Corinne
Hello, we have a very special guest today.
Ryan Reynolds
Back again with us because we're just obsessed with her and so we were like, why not want to talk again? Be our friend.
Corinne
And I feel like last time we talked to Bridget and Holly, so we only got like some of their stories. But this time we spoke with Bridget, who has a podcast called Ghost Bunny, all about the paranormal. And my goodness, does she have so much, many stories.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah, it was really great to deep dive into a lot of her experiences and just talk about, like her history of exploring her lore. It's Bridget's lore and she finds a way to attract spirits no matter what she does and where she goes.
Corinne
We hope you enjoy. Very spooky. Hi, Bridget.
Bridget Marquardt
Hi, guys.
Corinne
We're so excited to be doing part two of our little collab that we're doing and talk more about your paranormal experiences.
Bridget Marquardt
Okay, you know what? I was just scrolling through the phone before you guys got on and have you seen, I'm sure you've seen it on Instagram. There's this lady who's, I don't know if it's even true or not, but this woman who passed away and she had these little tiny Ouija boards made for everybody that went to the funeral so they could talk to her after she died.
Corinne
That's brilliant.
Bridget Marquardt
It said something like keep in touch or something like that. Oh, my God.
Ryan Reynolds
Wait, that's brilliant Also just brilliant in and of itself to pre plan party favors for the guests of your funeral. The Attendees and Ouija boards.
Corinne
Wow.
Ryan Reynolds
We should all steal this idea.
Bridget Marquardt
It should be a standard funeral favor that everybody gets, right?
Ryan Reynolds
Forget songs. I don't need anyone to give me a eulogy or anything like that. Like, I need a seance.
Corinne
I'm obsessed with this.
Ryan Reynolds
Wow.
Corinne
Wait. Speaking of Ouija boards, I remember you had told us this, but now I'm. I'm gonna ask you to tell it again because I think it's such an amazing story. But you told us last time we talked that you saved up your money to buy a Ouija board when you were a kid.
Bridget Marquardt
Yes. It was like, my babysitting money. And I. The first thing I wanted to buy was a Ouija board. And I made my cousin, who was like. She's about two years younger than me, and my little brother. I don't think I made him play. He was just one of those pessy, you know, wanted to, like, stick around with him. So my cousin and I are playing. I was, like, 12, so we don't know anybody that has died at that point or very few people. And the only person that I knew was my great grandfather, and he had died recently. So we're like, okay, let's try and reach out to him. So we were talking, and supposedly we were connecting with him, but I kept saying, you're pushing it. And she was like, you're pushing it, and, like, getting arguments over it. And then we just decided we don't want to play anymore. This is dumb, because you're just moving it and, you know, whatever. And sometimes I tell this part of the story, and sometimes I don't, because I feel like it just goes into a bigger area. But my cousin had these, like, X marks in her leg, like, indents. Like, she had leaned up against something, three of them. And the. The board was not on her lap. Like, at first, I was like, well, maybe the board, like, pressed into her leg or whatever, but the board was flat on the floor between us, so we do not know where she got those, but she was freaking out because she felt like they were, like, the sign of the cross or.
Corinne
That is terrifying. Your poor cousin. You were like, I'm making you do.
Bridget Marquardt
No, she's still terrified to this day. I had the Winchester house to myself for two nights in a row. And I invited her and her sister and their mom and stuff, and my mom and everybody, like, a group of people to come and hang out with me. And she was like, I can't do this. I can't do this.
Ryan Reynolds
She's gonna stop hanging out with you.
Bridget Marquardt
She dropped them off, and she's like, I'll be at CVS and back at the hotel. Call me when you're ready, because I'm not there. She's, like, terrified to this day.
Corinne
Wow.
Ryan Reynolds
Did you bring a Ouija board with you to the Winchester Mystery House?
Bridget Marquardt
You don't have to, because they have one there for you. And there's a. There's a round table, and, like, it's not the seance room that Sarah used to use, but they have another seance room set up upstairs. And, like, they have a round table with, like, a chandelier and a Ouija board on it and stuff. So we were definitely filming with the Ouija board there.
Corinne
Did anything happen?
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah, we had some weird stuff happen. So there's the seance room. There's a room right next to it with, like, pictures of the, like, deceased photography, old deceased photography on the like. And. And they kind of have, like, a. I don't want to say a game with it, because that sounds rude, but, like, you know, which ones are the people deceased in these photos? You know?
Corinne
Right.
Bridget Marquardt
And just before we were about to move to that room, the light fixture fell out of the ceiling and onto the table in the middle. And they. So they were, like, not letting us go in that room right away, even though, like, we were ready to go. And I was like, wait, what's. I don't why we're not going in there. Like, what's the holdup? And then finally, they were like, okay, we're just gonna tell you. We don't know that it's paranormal or anything like that. But, like, the whole light, just, like. Just as we were gonna go in there. And then the other thing that happened is I was doing this, like, scene where I'm Bridget on the outside, and I'm interviewing people normal. And then I asked to come back in the, like, later at night and explore the house by myself at night. And they say I can, but then I have to meet somebody there. And so I go to the house at night, and this is sort of a gag that we're doing in the filming that we're doing. And I show up to the house, and nobody's there. And so I go up to the front door, and I open it, and it opens. And as I walk through the door, it's focusing on my feet, and it shows my tennis shoes turning into, like, old, like, Victorian boots. And I turn into, like, Sarah Winchester as I walk in the door. And then I'm, like, trapped in the House. And I look outside, and I see Bridget outside doing, like, interviews. Oh, my gosh. But I'm inside. But anyway, in order to get that scene, we had to do it multiple times because they have to get it from different angles and whatever, you know? Oh, and part of the scene, too, is the door shuts behind me, like, on its own. So we had a producer out there that was, like, taking the door and, like, shutting it behind me. And so I went to go walk out to redo the scene, and I go to grab the doorknob, and I open the door, and I only had it open, like, just a little bit, and something pulled it out of my hand and slammed it shut.
Corinne
What?
Bridget Marquardt
And I was like, oh, the. Oh, the producer must be standing there thinking, oh, the door came open. I got to keep it shut, you know? So then I open it again, and he's not there. He's still hiding around the corner waiting for, like, the scene to end.
Corinne
The ghost was, like, trying to help you out.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. I asked him, did you just shut the door? Like, did you just grab it? And he's like, no. Like, I didn't want to interrupt the scene. And then one other thing. It's not a thing, but it's something tells me it was a thing. Yeah, I was at the end of the hall. Have you guys been to the Winchester house?
Corinne
I have. I actually went on a Friday the 13th when they, like, rang the bell and everything. It was cool.
Bridget Marquardt
That's so fun. Okay, so, you know, there's this long corridor, and at the very end is the carriage house, and her carriage is actually still parked in there. The cameras are at one end, and they're like, okay, go all the way down the end of the hall. And it's all dark in there and stuff. Like, there's no lights on except for our camera lights and stuff. And when I have a little candle opera in my hand, and I'm wearing, like, a veil over my face, and I'm dressed in Victorian morning wear, and they're like, so go all the way to the end of the hall by the carriage, and then wait till we say action, you know? So I walk down there, and I'm standing down there by myself. I can see the camera people at the end of the hall, but, like, I'm by myself pretty far from them. And I swear I just felt like somebody was, like, next to me. Like, I could almost feel breath or movement or something from something next to me. Like, I just very much felt like, something's gonna whisper to me. Something's gonna whisper.
Corinne
Did you, like, pick up on any other type of energy with it? Was it pleasant? Was it curious?
Bridget Marquardt
Negative.
Corinne
What did it feel like?
Bridget Marquardt
It just felt like somebody was about to whisper in my ear and tell me something, which was unnerving.
