Corinne
Hello.
Sabrina
Hey. I'm scared and excited about today's this one. I'm like, why did you pick to do this right when you're about to have a child?
Corinne
I basically chose. If you didn't already read the subject line. Subject line from my email that I sent to all of you personally.
Sabrina
To whom it concerns.
Corinne
No, I wanted to do an episode with evidence caught on baby monitors. And how much more appropriate could it be than on my due date?
Sabrina
Literally, this comes out on your due date.
Corinne
I'm due July 15th. But I'm gonna guess that I've already had the child two weeks ago.
Sabrina
I. I'm gonna put my money on that.
Corinne
I mean, Noah came 12 days earlier than his original due date. And then recently, they didn't officially change it, but they bumped me up by, like, 13 days.
Sabrina
They're like, it probably is earlier.
Corinne
Yes. And then we had Lena.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
One of our listeners was just like, I had a dream, a premonition. She didn't say premonition, but I was like, that's a premonition.
Sabrina
It was a premonition. Yeah.
Corinne
That we were recording campfire stories, and I was like, oh, I think I'm having contractions. I gotta go a little bit early.
Sabrina
Honestly, this might be your sign to go join Patreon and come join us every Tuesday. And maybe Corinne will go into labor in the midst of everyone knows my

Corinne
Some things on Patreon we forget we don't personally know everyone. Yeah.
Sabrina
You know, it's a safe space over there. It's a community. Also, this is a podcast called.
Corinne
Oh, this is Two girls, one ghost.
Sabrina
Two girls, one ghost. We are your ghostesses. That's Corinne. Hello, I'm Sabrina. And yeah. So to whom it concerns today's subject
Corinne
line is evidence caught on baby monitors and Reddit stories. Oh, yes.
Sabrina
Which people love. People just gobble that shit up.
Corinne
Gobbledy, gobbledy gobbled.
Sabrina
And read it up.
Corinne
I shouldn't sing Cardi B. That's not very kid appropriate for a kid based episode. Episode. But neither are these hauntings really
Sabrina
scary.
Corinne
I haven't caught anything weird on Noah's monitor other than him talking, communicating to seemingly with someone that's there. But like, I didn't see any orbs. I didn't hear anyone. I didn't see anyone.
Sabrina
But a lot of like, even our listener stories that were about baby monitors were people like hearing their kids talk to someone else, seeing them interact with someone else. Noemi once started talking to someone that was like up in the corner of the room.
Corinne
Oh, in the corner of the room. That's creepy.
Sabrina
And like we were like, well, maybe she was like looking up where the camera like. Cause the camera's up in the corner of the room. Like, was she like talking to one of us who like, will occasionally, like, you know, radio. Radio in. But no, it was definitely a weird.
Corinne
I haven't done the talking to Noah over the baby monitor because I think it will scare him. So I don't say anything. I just go in when he's calling out. It is strange. Like the two times that I saw Noah talking, seemingly talking to someone because he's not expressing full language yet. There's just like a lot of it was him going, mm, mm. And like he was listening. Both times he was looking at the chair. Like someone was sitting in the chair
Sabrina
reading him a bedtime story.
Corinne
Maybe also just like that is such
Sabrina
a horror trope now.
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
It's like, what are you catching on? Baby monitors or cameras in general?
Corinne
It's so freaky. Shall we begin?
Sabrina
Let's do it.
Corinne
Baby monitors meant to alleviate some stress from parents. Right. They've been around for a very long time. So whether kids are napping or sleeping in their own room or parents simply need to step away for a moment, which happens. I wish I could go back and tell myself that when I had a newborn.
Sabrina
Well, you can tell yourself that now before you have your newborn.
Corinne
Yeah, I keep saying that stuff to myself, being like, oh, well, like this time. And then I have to remind myself I didn't have a normal newborn. I had an extreme colic, silent reflux child who couldn't be laid on their back.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
And was literally kept upright for a year. So I gotta be kinder to myself. Yes. My situation was different.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
But maybe I'll have a. To say normal. But maybe I hope normal experience this time.
Sabrina
Yeah. Okay.
Corinne
Anyway. Meant to give people peace of mind. The creation of the first baby monitor I read was actually rooted in a terrible tragedy. It was because of the abduction of baby Lindbergh. Do you remember that case?
Sabrina
That's why they were created.
Corinne
I read that it basically like can be tracked back to that. Tracked back to that. So on the night of March 1, 1932, 20 month old son of famed aviator Charles Lindbergh was abducted from the second story nursery of his home in Highfields, New Jersey. And the subsequent discovery of a broken ladder, a ransom note, huge search for this infant. And then they found baby Lindbergh deceased. This shocks the public. So sad because they're like, how could a child be snatched in the middle of the night like this, like from their bedroom in the second story of their house. And yeah. This is said to be kind of like the point and catalyst of the creation of.
Sabrina
Yeah. Well it's also like now granted I don't have my own kid, but like even just with seeing my nieces and like how I just think about how much was missed with children and how much was ignored with children who like cry in the middle of the night or like have something happen to them or like a horrible kidnapping.
Corinne
Even when we were growing up, there weren't video monitors just like.
Sabrina
Right.
Corinne
Walk a walkie talkie. Yeah. You just had to listen. Not long after that happened, Eugene McDonald, who was the president of Zenith Radio Corporation, he wanted to leverage his own radio technology to provide parents this sort of like continuous ear in the nursery. And in 1937, five years after baby Lindbergh had been abducted, Zenith, the radio company introduced the quote radionurse, which was the first commercially available electronic monitoring device.
Sabrina
I love that name. Radio nurse. Makes sense. Yeah.
Corinne
Yes. So this was the beginning of basically like technology. The era of bringing technology for babies into personal homes, like outside hospitals and stuff like that. So when we were growing up, we had a much simpler form of baby monitors. It was like the audio transmitter and receiver. Definitely not any video. And I don't know if you ever experienced this, but do you remember the crosstalk that would happen because they would
Sabrina
get like wires crossed.
Corinne
Yes.
Sabrina
And you would hear Neighbors and stuff.
Corinne
It was literally a radio wave. And so, yeah, sometimes you'd pick up what was happening in your neighbor's house. And I remember it happening so frequently with the baby monitor when we lived in Vermont. And I get so excited and I'd be like, trying to eavesdrop and listen to the neighbors and guess who it is. And my mom was so like, okay, these are private conversations. Let's give these people privacy. I mean, turn it off.
Sabrina
That's the rule follower with baby monitors in general is like the privacy and safety of it. Because it's like, can people hack in? Especially something. That's.
Corinne
Right. A WI fi cable connected to WI fi. That's a big thing now. Yeah. Yes. So there's definitely a lot of safety concerns. And actually when I was doing this research, trying to find a bunch of examples of, like, paranormal activity caught so many of the stories were about, like, a parent hearing a weird voice, like, talking to their kid and then discovering
Sabrina
that someone had hacked in.
Corinne
Yeah. Oftentimes it was a hack and it's just like a creep.
