and I must have been talking about near death experiences, because all of a sudden I was remembering this wild, twisted experience. Here's what I remember. I was somewhere between 16 and 18 years old, driving down a dark road. It was winter in Wisconsin. It was not snowing, but it was a little hazy. The roads were empty, and I was on my way home. And I knew exactly where it happened. Being careful for black ice. I was just cruising, listening to music and getting ready to approach the same stop sign I have known my entire life when suddenly I had the sense that my car was spinning. I grabbed the steering wheel tight enough that my knuckles were white and my body was stiff in preparation for impact. The next thing I knew, I was no longer in my body. Like I knew I was still in that car. But my mind was pulled into a vision, so I was no longer on this dark road. Instead, I was seeing bright white, fuzzy memories as if they were captured in a Polaroid picture or an old camcorder.
B
It sounds like you died.
A
I could see me, my mom, my dad. I was playing with my sisters, laughing with friends, the sunshine. No fear. Only peace, only love. I wasn't worried about myself or the car, just looking at this beautiful life that I never fully got to see from the view I was now seeing it in. When the vision was over, my car was straight in the correct lane. I was back in my body as if nothing had ever happened.
B
Ugh, this is like, did you die and enter a new.
A
That's one of the questions. The rest of the memory is a blur, but I remember feeling really confused and surprised and just driving home because what else was I supposed to do? And this is the point where I really start second guessing myself because I cannot answer when this happened or what happened after. I mean, normal teenagers get into near car accidents, tell their family immediately and have it scarred in their brain for a long while. But why is it that I feel like I have no absolute definitive recollection of it? Was I daydreaming while I was driving and I got really into imagery? Or did it happen and my brain blocked most of it out out of fear? Was it all a complete dream? Was it a warning from an ancestor telling me to be careful or. My new favorite theory your podcast helped me consider is maybe, just maybe, I was a teenage driving home in the dark. I hit black ice. My life flashed before my eyes. I died, and my consciousness slipped into a different timeline where the accident didn't happen. Maybe I'm now living the life that I'm in in a different timeline where I got home safe and got to keep living with a hint of that memory. But when I was telling this story to my college roommate, it felt like a factual story as it came into my mind and I was sharing it, but I'm still so confused by it.
B
Well, it makes me. It also makes me wonder, like, is there anything that is slightly different? Any other memories that are, like, slightly off?
A
So then we get an update. The update was sent, like a week later. Okay, my goals, I need to update you. So I sent the above email to you. This is a story I had only ever shared once before. Like I said, it detailed my experience with a possible time shift. Wow. Emailing it got me in the mood to tell the one other person in my life that would maybe actually believe me. Her name is Sam. She's the one who introduced me to tgog. Thanks, Sam. Sam and I were getting lunch and I pulled this email up to read it to her, and her mind was blown. We were both playing with the idea of this timeline jump theory and decided maybe it would be a good idea to ask the universe and my spirit team for confirmation to see if that's what happened. I never explicitly said, hey, universe, give me a sign. But Sam and I were talking out loud about asking the universe for a sign. I was also going to be seeing a psychic medium in the next month in July. So I was like, oh, maybe I'll bring it up then. Fast forward the day after I got lunch with Sam. The day after I read the email to Sam and we asked for a sign, or talked about asking for a sign. I clicked on a Two Girls, One Ghost episode to pick up where I left off. After finishing an episode the day prior, Encounters195 starts playing. It's Sabrina's 30th birthday. Episode 20 minutes in, Percy's story starts. And by the end of the story, I'm realizing, holy shit, that is so similar to mine. Percy and I were both freshmen in college, driving at night in the dark in the Midwest with the Same unexplainable experience. And we both detailed, not quite remembering the afterwards. Now, to Percy's credit, his seems so much more traumatizing, but it's so weird. Could hearing such a similar story the day after Sam and I talked about wanting a sign be the sign? Maybe Percy and I both really did pass into another timeline and slip into a new one. Yeah, after some reflecting, too. I did notice that roughly a year before my car situation happened, one of my closest friendships shifted. Until now, I thought maybe we were just growing apart as teenagers do. But in a supernatural twist, maybe it feels like it shifted so dramatically because while we were close in the other timeline, when I slipped into this timeline, we weren't as close. We never got back in touch. But I've always felt a deep connection to her. Still so deep that I still have dreams of her and I being on friends, going on road trips and having parties. So maybe there's another timeline that you also exist in where you and this girl are best friends.
