Todd Grayson Chase
Welcome to Two Sons and Me. I'm Todd Grayson Chase, and we're here to kind of amuse you to a certain degree, but also to inform you on what it's like to raise boys today. So today, let's talk about this generational gap between guys, you are soon to be 20, you're soon to be 30.
Grayson
We can have.
Todd Grayson Chase
I'm soon to be. Well, I just have become 58, so I'm really probably soon to be 60 in two years. Damn. You should be grateful to the good lord above that you live that long.
Grayson
To be honest, I'm not good with birthdays. I didn't realize you were that old till about the other day. I was like, what isn't dad's 54, 55th? Mom goes, he's almost 60. I said, what?
Todd Grayson Chase
She loves to say that shit. But what she doesn't realize is that she's five years older than me. So let her keep talking. So, you know, I get all these questions, you know, that, you know, can you discuss this? Can you discuss that? I love the new podcast with you and your boys. And, you know, we have gotten so much positive feedback on this podcast, which is great because, you know, normally, I mean, we live in a world that is. The majority of it is negativity that people want to put out there, but we're getting so much love on this podcast. So one of the things that people have asked for me to delve into is the difference between my generation and the generations that have come after us.
Grayson
Mm.
Savannah
So here we go.
Todd Grayson Chase
I'm going to talk about my generation, which I think my generation is the last of the great generations.
Savannah
Really.
Todd Grayson Chase
I do. I do believe that, because I think that my generation, you know, my mom and dad's generation, was like one of the greatest because there was more wealth that was obtained in their generation than any other generation.
Savannah
You sure about that?
Grayson
I can't really talk bad about your generation. It brought a storage straight, so.
Todd Grayson Chase
Huh.
Grayson
Said I can't talk bad about your generation. It brought us George Straits.
Todd Grayson Chase
There you go.
Savannah
George Straits. A lot older than him.
Todd Grayson Chase
Not 10. He's not. He's not. But I think he's 70. So what is that, 12 years? How old is George?
Grayson
I'd give anything to see him in concert.
Todd Grayson Chase
Grayson, you've been to every person's concerts. You go to these people's concerts so much that they want to invite you for dinner.
Grayson
I got two people I wanted to see.
Todd Grayson Chase
George, 73.
Savannah
So he said, not your generation.
Todd Grayson Chase
Now she's 15 years older than me.
Grayson
Correct.
Todd Grayson Chase
But, you know, when you look at. I mean, look at that generation, though. That generation throughout. George Strait. Share. Tina Turner. I mean, do you. All of the greats, really, when you start looking back, Donna Summer, the Bee Gees.
Grayson
But do you not think that, like, my generation. Facebook, our kids are going to look back and be like, the same way? Like, damn, like, we had Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs and people like that.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah.
Savannah
Like our generation is going to look
Grayson
back and say the same thing.
Todd Grayson Chase
But I think that when you look at it from. From my perspective, my parents and their generation were all hardworking people. That generation was not lazy. Our generation became. Showed signs of laziness. Yalls generation have gotten certificates of laziness. Because we, your mother and I, y' all know that we've worked every day of yalls lives.
Grayson
I think that's because it's gotten easier to make money. You can make money off your phone now.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, I know. I need y' all to do that.
Grayson
Why do you think I get Aaron to send me the clips from the podcast.
Todd Grayson Chase
I need you to start doing that
Grayson
so I can post them on my TikTok.
Todd Grayson Chase
But not only is it different economically from generation to generation, things that are okay today would have never been okay in my generation. Certainly the things that was okay in my generation was not okay with my parents. Generation. Generation. And even further back. Yeah, so what? So I will say. I'll start off with saying the thing that I find that is so shocking today. In today's time for me is the whole concept of anything goes.
Grayson
I feel like it's just the world
Savannah
that we live in.
Grayson
The wrong generation.
Todd Grayson Chase
You think you were born in the wrong generation? Tell me why.
Grayson
I just have a lot of old ways of thinking.
Todd Grayson Chase
Such as?
Grayson
You know, a lot of stuff.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, let's talk about them.
Grayson
Well, even the music I listen to.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, yeah, you're an old soul when it comes to music, but you're also an old soul when it comes to like your core values.
Grayson
Yeah, that's what I mean by like politics. My core values, like, that's all very old thinking.
Todd Grayson Chase
What about you?
Savannah
I think that I'm more old school. But I mean like, I think that everyone should do what makes them happy.
Grayson
I feel like you and Savannah are more open minded and I'm more. Yeah, this is what I believe in.
Savannah
I'm more open minded to change.
Todd Grayson Chase
Do we call it being open minded to change? Are just becoming immune to what's going on around you?
Grayson
There's a mixture, probably.
Savannah
A mixture? Yeah.
Grayson
Because part of it I don't care enough to like. Well, that say anything about it.
Todd Grayson Chase
See, that right there is part of the problem though with your generation.
Grayson
But the issue is what are you going to do? You're going to try to convince all these people differently? No.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, I think you have to stand up for what you believe in and make sure that your voice is heard. Because the more that people hear your perspective on things, it causes them to look at the either dig in more on where they stand because they believe in that, or they start hearing something different that maybe resonates with them. I firmly believe that the more that more. The more conversations that we have as a. As people, the better off we are.
Grayson
I honestly hate my like, not hate, but I like strongly dislike my generation.
Todd Grayson Chase
Really? Yeah. What about you?
Savannah
Yeah, there's some scumbags in my generation.
Grayson
I just feel like we live in a world now. It's where.
Savannah
But I feel like there's people that are your age that are scumbags too. Like. But it's like, like now I feel like the world as a whole has just become a significantly shittier place.
Grayson
I feel like back then you could say what you want. Nobody could.