Sabrina
That's so sick.
Corinne
It is sick. Ew. Yeah. So now a lot of video monitors, especially the ones that are connected to WI fi, come with the capability of recording or having memory for a certain amount of days. So things are starting to be captured and witnessed and recorded. And we're going to talk about some of them today.
Sabrina
Eek.
Corinne
Okay, so now with baby monitors, one of the most frequent anomalies reported are parancing orbs caught on these video cameras. So a lot of people are like, okay, it's just a piece of dust floating by or like a bug or something.
Sabrina
Just a little spider.
Corinne
Just a spider. But the orbs oftentimes are like, whirring around the child, circling the room, zigzagging just like in a direction or having movement that doesn't quite fit. Dust or a bug.
Sabrina
And sure, I'm sure, like a massive percentage of orb sightings can be written off as like, dust or a bug.
Corinne
Right. But there's air kicks on and something zooms away.
Sabrina
But there's enough with, like, odd behavior and things like that where we're like, we can't say all of them are dust.
Corinne
Right. And there's a lot where it seems to be, like, going down to the child, like as if to check on them or comfort them and say hello, stuff like that. So a lot of people are saying, okay, well, like these baby monitors, they're mostly on night mode. Right. Because there's low light conditions when kids are Sleeping. And so the camera's processor may struggle a little bit to like render this movement and create this sort of trailing type light that you see with a lot of the orbs. La dee da Science, science, tech, tech terms. But again, like you were saying, the behavior is a little bit different, unfortunately. I thought at this point that I would have a video to share of my cousin Addy. When she was little, I texted my aunt Jen and I was like, help me find these videos of Addie.
Sabrina
Oh.
Corinne
When Addie was little, my aunt Jen and Uncle John used to post to Facebook like semi frequently clips of her in her room, in her crib, fully engaging with orbs. You'd see orbs everywhere and she'd be talking to them and it wasn't like they were just zooming around and you were like, oh, it's dust. Like they would go down and just like stop right in front of her crib. And she's like, la la la la la. And there's just like a glowing ball of light right in front of her. So I was looking on their Facebook and I couldn't find them on Facebook. And then I was like, jen, you have to find these for me. She couldn't find them. Then I sent my Uncle John looking in the archives of his Facebook. No one could find them. We have no idea where these are.
Sabrina
How old is Addy now too? Cause it's like that was years ago.
Corinne
It sounds like it was like last year. 12 or 13. Yeah.
Sabrina
So a long time ago.
Corinne
Yeah, yeah, it's long enough ago. This was happening to her when she was like under two.
Sabrina
Right?
Corinne
Addie.
Sabrina
And like you've talked about Addie before, she is constantly experiencing the paranormal.
Corinne
Addie is a creepy kid. Yeah, she has seen a lot. I feel like a lot of the stories I've shared about my little cousin experienced this. It was, it was Addie growing up. She experienced a ton. So alas, the video exists somewhere, but we cannot find it. But there's a lot of other people who have evidence of the paranormal happening to their children. So first we're going to visit a viral moment from 2019. Maritza Sibels, a mother in Chicago, checked her monitor and saw a ghost baby laying next to her 18 month old son, Lincoln. She's like, holy shit, burn the house down to the ground right now. She was positive that this was a spirit, not an intruder, but a ghost baby. And I'm going to show you a picture.
Sabrina
Well, that makes me also think like, did she experience like child loss in the Past. And so I'm like, oh, my gosh. And it's not a baby doll.
Corinne
Isn't that crazy?
Sabrina
Wait,
Corinne
let me continue. So she goes in the room with a flashlight. She can't see anything on the sheet. So she's like, what the hell is going on? But when she looks on the monitor, she sees this ghost baby. It wasn't until the next morning when she realizes the ghost was actually a picture of a baby on the mattress. Oh, my gosh.
Sabrina
Underneath.
Corinne
This is the only one that is disproved. I promise you. Everything else is right. Her husband had changed the sheets and didn't put the mattress protector back on. So through the binge is wild.
Sabrina
Oh, my God, the baby is. Because it also looks, like wrapped in a blanket, like it does.
Corinne
But she. I think she had already, like, posted on social media, being like, oh, my God, there's a ghost baby. And then just she got a little bit embarrassed and had to walk it
Sabrina
back that it was, like, early days of our podcast where you had been explaining to me about, like, the bed shaking phenomenon that you and, like, your family experience. And one morning, I wake up to, like, shaking, and I was like, oh, my God. I literally text you. I go, crin. I think I finally experienced it. Oh, my gosh. My bed was shaking. It was so scary. And then all of a sudden, our other group chat is like, did you guys all feel that earthquake?
Corinne
Whoops. You live in Southern California. Your first thought is paranormal instead of earthquake. I love it. Okay. But that's all to say. Sometimes these things can be debunked, but sometimes they cannot. So now we're gonna move into things that are not debunked. You tricked me. I know. That's why I was like, I feel too bad because you're gonna keep commenting. I was like, no, no, no. This is. That was a tag. Okay. This is the case of Heather Broff and Josh Higgins. They're from Michigan. And in 2019, Heather was watching the monitor to check on her daughter Lily. She was 15 months old at the time. And that is when she saw a ghostly male figure walk briskly past Lily's crib. I think it's like, a pack and play. And then vanishes into thin air. Lily, the little girl, gets up, puts her hands on the side of the pack and play. She's, like, gripping the side and, like, looking around the room.
Sabrina
So she saw the man and was like, where'd he go?
Corinne
Maybe. Or, like, heard movement or, like, something in the room. So Heather thinks there's an Intruder. She runs upstairs, assuming the worst.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
And she finds Lily in her crib in an empty room. So let's watch the clip.
Sabrina
Ooh, I got Chili's.
Corinne
So that like, circle is. Spotlight is on the person moving. And Lily's in the pack. And play.
Sabrina
Wow. You can see the arms moving.
Corinne
Yeah. And then Lily gets up and it's like, hello.
Sabrina
Wow.
Corinne
Freaky.
Sabrina
I love it. But it's also. I can't imagine being a parent and seeing that on your camera.
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
Like, how horrifying. Yeah. Your first instinct would be, someone's in. Intruded into my home and my child is in danger.
Corinne
It's such a, like, weird thing too. Cause I've thought about, like, what if I saw something in Noah's room? What would I do? Because you're. You want to run in and like, grab your child. But also it's like, well, if this is someone that could hurt us, like, do I actually have to take a beat and let my child be in there for like a minute with them while I gather a weapon or necessary items?
Sabrina
Yeah. Ugh. Scary.
Corinne
Yes. So at the time, Heather had already been experiencing things in the house. So there was already some like, question maybe as to whether this house was haunted. She said that she heard a lot of like, unexplained movement. And then one morning she actually woke up feeling like someone was choking her. So this might not be a.
Sabrina
This is not a casual, fun haunting.