Corinne
I can, like, feel it in my ear. Like, you know that feeling where one ear, specifically, is, like, listening more Earth.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. And it's where you kind of get that tingle on your side of your body where you're like, oh, my God, somebody's right next to me and about to whisper in my ear. And I want to go like this type of thing. It was just unnerving, but not because it was scary, because I don't think that there's anything, like, evil or demonic or anything like that at the Winchester house. I think that it's probably staff who loved that house and are still there. And maybe Sarah. I mean, when we filmed in her room, the second we, like, left or injured, we'd have to say, hello, Sarah, and good night, Sarah. That's, like, a role they have there. When you're filming late at night, you're the last ones to leave it. I mean, they do say that there is a caretaker who passed away who they still see, especially in the basement. And in the basement, we did this fun thing that I'd never done before. You know those little lollipops? They're called dumbbells. They're. They're kind of small.
Corinne
Oh, the. The dum dums, yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, dum dums, yeah. Well, they had those. And they hand them out to everybody in the basement. And you put them in the palm of your hand, and then you ask it to move the lollipop. So you have the round end, like, in the palm of your hand. The stick is sticking up. And for the most part, it sticks up pretty straight. Maybe some of them are a little lopsided and go to the side, but you can ask it to come and move your stick. And I literally saw people's sticks, like, bend all the way over and come.
Corinne
Back up and kind of, like dowsing rods.
Ryan Reynolds
But also, this is the coolest thing. And it's just like, I love a story that includes some sort of, like, scrappy form of communication where people are, like, finding tree bark and, like, marking it to create, like, their own Ouija board. And this feels like that. It's like, oh, you can still communicate with the dead, even if you just have a lollipop.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
No, really, like, it was. I thought it was just so cool.
Corinne
I feel like you have gone to so many places, especially now with Ghost Bunny. And you've done so many investigations, some of them which you teased us about when we were on your show. So we need to hear more. Where have you been? What are your favorite spots that you've investigated? And we'll start there.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, it's so hard to pick. And I. I forget. There's so many places. Like, I forget until somebody brings it up and I'm like, oh, I've been there. Oh, I've been. Yeah. I mean, my favorite and I probably already told you about it the last time is the Myrtles Plantation.
Corinne
Yes.
Bridget Marquardt
Well, you teased us, but you didn't.
Corinne
Tell us, like, what you experienced.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, okay. So I went there for my birthday. It's. It's been like a place that I've wanted to go for so long. Even back at the mansion, like, I was reading it, every book I could find on the Myrtles Plantation, watching every little, like, most haunted documentary on Travel Channel because that's all we had back then. And anything I could find on Myrtles. And I really, really, really wanted to stay there. And I never got to do. In fact, we were supposed to shoot an episode of Girls Next Door there. We were going to go for Mardi Gras and I was going to do my Mardi Gras show there, but I wanted to go to Myrtles because, of course. And they. It was all set in stone and the last second it got pulled. That was a bummer. So flash forward to years later, I don't know, maybe eight years ago now. So I really need to go back. We do it for my birthday. We're going to New Orleans, Nick and I, and we. I'm like, we have to go stay at the Myrtles Plantation. So we rent a car, drive out to the Myrtles Plantation, and we get the room in the house because there's, like, newer cottages that you can also rent that are on the property. But we wanted to stay in the main house.
Corinne
Yeah, of course.
Bridget Marquardt
So our room just so happens to be like this amazing room that also has a giant sitting area out front. The main staircase in the, like, entryway, and then the, the big haunted mirror and the piano and the entryway doors are all part of our room. Like, and nobody else gets to go in there after, after tours. During business hours, they still do tours through everything, but like once, like at 6 o' clock or whatever, when the tours are over, they lock those doors and we're the only ones with the key to it. That's except for the Managers that are off property. Yeah. And they ask you not to let other people in the area, which is kind of a bummer. So. But you have it all to yourself. So it's kind of good in one way, but kind of sad in another way, you know? So anyway, we get out all the equipment, and Nick is not really a big believer, but he's a good sport. So I give him, like, a K2 meter, and I'm like, go check out the mirror. I'm gonna sit on the 17th step because supposedly this man was shot at the front door and he made it to the 17th step and died in his wife's arm. Arms there. So I'm like, I'm gonna sit on the 17th step and with my recorder and see if I can get, like, any EVPs or whatever. And so we're sitting there doing that and we're getting nothing. I mean, to the point where I thought maybe all my batteries dead. Did he even turn this stuff on? Because you know how the K2 meter, it. It usually just sort of like, moves a little bit, like, go from green to darker green, at least just to let you know that it's working. It was doing nothing. I mean, nothing. Green wasn't even lighting up. Like, I'm like, there's something's wrong here. So we were getting nothing. So, like, around, I don't know, one in the morning or something like that, I'm like, calling it. I'm like, that's so disappointing. I mean, I know, and I talk about on my podcast that just because a place might be the most haunted place in the world, just because you're there one night doesn't mean you're gonna get an experience. Like, they don't act on command. And, like, exactly. It doesn't mean it's not haunted, you know, but it is still disappointing.
Corinne
And it's also interesting because the lack of anything working is also weird. Just based on, like, electricity and, like, different temperature shifts that just happen naturally, which almost feels paranormal in itself because it's like, are the ghosts, like, making it a literal dead zone?
Bridget Marquardt
Well, it could be because about what's about to happen. So I also. That night, I was getting a migraine, and I have a medication that, like, wipes it out. So I took the migraine medication and it didn't work. So I took a second one and it still didn't work. And so by one in the morning, when we're not getting anything and my head is killing me, I'm just like, okay, we're going to Bed. Like, that's it.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
So we go to bed, and then, like around three something, we're awakened by an electronic noise in our room. And we both sit up straight in the bed. We're like, what was that? And we can't figure out what it is. There's no electronics in the room, by the way. There's no TVs. There's no. Because they're, you know, historic place. And the K2 meter that he was using was sitting on his nightstand. And it was lighting up to, like, red and then going back to green, Red, green, red, like. And he's like, oh, was your K2 meter making that noise? But my K2 meter doesn't make a noise. So I was like, it's not the K2 meter. And then the. The pressure in the room felt so, so, so heavy. God, I forgot one thing to tell you guys. I couldn't go to sleep at first. This is before anything started happening. And I was trying to go to sleep, trying to go to sleep. My head's just killing me. And I. I was just trying to concentrate on. I think it was the frogs out in the pond outside. I was concentrating on those frogs, just listening to them chirping away. And all of a sudden they just saw stopped and everything went silent. Oh, everything went silent.
Ryan Reynolds
Just like a void.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. I remember thinking, oh, that's weird. Like, I wonder what time it is. Like, what makes them stop? Like, is the sun starting to come up? Like, I didn't even know what time it is. And then we hear that electronic thing in our room. And we both sit up and we're like, what was that? And then we hear boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Up the stairs. We're the only ones with keys to this room. And I was like, oh, my God. And I open up the door and there's nobody there. And I shut it and we're like, oh, my God. You heard that, right? He's like, yeah, of course I heard that. And then we're sitting there just like, holy. And I. I asked him to look at what time it was. And it was like. It was like, I don't know, 3:17 or something weird like that, you know? And I'm like, oh, my God. The last thing I want to do is get up and start investigating right now because I'm in, like, that, like, half right away, half asleep thing. My head is killing me. And like, now I'm scared.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
And then we hear, like, furniture moving above us. But we're on the top Floor. And we hear, like, kids running around and, like, playing and stuff. And we're like, oh, my God, what's happening right now? And he's like, they have to be setting this up, right? They have to be doing this. There's no way. There's this much going on. They are doing this. And I'm like, they're not doing that. How are they doing that? Like, the noise above us. You could. I don't know how to describe it other than you could. It's not just a noise. You could feel the vibration of it, too, a little bit.