Todd Grayson Chase
Back then. You didn't say anything you wanted. Back then you got to slap that.
Grayson
Well, that's what I'm saying. But now if you say something someone doesn't like, they're just like, oh, well, we're just going to cancel that person so we don't have to hear them Anymore.
Todd Grayson Chase
And. And how is that when you're sitting here talking about freedom of speech? It's freedom of speech as long as the speech is aligned with what you want it to be aligned with.
Savannah
That's because everybody's gotten soft.
Todd Grayson Chase
There you go. That's what I keep saying.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
I mean, I can tell you, like, growing up, me and my friends, we all pretty much had about the same thing, and there was really not a ton of drama when I was growing up. I look back on my life and my school and the people I went to school with. I didn't like everyone I went to school with, but I didn't hate anyone. I genuinely didn't hate anyone.
Savannah
Do you have people that you hate now?
Todd Grayson Chase
Not for my school, no.
Savannah
No. Like, in general?
Todd Grayson Chase
Not really.
Savannah
Really?
Todd Grayson Chase
Not really?
Savannah
Like, you don't have a kill list?
Todd Grayson Chase
No, I don't.
Savannah
Like if the world was coming to an end or if there was like
Todd Grayson Chase
a I have a beat shit list.
Savannah
Okay. But if there's, like. If there was a purge where everything was legal for 20 hours, do you don't have anybody you would kill?
Todd Grayson Chase
No, I would beat the. Out of several people.
Savannah
But not kill.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, I don't have.
Grayson
I don't want to kill anybody.
Savannah
That's gross.
Grayson
Sabotage. Few people.
Savannah
You only have 24 hours, though.
Todd Grayson Chase
But, you know, down to Auburn. I don't have people that I feel like that with. Because when you start. If you have a kill list. I do, Then that means that you have opened up your heart for hatred, and that has become the devil's fertile playground. That's what that means.
Savannah
I'm not saying it's right, but if there is a purge, I've got about 59 people on my list.
Todd Grayson Chase
That is a lot of people I would come out. That tells me that you have been shitty. In order for you to have 59 people that you think is, well, call.
Savannah
No, I haven't been shitty, but, I mean, I'm sure I've been shitty at times, but they were definitely shittier. And, yeah, I've got about 59 people. If there's a. If there was a purge, I'm coming out dressed like a Call of Duty, like, Call of Duty figure, and I'm mowing some people down.
Todd Grayson Chase
You know, we really. He. You got to have some deep psychological help.
Savannah
I mean, I'm being honest, and I
Todd Grayson Chase
do think that there's people or something. I don't have. I have no one that I hate enough to kill, literally. That's surprising. I don't. I don't Nope. I. I wish.
Savannah
I mean, Grayson, I know you would kill someone. I know you have.
Grayson
I would kill somebody. I definitely wish bad on people.
Todd Grayson Chase
But you don't have.
Savannah
Like, if there's a purge, you would not. You don't have anybody in this world that you would go and.
Grayson
I don't know if I'd kill him. I'd probably be out of them, but I wouldn't kill him.
Savannah
You're not going to get in trouble, though.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, it's not about. Yeah, but I got. Doing the right.
Grayson
I got to deal with myself the next day.
Todd Grayson Chase
There you go.
Grayson
I'd be. I'd get them close to it, but I wouldn't kill him.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, no, I want. I want you to stay alive to where you can feel that you got beat out of you, but I don't have that. And like, talking, going back to generation stuff. I. I genuinely went because, you know, in my generation, people have started passing away that I went to school with. And I genuine, genuinely, my heart breaks when I see that or hear something like that because I remember them just as they. In their. In my mind, they're exactly the same as they were when I went to school with them. And, you know, I have. Now, listen, like I said, I don't like everyone that I went to school with, but I don't hate anyone. I don't wish bad on any of them, but.
Savannah
But okay, that's people you went to school with. But overall, you don't have anybody you wish bad upon that you just wish they have a terrible day.
Grayson
I don't believe that. I do.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, not really.
Savannah
I don't know that I believe that.
Todd Grayson Chase
And it's okay. I don't feel the need like, you know, you talk about, you know, my former cfo, the one that embezzled all the money from us and caused a lot of this shit. Do I hate him and do I want him dead? No. He's short and fat, unattractive. I want him to live a long life of being short, fat and unattractive.
Grayson
That's really more pain than dying.
Todd Grayson Chase
She was out of his mouth because, you know, based on the videos that we've seen that of him in Undress, we know that he has to sit to take a piss. I need for him to continue in that same vein because God already punished him by leaving him like that.

Todd Grayson Chase
Start your free trial@shopify.com so God will do more. Let me tell you something. God will shake you up quicker than Todd can.
Savannah
That's a fact. So I would do some shaken.
Todd Grayson Chase
So I don't really want that like Sherry Salisbury, that ratchet wig wearing witch. No, I want her to continue to have bad taste. I want her to live her to be, to live as old as Methuselah so that she can be bald headed, can't get a wig, can't get a wig on straight. Now I want her to be old and bald headed with bad ashy skin.