Corinne
Yeah, a family member checking in on the baby. The family actually brought in a group of paranormal investigators because it felt like this thing was threatening. And they were scared that this could escalate, especially having a child. And the investigators, in doing research into like, the history of the home and who had lived there before, found that there had been a death. There was a death by suicide from a previous owner in the house. So that's maybe one possibility of who it could be. Or maybe just cause there was such a tragic end to someone's life. Something else darker came in. There were a few news articles on this, but I also couldn't find any update beyond this, where it's like, where are they now? Is Lily okay? Are the parents okay?
Sabrina
Where is she?
Corinne
Okay, so the next bit of evidence, the next paranormal sighting comes from the uk. Love it. I'm gonna butcher all of these names. I'm so sorry. Laura. Hi. Was going to check on her 18 month old son, Sebastian, looking at the baby monitor, a video baby monitor, and she notices something is snuggled beside him. And you can't quite make out what it looks like. It like.
Sabrina
Kind of looks like snake, like Hercules.
Corinne
Oh, interesting. That would scare me.
Sabrina
Horrifying.
Corinne
Yeah. So it's a bit smaller than her son Sebastian.
Sabrina
Okay.
Corinne
And at first thought I was like, oh, this is a teddy bear. And I think she thought the same thing, but it's really shadowy. And Dean, Sebastian's dad, who's also looking at it now, thinks that that's what it is. It's a teddy bear. They don't remember Sebastian bringing his teddy bear into the crib with him when he went to bed. They're like, okay, well, that makes sense. So Dean is like, the teddy bear's in there. But let me go race up and check on him and make sure he's okay. He goes into the room. He sees Sebastian sleeping alone in the room. No teddy bear, no other animals in his crib with him. Yet on the monitor you can still see this image. He's like standing above him looking at the monitor.
Sabrina
Do you have a photo of it?
Corinne
Yes, I do.
Sabrina
That looks like a baby.
Corinne
It does look like a baby with
Sabrina
a binky in its mouth.
Corinne
And it looks like a baby who was moved in the two different pictures. Yes. Like, just snuggled in. Right. So creepy. So you can still see on the monitor this thing. So the parents, this is at night, they put Sebastian to bed. They're still gonna be up for a few hours. So they're watching the monitor as they're like getting ready to go to sleep. And for the next four hours, this figure remains visible on the monitor. And it does move positions for four hours. Yes. But they're like, okay, whatever it is, we can't remove it because we can't see it. Yeah. Sebastian seems to be comfortable. Maybe the two of them just want to cuddle. So they just kind of like watched and monitored the monitor and left it as it was. Yeah.
Sabrina
So like, woo woo in me is just curious if, like if we think of the movie Soul and all the babies on like baby planet who dive off to go down to earth. Like if this was like their little soul tie friend on Baby Planet and they missed each other.
Corinne
Yeah. Or even like if you buy a crib secondhand or something, if there's.
Sabrina
Oh, sad.
Corinne
I don't know.
Sabrina
That makes me think sad things happened.
Corinne
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know either.
Sabrina
But it's wild how like for 4
Corinne
future child that they're going to have.
Sabrina
Interesting. What is time?
Corinne
What is time?
Sabrina
What is the paranormal?
Corinne
It definitely looks like a younger baby, though.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
And you can see like, both Sebastian and this baby changing positions. And you're right, it does look like a pacifier in the baby's mouth. But, like, in the first picture, it's almost like the child's in such a weird position. Like, the ghost baby's in a position where they, like, Sebastian's, like, almost on
Sabrina
top of her, Right?
Corinne
Yeah. So strange. So anyway, they just let them snuggle and cuddle up. And then there's a video which I kept seeing posted in all these, like, top 10 clips of baby mom it or whatever. But I couldn't find the original post. Apparently, it was shared by the parents who were concerned that in their child's crib, the teddy bear seemed to move on its own. So let's.
Sabrina
A real Toy Story moment. Okay. Oh, my God, it's so cute. Wait, play it again. I need to watch it again.
Corinne
And, like, the child is awake.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
But the child's not moving in a
Sabrina
way that would make the doll. And it, like, snaps its head back.
Corinne
Yeah. Which there's no sound or anything. And it does make me wonder if. Because it seems like the kid is just kind of, like, blinking and, like, trying to go to sleep, if the kid knew the teddy bear was moving behind them or was hearing something, like, if they were being spoken to. But the teddy bear is fully. If you're only listening to this episode right now and you're not watching, the teddy bear's head, like, moves fully, like, 30 degrees and then kind of goes back and forth a little bit before returning.
Sabrina
It's got, like, five Night at Freddy's. Animatronic type.
Corinne
Totally. Or, like, OG Chuck. Chuck E. Cheese Band.
Sabrina
Wait, okay. This, like, makes me wonder because I fully believed after watching Toy Story that all of my toys came to life at night. But are all toys just pissed that now there's cameras in the rooms? Because it limits them, but they still have life to them. And they're like, ah, I wanna, like.
Corinne
I wanna, like, a snack in my boo. Yeah, I gotta move.
Sabrina
Leia is obsessed with food, but specifically Smalls fresh cat food. But she goes crazy for it. She screams, meowing for it the second I move it from the freezer to the fridge to thaw out. And she loves the ground bird recipe.
Corinne
Smalls cat food is fresh, gently cooked food made without preservatives. A balanced diet leads to less shedding, fewer hairballs and more skin. Silky shine on your pretty little kitty.
Sabrina
Also, Leia has a very sensitive stomach, especially as she gotten older. But it's so good because Small's food is digestible and like you said, it has no preservatives and it has improved hydration which equals strong bones and toned muscles.
Corinne
Yeah, and less stinky poops.
Sabrina
Yes, I am all about giving my cat the best because she deserves the best and that is why I give her Smalls.

Corinne
Things get darker on the Internet when you go to Reddit and that is what I did. And holy shit, there were some scary ones. Okay, so this is from the user KdRod. They write. Long story short, my father and one of his detective buddies are pretty close. My father's buddy went on vacation with his wife and young daughter. While on vacation he kept getting notifications from the baby monitor app that motion was being detected. He had strange things happen in the home, but nothing that screamed ghost casual Things like things going missing and found right after. House noises in the middle of the night, etc. Anyways, he was at dinner with his wife and his baby girl and decided to check the app. The motion detection captured this picture. I'll show you the picture before I continue. Okay. Are you ready for this? No.
Sabrina
Oh, my God.
Corinne
What? It is messed up. This is, like.
Sabrina
Oh, my gosh. It's like. It looks like it's supposed to be a child, but it's, like, decaying.
Corinne
Yeah. It's, like, gaunt and hunched over. Ooh. So creepy.
Sabrina
Why do I want to look at it again?
Corinne
Here you go.
Sabrina
You can see eyes, nose, mouth. It's skeletal.
Corinne
It is. But the hair is luscious and shiny.
Sabrina
So this is, like, in the living room or something like.
Corinne
Yeah. Whoa. Like, this looks like a baby gate, doesn't it? Yeah.