Ryan Reynolds
Oh.
Bridget Marquardt
And I'm like, there's no way. Like, how are they making that up? How are they making up the pounding on the stairs? And nobody's there, right? Like, it's coming from all directions and stuff. The heaviness. Like, every muscle in my body felt tense. Like, I just felt like I was like this the whole time. And we're laying in bed, like, holding on to each other, and we're trying to, like, pretend nothing's happening. And then every time we hear something, he's like, did you hear that? I heard it. And then, like, a few minutes later, I'd be like, oh, my God, did you just hear that? Terrified in bed. And I have to pee so bad. But ain't no way I'm going to the bathroom, which is, like, way. It's in our room, but our room is laid out to where it's a pretty big room. And then there's like this, like, kind of walk. Step down into, like, this creepy dark hallway that then goes into the bathroom. No way am I going to the bathroom by myself right now. Because I'm going. I just knew if I even opened my eyes that something was standing there. I was confident of it.
Corinne
Oh, my God.
Bridget Marquardt
And this went on and on and on, which felt like forever. And I thought, we're never gonna see. Go to sleep tonight. This is not gonna stop. And my body was starting to hurt for just being so tensed up. And then all of a sudden, it just stopped. The whole atmosphere changed. Everything just felt like it lightened up. My whole body just relaxed.
Corinne
I'm so serious.
Ryan Reynolds
Was it 4am because we talked about 4am I think that.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. So I had him look at what time. I was like, oh, my God, it's over. What time is it? And he looked at the. His phone and he's like, it's. I forget, 4:13 or something random like that. And I was like, oh, my God, it's over. It's over.
Corinne
I'm also just so curious, like, why that block of time is that special? Or is it important in the history of the house? Like, did something happen then? Or is it just when they have the most energy?
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah, I don't know. Like, I know that they have like, the witching hour and then like the devil's hour and stuff like that. And it's changed. Like, it used to be midnight and then it was like 3am and stuff. And I don't know. I don't know all the differences and like, what times are, like, certain portals or things like that. But I know that they. Some people think they have some significance.
Ryan Reynolds
I just feel like this was meant to be for you, that it was supposed to fall through your radio show. Because think about how different your experience might be had you gone with that team with, like, producers and film cameras and all of that. Like, you got such a rich experience riddled with ghosts. This was incredible.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. Oh, and then the next morning, they do, like, biscuits in the gift shop. So we don't want to miss that for breakfast. But it's at like, 7 in the morning, so we hadn't slept all night. But we're like. We're getting up and going down there for that. We did. And we get in there and the people that are working the biscuits section and stuff, they're like, oh, how was your night? What room were you guys in? And I told them what room we're in, and they're like, oh, and you guys made it through the night? And we're like, wait, do people. Not usually. And he's like, the last two people to stay in there have left in the middle of the night.
Corinne
That makes me want to go stay in this room specifically so badly.
Bridget Marquardt
Right. And then there was a table of, like, older people sitting there, and they were like, is it you guys making all that noise last night? And we're like, it wasn't us.
Corinne
So everyone was hearing it?
Bridget Marquardt
Yes.
Ryan Reynolds
That's interesting that everyone heard noises. But it sounds like whatever happens in this specific room that you were in is far worse than what other people experience, because otherwise you would think, like, everyone would be running for the hills. Right. Like, if they're all hearing noises in the middle of the night.
Bridget Marquardt
Well, I think different rooms have different types of activity that go on. I would love to go back. I would love to go back and see what happens.
Corinne
So does Nick believe after this?
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah, he always tells me, stop telling people. I don't believe because he's had a couple of experiences now, and it's not that he doesn't believe. He just is very, very skeptical about, like, things that, you know, I'm like, oh, look, this is going off. Or they said this or whatever. And he'll be like, I don't know about that. Which is good. It's good. But, like, his very first experience, we were at the Stanley Hotel, and they were giving us a. This was a long time ago. I heard they don't embrace the people paranormal right now, but they used to, big time. And they were giving me a kind of like a private paranormal tour. And we were one of the first people to go into the carriage house. They had just opened it, like, I think, like that weekend or something. And they took us up to the, like, attic area of the carriage house, and we're on, like, a kind of a plank walkway. And you can't really walk on either side of it for whatever reason. I don't know if you're gonna fall through or there just wasn't safety measures for it or whatever. But, like, we were walking single file on this flank. The guide was in front. I was in the middle, and Nick was behind me. And it was only us. And something pulled his hair. And he was like, something just pull my hair. And he, like, looked behind him. Nobody's there. And then that was like his. His first. Like, he was like, there's no way that could have happened. Like, somebody pulled my hair.
Ryan Reynolds
Oh. And he got touched for the experience that changed him. That's. That has to. That's, like, kind of extreme.
Corinne
Touched by a ghost.
Ryan Reynolds
Touched by a ghost.
Corinne
Hey, you. Yeah, you. Whoever's listening.
Ryan Reynolds
Oh, I thought you were talking to me.
Corinne
And you. I saw you.
Ryan Reynolds

Corinne
Have you ever been touched by a ghost?
Bridget Marquardt
Yes, I've had a couple of them. One of them was at Holly's house, so it's actually her ex husband's house now, but they have this beautiful house in Vegas and the guest house is haunted. And she kept telling us, well the whole house is haunted. But the guest house was especially haunted and people didn't like staying in there and worker people that were like fixing it up and stuff were like I'm out of here, like that place is haunted. And she said everyone has experience in there, you should bring your ghost hunting equipment one day and do a little investigation. So my friend and I drove to Vegas and we met up with Holly, went to her house and she had asked a psychic to come and also like come and hang out with us and do the investigation with us. And at the last minute she had to cancel for whatever reason. And so when we got there we were like, well let's just do the ghost hunt first, now that we don't have to wait for somebody, and then go to dinner after instead of the opposite way. And so we go in there and I'm like, kind of like just doing like a general read around the room with my K2 meter and, like, just my spidey senses and stuff, you know, just what I feel. And then I'm like, I think we should go into this one. It has two bedrooms in the guest house. I'm like, let's just go in this one room. I'm feeling the most here. I'm getting some spikes on K2 meter. Like, I just feel like this room might be a good place to start. So we all plop down on the floor and we're sitting there and I'm asking questions. I'm like, oh, if there's anybody here, can you make a tap or something? And we hear like a click. And we're all like, but I know I'm not convinced that that's paranormal. So I'm like, can you do it again? And we hear a click again. But I'm still thinking that it could be something in the little kitchen area that's making this noise. And it just so happens to be timing out right when I ask. So I ask again and we hear it again. And so Holly and. And our friend Ashley are looking at each other going, oh, my God. Oh my God. But I'm like, I don't know. I don't. Maybe. Maybe because it is, you know, three times now. But I'm not convinced. I'm like, if there's somebody here, will you tap me? And all of a sudden I felt like a poke in my shoulder blade, my right shoulder blade. I was like, you guys, something just poked me. And they're like, no. Oh my God. And we're like, freaking out. And then the ghost hunt ends shortly after that, and we are driving to dinner. And as we're driving to dinner, Holly's phone rings in the car. It's like, you know, hooked up to the car and everything. And she answers it and it's the psychic. And she was like, hey, by any chance, did you guys already do the investigation? Because again, we weren't supposed to do it until like 9 o' clock that night. Instead we did it at like 6 o' clock or something. She's like, by any chance, did you guys already do that investigation at your house? And Holly's like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, we just did it. We decided to do it before dinner and stuff. And she Was like, oh, okay. Because I have the little girl that is haunting your guest house sitting in front of me right now. And she wanted me to say that she poked one of you in the back. And we all started screaming in the car.
Ryan Reynolds
Oh, my God. I am covered in chills right now.