Savannah
Well, that's hatred.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, it's not. It's just saying, lord, give her exactly what you know she deserves, warts and all. So no, I don't. I just don't have that. I am friends today with people that I wasn't friends with in high school and I'm now friends with them because we have grown. I mean, I had two people reach out to me when I came home from school and I never really had a relationship with them. And both of these were guys and they said, man, I'm so happy to see you're home. My wife and I have prayed for you and your wife every day and I'm going to tell you Something, buddy, you got a bigger set on you than anybody we went to school with. So now we text back and forth and we chat, you know, once a week, once every two weeks. Or you will send each other stuff on Instagram. And I love that because we have that connectivity. We have that we grew up in the same area, we did the same things, we know the same people. So my generation, I believe. Now, listen, we've still got some caddy cunts in our generation, and I went to school with some of them. But you know who you are. But because I'm trying to be nice today, I ain't going to call you out. But your first name starts with an L and your last name starts with an S. I'm not saying that you're not going to get me to talk about Lisa. Like, I mean, I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it. I feel like that for, for me and my generation, we didn't really like, you had your gossips, but we were not really out trying to destroy each other. But also, in defense of your generation for that comment that I just made, we didn't have social media. Yeah. We had no Instagram, no Twitter, no Facebook. My daddy and mom, the word did
Savannah
not travel as fast.
Todd Grayson Chase
No. My mom and dad used to say we had two phones in our house. One hung on the wall in the kitchen and one that was beside my mama's bed. And before we left that house, my mom and daddy, one of them got it out before the other one did. It was very simple. Do not let a phone call beat you home. Because back then, the whole community was watching. What? Nobody snatching kids. Back in my neighborhood, in my neighborhood, my mama said, when them street lights come on, you better have your ass home. And Faye Chrisley was not. Faye Chrisley was the original white Medea. Mama did not give a damn about coming through Westminster in her gown looking for Randy and would get out in the Winn Dixie parking lot and go and ask everybody there, where's my son? She did not care. Back then, people watched out for other people's kids.
Savannah
Yeah. Now that's not.
Todd Grayson Chase
Now that's not a thing. You better watch out for your own.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
I think that my generation was harder working people. I think that we paid attention more and that we had way more common sense than what yalls generation has.
Grayson
No, I would agree with that.
Savannah
I think you have definitely more common sense. Yeah, for sure. I. I don't know. I feel like there's been a lot of wealth Created by my generation.
Grayson
History. I mean, Mark Zuckerberg's in his generation.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, well, but what have y'.
Savannah
All.
Todd Grayson Chase
But what is your generation done with that? Because he's not your generation.
Grayson
He is his generation.
Savannah
He is my generation.
Todd Grayson Chase
How to say he's in his 20s.
Savannah
No, he's 30, I think 30 something.
Todd Grayson Chase
Check and say what? How. How old he is.
Savannah
He's not. I don't think he's.
Grayson
He's one of the youngest billionaires.
Savannah
Oh, he's 41.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah. He's not your generation, so you can't claim him.
Savannah
We got. Well, we had TikTok.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, you got tick tock now. But you know, what are you accomplishing with.
Grayson
That was on us.
Todd Grayson Chase
That was the.
Savannah
That's created so much wealth. People. People literally make millions of dol being on TikTok.
Todd Grayson Chase
But don't you. Do you believe that social media has been more of a help than it has been more of more of?
Savannah
I think it's both. I mean, I think it's provided an opportunity for a lot of people to make a living, but also I think it's been the downfall of society.
Todd Grayson Chase
I believe 100% that it is the downfall of human connection.
Savannah
I mean, as far as going out and meeting people.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, but I mean, because your generation lacks self esteem, your generation suffers from the highest level of anxiety than any generation before you.
Savannah
Yeah, I mean, that probably that definitely has something to do with it.
Todd Grayson Chase
And that I'm going to tell you right now, social media has a big play in that. Because social media, you're constantly having to check and see if somebody say this about me or did someone post this or whatever. Well, this person's life looks way better than my life. So I've got a line and alter this picture and make this look and let me go take a picture with this car so that the world will think that it's my car. We didn't have to do any of that. Yeah, we were trying to get $5 to go to Holland's Rollerama to the skating rink, get a slice of pizza, couple skate and then see each other again on Monday. Back in school, we didn't have that added extra stress that y' all have on y' all in your generation. And it's worse within your generation.
Savannah
Yeah, I think my kids would definitely not be on social media for a long time.
Todd Grayson Chase
I was with a couple in Jupiter last week. Yeah, this last week, sitting there in a restaurant, in Michael Jordan's restaurant. We were having dinner and she said something that was so profound. She says, my children do not have tablets.
Savannah
Yeah. I won't have my kids. When I.
Todd Grayson Chase
She said, because we have one television in our family room and we watch that television together. I see what they're watching. She says, a tablet is not. She said, I'm not giving my child a tablet. So you have act. So the outside world has access to my child.
Savannah
Yeah, I don't believe in that either. My kids will not have.
Todd Grayson Chase
So I'm like, iPad kid. That is so profound. And, you know, this was MC and Ricky's kids that I was talking to. And I mean, you talk about gorgeous children being raised the right way. The most. The little boy is the most. Is the cutest child in the world. The little girl has got the most gorgeous eyes that you've ever seen, and her name's Millie and she's the sweetest thing. And they're just well behaved kids, but they are in their children's lives 24 hours a day.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
And.
Savannah
But I think that's also something that has changed. I don't. I don't think. I think a lot of people are not as involved in their children's lives anymore.
Todd Grayson Chase
But don't you think a lot of people are not as involved in their children's lives because of how much things cost today that they have to work two and three jobs in order to hold on?
Savannah
That could be. That's one aspect of it. But I think there I have, like, friends or people that I know that have a lot of money. Like, they're very wealthy and they just. They have other people that step in and help.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, they don't have kids. All you're doing is offering job security to somebody you're gonna hire. You have children because they also.
Savannah
They also very busy with work and providing, too.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, let's talk about that. They're providing because a child needs food, shelter, love, stability, health care, and for you to teach them about their faith.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
So you can teach a child about faith and it doesn't cost you anything. You can love your child and make them feel safe, and it costs you. It costs you nothing. Insurance, it cost you to have that child, to keep them covered, putting a roof over their head to where they can feel secure and safe. That costs you money. Educating your child cost you money. But we don't have to have everything. A child doesn't have to have everything that y' all were given.