B
Or, like, what. Okay, wait, what if they didn't die in the car accident that night?
A
They swapped.
B
They swapped places, swapped timelines. Like, you got displaced. You got booted out of your body to take over another version of your body and then. Cause then it's like, well, if you jump into another one, what happens to the consciousness that was there? Is it absorbed? Are you, like, collecting yourself?
A
I don't know. And then also, like, yeah, just because you spun out on black ice doesn't mean you died. No, I may be reaching for straws and going into conspiracies, lol. But I know you like that shit too.
B
So we're already doing it. We haven't even gotten to the end of the episode or the email. And we're now we are.
A
Love you, spooky ladies. Jayden. Dang.
B
Jaden.
A
And I think Percy's story is the one where he was, like, driving home from college and it was around Halloween. Let's see. No, it was in the summer. But, like, yeah, it was very similar to Jaden's story where they, like, felt a crash and, like, really believed that they died, but somehow came to.
B
Damn. Well, this is actually. This is reminding me a little bit. I recently saw on TikTok, there were these two women in the car and they were recording themselves, like, freaking out and being like, are we experiencing a, like, timeline shift or, like, glitch in the Matrix? Like, what is going on? Because they both, like, these two siblings, these sisters have a vivid, vivid memory of their cousin. So, like, their Aunt's child passing away and drowning when she was like, three. And like, 15, 20 years have passed. And they recently were saying something about, like, some sort of event or whatever, and one of the relatives said something about, like, oh, so and so's birthday, or, like, so and so will be there. And it was like, the cousin who had passed. And they're like, wait, what do you mean? Like, they were. They thought it was, like, super weird that that person was bringing it up. And they're like, why are you saying that? Like, she. She died years ago. And then all of the family got really upset with them being like, why are. Why would you say that she died?
A
But that's also crazy. That means, like, 15 years of life, right?
B
And I, like, just saw comments. People were like, did you never see her at family events? Do you not have any memory of this? Or, like, what are. What is, like, the missing piece? Like, are there photos of you guys together, like, family events, and you just have no memory of it? Because there's some shift. But, like, you know, we're recording a lot of episodes ahead of time. So this just happened on social media in May, in the month of May,
A
but this comes out in August, so
B
I don't know if there will be any updates. I think I liked it or saved it, so I'll have to go back and try to see if they've answered any of the questions people have asked.
A
I mean, time itself is a conspiracy because we know it's a construct that we've made up. We don't know how it works. It's like a whole dimension.
B
I don't know.
A
Time is one of those ones that's really hard to not think about it
B
in a linear fashion.
A
Well, yeah, because we need to in order to, like, survive. But yeah.
B
And our bodies, all at once. Our bodies operate linearly. That's what we think, but our consciousness doesn't.
A
We think our bodies do, but.
B
But then would it be the same in space? Like, is it girl?
A
I don't know.
B
Girl.
A
Girl, I don't know. But you have another glitch in the Matrix story, so.
B
Yes, I do.
A
Let's read it. And then we'll end with men in black.

B
okay, this is called Glitch in the Matrix Time travel story. Hello ghoulies. My name is Em, longtime watcher. So maybe YouTube?
A
YouTube just in our homes through the window.
B
Long time lurker.
A
Tap tap, tap.
B
But first time submission. And I'm very excited to finally be sharing this with you. I have always been connected spiritually to whatever's out there. So paranormal experiences are not necessarily new to me. I also used to lucid dream every night until I was about 13 years old.