Corinne
Who is this psychic? Because that, like, that story verifies and validates for me her ability.
Bridget Marquardt
Right. I'll have to ask Holly, because Holly goes to a few different psychics, so I'll have to ask her which one that was. I love it when you get like. Because forever I would have been like, I don't know. Like, maybe I was just imagining that, or maybe, like, I don't. Maybe my bra strap was twisted and, like, flipped around or. So, you know, I try and think of any possibility, you know, but I'm like, oh, my God. That was just. That was the confirmation I needed. 100%.
Corinne
Right. There's in my mind. There's no doubt. Like, I believed it already. But then having the psychic call, wow.
Ryan Reynolds
Oh, my gosh. And now, you know, who poked you, too. Like, it's not just, oh, a spirit poked you. It's a little girl. You know exactly who it is.
Corinne
Wow.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. And we had heard that there was a little girl. I think the psychic had said she's from, like, the pioneer days. Wherever Holly's house was, was near like, a. You know, you're in Vegas, so it's a desert, but there was a spring, a natural spring nearby. And so when they were, you know, the wagon days and stuff going by, this would be a stop for a lot of people. And they think that she died during one of those stops.
Corinne
Oh, wow.
Bridget Marquardt
And is probably buried somewhere. Well, at least died near the property, but possibly even buried near the property somewhere or on the property somewhere, like, unmarked type thing.
Corinne
Yeah. I mean, it sounds like not a terrible place to have been haunting as a ghost.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. Right.
Ryan Reynolds
Especially if you, like. I feel like that would be a pretty sweet place to haunt or live. Because to see all of you guys doing your investigation, like, I would. I would love to eavesdrop on.
Corinne
Sounds fun.
Ryan Reynolds
You guys hanging out.
Bridget Marquardt
Right.
Ryan Reynolds
Like, that's a great time. She picked good. A good spot.
Bridget Marquardt
Another time that I was touched is Holly and I were doing a. A pilot for a paranormal show, which didn't get picked up, but we were in the basement of the murder house from American Horror Story. It's the Rosenheim mansion. Yeah. And that's where we were doing our pilot show and investigation. And we had a psychic medium with Us, Holly and myself. And then, of course, camera crews and stuff. And we were sitting in the basement on the floor, and I was like, I feel like there's something behind me. And Holly had, like, the SLS camera, and she turned it towards me, and the second she turned it towards me, the whole thing just powered down. Like, so we. It lost all its battery, and it was just. It had just been fully charged.
Sabrina
Oh, my God.
Ryan Reynolds
Were you shitting yourself?
Bridget Marquardt
Not yet, but I was like, okay, well, that's weird. And then I had my hand out. I'm trying to remember exactly how this happened. I said, if there's somebody here with us, will you touch my hand? And all of a sudden, I got this jolt through my finger. Like, electric jolt in my. Like a zap. Like I touched something electric or something like. Or, like when, you know you have too much static in your bedding or whatever, you feel that zap on your finger. And I was like, oh, my God, something just zapped my finger.
Corinne
It's so wild because every time Corinne and I have done a paranormal investigation, I've asked and, like, said out loud to the spirits, like, I'm open to being touched. Like, you can touch me. And I've never been touched. But twice now you've said if there's a spirit, you can, like, tap me or touch me. And they do. That's amazing.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. But I will say I've been on a million investigations, and I asked for it a lot, and it usually does not come in. So I'm giving you the good stories of when it did.
Ryan Reynolds
It's interesting, too, that, like, the two times that you were touched, that it felt so different. Right. Like, one felt like a physical person poking you, and then the other one was just this, like, shot of electricity. It is really interesting how it can kind of manifest and feel different, even though the act might be the same from the spirit, like, attempting to make contact.
Corinne
So fascinating. Where have you most recently investigated?
Bridget Marquardt
Actually, just this past weekend, I was at Bethany's Haunted Suite. Suite. It's a haunted Airbnb in Jackson, California. It's like the Gold Rush old mining town. I just had her on my podcast a few weeks ago, and she was like, oh, next time you're in town, you have to come and stay at the Airbnb. So it just happened to be my grandma's 106 birthday.
Corinne
Happy birthday.
Bridget Marquardt
Crazy, right? So I went home for that, and my brother came from Michigan, too, and I let Elsie know that I was coming into town, and I would love to go and stay there. So I went, my whole family, my stepdad, my mom, my brother, and Elsie was there, too, and we were investigating her house. And we. She also took me around, like, Jackson, and to some of the businesses who also have had experiences and that she's friends with. And they told me all their stories. And the National Hotel, which is the historic hotel right. In Jackson, the general manager, like, gave me a tour of the rooms and was telling me some of the stories there. And they're gonna do my podcast coming up. So it was a really. It was a really amazing experience, but as far as something happening, it was a little quiet, I would say. Although they did say my name on the recording. Like, we were doing an evp. We were in the National Hotel, and we were in the card room, which is where John Wayne used to play cards. It's down in the basement off the bar. And we were doing an EVP session in there really quick. We didn't really have permission. Well, I don't think they cared, but we didn't have permission, really, so. But we were. So we were trying to be kind of sneaky, and we were in there doing it, and it said my name. And when people say they hear it, I've always been like, is it, though? Like, I have my. I guess I can hear how you could hear that, but I don't know if it's. If it is or not. But this one, I was like. Like a second it happened. It was so clear, and it was clearly my name, and my name's. My name's not weird. But it's definitely not that common where it's not like, oh, Joe is here, you know, or something.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah. Yeah.
Corinne
EVPs are so hard, and I feel like in the moment especially, they're really hard to hear. And then afterwards, when you, like, listen back, so many things you didn't hear in the moment come through.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah. Have you ever done the Estes method?
Bridget Marquardt
Did I do it where you, like.
Ryan Reynolds
You put the headphones on and it goes through?
Bridget Marquardt
Like, I've been. No, no, I know what it is. I've been involved in the investigations and, like, asking the questions, but I haven't worn the. The blindfold and put the earphones on because I am terrible at hearing stuff.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
I'm the worst.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
People hear all kinds of stuff, and I'm like, they did. They said that. What?
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
Really?
Ryan Reynolds
That's. Again, we feel too, like we've both tried it a couple times, and it's so hard to decipher.
Corinne
Yeah.
Ryan Reynolds
What's Happening. But you know who's really good at it, who's a friend of all of ours is Ash.
Corinne
She's so good at it.
Ryan Reynolds
She's so good. And even, like, not using the Estes, just hearing anything coming, like, she's. It's so clear. She'll be like, oh, my gosh, they just said this. And we're like, what? And then you play it back and it's so clearly that word. Somehow she's got ears for ghosts. So interesting.
Bridget Marquardt
That's a good person to have around that.
Ryan Reynolds
When we do our investigation, all of.
Corinne
Us together, well, we all have our own special skills. Ash will be Esther's method. Bridget, you will be the touch. Touch. Touch me for the ghost. I don't know what we have to offer.
Ryan Reynolds
We'll figure it out on the fly.
Bridget Marquardt
Well, that's good. That's good to know. Yeah. I'm bad. And I. And then I hate when people. I don't hate it. Like, I don't, like, hate on them when they tell me what it is, but I just hate it because I feel like, oh, now that's all I'm gonna hear.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
And, like, when they show it on TV shows and they put down on the bottom what they heard, I'm like, well, now how am I supposed to judge for myself what I thought it was?
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
Like, what if I heard something totally different? How did you hear that? I don't know.
Corinne
Right.
Ryan Reynolds
That is tough. I'm curious. Okay. So I feel like you've had so many amazing opportunities just, like, within television and travel and everything like that. But there's one show I used to watch of yours. It was. Was it Bridget's Sexiest Beaches? Is that what it was called?