Savannah
Yeah, but I think when you love your child, you want to give them.
Todd Grayson Chase
That's not love. I've learned that.
Savannah
No, no, that's not love that trying
Todd Grayson Chase
to feed the inner child that you still possess that you didn't feel like you got enough.
Grayson
That's why I don't, I don't agree with that.
Todd Grayson Chase
That's what 100 of mine was.
Grayson
That might be what yours was. I feel like ours is you want to work and be successful so that you can give your kids the same or more than what you had.
Savannah
Yeah.
Grayson
You don't ever want to give your kids less than what you had.
Todd Grayson Chase
Do you think that you should give your children more than what you've been given?
Grayson
No. But also don't give them less. I want to be able to give them. I'm not saying I will give them more than had, but I want to be able to give them more.
Todd Grayson Chase
Cuz don't you think that you. That, that would you acknowledge that you could, your life could have been just as happy with le.
IQ Bar Announcer
Yeah.
Grayson
I've always said that though.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
You wow.
Savannah
Wow.
Grayson
And it would have been just as good.
Todd Grayson Chase
But I think we've lost as a generation for the connectivity.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
Between human beings.
Savannah
Whenever, when I have kids, like I'm going to. When I'm at home with them, like I, I'm not going to be on my phone, like I'm going to have a set time that I put my phone away and I'm just completely present.
Todd Grayson Chase
I think that's great. I mean if you can do that, I think that's great. Not a lot of families can do that.
Savannah
I mean but you really can. And after a certain time, like 6 o' clock or whenever or whenever you're at home, you. I don't think that, I think that you can put the phone.
Todd Grayson Chase
But we have. But the companies today that these men and women are working for do not respect that at home time.
Savannah
That's true.
Todd Grayson Chase
So that individual that's at home, that mother that's standing there with the baby on her hip trying to fix food for two others and then she gets a call from, from the office that says hey, where's this file? Or hey can you go check your email and forward me this over.
Savannah
But that goes back to our society and how nobody respects. There's a lot.
Todd Grayson Chase
We've already talked about it.
Savannah
No, nobody respects boundaries at all. Like, and at the end of the day, I mean it's just, it's, it's disgusting.

You know, no one in my school that I'm aware of when I look over the things that's going on in our country today. My generation in my class was kind of damn normal. We were normal. All the boys that I went to school with are now men. All the girls I went to school with are now women. We didn't have.
Savannah
That's my generation.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, it ain't. Your generation's got y' all walking around here with cattails hanging on you.
Savannah
That is not your hair purple.
Todd Grayson Chase
That's earring nose rings. Oh, y' all even are damn doing clip rings now. I saw it online the other day.
Savannah
I've never seen a ring.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, not saying something, but. No, I mean, y' all do everything y' all do weird today.
Savannah
Like what? Okay, okay, that. But that's not everybody. No.
Grayson
And it's a select few.
Todd Grayson Chase
And then the guys are now piercing their scrotums.
Savannah
Oh, there's no way I would.
Todd Grayson Chase
That's on there.
Savannah
I wouldn't do that.
Todd Grayson Chase
We didn't do no such as that growing up.
Savannah
There's some people that get Botox in their balls so it's not wrinkly.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, mine's going to continue to look like an old set of luggage because they ain't a damn thing gonna stick me in my ball sack.
Savannah
No, me either.
Grayson
I can never.
Todd Grayson Chase
Not happening. Not happen.
Grayson
I don't like needles in general, let alone.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, that's just not gonna happen. But the things that your generations do. You just said to me the other yesterday that this girl you dated has now said that the dating pool is so shallow, she has now decided to be a lesbian.
Savannah
Yeah, but that girl, the men didn't want her anymore, so.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, I just think that she's been with every. Every male specimen.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
So she has to. In order. In order. The. The dating pool got shallow for her because she drained the pond.
Savannah
Yeah, for sure.
Todd Grayson Chase
She has to swim in the ladies pond now because there's nowhere else for her to go. I told you about that trick all them years ago.
Savannah
That is for sure.
Todd Grayson Chase
I told you if the mama's a ho, the daughter's a ho. It's just a generational thing and you got to pay attention to that. If the mama eats Xanax like Tic Tacs, the daughters. That Xanax eater. The daughters do what they see their mamas do and what they think they can get away with.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
It
Todd Grayson Chase
just is what it is.
Savannah
I think the male community would thank her for going to the other side, cuz.
Todd Grayson Chase
But like, nobody in my class is doing. Nobody from 1986.
Savannah
That. There are lesbians from 1986.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yes, there are, but they're old school lesbians.
Grayson
Them Stonewall gays.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah. What's that?
Grayson
You never heard about the Stonewall riots?
Savannah
No rights.
Grayson
Yeah, obviously never been in school before.
Todd Grayson Chase
Then what is that?
Grayson
All the gays started rioting in your generation?
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, hell, I don't know where I was. Probably minding my own business.
Savannah
That's not true. You've never done that.
Grayson
I can agree with that.
Todd Grayson Chase
My generation just did not do the things that y' all are doing.
Savannah
Like what, though? You're not explaining.
Todd Grayson Chase
You said we don't clear star sacks, okay? That we're not getting Botox in our sacks. We're not getting clit rings. We're not. We were not tatted from elbow.
Savannah
There's tons of people from your generation with tattoos.
Todd Grayson Chase
Not true.
Savannah
Yes, there are.
Todd Grayson Chase
There are more people in your generation that's tatted up than my generation ever had time to be. No one in my school ever had a tattoo.