Sabrina
Or like one of those, like, playpen situations.
Corinne
Yes.
Sabrina
What the heck?
Corinne
So it's somewhere that they had the baby monitor. It looks like it's in the living room because you can see they get so fast and then the baby gate. But yeah. So they continue and they write, nobody was supposed to be in the house. Yet there appears to be a little ghost girl in his daughter's room. Okay, so maybe this was her room or her playroom or something. He instantly called my dad and asked him to go over and search and clear the home. My dad obliged, ended up going over to the home and found absolutely nothing. No creepy noises, nothing. Just an empty house. My dad's friend didn't waste any time and instantly spent the rest of the vacation house shopping. And they actually moved a week after
Sabrina
getting back from just that one image.
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
Which is sad because it makes me think, like, what if it is, like, a little ghost girl who was probably so excited that there's another kid in the house?
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
My empathy goes out to this ghost girl.
Corinne
I don't know. It's freaky. It is freaky because sometimes people have also, I saw some stories about, like, people logging in and seeing another child. It was almost like the glitch was. It wasn't even in their house. It was like a completely different feed coming through.
Sabrina
Scary.
Corinne
But this appears to be in their home.
Sabrina
Oh, yeah. They recognize the room. Yeah.
Corinne
They write, my dad, who's not the biggest ghost believer, even found this picture unsettling. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. My dad hates when I bring this story up for some reason, but it's been on my mind lately. I thought I would share it on here.
Sabrina
And you're like, what would you do if you saw that picture? This picture? I'm imagining it right by my face right now. What would you do if you saw that?
Corinne
Oh, my God. I don't know. Actually, I do know. I'd bust in. I'd say, you cannot be in this room. This is my child's room. This room is off limits. If you mean no harm, you can spend time in other rooms. I'd list the appropriate rooms, give time parameters that they can be there.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
And then I would do what I needed to do to cleanse the house.
Sabrina
Ugh. It's also just sad because it's, like, it's such a scary image, but it's just, like, walking through.
Corinne
Walking. It's constant crawling through.
Sabrina
It doesn't have. It can't control what it looks like. That's not fair.
Corinne
It does make you wonder how, like, this was him checking the baby monitor after getting a ton of notifications.
Sabrina
How many was missed?
Corinne
How many were missed? Because I always wonder that, too, because I get so many notifications in Noah's room about motion detection. Motion detected. I've checked a few times. It's sunlight. Like, dappled sunlight coming through the window and whatever. So I. I don't actively. And I'm always home, so it's like, I know no one's in here, right? So I don't ever check. But, like, how many things maybe have I missed?
Sabrina
Well, I feel that way, too, because I have. When I go out of town, I have, like, a cat camera I have to set up. And, like, occasionally I'll just check in, make sure, like, you know, she's fine. But, yeah, I get so many notifications, I'm not looking at all of them because I know it's like, oh, Leia's probably walking around.
Corinne
Right.
Sabrina
But what if it's something else?
Corinne
That's why we need different settings on these things where it says, like, ghost detected, not motion detected, but, like, face detected. Oh, oh, feet detected. We need to be able to turn on body parts, so we know. Okay. And then I'm gonna end on what I believe personally was the scariest thing that I saw when searching through on Reddit, Reddit and online. So this was posted with basically zero context, so I have no idea the backstory.
Sabrina
Terrifying.
Corinne
But it was posted on a forum for, like, evidence of the paranormal caught on monitors.
Sabrina
Okay.
Corinne
And then just photo drop these two pictures.
Sabrina
The suspense. Oh, no.
Corinne
Here's the first. No.
Sabrina
Okay. Victorian boy.
Corinne
What? I don't even know. Like, it's kind of Yucky. Like, it looks like they're wearing a mask.
Sabrina
Oh, he looks super pale, like he died of the. The plague.
Corinne
And then this is the second. So it's like the same person walking
Sabrina
by, but their face is much blurrier.
Corinne
Do you notice in the crib, is that another child? That's a child watching them?
Sabrina
Why does that child look like Chucky from Rugrats?
Corinne
Why do you think? I think they're just like.
Sabrina
Oh, it's like their eyes.
Corinne
Yeah, their eyes are blurry. Glowing in the monitor. Ew.
Sabrina
We go back to the first one because that's way scarier.
Corinne
But the kid hasn't gotten up yet. It's like they notice that.
Sabrina
Why is it, like, purplish and red?
Corinne
I think probably just from taking a picture, like, of a picture on the computer. You know how like, sometimes it really
Sabrina
does look like a gaunt Victorian child who, like. Because even, like, the clothing in the first one, you can kind of see, like, I feel like they have, like, almost like a ruffly collar.
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
Which feels reminiscent of what men wore.
Corinne
I don't know. And, I mean, it's timestamped, so we can see. It was taken on. I think that's an 8. I think it was August 1st, 2020 at 9:04pm Ew.
Sabrina
So everyone check your baby monitors.
Corinne
Monitoring kids is necessary. And coming in contact with the paranormal, once you have kids that you have to monitor, it seems inevitable.
Sabrina
Added bonus.
Corinne
Added bonus. So that's what I pulled. There's so much more. There's so many clips on TikTok, and there were so many. Oh, there were some good ones that I had saved from, like, a couple years ago, just, like, scrolling on TikTok. But when I went back, there were only reposts of the evidence. And, like, the original poster hadn't, like, had taken it down or privated it, so I didn't want to share those because I thoughts, you know, like, their privacy. Yeah, they're trying to no longer have the images of their children up. So there were a few really good ones, if you want to just look yourself. But I won't publicly be a distributor of those photos.
Sabrina
Well, I found a couple listener stories. They don't have photos, but it is, like, experiences people our listeners had from creepy encounters with baby monitors. Okay, so the first one is from our listener, Brooke, and the subject line is, I can't remember the weirdest thing that ever happened to me. Hello, ladies. I'm a new listener, but I've really been enjoying your podcast so far. I love hearing other people's paranormal stories, as I have several of my own. Although I've had many paranormal experiences throughout my life, this is the one most unexplained and still leaves me questioning things 14 years later. To preface, I'm originally from Texas, but I've lived in seven states total and this incident occurred in South Carolina just outside of Charleston in 2012. I was one year out of high school and my mom and I moved to a suburb right outside of Charleston. I was attending a community college in the area and working as a part time nanny. This nanny gig was with a family I met on one of those online care sites and upon meeting the family they seemed relatively normal and both my parents actually met them as well. The mom of the family was a realtor and the dad was an investigator slash detective. The girls I was going to be nannying were 3 and 7. Here's where we start to get to the weird part. I don't remember their names. I don't remember the mom's name, I don't remember the dad's name or either of the daughters. Even weirder, neither can my parents.
Corinne
Oh that is weird.
Sabrina
And my dad to this day claims he never met them even though he went to their house with my mom and I.
Corinne
Was this just a full on ghost family?