A
That's a whole conspiracy as well. Like how do some people lose a dream? How do we get control when we all fall asleep?
B
Where do we go?
A
Where do we go? Mall World.
B
I have some wild stories about some of my dreams. But this particular experience is one of the first and strongest that I've ever had. And after a specific awakening that I've had in my life, time related experiences similar to but not as intense as this have been a recurring thing in my life. I'm going to portray this as best as I can, but it might get confusing given that there are two separate instances that I'm going to talk about. This is called the dream. This originally occurred at the beginning of 2020. I was still living with my parents and they were Divorced, so went back and forth between their houses. This part of the story happened at my dad's house. At the time, I was very into learning how to astral project intentionally and would often listen to guided meditations before I went to bed.
A
Okay, Em, are you gonna teach us?
B
Yeah, like link the ones that you listen to. This time, however, when I fell asleep, it felt different. I was wiggling my feet to try to get out of my body, but they wouldn't budge. And in this quote unquote dream, I was in control. I was aware it was similar to what would happen in a lucid dream, but it didn't feel like a dream world. I was much heavier, much more grounded than my dreams feel. I recognized a few things around me as familiar, but the room was different and I was with someone that I didn't know at the time. The main thing I noticed was a similar glow of the thermostat that I used for my snake's heat pads at my mom's house. So I deduced that I was myself, but I didn't know when or where I was in this state. Like I said, I was in control of my body, and eventually I was able to speak to the person that was with me. And this whole time, there was another set of thoughts in my head. I could understand and communicate with these
A
thoughts, but they weren't think of like
B
sharing your brain with someone and hearing and understanding their thoughts, but like they're coming through as your own thoughts. Telepathy, but then not being able to control them. I don't remember much else that I could discern from the dream that I had at the time, but that is because I'm mainly remembering this as being on the receiving end of the situation here.
A
Like you were a visitor in this experience. Ugh.
B
However, the thing I remember so vividly was that when I woke up, I did not have any dreams after that experience, which was really unusual for me. It was kind of like you blink and you wake up, which has never happened to me outside of this experience. But I was fully rested, very out of touch with reality for a few minutes, and I got out of bed. I'm still out of touch with reality. And instead of going to the bathroom and doing my normal morning routine like I always do, I went straight into the kitchen to get a glass of water. And while I was grabbing my water, I heard someone or something say, you won't remember this. In my head, I was a little defensive, not going to lie, and I thought something like, well, how the hell am I going to forget something like this? That's insane. I'm going to make a point to remember this. You can't stop me. But sure enough, the more I made the point to remember, the more I could feel this memory slipping away until it felt like I was grasping at something that was never there to begin with.
A
That's so creepy.
B
It was extremely frustrating. And I remember asking why? To whatever or whoever this was. And I did get a response. You aren't meant to have this information. It will play out differently. If you know what will play out differently?
A
Life.
B
You will remember when it happens. Ominous. Ooh. When what happened? I still have no idea if this was a spirit guide talking to me. My higher self, Me from a different time, Some sort of entity? I have no idea. But after I sat down on the couch to collect myself, I just knew that I was forgetting something about my dream. And it was something that was so important. But what that was, I didn't know
A
because you weren't supposed to know.
B
I remembered that I was forgetting something for about a week or so, but then eventually I forgot about the experience altogether. So I'll be referring to this part of the story as the dream and the past tense. Me as my dream self. So now onto the actual experience.
A
So the time that you're supposed to actually now remember it.
B
Yeah. Fast forward to late 2020. I had a boyfriend that I didn't have previously, and I moved out of my dad's and into my mom's house fully in this time. I also had moved bedrooms from upstairs into the basement.
A
Spooky.