Savannah
That's. I don't believe that.
Todd Grayson Chase
That is the God's honest truth.
Savannah
They probably have them now.
Todd Grayson Chase
I'm not. I don't know what they got now, but I'm telling you, going to school, we didn't have any shit like that. Never. Even the girls from Seneca, South Carolina didn't have that. And I lived in Westminster and you know, the girls in Seneca was, you know, a lot more advanced.
Savannah
But that's where mom is from. What the. But, you know, but there's nothing. Okay. If someone gets a piercing, that's their body. Who gives a. You don't gotta go lick. You don't have to go look or lick or flick a pierced.
Todd Grayson Chase
It's all over the Instagram.
Savannah
It's just people offering services.
Grayson
Yeah, you don't have to look.
Savannah
The person in there, probably Pearson. It's your age.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, you don't know that. And it was a raggedy ass girl and she was. Damn, she had Pearsons here.
Savannah
Here.
Todd Grayson Chase
She run out of real estate up in here. So I know it tells me that she's not pierced.
Savannah
Why does that bother you so much?
Todd Grayson Chase
Because I just think it's trashy.
Savannah
But why?
Todd Grayson Chase
Because it looks trashy as.
Savannah
Hey, but that's an opinion that you have from a very close minded sociopath.
Todd Grayson Chase
My generation, when we walk in for an interview, they don't call in the National Guard.
Savannah
They don't do that.
Todd Grayson Chase
Now your generation can't even go and have an effective interview because of a
Savannah
tattoo or a piercing.
Todd Grayson Chase
You understand that there are companies out here that will not even allow you to have a visible tattoo because of their image.
Savannah
I just don't agree with that.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, then listen, you let your kids get tatted. Asshole. Elbow. Don't bring them to my house. I don't want nobody if that's what you gonna do. I give them your mama's maiden name. Your children will be Hughes's.
Savannah
No, they won't.
Todd Grayson Chase
So I don't.
Savannah
I'm just saying it's like you're. You're going just.
Todd Grayson Chase
You're.
Savannah
You're way too invested in that.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, I'm just telling you from generation to generation. My generation was not as trashy as
Savannah
your generation, but I don't think. Okay, you getting a tattoo does not make you trashy. But, like, I know a bunch of really, really trashy people that don't have any tattoos, but they do trashy.
Todd Grayson Chase
That from your generation? From yours, too. No, not my people.
Savannah
Okay?
Todd Grayson Chase
Not my people. My people's not.
Grayson
I've seen some trash people from your generation.
Savannah
Dad, you got a little trash.
Todd Grayson Chase
Show me a mark on this body. I didn't. I didn't use my body as a cheat sheet.
Grayson
We didn't say. You just could.
Savannah
That we're not talking about.
Todd Grayson Chase
The only thing I've ever been trashy about was being a hoe. And I did that because there was nothing else to do.
Savannah
There's other things for sure.
Todd Grayson Chase
Name them.
Savannah
No one's perfect.
Todd Grayson Chase
Name what you think I've done that is trash other than being a hoe. And I did that, and I owned it. And I've not been that since I married your mom time. But other than that, what have I been done that's trashy?
Savannah
Dad, let's name it.
Todd Grayson Chase
Now you come on here and throw shade. I need you to point it out.
Grayson
CD in South Carolina.
Todd Grayson Chase
Community dick. No, I was community dick for. Okay, Oconee County.
Savannah
Okay, but listen, that's besides the point. Like.
Todd Grayson Chase
But with that being said, what else have I done in your eyes as a parent? That was trashy.
Savannah
I've done trashy.
Grayson
Dude, you fought somebody at a hotel in Las Vegas with me at the
Todd Grayson Chase
pool because of you.
Grayson
I was like eight.
Todd Grayson Chase
And they. What did they do to make me fight them?
Grayson
They were yelling at her kid.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, I thought they was yelling at mine. Listen, now, what was. What have I done in your childhood?
Grayson
It's been trash jump through car window at somebody.
Todd Grayson Chase
That guy was picking on his son, was picking on Chase and Kyle and Lindsay. And then he. When I. He ran his mouth and he spit at me. I dove in his car and beat the damn brakes off him. So that don't count. That ain't trashy.
Savannah
Well, then we're just going to come up with every everything, and it's just not going to count. This is called. This is called no accountability. It's not lack of awareness.
Todd Grayson Chase
Again, folks, on behalf of my children.
Grayson
Two times.
Savannah
Two times.
Todd Grayson Chase
Who else have I fought?
Grayson
You're trashy back.
Todd Grayson Chase
Why not that thieving out for Steven, Promise.
Savannah
Okay, I agree with that.
Grayson
What's the guy's name you beat the out of and he tried to stab you and papa wouldn't let him.
Todd Grayson Chase
Oh, no, that was Steve. Steve Halsey. He come up here, but he again me minding my own business.
Savannah
He come up to this. What is the common denominator that I like to fight.
Grayson
That's trash.
Todd Grayson Chase
We've acknowledged that.
Savannah
That is.
Grayson
Keep going. Keep going with what you're saying.
Todd Grayson Chase
He come up in Unani and papa's house and he really did get his ass beat for no reason because he wasn't really doing nothing but that ugly ratchet ass. Horrible, despicable, just nasty faced ginger root. Horrible individual that I laid down with in 19 and who 1989. Everyone has those nights to where twos turn into 10. That was that night. But I ended up having a kid with two of them with her. And then she was going to run her mouth about Lindsay and Kyle saying she was going to. I said, no, you're not going to take my kids nowhere.