Sabrina
This didn't happen over time either. As soon as I was done yannying it was like oh flip of the switch. We couldn't remember anything and it still gives me chills but I remember moments from the job so my job was to pick up the younger child from preschool around lunchtime and then pick up the older one from school at the end of the day, then keep them until the evening when the parents got home. From the start all the vibes felt off. The house was so creepy even though it was a newer build and I was mostly alone with the younger child because again the older one I would pick up later and then often would go play down the street at a friend's house. They also had a dog who would bark at or charge at what appeared to be nothing multiple times and one time he even knocked a lamp off the table doing this. On one rare occasion the older child was home and I was watching a crime show, but when she came inside the room I went to change it. She asked me why I was changing it and I said because it might be scary for you. And this child 7 year old girl says what? Dying? That doesn't scare me. You don't even want to know about Italy.
Corinne
What is this like Past life coming through, like, oh, I died in Italy and it was horrific. You don't even want to hear that story. Which, this is such a weird. Oh, my God, kids are messed up.
Sabrina
Kids are creepy. Brooke said that seemed like a very strange thing for a seven year old to say, but I let it go. Then when I would put the younger one down for a nap, she would always cry and say she was afraid of her room and afraid of her bed. So I would usually sit there and try to soothe her as she went down for her nap, but it would take a long time. One day, this younger child was napping and I could hear talking on the baby monitor. It sounded like there was an adult male voice that was at a whisper, so I couldn't fully tell what it was saying, but it sounded like he was making a plan with this little girl to shoot someone because she kept saying she didn't want to do it.
Corinne
Oh, my gosh. Oh, I hate stories like this. Yeah, I hate when it's like something evil that's trying to encourage a child to do something terrible.
Sabrina
Fast forward about three days from then. I put the little girl down for her nap and she was extra upset about it. I was standing next to her bed and she said she didn't want a nap because of the monster. I said, it's okay, there are no monsters here. And she looked at me and said, yes, there are, and he's there. And I asked where? Suddenly my entire body went ice cold. And she says, right behind you.
Corinne
Okay.
Sabrina
I whipped around saying, in the name of God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, leave this room, you are not welcome here, etc. Because I don't know what I was doing, but I was like, maybe this will work if there's an evil spirit. And truly, within a few minutes, the room went back to a completely normal temperature and I was no longer cold, which, hey, that's off to you, Brooke.
Corinne
Yeah, that's incredible. Because we say set intentions, we say do all this stuff, but it doesn't always work like that. Sometimes it's just the very beginning step of trying to rid your home of something.
Sabrina
It worked for a few minutes.
Corinne
Oh, damn it.
Sabrina
I calmed her down, was able to get her to go to sleep, and I went back downstairs. So I had the monitor going just to listen out for her nap. And about 30 minutes after I had left her room, I heard one of the loudest sounds I have ever heard on a baby monitor. It was loud, but it was quick, like a 30 second sound. So loud it Terrified me. And I ran upstairs. I flung open the door, and I find the dresser had been slightly moved. All of the drawers were pulled out. All of the clothes and toys that had been in the dresser were thrown all over the floor. The closet was open, the. The window was open, and the fan was going at full speed.
Corinne
Okay. Tantrum.
Sabrina
Literally tantrum. I looked at the bed and this child was still sleeping. I grabbed her, I ran downstairs. She had no memory of it or didn't experience it or see it. I didn't want to seem crazy, so I just cleaned up the mess later that evening and never said anything to the parents because I was so afraid. These parents kind of gave me the creeps. I quit that job about a week later and never heard from them again. And like I previously mentioned, I've forgotten their names. I don't remember anything about who they really were or their names. And it's so weird because I do consider myself a name person. Like, someone says their name, I remember it. I still can't explain any of this, but I do really hope things improve for those girls and that they're thriving.
Corinne
But I don't know.
Sabrina
See you on the other side, Brooke. Also, what happened in Italy?
Corinne
What happened in Italy? Why is there, like, no memory of the identification of this family? What sort of sick ass spirit is attacking these kids?
Sabrina
And, like, the fact that both of her parents, Brooke's parents, met this family too. And it's not like Brooke was, like, 12 when she was baby dating the family. She's 17, 18.
Corinne
Oh, my God.
Sabrina
Yeah. So scary.
Corinne
And nannying is actually a very scary job, I feel.
Sabrina
And hearing a man talking to a child on a baby monitor, that's so scary.
Corinne
No, because then you're like, what's happening? I'm being surveilled by someone who could break it. Like, it just. It feels like, what's the. When a stranger calls, like, babysitter. Like, I'd be, like, jumping the kids lately, coming for us.
Sabrina
Huh?
Corinne
Okay, well, Scary Brooke.
Sabrina

Corinne
Great.
Sabrina
This is from Amanda. Hey besties. My name is Amanda. This is about my 600th time emailing you, but it's not my fault. Tell the ghosts to chill. So around the time of your New Orleans live Show Back in 2023, Sam and Colby came out with their series that took place at the Conjuring House.
Corinne
Yes.
Sabrina
Remember how weird it was? Like how many Conjuring House?
Corinne
It wasn't just them. It was like every person who'd ever touched the paranormal suddenly was Covering the conjuring house all at the same time. And we're like, that's so weird.
Sabrina
The house was, like, trying to get people to pay attention to it.
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
So weird. So when this came out and around your show, I would stay up after my daughter went to bed to watch every time a new episode came out. And as context. I've always heard knocks in my house. I've seen things passing in my hallways. But prior to this, nothing too crazy. A medium has told me that I'm sensitive, and it's probably just spirits passing through, passing by. But during this particular episode that I was watching, Cody and Satori did their method where they hold wrists and ask the spirits to knock while they do the Alphabet. My friends decided to try it in my living room with no luck. Then the last episode was coming out on Halloween day. The day before Halloween, I attended your show in New Orleans. Oh, this is. Apparently, she had tried to get meet and greet tickets, but couldn't find them. But we took a selfie with her at. At the show anyway. Oh, good. She says, thanks. It was so much fun. I loved getting to see y' all in person, and I didn't have anything happen to me during the show. I felt totally fine until I got home that night. The knocks that are usually pretty quiet got super loud that night. The day after Halloween, I watched that final episode of Sam and Colby's series, and I went to bed. In the middle of the night. I was woken up by a sound coming from my daughter's baby monitor. It was whistling. I checked to make sure she was still asleep, and she was. I moved the camera to check all around the room, see if a door was open, if any toys were going off, or if there was an intruder. But nothing. Nope. Just nothing in her room. Nothing was moving. Nothing was going off. My daughter was fast asleep, and this whistling just continued. I tried to ignore it, but it went on and on. The next day, I staged my whole house, and I haven't had any issues since. But my first thought was, since I was listening to so much info about the conjuring house, that maybe someone was trying to come by to visit. Was it a family member or just a random spirit? I have no clue.
Corinne
If she wasn't listening and consuming so much conjuring house material, I would have been like, oh, it might just be, like, a friendly ghost, but you. It's just. It's too much of a risk to not just.