Bridget Marquardt
Yes.
Ryan Reynolds
Okay. So obviously that wasn't a paranormal show, but I'm curious if on shows like that, if you've still. Because you're so open, and it seems like you also just, like, feel the vibe of places that other people might not peg as haunted. On shows like that, did you also find yourself still investigating the paranormal or interacting with the paranormal?
Bridget Marquardt
I purposely incorporated paranormal in it as much as I could. Like, when we were doing Key west, like, we went and saw Robert the Doll, so I got to meet Robert the Doll for the first time. And in Hawaii, we did, like, this whole paranormal type thing where they were talking to. Talking to me about the gods and the goddesses, and they took me on this paranormal hike, and they were telling me about the soldiers that marched through at night and, like, all their beliefs and stuff and this rock formation that they believe has like a. A skull face in it and like, all kinds of things they were showing me on that. And then like, it's not so much paranormal, but, like, we incorporated pirate type stuff and, like, going out to where they think, like the pirate booty was, was like rock island. And so I try to incorporate, like, as much of that type of stuff as I could onto the show. Yeah. Because it is such, like, a passion of mine. Yeah.
Corinne
Because it's like any place can be haunted.
Ryan Reynolds
And also, like, if you love the paranormal, we always try to find ways to bring it up. Right. Like, I feel like I'm a great conversationalist at weddings because somehow I just end up with a group of people around me telling ghost stories.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah.
Ryan Reynolds
Which is not like a normal setting for it, but, you know, people are drinking and then suddenly they're admitting to their ghost stories and I'm writing them down in the notes app on my phone so I can tell it on the podcast.
Bridget Marquardt
I love that.
Ryan Reynolds
If you created a paranormal investigation group, who would your dream people be to be part of your ghost hunting group?
Corinne
Aside from us, obviously.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah, obviously. Yeah. It's hard. I prefer going into a place not to do, like a hardcore investigation. I like to go into a place just to get an experience. And so I don't necessarily need, like, a specific group of people with me that bring different things to the table. I think it's kind of nice having a psychic medium with us because they can tap into things that maybe, you know, I'm not catching on to or just get more information out of stuff, but one person or a couple of people who have a love for it too, or are super open minded to having an experience. Because I think if you have people with you that aren't open minded to it or don't want to have an experience or are scared of it or whatever, that it will jeopardize the experience you have too.
Corinne
I also feel like there's some level of, like, intimacy and trust required for paranormal investigations. Like, because Corinne and I always go about it with, like, utmost respect. And I feel like we, we all kind of agreed on this when we talked on your show. But, like, we're not trying to make them perform. We're generally just.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah, ghost hunting is such, like, a negative word. Yeah. It's not the right term to use because we're not like, hunting anyone down and forcing them into something.
Corinne
It's like an exploration and an inquiry of, like, what do you have to share with us? What do you want to tell us?
Ryan Reynolds
Like, you were saying, just each other for a potential experience.
Corinne
Yeah, but, like, you don't always know how other people feel going into an investigation. Like, are they gonna go in being like, I want demons to come through, or are they willing to be respectful?
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah, you have to be careful of the energy. But I also like going. I mean, this sort of is contradictory, but I also like going with new people who have not done it before. Like, I really like introducing people to it at the same time.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
But again, like, I don't just take any random, like, oh, off the street and be like, you gotta come with me. Like, it's people that I've talked to about it before and are showing a curiosity. I'm like, come with me. Let's go do it.
Corinne
So where else do you want to go aside from everywhere? But, like, what's on your top of your list?
Bridget Marquardt
My bucket list is so long, and every time I do my show, I'm like, oh, I'm adding that to my list. Waverly is one of the top places because I really want to see the. The creeper, the Crawler. I mean, so many people have said that. I got a virtual tour on my old podcast with them. They, like, did a whole. They put me on, like, FaceTime, and we did a whole tour through the place. That's fun, but I feel like I just need to go there and experience it myself. Oh, Trans Allegheny is also high on my list. I just pulled out my notes. Yes, the Crescent Hotel.
Corinne
I would love to go to the Crescent Hotel.
Ryan Reynolds
I also have one suggestion for you too, and this is also a suggestion to Sabrina, because I've told you about it. We've covered it on the podcast, but I'm the only one out of the two of us who've gone. Have you in Charleston, South Carolina? Have you gone to the old Charleston Jail?
Bridget Marquardt
No, I've never been to Charleston, South Carolina. I've never been to South Carolina.
Corinne
Charleston's actually beautiful. It's beautiful and charming.
Ryan Reynolds
It's very rich in ghost stories and whatnot. But the old Charleston.
Corinne
Very wealthy town.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah, it's this, like, old dilapidated jail that they do ghost tours in. And it has just, like, really tragic history. But it reminds me, like, it's. It feels almost like a mini Waverly Hills because we were getting activity constantly throughout the whole thing. Shadow figures darting. Like, people brush. Like, feeling other people brush up against you, and you're, like, alone in here. You hear the old keys, like, down the hall jangling from. Yeah, the old Jail cells. There was. You were talking about lollipops, but like there was a wire that was just like disconnected coming out of the ceiling. And it started like it was like basically being like a yes, no, call and response.
Corinne
Oh yeah.
Ryan Reynolds
I would add that to your list because I feel maybe I was very lucky. But I do feel like, you know, I just signed up to go on the regular ghost tour to mostly learn about the history and just be in this old cool place. And ended up getting so much paranormal activity around me. And the group that I was with in like the 60 minute tour, whatever.
Corinne
It was, I walked past it when we were in Charleston last two years ago now. And I walked past it in broad daylight, but it looked like the lighting changed surrounding that building. It was like as if I was looking at the building during nighttime. And even though I was in daytime.
Ryan Reynolds
There is a weirdness to it. But it's worth a visit.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah. Have you guys been to Villisca?
Corinne
No, no. Have you?
Bridget Marquardt
No, but it's on my list. I'm just going through my list here. There's so many, so many. I mean, there's so many that I have done too though, so that's good.
Corinne
What else have you done?
Bridget Marquardt
So I talked about the Stanley Mansfield Reformatory. You know, they were so amazing there. You guys know Ohio State Reformatory, right? Or Mansfield and where they shot Shawshank Redemption. So a lot of people just call it the Shawshank Prison. But they waited up for me because I was there doing a Halloween convention. And they waited up for me until like 12:30 at night. Till I was done with all of the things that had I had to do with that. It was a PR person, a tour guide that, that a ghost hunting tour guide and then a security guard. And that was it. And it was Nick and I and they gave us a tour through the whole place. It was so incredible. I didn't have like an experience, but it was just an amazing time to be there and just like have it come to ourselves.
Corinne
You're making me want to go paranormal investigate right now so badly. I know, like so badly.
Ryan Reynolds
But like not even plan. Just be like, hey, can you let me in at one o' clock in the morning? Can you give me a tour? We'll just see what happens.
Bridget Marquardt
Eastern State Penitentiary So I used to have a show on Yahoo a long time ago. I don't know if you call it a show, but because it was on just like Yahoo. Online. But once a week I would do an animal show. It was called Animal Nation. It was like this cute story about animals of some sort. And we were, we were all over the place with these stories. But then they asked me if I want to do like a six part Halloween special for them. I was like, yes, yeah, absolutely. And so we did different things, but they hooked me up to do Eastern State Penitentiary. And so we went there and they, I got the full tour and they were like, amazing there. I got locked into Al Capone cell. It was just so incredible. And now I heard they're not embracing the paranormal anymore.
Ryan Reynolds
How can you not, like, why does that happen? It's. You already have the reputation. You can't get rid of the reputation. So just lean into it like that's that. And people love it. I'm mad.
Corinne
I'm mad too.