Savannah
I thought she was running her mouth about me.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, she did not. It was about Lindsay and Kyle. She said she would take Kyle and I would take means. I said, you dumb bitch, you ain't splitting up my kids. I'm going to take them both. And she got up in my face and Steve thought we was going, that we were going to fight. So he went, put his hands between us. Well, all I saw was a hand coming. So in the heat of the moment when that hand crossed that threshold, I beat the brakes off him. I beat him so bad that his tassel on his shoe fell off.
Savannah
Okay, so.
Todd Grayson Chase
And then he jumped up and tried to pull a knife out, was going to stab me with it. And my daddy said, you pull that knife on my young and I'll send you to hell. Well, all I heard was my daddy say that and I'd already beat the shit out of him. I run through mama's house, down that hallway and come up that other hallway back in that kitchen and beat the shit out of him again. But again, that was not my faul. That was me defending one of my two of my kids. Go ahead, what else? All of these four instances that I have fought, y' all say was trashy, but yet I was fighting for one of my kids.
Grayson
You would talk about some real white trash. I got A picture you laying in your pool on a pool float with your ankle out of the water because you had your ankle monitor on you.
Todd Grayson Chase
I was not gonna. I was not gonna be pale for the summer.
Grayson
Tell me that is not some white trash right there.
Todd Grayson Chase
I don't know. I caught that.
Grayson
I can get in the pool, but I gotta hang my ankle out.
Todd Grayson Chase
I did it. I did. I did it and I own it. And I still had good color for the whole season. Next. What else you want to put out there about me? Because I own my. What y' all want to put out there? Come on. Come on.
Savannah
I think we've kind of made our point.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, you hadn't.
Savannah
We have.
Todd Grayson Chase
And if it wouldn't embarrass me, I'd call y' all after some of y' all do it.
Savannah
You got nothing to embarrass me. I know who I am.
Todd Grayson Chase
I got kicked.
Grayson
He's been. He's been. One basketball game. The only basketball game came to. He got kicked out of.
Savannah
Well, okay.

Grayson
You were on the court screaming at
Todd Grayson Chase
the referee because you were not wrong. He was. I never did like that organized sports to begin with.
Savannah
We're all trashy.
Grayson
You want to talk about trashy? Who's got some trashy ass moments? I love her to death. Savannah and mama.
Todd Grayson Chase
Your mama.
Grayson
Mama has been kicked out of countless of my baseball games.
Todd Grayson Chase
But that's because she again taken up
Grayson
and then she refused to leave.
Todd Grayson Chase
And I had because my wife, my
Grayson
baseball coach walked up to me one time and he goes, is that your mom? I said, yep. He goes, I figured, just walked off.
Todd Grayson Chase
But it's just because we don't let people run over. She's up.
Grayson
She would be up against the fence screaming. And the umpires were like 17 year old kids and they were. She was screaming at them.
Savannah
Yeah, we're all trash here. We are trashy.
Todd Grayson Chase
At the end of the day, your generation is far trashier than my generation.
Grayson
Okay, whatever
Savannah
you came from the Earnhardt generation. Get the out of here.
Todd Grayson Chase
I don't even know what that means. What the.
Savannah
They learn heart.
Grayson
You see, Richard, I put that some in the wall.
Savannah
Which one? The senior. I mean, junior, obviously.
Todd Grayson Chase
No, see? Yeah. Dwar wal. Okay.
Will (IQ Bar Creator)
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
I don't know who all these people are.
Savannah
I mean, it's okay. Just embrace our trashiness. We are trashy. We'll cuss you out. We'll fist fight you. That's who we are. I'm proud of it.
Grayson
I'm proud of it.
Savannah
It's a super weapon.
Grayson
I love it.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, we're superheroes.
Grayson
I love it. Because people assume that we're different.
Todd Grayson Chase
People assume we're different.
Grayson
People assume that we're going to be this prim proper and we will cuss you out.
Savannah
I don't think anyone thinks that of us.
Todd Grayson Chase
I think no, they used to. They used to.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
But that's been shattered.
Savannah
Yeah, because of you.
Todd Grayson Chase
It's not because I think it was a group effort. You know, I did get in a fight one time when I was thinking about this at the Pizza Hut in Anderson, South Carolina. Because this girl, she had a hole in the crotch of her sweatpants, and she was sitting in the booth across from me, and she raised her legs up, and my friends and I were sitting across the way, and she started flirting with me. And her boyfriend got mad and tried to start shit, saying I was trying to hit on his girlfriend. And it was me and Bill and my friend Sonia that were there. And we got in the parking lot. He starts running his mouth, and I beat the of him in the. And the Pizza Hut parking lot. So I did do that.
Savannah
Point proven. I rest my case. It's okay.
Todd Grayson Chase
I still love Pizza Hut.
Savannah
I'm not ashamed of you. I'm not ashamed of your trashy behavior.
Todd Grayson Chase
I'll tell you, I've been ashamed of some of yours.
Savannah
I. Then I take what I said back. I've been ashamed of some of yours.
Todd Grayson Chase
You can't Indian give.
Savannah
I. I just did.
Grayson
Did.
Savannah
At the end of the day, you've been trashy. Grayson has been less trashy. I have been less trashy.
Todd Grayson Chase
It is less trashy than me.
Savannah
Me.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah.
Savannah
Yeah, you.
Todd Grayson Chase
Not lies. I tell you.
Savannah
I own my. I own it. If I did it, I did it. And I probably wouldn't do it again, but some of it I probably would.
Todd Grayson Chase
I don't know of nothing.
Grayson
I only do.
Todd Grayson Chase
You should be doing again.
Grayson
I only do stuff when I'm provoked.
Savannah
Yeah, I would.
Carvana Announcer
Would.
Savannah
I would do some of it again.
Grayson
I'm not the type of person to walk up somebody.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah, I'm not that. I'm not like that.