B
This particular night, I had partaken of the marijuanas with my boyfriend at my mom's house, and we were getting ready for bed. I was very zooted, which, in hindsight, I think maybe was needed to elevate my consciousness enough for this to take place. I was laying in my bed. My boyfriend went to go shut off the lights. I remember he shut off the lights in my room. And as he did that, I felt weirdly heavy, almost like dissociative, but not quite. I was still completely coherent, but my spiritual body felt like it was slippery, if that makes sense. Then he went to turn off the lights outside of the room. And as the lights were flipped off, boom. It was like a light switch was flipped for me instantaneously. I was no longer in control of my body. I could see that my eyes were seeing. I could hear what my ears were hearing. I could feel my body physically, but I was trapped. I couldn't do anything. Almost immediately I remembered the dream, the dream that I had forgotten and everything made sense.
A
Oh, my God.
B
I didn't freak out. If anything, I was enamored to be having this very unique experience. My then boyfriend came back into the room from what was then a previously awake M to a seemingly sleeping M. And he was asking if I was okay, if I was.
A
Because it's a matter of seconds.
B
Yeah. Which is freaky.
A
Yeah.
B
He was very sweet about it. And I was trying to tell him that I was in fact not asleep. But again, I could not do anything. I felt like my consciousness took a literal backseat to my body. It actually felt like my consciousness was at the back of my head when
A
I'm so curious if eyes were open or closed because.
B
Ooh, oh my God. I'd be imagining having a medical emergency.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
I could also sense what my dream self was experiencing and hear my thoughts, what they were thinking, but it was like a separate stream of thoughts in
A
my head, like simultaneous. You're awake and asleep and experiencing both
B
consciousnesses and like too aware of like
A
your own, but trapped in it.
B
Yes. My dream self was pretending to be asleep but slightly wiggling their feet originally trying to get out of my body. I was trying to get dream me to talk to my boyfriend, but I mean, obviously you're somehow transported into a then unfamiliar environment and then an unfamiliar person and it's like, what the fuck is even happening in this moment? It's gonna take me a minute to get adjusted. I also will say I have some social anxiety. And to my dream self, this guy was just a co worker, but I wasn't really that close to him. Eventually my dream self was able to mutter out, I am not sleeping and I am just really high. While we're both trying to figure out what to do in our head. My boyfriend seemed to be okay with that, but did appear to be a little worried my dream self wasn't all that keen on talking to him. And how could I explain that this was happening? Oh, this is so weird.
A
It's like a past life version of you is coming through in the future.
B
Yeah. Because originally you're like some other guy was there and I have no idea who it was. And it's your boyfriend in a few years.
C
Wild.
B
Oh my gosh. And the other thoughts are like yours, but you really high in the future.
A
Yeah.
B
Oh, okay. So everything is making me feel like I'm sounding like a lunatic, but I end up pulling so much strength to be able to slightly explain what's going on to him. It Felt like I was screaming and pushing with all of my might and willpower to control my body for only a few seconds. I was able to very quickly spit out something like, I'm not in control of my body right now. I had a dream about this months ago. She's in control. I can't do anything.
A
Can you imagine also being the boyfriend, being like, what the hell do I do with this? Like, she's in control. Are you possessed?
B
It's literally her from a few weeks ago.
A
Yeah.
B
I immediately got pushed back into my head again, and it was exhausting. He asked me to do something, and my dream self still was not talking to him, so my body was just seemingly asleep again. He, of course, was very confused and very concerned. Poor guy. But took it like a champ. Followed along with whatever I was saying for the most part. After a few seconds, I was able to push to the front and answer to whatever question it was that he had. And my past dream self was aware and could control my body. And it's really hard to be in control. But this is also, like, so confusing about. It's like battling who's in control and who can say what, right?
A
It's confusing for us. Can you imagine what it is?
B
Oh, my God.
A
For her to experience, like, that's wild.
B
I remember my dream self being like, what are you doing? Don't tell him that I don't want to talk to him because I was so shy. And during this time, I was able to explain to my dream self who he was, where we were, that it was okay to talk to him. And my dream self also probably asked me some other questions, which I answered, but I don't really remember specifically. I did, shortly after get my dream self to talk to my boyfriend, and she asked questions like who he was, even though I told her when they started dating where they were. And this lasted for over an hour, which.