Bridget Marquardt
And I don't know if it's true. I don't know if it's 100% true, but that's. I just, somebody just told me that on my podcast not too long ago. They're like, oh, yeah, they're not really, like, they're not doing that kind of stuff anymore there. And it's usually due to new managers.
Corinne
Right. Well, they'll, they'll realize quickly they have to lean back in.
Ryan Reynolds
I feel like we should just create a management business now to reacquire all of the haunted places that have been stripped of their haunted titles.
Corinne
There's a hotel that we covered in Denver, Colorado, and I can't remember what it's called, but their website like had like two whole pages about the haunted history. And so I called the hotel, I was like, let's just like call and see if they can tell me any ghost stories. And the woman who picked up was so short with me and like, was like, it's not haunted as far as we know. And I'm like, it literally says on your website, like, there's all this ghost history. As of like two months ago, all of that has been taken off of the website. And like, it's a lot harder to find now.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, and you don't remember what hotel? Because I did a ghost tour and started at a hotel for my last podcast and it was called like the Oxford or the Start with an O.
Ryan Reynolds
We stayed at the Brown Palace.
Corinne
Oh, Brown Palace. Okay.
Bridget Marquardt
That one's supposed to be haunted too. I haven't stayed there though.
Ryan Reynolds
Okay. We both had a really weird haunting there that like, maybe it was a haunting, maybe it wasn't. We both, we were staying there on tour. We both, the same night, had a very similar dream about like a Monstrous penis, which is so weird and very out of character for us to be dreaming about this, but we were both dreaming about this, like, really scary penis.
Bridget Marquardt
Wait, you guys get a penis in a photo? Now you're dreaming a penis.
Ryan Reynolds
I know. And they were years apart, too. So weird. It was very weird. It was very weird. We swear we're not that dick centric.
Bridget Marquardt
Have you guys done Virginia City at all?
Ryan Reynolds
No, no.
Bridget Marquardt
It's in Nevada and it's an old mining town, but it's like the whole town is haunted. The entire town. And it's a great place to go investigating. It's a great place for like, a newbie or a beginner because you're almost guaranteed to have something happen because literally the whole town.
Corinne
You're making our list so much longer now.
Ryan Reynolds
I know. Yeah, I definitely want to go to one of those old ghost towns. I feel like that's. They need to do just like an old Western.
Corinne
We need to develop a Goodreads, but for haunted places. And so, like, people can review the haunted places that they've been to and do like a. Where I want to visit.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah. It'll be a very niche app for just a specific group of people. But we would use it.
Corinne
I would use it all the time.
Bridget Marquardt
I would, too. On WhatsApp, no one can see or.
Sabrina
Hear your personal messages.
Ryan Reynolds
Whether it's a voice call message or.
Bridget Marquardt
Sending a password to WhatsApp, it's all just this. So whether you're sharing the streaming password.
Sabrina
In the family chat or trading those.
Bridget Marquardt
Late night voice messages that could basically.
Sabrina

Bridget Marquardt
MasterCard is accepted. Venmo purchase restrictions apply.
Corinne
Bridget, we have a little game for you.
Bridget Marquardt
Yes.
Corinne
And this is going to help you maybe decide on some other places to visit and investigate. So we're going to read like three synopses of haunted places, and you get to pick out of the three which one you want to go to, and then we'll tell you what the place is.
Bridget Marquardt
Okay.
Corinne
So the first one is a place where spirits do not rest. They remember they haunt and they terrify. You're almost guaranteed to have a paranormal encounter here. Crumbling, long abandoned halls, hundreds of thousands of deaths, shadow figures, a death chute, and children laughing.
Bridget Marquardt
Okay, that sounds like Waverly.
Ryan Reynolds
Something mysterious lurks behind the facade of glamour and glitz of this next place. Known for iconic parties and sultry happenings, this haunted location offers secret passageways, phantom footsteps, and some personal memories.
Bridget Marquardt
Hmm, that could be a lot of places.
Corinne
All right, this third one, if you're still looking for something royal, how about a fortress of fear with a haunting history? Torture, betrayal, major Catholic guilt, a headless ghost, starved prisoners, a lady in gray, and yes, ghost monkeys. It really has it all. Centuries of bloodshed and dark deeds means no corner is safe.
Bridget Marquardt
Gosh, that sounds like the Tower of London or something. I'm gonna go with the first one because it said paranormal guaranteed.
Corinne
I'm like, all right, the first one is Waverly Hills, and that last one was Tower of London.
Bridget Marquardt
And then. Okay, read me the second one again. Let me see if I can get it.
Ryan Reynolds
Okay. Something mysterious lurks behind the facade of glamour and glitz of this next place. Known for iconic parties and sultry happenings, this haunted location offers secret passageways, phantom footsteps, and some personal memories.
Bridget Marquardt
So the Playboy man. Yes. Well, honestly, I would want to go there to, like, check it out because they've been renovating it and stuff. So I really want to go and check it out, but I'm so curious if it's haunted. There was this podcast recently that had a butler on who was, like, trying to say that it was never haunted and stuff. And I just have to say, just because you've never had an experience somewhere does not mean it's not haunted.
Ryan Reynolds
Right?
Corinne
Completely agree. Yeah.
Ryan Reynolds
You can never say definitively that a place is not haunted.
Bridget Marquardt
He did.
Corinne
Well and he's wrong.
Ryan Reynolds
Shame on him. What's his name? Let's.
Bridget Marquardt
Let's post it. I know, I know. And not only that, but, like, one of the encounters that I had there, two other people were with me and saw it at the same time. So you're calling all three of us a liar at the same moment?
Ryan Reynolds
Oh, my God, that's so insulting.
Corinne
We have one more round.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, I'm so excited, though, that I, like, got off.
Corinne
I know, I know.
Ryan Reynolds
You're three for three. Okay. Nestled in the woods, settled atop blood soaked battlegrounds, a place so haunted, it inspired an iconic horror film. You'll be greeted by an array of ghosts, some playful, others unmistakably malevolent. You're sure to catch EVPs, feel cold spots, and maybe even witness light phenomena. But be careful. It might just be a gateway to something extraterrestrial.
Bridget Marquardt
Ooh. Okay.
Corinne
Forget one building. This haunted town offers delights by day and frights by night. Steeped with a history of death, betrayal, and murder, you are sure to experience vengeance seeking ghosts, full body apparitions, flickering lights, and the feeling of being watched. This historical place is remembered not for its beauty, but for its horrors. From cursed cemeteries to cursed inns. Good luck finding a place to stay that isn't haunted.
Ryan Reynolds
I'm trying to figure out which place that is myself. Okay. How would you like to step into the wilderness, get some fresh air, and stumble upon miles and miles of haunted happenings? Known for its hostile environment, this place has become a favorite for some unbecoming individuals, both dead and alive. Soldiers, hitchhikers, beasts. You'll have to determine what is real and what is not. But you'll enjoy nature as you do so. But just be careful where you step and let someone know where you're going ahead of time.
Bridget Marquardt
Ooh. Okay. Wow. Those are harder ones. I mean, the Bridgewater Triangle.
Corinne
It's close.
Bridget Marquardt
Is that one of them?
Corinne
That one was the Pine Barrens in New Jersey with, like, the Jersey Devil.
Bridget Marquardt
Okay, the Pine Barrens. I don't really know that much about that. Is that where the. The New Jersey Devil is supposed to be?
Corinne
Yeah, it's a pretty big area that the mafia Italian mob is said to dump bodies as well. So there's a lot happening.
Ryan Reynolds
There's a lot going on. Dense forest.
Bridget Marquardt
And then the first one.
Corinne
Do you want us to read it again or do you want to pick between the three?
Bridget Marquardt
First, is one of them Gettysburg?
Ryan Reynolds
No, no. But honestly, the description for the second one could probably be applied to Gettysburg.