Grayson
I'm not gonna walk up somebody and run my mouth.
Savannah
No, I'm not either.
Grayson
If somebody says something to me, I'll give you a response.
Savannah
I feel like we're all like that. We're not gonna exactly. We mind our own business like that.
Todd Grayson Chase
Stupid.
Savannah
In Restoration Hardware, that came up on us.
Todd Grayson Chase
Oh, my God. We've not talked about that. Not even on Chris the confession.
Savannah
So we, my dad and I, were in Restoration Hardware having lunch. Lunch. Minding our own business, not talking to anybody. And this woman. This shows you she's probably a Democrat. She for sure was. But she went. Finished her meal, sat there for like, a good, what, 20 minutes? Gets up and is walking out and. And looks at us and goes, you should. What? She said, you should be ashamed.
Todd Grayson Chase
You should be ashamed, and you should be in prison along with your president.
Savannah
Yeah. And called and called Trump a pedophile.
Grayson
You dumbass. Just because you don't claim him does not mean he is not your president.
Todd Grayson Chase
And then she says, along with your pedophile presidents. What she said. And before we could, folks, we are trashy. I'm not going to try to hide it no more. Because both of us at the same time, I said, eat a bag of dicks. And he goes, yeah. Right in the middle of the Restoration restaurant.
Savannah
I was coming up out of the seat, I was like, let's go.
Todd Grayson Chase
And I said, it's my time. It's my time.
Grayson
It's my time.
Todd Grayson Chase
Someone did it. But then we had this couple who was liberal sitting across from us.
Savannah
He was not. She was.
Todd Grayson Chase
She. That's right. He was a conservative, she was a liberal. That married couple from Nolensville, I think. Lovely, lovely couple. And they've been together for like 20 years or something. And Chase, of course, never knows when
Savannah
to stop because I don't give a shit.
Todd Grayson Chase
And so I turned over because I was mortified. So I turned to the left of me and I said, I apologize for that. And the husband said, oh, don't apologize. I was expecting you to give her more than what you did. And Chase goes, probably a damn liberal. And the wife goes, I'm liberal.
Grayson
I was like, well, I'm sorry for you.
Todd Grayson Chase
And what he said, he goes, well, I'm sorry. But we ended up having a 45 minute conversation with them. How she felt it was so inappropriate, that that's not how you engage people. And. And my thing is, is that.
Savannah
And of course she needs to be glad Savannah wasn't there because Savannah would have beat the.
Todd Grayson Chase
We would have really been track it had been on the news.
Savannah
Savannah would have dragged that through restaurant.
Todd Grayson Chase
You talk about it, Chase, we are trash.
Savannah
We are.
Todd Grayson Chase
We are. Because that made me think of something. When my daddy and my Aunt Mary fought the whole VFW club when they was up there when I was a child.
Savannah
Well, you go back to think about
Todd Grayson Chase
when we had all the Chrisley's fault.
Savannah
We had our house in Seaside. Me and. Me and Kyle beat the shit out of those kids. And then drugs drug their bikes into our yard.
Todd Grayson Chase
Mm, I remember.
Savannah
And then our housekeeper at the time runs out. We're thinking she's gonna pull us off these kids. She starts hitting them with the fly swatter looming.
Todd Grayson Chase
That's. That's when we lived on Seaside Avenue. On Seaside Avenue.
Savannah
But Lindsay put someone's head. That girl's head through a fence. Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
And had them straw all in her hair. And I wore her ass out. I said, ladies, don't act like this. But, you know, I have raised a bunch of trashy kids that will fight.
Grayson
But the good news is we will fight them. But we will fight them together.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yes, that's right. That's right. We all. We might fight amongst ourselves, but when the fight is brought against us, we all fight together.
Grayson
I've had situations where, like, I'll be walking through two dimes to the back, and somebody will say something to me, and I'll let it go at first. Then they'll say something about Savannah, whip around, and I will trek through that crowd to find out who it was.
Savannah
Have you had to beat anyone's ass yet?
Grayson
I've gotten close a few times. And Cannon got in the middle, and I said, cannon, you better back the up. I said, I don't know what you gonna do, but you don't need a pack of lunch. Stop me.
Savannah
See, I never. I just. When someone says, I just snap. And next thing you know, I'm in
Todd Grayson Chase
handcuffs, my friend, that all the cylinders are not clicking over here.
Savannah
It's not over there. I got it from there.
Todd Grayson Chase
But, you know, when I was growing up, you know, your nanny face, she's a fighter.
Savannah
So every single person Daddy was, daddy fought you.
Todd Grayson Chase
Mama would fight you. I remember when this guy Chris lived across the street from us. And I had this little dog. Her name was Prissy. And she had three little puppies, and she was a Pekingese. And she had angel and Scotty and Precious. Those are the three names for them. And those little dogs would follow her everywhere she went. And I had him in a little building out in the back. Well, that Chris stole my fucking dogs. So I beat the shit out of him on the school bus and on bus number 14. And when I got off, his nose was bleeding. I mean, his shirt ripped off of him. Because he wouldn't tell me where my dog, Priest, he was. And so he went home and told his mama. Well, she called the house that you know where your nanny's house is, the house right across the street. She called up there threatening me. And Mama was standing in the kitchen cooking. And Mama said, you tell that loudmouth bitch to meet me out in that street. Tell I'll meet her out there. We'll both. We'll both meet her out in the street. Mom went, got her house coat off, put her some damn blue jeans on. She said, let's go. And we marched right out there in that street. And that woman, she had big Bouffant, bleach, blonde hair. And Chris is. Like I said. And I popped him right there in his mouth again. And that mom was gone. And Mama just stepped right in there. She said, I'll drag your ass through this town. And she know. She didn't mess with your nanny either. We got our shit done and still didn't get my dog, Prissy. She's still missing. What? Yeah.