Sabrina
Or was it like, because. Because Amanda was just consuming so much paranormal content that, like, a Protective spirit, a guardian or someone was like, I'm just gonna come be here more presently to protect you all.
Corinne
Because the whistling seems like unless it was whistling, kind of a spooky minor key tune.
Sabrina
Whistling does sound like an old grandfatherly thing to do.
Corinne
What makes me think of the spirit that moved with my parents once from one house to the next? Started in Guilford. He stayed back in Littleton, N.H. didn't want to be a Vermonter, I guess, when they moved again. But he was a whistling spirit. He'd whistle, turn on and off the lights, open and close the front door, flush the toilet in the middle of the night. Lots of whistling.
Sabrina
It could be like friendly, like the seven Dwarves type of whistling. But yeah, that's from Amanda. Whistling on the baby monitor.
Corinne
There's so many, so many things that could happen and it's hard cause it's like there's so much else going on, you just kind of like to write it off. And it's like we have a podcast. So we. Every time anything happens, we sleep, live, breathe, we can talk about it. But like, I think that there are probably things that would have happened to you and I too where we might not even tell people, depending on the situation.
Sabrina
Well, ever since my earthquake experience, I now, until I know for a fact it's the paranormal, I'm. Mum's the word.
Corinne
Do you remember my. When the mist from the humidifier was going off in my living room and I didn't remember that my humidifier was there and I just saw a plume of smoke, but I needed to go in there and I was so tired and so over it, I was just gonna fucking walk through this ghost. I don't even care. I walked through it and then I was like, oh, it was a humidifier. But I didn't know. I consciously was like, sorry, bud, I'm gonna bump into you. I gotta come in here too.
Sabrina
It is funny. I do feel like because of the nature of our work and how much we talk about the paranormal, you and I, while we believe most everything and we do find ways to like rationalize things, our first reaction is paranormal.
Corinne
It's the very first thought.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
And then there's an attempt at debunking.
Sabrina
I feel like we think paranormal, then we try to debunk.
Corinne
Yeah.
Sabrina
And then it's paranormal again.
Corinne
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, right, yeah. Order of operations, the intro and the conclusion. Paranormal body, paragraphs. Could this be something else? In the end, it's a ghost.
Sabrina
Should I read another?
Corinne
Yeah, this is fun. Let's Just keep going because there were
Sabrina
so many in our inbox about this. This is like a fun episode because it's like half Reddit creepy stories and then. No, the whole encounter, it's just like, what, encounters?
Corinne
Yeah, Okay.
Sabrina
I mean, they're all various encounters, so why not? Okay, this is from our listener Stacy, and it's called Want a Creepy Ghost Story? Or several. Hold my beer. Hey, Ghostesses, I've been binge listening to your podcast for two months now and absolutely love you guys. Ever since I was little, I grew up having ghostly things happen to me, and so listening to your podcast makes me feel normal. Anyway, this is sort of long, but I'm also not sorry for it because I think you will love it. I'm going to go over several things that I have encountered along with my sister and then years later with my dad daughter, who is very much a creepy kid. Okay, so we'll start with when. When Stacy was a creepy kid. When I was young, I always had a feeling I was watched. I would pull the covers over my head just in order to go to sleep each night. And I would always tell my parents that I heard footsteps at night just outside of my door, or that my closet doors would open and close on their own. After some time, my parents started getting worried about me, and my sister overheard them talking about taking me to see a therapist, which I love that imagery of, like, her sister being like, mom and dad are talking about taking you to a therapist. They think you're crazy.
Corinne
It's like, not true, but it's just like the sibling drama. Yeah, drama.
Sabrina
My sister overheard them, but that is when she finally spoke up and said that she also had been experiencing things as well. Thank goodness she did, because it finally gave me someone to talk to that believed me. My parents didn't believe me. They thought we were both making it up because they were skeptics. There were so many nights that I would then start crawling into bed with my sister because the footsteps wouldn't stop or that I couldn't get sleep because I really felt like someone was leaning over me. My sister always experienced her closet doors opening and shutting. And she also had one of Those old school TVs that had a knob that turned it on and off. And there were several times where she would leave her room. The TV was off, but when she would return to her room, the TV had been turned on. The only way it could have come on was if something or someone or who knows what it is, turned the knob. On another occasion, I used to have One of those touch lamps in my room and I woke up one night around 1am and it was turned on. I did not turn it on. I had not touched it. So how did it turn on? I didn't think much of it. Thought maybe it was an electrical issue. But then the next night it happened again and again. It was around 1am this continued happening for almost a week and my mom finally decided to give this touch lamp to my grandmother so I could be put at ease. And it never did this when it was with my grandmother.
Corinne
How weird.
Sabrina
I also had something similar happen to my wind up ballerina. One day it decided to start playing while nobody was in the room. My mom picked it up and tried to turn it off, but it took so long. Finally she turned it off. She put it back and walked out. The next day it started to play again. And this time, no matter what my mom did, it would not stop playing music.
Corinne
Dang.
Sabrina
She literally had to throw it away.
Corinne
Ooh. Did it stay thrown away or did
Sabrina
it make it romantic?
Corinne
Noticing 20 years later, playing its own music.
Sabrina
So an experience my sister and her boyfriend, who's now my brother in law, who's also a skeptic, had was probably one of the scarier things we encountered. She collected porcelain dolls, which I always thought were creepy. They all had plastic coverings over them. And so one night they were laying there on her bed watching tv and my brother in law looked up at one of the dolls. He goes, fawn, what is that? And my sister proceeded to look up at the doll and there was an evil face on the plastic overlaying the top of the doll's face.
Corinne
Excuse me?
Sabrina
She said you could see it perfectly. Clear eyes, nose, mouth and entire face. And it looked evil. They were horrified. Even my brother in law, who's the skeptic, jumped up and moved the plastic so the face disappeared. I will say my sister no longer has these dolls over the next couple of years.
Corinne
Wait, what brand of dolls? I need more information. I need to do research on these dolls.
Sabrina
They're porcelain dolls too, so.
Corinne
Oh, that's even worse.
Sabrina
Creepy. Creepy.
Corinne
Automatically creepy.
Sabrina
Yeah. Over the next couple of years, we still had things happen here and there. I was now a teen and my sister had moved out. We're seven years apart and one night I was up late chatting on aim. And I swear.
Corinne
Do you say aim?
Sabrina
Yeah, aim. I used to say aim.
Corinne
Really?
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
I think it must be a regional thing because I hear them both, but I always grew up with everyone calling it aim. It must be regional. Maybe.