A
So this is, like, the parts of it that dream self couldn't remember back then.
B
And also it explains why she was like, things were familiar in the room, like the heating pad and stuff, but like.
A
But different.
B
But different. Cause she was in the basement, like, converted part of the basement into an
A
oven, and it was her mom's house. Yeah.
B
This lasted for over an hour, which slowly got less and less intense. My boyfriend was so tired, and after ensuring that I was okay, he just kind of went to sleep. Eventually, I was able to fall asleep, too. And I don't remember anything else notable that happened during this time. I'm pretty sure I was talking to My boyfriend and asking questions and figuring out stuff. I also know that I was having conversations with myself about this too. When I was laying there falling asleep, I remember it felt like my consciousness was falling in between the past when I was in the dream and the present, which was really terrifying. I was scared that if I fell asleep, I might not be in the present when I woke up. Here I am today. Though I did wake up in the present.
A
Well, at least it was with a version of yourself. Like, worst case, you freaky Friday with yourself.
B
It kind of reminds me of the book in five Years.
A
Did I make a movie of that?
B
I have no idea. But it's about a girl and she. She might have a different boyfriend in each. She's like, floating between her life five years ago and a present life five years in the future and keeps, like, swapping back and forth.
A
It's in development right now.
B
Oh, and Em writes, I was also with that boyfriend until earlier this year in 2025, so somehow that did not scare him off. I'm grateful with how he handled it. Thank you for listening. I hope you have a wonderful day. Em.
A
Wow. And now we get an email from Em's ex boyfriend. I used to date a girl who
B
was possessed by herself.
A
Was possessed by herself. That is wild. And I've never heard anything like that.
B
And like battling like you yourself, your consciousness battling over who gets to say or do something and who's in control of the mainstream of thoughts.
A
This is like simultaneously making me want to do more of the gateway tapes and less of them, which the more will win for sure.
B
Yeah.
A
Because Em was saying, like, they were doing meditations and like learning how to like, lucid dream and get into this.
C
But.
A
Yeah. Do you get mixed up and confused? There's some things that we. I don't think we're meant to know. And that's why.
B
Yeah.
A
I don't know. But now I want to do them more.
B
Yeah. It is so freaky. And to think that, like, you can be possessed by yourself or like you can. You can harm yourself, like in this weird astral state, like you can get in your own way. Sorry, I have has baby moving. I got something hitting me right here. Pretty weird to have like a living creature inside of you, like, growing.
A
Like you're growing another pair of balls. This. This time around, you've grown two sets of balls. Men. Can't say that
B
I'm more man than any man.
A
You are. You've created more man than man has created by himself.
B
Double the testosterone.
A
And that's being a woman.
B
And that's on women.
A
Okay. And now we're gonna be on Men in Black. Okay. This is a story from our listener Stephanie, who says, good morning. I have a super strange story that happened to me and a friend a few years back. I'm now 23, but this happened when I was probably 17 years old. So here's what I can remember from the best of my memory. I'm from a decent sized town that connects with another town, same school district. And one night, my friend and I were driving back to my house from the neighboring town. It was dark, it was late, and the roads are pretty empty usually at this time. So we're driving back on the back roads and we turn onto a side road that leads to my house. On this side road, there is a train track that is laid over a bridge. So train track, bridge, little things underneath the bridge. This bridge is tiny. It's just a tiny dip into the ground, like a ditch, maybe with 6 inches of water in it. As we're driving, all of a sudden we see three to six tall men wearing dark suits, top hats, and holding briefcases come from under the bridge, running.
B
Ew. Ew. This so feels like a movie scene from Men in Black.
A
The friend I was with does not believe in anything supernatural or creepy, but he was seeing this too, and I was so glad he was, because if I had seen it alone, nobody would have believed me. We got so freaked out and kept driving, but we turn around, like, 20 seconds later. We're not far away from where we saw these people, but when we turn to look, not a single soul is in sight. I don't like that there was nowhere for them to go because they did
B
their weird, like, wand thing and just slipped into another dimension. Yeah, yeah.