Savannah
You never got.
Todd Grayson Chase
Never got her back. And her little babies, Scotty and Precious and Angel. I don't know where they ended up. Probably in a pound somewhere.
Savannah
I would have burnt their house down.
Todd Grayson Chase
Well, I mean, I would have done some crazy.
Savannah
I would have burned their house down for sure.
Grayson
I think the issue is y' all are quicker.
Savannah
Oh, yeah.
Carvana Announcer
Than I am.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah. I don't have you. Once the switch has been flipped with
Grayson
me, I still have it. It's there.
Savannah
You just. It takes. You can. You'll talk and like. And deal with it. I'm weird.
Grayson
It depends on what's said, though. My biggest things are Mama and Savannah. If something is said about mom and Savannah, we're already done with the.
Todd Grayson Chase
Before I get over there, there was this guy who took my brother's Rubik's Cube on the bus and threw it and busted his Rubik's Cube. I beat the brakes off of him. I tore him from one end to the next. I remember Mike Kelly was our bus driver. And on Seed Farm Road, I told Mike, I said, when you hit that curve on Seed Farm Road, you pull over, because I'm going to beat the shit out of him. And when we went to get off that bus, I stepped down. He was coming down next. I caught him by his shirt, snatched him off that bus. And we fell down in a gully. And he got down on top. He was on top of him because I fell in the ditch first. Randy got on the back of him because Randy always thought he was a damn WWE wrestler. And so Randy, out weighing 27 pounds, threw his arm around his neck and pulled him off. And once I got. He got off of me, I beat the shit out of him. Do you know that he talked about it on his radio show about three years ago?
Savannah
Really?
Todd Grayson Chase
And asked me to come to South Carolina to be on his radio show and talk about it. He said, I remember you and Randy. He said, y' all jump me at the same time. So, yeah, you know, we have been fighters.
Savannah
So at the. At the end of the day, moral
Grayson
stories, we are trash.
Todd Grayson Chase
And, you know, my poor Aunt Jane, who was never Trashy. In our family, she was the most educated, the kindest. You know that.
Savannah
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
And she raised to. That they would fight you at the. Cheryl Wilder would fight you if you woke up. That's all she needed was for you to have a pulse.
Savannah
So we've, we, we're all trashy. We've all been trashy.
Todd Grayson Chase
Yeah.
Savannah
And if you, if you run your mouth month, we'll be trashy again.
Todd Grayson Chase
If you run. Well, I need somebody here in this town to remember this episode and keep your same energy. So I guess that today would be the day that we have all decided that we are trashy.
Grayson
Yeah.
Todd Grayson Chase
So, folks, you have it. We acknowledge it, don't proud of it and don't press our buttons. On that note.
Savannah
And don't run that mouth and don't. And think it's not going to get popped because it will.
Todd Grayson Chase
That is the truth. We will, we will do that. Yeah, we will do that.
Savannah
You've been arrested for it. I've been arrested for it. Allegedly.
Todd Grayson Chase
We didn't give a shit.
Savannah
I don't either.
Todd Grayson Chase
I don't give a shit. I had. Let me just before I, Before I, Before I end this podcast. There was this guy that I went to school with. He was older than us. His name was Mike. Hell, I'll just call it Mike Fulbright. And Mike never gave a shit. And everybody knew that he would fight you at the drop of a hat. And he was a big guy. And I stayed away from him because at that time he was in love with the same girl that I was in love with because, you know, we were both in love with dawn and. But I didn't love her enough to fight him. I never loved her enough to fight him. And now Mike and I are like best buddies. He'll text me, he calls me, how you doing, man? So glad you're home. Whatever. But Mike, when you. You knew that he was going to rock your world, they didn't know about. Nobody was stupid enough in town. So I'm, I'm Mike Bull brought up. We didn't have nobody in my generation had nobody dumb enough to say they was going to clean Mike's clock because they knew. And just so you know, I had to surrender the true love of my life at that early age of 13 or 14 or 15, whatever it was, to Mike. Because, Dawn, I didn't love you enough to fight Mike. So on that note, until next week, good luck and God bless.

Host: Todd Chrisley
Guests/Co-hosts: Chase and Grayson Chrisley
Main Theme: Generational Gaps and Embracing Trashiness – The Chrisley Family’s Unfiltered Self-Reflection
In this raucous, unfiltered episode, Todd Chrisley and his two sons, Chase and Grayson, sit down for a classic “real talk” session. With characteristic wit and honesty, they explore the differences between generations – from parenting and social norms to technology and what it means to be “trashy.” The conversation moves quickly from generational divides and cultural changes to a candid airing of personal family stories, culminating in the group sharing and ultimately embracing their so-called “trashy” behavior and family legacy.
([21:00]–[24:36])
([29:38]–[44:42])
Todd rails against tattoos, piercings, and what he sees as the “trashy” aspects of youth culture.
Savannah and Grayson argue trashiness is about actions, not appearances, and "trash" exists in every generation.
Family Trashiness: Confessions and Callouts
This episode exemplifies the Chrisley family’s blend of humor, honesty, and banter. At its core, it’s less about who’s classier or lazier, and more about the need to acknowledge flaws, embrace family messiness, and support each other through multiple generations of chaos. Even as they joke about fighting, “purges,” and tattoos, the Chrisleys are ultimately about loyalty, authenticity, and loving one another amidst the madness.
If you miss the days of “real” family conversations, complete with sibling roasts and stories your parents would never tell in public — this episode is a chaotic, hilarious, and weirdly heartwarming ride.