Sabrina
I swore. While I was on my computer, I kept hearing my name being called. My mom was awake sitting in the living room, so I walked out to ask why she needed me. She looked at me funny and said, what? I didn't call your name. I swore I heard someone say my name, but she said she hadn't. So I returned back to the room and I continued chatting when all of a sudden my door slammed shut. Nope. I signed out and went right back to my room. It was truly so scary. But one of the scariest encounters I had was one night I was getting ready to go to sleep. I was laying on my back looking up at the ceiling. I just drifted off, when all of a sudden I felt three super fast taps on the bridge of my nose. My eyes opened wide. I leapt out of bed. I ran to my parents who were in the living room, and I asked, did either of you just come into my room and hit me on the nose? They both looked puzzled and said, no. I just shook my head and went back to my room. Because trying to explain to people that I was touched who are skeptics is hard to do well.
Corinne
And the tapping to it almost feels like one of the. Like an older person trying to reprimand a child in like a not so nice way. Like the pulling of the ears or like smacking them on the nose.
Sabrina
Like, yeah, well, I'm curious.
Corinne
Flicking them on the forehead.
Sabrina
It could also be a boop, boop, boop boop.
Corinne
Is it a nice boop, though?
Sabrina
I don't know. But like, and also like in your face.
Corinne
Like multiple boop boop is a boop. It's not a boom boom boom.
Sabrina
Yeah, it's not a triple boop. Okay, now it was my mom's turn to finally experience something odd. It's about damn time. She called my name one night and I walked into her room and she goes, stacey, I just had the weirdest thing happen and I cannot explain it. She had been blow drying her hair and had the ceiling fan on and she thought she had heard something over the sound of the blow dryer. So she turned it off, peered out of the bathroom into the room, and all of a sudden that ceiling fan that had been on medium speed just stopped. Not like, oh, slowly started to turn off. No, like abruptly stopped.
Corinne
Dang.
Sabrina
That was the night she started believing. There were times where she could feel coldness come over her and then quickly leave. There was one time she was standing at the sink in the kitchen and I walked in and the pantry doors had been Open. And she asked what I was up to. I told her I was hungry and trying to think of what to eat. And I said I will literally never forget my exact words to this day. I said, I think I'll have some Froot Loops. And I'm not kidding. When we both watch the box of Froot Loops fly out of the pantry and land on the floor. Which helpful.
Corinne
Wait. That they're working on their power.
Sabrina
Yeah.
Corinne
Let them continue to practice. Because what comes as just like throwing the box out of the pantry and getting to select the correct thing could one day turn into grabbing the bowl, pouring the cereal.
Sabrina
Matilda.
Corinne
Grabbing the milk. Yes.
Sabrina
Like you go be in your bedroom and be like, wow, I really want Froot Loops right now. Hey, ghost. And then all of a sudden, really
Corinne
tastes great right now. Is carrot cake from a very specific store that might be a ghost. Travel away.
Sabrina
Please bring me candy cakes.
Corinne
You stole it because you're a ghost.
Sabrina
It's Ghost Uber.
Corinne
Yes.
Sabrina
Or like Postmates.
Corinne
Uber eats for ghosts.
Sabrina
Okay. So my mom and I just stared at each other for what felt like a solid minute. Without saying another word to one another. I bent over, I picked up the box, and then just ate my cereal. Because, not gonna lie, I really did appreciate the help. I'm sure 411 and reaching that top shelf was always a chore, but this time I didn't have to do it.
Corinne
Yeah. How great is that?
Sabrina
Okay, fast forward a couple of years and my then boyfriend and I were laying in my bed while my mom was in the other room. And she had the light on. That had been the only light on in the entire house. So my room was pretty dark. And the light from the room my mom was in was just casting a little shadow in the hallway. My boyfriend had just gotten a brand new camera flip phone and we had been playing with the video feature. I was playing with the phone. I did a few swipes of my room and out in the hallway while I was recording. While we were watching the playback, I saw it. In the middle of the hallway, there was what looked like a girl. During the first swipe of the hallway, you could faintly make out the shape of the head. And the second swipe, it was closer to us. And this time you can make out that it was indeed a face at the top of what looked like shoulders.
Corinne
Dang.
Sabrina
When we did the third swipe through the hallway, she was even closer to us. Now, standing in my doorway, I could see her features plain as day. A little girl with medium length hair. You could see her eyes her nose, her lips, and the upper portion of her torso. I freaked out. After all these years and having all these experiences, I was finally able to capture something. We immediately drove to my sister's house and showed her what we recorded. It was the proof we needed to know that we were definitely not alone in that house for all those years. But now we jump ahead. I'm in my early 20s and I have a daughter. One night, in the middle of the night, one of her toys starts randomly going off. I walked out to see it sitting in the living room, but no longer going off. So I picked it up to inspect it, thinking maybe it was a battery issue. Seemed fine. I even shook it to try to see if it would go off again. But no, it was silent. So I put it back down with her other stack of toys and went back to bed. About 10 minutes later, started going off again. So again I get up, I go to look around, and this kept going on and off throughout the entire night until finally it stopped. Of course, her dad, who's also a skeptic, slept through the entire thing. On another occasion, my husband, my daughter and I had been sitting in the living room watching tv when all of a sudden we hear something through the monitor. One of her books started playing in her room. It was one of those read along books where there are music boxes on the side and when you come to a picture, you press that button and it makes a sound. My husband and I look at each other and shrug it off. But then when we hear another one of the music boxes from that same book playing. So I got up and I went to her room. This book had been sitting up against her bookcase. So it's not like it was being pressed accidentally or something was on it. So I put it back amongst the other books and we didn't hear it again. But this is when things really started picking up. One time I had been home alone in the house folding laundry while watching tv. I all of a sudden heard whistling. It was so very brief. I thought maybe I was just hearing things.
Corinne
More whistling, more whistling.
Sabrina
A few seconds go by and I hear it again. This time I put the TV on mute and I sit there and I listen and I heard it plain as day. There was whistling coming from my daughter's bedroom. I immediately got into the fetal position on the couch and called my husband. Of course he tried to give me all the rational explanations, but I knew what I heard and I knew, based on everything that I had grown up with, all the experiences I had, that something or Someone was there. So, yeah, I stayed there, fetal position on my couch until my husband got home over an hour later. The scariest thing that happened in that house was a night that my daughter was at her grandparents and my husband and I were laying in our bed watching tv. And I had the baby monitor still beside my bed, and it was on. The other monitor was in our daughter's room. And while we're watching tv, I heard this low growling sound. I looked at my husband and asked if he heard it. Of course he did not. So I ignored it and we continued watching our show. But all of a sudden I heard it again. So I grabbed the remote, I paused the tv, I put it on mute, and I said, listen, did you hear it? He said, nope. So we sat in silence for a little bit. My heart is racing. I knew what I had heard, and it was not a nice sound. Like it was a deep, guttural growl and it sounded menacing. I needed him to hear it too. After about a minute, I gave up. So I unmuted the tv and wouldn't you know, I hear it again. So I grabbed the remote, I muted the TV again, and I made us sit in silence a little bit longer. Sure enough, this deep, low growling noise comes out through the baby monitor. My eyes got wide and I looked at my husband and he immediately goes, turn it off. Turn it off. Turn it off now.
Corinne
See, because that doesn't feel like a hack. No, that is evil. Evil.