Corinne
It could be, yeah. It was Salem, but I feel like. Yeah, it's pretty.
Ryan Reynolds
It's also Gettysburg.
Bridget Marquardt
Salem. Gettysburg, you know, and what was the other one?
Ryan Reynolds
The first one was the Conjuring House.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, okay.
Corinne
Because they say that there's a lot of aliens and alien activity there.
Bridget Marquardt
Right.
Ryan Reynolds
And they've actually started. So this could be a new experience for you if you want to go to the Conjuring House and experience it outside of just the house, they've started camping. They call it glamping ghost camping.
Corinne
I don't know if they still do.
Ryan Reynolds
It or are they not doing anymore?
Corinne
I think they've, like, closed down the Conjuring to ghost tours recently.
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, that's what I heard too. I heard that there was Some weirdness going on over there. Who.
Ryan Reynolds
Who is this company that's buying all these fucking places? And now I'm like, now I feel very Scooby Doo, where, like, there's one evil masked person who's going into all of our favorite places and ruining them.
Bridget Marquardt
But you know what? The alien thing, okay, this is gonna sound crazy, like, I can't get a show sold, but Nick and I also did a pilot for a paranormal show way a long time ago. Like. Like shortly after I left the mansion, I feel like. And his dad was an astronaut, one of the original Mercury astronauts back in the 60s. And so he's always been fascinated by, like, aliens and things like that. And so we had a show where we were going to go to places that had both alien stories and, like, paranormal ghost stories and things and, like, see if there's like a connection or, like, what we experience when we go there and stuff. We did our pilot in Julian, California. It's over by kind of like on the outskirts of San Diego.
Corinne
Okay.
Bridget Marquardt
And it's up in kind of like the mountains and stuff. And this town is like, really haunted. There's a old historic hotel there that's haunted. That's where we stayed and did our ghost tour. But then they also have had UFO sightings and things like that there. And there's a guy who does, like these star tours at night where you go and look at the telescope and he's pointing everything out. So we added that to it. And then we went down into the old mine and went panning for gold. Oh, my God.
Ryan Reynolds
Things like that.
Bridget Marquardt
So cool, the whole thing. So, like, anytime we're like, the aliens are also involved, like, I have a special interest. Not because I want to, because I know I'm going to get Nick to be interested.
Corinne
So you don't want to have an encounter with aliens?
Bridget Marquardt
I don't know. See, I believe they exist. I believe they're here. And I don't know if it's for our better good. I've heard too many different things going on, but I. I'm a little afraid of them.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah, I feel that too. Sabrina has long been like, abduct me, I want to be abducted. And then I've been like, no, I don't fuck with aliens at all. But more recently, I have been open to participating in a CE5 event because it doesn't guarantee you're gonna be abducted. It's more of just like, will you see the UFOs in the sky?
Bridget Marquardt
Oh, I'm okay with that. And I May have seen that. So my husband's family has a 500 acre ranch out in Colorado. And there's nothing on it except for like an old homesteaded cabin from the 1800s which we just use it to store stuff. Like you do not want to stay in there and not. Cause it's haunted. But you'll get that. What is it? The anorovirus or whatever. Like there's like dropping like it's not good. But there's a ton of cows. They lease the land to like graze cows on and things like that. And every year in the summertime we go there and we camp on it for a couple of days. And one night we were sitting out by the campfire and it's not that late, but it always feels later when you're camping and you know, it gets nighttime and stuff like so I think it was probably like maybe 10 o' clock or whatever. And to get to the, the actual ranch you have to go down this long ass road. Like it takes. You go down a dirt road first that's like more public, but then you turn off of that road to an even like more dirt road with like potholes and like, like not kept like the other one. And there's a gate and everything. And. And then you drive for like another 15 minutes down. And so we're like way deep in there and it butts up to the national forest. So it's very isolated, it's very out there. My husband and his brother and me, that's who was camping. And one of them noticed at the end of the road. They're like, what are those lights down there? There was like these like little lights. I make it look like they were dancing around. They weren't. They were just kind of like sitting there at the. And it looked like it was very like right at the end of the driveway.
Corinne
Interesting.
Bridget Marquardt
Which is very far though.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
But we're like looking at it and I'm like not believing them. I feel like they're just like whatever and I'm not paying attention. And then they were. Then they're both like really checking it out. And they're like, yeah, what is that? I think that's an alien. And Nick's like, you gotta come over here and check this out. Like I think this might be an alien. And I'm like, are they with me? Like what's going on? And so I go and I look and sure enough there are these lights. And it looks to me like somebody has a drone that's just sitting there. But like it's 10 o' clock in the. In the night in the middle of nowhere, Colorado. Like, why would somebody have a drone right into our driveway?
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
So, like, we're watching it and it's just sitting there. It never did anything. And the story doesn't go anywhere from that. But I just. I. That's the only time I question whether. Did I really see.
Corinne
How long did it stay there for, though?
Bridget Marquardt
It was still there when we went to bed.
Corinne
That's so weird. It feels like.
Ryan Reynolds
Nope. With the cloud that just hovers in the sky. But. Yeah, that is really bizarre.
Bridget Marquardt
It was the very first year that I met Nick. He went to the ranch with a friend, and they found a cow that had been mutilated.
Corinne
Oh, that's so.
Bridget Marquardt
And he said it's crazy. It is crazy because it is laser precision. What?
Corinne
Weird.
Bridget Marquardt
So it's not just like, it got struck by lightning or like, something got it or something that's also just, like.
Corinne
Unsettling to come across. But that's a lot of land, open land that, like, if people aren't there all the time, who knows what happens on the land?
Ryan Reynolds
I know.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah.
Corinne
Like, if I'm an alien, I'd be like, yeah, this is a perfect place for me to stop and dissect a cow.
Ryan Reynolds
Oh, you should encourage him to put up trail cams just randomly, every, like, 10 acres. Pop up a camera to see what happens.
Bridget Marquardt
We should. The scariest thing that happened was just this last summer, we went for a hike and we were walking down this. This little. I don't know, I guess just down the hill, for lack of a better term. And Nick's brother and his girlfriend were at the top of the hill still, like, on the ridge. And we were walking down, and there's like, just all this, like, shrubbery and brush beside us. And all of a sudden he yells out, moose. Moose. And we're like, what? And all of a sudden we see this giant bull moose head peek out over the bushes and look at us and we're. And those things are so mean, you guys. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God. And we're, like, slowly backing up, Right?
Ryan Reynolds
Well, they're extremely territorial and they're massive. Like, that thing charges at you, you're. You're done.
Corinne
Damn.
Bridget Marquardt
So huge. It took him like, 10 gallops to go across the entire field. Like, something that takes us 30 minutes to walk back.
Corinne
Oh, my gosh. Well, this makes me think about our plan to go look for Bigfoot at the Bridgewater Triangle.
Bridget Marquardt
Are there moves there?
Corinne
No, but Bigfoot.
Ryan Reynolds
But maybe we. Maybe we should bring something stronger than our.
Corinne
Our wits, than our visors.
Ryan Reynolds
I'll bring bear spray.
Corinne
Would you rather encounter a moose or a Bigfoot?
Bridget Marquardt
Bigfoot for sure.
Ryan Reynolds
Okay, wait. There is one other creature aside from Bigfoot that said to haunt the Bridgewater Triangle, which also, if we come into contact with it, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but apparently there's pterodactyls. People see pterodactyls in the sky. Don't you remember this?
Corinne
Yes, but it still blows my mind every time I hear it. There's a.
Ryan Reynolds
There's prehistoric dinosaurs in the sky in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Bridget Marquardt
I was hoping you were going to say it was a puck wedgie.
Ryan Reynolds
No, but we'd all like to encounter the puck wedgie. Right?