A
There was nowhere for them to go. There were no cars around. That area is mostly industrial buildings, stuff like that. Also, nobody in my town dresses like that. It was one of the most eerie things that we've ever experienced. And not to mention the feeling. We felt like the atmosphere was different. To this day, I think about it and I cannot figure out what it is. I got so scared to tell people because I was scared that the men in black would show up to my house or something. Yeah, like, it felt like we were not supposed to see them. They truly looked like the men from the government. You hear stories about that show up to your house to threaten you or whatever. So, yeah, I don't know. Were they ghosts? Did we have dimensions? Are they men in black?
B
It's interesting because it's like the Men in Black's whole shtick is them being worried about you seeing something that you shouldn't have. But it feels like seeing them just warrants a Men in Black visit.
A
Right.
B
Like, they're also weird.
A
It's so scary.
B
Now this is making me want to get more emails from people, like security guards, like people who are watching cameras.
A
Mm.
B
Like, have you seen weird stuff happen on the camera? Do you just peruse CCTV and something like this gets like flagged or something?
A
I mean, we recently did like a video camera evidence 1. But then there's like so many things get missed too.
B
Right.
A
Also, there's people who cameras on their cars all the time.
B
Oh, go look at your.
A
Yeah.
B
At the, like email the city. Hey, something weird happened in the warehouse area.
A
Well, now I'm also very curious because it's not totally clear from this email, like, were they running under the bridge away from them or running through the bridge towards them? Because if they were going under the bridge, like, maybe the bridge is a portal. Like you're saying, like they like were zapping into another world, but they're running under.
B
I thought that they were kind of next to the bridge and they were witnessing them run away and under. Yeah.
A
I don't know.
B
And then just not pop out the other side.
A
I don't know. And what are they running from? What did they steal from our dimension?
B
Yeah. Ooh. Run away from the bridge. What if the weird lizard creature is gonna come out now?
A
I wanna go to that bridge.
B
Now you wanna go there?
A
Yeah, just set up a little like lawn chair. Yeah, but what are the cheese margarita
B
go back to the same spot.
A
But if that's their portal where they come and go, or even if it's a portal in general, what else can come and go from there?
B
Oh, see, I was thinking of it more of like a doctor Strange style portal where like they don't just exist in a specific space. It's more of like you create it wherever you want. Like you're a little looper. Like you jump through.
A
But like, it has to be like a bridge space.
B
Got to go pick up your Starbucks and portal over there.
A
And why they have to go under the bridge?
B
It just happened while they were running under.
A
They like an obstacle course or that
B
they're like, used to. Maybe they needed cover and then portal themselves.
A
We don't know. And this is why it's conspiracy theories.
B
No, conspiracies are great. I like, want to go to my phone and be like, okay, let me read the next one. But that's it for now.
A
For now. For now. And we actually have an upcoming topic, time Glitches. Because I think we were both like, wait, we want more of stories like this.
B
We love a glitch like this.
A
We love weird things. We've created our whole lives and business around it. So much so that we did this.
B
And I feel like we have enough stories to keep doing stuff like this. People keep emailing, which is good. Keep keep on sending them.
A
That's the message. That's the, that's what we should end on. If you have any encounters, any like if you were in the GATE program and are feeding into this conspiracy and you're like something weird was happening. If you have any conspiracies, seen men in black, been abducted by aliens, had a glitch in time, I don't know, were a part of the Philadelphia Experiment, whatever it may be, please email them to us because we want to know more.

In this episode, Corinne and Sabrina don their "tinfoil hats" to dive deep into listener stories connecting paranormal encounters with classic and emerging conspiracy theories. The theme spans everything from shadowy government programs and alien visitations to time glitches and astral projection mishaps. Along the way, the hosts enthusiastically connect dots between GATE and Gateway Tapes, Area 51, Men in Black sightings, glitches in the matrix, and mind-bending experiences that question the nature of time and reality—all with their trademark mix of humor, empathy, and genuine chills.