Sabrina
It was so evil sounding, we both refused to leave our bedroom for the rest of the night. The next morning, we went into our daughter's room and everything seemed fine. But this was the first time my husband couldn't explain what had happened. And we just have never talked about it since.
Corinne
Okay, well, I hope that you'd never talked about it since because everything is great and.
Sabrina
Nope.
Corinne
At peace.
Sabrina
Nope. Okay, there's more. My daughter went through a phase where she was having trouble sleeping and she was always waking up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. Night after night, she would come into our room to get me. Of course, she would never wake up her dad. Eye roll. And eventually I started just having her crawl into bed with us. Finally, I asked her one night, why are you waking up so much? She looked at me and said, because of the little girl. I didn't want to freak out in front of her because she never acted scared, but inside girls, I was screaming. I started asking her questions like, so who's this little girl and why is she waking you Up. And she told me that the little girl just keeps waking her up to play, but she doesn't know who the little girl is. I asked, is the little girl in the room right now? And my daughter said yes. When I asked where? She says, standing behind you.
Corinne
Oh, great. Yep. Lovely.
Sabrina
I wanted to shit my pants. This is not the stuff they tell you about in parenting books. So I was not prepared. I remained calm and I asked my daughter if she would feel better if I asked the little girl to let her sleep. She said yes. So I did. I kissed my daughter on the head and left the room. I don't think I slept that night, but my daughter did. I did some research the next day, and one of the suggestions was to go into the room, kindly ask the girl to stop. So that night, when nobody was around, I went into her room and I kindly told the little girl that she's more than welcome to play with my daughter's toys and her books, but pleased not to do it at night so that my daughter could get some sleep. I thanked her and I told her that we didn't mind that she was there. And my daughter literally never woke up in the middle of the night ever again.
Corinne
That's amazing, though.
Sabrina
I know, because that worked. Boundaries.
Corinne
Boundaries, recognition. I know you're here.
Sabrina
A few years later, there's a couple, two more experiences. We built a house that we're now living in. And my daughter was about five or six. One night, it was probably around midnight, we're all sleeping when I heard someone say mommy. So my eyes start to peek, open a little bit. The room is dark, minus the little nightlight we have in the hallway. And I was super groggy. Like, I woke up to this sound. So I was like half asleep, slowly opening my eyes, and I see the outline of my daughter. I'm still trying to wake up. I ask her what she needs, but she doesn't respond. So I ask again, groggily, like reaching out to her, I reach for her, and my hand literally went right through whoever was standing beside my bed. I have never woken up and become as alert as fast as I did in that moment. Not only had my hand swiped through whatever was there, but I did it twice before jolting up, I realized my daughter was not there. My daughter had not said mommy. My daughter was not standing beside my bed. And now nothing is there. I look around my room, knowing I was not dreaming. I was so unsettled. But slowly I laid back down and fell asleep. And then now, this is the last experience We've had, and hopefully I'm not jinxing myself. But one night I went into my daughter's room to kiss her goodnight. She wanted to keep reading her books, but I explained to her that she needed to get to bed because if not, she was going to be a grouch. The next day, as I was gathering her books and reiterating that she needed to go to sleep, she casually says, can you tell that to the boy who's coloring under my bed?
Corinne
Then coloring under the bed.
Sabrina
I put the books down, which makes
Corinne
me a little weary because coloring under the bed, making yourself a little fork. That's fine. Did she see the boy coloring under the bed or is she simply hearing scratching and knowing someone's under the bed?
Sabrina
It sounds like it's coloring.
Corinne
Yes.
Sabrina
Oh, chills. Stacy says. I put the books down quickly, turned to leave and said nope and walked out to get my husband. Because my ghostly child quota has been met and it is now his turn. So we.
Corinne
He needs to set the boundaries. Yeah.
Sabrina
We both checked her room, ensured her that nobody else was in there with her. But after all of my experiences, I knew that whoever she was talking about wasn't there physically, but was likely a ghost. I hope you enjoyed my stories. You guys are amazing. Keep up the awesome work. Thank you. Stay spooky. Stacy.
Corinne
Stacy.
Sabrina
Lots of haunted.
Corinne
This is like a boarding school for ghost children.
Sabrina
And it's just your life.
Corinne
Yes. At least your daughter reports back on what's going on.
Sabrina
Right.
Corinne
And like, you are aware of who and what is going on paranormally. If you ask, though, it doesn't seem like she just offers it up all the time. It's like, why is this happening?
Sabrina
The little girl who's standing beside you. Mom.
Corinne
No, it's because the little girl behind
Sabrina
you, your scenario of the like, scratching is like, that will stick with me.
Corinne
Well, because did she see the coloring or is she just hearing the sounds of scratching and assuming that some. Because that's what she associates the scratching noises with is the sound of coloring. I don't like it.
Sabrina
Me no likey. I mean, cameras and just monitors in general have the potential to be so creepy.
Corinne
Yeah. So please, if you have surveillance is good and bad. Yeah.
Sabrina
If you have videos, if you've experienced creepy things on your children's baby monitors, we want to hear it.
Corinne
Yes.
Sabrina
Email.
Corinne
Yeah. If you want to send us the video evidence, you totally can. If you don't want your kids potentially being on the Internet, just send us
Sabrina
a story that we don't need the video. We love the videos, we love the photos, but we can also just hear the story and be just as enthused and happy. We're easy to please. So email us.
Corinne
Good luck to all of you and hope your children are safe. Have you checked on the children lately?
Sabrina
Everyone opening their baby monitor apps being like what is it?
Corinne
Everyone's throwing away their crayon boxes right now too.

Hi, Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Are you looking for a beach read this summer? May I suggest your big wireless bill? It's got suspense, mystery, a slightly flat emotional arc, and a shocking twist where you realize you've been overpaying the entire time. Fortunately, though, Mint's story is better. Every plan $15 a month. Even unlimited. That's it. Happy ending, zero tears.
Sabrina
Give it a try@mintmobile.com Switch upfront payment of $45 for three months, $90 for six months, or $180 for a 12 month plan. Required $15 per month equivalent taxes and fees. Extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes. Me slow when it work is busy. See terms.
This episode dives into the chilling (and often hilarious) world of paranormal evidence caught on baby monitors. Perfectly timed to host Corinne’s due date, the girls investigate why baby monitors—devices meant to provide peace of mind—are such hotbeds for creepy, unexplained phenomena. Listeners share freaky stories, Sabrina and Corinne discuss viral cases and their own family encounters, and they break down how evolving technology is catching more than just cute naptime moments.
Corinne and Sabrina reaffirm that baby monitors are a double-edged sword: a powerful comfort for parents and an accidental tool for collecting paranormal evidence. If you’ve witnessed anything strange through a baby monitor, they encourage you to share—stories, photos, videos, or just your ghostly anxieties.
Corinne’s closing words:
“Good luck to all of you, and hope your children are safe. Have you checked on the children lately?” (62:59)
Stay Spooky!