Corinne
We also just recently learned about the Squonk, who is a cryptid from Pennsylvania. And it's, like the saddest, ugliest cryptid, but it, like, is always crying.
Bridget Marquardt
It's part skunk, right?
Corinne
No, it kind of looks like a pig and a pug. Oh.
Bridget Marquardt
Yeah.
Ryan Reynolds
It's just. It's. It's not attractive. And it knows it, unfortunately.
Corinne
And it cries a lot. It's, like, very depressed.
Ryan Reynolds
Yeah, it's really sad. If you encounter one or if you kind of, like, corner one, it will just cry itself into a puddle and disappear.
Corinne
Yeah.
Bridget Marquardt
What? That's so sad.
Corinne
I know. It's so cute, though.
Bridget Marquardt
I don't know about him.
Ryan Reynolds
Well, we'll all have to get together soon and actually do our investigation.
Corinne
Yeah.
Ryan Reynolds
So we'll make some plans. But, Bridget, thank you so much for joining us and for playing our game with us and talking about the paranormal. It's something that obviously all of us could talk about all day long, for sure.
Corinne
Can you tell everyone where to find you and if you have anything exciting coming out, what they can be excited for?
Bridget Marquardt
Yes, I am at Bridget Marker on Instagram. That's where I'm most active. There's a Twitter out there, too. I only post just, like, when I have something to promote on there. And Facebook, which I never go to, so don't bother there. Just.
Ryan Reynolds
You sound like me where I'm like, this social media, but I never log in.
Bridget Marquardt
I know. And then I have YouTube. I have YouTube for my Ghost Bunny podcast, and it's oustbunny podcast. And then I have Instagram for ghostbunny podcast as well, and it's ghostbunny podcast. And then I also do the Girls Next level podcast with my co host, Holly, and we talk about it's a rewatch podcast for the girls next door. So we have a lot of fun on that. That's everything that's going on.
Corinne
Amazing.
Ryan Reynolds
And we will see you on the other side.
Corinne
Very spooky.

Host/Author: Sony Music Entertainment
In this spine-chilling episode of Two Girls One Ghost, hosts Corinne Vien and Sabrina Deana-Roga welcome special guest Bridget Marquardt, the creator and host of the paranormal podcast Ghost Bunny. Bridget shares her extensive experiences and encounters in the realm of the supernatural, offering listeners an intimate look into her haunted investigations and personal ghostly encounters.
Bridget begins by recounting her childhood fascination with the paranormal. At the age of 12, she saved up her babysitting money to purchase a Ouija board, eager to connect with the spirit world.
Bridget Marquardt [03:12]: “The first thing I wanted to buy was a Ouija board. I made my cousin and my little brother play. We were trying to reach out to my great grandfather who had recently passed.”
During one session, unusual marks appeared on her cousin’s legs, causing immense fear and ultimately ending their Ouija board adventures.
Bridget Marquardt [04:25]: “My cousin had these X marks on her legs, like indents. She was terrified to this day.”
Bridget shares her eerie experiences while investigating the renowned Winchester Mystery House. During filming, strange occurrences heightened the suspense, including a light fixture falling and the manifestation of Sarah Winchester-like apparitions.
Bridget Marquardt [05:01]: “As I walked in, my tennis shoes turned into Victorian boots. I was trapped inside the house, witnessing strange phenomena.”
One particularly unsettling moment involved a door slamming shut unexpectedly, which Bridget believes was an attempt by a spirit to aid the scene.
Bridget Marquardt [07:37]: “Something put the door shut. I asked the producer if he did it, but he denied it. It felt like the ghost was helping.”
For her birthday, Bridget and her partner Nick stayed overnight at the Myrtles Plantation, one of America's most haunted locations. Despite initial inactivity, their investigation took a sinister turn late at night.
Bridget Marquardt [14:23]: “Around three in the morning, we were awakened by unexplained electronic noises. Our K2 meter started reacting erratically.”
They experienced heavy pressure in the room, unexplained noises, and restless spirits, culminating in an unnerving encounter with phantom furniture movement.
Bridget Marquardt [17:27]: “We heard furniture moving above us and children playing. It felt overwhelmingly heavy and tense.”
Morning revealed that others had also heard similar disturbances, confirming the haunting presence within their room.
Bridget Marquardt [20:42]: “The managers mentioned that the last two guests left in the middle of the night, which was unusual.”
Bridget recounts a harrowing experience at Holly's ex-husband’s haunted guest house in Las Vegas. During an impromptu investigation with friends, they felt a direct connection with the spirits present.
Bridget Marquardt [25:15]: “We were sitting in the guest house, asking questions, and I felt a poke in my shoulder blade. Later, a psychic confirmed it was a little girl spirit.”
This encounter was validated when a psychic later called to report the interaction, solidifying Bridget's belief in the paranormal.
Bridget Marquardt [28:18]: “The psychic said a little girl from the pioneer days had poked me. It was the confirmation I needed. 100%.”
Bridget delves into her experiences at the Eastern State Penitentiary and the Stanley Mansfield Reformatory. While at the former, she felt an electric jolt during an EVP session, heightening her supernatural encounters.
Bridget Marquardt [31:03]: “I reached out to spirits and felt an electric jolt in my finger. It was as if something touched me.”
Although some investigations yielded minimal activity, Bridget emphasizes the unpredictable nature of hauntings.
Bridget Marquardt [34:32]: “Most investigations don’t yield results on command, but every encounter is unique.”
Recently, Bridget visited Bethany's Haunted Suite in Jackson, California, celebrating her grandmother's 106th birthday. During an EVP session in the National Hotel’s card room, Bridget heard her name clearly, a rare and significant occurrence.
Bridget Marquardt [33:58]: “We were doing an EVP in the card room, and it said my name clearly. It wasn’t a common name, so that was undeniable.”
This experience further fuels her passion for uncovering the mysteries of the supernatural.
Throughout the episode, Bridget discusses various paranormal investigation methods, including using K2 meters, conducting EVP sessions, and the importance of having an open and respectful mindset during investigations.
Bridget Marquardt [38:34]: “Having people who are open-minded and respectful is crucial. Skepticism can jeopardize the entire experience.”
She also touches on the challenges of capturing accurate EVPs and the thrill when spirits respond directly.
Bridget Marquardt [31:22]: “I've been on countless investigations, and while I often ask for touch, only a few spirits respond. But those encounters are unforgettable.”
In a fun and engaging game, Corinne and Ryan present Bridget with synopses of three haunted locations. Bridget confidently identifies and chooses Waverly Hills, recognizing it as a paranormal hotspot.
Corinne [48:03]: “Place one sounds like Waverly Hills, with crumbling halls and guaranteed paranormal encounters.”
Bridget’s selection highlights her extensive knowledge and intuition regarding haunted sites.
Bridget shares her top haunted destinations she wishes to explore, including Waverly Hills, Trans Allegheny, and the Crescent Hotel. She expresses excitement about potential investigations and collaborations with fellow paranormal enthusiasts.
Bridget Marquardt [39:52]: “Waverly Hills is high on my list because I want to experience its renowned hauntings firsthand.”
Amidst the eerie stories, the hosts and Bridget share humorous and relatable moments, such as dreaming about bizarre entities and contemplating the choice between encountering a moose or Bigfoot during investigations.
Ryan Reynolds [45:29]: “We both had similar dreams about a monstrous penis. So weird!”
These moments add a touch of levity, balancing the intense paranormal discussions.
As the episode winds down, Bridget provides listeners with details on how to connect with her and follow her paranormal endeavors.
Bridget Marquardt [61:58]: “You can find me on Instagram at Bridget Marker, and on YouTube for the Ghost Bunny podcast. I also co-host the Girls Next Level podcast with Holly.”
